she’s a quidditch mom
platonic!marauders x reader, james lives au, set 1984.
very small drabble, i saw that trending lulu lemon jacket and thought of soccer moms then thought of this concept. i did not read thru this enough for spelling mistakes or grammar errors so if there are any… no there aren’t :$
works
Children were so enamoured by the prospects of it all, having watched multiple games of the real deal. It was mesmerizing, their big doe eyes flitting back and forth to track the players on their brooms, bums barely keeping themselves on the edge of their seats when the chasers had one hand on their broom and a quaffles tucked under the other, while an opposing beater was right on their trails, bat held out and ready to swing; the whole ordeal was captivating.
So much so that, to your discontentment, your child was caught in the webs of it. At a mere 4 years, your little girl had accumulated a collection of quidditch paraphernalia and memorabilia, all courtesy of your weak inhibitions and your family’s indulgence to spoil your daughter rotten. You shook your head at them all, but not without gifting your daughter another beater’s bat, this time a new color, at the same time.
You don’t exactly know how she came to her obsession with quidditch, but you figured that the influence of your own quidditch enthusiasm was the root of it.
You, yourself, had the same penchant for collecting quidditch merchandise. It was so often that it was a problem, you concerned even yourself.
It started with posters, like it always does, ones you buy from a shop, then it progresses to the foldout posters from magazines, to prints. Then it was the shirts, quidditch gear, and you were in the quicksand before you could even notice it.
You even owned an limited edition Bally Castle Bats x Gladrags underwear set with patterns of red bats and signatures of the whole roster. (You particularly treasured Humphrey Higgins’, the Bats’ star chaser, who was also heralded Rookie Of The Year by Quidditch Now Magazine.)
Your daughter didn’t share this sentiment with you, preferring Chudley Cannons for some reason, but you suspect it was because your father had been whispering into her ear about it. He was an avid Cannons supporter, your dad was. It irked you, having to bite your tongue with each slight he snarks out, but the streak of their losses satiate you enough.
So in hindsight, it wasn’t a surprise when your daughter shrieked happily when you told her there was a community led program hosting an open quidditch game for children aged 4-6 years. She immediately ran to her room, tiny feet comically padding along the hardwood floor, and lugged out her bright orange beater’s bat.
It was from a Chudley Cannons junior quidditch kit that came from your (traitorous) mother, you remember scowling as she hid it behind her back to surprise your daughter on her 2 and a half birthday.
Was that even a thing? You had outrageously exclaimed aloud, and your mother sniffed, nose turning up, “yes, yes it is!”
You didn’t have it in you to argue when you saw your daughter cuddling up to the bat in her bed.
But now, you were severely regretting it, standing in complete shock to see her speeding around the miniature pitch, flying circles around all the other kids, her orange bat held tightly in her hand. She had her lower lip jutted out, and her eyebrows pinched, and you knew from this that she was much too engrossed into the game.
She was chasing the opposing team’s seeker, a small boy with unruly black hair that stuck out in every direction. He was fast, just as fast as her, but she was proving to be a menace on the pitch, leaving her fellow beater in the dust.
You were bewildered to see her manipulate the games’ modifications that were set in place to protect them. The bludgers were much softer and lighter, easier to push and it was absorbing energy from impacts so the hits would hurt less. They were charmed to move slower, only side to side, a bit sluggishly, and less aggressively that the children could dodge it.
Unfortunately, this meant that they were easily controllable and your daughter was fully aware of it, as she quickly maneuvered it with her bat to move in tandem with her, dribbling it like a football, as she swiped at it side to side, fast enough that it wouldn’t go out of reach from her.
It would have been impressive, if it were not for the sole fact that she was a beater and that she should not have been chasing another player.
You wanted to cover your face in embarrassment but when a young man with similar untamed black hair stood, yelling out the words, “Foul! That beater is a menace!”, your face soured and you jumped to your feet, coming to her defense.
She might have been a menace, but she was your menace. And what she was doing was hardly a foul, it just wasn’t very conventional! In fact, it was original— you said in your head, trying to convince yourself.
“Keep going, darling, Mummy’s so proud! He’s gonna turn at the end of the pitch,” You cupped your hands around your mouth to amplify your voice, “swing when he moves to the corner!”
He looked at you with indignation, a scandalised gasp slipping from his mouth.
The banter went on between you two, advising your flying children and coaching them from the sidelines. Sometimes you’d catch a troubled look on their faces, looking at the parent section then back at the game. But the more you heard the man’s annoying voice, the louder you got.
He had a couple of friends by his side, one was very good looking, with long sleek hair and a glass like complexion, and the other had shades on, his sandy hair was mussed up and there were scars littering on his exposed forearms. There was a few small ones on his face as well.
They had seemed amused by this interaction. The good looking one had a crooked smile, you found, as he roared with laughter. The scarred one had an attractive smirk playing on his lips.
“You tell your daughter to follow the rules!”
“Piss off! She is following the rules, not her fault your boy can’t see the snitch!” You pointed at the boy. “Look at him, he’s squinting around.”
It was true. The snitch flew lazily in front of the seeker, but although it was in reach of him, his hand was stretched out and kept missing whenever it moved a bit. It was still right in his face though.
“His glasses aren’t meant for quidditch!” The man protested.
“He has goggles, mate.” His friend wearing shades commented, arms now crossed.
The father groaned unhappily, “You know how fussy he got when I tried putting them on him!”
The whines had almost distracted you, nearly causing you to miss it.
The two children reached the end of the pitch, and just as you had said, the seeker made to turn the corner, and your daughter stopped dribbling the ball, only to grin widely and swing hard.
You cheered loudly, “Go (D/N)*!” You whistled, clapping like mad.
When the soft bludger had floated ceremoniously towards the boy, and bumped into him, the light force wobbled him for a few seconds before he promptly lost balance and fell, laying splayed out on the terf. The snitch fluttered a few seconds on top of him, then flew over to the middle of the pitch.
The father of the seeker held his head in his hands, “We need to get you used to the goggles, Haz.”
Your daughter flew a few inches down and patted the seeker— ‘Haz’s’ head, before zooming right off to see to another bludger, one that she planned on aiming straight for a chaser that finally grabbed a hold of a quaffles.
You wanted to tell her that that chaser was on her team but she was grinning so wide, you didn’t have the heart to.
“Great sportsmanship— keep going, baby!” You urged her on, and smiled softly when she looked up at you to giggle.
When you sat back down, you found that the three men were heading your way. Your fingers nimbly found the strings of grass beneath you and began to rip them out. You hoped they were just going to pass by, but the father of that Haz boy had his eyes trained on you.
With a sigh, you had steeled your courage and faced their approach with a big (fake) smile.
“Hullo boys.” You blocked out the sun, which seemed to burn a little hotter in that moment. “Good day, wouldn’t you agree?”

