I was just thinking about the sharingan and Uchihan culture. so, most cultures evolve because people forget what came before, but with insta-perfect recall face orbs, it would make sense why uchiha would be more traditional. (sorry if this is incomprehensible i'm not good with words. (just thought it was neat, and you might enjoy))

Don't worry Anon it makes perfect sense!

The Uchiha have, potentially, a sort of extra-detailed historical record, if they do in fact pass down memories to future generations via the Sharingan. Which I don't think canon establishes, but it seems to be pretty popular fanon.

There would probably still be some drift, because not everything would be memorized, and not everyone would have every memory, so sometimes someone is going to just not know who or what to ask to find the relevant information, or even that they need to ask. And some memories would accidentally not get passed down, because they weren't relevant so the person carrying them didn't think to pass them down prior to dying.

On the other hand, sometimes they'll have like, a variant of a traditional food that was invented 250 years ago, and all the Uchiha still call it the newfangled version. There are two more recently invented version that still just get called by the name of the inventor as if said inventor's lifetime has at all overlapped with any currently living Uchiha.

Probably once Konoha happens this is deeply weird and somewhat worrying to the other clans. Like, the Inuzuka know that one of their ancestors killed a famous Uchiha and they're proud of it, but the Uchiha still have the famous Uchiha's memories of the rivalry and even the fight that killed the guy, and they will correct you on which names the Inuzuka ancestor called him as she killed him. Some of them have a personal grudge over it like it happened last month. Some of them treat it like a novel that they have Strong Opinions on and have memorized so they can produce accurate quotes at any time. Both options are deeply unsettling if you're an Inuzuka.

The Uchiha definitely had a "should we deliberately not pass down certain memories to our children now that this village is a thing, in order to make living in the village easier for them, even though that's destroying a significant chunk of our own heritage, and if so which memories should we let die?" debate post-Konoha, and by "debate" I mean "bitter ongoing argument through the entire clan for years."

"We don't pass these down until the kids are old enough to understand that things have changed and handle the dissonance" was probably a compromise, but uhhh then the massacre happened and Sasuke, Itachi, and Obito-as-of-supposed-death were all too young so that's one way to end the debate.

...Seriously, Do you WANT to be Mistaken for a Bot?

Okay, chances are good they were not actually a bot,but someone replied to one of my posts, and they did not have an icon, and their tumblr blog was empty. (And they had not followed me, so they didn't get insta-blocked which is what I usually do when the tumblr has no posts and there is no icon.) Yet, I feel compelled to do a "PSA: please prove you are a person and not a bot before following/interacting on Tumblr."

Make a user icon for your blog. The random shapes default icon is a key indicator that the blog might be a bot or some other bad actor.

POST SOMETHING AS SOON AS YOU MAKE THE BLOG. (I am told that newly made blogs sometimes insta-follow? If that's a case that just makes it more important to post something.) Your first post can be just about anything, as long as it's something you've written out. (My first posts on new social media platforms are usually some variant of "hi I have no idea of what I'm doing here.")

This is not absolutely necessary, but just something you can do: use the template/themes thingie. This way it looks more like a blog/something you've put some work/thought into.

👁 Sun 01 Nov ‘20 🍼

After yesterday’s amazing show (the timey wimey of which was even more wibbly wobbly than we thought- it was only an hour late in SOME markets, there was just a big confusing daylight savings time fail in the announcements), today Liam’s Halloween merch is making quite a splash! There's a mask with his name in a spooky gothic font with classic flash tattoo style doodles, including swallows, a microphone, an eye, several skulls, a weird tongue looking thing, and some lyrics! His T-shirt design is also Halloween themed (or, like - Dia de los Muertos themed, which is different) and has a large skull covered in purple and yellow roses (and patterns), his name, another eye, cobwebs, lightning bolts, and some more swallows. There are indeed designs on the merch that match up with many of Zayn's tattoos but honestly that line art eye looks as much like MY eye as it does Zayn's. I feel like a comparison to Zayn's eye TATTOO would have been more convincing, but that wasn't the conjecture! Meanwhile Zayn and all six of his eyes (tattooed, real, and glasses) were seen again! Twice in ONE DAY, truly a holiday! Late in the day yesterday we got one last treat (or trick, depending on your perspective) from Gigi: a family zelfie of her, Zayn and zaby X in their family-of-geeks costume...oh wait no that's their actual identities! Their costumes were Gigi as not just a videogame character but a specific variant suit (Zero Suit Samus? I guess? *shrugs as if I know what I'm talking about*), and Zayn in his full Slytherin uniform including a jumper and thick glasses he'd left out of his earlier post, smiling down at the zaby in his arms (tiny hulk!! uwu) with a soft happy face. You'd think this would generate discourse, and it has, but mostly people are busy arguing about whether Z is a Slytherin! Messing with peoples' sorting headcanons is no joke, it's an even more surefire way to get the fandom fired up than babies and girlfriends.

