Aquarius Full Moon PAC - General Messages 🖤💗❤️
The full moon in Aquarius is finally here! I hope you're getting the chance to enjoy some sunshine in between these bright moonlit evenings. I sure have had my fill from this last weekend; I got the royal sunburn to prove it! Owo#
(Life lesson: apply sunscreen, then do it AGAIN.)
Aren't you glad we can't get moonburns? One could get burned sitting on the moon, sure, but it's kinder than to send that kind of energy back down to Earth. The moon allows us to see the sun's light without dying, which I can appreciate. But I'm going off on a tangent! Below are three images based on color palette cards I've picked for your reading. I've also added some emoji hearts for additional guidance. Please time all the time you need to select your pile when you're ready.

Pile 1. Tahoe Blue + Black Heart
X Wheel of Fortune, 7 of Pentacles, XXI World; Sun - Source, Space (Black), New Moon Gemini - Communication is Key
"I'm curious about my true nature; I seek to understand myself."
I feel such stillness and calm with this pile. You have so much blue present in your pile asides from the palette card! And watery energy too; your moon quote card has a lake on it too! Still yet deep. I'm hearing that this pile is getting a big upgrade to your throat energy. It's for both ways, listening and speaking, but I think speaking is being highlighted here more. This is in order to help you move through a bigger phase of your life that's yet to come. You may be feeling like you're ready to come out of your shell, even if just for a short while. There's a sense of grand change occurring in your external world, something that has been in the background or in the works for a long time has finally begun to culminate during this potent full moon time.
You have have recently closed a big chapter in your life and cleared out the muck. Now it's like you're standing before a canvas and you're ready to paint something new. The lunar force moving now allows a turn of luck to flow towards you like a water wheel. It's also purifying your intentions. When you have the place to be still and concentrate on where you want to go next, things can really quickly line up in your favor. With this extra space, whatever that has been building in the background may finally come out and be seen and heard. There's no resistance to this buildup, or there was resistance but it's been removed through this clearing out. You're being asked to savor this brief time. Not just make use of it, because in a way it's growing on its own, but to actually enjoy where you are right now. To get into the mindset of the person on the 7 pentacles card harvesting their abundance, that all is working out at a good pace.
You're being recommended to journal or write during this phase, perhaps like paragraphs of where you're going next (like a vaunt). I'm also getting vision boards for you would help if you need inspiration, or lyrical songs. I'm getting that communications will help you move into the next stage. This whole reading reminds me of someone who's finally finished the manuscript of their book and is sitting in that serenity of having completed something important. But, dear, that's not the end of it! You still need to bring it out into the world for it to be as evident as you see it in your mind. You still would need to get an agent and submit the manuscript to publishers for review.
Communication is being highlighted here as being that which you need in order to move along. Furthermore, you're being asked to tune into yourself for answers on where you'd like to go next, as no one else can tell you. People don't just go out on the lake for peace and quiet, they go to find a piece of themselves and to tune into that for spiritual guidance. May the boat be your lucky charm this full moon, pile 1. Not just to find yourself on the open water, but to connect you with other shores as well.

Pile 2. Sunflower Seed + Pink Heart
Queen of Cups, Queen of Swords, 4 of Cups; Vesta - Hearth, Love (Pink); Full Moon Virgo - You Are Good Enough
"Beauty raises my vibration; I seek it for joy."
For the rest of this month, you are focusing solely on your own needs. Like it or not! [blows coach whistle] But no, seriously, I'm not getting busybee vibes from this pile, I'm getting "poor dehydrated bee that's fainted on a flower" kind of feel. Maybe you're actually dehydrated and tired! This could also be true for your garden if you have one. You may need extra TLC around this full moon. You've been stretching yourself too thin but you'll be in much-deserved receiving mode in order to heal. I like that two Queens showed up and one of them is of Swords. She knows better than to spend her precious time worrying over the trifling things. She knows when to disconnect and tune into what's important. And Queen of Cups says that important thing is your own emotional wellbeing and comfort.
Your quote card features a person standing at the peak of a mountain with arms stretched out towards the moon in accomplishment. You either are or have been working intensely on something for the last few months. It either has or will soon come to a full head and with that comes a surge of expended energy. Similar to midterms or the week before a holiday when the workflow doubles. It's a crunch time! Since it's summer and you may not be in midterms or busy on vacation, this could be a reference for later this year or fiscal quarter. Take care that this busy time coming up isn't going to drain you.
You could have opportunities come up near the middle of autumn that's gonna want your attention. You'll want to be fully hydrated and refreshed for when it finally shows up. The 4 of cups can sometimes be about blind spots, or the blessings we don't see readily available because we're too tired and burnt out to really see what's there. It's highlighting this opportunity and wants you to make the most of it.
You could be feeling a strong pull to stay at home and focus on your craft, project, or hobby. Perhaps you're busy squeezing out the most free time you can while you have it. Again, avoid the sense of pushing like "oh man, I only have a week of summer vacation left oh geez what do I do?!" It's not a matter of sitting around and doing nothing all vacation only to hurt ourselves trying to be On 24/7 for a semester. That's not sustainable. Make the most out of your time, but make sure you have time carved out in between the high energy weeks of being productive. A sunflower without water can't stand and a bee without rest can't fly!

Pile 3. Clover Patch + Red Heart
XVII Star, XVI Tower, XV Devil; Progressions - Journey, Anger (Red), Waxing Crescent - Have Faith in Your Dream
"I gather more wisdom each day."
This pile … hoo boy. This would be my pile if I had to choose one, so I'm with y'all on this. Okay, I got the instant message that you are trying to manifest something very VERY big right now. I mean big like new car, apartment, longterm relationship, just something that's gonna upgrade and transform your life in a big way. It could even be education as one of the cards has a book in center. The thing is, Rome wasn't built in a day. Neither is your manifestation gonna instantly appear when you're desperately trying for it to cause desperation doesn't usually bring positive outcomes, it usually winds up with Fun With Dick and Jane type scenarios to play out. Also stress.
You have three major arcana cards in a row, with the tower card smacked right in the middle like a spicy sandwich cookie (would I even try one?) So I get it. This is likely a very significant full moon for you, supercharged as it's an Aquarian supermoon, and you got Aquarian Star as your first card, so emotions will be running a bit hot. Unpredictable swings. Sudden "bursts". But don't suppress your feelings of frustration, you'll just need to redirect these emotions differently.
You gotta be patient and watch it unfold organically. Even if you're manifesting the demolition of something, there is strategy to it. Demolition workers don't just go in and do what they please, they have to be mindful of their surroundings and what impact they'll make when they make it. When gardeners prune, they're mindful of the angle of the cut, knowing that the right cut can grow just as the wrong cut can infect. Let things go as they may. Things can start moving smoothly or quite abruptly, so focus from a place of expecting that it's already coming and strategize from there. You got the Star card, so something fortunate is indeed coming for you. There is a little Leprechaun luck on your side. It'll be easier to see that once you're able to move past old blockages that are delaying your manifestation. Listen to the leprechaun and not the little voice on the other shoulder telling you that you need to panic over the small things.
See the current time you have as a manifestation in itself, as a product of you believing that you need extra time to cook up the right end goal. See this time you have as a blessing, not just an in-between state. Make good use of this time. There is no reason why the process can't be as fun as the destination. Your inner child is being subtly asked to come out to play for a spell. This pile may be into doing witchcraft spells; if so, grab a little glitter and sprinkle some magic into your day, especially a time-based spell like a growing plant or burning a candle. If anything, it will boost morale which is often more important for manifestation than simply applying routine and logic to everything. I'm also getting that journaling may be of interest to you, whether it's writing down meditation notes or affirmations or just venting. Get creative even and write a poem about your wishes. Try to incorporate more writing in general into your moon magic. (Thoth would be pleased.)

