six sentence sunday-10.15
i’ve been working on quilting and reading a lot this week so only about 1k words :/ still some good shit here tho i think
i finished this super cute present quilt top and i’m waiting for the backing to come (and then i have to get binding fabric too 🙄)
and i’m gonna make a button down shirt hopefully start this week if i don’t get too lost in the sauce of making my first hexie quilt 👀
i got some muslin on fri after work so i want to get started on that soon bc the fabric for the real shirt is technically Halloween fabric but i think i can pull off chartreuse skulls year round 💁🏼‍♀️
We had stopped about halfway down the mountain to get fresh water at a stream we found that had less liquid than the average stream of piss. There were minnows in it. Lukas and I both caught as many as we could and shoved their wriggling bodies into our hot, dusty mouths. We swallowed them whole. It took the edge off our hunger. No one could be full in the Spider World-it wasn’t that kind of place.

LONG LIVE EVIL Cover Reveal
Tumblr media
This is the cover of LONG LIVE EVIL. So many thanks to my cover artist Syd Mills and my designer Ben Prior. The blend of gleeful irreverence and epic fantasy is so dear to me! I hope you like the cover. I hope even more that you enjoy the book…
A TALE FOR EVERYONE WHO’S EVER FALLEN FOR THE VILLAIN… When her whole life collapsed, Rae still had books. Dying, she seizes a second chance at living: a magical bargain that lets her enter the world of her favourite fantasy series. She wakes in a castle on the edge of a hellish chasm, in a kingdom on the brink of war. Home to dangerous monsters, scheming courtiers and her favourite fictional character: the Once and Forever Emperor. He’s impossibly alluring, as only fiction can be. And in this fantasy world, she discovers she's not the heroine, but the villainess in the Emperor's tale. So be it. The wicked are better dressed, with better one-liners, even if they're doomed to bad ends. She assembles the wildly disparate villains of the story under her evil leadership, plotting to change their fate. But as the body count rises and the Emperor's fury increases, it seems Rae and her allies may not survive to see the final page.
This adult epic fantasy debut from Sarah Rees Brennan puts the reader in the villain's shoes, for an adventure that is both 'brilliant' (Holly Black) and 'supremely satisfying' (Leigh Bardugo). Expect a rogue's gallery of villains including an axe wielding maid, a shining knight with dark moods, a homicidal bodyguard, and a playboy spymaster with a golden heart and a filthy reputation.
Preorder here (tales of goodness to come)!

It's the last day to preorder the Madness and Malice Zine!
So I thought I'd post a very short excerpt from my piece, called "Sunflower Eyes" (no I'm not doing this last minute because I nearly forgot, whatever do you mean). I felt these couple of paragraphs represented it well :)
She holds on tight as they walk up the staircase marked EXIT, where the white lights no longer line the ceiling and the tiles have a dirty yellow hue, and then down all the way to the door at the end of the hall—the one that is framed by the light seeping in from the other side. When they step outside, Nemu is so blinded that she closes her eyes. There is white—only white, everywhere. Everything is gone—the walls, the ceiling, even Akon next to her vanishes into the light. Then the brightness takes on colour. The tiles under their feet turn greyish. Little green sprouts poke from in between them. Up ahead, creamy walls rise from the floor, supporting bright orange roofs with clusters of leaves behind them waving in the summer wind. Last, as if lagging behind, the sky appears, its expanse taking on the dark blue hue of a cloudless twilight. And the first thing that comes to her mind is, It's the colour of Mayuri-sama's hair.
If interested, you can preorder the zine here.

