Hii☺️! I wanted to ask if you could make a post about what made you like Kawaki x Sarada, i'm also a fan and it would be nice to see what made another fan like them. Thanks in advance!

Well tbh it'd be a very long post if I were to go really full in depth on why I like the pair so I'll try to summarize as much as I can.

For starters I like that their dynamic is one of equals, Kawaki treats Sarada no different than he does Boruto or Mitsuki, for context, refer to chapter 58 which everyone uses against the ship but actually it showed one of the best aspects of Kawaki and Sarada's relationship

Kawaki doesnt look down on Sarada at all, he doesnt view her as incapable of fending for herself or as some weak damsel that needs protecting, no, he attacked her with the same energy as he did Mitsuki, and Sarada fought back to put Kawaki in his place.

Ppl view this as toxic, but in all honesty this was just two teammates having a heated disagreement who decided to mutually battle it out to settle it. These ppl are ninja/fighters, this is not Kawaki attacking some defenseless civilian or vice versa, but an EQUAL adversary with combat experience just like him.

Compare that to how Boruto treats Sarada in this moment and you'll get a clear idea of why alot of ppl prefer Kawaki and even Mitsuki >>

Boruto immediately jumps in to protect her, assuming Sarada couldnt defend herself and that Kawaki actually would do something as stupid as severely hurt or even kill Sarada in broad daylight infront of them AND Naruto who he KNEW was watching them, meaning theres no way Boruto actually thought Kawaki would be that stupid, he just assumed Sarada couldnt handle it and instead needed to let HIM handle Kawaki instead because apparently shes incapable of getting her own squad in line.

This not only undermined Sarada as their captain, but also gives a clear insight on what their dynamic will be as Hokage as well. Boruto will ALWAYS come to her rescue not because he has to, but because he looks down on Sarada, he doesnt see her as an equal, he sees her as someone he has to protect, someone who should just 'let him handle it' and her just obediently stands back as he fights all her battles.

This pathetic dynamic between them continues even in TBV with him having been gone 3 years, he literally appears in the very first chapter doing the exact same thing hes always done, taking over her battle and telling her to let him handle it.

Theres is no equality there, Sarada has zero leadership when it comes to Boruto and instead just does whatever he tells her to do, so much so that he feels more like the captain and future Hokage than she does.

Kawaki gives Sarada no such treatment, in every encounter he and Sarada are on equal footing, she doesnt submit to him anymore than he does her, and Kawaki actually believes in Sarada's abilities and knows she can fend for herself, hes shown this in the Boro fight when he was willing to rely on her and her alone to find Boro's core and destroy it because he had faith in her sharingan, he also agreed with Mitsuki that she was the most suited to be captain and lead them.

You can argue that all 3 of them put their faith in Sarada, but Mitsuki was the one who suggested she be captain, and Kawaki was the first to agree that she gave them the highest chance of winning, the only one who complained was Boruto until he was outnumbered, which just furthers my point of how he perceives her.

Notice how this fight was heavily changed in the anime to make it seem like Boruto was the one who had the most faith in Sarada? when in the manga it was actually Kawaki and Mitsuki who did? yea, this is canon, that is SPs fanfiction, which turns out that ALOT of the anime only content and additions really are fanfics that the manga disregards entirely, so I'll keep my reasonings tied primarily to the manga.

Sarada doesnt clam up with Kawaki, she stands up to him, doesnt back down, she never submits to him and always stands her ground.

Again ppl take this as toxic, but in reality it shows just how much Sarada has her own autonomy when shes with him, something she loses entirely when in the presence of Boruto.

When Boruto tells Sarada to back off vs when Kawaki tells her to back off

The difference is night and day but lets move on

Another reason I like the ship is because she was his first friend, the first girl to witness his trauma, and the first one besides the Uzumaki fam to reach out to him despite all his rudeness toward her up till that point.

In the new Database Kawaki's favorite food is listed as being Taiyaki, which was introduced to him for the first time through Sarada, making Sarada the reason Kawaki discovered his favorite food, and not just that, the first time he actually got to CHOOSE what he wanted to eat. This is something reinforced by the anime as well, as Kawaki remembers Sarada's suggestion that day and decided to try it for himself this time.

I will reference the anime only for things that add up with the manga.

Whats special about this is that Sarada will always be connected to his favorite food, even more special in the anime because Kawaki had ate other food prior to first trying Taiyaki, and yet the one he decided was his favorite was the snack he tried through Sarada.

Their flower symbolism is also a huge reason I love the ship, Sarada being the Scarlet Spring and Kawaki being the Broken Vase could not be more poetic and something alot of the rival ships lack. For example KawaSara has what I mentioned, while BoruMitsu has the sun and moon, and BoruSumi has the violet flower Sumire's named after for her sincere feelings and Boruto as her savior.

Alot of ppl think BoruSara is the sun and moon which is...stupid but they base it on their doujutsu's which again is stupid because the sun does not apply to Sarada's character anymore than the moon does Boruto, that is literally Boruto and Mitsuki's symbolism, but the fact that they try to take that tells you that they dont really have any symbolism of their own, if they did they wouldnt need BoruMitsu's

The supporting shadow and Hokage also doesnt apply to them because its a dynamic shared between their fathers even before they existed, so its actually THEIR symbolism that once again that fandom tries to piggyback off of because again, they have no real symbolism of their own, they always have to steal or insert themselves into someone elses.

KawaSumi is no different, ppl try to make her somehow the water for Kawaki's dryness, or the water he lacked in his bamboo cup, the bamboo also being symbolic of Sumire in this scenario, and somehow they inserted Amado into this goofy theory as well.

Water has never been symbolic of Sumire, she just has water nature chakra, but its not an actual aspect of her character, no that has always been her name, the flower shes named after, Violet, which is hanakotoba means sincerity which applies to her character and her sincere feelings for Boruto. Her last name has been irrelevant in the grand scheme of things but yea, even her last name Kakei meaning bamboo has nothing to do with her overall character, she just took her mothers surname so she could infiltrate the village and thats as far as that went.

Now the biggest symbolism they try to claim is yin and yang, which in both match ups they have their placements wrong entirely, but because they have to FORCE this dynamic, because its a dynamic all the past pairings had, they try to FORCE them to fit where they dont belong because they know if it were actually accurate that their whole attempt would fall apart.

Basically they try to paint Boruto and Kawaki as yin and Sarada and Sumire as yang, sometimes Sarada as yang and Boruto as yin

This however is incorrect, and its incorrect intentionally because the truth debunks this entirely.

Boruto and Kawaki are canonically Yang and Yin, so their placements are set in stone, as for Sarada and Sumire? you need only look at the other yin and yang types to figure it out.

Sasuke is also yin, Sakura is yang, Naruto is yang, Hinata is yin, Shikamaru is yin, Temari is yang, Minato is yin, Kushina is yang, Ino is yang, Sai is yin

You get the picture, so who fits the mold? Sarada obviously fits yang, and Sumire obviously fits yin, and thats exactly why they avoid the truth in regards to this, because Kishimoto always had balance in his pairings, but with BoruSara and KawaSumi, it would be completely imbalanced with yang x yang and yin x yin.

So even the yin and yang symbolism is out for them, but not for KawaSara, not for BoruMitsu, and not for BoruSumi.

Anyway moving on I like the whole red flower symbolism they have going on for them as well, because Sarada is the scarlet spring, it is very fitting that their main flower symbolism is red carnations and red camelias, both of which symbolize love in hanakotoba, and we saw those red carnations placed in the vase that is symbolic of Kawaki's heart.

The symbolism is strong with them, it'd take too long to go into everything but to sum it up they are a very symbolic pair, which is why I prefer them over the other bland alternatives that really have nothing going for them other than again, taking what another ship has or fabricating symbolism when there is none.

Another reason I love the ship is because of its potential, instead of the dynamic with Boruto where Sarada will always stand back, the dynamic ppl THINK they have is actually between her and Kawaki. If and when Hokage, Kawaki would allow Sarada to shine on her own, to call her own shots, and he'll just support her, he'll help where she asks/needs and back off where she doesnt.

As for in the present I really saw alot of potential for their development over the 3 years without Boruto around to interfere, I thought there could've been alot of interesting conflict and development over that time but...unfortunately...seems like there was hardly anything which is disappointing.

There was a huge potential for Sarada to play dumb and pretend shes affected to have Kawaki let his guard down so she could stick close to him and gather whatever info she can from him, since her and Kawaki would be 'childhood friends' its not odd for her to ask personal questions, she could've asked how he felt about what Boruto did, how is he able to go through with killing his brother, isnt it hard on him having lost his family and his brother betray him etc after all they did for him

She could've gotten insight into his mindset, Kawaki could've expressed some remorse or sadness, could've vented to her like he did before, or maybe even show his frustration at her only caring about him right now because she thinks hes Boruto and wouldnt be reaching out to him right now otherwise. For example, a scenario this fanart was based off of.