4 Lords headcanons - Karl Heisenberg
Tumblr media
Karl is my new favorite resident evil character. He’s just so unlike anything we’ve seen before in any of the other games. Ricardo irving MAYBE but he didn't quite hit the nail on the head with the dark humor and likeability. I saw a tweet from Al yang ( resident evil resistance’s director) who said that Karl and daniel fabron would be besties because they have the same style and interests and i am 10000% behind that. You all know how much I love daniel.
Anyway, here are some of my headcanons for Karl heisenberg. Long post under the cut.
So im getting this one out of the way first: i've been canoning karl as jewish since before the whole N*zi discourse started. No reason for this in particular besides the fact he’s german and he reminds me of my best friend who is also Jewish. It made my friend happy so I just decided to roll with it.
I don't think Karl is practicing, or that he follows a particular belief system. I doubt miranda would allow such things and he really strikes me more as an atheist, particularly after all he’s been through. It's mostly a heritage thing, something he might actually be interested in learning more about if given the chance.
Speaking of discourse, that necklace of his is just a trinket. It's not his or even a family heirloom, hence why it's blank. I canon that Karl likes to collect stuff from the junkyards or post war scrap yards around the village. When he was younger he often snuck out of the village to go exploring and brought back things he found to keep or repair, like Moreau’s television or the Half-track motorbike Ethan uses.
I imagine he found a large box of factory reject dog tags and just decided to take some. He strikes me as a “well I'll find a use for it” kind of man. When he got distracted by more important projects, he decided to just wear one. It went with his aesthetic after all.
Also that compass on his necklace is now completely non functional. Karl’s powers have ruined its magnets. He keeps it for aesthetic and sentimentality, yes but he also likes to use it to check his power levels, the faster it spins the stronger he’s getting.
Despite mostly collecting Junk that he can use or repair, Karl also likes to find intact things. He can be a bit like a magpie, taking things he just finds cool or aesthetically pleasing. He had a room much like Ariel from the little mermaid, filled with stuff from the outside world. Unfortunately, much like Ariel, his treasure trove was destroyed by Miranda when she discovered it. Thankfully though, she never tied it back to him. He’s sad that it’s all gone but is too afraid to start collecting again, lest it get destroyed once more.
His favorite things to collect are tokens from Germany. Things from the DDR, Metal figurines, war medals, pins and old money are his favorites but he also has a few old toys ( like train sets) and even has a piece of the Berlin wall in his collection.
He’s not fussed on war memorabilia. He has no use for it, prefering to take scrap leftovers so he can make something new from it.
He can't speak german unfortunately. Maybe a few words here and there but nothing substantial. He was able to speak it as a child, but since Miranda raised him to speak English, he lost more of his mother tongue the older he got. He can speak some basic romanian, mostly for communicating with people just outside the village or trading for scrap but he’s far from fluent.
He can , however, speak decent sign language.
Miranda was a terrible english teacher. I'm very surprised Karl doesnt have more of a stutter. As a child, when he spoke german, she would hit him and if he spoke english incorrectly, she would berate him in front of others.
Speaking of stutters, Karl has mostly grown out of his, but when he is tired, frustrated or nervous for whatever reason, it comes back .
He’s trying to teach himself german again as an adult but he has little time for it. His german books are gathering dust in some forgotten corner of the factory while he works on his plans for revenge.
In his very rare moments of free time , he can usually be found either reading, listening to LPs or tinkering. His favorite books are , unsurprisingly, Science fiction but he also likes crime novels as well as technical manuals.
Given that Karl enjoys collecting things, I believe he likes to create collectibles too. I can see him making a series of little metal sculptures to have around his factory. They're only small, he doesn't like to waste precious scrap on frivolous things.
Despite his family crest being based on a knight, Karl isn't fond of chess. He can play, but he just doesn't have the patience for it. Not to mention all the other lords take it far too seriously and are both sore losers and sore winners. Looking at you Alcina.
Additionally, Karl is a little uneasy around horses. When he was a child, one kicked at him. He only got a small scar from it but since then he hasn't been too fond of them. He is able to ride one but would rather walk if there's a choice.
We all know that in another world or another lifetime, Karl would have made an amazing performer. Maybe he would have had a youtube channel for showing off his creations, like man at arms .
He comes across as someone with a bombastic personality, someone who likes being the center of attention. Part of that is the lack of attention given to him as a child but more so his lack of self esteem. His confidence is all surface level; he fears rejection and is perhaps even more self conscious about what Miranda has done to him than Moreau, although he hides it better.
Behind closed doors he’s a very quiet introverted man. He prefers his own company and has gotten to the point where he even finds meetings with the lords draining. He's not shy like donna nor does he purposely lock himself away but if another lord came to his factory he would absolutely pretend not to be in.
Karl suffers from severe nightmares as a result of what Miranda has put him through. He often doesn't sleep for days at a time, only to collapse when the exhaustion becomes too much.
I know we all canon karl as a lycan and an outdoorsy type. I write him that way a lot because it's what people seem to like, but it's not actually how I envision him. To me, he’s sort of a stay inside type. He rarely leaves the factory and has little interest in hunting or survivalism or even in the lycans .
That’s not to say he’s bad at these things. He’s skilled at tracking, hunting and surviving off the land, but he would prefer to remain at his factory with electricity and indoor plumbing.
Speaking of hunting, Karl prefers not to use guns. Ammo is at a premium in the village, not to mention very loud. He is far more accurate and silent when just using magnet controlled knives or scrap to kill his targets. For bigger targets, or when he wants to make a statement, he’ll use his hammer but it is mostly for show.
He’s kind of a nerd to me. His background is in mechanical engineering, but by the time of re8 he’s branched out to electrical engineering and biomechanical engineering too. He’s a rough and tumble hands on kinda guy but he’s also surprisingly delicate when he needs to be, with an eye for detail and a genius mind.
I canon he has some medical training. I know he’s based on Dr Frankenstein but I very much doubt Karl has the patience or training of a medical doctor. I'm thinking more like EMT, First-aider or maybe a combat medic? I don't think he’s ever been to war or even ever enlisted, but it's possible someone from the village is a veteran and was able to pass on their knowledge to him.
Aside from the medical training, he is entirely self taught.
He really has little to do with the Lycan pack. They're too dumb for his purposes, too hard to organize and worse of all, loyal to Miranda. He can direct them, probably better than any of the other lords , but he tends to stay away from them unless he needs something to test his soldat against.
He rarely leaves the factory except for the above headcanon, lord meetings and getting parts for his experiments ( either scrap or dead bodies). He despises the cold of the village in winter and the insane amounts of pollen in the summer
I don't think Karl was ever fully brainwashed by Miranda. He is an incredibly stubborn individual and is skilled at pretending, charming and manipulating. I believe he had miranda fooled or at least they reached a point where he had certain freedoms or she didn't care to rein him in because she saw him as little threat. Alcina has never been fooled by his act.
His favorite food is anything from a german deli. He would love to go to the KaDeWe some day and try all of the deli’s there.
Karl has the biggest sweet tooth out of all the lords, even over donna who practically lives on cakes. He metabolises energy very quickly, particularly when he’s generating electricity himself for his experiments. Virtually all his favorite sweets are from Germany: black forest cake, gummy bears, Berliners , marzipan and stollen to name just a few
what else? Man loves his carbs, definitely the type of person to fill up on bread before a meal and take a few more rolls home with him for good measure.
He doesn't have a least favorite food to be honest. He’ll eat pretty much anything you put in front of him and always tells you how much he enjoyed his meal. I canon miranda used to starve her experiments as punishment, so he’s always grateful for food. I think he might turn his nose up at Liver however. It's not the taste or even the texture, but with its incredibly high iron content he swears he can feel it moving around in his stomach when he uses his magnet powers. Whether that's true or just psychosomatic is unknown.
Karl doesn't drink often but when he does, he drinks a lot in one go. He has a terrible habit of mixing beer and spirits and spending the rest of the week regretting his poor decisions. He likes German beer, obviously, as well as polish and russian vodka and the occasional drink of expensive whiskey. He really , really doesn't like jagermeister. He says it tastes like cough syrup left in the sun.
He’s sort of a sloppy drunk. Lots of singing and dancing on the villagers tables and getting carried away. One of the (many) reasons Alcina doesn't get on with him is that he lacks decorum when drinking and prefers to party or drink with others ( like the villagers) rather than have a “sophisticated” drink after dinner.
Alcina invited him to a wine tasting once, forgetting to mention you aren't actually meant to swallow the wine. Karl didn't get this memo and now feels quite nauseous when presented with red wine. Alcina had to throw out her favorite rug after he left.
Sexuality headcanon? Hmmm well much like the others, i don't hold a particular one as true. I tend to treat most of my characters as fluid so I can write them for anyone. If absolutely pressed i would say he's got some strong bi/pan vibes. He flirts shamelessly with anyone and everyone but the moment it actually goes anywhere or someone reciprocates he starts to malfunction and forgets how to talk or act like a human.
Karl has no love for any of the other lords. Looking at them and how brainwashed they still are makes him uncomfortable. That being said, he still feels a great deal of pity for them. I canon Donna was the last infected, I imagine Karl may have tried to prevent this without giving himself away to miranda. He carries a lot of guilt around for not being able to prevent another child becoming like him. Moreau disgusts him, both physically and morally but he still cant help but pity the creature he’s become. I hc Moreau used to be a doctor, an intelligent and respected man who actually gave a shit about the village. These days Karl finds it hard to look past his grotesque form and even more disgusting devotion to miranda.
As for alcina? In some way’s hes a little jealous of her. He hates that she got to live a normal life and still threw it away to come to the village. She’s still one of Miranda's playthings but she takes an absurd kind of pride in being their abuser's favorite that he just doesn't understand. He does pity her at the end of the day but that pity is buried under a lot of animosity and dislike.
When he was a bit younger, maybe a teenager, he had a habit of pulling his hat down over his face when embarrassed.
He’s a very fidgety person, although not as bad as daniela. He has plenty of fidget toys to play with while he works, sometimes they help him think or concentrate. Others are just to keep his hands occupied so he doesn't scratch at his scars.
Karl is very good with his hands, he always has something to keep them occupied. He likes to roll his own cigarettes and cigars. His favorite cigars are cuban, imported by the duke but he saves those for special occasions. He chain smokes regular cigarettes when he’s stressed but usually only smokes a few a day.
He’s ambidextrous, he writes with his right and does most other things with his left.
Like most of the lords, he's very good at art! He leans more towards sketching and sculptures than crafts like donna or painting like alcina. He’s also really good at sewing! Almost as good as donna! Mind you, he’s mostly sewing himself from the various cuts and scrapes he gets or stitching up dead bodies.
Karl was crystalised like Zoe Baker at some point in his life. Possibly as a punishment from Miranda, possibly when he first merged with the cadou. This resulted in his white/silver hair despite only being around 30 years old. Similarly, he was born with green eyes that have faded to blue/gold as a result of his crystallization.
His facial scars are from fighting with alcina but he has many more that we cant see, particularly across his back.
He can generate static shocks of his own will. He mostly uses this to zap people he doesn't like coughalcinacough. He gets power from thunderstorms but has difficulty with cold and damp conditions as they don't conduct very well.
Scent headcanon? I know people like these for some reason. Karl generally smells like oil and cigar smoke but that's sort of a given. When he’s been using his powers a lot he smells like ozone and damp and when he’s freshly washed he smells vaguely minty.
Animals really don't seem to like Karl. Maybe it’s his mischievous aura or mayne his magnet/ electric powers make their fur feel weird. Birds don't like him because he messes with their navigation and cows don't like him because as a child he liked to run through the fields and spook them. They have very long memories.
wow i absolutely have more but i had to take a step back and think "maybe you should keep some things a mystery". if i over elaborate on him there wont be any room for headcanons will there?