A receipt has circulated wildly from an Kuwaiti man who describes an encounter with Louis from Vegas in like 2016 or '17 it seems like. He says Louis walked up to him randomly, touched him and complimented his beard (lol), and then walked away again. A few days later they ran into each other again and Louis (and Oli!) passed by him and - yup! Louis touched his shoulder, complimented him again, and asked if the man remembered him. The guy was like, ‘uh, yeah dude, it's been like a day,’ and then Louis disappeared into the party once more like the vision he is. Our hero was then like, ‘who WAS that man’, googled him, and figured out that yes, he'd been hit on TWICE by an international superstar. In my head, I imagine Louis flitting around being very charming, capturing people’s attention, then leaving just as quickly as he came, leaving Oli standing there smiling awkwardly. Anyway in slightly more professional Louis news: Lyric Drop 2 has been pulled from Louis’ merch store (that was REALLY limited edition, huh?). This means the next single for release is We Made It, and we’re keeping our fingers crossed for rainbows! An A&R Sony manager (Micheala Lundin, who previously worked on Louis’ team at Syco) celebrated Two Of Us’ milestone - it reached 100 million streams on Spotify! Her instagram story tags the people involved with the making of the song and says, “This little baby reached 100 million! 🌟...Will always be a special one! Pop perfection by my favorite legends”. Same, though it always makes me cry! And, in other Louis things that make me cry, Reverse Rett (a charity that works to improve the lives of those touched by Rett syndrome) - which Louis donated thousands of pounds through an art fundraiser in 2016 - has revealed that he has quietly been supporting them by donating auction prizes ever since. I have a lot of feelings about this, and I’m always floored by his consistent and continued kindness, though I definitely shouldn’t be at this point.

Drip, drip drip it goes - the news, I mean, but I can see why you might think it would be milk! GQ posted a Golden picture of Harry on instagram (from the video, but also a good description of the picture itself), and the comments are really something else! “Didn’t know my dude was a C cup,” said one guy. “Is my dude lactating,” asked another one. And the band Cannon announced that they would start their “Covers by Cannon” series with a cover of Golden, and Harry, apparently lurking around insta, liked the post: I hope this means he's seeing the GQ comments too cause that's the real entertainment of the day! And finally, Instagram Issues Curse strikes again: “did Niall just post something on ig and deleted it?” and to which Niall - always creeping around in his mentions - replied, “Yeh I think so...I can’t see it on my story”. Well, neither can I, so I can’t tell you what it was (:/), but I’m gonna be keeping a closer eye on his insta in the week leading up to the show!

Hi there! Glad you like the pendemonium (I will see myself out)!

Firstly I'd like to formally welcome you to the rabbit hole. I too have spent hours drooling at pens on the Goulet website -- those guys really know how to take nice product pictures, and that's their gain, my (our) wallet's loss!

But secondly, I have a very important question -- is this your very first fountain pen? I'm assuming it is, and while I cannot question your aesthetics (they are on point), I would like to make a few points/suggestions, especially since you asked for my opinion on your choice!

My gut reaction before I even clicked the link?

Pump the brakes!

Why? See under the cut, as it is time to get a little rambly!

First of all -- and I know this may come as a bit of surprise -- if this is your very first fountain pen, maybe consider adjusting your budget. I balked at my first $50-something pen -- also a Conklin Duragraph -- and that was after I had amassed a few other pens.