There was potential for some real angst and internal conflict, Sarada trying to gain info out of Kawaki thinking the worst of him but realizing he actually wasnt being malicious and really does feel remorse for his actions but just genuinely believes this is the only way to protect everyone. There was also the potential conflict of Kawaki feeling totally isolated and alone, since the only ones who knew the truth would be him Ada and Daemon, and having Sarada be kind to him as her close friend when he knows [believes] she never would if she knew the truth could've been really interesting. Both of them struggling with this conflict between truth and lies could've been really interesting. Sarada and Kawaki both feeling guilty for the secrets that their keeping, but still pushing forward to do what they believe is right.

There was also the potential of Sarada not pretending to be affected, then there was potential to show some relief from Kawaki that there is atleast someone who still sees and remembers him for the real him, who still treats him as Kawaki and not Boruto. Over the years things would've obviously been heated and hostile between them, but I would imagine somewhere along the lines they could've become civil rivals.

Sarada would still oppose Kawaki, but she would atleast put aside their differences to deal with the current threats, and Kawaki would do the same.

I would've hoped that she and Kawaki had fought Code off multiple times over the years because chapter 80 ended on Code headed to Konoha to kill Boruto, who at the time still believed he was in the village, so it would've made sense that Code pulled up to the village, got beat by Kawaki and probably Daemon assisting while Sarada and co attended to the civilians safety and claw grimes, obviously being clear outmatched Code would retreat and try again another time, at some point he'd learn Boruto isnt in the village and would stop to go target him instead, until he eventually gets bored of chasing him down and comes back to Konoha again, where again I would've liked to see Sarada and Kawaki team up against Code to protect the village, especially now that 3 years had passed, Sarada has MS, Kawaki should be WAY more skilled with karma and Isshiki's abilities now, so it would've been cool to see them display their new power against Code and catch him off guard.

But nope, they didnt live up to any of that, not even close, and even now with Sarada on her way to help back up Kawaki and Delta we already know shes not being allowed to do anything and that Boruto will race right on back to protect them all again, its just so pathetic fr.

Regardless I still like them for what they COULD have been in the hands of a more competent writer.

Lastly ppl dont give this moment enough credit, but this was a HUGE thing for Sarada's character and her relationship with Kawaki

Keep in mind Sarada has known Boruto and Chocho since childhood, they are her BEST friends, her closest friends out of all her peers, and yet she has NEVER opened up to either of them about her feelings about her dad. In Gaiden Sarada literally hid her true intentions regarding her father from Chocho even tho she could've easily told her everything and Chocho would've backed her up but she didnt. Same for Boruto, you always see Sarada being considerate and looking out for Boruto's feelings about his dad, but you NEVER see him reciprocate that same consideration for Sarada, only in the anime/novel but NEVER in the manga, not even in the movie written entirely by Kishimoto do we see Boruto sympathize with Sarada at all, infact he just outright yells at her and only thinks about himself because his dad works too much, but he never once thinks about how Sarada feels not having her dad around at all growing up.

Sarada didnt feel she could confide in neither Boruto OR Chocho who were her two closest friends, but she opened up to Kawaki about something deeply personal to her that she NEVER did with anyone else, she even admits to being envious and resentful of Boruto who took what he had for granted, feelings she never would've had if he were actually reciprocating the same consideration about her dad as she did his.

This moment showed just how much she related to Kawaki, that finally she had found someone who understood, who felt the same way she did, who understood the same peace and solace that Naruto gave her in her darkest time, the confusion and heart ache she felt and how Naruto reached out to her even though he didnt have to, how he treated her as family even though she wasnt, how he gave her the love and affection she desperately craved but was lacking from her own father, Sarada UNDERSTOOD Kawaki because shes been where he is, and thats why she was able to open up to Kawaki in a way she never could anyone else.

Whats even more important about this moment is that Kawaki listens to her without saying a word but his expression speaks volumes, he looks at her which shows him really listening and taking in what she says, then he looks down with a pained expression as if her words really struck a cord with him, because he knows what shes talking about, he's felt it, and he's going through it now with Naruto gone.

Not only that, but the peace and comfort he received from Naruto was gone now and it was all his fault, now Kawaki is left behind powerless and helpless without Naruto to hold him and tell him it'll be ok this time, but Sarada fills that role this time instead by letting him know she understands and that he's not alone, both of them are suffering, both of them HAVE suffered before this, and both of them were saved by Naruto, and both resented Boruto for taking what he had for granted.

Ppl like to say that Sumire understands Kawaki because of those anime only moments, but as I said alot of the anime only stuff is essentially meaningless in regards to the manga as the manga doesnt acknowledge even half of the stuff that exists in the anime, so I will not be taking those episodes into account here because the manga completely contradicts them, also the episodes dont even show she understands him, all it shows is Sumire projecting her own experiences onto him and Kawaki telling her she doesnt know him and Sumire agreeing she doesnt but is trying to. I dont think it gets much clearer that she didnt and doesnt understand him.

Their conversation in the lab also didnt show she understood him, all she did was be nervous and repeat Narutos words, not relating to him personally with her own words, Kawaki did most of the talking himself, not really addressing Sumire directly but more so thinking out loud, then Sumire just adds her 2 cents about the obvious which is Amado being sus and wanting Kawaki to think that way.

There are way more reasons why I like the ship and way more detail but like I said I dont want this post to be super long so I'll leave it here, hope you got a pretty good enough idea of why I and many others like the ship, and why we dislike the others.

Maka’s “girly” downfall is shoes. She will lose her shit over a nice pair of boots. By nice pair of boots I mean platforms or combat boots. Nothing else. It took Soul finding out and subtly wearing more leather, black, and spiky stuff for her to finally break her shell.

Horror and scy-fi are her favorite movie genres much to Soul’s dismay. She might shriek like a baby at a jumpscare but by the end she feels so eager for more and more that they’ll have horror movie marathons when it’s her turn to pick stuff to watch. He doesn’t know how to properly express his feelings so he composes music to try and show them he cares. Maka was the last one to hear her song. He wanted to perfect it.

Remember the first ending? With “I wanna be” playing and Maka and Soul running? That? Yea. Soul had a Naruto run phase and when he’s older he looks back on it and cringes. Maka insists that, “Cringe culture is dead. Like what you like.” And he agrees. But he’s rightfully allowed to cringe at how blatant he showed his admiration for Naruto. As you thought to yourself you heard a familiar barking coming from behind you. When you turned around you saw a happily bouncing Akamaru coming toward you. When the ninja hound made his way to you he jumped up, his paws landing on your shoulders. Akamaru was taller than you when he stood on all fours. He gave you a thumbs up and looked down at Akamaru. “Then Akamaru and I are going to go hit the store and get everything that we need and I’ll meet you at your place around six?”

A knock on your door caused you to turn around and jump some. You looked at the clock and realized what time it was. You spoke softly to yourself. “Kiba…” You were already picturing the man before you opened the door. 

His excited smile greeted you as you held it open. “Good evening milady.” He bowed and held a bottle of champagne out to you. 

You grasped the bottle and held it. “You even brought champagne? What a gentleman.” 

He followed you in and shut the door behind him. He couldn’t keep his eyes off of you. You had only been in a baggy t-shirt and a pair of shorts, but you still looked as beautiful as you always did. 

You allowed him to start dinner while you set everything up for the movie. As he moved swiftly through the kitchen preparing everything you found your gaze lingering on him. You had never realized how at home Kiba looked in the kitchen. When he approached with two bowls of ramen that looked almost to delectable to eat you smiled. He placed them on the coffee table and poured you each a glass of wine as you both sat on the couch. 

He held his glass to yours. “To best friends and always having each other’s backs. Forever.”

You clinked them together. “Yes, I one hundred percent agree with that. Forever Kiba.”

As the two of you ate dinner and drank your champagne it felt like home. Just being in each other’s company made you both feel at ease. The more champagne the two of you drank the more confident Kiba was getting. 

Before you even knew what was happening Kiba’s arm slowly made its way over your shoulder. You didn’t pull away. Instead, you leaned into him, resting your head on him. Look I'm not one of those people who believe Kishimoto decided to have Hinata and Naruto end up in the middle part of Shippuden. I believe he decided in the very last arc but he wanted to sound smart so he said he decided earlier on. Otherwise, they obviously would have more scene together. In Shippuden, they have only three scenes together ; when Naruto came back, the pain attack and the neji death scene. That's it. In the original Naruto, they probably have less than ten canon scenes not including fillers.

So I'm sorry I'm one of those who wasn't convinced by The Last. They literally had a basic villain go after Hinata who was cringe btw (the villain). They gave Hinata op powers which she doesn't have in the novel 👀. Despite having op powers, they made her the damsel in distress. Very "The hero saves the princess" cliche. Again, to justify them being together. I mean Naruto can't differentiate his love for ramen and romantic love so how??? He was just being nice to Hinata just like he does to everyone. He stood up for her just like he does for everyone.