FORGOTTEN LIVES: Graeme Harper
Tumblr media
Before we begin! Remember to get a copy of the Forgotten Lives Omnibus at this link! We're six Doctors in now, if you're interested, then preorder at the link before the end of August - that's only a few more days!
One Doctor is down for the day, we're onto the Doctor I shamelessly admit to find the most fascinating. By this point we've started in a supernatural world and taken a walk back into stories like we'd expect from Doctor Who, returning to sci-fi. Aditya Bidikar takes us back to the fantasy genre that the Barry Doctor started us in through more than just the setting, but through a Doctor that walks in the realm of fables and grandiose concepts... and comic books.
Graeme Harper (1945) is currently the one and only director for Modern and New Series Doctor Who. With his earliest credits being The Caves of Androzani and Revelation of the Daleks before returning for the RTD era for events like Rise of the Cybermen / The Age of Steel and The Stolen Earth / Journey's End, no doubt we're all familiar with their work in some way.
Aditya Bidikar brings a unique side of the Doctor out, I'd argue one of the more standout incarnations overall. While still noticeably and clearly the Doctor, there is a presence that I haven't seen since Sylvester McCoy's portrayal. The Harper Doctor very well may be the other side of the coin that McCoy portrayed - where one is a dark trickster in an unsuspecting from, the other is a wanderer in the unknown that marvels at every step. The pair are the only Doctors that I could picture being able to talk to higher concepts such as Death, which both incarnations prove to do.
While I've focused a lot on the main authors in these posts, I have to give great credit to Cody Schnell and their story - "Scene to Uncover" steps up to Bidikar's universe flawlessly, showing a moment we don't often get to see in Doctor Who while feeling right at home. They take full opportunity of the themes and fairy-tale like stories to paint their own fascinating glimpse of greater beings at work.
Even the TARDIS, designed as always by Paul Hanley, perfectly captures what this era could be. The darker blues and purples of the interior make it feel relaxed and cosy, while the library at the back could practically sum up this entire Doctor. Their adventures feel exactly like what "Forgotten Lives" should be, stories pulled off of a dusty shelf that haven't been read in so long that it's like you're experiencing them for the first time all over again.
Tumblr media
One interesting note of design involves the Doctor's ambiguous gender. There are multiple references throughout their era about how this Doctor must be a man because they've got a beard (which may not be entirely accurate). Apart from just adding some well needed variety to the Morbius lineup and unwittingly making Graeme Harper a gender non-conforming icon for the book, this feels very in line with what could've been done at the time. Considering the disgusting reaction that Jodie Whittaker's debut as the Doctor caused from certain corners of the internet, having a woman debut as the Doctor over sixty years ago could've led to an equally gross reaction. One way that it might've been worked around is by simply implying the Doctor had become a woman while presenting as a man, an implication carrying a hundred words and a dozen queer readings as a result (I personally love how older media would get around harsher reactions by simply implying what they wanted, so this detail grabbed my interest quick).
Graeme Harper was a fun roadbump when it came to the Morbius Doctors as his photos wasn't taken with everybody else, instead being retrieved from elsewhere. What went into designing this Doctor is too much for me to shorten and sum up in a single post - Paul Hanley managed to crack the long standing mystery of where Harper's Morbius photo originally came from and you can find that in his post detailing how he made the outfit. Of course, the outfit of this Doctor would've ended up quite different if they had used the one in the actual photo - an Adjudicator costume. So instead, Paul Hanley had the unique chance to design his own outfit befitting of this Doctor specifically. This, of course, leading to the ultimate addition to an outfit - a psychic beard.

For more insight into the creative process of every author that worked on Forgotten Lives, you can go to @forgottenlivesobverse and find interviews from everyone involved across the books. If you're looking for the incredible journey of finding an obscure photo of Graeme Harper, you can go to Paul Hanley's Patreon and find what went into designing each Doctor.
Prepare to watch the Doctor embrace the birth of the known universe and choose to go against Death itself in the following stories.
VALHALLA MUST FALL! by Aditya Bidikar
IN THE LAND BEYOND THE RIVER by Aditya Bidikar
RETROGENESIS (Part Six) by Philip Purser-Hallard
SCENE TO UNCOVER by Cody Schnell
Tumblr media
Our next Doctor will be Robert Holmes, with a series of stories that best shows how cruel the Time Lords can really be when they want to. Enjoy a darker period of the Doctor's life when we dive into this next time!