Chapter vi: Absence
Pairing: Inuokku/ F! Reader
Summary: the loss of someone in your life can be hard to navigate around, even more so when a relationship had only recently blossomed.
Length: 3.09k
A/N: hey y’all, i know it’s been a long time since i posted and that partially because things kept on popping up and i kinda forgot this fic even existed lol. I’m really sorry guys, I know it’s a short chapter, but i’ve had a lot of stuff going on this week and was unable to really sit down and write. Luckily my finals are now officially over, so i’ll have more time to write. I’m currently writing the next chapter, so that’ll be out sooner rather than later—if I remember to post lol. also the start is kinda weird and repetitive, i didn’t really know how to start it and i felt bad for making y’all wait this long
Ma Cherie Masterlist
While it’s only been three months out of the eight scheduled months of Yuta’s time abroad, Toge is going insane. He misses Yuta’s warmth, his reassurance, love, and his ability to understand (Y/n) in ways that he is unable to — even after all these years. The two still text and FaceTime regularly, but it’s not the same. (Y/n) helps to ease the pain, but their relationship had been so new when he left, it pains them both. In the days before Yuta left, (Y/n) scheduled them full of random date ideas, but this did nothing to slow the flow of tears at the airport as Yuta left for Africa with Miguel.
(Y/n), like her beloved, is losing her sanity. Don’t get her wrong, she loves Toge — she would’ve figured a way around the marriage if this wasn’t the case — but Yuta’s a breath of fresh air. A breath the young couple both desired and consumed to the fullest.
The dynamic between the two hadn’t necessarily been awkward once Yuta left, but after spending nearly every waking moment with someone, the relationship molds itself to have the other in it all the time. Yuta leaving made them reform their relationship for the fifth time. At first it had been (Y/n)andtoge and yuta, then it became (Y/n)andtogeandyuta. It was still the three of them, but with newfound distance they had been unprepared for.
One of the ways the trio compromised with the thousands of miles of useless space was many calls, texts, photos, and videos. This led to (Y/n) ‘asking’ her adoptive dad to upgrade her phone plan to accommodate the plethora of content growing in her phone.
“Toru-nii, I changed my storage plan. I got 2TB.”
“What?”
“It’s an extra forty dollars, so just a warning.”
“… Okay?”
“You’re paying for it.”
“When am I not paying for something?”
“ ‘Kay, thanks!”
With the accompanying spare time of one less person to be with, (Y/n) has been filling her days evolving her cursed technique, working on her friendship with her older brother, preparing Megumi for the dorms-
“I’m an empty nester!”
“You’re literally my teacher.”
“(Y/n)-Chan and Megumi-Chan are abandoning me!”
“We’re still seeing you everyday, Toru-nii.”
“Oh, I can still hear their voices haunting me. Dear Fates, what have I done to have been handed such a cruel deal in life?” (This can be applied to many situations in JJK, and frankly, it hurts).
Megumi grumbled before shuffling towards his warden, who’s on his knees in fake hysterics, and placed a gentle hand on Gojo’s head. No infinity stopping him. (Y/n) smiled softly and walked over to her small family. She wrapped her arms around her boys tightly.
-which has been fun. He got a room the hall over from his adoring, darling, dearest sister. However, this does little to thwart (Y/n) appearing at random. She felt it was her sisterly duty to materialize from thin air and either claim a spot in his room and play with his shikigami or would request his assistance.
Toge and (Y/n) had more time together than they’ve had in a while, but that did little to squash the ache in their chest for the absence of Yuta. Their beds were bigger and colder. Their rooms were more barren, and their days more boring. There wasn’t anyone else besides the two of them for a long time then they found another, only for them to leave and it hurt far more than they anticipated.
Toge and (Y/n) had been togeand(Y/n) for as long as they could remember; promised to each other at the ripe ages of three and four. Even though they never considered an addition to their love, Yuta wormed his way into their hearts and lives before leaving soon after. They didn’t know what to do, they didn’t know how to function.
Yuta wasn’t there to hang out with Megumi and make (Y/n)’s heart soar beyond belief. Yuta wasn’t there to get the things that the two of them couldn’t reach because they were both fairly short. Yuta wasn’t there to help ease the pain of Toge’s sore throat. Yuta wasn’t there to help on the days where (Y/n) could hardly get out of bed, so wracked with guilt and despair that the very thought of leaving the world hidden away beneath her covers was impossible.
Some times (Y/n)’s glad that he isn’t there, to be honest. She already feels bad enough that everyone has to see her on the days where everything is too much and she just wants to fade from this life and wait for the next one. After Yuta left, it got too much to handle. One less person to distract herself by giving every possible ounce of affection and adoration she could. (Y/n) tried to keep it to herself and deal with it in the early hours of the morning and the late hours of the night, but this did little to stop her melt down.
She became erratic during training, sloppy running drills, and has less self preservation. (Y/n) didn’t mean for any of this to happen, at least she doesn’t think so. She doesn’t want to die. She wants to grow all gross and wrinkly with her friends, family and lovers. She really does. However, in the hours where everything is still, in the hours where she has time to feel and remember, she can’t help but hurt.
—————
One day on a job with Noritoshi, everything came to a head. She lost control for the first time in a very long time. Her older brother, who had never seen this happen, did the only thing he could and called his teacher. Utahime arrived to see the siblings covered in blood, all the curses had been slaughtered and laid dismembered around them. Noritoshi held his little sister as tightly as he could as she sat quietly. Utahime, who also had never seen the girl like this, did the only thing she could and called Gojo.
“Ah Utahime, to what do I owe the pleasure-“
“Kamo-san, she’s… she’s…” The rustling of fabric and small voices in protests could be heard on the other end.
“What about my daughter? Did she get hurt under your watch? Where are you?” Gojo’s voice becoming that of a stern one laced with desperation gave Utahime whiplash.
“She’s not hurt, in fact I don’t think anything even touched her-”
“Spit it out.”
“She’s dripping in blood and there’s carcasses scattered everywhere, Gojo. Is there something I need to know?”
“I will be there soon. Call me again if there are any spikes in cursed energy.” Before Utahime could respond, the line clicked and an annoying jingle could be heard. The teacher and student watched as (Y/n) slowly blinked and reached into her skirt pocket, pulling out her phone.
Obviously it’s the one that came out just a few days ago, only the best for Gojo’s little girl.
“Dad.” The two strained their ears to hear the other end of the conversation, the girl rarely refers to Gojo as her dad around others.
“No, I’m not hurt.”
“No, it’s not my blood.”
“Yes, I’m with Nori-nii now.”
“I’ll see you soon.” Utahime wondered just how often this child has seen tragedy befall others for her to still be able to converse while being so clearly not okay. It’s a thought that made her uncomfortable, so she removed it from her mind to contemplate at a later date.
Like so many others.
Gojo arrived soon after and strode straight towards (Y/n). Noritoshi hesitantly handed her to him. Gojo pulls her taught to his chest and cradles her as he used to when they were younger. A time that felt so long ago. (Y/n) curled her hand into his clothes and cried. This made even more weight fall heavily on Satoru’s heart.
((Y/n) is a girl who cries often, this is true. She cries when: she watches a sad movie or show, when she reads a sad book, when she sees something adorable, when she’s angry, when she laughs hard enough, when she’s on her period, and occasionally when she shits. Despite this, she doesn’t typically cry when others think she should. (Y/n) has days where most can predict her tears, and most of the time they’re correct, but those are only a handful of days. Her family and friends have familiarized themselves with these dates and plan everything they can around it. She cries on her birthday, Christmas Eve, mid November, and her fallen loved one’s death days. Unfortunately, (Y/n) will soon not know life without tear stained cheeks and red eyes. She will survive, for better or for worse we do not know, but not without a trail of immense pain that will try to drown her at every turn).
“My sweet, baby girl. You’re safe. I’m here,” he murmurs softly for (Y/n)’s ears only. However, the silence that surrounds them allows the others to hear. Noritoshi feels slightly envious that (Y/n)’s father is so warm. He quickly banishes the thought, remembering some of the things she has had to endure to get the loving family she so rightfully deserves.
Satoru slowly turned and began to walk, not before turning back into his ‘strongest’ facade and looking at the other two.
“I don’t need to worry about a report on this.” This is not a question, nor is it a request. He stated it as an absolute, an indisputable fact such as the sky being blue or him being able to kill them without so much as lifting an arm. Utahime nodded quickly, so Noritoshi followed suit.
The father and daughter make their exit, letting Utahime finally ask questions.
“(Y/n) is in so much pain and I don’t think I will ever know just how deeply she has been hurting.”
This was the only information Noritoshi was willing to divulge to his elder. Utahime pats her student on the back, sighing, before getting back up.
“We will not breathe a word of this to anyone, not even your classmates or your father. Do you understand?” Noritoshi nodded his head.
“Yes, sensei.”
(Y/n) had spent the remainder of the day at home, in the luxurious penthouse Gojo had bought for their growing family. Her room, like the one at school, is covered with many different things. The only difference is that these things are far more personal and bittersweet than the ones at her dorm. Mementos of special occasions and intimate reminders of those she lost. It even smells of the past, of a time where all she knew was her mothers death, Suguru’s downfall, and the warmth of those close to her.
Rumor has it that Miguel spent hours either restraining or pleading Yuta to stay with him in Africa rather than be at his girlfriend's side. Toge is the person who ultimately convinced him to not come home. As much as he wanted him to, it would have only led to an extension of his time abroad.
———————
It’s not a very apparent thing, her pain. Only to those who know her well enough. So when she, and the rest of her classmates, gets summoned away for a mission and leaves her brother on his own, she’s fine. However, when she gets a call where all she can hear is her little brother wracked with sobs, she is far from okay. Her first thought is that Satoru is dead, which is quickly proven wrong when Ijichi pulls up with a message from him. She rushes to pile her necessities from the hotel which they were staying at and hurriedly gives her friends a goodbye and Toge a kiss on the cheek. Maki wouldn’t let her leave until she promised to give her a text when she got back to school and another text later that night.
Megumi, to put it gently, is a complete and utter wreck. He has snot dripping down his nose onto, and most likely into, his mouth. His eyes are puffy and his soft, porcelain skin has become red. (Y/n) desperately wants to whip out her phone and take a picture in order to blackmail him at a later date, but her first priority is to make sure her brother is okay, which he clearly isn’t.
“ ‘Gumi-” He practically launches himself through the air and into his big sister’s arms, seeking any comfort he can.
“He-he’s gone, nee-san! He’s gone!” (Y/n)’s brows furrow. “Who’s gone, ‘gumi?”
“Itadori!” (Y/n)’s eyes widen slightly, she has heard of the boy and how remarkable he is from her dad and brother. She didn’t think that Sukuna would have let his vessel die so soon, but she pushes the logic away from her mind for the moment. Megumi comes first, all else comes second.
“Oh, ‘gumi.” Megumi’s voice cracks repeatedly as his cries become louder. They might have only known each other for a small period of time, but Itadori clearly made a long lasting impression on her brother.
“He left me, (Y/n)!” (Y/n)'s heart aches with the remnants of her brother’s. She cradles him in her arms through the tears, even when he tires himself out from crying. Satoru arrives later in the night, noticeably distraught. He watches silently from the entrance of the room as (Y/n) and Megumi curl tightly around each other in his room. Satoru gently closes the door behind him and slips off his shoes, moving quietly towards the bed, wiggling his way behind his kids. He moves them closer to him and holds them tightly to his body.
The next day, after a little bit more crying, (Y/n) is introduced to Kugisaki Nobara, a sweet, headstrong girl. The two get along splendidly and the older of the two listens dutifully as Nobara speaks of Itadori. Even though she calls him an idiot, moron, and dumbass, (Y/n) knows that his death has rocked her deeply.
Later she questions Satoru about the incident, and his answers are vague at best.
“You’ll be very upset with me when you find out the truth.” (Y/n) sighs before placing a hand on his arm.
“You’re our dad, so I trust you blindly, but please think of Megumi in your choices.” Satoru has a solemn look on his face when she says this.
“I’m doing the smartest thing I can, I’m trying to keep everyone safe.” (Y/n) hums softly.
“So he is alive?” Satoru looks at his daughter, a slight twitch in his expression is all it takes for (Y/n) to know she’s correct. Sometimes Satoru can forget just how brilliant his daughter is.
“If you think it’s best to keep it quiet, I’ll follow your lead, but if I find out otherwise I’m telling them.” He nods. “I’d expect nothing less.”
Two days later, The other second years make the journey home while (Y/n) is in a meeting with the higher ups. An awful, boring, useless meeting. They desire to make  her feel small and worthless, and above all else try to make her feel weak and (Y/n) hates feeling weak. She knows full well she can kill them. She knows her place above them, Satoru and Suguru had made sure of it, but that does little to help her when all they do is berate her and piss her off.
“For the last time, I don’t know anything about the circumstances of Itadori Yuji’s death, I can only assume it was during a mission. No, I have never met him. All second years have been on a mission for the past couple of weeks. Yes, I arrived home earlier than my peers to comfort Fushiguro after receiving news of his state. Should I find out that you had a hand in the death of an innocent child and our only way of stopping Sukuna, I will gladly let you know of my stance on the matter. However, I can save you the time and remind you who raised me. Now, I excuse myself from this unnecessary meeting.” Gojo is, of course, right outside the door when she steps out.
“That’s my girl.” (Y/n) smiles at him and walks with him to the car. The two play hand games in the back seat and make their way towards the school. When (Y/n) steps out of the car, she looks at Gojo to follow, but he doesn’t exit.
“I have a job, but I’ll come see you when I’m done. Keep an eye on Megumi?” (Y/n) frowns, but nods nonetheless. “Of course.”
She closes the car door with a slightly harder than necessary shove and walks up the stairs towards the entrance of the school.
“Wait… someone did die?” (Y/n) immediately recognizes her best friend's voice and hurriedly walks over.
“I told you in my text, or did you not read it?” Maki looks over her shoulder and rests her arm on (Y/n). “I skimmed it.” (Y/n) scoffs, “Rude.” Maki shoves her playfully.
“Kam-“
“(Y/n)”
“(Y/n)-san, are you friends with this girl?” (Y/n) looks at Nobara and nods.
“They’re my classmates. Don’t mind Maki, she didn’t mean to appear insensitive. Well at least, I don’t think she meant to.” Maki swats at the girl. She feels her fiancé’s hand intertwining itself with her own and she can’t help but smile. Nobara clearly sees this exchange due to the now grossed out expression on her face. (Y/n) just smiles sweetly at her and can hear Megumi gag faintly. She subtly sticks her tongue at the demon spawn.
In the future, (Y/n) will look back on this memory with fondness. In the future she will weep at the thought of how her brother once was and the fading remnants of Megumi in her mind. She will mourn her short lived friends, the impact they had on her with the small amount of time she had with them. She will think of the plethora of ‘what ifs’ that continuously plague her mind. (Y/n) will remember the final moments of her childhood and innocence with that lingering bitterness that follows nostalgia.
In the future (Y/n) will have one single wish of having that Time Turner from Harry Potter her Suguru would read to her as a small child.
______
Tysm for reading and i hoped you liked it! The next chapter, phosphenes, will be posted eventually. As always, this is crossposted on ao3 and nothing else. Please let me know if y’all find this somewhere else!