Don't get me started on the Sakura Sasuke relationship 🤣. Cringe. They never knew each other. The whole Sakura's love for Sasuke saved him doesn't make sense. They spent barely a year in their genin year before sasuke left. Sasuke tried to kill Naruto and Sakura multiple times. Then at the end of the war, Kishimoto tried to do the "oh they have such a deep understanding between each other" which comes off as cringey. He gets her pregnant then leaves for years. She's literally a single mom who's broke.

Every relationship in Naruto is so cringey and forced except shikatemari. Kishimoto should've focused on the main story and fixed his potholes and leave the ending open.

Naruto would not have been perfect but at least it would've been remembered for staying true to its vision but instead it's remembered for cringey relationships, dumbass villain (except pain and madara) and a story that lost its core which is a shame coz I used to love Naruto. I was inspired by its messages but now....

The Last tbh i think the writers played it safe and stuck to the whole Naruto shounen vibe thingy, so im not surprised it was plotted that way. Typical cliché shounen movie.

But does that bother me? No! The Last was a mess, their development was shit, they definitely needed more screentime but hey at the end of the day theyre cute as fuck, we have that kiss scene, flirting scenes, a shit ton of official art, three kids, Seiki's gif :33 and a whole ass arc for their wedding all that for just a shounen anime so eh. Tenten, Ino, Sakura, and Hinata all sat inside Konohas local bar. The bar was very welcoming and small. Ino suggested that the girls attended this bar because they served the best drinks. Everyone agreed, so they ended up there.

Sakura and Ino were both drinking pina coladas, while Tenten was drinking a Mojito. Tenten was a heavyweight drinker, so she was sure that a drink like a mojito would have no effect on her.

Hinata was drinking a Long Island iced tea. It was her favorite drink ever since Kiba let her taste his when team 8 had a reunion. It was her 2nd one and she was starting to feel a little woozy.

Hyugas had a very low tolerance for alcohol. Just a few sips would threaten tipsy-ness. A common way to tell if a Hyuga was drunk was to look at their cheeks. They often blushed when drunk, their faces turning beet-red almost.

“Guys! I have an Idea. We should do a contest.” Ino suggested.

“Well, spit it out! What is it, Ino-pig?” Sakura badgered Ino, shaking the girls arm even.

“Well, I wanna see, who could drink the most.” Ino sinisterly smirked. She wanted tonight to be a memorable one, why not have a drinking contest?

“Your on Ino-pig!” Sakura yelled.

“You too billard-brow!” Ino screamed back.

Tenten hovered both of them, darkly smiling.

“You both are going down.”

Hinata got nervous. She was already a bit tipsy, and she knew that a few more drinks would make her an incoherent, babbling, stumbling mess. How would she even make it home?

“Um, I don’t know if I should. I’m not that much of a drinker.” Hinata quietly remarked, as she always spoke softly.

“Oh come on, Hinata! Losen up, have some fun! It’s a girls night! Drink till your head falls off!” Ino laughed, slinging her arm around Hinatas shoulder.

Hinata thought about it. She should losen up. She was always at home, or doing boring things like grocery shopping.

“Ok. I’ll do it.”

“Woohoo!” The 3 other girls Hooted. It was often their missions to make Hinata jump out of her comfort zone. This time, the mission was successful.

“I forgot to mention that, my cousin owns this place. Watch this.....Scuse me Bartender!”

“Yes darling.”

“Can I order 12 shots of tequila, please. Put it on Rikus tab. He won’t mind.” Ino confidently ordered. Without any questions, the bartender immediately poured up 12 shots of tequila quickly.

“Wait, how did he know you weren’t lying?” Sakura questioned.

“I’m just the splitting image of my cousin. People even used to think we were twins when we were little. We both have lucious blonde hair, icy blue eyes. You know, the works.” Ino explained, flipping her blonde hair everywhich way.

“Oh shut up Ino-pig, let’s get drinking! Hinata you take the first shot.”

Hinata slowly reached for the tequila shot in front of her. She grabbed it and attempted to just sip from the glass, before Tenten stopped her.

“Oh Hinata, your just like your cousin. You can’t sip tequila you have to gulp it down in one go! Here like this.” Tenten took a shot and forced it down at top speed. She yanked a lime from her plate and sucked the wedge.

“Light work.” She said as she wiped her mouth of any lime pulp. Ino and Sakura both glanced at eachother In confusion and in awe. Didn’t the tequila burn her throat? Didn’t it sting like tequila always does? This girl was a monster.

“Ok Hinata, now you try. But instead, dip your finger in salt first to lessen the burn.” Tenten commanded.

Hinata dipped her finger into the salt and put it onto her tongue. She grabbed the tequila shot and looked at weirdly for a second. Then, she threw it down her throat, almost crying at the burn of the tequila. Hinata grabbed a lime off the plate in front of her and sucked it for dear life.

“Yea! Go Hinata!” Sakura shouted, patting Hinatas back. Hinata coughed and hacked intensely, her throat still burning a bit from the tequila.

“Alright! My turn.” Inos hand glided toward the shot glass full of tequila. She inhaled the tequila down her throat. Her eyes began watering a little, but she was still confident.

“I’ve still got it!” Ino yelled loudly across the bar, voice shaking a bit.

“Chaaaaa! My turn! I’ll beat you Ino pig!” Sakura cheered herself on. She grabbed the glass and slurped it down.

“Chaaaaaaaaaaaaaa! I am superior!” Sakura applauded her self loudly.

Now it was Hinatas turn. It would be her turn for each time Tenten, Ino, and Sakura went. It had been 3 shots later, and Hinata was the drunkest she has probably ever been in her life. Stumbling, babbling. Spewing the worst things from her mouth.

“Hey, Hey, Hey! I’m the Byakugan princess, ya know! Give me another drink, will ya.” Hinata sung while trudging out of the bar, with Tenten carrying her of course. Tenten was used to carrying Hyugas around. She did it to Neji quite a lot. This, frankly, was her job.

“No, Hinata. You can’t have another drink. And why do Hyugas start singing randomly when drunk! This always happens!” Tenten ranted. She remembered when Neji got really, like really, drunk this one time. She could almost remember it like yesterday.

“Tattoo on my head, Hinatas my cousin, I like rum, hey hey! Doesn’t that rhyme Tenten?”

Tenten chuckled lowly under her breath. What was wrong with her boyfriend?

“Why can’t I have some more liquor! Liquor is my superpower!” Hinata slurred while Tenten hurled her into her cars passenger seat.

“This is gonna be a long ride.” Tenten sighed loudly. She started up her car and headed for Naruto and Hinatas house.

After 15 minutes, which actually felt like 30 hours because of Hinatas constant babbling, the 2 girls reached Narutos house. He was home, fortunately. Tenten couldn’t imagine spending more time with Hinata while she was drunk.

Tenten walked over the passenger seat of the car and opened the door. She grabbed Hinata and lifted her out of the seat.

“Come on, girl. Let’s go.” Tenten said, as she carried her friend over her shoulder to the door.

Tenten rung the door bell. Naruto opened the door, surprised to see Hinata slumped over Tentens shoulder, still lightly singing random words that barely made sense. Tenten stared him down.

“Is she....

“Yes, she’s drunk. Like really bad.”

Narutos face began contorting. He was beginning to huff, until he finally busted out laughing.

“SHES DRUNK!! NEVER IN A MILLION YEARS I WOULDVE THOUGHT HAHA!” Naruto loudly laughed in Tentens face.

“Well yea. She is. So here you go. She’s all yours.” Tenten said as she pushed Hinata onto Naruto. He caught her immediately.

“Huh? Tenten, your leaving me alone with this sexy man? Oh, who is he? The Byakugan princess is very pleased!” Hinata babbled once again. Tenten just rolled her eyes and chuckled. Naruto got wide-eyed at Hinatas words.

“Thanks Tenten. Tell Neji I said hi!” Naruto waved goodbye.

“No problem. I will!” Tenten yelled back and got into her car, vrooming away.

Naruto was already inside on his couch, with Hinata laying on him of course.

Hinatas cheeks were the deepest shade of red. Her pupils looked dialated and her eyelids were heavy.