Audio ARC Review: Fourth Wing by Rebecca Yarros
Tumblr media
Order
Add to Goodreads
Publication Date: May 2, 2023
Synopsis:
Enter the brutal and elite world of a war college for dragon riders from USA Today bestselling author Rebecca Yarros Twenty-year-old Violet Sorrengail was supposed to enter the Scribe Quadrant, living a quiet life among books and history. Now, the commanding general—also known as her tough-as-talons mother—has ordered Violet to join the hundreds of candidates striving to become the elite of Navarre: dragon riders. But when you’re smaller than everyone else and your body is brittle, death is only a heartbeat away...because dragons don’t bond to “fragile” humans. They incinerate them. With fewer dragons willing to bond than cadets, most would kill Violet to better their own chances of success. The rest would kill her just for being her mother’s daughter—like Xaden Riorson, the most powerful and ruthless wingleader in the Riders Quadrant. She’ll need every edge her wits can give her just to see the next sunrise. Yet, with every day that passes, the war outside grows more deadly, the kingdom's protective wards are failing, and the death toll continues to rise. Even worse, Violet begins to suspect leadership is hiding a terrible secret. Friends, enemies, lovers. Everyone at Basgiath War College has an agenda—because once you enter, there are only two ways out: graduate or die.
My Rating: ★★★★★
*My Review below the cut.
My Review:
I LOVED this book. So much. I even preordered the audiobook after listening to only 30% of the audio arc. Because I knew I would love it and want to read it again. This is the brutal magic-school-that-is-trying-to-kill-you book of my dreams. The challenges and tests are trying to kill you. The entrance 'exam' is trying to kill you. The other students are trying to kill you. The dragons are trying to kill you (if you are found not worthy). But if you make it? You become a badass dragon rider. And then the plot thickens. And goes exactly where I hoped it would. I only guessed a tiny fraction of what happened - just enough to be very pleased with where everything went. I loved the characters. I loved violet, and how hard she worked to overcome her body's frailty (EDS, I'm guessing), and how sharp her mind was. I loved how Xaden insisted on calling her 'violence' from the beginning -- seriously, best nickname/pet name EVER. The love story was perfect. The brutality of the school and the students was perfect. The dragons were perfect. Just, chef's kiss, it was absolutely EVERYTHING I wanted, gimme the next one now. The audiobook was narrated brilliantly and I felt like I was right there for all of it. The characters had distinct voices and personalities that brought them to life, the intensity started high and only cranked higher as it went on, and Rebecca Soler's voice was pleasant to listen to. 10/10 100% recommend. Seriously, if you like brutal magic schools / dark academia / dragons? Read this now. *After some thought, I would like to recommend this to Sarah J. Maas fans. This (especially the romance) is what she was trying to do with ACOTAR, only so much better. Even if you don't like Sarah J. Maas (like me) I definitely recommend it. But also if you want that Feyre / Rhysand vibe without some of the more questionable aspects... this is it. *Thanks to NetGalley and Recorded Books for providing an early copy of the audio for review.

Carol and Spade stood side by side in the middle of the battle arena--Spade looked annoyed by this whole thing. Meanwhile, the feline was full a new bridled sense of determination. A new sense of ''i get to kick this guy's fucking ass again, thank the stones''.
The ''ever so glorious'' Mayor Zao was situated behind them, on a rising-out-of-the-floor pedestal.
Tumblr media
"Now, now, now, I know what you all must be thinking," his voice echoed throughout the entire arena--he probably has a headset mic on? "You're craving for more action and excitement, you're absolutely dying to get another chance to see your favorite wildcat in action!!!
Tumblr media
"Well have no fear, citizens!!! For we have a special event coming to you--the THRILLING CONCLUSION OF THE BATTLESPHERE BLITZ!!!!
Tumblr media
"A REMATCH OF UNTOLD PROPORTIONS! THESE GLORIOUS FIGHTERS WILL HAVE ONE MORE CHANCE TO CLAIM WHAT IS SO RIGHTFULLY THEIR'S.
"ONLY A LITTLE OVER A WEEK AWAY--DECEMBER 27TH! THIS IS WHEN EVERYTHING REACHES IT'S FINAL CONCLUSION!!!"
The lights went dark. Confused murmurs echoed through the Battlesphere.
A spotlight shined on Carol, who struck instinctively struck a pose--tapped her left foot on ground while her right foot stayed planted, her right hand was on her hip while her left hand made a peace sign near here face. As well, she winked at the camera.
"WILL IT BE OUR EVER SO GLORIOUS AND POPULAR CAROL? THE NEWEST, AND ARGUABLY MOST SKILLED BATTLSPHERE CHAMPION YET?!?!?!"
The spotlight dropped from the feline, and moved over to the scarfed thief, who simply held up a card and gave the camera a smug smirk.
"OR WILL IT BE OUR LATEST CHALLENGER, WHO GAVE CAROL SUCH A RUN FOR HER MONEY THAT I DARE SAY IT WAS ONE SIDED!"
She has half a mind to climb up there and kick him off his dirty pedestal.
Tumblr media
The spotlight shined on Zao last. "ONLY YOU CAN FIGURE IT OUT FOLKS, IF YOU COME BACK DECEMBER 27TH, FOR THE THRILLING CONCLUSION!!!"
The lights turned back on.
Tumblr media
"But for now, we here at the Battlesphere thank you for coming out to the event! And thank you to all of our wonderful wonderful viewers at home!!! We can't do amazing events like this without amazing people like you!!!
"Don't forget to buy our merchandise on your way out!!! If you preorder a Wildcat Plushie now, you'll get it GUARANTEED on the 27th!!! Be sure to stop by..."
The Mayor kept going and going and going on and on and on about every single little thing you could buy. At this point, the audience was starting to thin themselves out.
The show was over. There was nothing else to see.
And, since this was it, the feline would be making her exit as well.
Time to meet up with her friends and fucking relax, for stones sake.