Dimension Dyfenders Update!! (9/20/23)
Tumblr media
HEY, HEY, it's September! You know what that means! (read the above)
Hello D.D fandom, hello followers, mutuals, friends and hello people who curiously stumbled upon this post. You all know who i am, but for those who don't, let me introduce myself. My name's Comet. I'm the co-creator and main artist in the indie webcomic series Dimension Dyfenders! As of right now, i'm attending art school and trying my best to work more on the webcomic while also attending on my studies and get better grades. Now, you might ask, "Comet, what's going on with this series now?", "Why haven't been there more pocket adventures minisode 1 parts lately?" Well, i got the answers right here! First of all, let's start with the most obvious one... The Pocket Adventures situation.
Now, Pocket Adventures hasnt been online as of late, no next parts were being published, and im very sorry for that. The cause for it is the loss of motivation i had, which made me not work on it for a long while. Even when making new panels i feel extremely tired. Feeling like i should do something else (heck, i feel insecure about its panels when i draw them!) But fret not, that doesn't mean Pocket Adventures is getting cancelled. We still have loads of plans on the table and we can't wait to roll them out. But for now, we're taking a break due to IRL situations for example, art school. We, the team, have lives outside of making d.d content. We need to get our degrees and, well, try to survive life. But no worries, because I got plans to get back on D.D P.A Minisode 1 and finish it completely once winter break hits. As long as my motivation gets out of its hibernation phase. But still, i can't wait for you all to see the conclusion to minisode 1. (I just hope you dont mind if i jump right into the 'new designs' in the next pages)
Speaking of minisodes, I've been thinking of releasing minisodes only once a year than every saturday. Though this decision is not final yet. I don't want clout, in fact, i just wanna do what I love. Create stories and comics for everybody to enjoy. But if you guys would love for a minisode to release once a year or once in 3 months, let me know your opinions! Your criticism helps this series, especially its production, grow better!
Now, for the second and final question you may have asked… Thing is, Nothing has changed! But well, if you know me on my social media for my recent Crash Bandicoot fanart, then you might notice that Crash 4: It's About Time, especially it's artbook (and concept art by Nicola Saviori)... Has affected my artstyle, DRASTICALLY. So. The characters, of course, have went through some changes. I'd like to call this new artstyle... "The TFB Effect". As a matter of fact, Dimension Dyfenders (both its miniseries and full series) is going to have a brand new, more cartoony, zanier than ever artstyle! Don't believe me? See for yourselves. Starting with the main ones!
Tumblr media Tumblr media
I decided to add a little bit of the good ol' Squash and Stretch to the characters to make them stand out more in the next comics. So of course, some of the colors have changed, especially designs and bodytypes. Oh, and not just that, our heroes have some new stuff, too! For example: Knockout's Dyfender Element is now refered as "Quantum Strenght", Paintdrop's is called "Cosmic Creativity" and Speedrunner's is called "Light Speed". Neat upgrades, eh? (Still, criticism is accepted.) Anyway, notice that in the first picture above there's something that says: "Dyfender Mode", right? Well, if you see that, that's because we are introducing something brand new to our heroes. Called: Omni-modes.
Now, "what are Omni-modes?", you may ask? Well, Omni-modes are modes that are set on the Dyfenders' Dy-watches, you may see that the Omni-Modes are, of course, the Dyfenders' alternate hero forms, to help them take on a mission in a different, more suitable form. When the day needs to be saved during night time (and rarely past bedtime), they activate Night Mode. For sunny beach days but still wanting to make sure nobody figures out their secret identities, Acqua Mode will be at their service. There are tons of different Omni-Modes to be shown (Especially, Pride mode, which was shown on this year's pride post.) So, yeah. Omni-modes will be shown in both the miniseries AND the full series!
Oh! And refering to characters, we can't forget about our main bad guys! Oh, you know, the Dajo-Crew? They got a bit of a make over to fit to the current artstyle! (ft. the updated height chart):
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Now that we got that out of the way. let's just head over what will the future of the series look like as of right now. Starting off with the full series and pocket adventures. As said before, Dimension Dyfenders' artstyle changed. But that doesn't mean everything changed, things may be different (the more cartoony artstyle and the sillier tone), but nothing about the series has changed! And that means..
MORE POCKET ADVENTURES IS HAPPENING, THAT'S RIGHT! MORE D.D CONTENT COMING THIS WAY!
As for right now, D.D Minisode 1 may still be in development as we speak, but one thing that's completed right now is the script! Now that its finally finished, all thats left, is the panel and comic page-making (hopefully you wont mind the sudden character design changes, though.)! But in the meantime! We got some sneak peaks for not just one of the panels from the next minisode 1 pages, but also a never-seen before panel from the next minisodes of pocket adventures! (notice: some of these are not final and may change in the final product.)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
That's not all! this franchise has got some new stuff coming in during it's run. We got so many plans, but this is the only thing we can show about said plans:
Tumblr media
As you can see, you're gonna see some new characters in pocket adventures. While in the full series, you'll get some new characters too. Except... New baddies will be only in the full series, while in the miniseries then later in the animated series... You'll get to meet some new allies! So, keep your eyes peeled for them! And we hope you like them as much as we do.
Now, D.D has never shown a sign of stopping, even during hiatuses, so im happy to announce that more Pocket Adventures will be on their way after Minisode 1 has completed production! We're thinking of putting the upload dates on hold (which means, minisode 2 is delayed until further notice, sorry guys.). So please be patient when waiting for new minisodes.
And speaking of patience... I think I got a little something to keep you guys busy with while you wait... Introducing…
Tumblr media
DIMENSION DYFENDERS TOONIES!
Now, you may be wondering: "What is THIS?" D.D.T (Dimension Dyfenders Toonies for long), is a brand new miniseries of comic strips that comes out during the weekends. (Starting in October, the end of september, or during the holiday season! No promises, though.) It's a little something i can make up while you guys wait for the next Pocket Adventures Minisodes. Oh yeah, here's one of the cover for it, too! It's not much, but i know you guys would go NUTS for it:
Tumblr media
This will be about how the Dyfenders handle their superhero and school lives in everyday situations. (No worries, the action isn't gone. There might be some strips about school, but there will be more strips about their superhero lives, guarantee!). It's also about what The Dajo-Crew does when they aren't invading dimensions, get into some shenanigans at the castle and also when they plot evil schemes. some strips will be either original with a new short story or a recreation of old strips from phase 1 (not a final decision of course, but you can tell us if you like this idea)! One thing to point out is that some of the strips might take place before some minisodes, now thats another thing to notice, right? And that's the only "spoiler" I can give. So, sorry, no more! OH! And for any of you voice actors reading this who are like: "Wow, i wonder when this series will get a comic dub / animated series. If i'm lucky enough i might be able to voice act for it!" … Boy, do we have a treat for you all. Which will be posted in a few hours. both on bird app, bluesky, insta and on here!  The only thing I have to announce is that during the d.d stuff's production and during art school, i'm not gonna be online on social media. (until during normal/long weekends and festive days.), but no worries, the series is still alive and kicking, even when there aren't posts about it for a few months! Though, in some days, i'll be able to make and share some art for it! You're all in for a wild ride for these months and for 2024! Oh, and about Dajo's account. I'm planning to bring it back. But, Dajo is currently busy conquering Dimensions, but I can assure he hasn't abandoned Sinstagram completely. You'll see more of his influencer side, too. Both in his Sinstagram and in the upcoming strips! (And perhaps in some mini– OOPS! TOO MUCH!) That's all for now! Thank you all for your support on the series, don't forget to share your fan creations of the series in DMs or tag me and the team in your masterpieces, share it with your family and friends, subscribe to the series on Comicfury, and follow me on Tumblr, bluesky, bird app and Instagram if you wish to support the project even outside of comicfury! Once again, thank you all in this slowly-growing small fandom for all of your support, and i hope you're all excited for what's to come! If you have any questions, please drop them on my tumblr askbox, Which i'll be able to answer during the weekends. That's all, back to the offline study and sleep abyss for me. GOODBYE!