Ok welcome to my Kingdom hearts blog where my motto is FDB Kairi, Vanitas and Sora deserved better, Repliku deserved to be with Namine or at least say goodbye to her before disappearing, Sora and Riku shared the paopu first and the ending of kh3 is the result of the paopu gods being pissed because Sora shared the paopu with another and you cant tell me otherwise, Soriku is canon fars Im concerned and every Sokai moment in this game was awkward and forced af, Namine, Roxas, Xion and Ventus all deserved more screentime, we have a million Sora’s but we cant have 2 Riku’s? come on man

So anyway to sum up my main view points

FDB Kairi, KH3 literally made me hate her when before I just simply disliked her

Namine, Xion and Aqua are best gals

Roxas, Vanitas, Ventus and Sora are best boys

Riku’s cool although not my fave he has my respect

Vanitas and Ven should have reconciled in KH3 and possibly reunited, if not then the two should have reconciled and actually had a heart to heart instead of just ‘I am darkness goodbye’ ‘ok’ that is NOT how that should have gone, Xehanort gets to reconcile with Eraqus but not Vanitas with Ventus? gtf outta here man, I didnt expect Vanitas to have some big sappy ooc moment I just pictured something similar to Naruto at the waterfall training with Bee fighting his darker half and only after he learned to accept and embrace it could he move forward, THATS what I expected but nope, what was the point of even bringing Vanitas back if you werent gonna let these two make peace? this whole game has been villains having change of hearts and the worst one of all being Xehanort even has one but Vanitas just goes out as ‘I am darkness’ which makes all the build-up to Vanitas redemption till this point just to have it end like this in the end of the Xehanort saga is a huge slap in the face, so in that regard I guess I empathize with Kairi fans who expected her to do something but did absolutely nothing

Nomura unintentionally confirmed Riku did the paopu ritual with Sora back in KH1 by confirming in this game that the whole sharing of the paopu legend didnt require you to eat it but just giving it to the other person, proven by Kairi simply giving Sora the paopu but neither of them actually eat it yet that was supposed to represent them finally doing the legend thats been built up since KH1 which was supposed to be a huge Sokai moment but it just ended up becoming a huge Soriku one instead lol

Kairi should have never had a keyblade and not because of my personal bias but because HOW she got to be able to use one shouldnt even be a thing, you shouldnt be able to just touch the handle of a keyblade wielder and be able to use a keyblade no, it should be like what Terra did formally bequeathing Riku that ability the same should have applied to Kairi and everyone else, Sora touching Riku’s light is excusable because the keyblade chose him which is the ONLY other way someone should get a keyblade is if their CHOSEN by the keyblade itself, please tell me why the keyblade would choose Kairi, what has she done to EARN or DESERVE a keyblade? be a princess of heart? shouldnt all of them have keyblade then? no? of course not cuz thats bs, there is no reason thats why she needed just a half-assed excuse as to why and how she got one, hell even Axel had to prove himself to earn his keyblade, Kairi’s literally the only one who it was just handed to with minimal explanation

I love Sora but I swear in some areas in KH3 it felt like I was watching 2 different people, our Sora and whoever the hell that was

Kairi should have stayed dead in KH3 not just because of my personal feelings toward her but because they literally set it up in POTC with Wills death and Elizabeth being strong and going on without him and then Xehanort kills Kairi and although I knew it was unlikely I figured it was even MORE unlikely that Sora would be the one who dies because hes the protagonist and Nomura literally said Sora would continue to be the protagonist in future games so it’d make more sense for Kairi to die and Sora just having to learn to live on without her and accept the fact that no matter how hard he tries he CANT save everyone, but nope Nomura just pretty much tossed that opportunity for growth and development with Sora and just lets him abuse the power of waking and die for some chick who didnt deserve it that he already killed himself once for this SAME person in KH1 only this time it was alot less impactful but just really infuriating and unnecessary and just overall pointless

Kairi shouldnt have been in the final battle, PERIOD, Roxas should have been brought back earlier on and HE be the 7th light needed while Kairi hangs back and keeps training with Merlin, the fact that anybody let an amateur into the final biggest most dangerous fight ever for her first time using a keyblade on the battlefield boggles my danm mind that even Sora or Riku or Yen Sid didnt tell her to sit this out because she WASNT ready or hell Kairi HERSELF saying she shouldnt go acknowledging that she herself isnt prepared for this serious a battle and she doesnt wanna get in their way and risk them getting hurt trying to protect her, the fact that NEITHER of these happened boggles my friggin mind and please dont say ‘well they needed a 7th light and Roxas needed a spark yatta yatta yatta thats why’ because I can make a whole separate post about why thats bullshit and how it could of happened if the writing was actually GOOD and SENSIBLE there

I do not care if Roxas ends up with a friggin tree or Axel smashes a toaster or Riku with Xion or Sora with Isa IDGAF about shipping in KH because there is way more important things going on then to worry about who gets with who, the only reason I care about Sokai is because I love Sora but despise Kairi and think he can do so much better and even if that ends up bein a frog IDC just as long as it aint her so its really not about the ship but more about what a garbage character Kairi is

23. Name a fic you’ve written that you’re especially fond of & explain why you like it.

I’m honestly fond of my most current story that’s about my OC Saryie with her team. Its called Stirring Emotions. I know I have mentioned it before and I know some people may be sick of me talking about it. However, I am so fond of it because it was the first multiple chapter story I finish in less than a year, that’s how pumped I was to write it even when I was busy finishing up school. 

I like it so much because I knew I wanted to create something different that could be added on to the Naruto world. I am rather picky though, and I don’t like how most oc stories try to mess with Naruto’s life or his background. So I knew I didn’t want to do that with my story. I wanted a character to bare witness to the plot of Naruto without actually changing anything. Now my oc Saryie had been in the drafts for years. I created her when I was 13 years old when I first started watching Naruto. She was a very blunt and unrefined character that I created. I truly got to test out her personality in a different story that was a Naruto AU fic I created. It got me use to writing her character. Then before this story came along, I had worked hard to develop her story and her background. Which also led me to develop more OCs because I wanted to put Saryie on a team that was  going to help add to Saryie’s background. 

So the whole process of preparing and designing characters was very fun for me. Plus, I really wanted to write a proper story for Sai where he is neither the perfect boyfriend or the worst boyfriend. Some people will either write Sai as too dumb or they will write him as too sensitive. I wanted to create a slow burn of how Sai discovers his feelings and wanted to portray a real life feel of a relationship. 

I’m very proud of my story for that reason.  Also, figuring out ways to add to the Naruto story was what made my story even more enjoyable, because I wasn’t just working on creating a romance fic but an all encompassing adventure and romance one. I’m still working on the Sequel to my Stirring Emotions story with Sharing Emotions where Saryie and Sai’s relationship grows further and takes places during the war.  So yea, that’s what I’m most fond of… can’t you tell? lmao

26. How do you come up with your fanfic titles?

I’ve been told on more than one occasion that I am not the best at naming stories 🙂 I perfectly agree. Some feedback I have gotten is that my titles are too dull and dont catch reader’s interest. 

So how do I pick titles? Well for instances with these scenario requests if I write the scenario first, I try to pick a title that summarizes the event. However if I choose a title first and then write the scenario, I just make the title generic. 

As for my stories on fanfiction… I kind just go with the first thing that pops into my head which is bad sometimes. 😅

27. What do you hate more: Coming up with titles or writing summaries?

Titles. Summaries are ok. I’m not the greatest at it, but I try. 

28. If someone were to draw a piece of fanart for your story, which story would it be and what would the picture be of?

I always thought it be cool too see fanart of my Naruto AU story where most Naruto characters are at an Art college. This story was like created when I was 14 years old so its not the greatest but… can you imagine like…

Naruto all deck out like a pop artist as he has dreams of being a singer

43. Is there anyone in your fandom who really inspires you?

Yes, the whole reason I wanted to refine my own oc was because of an author on fanfiction. She had created a neat Kakashixoc fic that wasn’t at all mary-sueish and didnt affect the plot of Naruto and made me fantasize creating my own story in a similar way. 

There are also a few authors on tumblr that had inspired me to start my own imagines blog. 

46. If someone was to read one of your fanfics, which fic would you recommend to them and why?Probably my latest story with my OC because its more well-written. Frankly my Naruto AU story embarrasses me when I read back on it and even if I do like the compliments I get on it, I know its not the best. I was a young teenager when I wrote it and I just wish I had thought about it more.

You have great taste in music! I really like R&B-style songs too! My playlist is so long bc whenever I hear a kpop song I like, I just it to the playlist rather than my library. 1.      What’s your favorite tv show, book, game and anime?

Favourite tv show: Too Cute a show about baby kittens, puppies and other pets if they choose to showcase them c:

Favourite Book: Naruto I loved reading the whole series from start to finish. But if Manga doesn’t count I would have to say Shadow’s Edge by Brent Weeks, the trilogy is so good but that one stuck with me c,:

Favourite Game: I can’t pick one so Pokemon Gold, Watch Dogs, Deus Ex Human Revolution and Assassin’s Creed 3 it featured Mohawk boy Ratohnhake:ton and I am Mohawk as well!

Favourite Anime: Naruto and Naruto Shippuden! The show and Masashi Kishimoto inspired me so much from grade 7 to now ^__^

Very rarely now  because I am busy with other stuff. But I tend to read like 3 a day depending how long they are c:

I have many and I am a multishiper but these are my main ones ^.^ Reibert, KushMina, Euri, SasuNaru, ShikaTema, YumiKuri, Springles, JeanMarco, Sawako and Kazehaya, KakaIru, Eremika, LeoEzio, I could go on but yea like I said I’m a multishiper so yea~

4.      Who is your favorite characters of all time?

Naruto he’s so awesome, even with a horrible childhood he kept going, never gave up and wanted to be friends with everyone c: He just kept getting stronger and wanted to make bonds so war doesn’t have to happen. Like me he wants everyone to be understood, and I believe that can happen if we understood one another and accepted that everyone is different and are unique, and come to a peaceful understanding we all can be friends. He fought for good, and in the end he saved his best friend that was truly awesome, along with others who became his friend.