So finally got my greebly little mitts on the Dead Space remake and oh hohoooo...
I am LOVING IT!
So, I fell in love with Dead Space when, after finding out about the pre-orderable special edition of Dead Space 2 at my local GameStop, I did preorder it for PS3 and bought a pre-owned copy of the first game.
I proceeded to play non-stop in a dark living room for SEVERAL HOURS. I am not generally a horror person, but Dead Space was(is) THAT. GOOD.
Now, with the remake... Oh my lawdy... So, they kept Isaac's VA, and Nicole's VA from Dead Space 2. I beliece one of the voices from the audio logs is also the same. And they actually based the character's face on their VAs, which is neat (though Nicole's first appearance she looked much older than her VA, but that might be down to my system and her first appearance being a grainy vid recording; the aged look is gone later on).
And Isaac TALKS! Like actual lines! Yhey took yhe bits where someone was kind of speaking for him and gave him LINES, and it makes him so much more REAL! And there are aide quests that show Nicole soing stuff (I just started Chapter 3 Course Correction), but...WOW. They took the OG, polished the ever-living out of it, then added some amazing new stuff and polished again!
The weapons! I only have the trusty Plasma Cutter (my beloved), thr pulse rifle (which is gained in a very new way), and the Ripper (a circular saw powered by magnets and SPITE) right now. But... Okay my cutter needs upgrading, but the pulse rifle is actually VIABLE??? And the Ripper, holy shit... Just let the necromorphs run into the floating blade for a few second and then launch it at them. XD
Also... Well, they definitely upped the gore, if only by adding more people to find right before their inexorable and gruesome ends. >.<
One other thing- you hear Isaac's heartbeat when his pulse starts to rise, and lemme tell you... That ratchets the tension almost as much as the musical stings.
Oh, and the necromorphs. The necromorphs. Those squishy, disgusting monstrosities. I have actually come across a few I thought were playing dead to ambush me, but were actually just...dead. And some that were not. But I do not discriminate, I just keep making Necromorph Soup... 🎶Necromorph Soup, it's a very simple recipe, just giblets🎶 - sorry, Miracle of Sound popped into my head there. XD But yea, some of the 'morphs will fake you out and bust vents but not come out of them. Inconsiderate buttheads.
I HAVE gotten jumpscared a couple times, but NOT by monsters. Just by loud, creepy environmental things. Like bysting pipes, or showers turning on abruptly and thrn turning off.
So, yea. Excellent remkae so far, cannot wait to dig in more later!

LOVE PARANORMAL WOMEN'S FICTION?
Keep reading for a sneak peek of Rise of the Crones by Lydia M. Hawke!!
If my return to the house had caused chaos, Odin’s invasion created sheer pandemonium.
He’d ridden his enormous black horse right through the front door and into the great hall, which felt significantly less great with a beast of that size dominating the space. Champing at the bit in its mouth, the horse pawed at the floor, striking sparks as iron shoes struck stone. Odin remained astride, looking down at the gathered company from his superior height—a calculated move on his part, I was sure.
On either side of him stood the two servants I’d met at his lodge, the Viking butler and the stout Thyra, both seeming unbothered by the enormous packs they carried on their backs.
And the pandemonium part? That came from a half dozen of Odin’s Valkyries tossing furniture around the sitting room, the dozen midwitches and Crones attempting to stop them, Keven storming down the hall from the kitchen, Bedivere’s wolf snarling as it blocked the foot of the stairs beside me, and Freya shrieking at her husband. I stared at the animated tableau before me in a kind of numb shock. Only a few hours before, I’d thought myself alone in the world, and I’d wanted nothing more than to have my friends back. My fellow Crones, Keven, the midwitches and my house. Even Bedivere. But now…
Now I was reminded that one should be careful what one wished for. Or at least be more specific about it.