If life gives you melons...
Tumblr media
Ship: Loki x F!alt! reader
Rating: Explicit / word count 5,5k
Summary: You've heard about meet-cute, how about meet-ugly? Reader has tattoos and a tongue split. There's this joke that "bisexual alt girls go looking for a girlfriend and end up with sad, tall and skinny white bois" and boy did that hit home. Inspired by this cringy video of Hiddles [youtube link].
During a panel at a comic con, Loki notices reader and they go on a date, reader gets railed: top!Loki, choking, rough sex, unprotected sex, all the good stuff. Open ending, with a bonus of reader and Loki pranking Clint.
x. I usually fancy they/them pronouns for Loki but seeing as it's a smut-shot, I decided to go along with he/him for the sake of simplicity. Loki's at least 6'4 tall and you can fight me on that. Also, I write like a Tony stan - I feel the need to apologize to Loki stans for that. I love you guys! 🥺👉🏻👈🏻
Tumblr media
The long line of people appeared to be neverending. Loki was an enhanced, as the government recently had adopted a politically correct term for Earth's non-human inhabitants, but even his enhanced endurance had begun waning due to sheer amount of people wanting a piece of memorabilia signed by The God of Mischief. Loki had gained a considerable amount of fans after doing his part in killing the mad titan Thanos and by extension, saving the world. It turned out, humankind was a sucker for a good redemption arc.
Loki's hands ached where they wrapped around the pen that he'd been using for nearly 4 hours to neatly place his name, written in neat runescript, on various pieces of merchandise that his fans (and wasn't that a strange thing!) presented to him. He used to think that he would have actually succeeded conquering the earth if he had a grasp on how to use social media and his charm; now, he just wanted the torture to end. An involuntary sigh left his mouth when he saw another print of himself in full battle gear being placed in front of him by a reasonably attractive young woman.
"Um, thank you," She stammered, giggling softly, and Loki spared her a painstaking smile, scribbling his name once again. The woman briefly caught his eyes. "Um, you're the reason- the inspiration for me. I became a stripper."
Loki blanked, feeling his eyes widen and blink on their own accord a few times. He wasn't sure if he heard the woman correctly, as the unusual statement made his brain freeze.
Loud snickering from behind the blushing woman interrupted the system error that he was experiencing in his head. It wasn't often that somebody managed to render him speechless. It looked like whoever was in line behind the stripper woman had taken advantage of that. Loki's eyes snapped to the short-haired person, who looked torn between cringing and breaking into embarrassed laughter.
The stripper left without a word, and as Loki picked up the cursed writing instrument once again, the short-haired person smiled at him kindly. "That was a little weird," They snorted, "And thanks, have a nice day Mr. Loki."
"When life gives you melons, you might be dyslexic," Another woman, that appeared to be the short haired person's friend, deadpanned and gave a cynical side-eye to the departing stripper. Loki heard snickering coming from the short-haired person and quietly joined himself. The woman noticed it, winking at him as she collected the newly signed t-shirt. "Bye," She smiled kindly.
It was a split second decision, really. Something about the cheeky way she addressed the situation sparked Loki's interest. "Wait, you forgot something, darling," His baritone called out to the departing woman. She turned around, confused, and hastily grabbed the standard issue photo that he was holding out to her. With a final grateful nod, she smiled and left.
If Loki's smile had returned for the time being, none of his teammates made any remarks on it. Only his brother, Thor, gave a couple of knowing looks to the Asgardian sorcerer.
The woman in question didn't think twice about the photo that she stashed in her backpack along with the signed t-shirt. The Comic-Con had been full of people and the lines were unfairly long. The sheer exhaustion after attending a 3-day long convention had set in and she was eager to simply come home back to her apartment and crash on the nearest soft flat surface. Upon arrival, she did exactly that, flopping down gracelessly on the couch, her backpack landing next to her with a careless thud.
Unloading her trophies was a short time affair: a single white tee with a dozen signatures on it, written in what she hoped was waterproof Sharpie; one mug, shaped like an Iron Man helmet; one poster, showing Spider-Man on a picturesque NYC horizon and a signed photo of one Loki. Strangely enough, she did not remember requesting it - not that she was complaining. Free merch was free merch.
The front side wasn't signed whatsoever. Overcome by curiousity, she turned it around. A phone number was written on the back of it, the handwriting neat and the letters obviously being inked out by a thinner, more sophisticated pen than the one Loki had used for scribbling on the tee. The woman gaped silently, not believing her eyes. Did Loki himself had given her his phone number?
One margarita and a hefty helping of Chinese takeout later, the numbers persisted staring back at her mutely, the neat cursive being almost mocking in its quiet. The woman's smartphone had found a comfortable place right next to the photo, equally mum regarding the unusual situation.
An additional margarita was needed to gather the courage required to actually type out the number in the receiver box. Fruity alcoholic concoction in one hand and phone clutched in the other, the woman's eyes squeezed shut tightly as soon as the dreaded "Hey, got your number today! :)" read delivered. She'd typed and erased the message several times, groaning in embarrassment. How the hell does one approach an alien god?
"Hello! May I ask your name?" The response came after a brief moment - a moment the woman had suffered through by taking too haste sips of her drink, her common since screaming her to not overdo it and wait at least a full minute before replying. Everything felt awkward and misplaced.
In no time, she was sending the screenshots of the conversation to her girl-advice group chat that consisted of her closest friends. Chatting with Loki turned out to be surprisingly easy and he was great at upholding conversation, something that couldn't be said about all those Tinder matches she had had back in the day.
Even if using proper grammar during a text message conversation was something she had to reacquaint herself with, she was glad he wasn't just another boring, shalllow, condescending-ass white boy. Despite the cultural differences and his lack of knowledge of things like pop culture and music - something he said he was working on since New Asgard became a sovereign state on Earth - they bonded over music and tattoos and generally being rebellious against society's standarts.
The invitation to dinner didn't come as a surprise for the woman. She agreed happily, looking forward to continue their conversation outside of the internet - if Loki's part of the chat was anything to go by, not only was he charming, but also quite intelligent. And easy on the the eyes, too. They had traded selfies at some point and the Asgardian didn't look any worse in a hoodie and sweatpants than he did in his battle leathers. Loki had appeared to truly have had integrated into Earth's society.
The night of the date, the continuous text exchange did very little to calm her nerves. Loki texted as much as an overeager teenage boy: every now and then he would double-text and grossly overreact to her sending a simple meme. In fact, he smugly conveyed the fact he'd single-handedly started a meme war between the Avengers and even Steve was forced to participate; something that was, allegedly, out of character for the blonde man.
She didn't mind. Not like she had many friends to have so much fun with. Even if it took her twice the time to do her favourite eyeliner style, it was worth it. She hoped Loki would appreciate the bold, but classy make-up and the dress and shoes combo that accentuated her assets. Her date expressed curiousity about her tattoos and the difference between her preferred style and the humans he spent most time with. She guessed secret agents were not particularly fond of anything that made them memorable so she held out quite the hope for... Showing off some of her tattoos in a more private setting.
In other, simpler words, the woman came in prepared for both a friendly, leisurely stroll and a quality night. Either way, it would be a time well spent.
Loki's shiny, raven hair was impossible to miss as he towered over the rest of the people waiting by the restaurant's entrance. He wore tailored black trousers and a simple cashmere sweater, perfect for the evening's damp, cool air. Tall and lithe, Loki was mouthwateringly handsome.
"Come here often?" She wormed her way through the crowd, causing the man to smirk down at her. Her cheeks flared from the tiny gesture alone.
"Just waiting for a friend," Loki uttered lowly, extending an arm towards the woman, which she gracefully accepted as they made way towards the entrance. "Reservation for Loki," The Asgardian stated to the hostess, who, after a rapid doube-take, led them to a private, secluded area in the back of the restaurant.
Loki shouldered the slightly awkward interaction with grace, paying no mind to the girl. His focus was solely on his date and he was nothing but gallant as he took the woman's purse and held out the chair for her to comfortably sit down. As a prince, he was taught well, she mused.
"Usually I would ask 'what brings you to our little ball of water and dirt?' but I think we can skip that part," The woman stated with a sheepish grin, idly flicking through the menu and curiously eyeing the items that were unfamiliar. The desire to try something new fought with the possibility of accidentally ordering something too far out - like snails or other things that rich people fancied, for some reason.
Loki's greens briefly appeared over the top of his menu, grateful and sparkling. "I think it's best if we do just that," For a second, he looked away, before returning to the menu. "I can think of better things to discuss. I recall you didn't finish telling me about that college friend of yours, who was an anarchist... I'm dying to know..."
The waiter came and went, barely noticed by the pair, as they both poked at something that sounded the most familiar for both of them. Stoically, Loki admitted that Tony Stark did the booking for him and the woman reluctantly acquitted she wasn't very familiar with upscale establishments, being of middle-class background and working a middle-class job.
Interrupting the story she began telling hours ago, the woman took the time to point out the things she was familiar with on the menu and advised Loki to stay away from - like the aforementioned snails, and other things, slimy and salty things that she considered to be 'disgusting but rich people liked it for some reason'. The conversation slowly progressed into Loki telling her the mischief he got up to at the feasts Odin threw. The Asgardian shared the woman's disregard for influential people doing gross things to show off.
The food was good - it was really hard to miss with a traditional Italian lasagna - and seeing Loki shovel an obscene amount of food was an experience, but she didn't comment on it, tactful enough to consider his alien biology might have different dietary requirements that her human one. It was great, really, that she could order dessert and not feel guilty about it.
The gelato melted in her mouth like sweet ecstasy and she moaned with her next bite, only partly aware of how obscene really was the noise.
Loki's hand stuttered on it's way to his mouth. Wide-eyed, he stared at her lips, at her mouth, where her tongue lapped up the small drops of dessert from the spoon. "Why the split tongue?" The Asgardian finally gathered his wits, having had a good look of what he was sure was a trick of the eye at first.
She grinned, acutely aware of the effect that particular body modification had on men. "I like being different. I embrace the weird." She giggled, not at all ashamed, sticking out her tongue and wiggling both parts of it teasingly.
Loki's Adam's apple bobbed; "Weird?" He raised his eyebrow, fighting to maintain his previous cool composure.
She nodded. "Weird," She retorted coyly. "I usually don't divulge the details at least until the third date. Wouldn't want to scare my potential suitors off," The playful wink was the proverbial cherry on top. He was hooked, his eyes darkened, following the plump arch of her lips as she took another spoonful of the treat and savoured it, closing her eyes for a brief moment.
It was pornographic.
"Obviously, Midgardians don't know what's good for them," Loki scoffed in his usual bored monotone, fully aware of how fitful his attempt to conceal his excitement was. He sounded needy even to his own ears.
"And you do?" She pushed away the empty plate, chastely patting her mouth with a napkin. The raised eyebrow and the little smirk spoke volumes.
The grin he wore was hardly anything but feral; he asked for the waiter's assistance by flicking his wrist in an impatient fashion. Once the bill was paid and the woman's cardigan found its rightful place on her shoulders, Loki once again took hold of her arm, this time holding her smaller body against his larger one, taking care to slow down and keep his strides shorter.
She found the coolness of his presence refreshing in the moist, heavy air of the New York city.
"Where to, milady?" Loki asked her, looking down at the woman fondly.
"My place is a block away. Walk me, good sir?" She gave a delightfully easy smile in return.
He nodded, letting her lead the way, allowing himself to get a little bit lost in their shared presence, a little bubble of them in the middle of a busy city. It was as if someone had quickly turned down the volume of the honking cars and noisy pedestrians around them, leaving the soft breeze and the sun slowly descending below the skyscrapers. It felt far too short, partaking in the comfortable silence together, skin tingling under the thin layers of cloth where they were touching.
The sun was trapped in the strands of her hair as she smiled at him from her doorway, worrying her lip between her teeth. It was a bittersweet moment.
"A kiss good night for the good sir?" She asked hopefully, eyes darting between his face and his mouth.
Loki obliged, resting his palm flat on the door frame, towering over the woman as he gently slotted his thin, cool lips against her warm ones. The woman stood on her tippy toes, eager, placing a hand on his chest. The pair melted into the kiss - it had no business being this mind-blowing, brain-freezing for two people that have not met until that very day. The woman didn't refuse when Loki probed with his tongue, requesting entrance to her mouth; she licked into his own with fervor, fisting her hands in the soft fabric of his sweater.
With the hand that was free, Loki pulled the woman flush with himself, feeling the heat of her start a fire of its own inside of him. Her breathing rapid, the gesture only served to tighten her hold on his sweater, until a soft, barely audible moan slipped into his mouth, causing his brain to quickly reassess the situation.
Regretfully, Loki pulled away, clearing his throat. "Perhaps we should take this elsewhere," He meaningfully looked at the array of doors around them.
"I thought you'd never ask," She retorted with a fond eyeroll, tightening the grip on his sweater once more, to pull him inside her apartment and shut the door behind her. The awkward moments were few and in between; neither knew who reached for the other first, mashing their mouths with less grace than before, clutching at the other's arms and hips with hunger.