An extremely long life update
Copy-pasted from a news post on my Newgrounds page: https://yukarinladyboss495.newgrounds.com/news/post/1381639
Hey, so I just kinda disappeared out of nowhere with only a vague comment about going on a hiatus but never making any "official announcement" about it. So here I am, just tryna get y'all up to speed with what's been going through my life. Nothin' much, but still quite a lot, so when I make a comeback to all art places, I'm gonna have to do some heavy rework of all my social media to make sure everything's up to date, since many things are very outdated.
So first off, the reason why I went on this hiatus was because of the heavy burnout and a lot of pressure that I was putting on myself, on top of being very emotionally unstable due to gruesome things happening in my life (cutting ties with "friends" that manipulated me, feeling awful about myself, my art, and everything I do, added to having an overall bad luck strike for some months, where it seemed like I could not do a single thing right without messing up five in the process), so I was forcing myself to draw to exhaustion just to keep doing something, so I wouldn't have an anxiety attack. But I just couldn't keep on doing that, which is why I decided to stop producing art for most of this year.
The emphasis is on the word "producing". I'm still making and creating new art, but putting less and less effort into it, and just drawing anything I felt like at the moment, mostly just pencil sketches that I posted on my Twitter, Facebook, and Tumblr, and refraining from creating digital art.
It's worked wonders on my psyche, and with every week that went by, I began to "fall in love" again with drawing. I still do not plan to return to making art "seriously", but when I do, I definitely will change the way I produce art, so I can still find the art process enjoyable without putting too much "unnecesarily pointless" effort into it. Some of the sketches I made got a lot of likes and attention, easily putting the rest of my artworks to shame! So yeah, there's that.
The second reason is that since I am a person who just-so happens to be and live in Venezuela, my Paypal account got terminated when I received a very much needed donation, and now I cannot accept support from anyone until I can find a suitable replacement to use that is not Paypal. This means that I am no longer taking commissions(not that I ever got any commissions to begin with), and my Ko-Fi account has donations turned off, essentially locking away all the exclusive content that was uploaded there. Then I watched that Duchess Celestia video where she talked about Ko-Fi's lack of security and how she lost a lot of money, so it's safe to say that I will quit using Ko-Fi altogether. I'm planning to migrate all my content to Patreon so my content is still available for, idk, some lost wandering soul that sends me money probably by mistake, but till then, all of my more recent artworks are banished to the Shadow Realm.
The third reason is that my ol' dinosaur PC is finally gonna get upgraded to 64 bits, so I had to do the tiresome task of making backups of everything I had on it, using only one 23 GB USB drive. Because of that, I couldn't make any digital art even if I wanted to, because I do not have the program to do it, so yeah, if anything, I'd call that a win. That said, once my PC is fully functional again, THAT is when I will be able to produce digital art normally again, so my hiatus will go on a little longer after I feel fully "recovered".
That, in a nutshell, is why I went on this massive hiatus, and let me tell ya, hiatuses are underrated! I know y'all who live off of art have your brains consumed by hustle culture and wouldn't take a break even if your working hand fell off your arm, but as someone who never had art as a career option, taking this time off was the best thing I could ever do. I feel rejuvenated! I'm starting to enjoy things again! I'm happier! I'm exploring new things and rediscovering things that I'd forgotten about or left behind!
I am much better now!
So yeah what I'm trying to say, is that this perception of taking a break as something bad that has to be avoided, and more like a positive thing, seriously! People gotta stop focusing on those silly Twitter numbers and start focusing more on their health and well-being!
"Yeah but it's not that simple, some of us need to make art for a living", brother, I am not looking for a debate, please do not try to reply with this, because I will ignore you. I am in the right, and so are you. Let's just agree to disagree, and move on with our lives, okay?
And that would be it! Just dropping by to let y'all know that I'm still breathing, that I haven't given up on Newgrounds, and that hopefully soon I will return with more art and better than ever!
As my favorite FNaF character would say, I always come back. ;)
Be seein' ya!

My god would ya believe me if I said clutch is way more underrated than fang! Cuz I can't find shit about this Opossum and he's in recent comics!
Welp time to change that
Clutch headcanon time
He's obviously a boomer, He WAS legit in retirement when he first appeared in IDW, but now he's building his empire again, still also focusing on Chao racing as a lil bonus.
I'd like to think after the whole Amy and friends fiasco he does treat chaos a bit better, would the ones he trapped never Wana get near him again? Yeah sure he doesn't care, Chao races are the least of his importance now, plus less trouble for him, but at least some new ones would get better treatment.
Did he adopt rough and tumble? Yes, he doesn't admit it but shows it through action, they do speak louder than words after all
Whenever he recalls his past, it's a visualization of a 60's like anime where he's much younger.
Rough and Tumble try to catch him up with memes, but since the duo is always late with the trends, so is clutch. He's beraly hearing about the Dr. Livesey meme and it's already been months now guys come on.
Clutch and Fang have a mutual friendship, they'll help each other, and once the mission is done they go their separate ways, Clutch states Fang still has much to learn.
Besides his FUCKING cane gun, clutch knows to hand to hand combat, using his tail as another way of attacking, he also uses it to choke his enemies and practically strangle them to death.
Clutch takes care of his giant bear robot, he knows some machinery but isn't really an expert, still the robot gets all the recent upgrades.
Clutch sometimes accidentally rhymes his name with words, Rough and Tumble tease him about it and he just pushes them away.
He enjoys going to fancy diners, concerts, and museum's in his spare time (yes I watch bumblekast QNA how ya know)
Everytime a holiday comes up, wether it's their birthday or Christmas or something, rough and tumble always argue and waste the day away. This has led to clutch having to separate them and calm them down before they break something, but the duo make him participate in whatever the holiday is so they won't fight for the rest of the day (example: getting clutch into random blind dates on Valentine's day, making him join the bros in the bouncy house on their birthday, snowball fight with them in the snow during Christmas!)
Clutch does smoke and drink, he on occasions gets high but that's rare
Clutch has many different kinds of coats that he wears, his favorite mostly being the grey one you first see him in, plus they make him look taller
Rough says Gif, Tumble says Jif, Clutch says it like an acronym: G.I.F
Clutch is a good balance with physical actions and smarts, but since he's older his fighting is a bit weaker than It used to be, but his marksmanship is still sharp!
He's still trying to understand how modern phones work, so he mostly has a flip phone
In his past he wasn't a wealthy kid, beraly scrapping by and taking as much from the street, but then one day he ran into a casino, he only had a few cents and couldn't really gamble much, so he decided to play one game of poker and then head home. It turned out he was very good at most of the games and manage to collect so much money, his life changed after that. Making deals, killing whoever double crosses him, and always getting away Scott free, His family was never poor again.
Most of Clutch's family members have either passed away or went on their own adventures and hasn't seen them since, now he focuses on passing his knowledge to the skunk brothers...well...try too.
That's all I got for this guy! Made him a complete dad figure but still very dangerous, man has taken out tons of heroes for crying out loud! I hope to see him more in the comics and that he gets more people into his fanbase :3

⋆ ˚。⋆୨୧˚ Fan Fiction, or Teen Fiction? ˚୨୧⋆。˚ ⋆
Tumblr media
☆.tw: none ☆.subject: book preference ☆.date posted: 04/06/2023 ☆.pics credit to owners
I've been in the web novel area for some time now (Wattpad addict est. 2015) and what makes me stay THIS long under the scrutiny of my beloved electronic devices, is because of my desire to keep racking through the catalogue for scrumptious pieces of anime character x reader books.
On a rainy Saturday night, a question suddenly popped into my head; what makes me prefer fan fiction over teen fiction? As I grow older and wiser (not), many would say I should've upgraded my taste in books. And I think I did? Besides web novels, I've also read a bunch of hard-copy books. But before those books, it was actually fan fiction books that helped me grow.
Living in Indonesia as a teenage girl until recently (turning 20 now), Wattpad only had been a hit among teenagers around 2019. Based on my survey, their preferred genre would be teen fiction. I read some of them in my early teenage years, both in English and Bahasa Indonesia. Though, it wasn't for long.
Soon I was drawn into the world of fan fiction, the endlessly creative AU world of Harry Styles and our dearest Y/N. I was (without a filter) introduced to many sub-genres, many writing styles, many vocabularies, and more. The authors were mighty creative with their stories and their writings really affect me until now. A dystopian-themed story of an underworld rebellious community, an ancient kingdom-themed story of y/n as the lost princess, Mafia-themed, Horror, and many else; they succeeded in quenching my thirst for an adventurous and fantastical life--a life that's impossible for me to experience. Tbh those books made me feel like I've literally lived through so many kinds of life. It felt like cheating, but it wasn't (?)
Ultimately, the stories evolved around me and my favourite person. I mean, how could I not refuse? So, my love for fan fiction continues, even as my interest changed.
Now, in my weeb era, a habit of combing through the internet for anime fan fiction that suited my taste starts. One thing that must be noted is that my previous (delusional) escapades with Mr Harry Styles gifted me a sharp eye for excellent quality, tummy-filling, finger-licking-good books that had met under my several conditions. Yes, I've officially developed a type for books.
Within the anime fandom, things got even wilder. Not tied with the laws of reality at all, anime fan fiction is able to fully explore the world beyond our imagination. The internet mostly has fan fiction of everyone; the Uchiha hotties (Madara, Itachi, Shisui, and Obito), Neji Hyuga, Eren Jaeger, Mikasa Ackerman, Kuroo Tetsurou, Kenma Kozume, Toji Fushiguro, Nanami Kento, Sukuna Ryomen, Kibutsuji Muzan--I really can't mention them all because there're so many. Some follow the anime/manga's storyline, while others create a whole new universe. The authors are very unique--especially the ones that are here on Tumblr. They create visuals, themes, and even music playlists for us readers to get into the story even more. Soon Wattpad writers do the same. The stories aren't limited to a character x reader only, some authors provide an OC as the lead character. Also, it's really fun to read through the comments and interact with people that have their interests lined with yours.
Based on my readings on these web novels, fan fiction easily wins over teen fiction, because in fan fiction I feel more involved with the character I love--that I am already familiar with--in a world that had been crafted by the authors. Social interactions with people that are similar to me (hello Toji stan) are also a plus. It's just so fun to simp over a character with others. And, it's refreshing to read a book where your favourite character is out of character. It's like you're seeing a different side of them, one that you cannot see on screen.
Finally, there go my paragraphs of personal opinion about preferences over fan fiction and teen fiction. I hope it can help you readers to realize some things, or maybe just to fill up your free time. In no way am I trying to degrade teen fiction authors, or authors for other genres. My mean for writing this is to share reasons why fan fiction is more of my cup of tea, rather than teen fiction.
That is all from me. Thank you for reading my spontaneous mug of insight, and see you next time!
-Ibi.