Why is this important? Well, as this is your first fountain pen and you've never used one before, you don't know what you like. Therefore, it is very possible that you'll shell out for a $50 pen and hate it, and the whole experience will feel like a waste.

(You could also buy it and love it! I don't mean to be a downer!)

As soon as I saw the brand, I knew we'd be looking at pens in the $50-and-well-above range, which leads me to the concerns I have about this particular brand (Conklin-- click here if you'd like to know a little more about the brand history).

I own a few Conklin pens (three Duragraphs, two All-Americans, and one Herringbone), and let me tell you something: not a single one wrote satisfactorily out of the box.

To me, that's not so much a problem as it is an inconvenience (and frankly, incredibly annoying given their price), because now I know how to tune my own nibs (like I did with the Duragraph Earth above), tinker with the feeds, swap nib units, realign tines, and deal with customer service (which for all pen stores I've ever dealt with, has been exceptional).

That's not to say that every single Conklin pen is like that! Admittedly, I've gotten a little more unlucky than most with my badly-cut nibs and defective feeds . Some people love their Conklins and never had a problem with any model -- you could be one of them.

The thing is, even if I never had any problems with my previous Conklins... I still think they're expensive for what they are! The demonstrator Duragraph that caught your eye -- that has an MSRP of $80.The reegular Duragraph models retail for $56 -- but they don't feel like they cost $56. The resin feels cheap, and the section threads on two of my three Duragraphs were a bit wonky --I ended up exchanging one because the section just didn't screw in correctly. The nibs came with tines that were way too tight (basically stopping ink flow), and don't get me started on their Omniflex nib...

Don't get me wrong, the Duragraph is beautiful and even I'm tempted to get them. But I know exactly what I'm paying for -- and at this point, I expect to have something to fix in the pen when I get it. But for your first fountain pen? Maybe try some of the pens I suggest on this post here.

If your heart is set on a demonstrator pen, may I suggest some cheaper suggestions:

1. The Pilot Kakuno

Sure, it doesn't quite have the same look as the Duragraph, but it's like, a third of the price (at Goulet, it goes for about $13.50!)! And granted, it doesn't come with a converter, but Pilot cartridges are not expensive, and even if you do decide to add a Pilot converter, it doesn't even come close to the price of the Demo Duragraph. Plus, the nibs on these little things are phenomenal!

2. Kaweco Perkeo

I call this one Kaweco's Kakuno because... well, look at it! It's pretty much the same package, retailing for about $15-18. It doesn't come with a converter, but it does take standard international cartridges -- the most widely available and varied type of cartridge!

3. Lamy Vista

A different, more modern look, easily swappable nibs, a wide variety of (proprietary) Lamy cartridges (you can buy a converter separately). It goes for $29.60 at Goulet, but you can find it much cheaper elsewhere (my father got his for about $20 at Amazon, I believe).

4. Sailor 1911 Compass

OK, so at a sale price of $30, we're getting a bit too close to that under $50 recommendation. However, I still think this one deserves some thought -- Sailor quality control is miles better than Yafa (the distributor for Conklin, Monteverde, and a couple of others). Sailor nibs (even the steel ones) are on a league of their own, and this pen comes with the proprietary Sailor converter so you can use bottled ink!

5. TWSBI ECO

At an MSRP of $33, this one is the most expensive 'starter pen' I suggest. It is an iconic demonstrator, and a very affordable piston filler pen -- so it has a great ink capacity, and to top it off, their nibs are quite smooth; I've never had a hard-starting one. The only reason to stay away from the ECO (and any other piston fillers) would be if you don't want to use bottled ink and want to stick to cartridges.

I hope that helps -- sorry if it was a bit of a downer, but don't let it get in the way of your excitement! Do let me know which pen you end up getting, even if you do decide to go for the Conklin.

So today I will be talking about two possible rereleases from MGA/the Bratz brand. First I would just like to thank dollboy.29 on insta for these photos and for this idea for this post.

As most people who have seen some of my posts in the past, I have used dollboy.29's content before but I always will try and shout them out.

Anyways I will be sharing my opinion so let's get into it!