My other’s are Bertholdt, Kakashi, Minato, Kushina, Reiner, Annie, Ymir, Sasha, ChoCho, Itachi, Shusui, Sawako, Sherlock Holmes played by RDJr, Levi, Deku/Izuku, InuYasha, Dazai and Atsushi from bungou no stray dogs, Tsunade, Yaoyorozu, Tsu-chan/Tsuyu, Iron Man, Spiderman, Thor, Loki, etc I can go on forever and ever.

Cats and Foxes, cats are just amazing, cute, playful, beautiful, caring, fun etc. Foxes look so cute I love how they look *heart eyes*

Not really?

7.      The worst fandom for you is?

I don’t really know since I am not all that active in any(I just usually enjoy fanart,fanfics, headcannons etc) but I don’t like when people intentionally hurt, harass others just because they do not agree with them. Why can’t we all just get along, mind our own business, and not put others down? We are dealing with real people who love and enjoy something, so why make it toxic?

8.      The best fandom for you is?

Reibert, I love how we all love Reiner and Bertholdt. I’ve met really nice people through Reibert and I am so thankful to be mutals/friends with them! All of the fanart, fanfics, headcannons, people who love Reibert are all so awesome and fun to be in!

9.      What’s your boy or girl type?

A caring, loving, understanding boy who can accept me, my family, my friends, and interests. Someone who share interests with me and is open, honest, chill, helpful and loyal to others. Tbh I’ve been single all my life and so I have no idea if there is someone like that ;w; but yea those are the basics I guess~

Summary: What happens when Y/N finally returns to the Village Hidden in the Leaves? Her life is flipped upside down when not only does she find the man that’s awaited her return, but she finds someone she thought she’d never see again.

*Kakashi's P.O.V*

As the kids ran through the woods their mission was clear, they were becoming seasoned, they knew what they were doing. They all answered Y/n and I when our voices emerged through their earpieces. 

Sasuke’s brooding voice was heard first. “This is Sasuke, I’m at point B.”

The bubbly pink-haired Genin spoke next. “It’s Sakura, I’ve made it to point C.”

And finally the number-one knuckle head Genin. “Naruto, I’m at point A. Believe it.”

I scolded Naruto through the headset. His response should have come sooner. If we were out of the village on a real mission we would have assumed something had happened to him. “You’re slow Naruto.”

As I attempted to scold him further Y/n cut me off. “Okay, squad seven. The target is moving, follow it.”

The kids all surrounded a lone bush. I watched them closely, they all had determination in their eyes. “What’s your distance from the target?” 

Naruto was first to answer me this time, clearly learning his lesson. “Five meters, I’m ready, just give the signal.”

Sasuke nodded. “I’m ready too.”

Sakura blushed as she watched Sasuke intently. “So am I.”

“Okay, now!” The kids all sprang for the bush, each wrestling a small brown cat. Naruto was the first of them to grab and not let it slip. He hugged it tightly so I changed my focus to Sasuke. “Can you verify the ribbon on the right ear?”

He turned back toward Naruto, taking a glance at the cat. “Affirmative, we’ve got a positive ID.”

Y/n gushed with excitement, grabbing my arm and squeezing. “Right, lost pet, Tora, captured. Mission accomplished!”

Naruto was never pleased with the missions we picked for them. The cat hissed as Naruto spoke about it. “Can’t we get a better mission than this! I hate cats!”

* * * * * *

 When we got back with Tora the owner was overjoyed to see her. The cat writhed with anger as her owner’s grip around it tightened and she made it a pancake as she squeezed it to her face. It screamed at her as she squeezed it, the owner none the wiser. 

The five of us stood before her, Naruto still brewing about the hiss he had gotten in the woods. “Dumb cat.” He laughed at himself. ‘He deserves to get squashed.”

Sakura’s look turned to horror. “No wonder he ran away.”

We made our way to the Hokage to get our next mission. Our leader spoke to us. “Now then, for squad seven’s next mission we have several available tasks. Among them; babysitting the chief counselors three year old, helping his wife do the shopping, digging up potatoes, and-”

Our faces turned to cringe as Naruto spoke over him. “NO! I want a real mission. Something challenging and exciting, not this little kid stuff! Come on old man!”

I was dumbfounded by Naruto’s actions, not that it should have surprised me. Nothing Naruto did surprised me anymore, I was accustomed to his stupidity.

Y/n looked over at him, trying to ease the tension a little. “Naruto, enough.”

Suddenly Iruke stood up and slammed his hands on the table before us, jumping the five of us. “How dare you?! You’re just a new Genin with no experience, like everything else you start with a simple mission to work on your skills and prove yourself!”

Something was bothering Naruto today, we could all tell as he fought back. “Are you serious? Babysitting is not a mission, it’s just stupid…”

I lifted my fist and sunk it into the top of Naruto’s head, he fell to the ground holding his head, a welt already starting to grow. Y/n and I were never going to hear the end of this one. “Will you put a lid on it?”

The Hokage’s look had never faltered as he looked on at Naruto. “Naruto, it seems you do not understand the task you have been given.” Naruto stopped rubbing the welt on his head, silencing his bellyaching, to look up at the Hokage. “Listen, many kinds of tasks come into our village every day, from babysitting to assassinations. These requests are carefully recorded and analyzed.” He lifted a hand to point at the scrolls in front of him. “They are ranked A, B, C, or D, depending on their difficulty. We ninja are also ranked by ability. Hokage at the top, Jonin, Chunin, and Genin at the bottom. At the highest level we pick missions and assign them to ninja with the proper experience. If the mission is successful we receive a fee that supports our village and our work. Since you are untried Genin, just starting down the Shinobi path; you are given D level assignments, of course.”

The five of us had zoned out during the Hokage’s speech, beginning our own conversation, regretting it not too long after as the Hokage’s booming voice was heard above ours. “SILENCE!” The anger was clear on his face.

I placed my hand on the back of my head, rubbing it. “Oh… sorry.”

Y/n smiled an apologetic smile toward him. 

Naruto’s next wisecrack of the day escaped his lips. “You always lecture me like you’re my grandfather or something. But, I’m not that little bra that used to pull pranks all the time. I’m a ninja now, I want a ninja mission.” He turned around and sat down, sulking.

Y/n shot a glare at Naruto before turning to me. “We’re going to hear about this later.”

I rubbed my head nervously again. “Yea, we are.”

The Hokage chuckled. A huge surprise to us all. “Naruto wanted us to know that he’s not a brat, just a former brat, and he wants a mission. So be it.” Y/n and I looked up at him with wide eyes. “Since you are determined I’m going to give you a C ranked mission. You’ll be bodyguards on a journey.”

Naruto turned back around to face him. “Really? Yes!” He jumped up. “Who, who? Are we guarding a princess? Or some big wig counselor?”

“Don’t be so impatient. I’ll bring him in now.” He looked to his right. “Send in our visitor.”

A bigger man in a sun hat, clearly intoxicated and barely able to make coherent sentences came out. “What the? A bunch of snot nosed kids?” He took another swig from his bottle. “And you, the little on, with the idiotic look on your face, you really expect me to believe you’re a ninja?”

Naruto laughed as he looked between both of his fellow Genin. “Who’s the little one with the idiotic look on his…” Realization hit him as he realized he was the smallest. 

Naruto tried to run at him and I grabbed the back of his jacket, holding him back with ease. A sigh left my lips. “You can’t demolish the client Naruto. It doesn’t work that way.”

He took another swig. “I am Tazuna and I’m a master bridge builder. I must return to my country. I’m building a bridge there that will change our world and I expect you to get me there safely, even if it means giving up your life.”

* * * * * * 

As we reached the outer gates Naruto was the first one out, dashing through the gates and jumping around. “Yea! Alright!”

Sakura’s annoyance was all over her face. “What are you getting so excited about Naruto?”

“This is the first time I’ve ever left the village. I’m a traveler now, believe it!”

Tazuna was not amused by Naruto’s antics. He looked toward me. “Am I supposed to trust my life with this runt? He’s a joke.”

I chuckled. “He’s with me and I’m a Jonin, along with Y/n. She’s just a Jonin from another village. No need to worry.”

Naruto turned around and pointed directly at Tazuna. “Hey, never insult a ninja, it’s a big mistake. And I’m one of the greatest ninja ever. Someday I’m going to be Hokage and you’ll look up to me. My name is Naruto Uzumaki. Remember it!”

Tazuna took another drink. “Hokages are powerful and wise, you are puny and brainless. The day you become Hokage, I’ll sprout wings and fly.”

“Shut up!” I’m willing to do anything to become Hokage, no matter what it takes. And when I do everyone will have to admit that I’m the top ninja, including you!”

“You can become Hokage ten times over and to me you’ll still be a nobody, a loser.”

“I’m going to make you pay for that right now.”

