7. I need fic finder help 😭 I cannot for the life of me find this one fic or remember the name, but I remember it very clearly.

So the premise was that the Lan soloed the SSC after the Wen attacked Cloud Recesses, and LWJ was sect leader (and chief cultivator??) after. He demanded a person be given to him (as compensation?? To show the sects alliance to him?? I forgot the exact reason) and WWX saw it coming a mile away that it would be him chosen to be handed over. Everyone was terrified of LWJ and was certain WWX would be miserable, but LWJ knew it would be WWX they sent and because Wen Qing vouched for him LWJ treated WWX like he deserved instead of how the sects thought he'd be, and got the shock of their life when they ended up married.

The last chapter I read (and the last update I saw, it was a (nearly finished?) wip last I read) Wen Qing sent a notice that LXC, who'd been in a coma for the entire fic up to that point, was awake.

I can remember but I can't find... But I remember that I think WWX still had a golden core. He made Chenqing to let WRH think he was only playing music to help him concentrate on creating the Yin Tiger Seal but actually WWX was using it to use demonic cultivation to create weaknesses in the Seal that he could exploit later (and also to try to protect his golden core grin the resentment). Chenqing becomes semi-sentient and wants to help and protect him. In the end he shatters the Seal while shielding everyone else from the backlash and almost dies in the process, because he drops Chenqing and so she can't protect him.

ah ok, highlands via train would be like west coast line up to fort william/mallaig, and tbh not super familiar with the areas (except for oban, which you can get a ferry to iona or mull etc from, which mull is vry nice. but check ferry things for that. also if you get off at luss or earlier at balloch you can get boat rides across loch lomond. loch lomond is so <3 i love going into the hills around there, haven't been to the arrochar alps tho which are on the side the train stations are on) Or you can get the train up from glasgow queen street in the inverness direction. i havent been to inverness but dunkeld & birnam on the way is very cute and has rly nice hikes from it (birnam hill!!, the hermitage!!, loch of the lowes). aviemore also has nice hikes going out from it (craigellachie nature reserve, plus steamtrain line up further north to abernethy forest type area maybe??? double check that). i'd stick to those lines rly for highland stuff. dont bother with aberdeen ive been told be so many people at this point (including from there) not to bother lol. its just boring. (unless youre using it to get on a ferry to orkney or shetland). .. hrmrmrmm for edinburgh. i am a bit of an edinburgh hater ,however the botanic gardens, the national gallery of scotland and lighthouse books are all nice. botanics are huge and nicely themed areas (and free except for the glasshouses which i've never been in) (but also out of th way of the city centre). national gallery has good stuff. lighthouse books is a queer-owned indie bookshop and has a rly nice selection of queer and political books but also various other local writers and things like that. its just rly nice. also Hadeel is palestinian gift shop items, so thats cool to go to i havent been tho. One world shop is also a nice fairtrade type shop. also i went to both holy cow cafe and lounge and the food was good . i will say tho that you absolutely can get into the highlands via edinburgh waverly but glasgow central + glasgow queen street have the west coast line + inverness route too, you'll need to go into glasgow for th west coast, in case you want to plan around that.

so ok lets talk foxypope duo in hollywood au now. they work tg all the time like there's a bajillion pap pics out there of them workshopping tg at cafes. and to boost work morale b/w them they'll dress all matchy-matchy for their cafe workshop sessions n look film twt eats it up; sm so couples are using their matchy looks as couple pfps

anyways so foxypope are a non-negotiable duo. they wont work on a project if the other is not on board bc tg they've curated such a specific vision. foxy is a horror geek so all the screenplays she pushes pope's way are in that vein. but now pope loves him a good psychological drama or thriller but he also loves foxy's vision ... remember she is his muse and while he may or may not explicitly say it she is at the heart/spirit of all of his movies so their movies have horror at the heart of it but under that psychological drama/thriller lens which is why i felt robert eggers was rly fitting for what their movies tg end up looking like.

i also feel like they end up going on a lot of research trips tg for their movies too. they pull from a lot of real-life horror (like how the lighthouse was inspired by an actual lighthouse incident back in the day) so they end up in these rly scary places like deserted lighthouses, abandoned churches etc. to get a feel for whatever story they're trying to work out at the time. ik they got the coolest stories to tell bc of all their research trips

the pics of them out at cafes and scouting locations make people go nuts bc i think she still dresses like shit but in a "chic way" she's wearing rain boots with cargo pants and a giant leather jacket but the blogs eat it up and pope's always seen in the pics talking super animatedly while she's all cool and collected because you know she's already writing his ideas in her head.

they work so well because he's the only one who can practically see into her head and understand her exact vision. nobody else gets her like he does and atp everyone knows it. they curate such a haunting and visceral vibe in their work and they're both morbid people so it works but there's always an underlying romanticism. you cant tell me pope doesnt invent new lighting techniques just so her vision is executed perfectly.

they also frequently disappear for months or even like a couple years when working on projects they don't have a huge filmography for that reason because they're really taking their time. she writes for a couple shows and smaller films in between bc screenwriting really does pay well if youre established and work constantly tho (inputting my real knowledge here...this is looking like my current path.)

Currently obsessed with: ocean liners. It's insane to me that I'm a Vehicle Autistic now, after having had retro TV shows as my special interests pretty much exclusively since 2013, and before then it was things like bands (esp. The Beatles and My Chemical Romance), YouTubers (mostly Dan and Phil. it was 2012 u know) or books like Sherlock Holmes. Essentially I've just never had a type of vehicle as a special interest before so it's very ????? wild card lmao. I get rly excited by aeroplanes but that's also tangential to a retro TV SpIn and I never really learned anything about planes I just am delighted whenever I see one.