4, 31, and 35 for the wip asks, please! :) (If I've already sent in my request ignore this one - my brain is not co-operating today.)
4) Last sentence written?
I debated about this question because I haven’t written anything in a month, and what I was working on then is a redraft of an original novel and I’m not confident enough to share that. So I think I will skip (sorry) and instead use the random number to pick another question to answer for you. Which is….
26) Google docs, word doc, or neither?
You are around my age I think? So does this question amuse you a bit too? I predate those options. Well maybe not Word but we didn’t have it until I was in high school. I started off with good old pen and paper. My grandparents had a computer (a BBC-B) and they let me play frogger on it sometimes but not work. My mums first computer was a Windows 3.1 which predates the taskbar start menu and all of that. That had a program on it called “Microsoft Works” which from google to shore up my failing memory looks like it was word/excel/publisher etc. all in one. So that was my first foray into digital.
But I digress because yes of course I went on to wordpad, and then I got Word 2003 (still haven’t upgraded btw) but then when I got an iPad which has no stinking USB socket, I couldn’t carry around my stick with my word files anymore to work on everywhere so then I jumped to google docs.
Buuuuuut I have recently jumped to… something else. The problem with google docs is it is rubbish at large files (lags horribly), it doesn’t have a decent dark mode, it doesn’t have any integral backup options for changes, and I just don’t think it is really intended for 80k novels. I used it for years but it was really starting to frustrate me. It’s free which is why I tried to stick with it but I have moved to use NovelPad. By the name it’s designed for novels. It is web based but with a good offline mode, backs up every minute automatically, you can split everything into scenes, the revision feature is my favourite (no more juggling multiple documents) and the dark mode is so good. It’s also not overly complicated like Scrivener (which I could never get on with). The only bad thing is it’s a subscription. But as serious as I want to take my writing and with all the quality of life it offers I decided for me it was worth it.
31) Are you doing this instead of actually working on your wip?
No… well I suppose technically all ‘free’ time could be used for writing. But it’s 7:30am and I am going out this morning to buy a new mattress. I have had mine for 25 years and I am now waking up with backache everyday (no springs poking through but I can feel them grinding). But yeah I am terrible if I have appointments for not being able to focus (even more than I usually can’t haha).
35) Are you more likely to make grammatical errors or spelling errors?
Hmm. There are some words I just can’t spell (like guarantee thank you auto correct), and there are some words I spell so badly that spellcheck can’t fix it and I have to go “google you are my only hope”. But for the most part I can spell. It’s more automatic than thinking about it, I think if you used me to spell out words I would probably be worse haha. So maybe grammatical? I’m not too sure what comes under the heading of grammar. I don’t do any of the big things (I think/hope) but comma splicing probably, passive voice definitely etc. I don’t get that many wavy underlines either way to be honest.
Thanks for the ask ❤️

Pokemon Violet - Review
I WANNA BE, THE VERY BEST--
What makes a Pokemon game good? I bring that question up not to provide a clear answer for it, but to highlight that there kind of isn’t one. It’s always going to be a little subjective, and your answer is going to depend on what it is you value in a Pokemon game- and in that vein, Pokemon Violet may be either the platonic ideal of a Pokemon game for you, or the worst of the new bunch by a wide margin. For me, it’s the former.
In recent instalments, the Pokemon franchise has been taking a few swings at shaking things up and presenting different ideas for the universe, as well as bringing new and revised mechanics to the table. Alola, for instance, was a very intriguing look at a region without a gym challenge at all and our first look at what other forms the until-then ubiquitous “evil team” could take with the legendary and iconic Team Skull. Then we move to Galar, and the pendulum swings again; this time, the gym challenge is emphasised even more, televised and celebrated like some kind of team sports, with stadiums and hooligans and everything. The mechanics shift and change as well. In Sun/Moon we were introduced to a lot of little quality of life changes- no longer requiring HMs to traverse the world, and a few smaller things like your Pokedex telling the effectiveness of any move against a Pokemon you’ve fought before mid-battle, bringing a little less memory strain to the poor kids who suddenly have to remember a lot more than 151 type matchups.
Scarlet/Violet does a little with the former concept. Paldea has no evil team, instead having an organised group of school bullies (of a sort), and it puts a more freeform emphasis on the gym challenge than before. The Professor, normally a personal, direct presence to usher your character along their journey, is instead an absent hotshot celebrity who only talks to your character briefly and over the phone before the climax of the game. This game does bring back a genuine rival for your character, but instead of the jeering assholes of the series’ roots, Nemona is instead the best girl and everyone should love her; earnestly, enthusiastically, autistically interested in battling for the sake of battling and overjoyed that someone else in the region can finally step up and challenge her without giving her odd looks or trying to avoid her. Nemona ties in to another small difference this game puts forward; in Paldea, “Champion” is a rank that trainers can earn, rather than a single role held by one individual until they’re beaten. We learn this because Nemona’s the youngest to achieve it, because she’s basically just a protagonist made into an NPC.
It’s in the mechanics that this game takes its biggest swings, though, and in my opinion it’s for the better. The sense that I got while playing Violet and steadily uncovering more and more things I could just do that previously required specific NPCs being given specific items or hauling my ass over to a specific point on the map is that someone looked at all the restrictions placed on a trainer going on their journey and said “Mmh, let’s just not with those this time”.
Want to change your active party of Pokemon? Well, not only can you still choose to add newly caught Pokemon directly to your party if you want, but you access your Boxes from the same menu you’d access your Bag or your active party; no PC required. Want to change what moves a Pokemon knows? Well, if it could have learned it by levelling up already, you can just swap to that move whenever, no NPC required. Want to change your Pokemon’s nickname? Just a button press, the Name Rater is out of a job in Paldea. Want to get around the map to overcome environmental barriers? There’s no HMs in this game (as a gating mechanic, they do still exist by name), you just upgrade your faithful bike Pokemon with sidequests.
This commitment to just taking away all the limiting factors seems, in my view, to extend out towards the plot construction as well- in that, there kind of isn’t any until the very end. Rather, your character is introduced to the Pokemon Academy at the heart of the region, and after settling in, is told about a free-form self-directed study concept they employ affectionately named ‘The Treasure Hunt’. Immediately after being told that you can go do whatever the hell you want, the game applies the very lightest of brakes and, rather than plan your route for you, hands you three options to steer you, presented diagetically by three people asking you to do things if you want to.
Nemona approaches you and asks you to do the Gym Challenge, because she’s certain you’ve got what it takes to be a Champion just like her. This is an easy sell; we’re playing Pokemon, of course I want to go do the Gyms. Arven, a very angsty lad you meet out on your trip to the school, has a request too. He’s searching for rare and powerful ingredients for his culinary arts named Herba Mystica, but they’re guarded by particularly powerful Titan Pokemon. He explains that since he’s kind of not very good at battling and you’re The Protagonist, he’d appreciate your help. You’re quickly given a hook to care about this subplot if you choose to help Arven the first time; he needs these rare and powerful ingredients for their healing capability, because his big dog-like Pokemon was badly injured and never fully recovered, a fact that stresses Arven out immensely. The Herba Mystica seem to work, too-- but if you’re a heartless monster and don’t care about a sweet puppy, you also get upgrades for your faithful steed after it takes a bite of the sandwiches too. Finally, a mysterious figure named Cassiopeia contacts you via the phone, and it’s definitely not the literal only other named character you’ve met so far that isn’t accounted for, don’t worry about it. This figure wants you to tackle the Team Star bases on the logic that their leaders will step down if they’re challenged and beaten, which will help stop Team Star from being kind of annoying to people just trying to go about their school day. There’s a mechanical reason to do this too, but it’s the story hook that’s more likely to motivate- that, or completionism, since you do need to do these three subplots to their culmination before you can finish the game and actually experience its main narrative content.
Thankfully, it’s a good and fun game so that isn’t too tall a task.
Those three subplots serve as the core gameplay loop, as you catch and train Pokemon to be strong enough to tackle the next item on your self-organised list; or, in my case, stubbornly doing all the Titan Pokemon straight away to unlock the ability to drive straight up sheer cliffs like a Skyrim horse. The open world format of the game supports this pretty nicely, providing a little pacing by way of certain areas being harder to access without traversal upgrades and by simply being higher levelled, but otherwise letting you tackle things in pretty much any order you want. There’s only one place that’s off limits to you for the majority of the game: The Great Crater, covered by fog and a giant mountain range in the very centre of the map. You’re not allowed there mechanically, and multiple authority figures tell you point blank that you’re not allowed there narratively, either. It’s an intriguing question mark on an otherwise open book, and if you take the optional History lessons with Ms. Raifort, you’ll learn a little more about it; supposedly there’s a treasure of some kind at its centre, but nobody knows what it is, because no expedition ever returns. Only one man, from one expedition, ever made it back out- and his tales of what he saw were so fantastical that people came to regard him as a liar.
The Great Crater is something that the game shows you last, more or less, so I won’t focus on it and its narrative content until later. For now, we’ll take a look at how the game’s freeform concept works in its favour. This is where I expect the game is the most mixed among those who played it. I can imagine those who’ve never truly cared about the characters of previous games on any level beyond passing appreciation may struggle to find themselves invested, especially if the Herba Mystica and Team Star subplots don’t provide them much to anchor onto. Those who need a story to happen alongside their journey may find this game lacking, whereas those who find themselves irked whenever a Pokemon game tells them that they need to go do story stuff before they can proceed may find it far more of a refreshing change of pace. The Gyms are all pleasantly themed and have enjoyable characters staffing them, even if the omission of Gym Leaders using potions to heal their Pokemon was a bit odd, and the towns you wander through (+ the routes between them) all look about as good as one can expect of a Switch game.
It’s in the core gameplay loops that you’ll notice the most of this game’s unavoidable performance issues. In the course of my playthrough, I never noticed anything totally gamebreaking; the worst of it was getting somewhat trapped in terrain while attempting an off angle route over a mountain, and the game accounted for that well enough by just teleporting me out of the terrain and onto terra firma a little way away. A bit clumsy, but better than requiring a restart of the game, so... it is what it is. What’s far more noticeable is just the occasional graphical glitch. Shadows that forget to work, clipping for various objects attempting to exist together... the upside is that there’s not much in the way of framerate issues (outside of a few animations in cutscenes, which looks hilarious) with the tradeoff that there’s a pretty low render distance for things like wild Pokemon spawning in. It’s noticeable, there’s no getting around that, but it’s at least relatively easy to ignore.
(It should be noted, perhaps with an air of pointed frostiness, that perhaps these games should get a longer development cycle and bigger budget to prevent this kind of thing. Hm.)
Narratively speaking, what you’ll find during these sections is pretty light and simple. Arven’s story is compelling enough, especially with the way the Professor absolutely blanks him during video calls where he’s in the same room as you to drive home his general situation, and I’d go so far as to say that while Team Star’s narrative content is lighter than it should be, what’s there is nice. The four leaders are all compelling enough in their own right, and the steadily revealed backstory linking them all is about as straightforward and charming as you’d expect from a kid’s game. Their overall leader is a weird curveball of a character, but I can’t say I am anything but enamoured with her, so that’s hardly a complaint. Nemona may not have a story, but through her you learn a little more about how the Pokemon League and the Gyms function, and meet the game’s analogue of the Champion - Chairwoman Geeta - a few times, on top of the Elite Four members filtering in and out to observe your progress with interest. The Elite Four themselves were, for me, a mixed bag. I do not go into any Pokemon game expecting challenge, because I am easily twice the age of the game’s intended audience, but I was still a little taken aback that one member of the supposedly strongest trainers in the entire region utilised Ground type Pokemon. As excellent as Rika’s design is and as much as I may adore Clodsire, that’s an odd choice. Thankfully, the other three Elite Four are all enjoyable characters and had some slightly more robust typings, on top of the good Chairwoman using Pokemon you’ve yet to have a chance to even encounter yet to add in a little bit of extra challenge, so I come away feeling relatively positive- if a little baffled.
Briefly, while we’re on the topic of battling and its intricacies, I’d like to touch on the game’s new mechanic. Each of the more recent games, starting from X/Y, have had their own battle mechanic that hasn’t come back for future games- excepting for the sequels/remakes within their respective generations, anyway. X/Y (and by extension, Alpha Sapphire/Omega Ruby) had Mega Evolution, Sun/Moon (and by extension, their Ultra sequels) had Z-Moves, and Sword/Shield had Gigantamaxing. Each has their own upsides and downsides, but it is my opinion that the new mechanic, Terastallising, has the most mechanical merit. The way it functions is simple: Somewhat like Mega Evolution, your Pokemon can go through a transformation that can be used a single time per battle (or between party restores, more accurately). This transformation boosts the attack damage of its associated type by a certain amount, that stacks with Same Attack Type Bonus that Pokemon get by default- but there’s a catch. A Pokemon’s Tera Type does not have to match its main type; you may catch a Pikachu, naturally an Electric type, who would become a Water type when Terastallised. A Tera Type is always singular, too; my Skeledirge, the evolved fire starter, is dual type Fire/Ghost, but only Fire type when Terastallised, thus removing some weaknesses while at the same time removing some resistances. The game never really pushes you in a position where that matters tremendously outside of higher-level raid battles (which are, somewhat surprisingly, a thing now), but it’s a neat gimmick all the same and I like it quite a bit.
One of the game’s lesser-sung but extremely welcome changes, in my opinion, revolves around the Pokedex; on top of the actual Pokedex having some extremely charming visuals that I’d absolutely download as a real app onto my phone if offered, the fact that you can ‘lock on’ to Pokemon in the overworld proves to be a boon for those wanting to fill the pages. On top of showing you the Pokemon’s name (if you’ve encountered it before) and its level, it’ll also have a little icon next to its name if you’ve already caught it, meaning that you won’t catch two of the same thing accidentally. It’s little touches like these that elevate Pokemon Violet far above where the performance issues may have otherwise left it languishing; a lot of care and attention went into how a player would engage with a freeform Pokemon experience, removing the limitations that have become extremely arbitrary with age and trusting that the core experience of playing a Pokemon game is itself enjoyable enough to carry one’s experience without plot-gating the next Gym or pushing you towards doing something arbitrary. It’s the first game where I actually made an attempt towards completing the Pokedex in its entirety, and that is due in large part to how accessible that’s been made. Hints for where to find the missing Pokemon are found in the Pokedex itself, for instance, and you’ll know at a glance if you’ve already come across something that may seem unfamiliar in the moment, so... why not give it a try, the game asks? You’re here, we’re not making you do anything else, and we’ve given you all the tools you need... wanna catch ‘em all?
In my opinion, it works, quite nicely. The game doesn’t suffer for its lack of narrative content before the end- and when you do get to that narrative content, the game goes out with the most satisfying and compelling bang of the entire franchise. I won’t go into too deep detail to avoid spoilers, but I have not seen Pokemon take this much of a stylistic swing outside of the climax of Sun/Moon, and it works as well here as Mother Beast Lusamine did there; perhaps even better. There’s a plot twist of the earned variety, where previous clues are recontextualised, and some extremely enjoyable visual language accompanying a pretty reasonably interesting story concept. It may be brief, but the time it spends with you is easily one of the most memorable Pokemon plot climaxes I’ve personally ever seen. Suffice to say, what lurks deep in the Great Crater is worth the anticipation it builds, both in the sense that it’s compelling plot and in the sense that the character interactions that happen immediately prior to it are extremely entertaining.
All in all, the complaints I have about this game seem shockingly minor in contrast to the things I’d want to celebrate about it. This is not going to be the Pokemon game for everyone, but I personally think it does a magnificent job at filling the niche it’s actually aiming for. That is to say, it’s relaxing. Calm. Explore Paldea, take some optional tutorial classes and talk to the teachers between lessons to get a better understanding of their character, catch some Pokemon. Do some gyms, help out with the bullying problem, help a guy with his dog because he asked you to. For once, the protagonist of the game isn’t being saddled with expectations and region-threatening nightmares, or hostile Teams with ill intent... you’re just at school in a utopia, and when threat comes, you’ve had plenty of time to relax, enjoy yourself, and prepare. This was an extremely welcome breath of fresh air for this franchise... though I’m not sure they should do it more than a few times. It, too, might get stale with repetition.
Now, if you’ll excuse me, I have some more Pokemon to catch. I’m almost at 400, and that’s a full Pokedex- if only I could find this damn Barboach...