Naruto jumped at him and Y/n and I both grabbed his backpack. I was getting annoyed with the two of them already. “I told you Naruto, you’re supposed to protect the client, not attack him.”

Y/n looked over at me as Tazuna started to walk away. “Well he is kind of being an ass.”

I made an agreeing noise so that I didn’t encourage Naruto.

As we walked Sakura tried to make conversation with the bridge builder. “Hey, Mr. Tazuna, can I ask you a question?”

“What is it?”

“Your land is the Land of Waves right?”

“Yea. What of it?”

She turned to me. “Kakashi-Sensei, there are ninja in that land too, aren’t there?”

I looked over, happy that I could teach them something and keep them from causing more trouble with the client. “No, there are no ninja in the Land of Waves, but in other countries there are hidden villages, each with their own different customs and cultures where ninja reside.”

“To the people of this continent the existence of Shinobi villages means strength. In other words, that’s how they protect themselves and maintain the balance of power with neighboring countries. The ninja villages are not controlled by any government. They’re independent and have equal status.

“Now a small island like the Land of Waves has natural protection from the sea, so there’s no need for a ninja village. The five ancient lands that possess Shinobi villages are the Lands of Fire, Water, Lightning, Wind, and Earth. They each occupy vast territories. Together they are known as the five Great Shinobi Nations.”

“The Land of Fire had the Village Hidden in the Leaves. The Land of Lightning had the Village Hidden in the Clouds. The Land of Wind had the Village Hidden in the Sand. The Land of Earth had the Village Hidden in the Stones.”

Y/n cut me off. “The Land of Water has the Village Hidden in the Mist. That’s where I came from after my Clan was wiped out. THat’s where I became a Jonin.”

I started again. “Only the leaders from these villages are permitted the name Kage, which means shadow. Hokage, Mizukage, Raikage, Kazekage, Tsuchikage. These are the leaders, the five shadows that rein over thousands of ninja.”

Sakura was elated. “Then Lord Hokage is really important.”

They all stared straight ahead and I spoke up. “Hey! You all just doubted Lord Hokage, didn’t you.’ They all shared the same nervous look. “That’s what you were thinking.” Sakura and Naruto shook their heads furiously. I placed my hand on Sakura’s head. “Well, anyway, there are no ninja battles in C ranked missions, so you can relax.”

Sakura looked up at me. “And we’re not going to run into any foreign ninja or anything like that?”

I laughed. “Not likely.”

As we got further and further the group got quieter and quieter. Nobody knew what to talk about anymore. Y/n and I walked at the back of the group. Every so often I would take her hand when no one was looking, holding it for a couple of minutes. I noticed something as we walked. I slowed Y/n down and turned our attention. THere was a single puddle in the middle of the diry, it hadn’t rained in weeks. We both slowly started to walk again. Suddenly we heard noises behind us. I was the first to turn around. There were two ninja coming toward me with chains. “What?” The chains wrapped around me and I felt myself get squeezed. As soon as I was able to, I used my substitution jutsu and jumped into a tree. Time to see what these kids could really do.

I probably should have told Y/n my place before we started, but maybe her panic being real will kick the kids into gear. Y/n looked around, her head moving a mile a minute. “Kakashi!” The fear on her face manifested deep. She never fought alone, she refused to since the Uchiha massacre. I knew she could do this without me, she didn’t need me as much as she thought she did.

She had not fought solo or been in a situation where she had to since the night that Itachi attacked her family. I could see her panic setting in more as she looked around, her gaze searching for Sasuke. The two ninja appeared behind Naruto.

They spoke to them with a menacing tone, trying to get him riled up. “Now it’s your turn.”

Naruto turned around. They got their chains ready to whip and lunged at him. Naruto froze in place and from out of nowhere the Uchiha siblings got to work, finding strength in each other. Y/n hollered to Sakura. “Protect Tazuna, Sakura.” Sakura jumped in front of him and stretched her arms out. Sasuke and Y/n jumped into the air. Y/n took out a ninja star and caught the end of both of their chains, spiking them into a tree. She was using Sasuke being there to get her through feeling alone, she had a look of pleasure on her face and the sound of the ninja star embedding in the tree rang out. Sasuke came from behind her with a kunai, putting it through the center of the ninja star to keep them in place. I hadn’t seen better teamwork in a long time. The Uchiha siblings were beginning to be an incredible team. 

With Sasuke around, Y/n seemed almost calm while she fought. Both ninja tried to pull their chains out. Sasuke landed on both their arms and kicked them both in the face, causing them to fall backwards, yanking their chains out of the mechanisms on their arms. Just as Y/n and Sasuke thought they had them they split ways. Y/n let Sasuke stay the course he was since it was easier for her to change her ways. One of them headed right for Sakura and Tazuna. Sasuke jumped down in front of them. The other was headed for Naruto again. Y/n soared for Naruto, landing in front of him. 

As the Uchiha hit the ground in front of Naruto I saw the rage that I had seen in her eyes the day that she left the village to find Itachi. She would soon become unfocused, it was time for me to intervene. Y/n lunged at the ninja, she wasn’t thinking anymore. As she lunged the ninja grabbed her arm and flung her against a tree on the other side of him. She hit hard and collapsed on the ground. 

I jumped down from the tree I was in and lunged, grabbing the two ninja by the necks, standing in front of everybody. They all stared at me with blank expressions. “Hi.” Sasuke's face turned from blank to unimpressed. “Naruto, sorry I didn’t help you right away. I didn’t mean for you to get hurt. I just didn’t think you’d freeze up like that.” I walked over to Sauke. “Good job Sasuke, very smooth.” I looked over at Sakura, smiling. “You too, Sakura.” I began to talk before I turned around. “And you, Y/n, I’m glad that you’re now-” 

Y/n was still laying on the ground by the tree. I hadn’t noticed that she hadn’t gotten back up. That wasn’t like her. I began to worry a little. “Y/n?”

Sasuke looked over to where she was. “Y/n?” He pushed me out of the way and ran over to her. He dropped next to her, panic filled his voice. “Y/n, are you okay?” She didn’t respond to him. She must have been knocked unconscious by the hit.

I tied the two ninja up before I ran over to her. “Move Sasuke, she’s just unconscious.” I took the water bottle that I had attached to my side and splashed water on her face. 

With a jolt Y/n sat up, she winced and grabbed her side. “Crap, my rib.” She tried to stand up, but wobbled but wobbled and fell back down.

I slowed her down. “Hang on, relax a second. You were unconscious.”

Sasuke crawled closer to her as she reached out for him. You could read the terror on his face like a book. Since they had found each other Y/n was his weakness and he along with myself was hers. She pulled him in and reassured him. “I’m fine Sasuke, it’s just a rib. I’ve had worse… trust me.” He smiled and we both held her stand up. 

When he was calmed down he looked over at Naruto, ready to taunt him. “Hey,”

Naruto looked up. “Yea?”

“You’re not hurt, are you?” Sarcasm painted his voice. “Scaredy cat.”

Naruto went to step forward at Sasuke and I stopped him, noticing his head. “Naruto, stand still, these ninja have poison in their claws. We need to take it out of you quickly. You have to open the wound and remove it.” 

Naruto looked panicked now. I knew he was scared, but it was the only way to save him. “It’s in your blood so don’t move around, that spreads the poison.” I redirected my voice. “By the way, Mr. Tazuna.”

He jumped as I talked to him. “Yea, what?”

“We need to talk.” We all stood around the two tied to the tree. “They’re Chunin from the Village Hidden in the Mist. Their specialty is relentless attack. They’ll keep fighting no matter what the sacrifice.”

One of the ninja spoke up. “How did you know about our ambush?”

“A puddle on a clear day? When it hasn’t rained in weeks?”

Tazuna sounded angry. “In that case, why did you leave it to the Genin and the panicky Jonin to do that fighting?”

Y/n glared at him and the ninja on the three spoke, taunting her. “Y/n, he would be so ashamed that the one he trained turned out to be such a wimp. He’d be so disappointed.” Y/n turned around and stared daggers at the ninja who was chuckled. Who were they talking about?

Y/n lunged at them a little and I grabbed her arm, stopping her from hitting the two men. “Shut up you disgraces. My thirteen year old brother just whipped your asses.”

I spoke back to Tazuna, ignoring what had just happened. “I could have taken them out quickly, but then I’d have learned nothing. I need the kids to see how real the situation was too, that’s why I didn’t say anything to Y/n.” I felt her glare on me. “I had to know how their target was and what they were after.”

“What are you getting at?”

“I wanted to know whether they were after us; ninja attack ninja, or if they were after you; the master bridge builder. When you put in the request you asked for standard protection from robbers and highwaymen. You didn’t say there were ninja looking for you, hunting you down.”

Y/n saw where I was going so she joined in. “If we had known it would have been a B ranked mission or higher. Our task was simply to get you to your destination and protect you while you finished building your bridge. If we knew we were wielding attacks from enemy ninja we would have staffed differently and charged for a B ranked mission.” 