So dollboy.29 shares another photo where someone asked MGA customer care if the Bratz comeback was temporary or not and they said "so far the response has been outstanding and there is plans for a series two in fall 2022"

So this is really good news but just like dollboy.29 said remember that this can change at any time. 2022 of fall is pretty far from now and things can change and with these new variants things can get pushed back.

The good news is that if they rereleased these dolls, they should still have similar face screenings hopefully and Dylan might make an appearance (let's hope!). Personally I am only interested in Cloe, hopefully they don't butcher the poor girl like they have been recently lol! But honestly though I am looking forward to this but not as much as the next one so let's get into that!

Now this is what I am excited for! So dollboy.29 mentioned last year about how MGA made a poll asking which line we wanted and we said Rock Angelz and this year they did another and I guess Girlz Nite Out won over PNP (pretty n punk) which I know a lot of folks really love PNP and I do too but I actually prefer this one? I do hope they rerelease PNP at some point though but I do think GNO is a good choice.

The dolls are just so beautiful and there are plenty of dolls in this line including Dana which makes me super stoked because we are getting a rerelease of Sweetheart Meygan so it just feels natural to rerelease a Dana doll as well.

But also let's remember that even though we are allowed to be excited, there is still a chance that these dolls could totally flop. When Rock Angelz got a rerelease we were so hyped but than we saw the product and it was a massive flop for a lot of us.

As awful as it is MGA might change some things to these dolls but I am hoping that after seeing the rerelease of Sweetheart Meygan that they will try and stay super close to the original GNO dolls.

dollboy.29 has mentioned other possible dolls coming back/being released so please go give him a follow on insta. I will probably make another post about the other dolls but I wanted to keep this post nice and short but with all of that said what are your thoughts on all of this? Many of you might be a “secret” age regressor!

Well first of all; what is a “secret regressor”?

A secret regressor is an age regressor who may live in a household with others who don’t necessarily know that they’re a regressor! This could be a regressor who lives with family or friends who might not be as accepting as most are! Basically they’re a regressor who hides their regression because they might live in an unaccepting household or they just want to regress in private!

•Try and establish a set time for you to regress!! Try making sure it’s a good time slot when people won’t try to barge into your room or a time with little to no distractions! A good time to do this would be at nighttime! At night people will most likely be asleep so you’ll be able to have some little time to yourself!

•If you want to buy little gear “secretly” try using Amazon or buy from an insta or Etsy shop with discreet packaging! If your parents (or roommates) check and open your packages, ask the shop if they can sew the item into a small plushie (this is perfect when it comes to hiding pacis)!

•If your parents or roommates open your packages, try buying something else to go with your purchase (this works well with Amazon packages since they tend to combine items in the same box/mailer). Or as I stated before, try having the shop see the paci inside a stuffie!

•If you need currency to buy gear then I recommend getting a visa gift card from Walmart or an Amazon gift card! Visa cards work great with PayPal which means you will be able to purchase from insta (or Etsy) shops that take PayPal!!

•If your parents tend to search your room or if you live in a dorm or residence where you get your room checked try putting your little gear in a designated place! You can either put them all in a plain box (to avoid any attention) and hide it under your bed, or scatter them around your room in different places (ex: coat pockets, inside socks, inside pillowcases, in a backpack, inside a stuffie, etc.) Try thinking of places people wouldn’t tend to search or look in!

•If you have gear you need to wash like clothes or plates/bottles, try washing them in your bathroom if you have one!! You could also try washing clothing in the washing machine if you have a “private” washing machine time! Or if you share laundry times with others say that your onesies are for cosplay! (I used this excuse and it worked fine!)

•If you’re truly unable to buy gear here are some ~subtle~ alternatives! For pacis you could use a ring pop instead! For onesies you could use rompers or bodysuits! For sippies or bottles you could try finding a water bottle with a silicone spout + straw! For teethers you could try buying teether bracelets from a shop or chewlery (teether jewelry)!! [Please try to avoid using baby pacis with baby teats or sucking your thumb! These aren’t the best alternatives and can be harmful to your mouth!!] Some other subtle things could be small accessories like fuzzy socks, sparkly bows/hair accessories, adult colouring books, etc!
