Reminder that Jily has its own fandom and terrifically talented fic writers, who write out of the world fantastic fics, but 'you' may not be aware of that, because you keep ignoring this community with its fantastic works and anything that doesn't have the random fanon ships in the background, or only acknowledge Jily when it's ooc and in the background of other ships and rarely even written by its shippers. We don't need people who neither like nor know the characters, who don't want to write them to force themselves to do so, we never asked. Jily is also quite popular, has always been for decades, its one of the more popular ships in HP fandom, especially among canon ones. In fact, the "how is it so popular when they've been dead the whole series" has been the running joke for years in the bigger fandom. Maybe they're not AS popular as the made up, completely removed from who they are ships tend to get in fandoms or the weird tiktok goncharov ships that aren't even related to HP anymore, but I wouldn't want that anyway, I'd rather Jily stay as who they are, in character and retaining their essence and charm, because they're GOOD like that, them just being Jily already makes them perfect and we don't need them to be replaced by imposters to make a new ship. Neither do we want to. They became so big because of the natural chemistry the characters had in their one scene, not because fan-written original novels borrowing their names went viral on tiktok.

Wymack watches as Andrew crosses the lawn. It was the second fastest that Wymack had ever seen his goalie move, the fastest was still at the Championship match during Neil’s first year.

He watches as Andrew collides with Neil like a freight train though Wymack doubts a freight train has ever clung to someone the way Andrew clings to Neil in that moment. He doubts even further that someone would cling to a freight train the way Neil clings right back.

He sees Andrew’s hand in Neil’s brown hair.

He sees Neil’s shaking hands cling to Andrew’s shirt.

He sees Andrew press his face into Neil’s neck and take a deep breath.

Seasons Greetings ~

Hi all! I know I've been largely absent on here and socially, popping up here and there to dump memes, quotes, and hellos to people at random. It's the end of the year and I'm simply tired, still have to work cause I have no PTO, and I'm entertaining family and friends irl.

That said, it is unlikely I will do anything special for Christmas or New Years because I'll be offline but I am around in general. My ask box is always open (not for writing requests) and I look forward to the events and updates I have planned for next year!

I hope everyone has a happy holiday season, happy new year and I wish everyone the best and a drama free end of 2023.

Don't stop talking about Palestine, Sudan, Congo, and the fight against genocide for many more, and protest every country being exploited for resources using human slave trade and unfair practices, eat ethically sourced chocolate [shout out to Tony's Chocolonely], and keep boycotting to support BDS {fuck Starbucks and McDonalds}.

#whump meme #~my stuff~ #my brain hates me sometimes lmao #i just want a story where two characters are stuck in a broken down car in the middle of winter and having an argument #which leads to one stomping outside in some petty attempt to 'find help' while the other person doesn't realize #what is happening at first. they think their friend is just taking a quick second to catch their thoughts. not the best idea in a snow stor #but the other option is them tearing each others heads off so a little separation is fine. but then their friend starts walking away #and keeps going. so now they have to chase after them to corral them back into the car #because yeah its broken but its still somewhat warm unlike this suicide mission you are attempting!! #and then theres a big blow up because they have kinda been the shit-stirrer so their friend just is #im fixing it!! im being not annoying/useless/something related to whatever they were arguing about!! #so now they get slapped in the face with the fact that they've been taking out their bad day/week on their friend #who was simply being themself and trying to cheer them up/be nice #and when they eventually get back in the car the friend now feels like shit because they not only wasted heat from the car #but they also dragged their friend outside just bcuz they were being a brat so didn't they just prove the other person's point? #so now the two are just in a guilt huddle apologizing for being idiots as they inevitably wait for their rescue #bonus points if the rescue involves their rescuers trying to separate them and the other person just *refuses* to let their friend go #because they have a need to keep the first person warm after feeling like they essentially forced them out into the cold #is that too much to ask?? (i could turn this into an A talks to B scenario... also thinking about my OCs but when am i not lol)