I stopped Y/n, seeing how angry she was getting. “Apparently you have your reasons, but lying to us is not acceptable. We are now beyond the scope of this mission.” I tried to make myself  sound like an authority figure.

Sakura tried to sound apologetic. “We’re Genin, this mission is too advanced for our training. We should go back. And I really think we should get Naruto back and treat his wound. We have to get the poison out as soon as possible. Back in our village we can take him to a doctor.”

“Naruto’s hand could become a problem. I guess we should go back to the village.”

We all saw Naruto’ hand raise and come back down, the kunai in it slicing open his palm. “Why am I so different? Why am I always…” He turned away from us. 

We all stood in shock except for Sakura. She ran toward him. “Naruto! Stop that! What are you doing?” Naruto went off, rambling as the feeling of being a burden washed over him. “I worked so hard to get here. Pushing myself until it hurts. Training alone for hours. Anything to get stronger, to reach my dreams. I will never back down again and let someone else rescue me. I will never run away. I will not lose to Sasuke.” At the sound of her brother’s name being mentioned Y/n smiled a little. “Upon this wound I made this pledge. Believe it. Bridge builder, I’ll complete this mission and protect you with this kunai knife.” He turned back toward us with the knife still in his hand. “Don’t worry. I’ll be fine.” Determination littered his face. 

I was growing concerned. He was losing a lot of blood. “Naruto, that was really cool how you took the poison out and all, but if you lose anymore blood… you’re going to die.”

Panic rippled through Naruto’s body and Y/n started to walk toward him. “Give me your hand, it’s a good idea to stop the bleeding now. Seriously.”

His panic spread even more. “No, no, no, I’m too young to let it all end like this.”I snapped at him in an attempt to snap him out of it. 

“Naruto, show Y/n your hand.”Naruto ran over to Y/n, terror in his eyes. “Help, help, help.” 

Sakura’s anger with Naruto grew. “Naruto, you’ve got a self abusive personality. It’s called masochism.”

Y/n took his hand and stared. When I noticed she was just staring I looked over. “Kakashi,” She motioned for me. 

I walked over and we both stared at his hand. Naruto noticed that we weren’t doing anything and got worried. “Uhm, you guys have a really serious look on your faces. Am I okay?”

I grabbed some bandages from my bag and handed them to Y/n. She tried to calm him while she worked. “Yea, you should be fine.”

He sighed with relief  and looked over at me before thanking Y/n and walking away.

As we got farther down the path everyone seemed to calm down from the event before. Y/n and I hung back, talking about what had just happened, careful that no one could hear us. She spoke first. “What would make the mist ninja come after him?”

“Maybe he owes them something, that’s the only thing that I can think of. Nothing else really explains it. What did they mean when they said that ‘he’ would be disappointed in you? What are they talking about?”

“That’s a long story that I can’t explain right now. It had something to do with when I was in the Village Hidden in the Mist.” She stopped and gave me a small, weak smile before continuing. 

“What  made Naruto heal that fast Kashi?” Y/n only ever called me by my pet name when no one was around.

“I can’t explain that now either. I’ll tell you tonight when everyone’s asleep as long as you tell me about what the mist ninja meant.” She gave me a look of worry before agreeing.

Tazuna finally led us to the edge of the water, heading to where his bridge was going to be. We hopped onto a boat and settled in. I sat on the farthest end with Y/n next to me. The boat was crammed so me having my arm around her shoulders didn’t seem like a big deal. It was something we could get away with this time.

There was fog all around us. It was the protection for this small village. Sakura was scared. “The fog is so thick, you can’t see anything.”

The person steering the boat spoke in a whisper. “The bridge isn’t far now. Our destination is just ahead. The Land of Waves.”

We all looked forward, not able to see anything through the fog. When Naruto was finally able to see something he hollered. “Woah, it’s huge!”

The driver got angry with him. “Quiet! I told you no noise.” He was whisper yelling back at him. “Why do you think we’re traveling like this, huh? Cutting the engine and rowing, moving through the dense fog. It’s so they don’t see us.”

Naruto covered his mouth and seemed apologetic. I looked over at the bridge builder. “Mr. Tazuna, before we reach the pier I want to ask you something. The men who are after you, I need to know why. If you don’t tell us I’m afraid I’ll have to end this mission when we drop you ashore.”

Tazuna was annoyed. “I have no choice but to tell you. No, I want you to know the truth. Like you said, this is beyond the scope of the original mission. The one who seeks my life is a very short man who casts a long and deadly shadow.”

Y/N looked up. “A deadly shadow? Who is it?”

“You know him, at least I’m sure you’ve heard his name before. He’s one of the wealthiest men in the world. The shipping magnate, Gato.”I had heard that name before. “Gato? Of Gato transport? He’s a business leader, everyone knows him.” I was in shock.“Gato. He’s a very famous tycoon from a company that’s true, but below the surface, with the same ruthless methods he uses to get businesses and nations, he sells drugs and contraband. He uses gangs and ninja. It was one year ago when Gato first set his sight on the Land of Waves. He came to our island and used his vast wealth to take control of our transport and shipping. Anyone who tried to stand in his way simply disappeared. In an island nation a man who controls the sea controls everything. Finance, government, our very lives, but there’s one thing he fears. The bridge, when it’s complete, will join us to the land and that will break his control. I am the bridge builder.”

Sakura was putting the pieces together. “So that’s it? Since you’re the bridge builder you’re getting in this gangster’s way?”

Sasuke looked over at Y/N and I. “That means those guys in the woods, they’re working for Gato.”

Y/N looked over at him again. “I don’t understand, if you knew that he was dangerous, knew he’d send ninja to eliminate you, why did you hide that from us?”

“Because the Land of Waves is a small, impoverished nation. Even our nobles have little money. They are common people that are building this bridge, they can’t pay for an A or B ranked mission. It’s too expensive. If you end the mission when you drop me ashore there will be no bridge. They assassinate me before I reach home. Don’t feel bad about that, of course, my sweet little grandson will be upset. He’d cry 'Grandad, I want my Grandad’ and my daughter will condemn the ninja of the Hidden Lead, denouncing and blaming you for abandoning her and father and living her life in sorrow.” 

Of course he would bring up kids and grandkids. Anything to sucker us in. 

“Oh well. It’s not your fault, forget it.”

I rubbed my forehead through my headband and looked down at Y/N, who had sunken down in the boat further. “Well, I guess we have no choice. We’ll have to keep guarding you."

Y/N looked up at me and then held her arm out to Sasuke, who leaned over on her, sighing.

"I’m very grateful.” Tazuna smiled.

Y/N grabbed at her side and winced a little. I looked over at her. “Are you sure you’re going to be okay?”

“I’m not leaving you guys, I’ll be fine.” She sat back up and winced some more. She was in a great deal of pain, she had to have been to show it. “It’s an old injury, it’s just been hit again.”

I knew what she had meant by 'old injury’. It was something that had happened while she was saving Sasuke from Itachi, but she would never let him know this.

The driver spoke. “We’re approaching the shore, Tazuna.” He looked down. “We’ve been fortunate, no one has noticed us so far.”

“Nice going.” Tazuna appeased him.

* * * * * * 

The Land of Waves came into sight as we went through a small tunnel. When we reached the pier we all climbed out of the boat. We thanked the driver who then wished us luck and drove back off. Tazuna turned to us. “Take me to my home and by that I mean get me there in one piece.”

Y/N and I hung back some again so we could talk as everyone else sped up ahead. I looked over at her and I knew she could hear the concern in my voice. “The next ninja they send won't be Chunin, they’ll be Jonin, like us.”

“These guys aren’t ready to fight Jonin level ninja, Kakashi. They don’t have the skills. They could barely take on us at subpar.” She was starting to get her panicked voice back.

“Keep yourself calm or the kids will notice Y/N.” I put my hand on her back since no one was looking.

Seeming to relax, she looked back up at me. “I know, I’m sorry. I’m just worried about who they’re going to send. They’ve got some pretty tough Jonin in the Mist Village. I can think of one in particular.” She had known this personally.

Summary: What happens when Y/N finally returns to the Village Hidden in the Leaves? Her life is flipped upside down when not only does she find the man that’s awaited her return, but she finds someone she thought she’d never see again.

*Y/n's P.O.V*

I found Sasuke sitting on the small porch in front of the house. He was sitting on the step when I opened the door. He didn't move when I came out so I sat down next to him. I put my head in my hands for a minute before I talked to him. "I'm sorry Sasuke."

He looked over at me. "For what?"

"Last night, I should never have taken my anger and stress out on you like that."

"It's okay. I get it. I struck a nerve with what I said and I shouldn't have."

I wrapped my arm around his shoulder and pulled him into me. "You know that I cared more about you and your safety than I did having Zabuza alive, right? I would have died trying to save you if he had gotten any further yesterday."

"I know." Sasuke looked up at me. "I just couldn't stand to see you as hurt as you were when he went after Kakashi-Sensei. You two weren't as secretive as you thought you were walking through the woods either."