This time, Loki didn't hold back his own muted groans of satisfaction, shivering when the woman's hands snuck under his sweater and the simple tank top he wore underneath. Blunt nails scraped along his abs.
Step by step, she pushed him further inside her apartment, determined in her small quick strides. There was no mistake of their destination; no mistake in her desire: she was as hungry and as impatient as him. The crease between his eyebrows deepened, long arms extending to unzip the top of her dress to reveal a simple but tasteful black lacy bra covering her breasts. The woman barely noticed the action, stepping out of her dress as soon as it hit the floor.
He admired her. Inches of soft skin covered by intricate ink, some patterns bizarre and complicated, some beautiful in their simplicity. Loki couldn't wait to find out about the meaning behind every one of them, to trace the lines with his tongue and sink his teeth into the heated flesh.
The hands that were holding onto him for dear life tugged on his sweater and he chose to simply vanish it, too preoccupied with looking at the view in front of him. She gasped and her eyes met his: uncanny, magnetic emeralds shone with magic and power and desire.
"Fuck," She more mouthed than said, walking backwards in a trance until her shins hit the bed.
Loki grinned, advancing on the panting woman with the grace of a predator. "Darling?" His tone was innocent; his expression was anything but. His large hand encompassesed the side of her face, thumb running over her bottom lip in a possessive gesture that had her squirming in her place. He loved the way she just melted into his touch.
Their lips met again, slower this time. The kiss was once again graceful and unrushed, allowing them to explore the softness of each other's skin, mapping the arches and valleys with gentle strokes of their palms. The broad expanse of Loki's back was uneven, riddled with scars and blemishes, and she mapped every single one, blunt nails raking down it as she pressed into him, arching into his hands where he held her.
The soft flesh of her ass, barely covered by a scrap of black lace, was shamelessly grabbed - the woman didn't doubt there would be marks left - letting her feel his arousal pressed against her belly, hard and twitching. She didn't resist her desire to ge handsy and palmed it, taking note of the gasp and the twitch coming from the man occupied with the clasp of her bra. In no time, it flew away, forgotten somwhere the very moment Loki's palms took over her breasts, running a careful thumb over each nipple.
"Fuck," She parroted her previous statement, equally breathy and considerably more aroused.
"That's the plan," Loki's chuckle was hoarse.
She huffed, biting her bottom lip before reaching out to swiftly pop the button of his trousers, smirking at the hiss the friction of her palm produced against his cock. It shouldn't have surprised her that Loki was a commando kind of guy, but still, she gasped, partially from the ministrations of his clever fingers, partially from the mouthwatering sight in front of her. The thick, flushed length made saliva gather in the corners of her mouth.
He must've heard the audible swallow. "Not so haste, darling," He tutted, giving her relaxed body a gentle push, causing her to land on her back, heated skin against the soft duvet of her bed. "Let me taste you," A thud; Loki had dropped to his knees, using his large palms to spread her legs, opening her up to his eyes.
If his previous work hadn't made her so pliant, so aroused, she'd have been rendered speechless; instead, the woman arched her back, presenting herself and the desire that had pooled down below. The Asgardian chuckled, fingertips soft against the scratchy lace.
"Tease," The woman moaned, outstretching her arm to guide him but quite unable to reach him. She had to settle for squirming in her place, receiving a fraction of the desired traction against her swollen lips.
"Am I, love?" Loki asked her sweetly, caving enough to dip a single finger to run along the outside of her slit. It glided easily thanks to all the moisture gathered there, lips parting easily before his touch. The panties were vanished away promptly, another finger joining in immediately to rub slow, precise circles around her clit.
She keened low and long, fisting the fabric in her hand until her knuckles turned white. Loki knew what he was doing. It didn't take him very long to slide his long digits to the welcoming heat of her opening, dipping them inside until she began to make the noises he so craved. His mouth followed after that, long agile tongue drawing senseless shapes on the inside of her labia and dipping deeper, where her clit stood out engorged and slick.
He could smell the bittersweet of her arousal, mouthwatering and hot.
"Loki, fuck," She moaned, only half-coherent and partially aware of her own hips following his every stroke, every flick. He only advanced, hitting that sweet spot inside her with every stroke; the sparks traveling up her spine quickened with each time she changed his name like a prayer. "Loki, Loki, Loki..."
He growled, attaching his mouth firmly to her clit, and she arched for the final time, coming undone, squeezing around his fingers and gushing in his mouth, the obscene sounds covered by her own scream of delight and his impatient growling. The growling that sent shivers of aftershocks throughout her body.
"Darling, you taste so sweet," Loki groaned, still panting.
She took the time to open her eyes: Loki looked comically out of place in her bedroom, he dwarfed her bed and made her feel small, but it didn't matter at all at that very moment. His erection stood out hard and proud; despite the leg-shaking orgasm just moments ago, she wanted more, she wanted to taste him, she wanted to feel him inside-
With unsurprising agility, one swift motion was all it took for her to rest comfortably against the pillows, his throbbing member resting against the juncture of her thigh. She tasted her own release on his lips, however brief, whispering a weak, "Please," aching to feel the emptiness.
"As my lady wishes," Loki's cool breath ghosted over her cheek. She waited with baited breath until the tip of his manhood breached her, exhaling a moan into his neck and immediately wrapping her lips around a patch of skin as he stretched her so sweet.
Loki's arms shook slightly as he waited for her to adjust. He kissed her, soft and sweet; there was something vulnerable in him, something as sweet as the ache he'd taken away. Once he began to move, slow and fluid, all there was left was an all-consuming need to feel. As graceful as dancer and with a deadly precision, Loki pounded gasps, moans and screams out of the woman's slack mouth, kisses turning hungrier and sloppier by the second.
"So sweet," He cooed, relishing in the snug grip of her cunt around him.
She only keened in approval, too far gone and unused to the intensity of the feelings from a man with centuries of practice and the power of a god.
His thrusts slowed gradually until he was rutting into her, grinding his pelvic bone into her clit. The gasps and screams turned into drawn-out, longing moans; her hips followed his, meeting in a slow, sensual motion.
Loki was not a patient man. He withdrew - she gasped in protest - flipping the woman over on her fours with ease, taking but a split second to admire the curve of her body presented on display for him. Just for him.
With that thought burning in his mind, Loki sheathed his cock deeply inside her spasming cunt. It was nearly unbearably stimulating and only his own desire to prolong the bliss held back his own impending orgasm. That, and his own ego; he was naught if not a generous lover.
She slurred something, quiet and incorrigible, fucking back onto his cock as eagerly as he was plunging into her heat. The hand he'd placed on her shoulder promptly wrapped around her throat in hopes of lifting her close enough for him to hear the words but instead, it sent a full-bodied shiver throughout her. Loki grinned, tugging her that much closer.
The arch in her back looked quite uncomfortable yet she didn't mind; it was the exact opposite, in fact, her cunt tightened around him, drenching his shaft down to his balls. Her fingernails dug into the flesh of his thigh, the sting of pain going straight to his cock-
"Loki, I'm gonna, I'm gonna-" She slurred, gasping for air.
He weakened his hold on her throat enough to let her gulp the so-needed oxygen. It was her undoing: was it the rapid pace of oxygenated blood traveling to her brain or was it his cock, mercilessly pounding against her g-spot - she was violently spasming around his cock, much like she did around his fingers not too long ago.
It felt like ages, her crescendo coming in waves with no signs of stopping any time soon. Loki's continuous thrusts, his hips slamming into hers, her skin feeling like molten lava.
"Gonna fill your sweet cunt with my seed," Loki moaned lowly, holding her up by the throat, the other hand leaving fingertip-shaped bruises on the outside of her hips. "Mark you from the inside out," His voice had gone into primal territory, growling filling up the room.
"Please..." The woman rasped, oversensitive.
And he pleased, with a series of sharp thrusts, he buried himself to the hilt in her, the force of his release making her shudder and moan once against, going limp in his arms. Loki kept her in her place until every drop was inside of her cunt. Nothing was sweeter than that.
The Asgardian didn't bother with getting under the covers to hold her, conjuring a soft, comfortable throw in modest green, to cover their nudity. He didn't need the extra warmth but his companion was by far more fragile and sensitive to these things- Loki's fingertips traced the array of bruises he'd left in the wake of their passion, expression surprised as he found the woman smiling.
"Feels nice," She supplied meekly, eyes half-lidded, face trusting and open towards him.
He gave a small grin in return, placing a chaste kiss atop her head. "Yes, it does, darling."
Time after time, she didn't expect much out if their date. The sex was nice, nice enough for both of them to want seconds and thirds after their rushed first time - but it wasn't like she expected him to hand around. It was a pleasant change from the usual mutual ghosting she'd done with her previous partners, but Loki had texted again and they had resumed their conversation via text like nothing had happened.
No, that would be incorrect. Now, she had a wonderful friend who was a great conversationalist and an even better lover. There was no pressure to put a label on their relationship so the woman didn't bother with it; it didn't seem like Loki cared about the label, either, so she left the topic alone and enjoyed things the way they were. It wasn't like she had a line of suitors anyway.
She couldn't help the smile that creeped onto her face when she unlocked her phone and saw a video call request from other than Loki himself. She still had thirty minutes worth of lunch break to waste and this was a wonderful time to chat with a friend.
"Stark, hand it back or I swear to Norns-" Loki's voice sounded agitated and far away, accompanied by sounds of a struggle; the bearded, smug face on the screen was not who she expected at all. Only years of customer service and low bullshit tolerance combined stopped her from freaking out seeing none other than Tony Stark smirking at her from the screen of her phone.
"Yes?" She arched an eyebrow, taking note of the anger of Loki's tone.
"Hi, I don't think I need to introduce myself," Stark babbled, eyeing her - disheveled and with a wall full of sticky notes and miscellaneous items acting as the background to her video. "Reindeer games refused to show you to us so we decided to persuade him," Tony's grin grew wider, muted whispers being rapidly exchanged in the background all the while Loki screeched "BROTHER!" and various expletives at the top of his lungs.
"You could've, I dunno," She paused, unimpressed. "Asked me to dinner, like a normal person. Instead of stealing, you know, like a thief," The eyeroll that she performed had the team worried her eyes would fall out of their sockets.
"I merely borrowed his phone, don't be dramatic," Stark huffed, and for a moment, she could see various other people trying to look at the screen and by extension, at her. "So, what is it that you do? Because Smurf over there wouldn't..."
"Oops, bad signal. Sorry, can't hear you properly," Her side of the call suddenly shook and in a moment, she ended the call, not at all willing to deal with people that lacked boundaries. Sure, it might have been Iron Man, but if he was planning on being a snooping asshole, she wasn't gonna go down with that easily.
Exactly five minutes after she had clocked out, an incoming call from Loki had her equal parts excited and mortified. What if..? But he was apologetic. And very angry, swearing in his native language - something that he'd promised to teach her at some point.
"So, Clint did it?" She sipped her beverage, strolling home with the phone pressed snugly against her ear.
"Most of it was his fault, yes," Loki grouched on the other end of the call.
"I vote we get back at him. Invite me over, if he's so inclined to see me, and watch him get humiliated in front of everybody," It wasn't a secret she had her own mischievous tendencies.
"As much as I appreciate your vigour, darling, I doubt the Widow will appreciate you verbally castrating the Hawk in public," He replied sourly, his voice still betraying the faint notes of interest.
"I have a backup plan!" She stated without a hitch. "He'll embarrass himself and I'll be your alibi."
"I'm listening," Loki perked up immediately.
They decided to not to stall and schedule the 'family dinner', as Thor himself dubbed it, for the next available weekend. Loki had made sure Tony's AI had been made aware the trickster would be gone all day, and it took him very little magic and effort to pop in and out of the tower for the five minutes that were needed to execute their prank.
His friend barely managed to keep the snickering at bay as they ascended the elevator to the common floor where the dinner was being held. Not only that, but the woman spouted an area of dark purple love marks, barely obscured by the low turtleneck of her blouse.
She made her introductions and they made theirs. "This affair could use some background noise," She remarked off-handedly, casting a meaningful glance at the TV.
Tony Stark was known for being a great host so he entertained her wishes, flicking on the huge flat screen with a flick of his wrist.
The team froze.
"I... -" The woman stared at the screen, mouth hanging wide open at the scenes that played out. "... am not going to kinkshame, but please turn it off," She stated in a small voice, seemingly unable to tear her eyes away from the mass of tentacles commencing erotic assault on a woman's body.
Wordlessly, the TV shut down, immersing the room in stunned silence. Loki face-palmed, the slap of his palm against his face echoing in the eerily quiet room.
"Loki!" Captain America, red as a tomato, instantly accused the most obvious person.
Except, he had forgotten one thing. "Loki was with me all day," The woman replied, unkindly. "Do you need more proof?" She tugged on the hem of her turtleneck, exposing an inch of skin marked blue.
The good Captain's face changed the shade once again, venturing very well into beetroot territory. "Who was the last one to use the TV?" Rogers asked, now with a hint of anger, as he stared at a guffawing Bucky.
"I believe it was Mr. Barton," The AI piped up, mechanical voice sounding almost insinuating. Or, perhaps, it just appeared that way.