It Feels Good to Look Good
I’m not a “fashion” guy or a “style” guy by any stretch.
Thanks to the Big Homie, Dame Taylor that’s changing. I’d been watching Dame’s YouTube livestreams for a few weeks when he brought up one of his routine listeners, Alex, to have a convo. The convo with Alex got around to girls and clothes and Dame told Alex he was going to “get you right.” The advice Dame gave for clothes felt very easy to follow.
For some background on me…
After years of dealing with depression, I got to a years long stretch where I wore the same 3 or 4 outfits. I rotated them, and only washed them when the smell was too pungent to ignore. I wore my old, worn down, dusty Nike shoes with every outfit, whether it matched or not.
I had nicer clothes, but couldn’t be bothered to match them up or wear them. Honestly, at times it felt like I didn’t deserve my wear my nicer clothes. So, I didn’t…
Grooming was mostly out the window. I did the bare necessities, but didn’t care about my hair or my beard. I wasn’t really embarrassed, but I knew I was selling myself short and did feel disappointment with where I’d gotten my life.
Fast forward to 2023…
Ironically, Dame and I are the same height and weight, so I knew whatever fashion advice he gave would be realistic and easy for me to implement. That’s much different from other “fashion gurus” who give advice for guys that are really thin or who look like models.
I upgraded by:
Throwing out my old, beat up sneakers
Replacing them with a new pair of sneakers
Getting a haircut / beard trim
Buying 3 new pairs of joggers
Choosing to wear my nicer shirts
Buying three new hats
Dame’s given me a few tasks to make a few easy upgrades before I check back in. On his recent livestream Dame commented on my new polo shirt—that I bought from a bargain store—and let me know: “Don’t wear that brand anymore.” The old me would have been disappointed and embarrassed. The current me immediately started taking notes, and asking questions.
I don’t intend to ever be a style guru, but it DOES feel good to know I look good.

The Danger Room #1 - War Machine | SHIELD Justice
We play a lot of games here at Rogue Deck. While Magic is our first love, nothing compares to the story telling that goes on in Marvel Champions: The Card Game.
Our most recent playthrough saw War Machine lead the full might of SHIELD on an all out assault to free Odin from the depths of Hel. We emerged victorious, and in the meantime I found one of my new favorite decks.
The Core 15
Deckbuilding in Marvel Champions is so streamlined. 15 of your 40 cards are already defined by your identity. And in War Machine's case, it is all about bringing the pain. You are either adding munitions counters to War Machine, or removing them for highly efficient damage output.
Tumblr media
The Aspect - Justice (SHIELD Focus)
Because Rhodey needs to flip down so often to reload his ammo, Justice is a natural fit for his aspect. You need to be able to manage threat on your off turns. His kit has enough damage that you don't really need a bonus there.
With the release of the Sinister Motives box, Justice also got a new archetype - SHIELD support. This is a slow build archetype that relies on the SHIELD trait to supwerpower some cards. Homeland Intervention is the best of these because is gives massive threat control that you can trigger in Alt Ego form.
The Playthrough
The Setup: War Machine Justice + Iron Man Aggression / Expert Hela with Frost Giants and Legions of Hel modulars.
Tumblr media
Let's get this out of the way - I think we got pretty lucky in our set up. By turn two, Iron Man was suited up and War Machine had multiple SHIELD assets ready to deploy. Hela didn't stand a chance.
Normally, I think the tough minion/guards that front the special side schemes the the Hela deck are terrifying. But War Machine had an early Shoulder Cannon to pop off the status cards. Iron Man came in with Supersonic Punches and Hand Cannons to finish off the fatties before they got a chance to activate against us.
Recycling Homeland Interventions let Rhodey flip down with little fear of scheming out, so he always had Ammo counters. The high damage output from both heroes meant that we could quickly flip Hela to her wounded side and get rid of her bonkers upgrades.
Near the end game, we were able to manage both Hela's life total and the threat on the final side scheme to time a coordinated assault that broke Odin free and finished off Hela in a single hero phase.
Key Cards:
Homeland Intervention is essential in this deck. Since you can play it in Alt Ego, it gives Rhodey free reign to flip down to avoid big attacks and reload his ammo counters.
Munitions Bunker is an easy way to bank ammo for future big turns. It's also SHIELD traited, so it plays pretty nicely with Sharon Carter and Homeland Intervention.
Shoulder Cannon is the plink damage you need to control small minions and tough statuses.
Agent 13 lets you charge up Munitions Bunker or helps pay for big turns by untapping you Helicarriers.
Government Liaison punches way above it's weight class. In the early game, it is a great set up card that let's you drop early Nick Furys and Sharon Carters. In the late game it is a battery for Homeland Inteventions.
Monica Chang means your Homeland Interventions never fall flat. Sometimes it's nice the have the thwart drip of Surveillance Teams, but really, she just gives you a critical mass of SHIELD cards.
This isn't the exact deck list, but it's a pretty good starting point if you want to build something similar.