NEW FROM FINISHING LINE PRESS: Wintering Over by Susannah Lee
On SALE now! Pre-order Price Guarantee: https://www.finishinglinepress.com/product/wintering-over-by-susannah-lee/
The #poems in Wintering Over—to take shelter through, and within, the dark of the year—wrestle with a sacred yearning to embrace the light in darkness. Poems in the book’s first half dwell with the interior lives of contemplatives the Arctic north. Others move from vastness to enclosure––a night swim in polar waters, an anchoress preparing for a special visitor, or a New England field teeming with quiet dramas of life and death. Everywhere in-between, the will to carry on, at times with only the smallest illumination, startles these poems into moments of uneasy revelation.
A native New Englander born in Boston, Susannah Lee has worked as a writer, editor, and independent producer for radio and film. She was a Fulbright Scholar to Portugal in Screenwriting. Her radio features have aired on the Christian Science Monitor Radio, NPR, WFCR, and Living on Earth. Her poems have appeared in Ploughshares, Seneca Review, Sonora Review, Nine Mile Magazine, The Woven Tale, Cloudbank, and others. In 2022, she was invited to join The Arctic Circle residency to sail the Svalbard Archipelago in the High Arctic North. She currently lives in rural western Massachusetts.
PRAISE FOR Wintering Over by Susannah Lee
To read Wintering Over is, in part, to eavesdrop on the interior voices of contemplatives who speak of what’s singular and sacred: small joys, doubts, daily or seasonal tasks, and the experience of living through the cold dark waiting for light’s benediction. Labor is hard, joys are deep though sometimes fleeting; difficulties may be eased by simple attention, by being “schooled by lichen to seek light in the most meager of places.” In Wintering Over, the Arctic and the vast natural world are a holy presence of which Susannah Lee writes with exquisite and sustaining intricacy (though her humor is discreet and may sneak up on the reader.) This is a taut, particularly beautiful and unique array of poems.
–Jody (Pamela) Stewart, author of This Momentary World, Selected Poems
In Susannah Lee’s Wintering Over, nine Carmelite sisters sail across the North Sea to Norway, to “the fjords who are my cousins.” Facing the “tumbled doing and undoing of tides,” the narrator “sang to the cauled wake behind us, cradling the weight of afterlife.” The canonical hours frame the nuns’ work and prayer: their “cloistered lives lived in a fierce climate” rise out of the page until we enter its three-dimensional space.
Lee plunges us into an arctic winter with “the ice-pilling wool of cloak, waistband, and failure,” where “the hunger moon is brittle.” Throughout the book, darkness, too, is alive. “Night has rolled down on night”; “the moonless moon has turned to embrace the dark” or wanes away into a “slivered moon gone dark.” The nun’s faith, infused with the natural world, takes on a sort of animism. And this world’s beauty also moves another speaker (later in the book and living in a temperate climate) to rejoice in birds who soar in “forked flight”, a world where a “great blue heron carries the air.”
I know of no recent poetry collection that matches Wintering Over for lyricism.
–Deborah Warren, author most recently of Connoisseurs of Worms and Strange to Say: Etymology for Serious Entertainment

I am the mother of all the supernatural. Your fantasies of dark witches wielding power, vampires shimmering with unholy energy, shapeshifters morphing into dangerous beasts, and warriors ready for war all come alive through me. I am the creator of nightmares and dreams. Unleash your imagination and feast your eyes on a world of pure magic. In 537 A.D., a fierce struggle took place that would decide the world's future. The victor wields the ability to alter the future of humanity. Rising from the ashes, The Raven Society was formed to guard and maintain the purity of history. Their mission? To find the inconsistencies in history and protect the ones whose stories have been forgotten. Rising from the ruins, three women, whose lives have spanned the ages, are united by an invisible thread woven by the Fates. Their mission? To safeguard a weapon feared by the gods themselves. In order to find the missing Books of the Veiled, they will have to build new bonds, confront their demons and unearth a new reality. Failure is not an option. Their lives depend on it.