i was tagged by my babe mia (@officialglenntilbrook) to answer these question!! thank u honeybee!! <3 hope you are well!! i took this way too seriously and answered them like i was getting interviewed so read below <3
1. what is the first song you remember hearing? i mean let’s be real it was probably something by the wiggles, possibly one from the wiggly safari with steve irwin as that one was my favourite <3 first actual rock song i remember was ‘lunatics have taken over the asylum’ by fun boy three because my mama loved the band!!!
2. what is the first band you got into? like many people, the beatles! they have always been apart of my life, starting when i was five and going to see a stage production my brother was in and they played i want to hold your hand! but the big influence was my teacher when i was around eleven, who viewed yellow submarine as a christmas song and played that song on repeat towards the end of the year. i did a bit more research into them and fell deeply in love with them, particularly with george <3
3. do you collect any physical music?
yes!!! one of my favourite memories i had as a child is going down to the the local music/dvd store to buy a cd, though they weren’t anything very exciting. when i got into the beatles, i would buy their cds so i could play them in the car and then transferred to getting records. i don’t know how much records i have but it’s gotta be at least over 100! i love them all so much but i’m broke because of it :^((
4. what is your favourite piece of music memorabilia? any of the posters that come with records i have bought. obviously the beatles white album with the four pictures of the boys and the collage i find pretty cool.
5. what's your favourite concert you've ever been to? the church always has a special place in my heart because it was the first concert i went alone. i nearly passed out when i saw steve!!! the lady next to me said ‘it is as if the beatles are on stage for you’ and i mean she wasn’t wrong! i guess also the stone roses but i don’t really remember much about it besides john, he smiled at me and it was true love really <3
6. if you could see one artist who is no longer alive in concert, who would it be?
babe. i can’t answer this one. there are too many. obviously the rolling stones with brian but again, i could make a list of the ones i wanted to see!!
7. have you met any musicians?
i met peter noone and karl green of the herman’s hermits becuase they recognised me from instagram. and i also met jarvis cocker because my auntie is friend with his ex-wife and i made myself look like such a fool in the most sexiest way possible <3
8. what is your go to album when you're feeling sad?
there are many but i will name the top three to make it easy;
crowded house’s self-titled debut which i just realised i didn’t include on that list on my favourite debut albums and i’m going insane how could i forget it!!!!!!!!
the stone roses’ self-titled debut. it’s so full of angst and love and every emotion that i have ever felt.
aftermath by the rolling stones. this is just the album i listen to when i need a pick me up, always make me feel so much better.
9. what is your go to album when you're feeling happy?
again i’m going with the top three because i can’t narrow it down!
odessey and oracle by the zombies. just pure sixties baroque pop that you can’t help but bop your head along to.
hums of the lovin’ spoonful. again for the same reason above, all the songs are just pure ‘good time music’ as steve boone would say.
get wet by the mental as anything. this was an album my dad really loved and some of the songs are just so funny like !! what are they thinking i wanna know!!
10. what is one music documentary you love?
i’m gonna go with the obvious and say the spark brothers (2021). it was basically an excuse for edgar wright the fangirl over his favourite band and i find it very sweet!!
11. what is one concert DVD you love? the rolling stones rock and roll circus!! again obvious but for someone who doesn’t really watch movies often, it’s one i always seem to go back to!
12. do you prefer listening to playlists or albums? oooo toughie!! as you can see by my spotify, it’s practically littered with playlists however a lot of them as just band playlists so in some way it’s album. i will have to go with playlist because i end up listening to them a lot more than albums because i want to listen to a collection of my favourite songs compared to albums but i still think they are groovy!!
13. do you prefer to listen to albums in order or on shuffle? in order! i often feel very strange when i’m listening to one song and then the next song is not the song which would follow on the album. i literally feel so lost!!
14. what is your favourite deep cut song by your favourite artist? this will be our year by the zombies. no song has created such an uplifting yet very very depressed bar this song and i don’t blame it <3
15. what is your favourite cd/cassette/vinyl you own in terms of packaging?
i do really like their satanic majesties request by the rolling stones with its 3D image on the front. also pulp’s different class. i mean, that’s what vinyl was meant to look like!
i will tag @60sgroove @ohdarlings & @carygrantdyke - of course don’t feel any pressure to do this, i’d just love to know your answers to some of the questions!