I chuckled at him. "You three can't say anything when we get back to the village. It has to stay between the three of us. Kakashi and I don't want people in the village to look at us any differently. I don't want them to break our team up. It's going to be hard enough to hide that the two of us are together when you come home with us."

"You have my word Y/n." Sasuke stood up from the porch, leaning down to kiss the top of my head. "Love you big sis." He smiled as he walked back into the house.

As Sasuke walked through the door Kakashi walked out. He sat down next to me with a loud sigh. "Are you alright?"

I looked over and smiled. "Yea. I'm fine. Just had to have a heart to heart with him after what happened yesterday. I told him that the three of them needed to keep our relationship to themselves until we're ready to say something."

Kakashi kissed the side of my head. The Mask was silky as it touched my temple. "Eventually we will. We just need to find the right time."

I sighed and laid my head on his shoulder. At least with the kids knowing it would be a little easier for us around them. We wouldn't have to worry as much about what we said.

* * * * * * 

Training the kids for the upcoming battle would be the hardest thing we had to do. We had told them to meet the two of us in the forest the following morning. Kakashi still wasn't completely up to par and had resorted to walking around using crutches to keep his balance as much as he could. I was still recovering from my injuries, but we had to prepare them as soon as possible. Who knew when Zabuza would strike again? And who would he bring with him this time?

The three of them stood in front of us, ready to learn. Kakashi leaned on his crutches and was hopeful that the kids were as ready to learn as they looked. "Okay, training starts now."

Naruto was excited, like he always was. "Alright!"

"First," Kakashi put one finger up. "We'll begin with a review on chakra, the ninja's basic source of power. Understanding chakra is essential."

Sasuke was getting cocky, something that was his specialty lately. "We know that."

Naruto piped up with him. "He's right, a long time ago we learned about catra..."

I hung my head and looked over at them, hoping my disappointment was clear. "Chakra..."

Naruto looked embarrassed and started to sweat. Kakashi looked over at Sakura. "Go ahead Sakura." He knew she would be able to explain everything to Naruto quickly.

Sakura put her hands on her hips and I smiled and chuckled a little, Kakashi watching me out the corner of his eye. "Alright, Naruto. I'll explain it simply so you can understand it. Chakra is the elemental life energy that a ninja uses in jutsu. It's the source of his power. Now this energy comes in two forms; there's the phsyical energy which exists in all the cells and the entire body all work together. The other is spiritual energy, the primal source of power which is intensified by training and experience."

I yawned and saw Kakashi smile at me, trying not to laugh at me as Sakura continued. "As you see, these two chakra must be drawn out and brought together in order to perform jutsu. Finally, hand signs focus and unleash the chakra."

When Sakura looked back at Kakashi with a smile he looked over at Naruto. "Right on all points. Iruka-Sensei really did have some excellent students."

Naruto was still sweating. "What's the big deal with all these complicating explanations? The whole point is to learn the jutsu, isn't it?"

Sasuke looked annoyed, but he couldn't help but agree with Naruto. "Naruto is right for once. We're already using chakra in our jutsu."

I looked over at me little brother and raised my eyebrows. "No! You have not mastered this power, you've barely scratched the surface of it!" I was just as frustrated with Sasuke's cockiness as Kakashi was getting.

Naruto started to raise his voice. "What do you mean?"

Kakashi sighed. "Calm down a listen." How did we end up with these two stubborn kids? "It's just like Sakura said, you have to draw on physical and spiritual energies and then combine them. But, how do you do that?" Kakashi looked over at me, clearly wanting me to continue. He knew that Sasuke listen best to me.

I nodded. "Each jutsu uses a differnt type of chakra and in different proportions. You must select and combine them in exactly the right way. Up to now you've just guessed at the proportions, hoping they'd come out right. Even if you produce a lot of chakra, if you can't balance and control it, it's all worthless. The jutsu wont work at all of it'll be a joke. You waste so much energy that way and then you're out of chakra and you can't fight at all, you're just a target."

Naruto looked a little embarassed, knowing he had a problem with that in the academy. He scratched his head. "So how do we change that?"

I was getting more frustrated so Kakashi cut me off. "Train so hard that controlling your chakra becomes second nature. To achieve this goal you must be ready to put your life on the line."

They all looked confused, especially Sakura. "What do we have to do?"

Kakashi pointed up. "Climb a tree."

They all spoke at once, complete confusion in their voices. "Climb a tree?"

"That's right." I smiled and cut Kakashi off. "But there's one rule; no hands."

Now the kids were even more confused. Sakura just looked annoyed. "What? You're kidding?"

"Are we? Let's see." Kakashi looked over at me and nodded. We both put our hands together and balanced our chakra. Kakashi hobbled over to the nearest tree and I followed. We climbed up the same tree , using just our chakra, focused on our feet. The kids stared dumbfounded on the ground. Just to throw them off even more we walked to the largest branch on the tree and hung upside down, having to focus even harder so we wouldn't plummet to the ground. "You get the idea. Focus your chakra to the soles of your feet and use it to connect to the tree. This is one way to use the power of chakra." Kakashi smiled at them.

"Wait a minute, that's a nice trick, but how does that help us fight Zabuza?" Sakura was once again, full of questions.

I let out a breath to calm down a little before speaking. "It's the only way to fight Zabuza. That's the entire goal of this training you guys. First, you'll learn how to draw a precise amount of chakra to a precise part of your body. This is difficult for even advanced ninja. This type of climbing requires a precise mixture of physical and spiritual energy and the bottoms of the feet are the most difficult place to balance chakra. Are you getting the picture? If you can master this, you can master any jutsu."

Kakashi interrupted me. "Well, theoretically," I shot him a glare. "The second point is to learn to maintain your chakra. When a ninja is in battle it's even harder to maintain and control his chakra levels, a deadly mistake. To avoid this maintaining chakra must become second nature, effortless." I paused for a second. "Well, I could talk about this all day, but that won't advance your skills, will it? You need to apply the power of chakra through training."

Kakashi pulled out two kunai and I pulled out one. We threw them to the kids. Naruto and Sakura caught Kakashi's and Sasuke caught mine. I spoke. "Use the kunai to mark the tree at the highest mark that you can climb, without using your hands. Then try to get past that mark the next time. At first you'll need to run at the tree so your momentum will take you as high as possible. Until you get used to it anyway."

Kakashi continued where I left off. We were trying our hardest to teach as a pair. "Ready?"

Naruto picked up his kunai. "I'm ready. This is gonna be no sweat all the way, believe it. Remember what you said Sensei. I'm the one that's grown the most."

It was then that we knew we should never have said that to him. Kakashi sighed. "You're definitely the one that talks the most. Now get focused and do it."

Naruto looked offended, but shook it off. The kids put their hands together and started to balance their chakra. They all took off at a run. Naruto made it two steps up the tree before falling. Sasuke made it about a quarter of the way before his chakra balance went off and smashed the tree some with his foot, marking it with the knife before coming back down. Sakura on the other hand sat on a branch about halfway up her tree, smiling down on the boys. I was extremely proud of her. "Well," I looked particularly at Sasuke, not afraid to be the toughest on him. "Looks like the female member of the squad has the most chakra control."

Sakura stuck her tongue out at the boys and Kakashi praised her. "Well done Sakura."

Naruto was at least being a good sport about it. "Yea! Good job Sakura. I always knew you were awesome, believe it."

Sasuke looked up at me and mumbled, not realizing that we could all hear him. "Whatever."

Sakura was instantly distraught, clearly she was hoping she would impress him. Kakashi tried to help her out a little. "Not only can Sakura control chakra, she can hold and maintain it as well." He looked toward Naruto. "We spoke about someone becoming Hokage one day, didn't we?" He was trying to get a rise out of the boys to make them try harder. "Seems Sakura's got the best chance of that. Wouldn't you say?" Kakashi stepped over the line with his next crack, not only getting a rise from Sasuke, but from me. "And as for the great Uchiha clan, maybe they're not so great after all."

Sasuke and I glared at Kakashi, and so did Sakura. "Shut up Sensei, you talk to much."

Kakashi looked over at me. "Alright, I think they're motivated. I know Naruto and Sasuke have much more chakra within. If this training works their mastery of chakra will become a valuable asset."'

I was still glaring. "And you little comment about the Uchiha clan? What was that?"

"I was just trying to get your brother going, I know how he feels about your clan."

"Well, don't push it with that again Kakashi, or I'll knock your chakra off balance and let you fall from this tree."

He chuckled at me. "You're cute when you're angry." If steam could be coming from my ear it would be. And with that, they all began to attempt the tree again, each time getting just a little farther.

After an hour or so the kids were all exhausted. The kids were definitely learning from the teamwork. Naruto went and huddled next to Sakura. Kakashi smiled at me. "He's catching on. From now one he'll only get stronger and stronger. How strong tho?"

I leaned my head on his shoulder. "Naruto possesses more chakra than Sasuke. I can feel it."

"In fact, the amount of chakra he possesses is greater than my own, and yours."