The Fall of Númenor: and Other Tales from the Second Age of Middle-earth J R R Tolkien illustrated by Alan Lee (1st Edition) It finally arrived. Well, this one did. The first attempt was yesterday but I had to return that one as the cover was torn. This is the replacement. Another preorder. A bumper month for cool fantasy book releases. J.R.R. Tolkien’s writings on the Second Age of Middle-earth, collected for the first time in one volume. J.R.R. Tolkien famously described the Second Age of Middle-earth as a ‘dark age, and not very much of its history is (or need be) told’. And for many years readers would need to be content with the tantalizing glimpses of it found within the pages of The Lord of the Rings and its appendices, including the forging of the Rings of Power, the building of the Barad-dûr and the rise of Sauron. It was not until Christopher Tolkien published The Silmarillion after his father’s death that a fuller story could be told. Although much of the book’s content concerned the First Age of Middle-earth, there were at its close two key works that revealed the tumultuous events concerning the rise and fall of the island of Númenor. Raised out of the Great Sea and gifted to the Men of Middle-earth as a reward for aiding the angelic Valar and the Elves in the defeat and capture of the Dark Lord Morgoth, the kingdom became a seat of influence and wealth; but as the Númenóreans’ power increased, the seed of their downfall would inevitably be sown, culminating in the Last Alliance of Elves and Men. Now, adhering to the timeline of ‘The Tale of Years’ in the appendices to The Lord of the Rings, editor Brian Sibley has assembled into one comprehensive volume a new chronicle of the Second Age of Middle-earth, told substantially in the words of J.R.R. Tolkien from the various published texts, with new illustrations in watercolour and pencil by the doyen of Tolkien art, Alan Lee. #jrrtolkien #thefallofnúmenor #alanlee #middleearth #book #greatreads #reading #author #books #booknerd #booklover #bookcommunity #bookaddict #booksbooksbooks #positivevibes #bookvibes #readingvibes #foodforthebrain #positivewaves #metalhobbit (at Birmingham, United Kingdom) https://www.instagram.com/p/Ck1FlBtoNMK/?igshid=NGJjMDIxMWI=

Cover Reveal - The Legend of Charlie Fish
I am very pleased to offer my readers the cover reveal for The Legend of Charlie Fish — the forthcoming new novel from Josh Rountree. Why am I sharing it? Because it is a fantastic novel that will appeal to fans of my work, as well. Indeed, my official blurb says it is: “A fantastic work of dark historical fiction, in the spirit of Lansdale, Gorman, Pronzini, and McMurty.”
The Legend of Charlie Fish will be available in July of next year from Tachyon Publications. The paperback is available for preorder here.
But let’s hear what others have to say and take a look at he cover.
“Odd, creepy, funny, The Black Lagoon meets the Six Gun universe. High up on the way-cool factor. You need this.” —Joe R. Lansdale, Edgar Award–winning author of the Hap and Leonard series
Josh Rountree’s (Fantastic Americana) powerful debut Western novel wades into the literary waters of True Grit and Lonesome Dove by way of The Shape of Water. This story of turn-of-the-20th-century Texas pits an unlikely found family, including a strange gill-man, against relentless bounty hunters—all set against the worst natural disaster in U.S. history.
After burying his father, Floyd Betts is returning to Galveston, Texas. He is not alone in his journey, riding out of town with two orphaned siblings he has rescued. Descended from a long line of witches, Nellie struggles with visions from other people’s minds. Her impulsive younger brother Hank just wants to break out his oversized revolver.
On the way to Galveston, Floyd, Nellie, and Hank rescue a lost, two-legged amphibian, Charlie Fish. But dangerous men, who want to profit from the spectacle of Charlie, are hot on their trail.
As Nellie forms a strong psychic bond with Charlie, Floyd, still grieving, is struggling to protect this strange new family. Ominous winds are picking up from an impending hurricane. Meanwhile, all Charlie wants is to return to his home at sea.
With the taut intensity of an impending storm, Josh Rountree has created a unique Western, neo-gothic novel that demonstrates exactly why he is a rising star of American fiction.
Again, The Legend of Charlie Fish will be available in July of next year from Tachyon Publications. The paperback is available for preorder here. I highly recommend it!