Tagged by @bastard-mice, sorry this took me so damn long to get around to! I really love this one ✨
1. What’s the first song you remember hearing?
“Clint Eastwood” by Gorillaz! Their first album was released when I was three years old, my mom was super into them since day one
2. What’s the first band you got into?
The first band I got into outside of stuff my mom listened to was Coldplay LMAO (I was like 10 cut me some slack), however the first band I really fixated on and became a superfan of was Rammstein at age 12! And I’m still just as obsessed over a decade later.....

Nope, I used to collect records but I lost my collection when I moved and I don’t have the money or willpower to start the collection fresh :(
4. What is your favorite piece of music memorabilia?
I don’t have anything particularly special yet, a heem heem whimper ;__;
5. What’s your favorite concert that you’ve been to?

Only one (1), I briefly met Trent Reznor after a NIN concert!
8. What’s your go-to album when you’re feeling sad?

I don’t really have one! I listen to pretty much anything when I’m in a good mood
10. What is one music documentary that you love?
“Until the Light Takes Us”! It isn’t even the best documentary about the black metal scene and in retrospect it focuses on Varg Vikernes more than I’d like, but it’s the first real dive I took into black metal so it’s very nostalgic for me :)
11. What is one concert DVD that you love?
RAMMSTEIN LIVE AUS BERLIN MY BELOVED
12. Do you prefer listening to playlists or albums?
I usually prefer playlists, I only really listen to rock operas (or albums that I really like) chronologically all the way through

7. have you met any musicians? yes i met john darnielle of mountain goats fame after a show when i was sixteen. i’m sure i’ve told this story here before but i was so anxious because i knew whatever i said to him wouldn’t be enough to convey how much i love his music. he signed my phone case. my friend only had a movie ticket in his wallet in terms of things to autograph which JD thought was funny and he signed his name as ‘arnold schwarzenegger’ lmfao. i also said hello to carrie brownstein outside of a bathroom in a texas airport once.
8. what is your go to album when you're feeling happy? hm i don’t know if there’s a specific album i listen to when i'm happy! there are plenty of albums i listen to when i'm sad though lol.
9. what is one music documentary you love? stop making sense if it counts!!!!!! or monterey pop.
10. do you prefer listening to playlists or albums? playlists
11. do you prefer to listen to albums in order or on shuffle? usually shuffle i think which i realize is controversial!!! i tend to listen to albums that i initially listened to primarily on CD or vinyl in their proper order (beyoncé’s lemonade, puberty 2, yeezus, anything by the beatles lol) but in general i don’t really care.
12. what is your favourite deep cut song by your favourite artist? hmmmmmmm not rly a deep cut i guess but my favorite version of inertia by blur is this live one from the 1999 electric ballroom gig (bonus my sharona gag at the beginning lol). also i prefer the control freak remix of bugman?? for some reason????
13. what is your favourite cd/cassette/vinyl you own in terms of packaging? i guess my led zeppelin iii LP cos of the trick cover (this is a video of someone demonstrating it)
fanks jake this was fun i tag anyone who wants to!!!

i was tagged by @carygrantdyke to answer some questions !! 🌺
what is the first song you remember hearing?
no idea!! i’m sure it was something good though ;) my parents love music and they always played me songs to fall asleep to. i don’t remember anything in particular from later childhood but it probably was something by rihanna or other pop star from this time. hard to say!
what is the first band you got into?
guns’ n roses ehehe. i still listen to them sometimes but i’m not Into them. they definitely shaped me in some way and i can’t deny that!! i’d discovered michael jackson first though so if it counts then it’s michael :-))
do you collect any physical music?
yep! i collect cds (300+). i also own records but i do not buy any new ones anymore so it’s just those 50 (more or less) i’ve gathered over the years
what is your favorite piece of music memorabilia?
i don’t rly have any except for cds and records. i’ve got two posters, one of david bowie and the other of iggy pop and a couple of biographies i used to read when i was younger but they’re hardly favourites
what's your favourite concert you've ever been to?
hmm probably all three depeche mode gigs i’ve been to. one in 2017 and the other two in 2018. also pearl jam in 2014 (!!!)
if you could see one artist who is no longer alive in concert, who would it be?
there are so many, it’s actually so sad. but i’m gonna go with michael hutchence here so inxs
have you meet any musicians?
nope. not sure i’d like to either
what is your to go album when you're feeling sad?
shit it depends!! i’ll say all things must pass by george harrison. it’s such a comforting album for me
what is your to go album when you're feeling happy?
something energetic... lately it’s been everything by maneskin. does it mean i’ve been happy the past two months? no but let’s pretend!
what is one music documentary you love?
i rly liked mystify: michael hutchence from the ones i’ve seen in recent time. all the other ones seem to have escaped my mind rn. ah okay also that one abt george harrison - living in the material world
what is one dvd concert you love?
oof so many, live baby live inxs, 101 depeche mode, the very last ziggy stardust performance, queen at the rainbow ‘74 etc etc etc. i also got them on dvd except for live baby live. got a couple more as well
do you prefer listening to playlists or albums?
i make hundreds of playlists but i rarely listen to them from start to finish. it’s always more of a collection of certain moods. so i’d say albums
do you prefer listening to albums in order or on shuffle?
in order or particular songs. i never shuffle albums when i want to listen to the whole of it
what is your favorite deep cut song by your favourite artist?
damn this dumb bitch had to google what a deep cut song means!! idk first thing that came to mind is shout and my bonnie by the beatles. both are covers and none of them even sings in my bonnie but for some reason i’m mad abt those two little songs. they’re both on anthology album. it’s just an example that came to mind first but i’m rly tired today so we’ll leave it at that even tho i’m sure i could name plenty more
what is your favorite cd/cassete/vinyl you own in terms of packing?
i quite like the way the beatles albums are packed even though i’m not usually into paper packages and i like to stick to simple plastic ones. but i love a nice booklet so!! gotta say vinyls are always beautiful in terms of aesthetic so i’m kinda sad that 1) i can’t rly afford them and 2) i’m not a massive fan of the vinyl sound 3) my record player is old and new pressings almost always don’t play properly on it