⚠️ BEHIND THE MASK 🎭
This is a non-writing post. I may do these from time to time, but the bulk of my Tumblr content will be fanfiction. I've got some things on my chest I'd like to get off, and I think being open about my real self on Tumblr will help me feel even more comfortable posting things here. That's why I've decided to do a bit of an ice breaker by listing some facts about myself that make me who I am. More poetry is on the way next week, but for now, enjoy!
1) I'm a Scalie.
Being a Scalie is something I've been embarrassed about and borderline ashamed of for years, but I've recently started embracing it as a part of who I am. I don't have an original character, but my fursona (or scalesona? I dunno what term Scalies use for that to be honest) is Lizzie from Rampage. Obviously I didn't create her like most furries do with their fursonas, but I like roleplaying as her a lot. I feel that life is too short to be hard on yourself over things like being a part of the Furry/Scalie community. It feels really good to get this off my chest and be open about it for a change. If it bothers you, I sincerely apologize for making you uncomfortable. This is just something I've been working up the courage to be open about for many years, and I just wanted to make it known.
2) I'm relatively new to the Rampage franchise.
I've had a bit of experience over the years with Rampage, mainly through the Nintendo Entertainment System version of the game that I used to emulate through NEStopia as a kid. I never got around to playing the arcade version or other games in the series back then, but I’ve recently started playing Rampage World Tour on Nintendo 64 and I absolutely love it. I’m planning on playing World Tour’s sequels on Nintendo 64 and PlayStation 1 soon, as well as watching the 2018 live action Rampage movie. I’ll leave my thoughts on all those in future posts after I’ve spent a fair amount of time with them.
3) When not writing poetry, I play video games.
I play a handful of different games on my PlayStation 4. I'm hoping to upgrade to a PlayStation 5 later this year. I'm currently saving up the cash to buy one off of eBay. The whole stock and chip shortage debacle has been an absolute headache, and I was planning to upgrade sooner, but eBay scalper prices are insane, and their listings are the only reliable way to get one now. They have control over the entire PlayStation 5 market. Some games I play regularly on my PlayStation 4 include Metal Gear Solid V: The Definitive Experience, Call of Duty: Warzone, LittleBigPlanet 3, Saints Row IV: Re-Elected, Carmageddon: Max Damage, Twisted Metal: Black, and Among Us.
4) I'm 26 years old and I live in America.
My birthday is November 5th, 1995 and I’m an American. I have my birthday set to September 21, 2001 on most other platforms that have asked me for it because I prefer having my birthday be anonymous elsewhere. I feel comfortable being open about it here on Tumblr though. A fun fact about my birthday is that it was also the day the original Twisted Metal game came out for PlayStation 1, a game that would later make up most of my childhood gaming years. It also happens to be a British holiday known as Guy Fawkes' Day. It's sort of the British equivalent of the 4th of July here in America, and you might be familiar with his mask from hacker groups and movies like V for Vendetta.
5) I work a production job in a factory.
It might sound like a bad job to have, but truth be told it's not. The facility I work in is quite nice and values their employees a lot. Sometimes the production environment can be stressful with how much work needs done, and while the pressure to perform and meet quotas can be nerve-wracking, the thing that keeps me going is the peace of mind in knowing that what I'm doing allows me to be independent and to fuel my desire of being a female Godzilla in my spare time. We've all got things that motivate us to work hard, and for me getting to be a girly kaiju when I get home from work and to be able to pay for things like art commissions, Godzilla merch and video games to fuel my fantasy is what I get out of bed in the morning for.
6) I have a pet turtle.
I've always had a fascination with reptiles despite only getting deep into the Godzilla fandom recently. Dragons, dinosaurs, lizards, you name it, I love them. When I was younger, I thought a turtle would be an awesome pet to have, and my parents thought it would be a nice lesson in responsibility to take care of one, which is why they bought me one for my birthday. Her name is Pickles, and she's a Red-eared slider. I take very good care of her, and she's been with me for 14 years living a happy, healthy life. Turtles are known for living long lives, and that's exactly what I plan on giving Pickles. Hopefully she'll be with me for many years to come. Sylvester Stallone's turtles from the first Rocky movie are still alive if you can believe it, and with the proper care, turtles can be with you for most of your life!
Anyways, that's just a few things about yours truly in real life when I'm not playing pretend as a big girly lizard monster. It feels good to be a little more open about myself here and I think the comfortability I feel will bleed into my future posts and lead to stronger writing and better content. Stay tuned for more poems and posts! For now, I’ve got some cities to destroy...

The Very Real Sacrifice of Caring For Aging Parents in Your 20s
"I think things will be easier if my mom dies first," I found myself saying out loud to my best friend late last year, sitting on the carpeted steps of her rental house. This sentence may have come across as cold and morbid to anyone else, but I knew Tessa understood where I was coming from: Her dad and my dad both have terminal lung diseases, and neither of us have the best relationships with our moms, either. My mom in particular is generally healthy, but I worry about her living alone as someone who can be forgetful, overly trusting, isolated, and naive. Tessa and I met working at our college bookstore as cashiers. She's now a math teacher married to a great guy with a new baby boy. Tessa just turned 29. I'm a healthcare reporter who lives in Oakland, CA. I take art classes, love walking around the Bay, and have a 9-year-old cat named Clark. I'll be 28 later this year. Tessa and I both have older parents, and have bonded over how it can sometimes feel like we got robbed of fully enjoying our 20s. I don't call Tessa to gab about a new crush, or text her photos of my outfit options before a date. Instead, we talk about having to navigate federal healthcare on behalf of our parents, and arrange care for them while simultaneously trying to keep our own lives afloat. Neither of us feel like we have the same normalcy our friends do; we don't often call our parents for advice or anticipate the holiday season with excitement. Instead, our 20s have mostly felt like we're consistently waiting for the other shoe to drop, and when it does, we turn to each other for support. I am one of many millennials being affected by what's been referred to as an elder-care crisis. It's difficult to care for aging parents, especially with whom you have a strained relationship, while also navigating early adulthood. . . and financially earning less than they did at my age. The weight of credit card debt, student loans, and societal expectations can feel crushing. Hell, sometimes vet bills for just Clark can get pricey, even with pet insurance. I want to save money. I want to travel. I'd like to upgrade from a studio to a one bedroom so I don't have to fall asleep staring at my desk, since I work from home. But I also know that when my dad inevitably passes - and likely before my mom due to his condition - I'll need to be able to spring a last-minute plane ticket home and help get things in order. I recently received a master's degree from Syracuse University's Newhouse School, and throughout my final few semesters, I routinely thought to myself, "I hope my dad stays alive at least until I finish this degree." It can often feel like I'm holding my breath, hoping my parents hang on until I'm in a more established place in my life, so that I can offer the best care while also being my best self. My dad's prognosis was originally around seven years max, and he's now in his third year since being diagnosed. His health isn't currently changing much day by day, and when people ask how he's doing, I reply, "About the same." It can often feel like I'm holding my breath. I deeply desire to maintain autonomy in my own life, which still feels like it's just beginning. But I also want to make sure my parents are safe, healthy, and have all the resources they need as they age. So, rather than save for an eventual wedding or other milestone, I now have a separate savings account explicitly meant to help my parents in the event of something tragic. Just like a wedding is a major life event, so is losing a parent and maintaining care for the other parent - particularly if you're an only child, like I am. (At this point, some might ask, "Why don't you just leave the Bay Area if you're so concerned about money?" So, I should note that I have two uncles who live here, and we're very close. They weren't always part of my life, and as they also get up there in age, I want to be around them as long as possible, making… https://www.popsugar.com/family/millennial-taking-care-aging-parents-essay-49351514?utm_source=dlvr.it&utm_medium=tumblr

Recent thoughts all about the last message I'm going to leave before leaving the church. Well, just community I was part of for last year. The reason is that their words never match their intentions. Actually, I find out this is common attitude of society here in US: always say sweet words and empty promises and never feel any responsibility for what was said. I grew up in culture where such attitude will be counted hostile and inappropriate. No body is perfect and things changes, but literally ignorance and indifference as if nothing was said appears to me very hostile. I can understand if one will change own mind and let me know for any excuses or even without, but literally ignore the fact what was said and promised... Well.... I don't accept any excuses for such attitude, and I see most of people (at least here in NJ) doesn't feel any responsibility for what they say.
Therefore I made conclusion that beside sweet appearance, beautiful church service and pleasant time together, there is nothing else. I count such people not trustworthy and never would like to do rely on their help or have any business or even do any missionary work together. Interesting how they can live with such attitude?
The most disappointing part of life in US is that most people are merely hypocrites. That's really disgusting thing, but I can understand if grew up in such hypocritic society it becomes as a base line and very acceptable, but not for me.
So I wonder why is this so? I can assume maybe because of abundance of scam. Well, all life here in US feels like a one whole bunch of SCAM!
I was very naive to believe that here is more freedom or better opportunities. The same shit wrapped in completely different story.
But it's good I got here so now I can compare. I might say that life in Ukraine before war used to be pretty awesome with abundance of freedom. The only limitation was money, but what difference they make for a happy life? I had happy life without worries about them. But here is US everybody must pay for every step. It's not a freedom at all. It's merely a golden hook. I repent that I swallowed it. Sorry for that. I should stay in Germany and look for any other opportunity avoiding US as I always used to. But it is what it is now.
I don't have much enthusiasm anymore developing anything here. All my expectations merely ended up being cracks in castle of glass.
Beside all that shit thanks Jesus love was able to make a way for many beautiful memories. And I found new hobby, taking beautiful pictures. Well, not a new, just upgraded with better equipment. Often I remember words from your movie about right moment to take a picture. I feel it the same way.
A boat without sails drifting for a miracle.
It's like another level of harder difficulty to prove once again: it's never worthy to trade character for money.
By the way. Selling lens I made a deal tomorrow meet buyer and sell it. But a little later another one send a message asking for a lower price. I replied that another man going to claim it. And all of a sudden he offered $100 more. Accept this offer is the same as sell virtue. If only you could know how bad my spirit is tired of being here.... I remember times when I would accept thought, thanks God no more.
Don't trade love.