Thanks for the tag @rockanrolljunkie , very interesting questions!
1. What is the first song you remember hearing?
I don’t have any cool stories but it’s probably one of the numerous children DVDs I’ve watched for like developmental learning my parents used to show me when I was younger.  Disney Learning Adventures or something like that.
2. What is the first band you got into?
Rick Springfield and I know he isn’t really a band but he was the first artist I really latched onto aside from my mother’s influence.  However, I suppose it was partially her fault since I first saw him live after Night Ranger had opened up for him I think in the summer of 2015.  I didn’t want to stay anymore but then once we were leaving I remember hearing Jessie’s Girl and for the rest of the night I couldn’t stop singing that verse and well, the rest is history.
3. Do you collect music on any physical format?
Haha, yes, I often make many bad financial decisions due to this.  Well, my mother is also a very big collector and lately I’ve been collecting many used CDs that I’m able to find and vinyls from Mercari.  I like both CDs and vinyl but I got to admit vinyl is slightly cooler just because seeing that large disc spinning and hearing that slightly tinged sound knowing that somebody maybe half a century ago was listening to this same disc never fails to shake me.
4. What is your favourite piece of music-related memorabilia/merchandise?
I’ve accumulated a large amount of Burrn magazines from the 80s and 90s but my favorites have got to be the 1985 Ritchie Blackmore one:
Tumblr media
I also have a large Nelson poster across my bed which is a great conversation piece:
Tumblr media
5. What is your favourite concert you've been to?
I really enjoyed the Rick Springfield concert I went to in the summer of 2019 at a fair.  It was actually accompanied by an orchestra and I remember time going by so fast.  Something funny though is that there was a pretty large seating area and everyone was standing except my small section which for some reason refused to stand.  When I tried to get up I felt the glare of somebody behind me but besides that it was a great concert!
6. If you could see one artist (or band) who is no longer alive in concert, who would it be?
Damn, that’s really hard.  Technically DP and Rainbow are still playing today but I’d absolutely love to see Mark 4 of Rainbow live, I’d do almost anything to go to that Monsters of Rock show in 1980.  Just to see Cozy play with Ritchie, Graham, Don, and Roger, that would be something truly magical.
7. Have you met any musicians?
Mostly through my mom but I’ve met Night Ranger and I remember once even at an airport which was pretty surprising.  I’ve also met Firehouse which is another one of my mother’s favorite bands but they’re all really talented and humble people.  I’ve also met Rick Springfield which was...very nerve-racking for me.  I remember looking forward to that all of 8th grade...ha good times.  My mom actually was on the same plane as Chris Impellitterri but didn’t want to go up to him because she didn’t know him too well.  She also met the Queensryche guys and Daryl Hall so if anything you know, my mom has been places.
8. What is your go-to song/album when feeling sad?
I like listening to happy music when I’m sad actually but often times I find myself listening to After the Rain by Nelson.  This past year when I was in a bad mood or whatever I would put on In the Aeroplane Over the Sea which, I know, is a interesting choice to say the least, it’s really good at either releasing the tension or creating more.
9. What is your go-to song/album when feeling happy?
I mean, Down to Earth and Ritchie Blackmore’s Rainbow come to mind.  I also have been listening to a lot of Come Taste the Band and Private Eyes by Tommy Bolin as well as Because They Can by Nelson.
10. What is one music-related documentary you love?
I’ve watched lots of DP and Rainbow documentaries but I really adore the one aired on BBC and was part of the Rock Family Trees series.  It has lots of great interviews with Jon Lord and David as well as some Cozy segments talking about the Rainbow period.  I cited it a lot while writing my research paper too.
11. What is one concert DVD that you love?
I’m not sure about concert DVDs per-say however my favorite filmed concert would have to be either Deep Purple at California Jam 1974 or Operation Live Crime with the concerts in Madison Wisconsin.  The former because it’s an iconic moment in all of rock and roll history and David and Glenn just kill it and the latter because the band just sounds phenomenal and I wanna know if anybody here in Madison, Wisconsin believes in love?
Well I don’t....
12. Do you prefer listening to playlists or full albums?
Before I listened to playlists but lately I haven’t touched them.  I usually listen to albums, they’re kind of already like playlists except created by the artist lol.  If I don’t like certain parts or are in a hurry then I don’t mind skipping.
13. Do you tend to listen to albums in order or on shuffle?
In order, shuffling can be fun though like one time I shuffled Machine Head to pick my future wedding song and Space Truckin’ came on so I guess that’s going to happen.
14. What is your favourite deep cut song by your favourite artist?
I have several favorite artists but starting with Deep Purple, songs such as Blind, Chasing Shadows, The Gypsy, Love Child, Mad Dog, and all of Who Do We Think We Are besides Woman From Tokyo come to mind.  Then for Rainbow I think Self Portrait, Makin’ Love, and Midtown Tunnel Vision are just phenomenal.  For Nelson I really enjoy Nobody Wins In the End which is the final song on their second album and Written In Rock by Rick Springfield is probably my favorite song from his.
15. What is your favorite CD/vinyl/cassette that you own in terms of packaging?
I really enjoy the No Bad Habits vinyl that I own from Graham Bonnet just because I think the cover is gorgeous and the blue suede suit just fits him perfectly.  It always sits in front of my vinyls lol.
I’d like to tag @whodoesntlikewho , @houseofaffuso , @ritchieblackless ,  @high-way-star , @inthemidnightmeme , and @vibesfromepicforest and anyone else who wants to do it!

Thank u for tagging bro!!! Now I have to watch soundbreaking @cloudbear
1. what is the first song you remember hearing?
Ob la di bla da? Is that how it’s spelled?? The beatles song every dad shows their kid to introduce them to music.
2. what is the first band you got into?
Ah fuck this is a difficult question. Quite possibly the beastie boys. That’s the first band that registers as being on my $15 MP3 player from middle school haha
3. Do You collect physical music?
Yep! Around 30 vinyls probably! Very diverse in genre. Most recent acquisition being a Blood Incantation record, I think!
4. What is your favorite piece of music memorabilia?
A dave grohl candle, one of those Catholic saint ones!
5. what's your favourite concert you're ever been to?
I think I have 2….. firstly System of a Down at Sonic Temple festival in Ohio. I see a lot of pop punk shows in town and I always feel a little judged for some reason. I like big rock festivals because it’s mostly down to earth 30 year old working class metal heads who are extremely nice. The concert itself just had an awesome energy, we were packed like sardines, sweaty as shit, it was the headliner of the night. It just went hard as fuck.
Secondly tom morello of Rage Against the Machine/Audioslave. Again, older crowd, so a great vibe :). Tom is an incredible guitarist, but he doesn’t sing so everyone just fills in and sings the RATM and Audioslave songs, it’s really beautiful. And of course everyone singing killing in the name of together at the end is always killer!!!
6. if you could see one artist who is no longer alive in concert, who would it be?
2/3s Are still kickin, but the beastie boys. I’m sad I missed that era.
7. have you met any musicians?
Many 😎 I’m lucky and get to go backstage at a lot of festivals and stuff so I’ve rubbed shoulders with some pretty cool acts!!
8. What is your go-to album when you’re feeling sad?
There are two albums I have scream cried to: The Black Parade (cliche, I know) and a VERY UNDERRATED album that everyone should listen to: Mannequin Pussy’s “Patience”
9. What is your go-to album when you’re feeling happy?
Tough one! I find myself returning to Pink Floyd, but I’m more likely to listen to a new album when I’m happy!
10. what is one music documentary you love?
Aghhh can’t remember the name but it was on The Neptunes! If you think you don’t know The Neptune’s, yes you do.
11. What’s your favorite concert DVD?
Anything BeeGees.
12. do you prefer listening to playlists or albums?
Albums take the right environment and state of mind for me. I have to be in a space with 0 interruptions. I don’t PREFER playlists per se but for that reason I end up listening to them more.
13. Do you prefer listening to albums in order or on shuffle?
SHUFFLING AN ALBUM!!!!??? The DISRESPECT!!!
14. What is your favorite deep cut song by your favorite artist?
Maybe….Twin Hype Back by Run the Jewels.
15. what is your favourite cd/cassette/vinyl you own in terms of packaging?
I absolutely love the packaging for Paul’s Boutique by the Beastie Boys (geez 3rd mention in this post)….it’s also a very underrated album! Unfortunately overlooked!

I got tagged by @disrespectfullcalum.
I know it's been a long time ago you tagged me but I just got the motivation to do it now.
1. What’s the first song you remember hearing?
I don't know the song but my mother used to always sing German children's songs with us. Stuff like Die Vogelhochzeit and Backe, backe Kuchen.
2. What’s the first band you got into?
One Direction. Yes, I was a hardcore Directioner when I was 13/14.
3. Do you collect physical music?
I like having the actual CDs of the bands and musicians I like but I don't necessarily collect it.
4. What is your favorite piece of music memorabilia?
Probably my BTS album. It was the first Kpop album I got and I just like how much stuff is in there. Like photo cards, a poster, the booklet, etc.
5. What’s your favorite concert that you’ve been to?
I've never been to a concert. The Eskimo Callboy/Blind Channel one is going to be the first.
6. If you could see any artist that’s no longer alive in concert, who would it be?
I don't listen to any musicians that aren't alive anymore. So no one comes to mind. Maybe Freddie Mercury, I think that would be a fun experience.
7. Have you met any musicians?
I haven't. And to be honest I don't think that's gonna change anytime soon. I don't really care about meeting any musicians tbh and also I'm incredibly socially awkward and have social anxiety.
8. What’s your go-to album when you’re feeling sad?
9. What’s your go-to album when you’re feeling happy?
For 8. and 9.: I don't listen to albums like at all. Very rarely.
10. What is one music documentary that you love?
I think the only music documentary I've ever seen was One Direction - This is us.
11. What is one concert DVD that you love?
The only recorded concerts I've seen have been with my mother on TV, not DVD. And it was all kinds of bands and musicians. Stuff like Adele or ACDC. I don't remember any enough to pick one I love though.
12. Do you prefer listening to playlists or albums?
Well if it hasn't been obvious till now playlists.
13. Do you listen to albums in order or on shuffle?
On the rare occasion, I actually listen to an album I mostly listen to them in order because most of the time there is a reason for the order the songs are in.
14. What is your favorite deep cut song by your favorite artist?
Does Unforgiving by Blind Channel count as deep cut?
So thanks again for the tag. I'm not tagging anyone in particuar. Everyone who wants to do this can count themselves as tagged by me.

Well I gotta deliver at one point or another. Needed a bit to think about those (and about my uni essay). So thank you for tagging me @drippinlou
I tend to take my music taste too serious 🤣 so sorry beforehand. This might as well be hilarious.
1. What’s the first song you remember hearing?
Dragostea din tei - O-Zone
It was the year 2003 and this was played over and over again on the radio. So my kindergarten teacher let our group create a choreography to present at the annual summer get-together in front of our parents.
2. What’s the first band you got into?
Probably I should say Led Zeppelin or Metallica. My dad was a big fan and when he drove me somewhere we would headbang in the car and he told me all about the concerts he's been to and who was playing which instrument and from which drug addiction they where suffering.
My first band Obsession was 5 Seconds of summer. I wasn't a Directioner, I was one of the cool edgy kids I listened to 'punk rock'. No, I seriously felt like I'm definitely not like other girls.
3. Do you collect physical music?
No, usually I don't. I own a few albums only because I like the cover artwork but my CD-Player broke a few years ago. I try to manage my possessions digitally as much as possible.
4. What is your favorite piece of music memorabilia?
A Rock am Ring 1994 Festival memorial shirt. I of course was born 1999. It was my dad's shirt he gifted it to me when it didn't fit him anymore. My parents met at this festival so it's quite precious to me. My dad missed 'apparently' missed Rammstein because of her (I checked, Rammstein didn't play that year)
5. What’s your favorite concert that you’ve been to?
It's quite embarrassing but I've never been to a concert yet. When I discovered my genre of music the pandemic hit and before that I was never so much into a artist that I considered going to a concert.
6. If you could see any artist that’s no longer alive in concert, who would it be?
I mean of course the Beatles, who wouldn't like to see the beatles. But technically some of those bands are still touring but I would have liked to see AC/DC, Deep Purple and the Rolling Stones in the original lineup. I mean the seeing Michael Jackson or Amy Whinehouse would have been nice too. But most of the artists that I actively listen too are still in the business.
7. Have you met any musicians?
No. And I don't really aspire too. I saw a German Pop-Singer once in a restaurant, and even through I did listen to his music at the time I would never go up to them because of privacy reasons. I can fangirl online I don't have to bring that up to them.
8. What’s your go-to album when you’re feeling sad?
The 'Recovery'-Album from Eminem. It throws me back into my teenage self who had - compared to me now - very different problems and I've overcome them and that kinda means I will overcome the recent ones too. And I hate being sad, so getting into an angy mood sometimes is better than crying in the corner.
9. What’s your go-to album when you’re feeling happy?
I don't have an album but I've got a "sing along in the car"-Playlist with cringe euro dance stuff. Or my "Barbecue with Daddy"-Playlist with classic rock and old school metal.
10. What is one music documentary that you love?
Does "The Dirt" the Mötley Crüe Biopic count? I'm not overly into documentarys. I did like 'Rocketman' too and the festival documentaries of the Wacken Open Air.
11. What is one concert DVD that you love?
I dont own a single one. If I watch something on TV I'm gonna go for a movie.
12. Do you prefer listening to playlists or albums?
Definitely Playlists. The music needs to fit my mood. If it changes theme suddenly I get aggravated.
13. Do you listen to albums in order or on shuffle?
If I do listen to albums I don't care about the order - usually. Except if it's like one of those concept albums where the order really matters to tie together some story (like Wretched and Divine: The Story of the Wild Ones by BVB - I love this album. Its teenage wanna-be-emo Toni in a nutshell) but I at least listen to any album in order once to determine if I should keep it that way.
14. What is your favorite deep cut song by your favorite artist?
I change favorite artists so often... and favorite songs too. But my all time go-to is probably "Breath of Life" by Florence and the Machine. I love this song. I can dance my heart out to it or cry in my bed.

Tagged by @glistening-gore and finally, have a day off to do it!!
1. What’s the first song you remember hearing?
I have a playlist of childhood songs! I think the one that particularly sticks out to be vivid would be Hot Child In The City, for some reason that song sticks out to be the most. Maybe Toxic as a runner-up?
2. What’s the first band you got into?
Korn or Satyricon tbh. I was like 9/10 or something. Maybe Marilyn Manson.
3. Do you collect physical music?
Yes! I collect records and tapes! I have over 300 records!
4. What is your favorite piece of music memorabilia?
Mmm I have Vinny Mauro's drum stick! I also have a pick from Ryan, Ricky and Devin! I need to get my hands on a setlist from them one day. I also own a bootleg of Danzig's self-titled album.
5. What’s your favorite concert that you’ve been to?
This is a hard one. Probably FIDLAR because it was just such an insanely fun show. Iron Maiden always puts on an incredible show though and so did Kiss. Oh, maybe Dropkick Murphy's?? I was on stage for that one and that was fucking sick. OR SLIPKNOT. OR SLAYER. BOTH THOSE WERE REALLY GOOD TOO. I've been so many good ones it's so hard to pick.
6. If you could see any artist that’s no longer alive in concert, who would it be?
David Bowie and Type-O Negative. Also would have loved to see Static X with Wayne Static.
7. Have you met any musicians?
Yes! I've met quite a few! I've met Motionless In White I think four times now though.
8. What’s your go-to album when you’re feeling sad?
Literally any Brand New album sans Your Favorite Weapon
9. What’s your go-to album when you’re feeling happy?
I don't really have one, I just listen to whatever I'm in the mood for. It just tends to be more upbeat music.
10. What is one music documentary that you love?
The Decline Of Western Civilization series!
11. What is one concert DVD that you love?
Can't think of one tbh. I'm not a fan of watching (or listening) to live versions of things.
12. Do you prefer listening to playlists or albums?
Typically a playlist
13. Do you listen to albums in order or on shuffle?
In order for my first listen. If it's an album that requires it to be chronological I will continue to do so but if it doesn't then I won't. I tend to more often than not though just based solely on the fact you can't shuffle a record lmao.
14. What is your favorite deep cut song by your favorite artist?
Oh, this is hard. I've seen Brand New twice and each time I saw them I was crying when they played Degausser so probably that. Same Logic fuuucks me up though
15. What is your favorite CD/cassette/vinyl you own in terms of its packaging?
I love the packaging for Sgt. Pepper's and then I think the Creatures X: To The Grave is my favorite record in terms of the color.

Thanks so much for the music tag @professor-cold-ramen <3

Hey Bulldog by The Beatles
2. What is the first band you got into?
The Beatles.
3. Do you collect music on any physical format?
There is any other way? And yes I do, they're are mostly CDs because I enjoy the package of some of them but I also have a bunch of vinyls because there's no better sound.
4. What is your favorite piece of music-related memorabilia/merchandise?
Oh this is difficult alright alright.... That should be I mean I can do both, the memorabilia and the merchandise so for the memorabilia I will choose my two John Lennon's books, (In His Own Write and A Spaniard In The Works) they are both from 1964 and 1965. And for the merchandise I will choose.. fuck I have many... I will choose the one I like atm and that is my new Rory Gallagher T shirt.
5. What is your favorite concert you’ve been to?
Paul McCartney Fresh Up Tour 2018 here in Liverpool... that was the only one concert I attended.
6. If you could see one artist (or band) who is no longer alive in concert, who would it be?
I should say The Beatles but I will probably pass out and I will miss everything so instead I will choose to see Cozy (but I have more)
7. Have you met any musicians?
I met Pete Best, and the grandpas that played with John Lennon in the Quarrymen (Len, Colin and Rod) Earl Slick, Glenn Matlock, the ex drummer of Blondie and I think that's it.
8. What is your go-to song/album when feeling sad?
Song; Come Talk To Me by Peter Gabriel
Album: Over The Top by Cozy Powell
9. What is your go-to song/album when feeling happy?
Song: Can I Have My Money Back? By Gerry Rafferty
Album: Please Please Me By The Beatles
10. What is one music-related documentary you love?
I don't usually watch documentaries because they left you an empty feeling inside, no quite comfortable like the other existential emptiness that a movie can cause you. But I will choose Everyone Stares by Stewart Copeland
11. What is one concert DVD that you love?
JUST ONE?
Rainbow Live In Munich 1977. (But Peter Gabriel Live In Athens came off second) and the thing is that I have more djdjskd I can't choose one.
12. Do you prefer listening to playlists or full albums?
It really depends... I personally like full albums but when you're indecisive on what you want to listen the playlist are sometimes the big saviour, a bliss.
13. Do you tend to listen to albums in order or on shuffle?
Who the HELL puts an album on shuffle ???? Is like putting the CD and press any number and listen to it, a nightmare. I listen to them in order, they are in that order for, sometimes, a particular reason and sometimes not.
14. What is your favourite deep cut song by your favourite artist?
Revolution9OKAYNO... Mmmh, I mean my favourite artist is Cozy and fortunately for everyone all his songs were known and played so I will change the question and I will say my favourite deep cut song which is Pali Gap by Jimi Hendrix.
15. What is your favorite CD/vinyl/cassette that you own in terms of packaging?
I love them all really