Ma Cherie ❤︎₊ ⊹
Chapter vi: Absence
Pairing: Inuokku/ F! Oc
Summary: the loss of someone in your life can be hard to navigate around, even more so when a relationship had only recently blossomed.
Length: 3.02k
A/N: hey y’all, i know it’s been a long time since i posted and that partially because things kept on popping up and i kinda forgot this fic even existed lol. I’m really sorry guys, I know it’s a short chapter, but i’ve had a lot of stuff going on this week and was unable to really sit down and write. Luckily my finals are now officially over, so i’ll have more time to write. I’m currently writing the next chapter, so that’ll be out sooner rather than later—if I remember to post lol.
Ma Cherie Masterlist
While it’s only been three months out of the eight scheduled months of Yuta’s time abroad, Toge is going insane. He misses Yuta’s warmth, his reassurance, love, and his ability to understand Kanae in ways that he is unable to — even after all these years. The two still text and FaceTime regularly, but it’s not the same. Kanae helps to ease the pain, but their relationship had been so new when he left, it pains them both. In the days before Yuta left, Kanae scheduled them full of random date ideas, but this did nothing to slow the flow of tears at the airport as Yuta left for Africa with Miguel.
Kanae, like her beloved, is losing her sanity.
At first it had been kanaeandtoge and yuta, then it became kanaeandtogeandyuta. It was still the three of them, but with newfound distance they had been unprepared for.
One of the ways the trio compromised with the thousands of miles of useless space was many calls, texts, photos, and videos. This led to Kanae ‘asking’ her adoptive dad to upgrade her phone plan to accommodate the plethora of content growing in her phone.
“Toru-nii, I changed my storage plan. I got 2TB.”
“What?”
“It’s an extra forty dollars, so just a warning.”
“… Okay?”
“You’re paying for it.”
“When am I not paying for something?”
“ ‘Kay, thanks!”
With the accompanying spare time of one less person to be with, Kanae has been filling her days evolving her cursed technique, working on her friendship with her older brother, preparing Megumi for the dorms-
“I’m an empty nester!”
“You’re literally my teacher.”
“Kanae-Chan and Megumi-Chan are abandoning me!”
Kanae smiled softly and walked over to her small family. She wrapped her arms around her boys tightly.
-which has been fun. He got a room the hall over from his adoring, darling, dearest sister. However, this does little to thwart Kanae appearing at random. She felt it was her sisterly duty to materialize from thin air and either claim a spot in his room and play with his shikigami or would request his assistance.
Toge and Kanae had more time together than they’ve had in a while, but that did little to squash the ache in their chest for the absence of Yuta. Their beds were bigger and colder. Their rooms were more barren, and their days more boring. There wasn’t anyone else besides the two of them for a long time then they found another, only for them to leave and it hurt far more than they anticipated.
Toge and Kanae had been togeandkanae for as long as they could remember; promised to each other at the ripe ages of three and four. Even though they never considered an addition to their love, Yuta wormed his way into their hearts and lives before leaving soon after. They didn’t know what to do, they didn’t know how to function.
Yuta wasn’t there to hang out with Megumi and make Kanae’s heart soar beyond belief. Yuta wasn’t there to get the things that the two of them couldn’t reach because they were both fairly short. Yuta wasn’t there to help ease the pain of Toge’s sore throat. Yuta wasn’t there to help on the days where Kanae could hardly get out of bed, so wracked with guilt and despair that the very thought of leaving the world hidden away beneath her covers was impossible.
Some times Kanae’s glad that he isn’t there, to be honest. She already feels bad enough that everyone has to see her on the days where everything is too much and she just wants to fade from this life and wait for the next one. After Yuta left, it got too much to handle. One less person to distract herself by giving every possible ounce of affection and adoration she could. Kanae tried to keep it to herself and deal with it in the early hours of the morning and the late hours of the night, but this did little to stop her melt down.
She became erratic during training, sloppy running drills, and has less self preservation. Kanae didn’t mean for any of this to happen, at least she doesn’t think so.
The teacher and student watched as Kanae slowly blinked and reached into her skirt pocket, pulling out her phone.
Gojo arrived soon after and strode straight towards Kanae. Noritoshi hesitantly handed her to him. Gojo pulls her taught to his chest and cradles her as he used to when they were younger. A time that felt so long ago. Kanae curled her hand into his clothes and cried. This made even more weight fall heavily on Satoru’s heart.
(Kanae is a girl who cries often, this is true. She cries when: she watches a sad movie or show, when she reads a sad book, when she sees something adorable, when she’s angry, when she laughs hard enough, when she’s on her period, and occasionally when she shits. Despite this, she doesn’t typically cry when others think she should. Kanae has days where most can predict her tears, and most of the time they’re correct, but those are only a handful of days. Her family and friends have familiarized themselves with these dates and plan everything they can around it. She cries on her birthday, Christmas Eve, mid November, and her fallen loved one’s death days. Unfortunately, Kanae will soon not know life without tear stained cheeks and red eyes. She will survive, for better or for worse we do not know, but not without a trail of immense pain that will try to drown her at every turn).
“My sweet, baby girl. You’re safe. I’m here,” he murmurs softly for Kanae’s ears only. However, the silence that surrounds them allows the others to hear. Noritoshi feels slightly envious that Kanae’s father is so warm.
“Kanae is in so much pain and I don’t think I will ever know just how deeply she has been hurting.”
Kanae had spent the remainder of the day at home, in the luxurious penthouse Gojo had bought for their growing family.
Kanae desperately wants to whip out her phone and take a picture in order to blackmail him at a later date, but her first priority is to make sure her brother is okay, which he clearly isn’t.
“ ‘Gumi-” He practically launches himself through the air and into his big sister’s arms, seeking any comfort he can.
“He-he’s gone, nee-san! He’s gone!” Kanae’s brows furrow. “Who’s gone, ‘gumi?”
“Itadori!” Kanae’s eyes widen slightly, she has heard of the boy and how remarkable he is from her dad and brother.
“He left me, Kanae!” Kanae's heart aches with the remnants of her brother’s. She cradles him in her arms through the tears, even when he tires himself out from crying. Satoru arrives later in the night, noticeably distraught. He watches silently from the entrance of the room as Kanae and Megumi curl tightly around each other in his room. Satoru gently closes the door behind him and slips off his shoes, moving quietly towards the bed, wiggling his way behind his kids. He moves them closer to him and holds them tightly to his body.
The next day, after a little bit more crying, Kanae is introduced to Kugisaki Nobara, a sweet, headstrong girl. The two get along splendidly and the older of the two listens dutifully as Nobara speaks of Itadori. Even though she calls him an idiot, moron, and dumbass, Kanae knows that his death has rocked her deeply.
Later she questions Satoru about the incident, and his answers are vague at best.
“You’ll be very upset with me when you find out the truth.” Kanae sighs before placing a hand on his arm.
“You’re our dad, so I trust you blindly, but please think of Megumi in your choices.” Satoru has a solemn look on his face when she says this.
“I’m doing the smartest thing I can, I’m trying to keep everyone safe.” Kanae hums softly.
“So he is alive?” Satoru looks at his daughter, a slight twitch in his expression is all it takes for Kanae to know she’s correct. Sometimes Satoru can forget just how brilliant his daughter is.
“If you think it’s best to keep it quiet, I’ll follow your lead, but if I find out otherwise I’m telling them.” He nods. “I’d expect nothing less.”
Two days later, The other second years make the journey home while Kanae is in a meeting with the higher ups. An awful, boring, useless meeting. They desire to make  her feel small and worthless, and above all else try to make her feel weak and Kanae hates feeling weak.
“That’s my girl.” Kanae smiles at him and walks with him to the car. The two play hand games in the back seat and make their way towards the school. When Kanae steps out of the car, she looks at Gojo to follow, but he doesn’t exit.
“I have a job, but I’ll come see you when I’m done. Keep an eye on Megumi?” Kanae frowns, but nods nonetheless. “Of course.”
She closes the car door with a slightly harder than necessary shove and walks up the stairs towards the entrance of the school.
“Wait… someone did die?” Kanae immediately recognizes her best friend's voice and hurriedly walks over.
“I told you in my text, or did you not read it?” Maki looks over her shoulder and rests her arm on Kanae. “I skimmed it.” Kanae scoffs, “Rude.” Maki shoves her playfully.
“Kam-“
“Kanae”
“Kanae-san, are you friends with this girl?” Kanae looks at Nobara and nods.
Kanae just smiles sweetly at her and can hear Megumi gag faintly. She subtly sticks her tongue at the demon spawn.
In the future, Kanae will look back on this memory with fondness. In the future she will weep at the thought of how her brother once was and the fading remnants of Megumi in her mind. She will mourn her short lived friends, the impact they had on her with the small amount of time she had with them. She will think of the plethora of ‘what ifs’ that continuously plague her mind. Kanae will remember the final moments of her childhood and innocence with that lingering bitterness that follows nostalgia.
In the future Kanae will have one single wish of having that Time Turner from Harry Potter her Suguru would read to her as a small child.

Prayer
Jesus, thank you for this time together. Thank you for these important reminders to keep going, to keep enduring, to boast in our weaknesses. not what we're good at, we don't have to brag about the things that we know we do well, the things we want to bring attention to ourselves to. but if we can boast in our weaknesses, then our strength is made perfect in weakness. So let us be strong enough to say that, I'm  weak enough to need you. and I pray that we will turn to you. you are not and never have been our fixer, which our spirit is our helper our guide or comforter Our Truth. I pray that we would end the chase of relevancy and embrace the Timeless message of Jesus, that it is for every person and that all who call on the name of the Lord, will be saved. Thank you for your word, timelessness, its transformation and it's double-edged sword. I praye this now in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, amen.

Community Prayer Line
This is kindergarten Katie. I wanted to thank you guys for your prayers because I've been back and listened to previous times and happened to hear someone praying for me, and it's been exactly what God knew I needed. So even though you prayed a week ago, I might have just recently heard it and it touched my heart exactly when I needed it. So thank you there's still a lot that's really hard right now, and you guys are such Incredible family so I love you. Thank you for praying for me, for my family, for each other. I'm praying for you bye.
DABC family, this is Mindy from Nashville Tennessee I wanted to call in and let you know that today is December 2nd. and 2 days ago November 30th, my father went to be with the Lord. he went peacefully. I tried to get here in time but he went quickly, we just I wasn't able to say goodbye that day. but I had seen him the previous weekend, and I said goodbye. but he's with our Lord now and no more pain, he's healed. I just wanted to let you know that. Thank you for the prayers that you have prayed for me and my family. and I know he is at peace in the arms of Jesus. continue to pray especially for my mom. She's been married a long time and her life has changed significantly but I just wanted to give you that update.
Everybody Wanted to request prayer. I've been dealing with migraines for a while and I thought I'd reached a point a couple weeks ago where you know maybe I had gotten past them. and maybe you know got to kind of delivered me from them completely and I had a good week and a half with no migraines at all. and fast forward to this past Tuesday, I've had a migraine basically every day. I still, despite what it looks like I still believe that God has healed me for migraines. A couple Fridays ago several people laid hands on me at an event where someone was mentioning he went from migraines. and I do believe that God will help me even though I'm coming to you now currently having a migraine, but I just need prayer. I don't know if I know they could be worse but definitely I don't know it's been tough. so just requesting prayer for healing from those, and just that I can continue to hold on to what I believe God has done for me, even if my physical reality doesn't seem to match. All right, I hope everyone's doing well, thanks.