Anyways I fell into ocean liners as an interest by accident (saw the second half of titanic on tv at christmas -> was intrigued to see how accurate it was -> watched a bunch of videos and read a bunch of articles abt the ship and its sinking and survivors -> got really miserable tbh -> remembered that there were lots of other ocean liners -> started researching them -> there is so much to learn and explore and they're also just really pretty -> joyyyyyy) but I am SO fucking excited about them and like I'm actually learning a lot about them which is aaaaaaaaaa. I love ittttttt. I'm no ship expert by any means, but I am an enthusiast and I know more now than the average person but less than most other enthusiasts lmao. im interested rather than knowledgeable fhdkjlsfd

The thing abt me is I can almost always be goaded into writing or at least starting something, the real question is if I finish it...I am highly susceptible to my friends saying "that sounds like a miserable writing experience, don't do it" bc then I do it. I will say one thing I was pondering today as I was reading my own fic is the concept of sex weirdos in the Fragments verse -- I would never write it bc why ruin something good with a really goofy follow up, but what if there were two long established, good players who kept choosing each other for winner's room bc they were the same flavor of sex weirdo and it was like, a good time? And they did this for years and eventually fell in love and it was horrific for everyone, especially their captains who just had to witness this for like, over a decade. But it would be SUPER goofy and I really don't want to take a intense, fraught fic and just be like, and here's some idiots having a good time!! (Also bc knowing who I am as a person it would be an extremely stupid pairing like Marc-Andre Fleury/Joe Pavelski which I rly think that would test everybody's patience in a way that would not end well for me. But also deeply funny to think abt Jared Spurgeon and Jamie Benn having to witness two old men having a gross fun time and being like, help.)

Also was contemplating the concept of silent faith and the sort of subtle deification of goalies in context of Philipp Grubauer's cross helmet and what happens when you venerate a goalie like a minor god. I mean basically "Take Me To Church" with Grubi/Drieds but with weird Christian overtones. but that one I will NEVER write because I am opposed on a fundamental level to me specifically exploring Christian faith and religious iconography in fanfiction because I do not trust myself to be normal or palatable about it.

Sometimes I do! Usually it's just one song or two songs on repeat though. Like the mattdrai owl fic, that was just "CAGES" by NEEDTOBREATHE (fellas can we lay off the capitals) on repeat for a solid month and a half, or the Dougie romance novel fic was just the Sofi Tukker remix of "Missing Piece" by Vance Joy over and over. The Jamie lighthouse fic actually inspired a whole playlist for the remix I have living in the back of my head, frankly iconic to be so inspired given that I never actually wrote it besides word vomiting the entire premise in several text messages at 1am to a friend. But I think that one can really be summed up by how it ends with "I Will Follow You Into The Dark" by Death Cab for Cutie, weh.

Like being strong and building his own name would make him happy, and maybe it does but I don’t think it would satisfy him, what the poor babe rly wanted was a family and i cry??? Thinking about it being the WBP he belongs there he fits right in there this crew and pops are the missing piece in his heart AUGH this just gets me im sorry this was about kissing initially wasnt it

What i mean to say is Ace would try and hold back a lot, even though he really likes Marco and wants to be greedy or want things from him, but doesn’t think he deserves—he thinks he hides these wants well, funny thing is Ace is kinda an open book, he’s an emotional dude (everything we’ve seen of him he shows it so obviously in his face his actions his voice wah i love himmm) and Marco can tell he’s wanting

So maybe Ace does get a little petulant, a little whiny over being unable to spend time with his boyfriend, maybe annoyed that Marco doesn’t delegate these chores and errands to division crew, and worst of all he’s waited hours for him too :(

But perhaps his pride tangles with all these feelings and he sort of does everything and nothing about it all, to the point that when Marco finally comes back Ace just launches himself at him wordlessly, face tucked into Marco’s shirt kind of deal, like guilty wanting apologetic need all at once

Marco soothing him and asks him directly what does he want and Ace replying quietly that its him and Marco kisses him because how could he say no to that? Youre right godgh im so sorry if i twisted your idea too much idk i just think Ace is such a lovely complex man and Marco would be his rock, his shore, his lighthouse

this light from all eclipse which is quackity centric lighthouse horror. im a huge baby with horror and i loved this, super super funky vibes that makes you want to stare at a wall for an interminable amount of time. im not selling it very well but this fic is on the list of stories that have changed me as a person, as well as fics that have made me cry its so so good

now that i am a big multi stan i realized that they just DONT and they CANT

i used to also say i didn't want to watch kdramas because i didn't need more men to simp over

that didn't last long either here i am with my kdrama fics being some of my most popular 😭

im guessing that the next things to change for me is either ill start watching survival shows or start watching variety shows regularly

roadtripped to the coast! and im back with wifi to offer you some images from said trip, maybe videos if reblogs will let me add some idk. long post incoming tho (cw for dead stuff/bones)

the beach! the one not ridden by tourists. it was windy and there were Massive waves it was awesome? and the water was super warm too i was kinda surprised about that lol. gorgeous skies too!

we also found a skeleton, maybe a fox that fell into the sea and got washed up on the shore? i took one of its teeth since the skull and a lot of it was smashed up, i need to properly clean it still tho. might make a necklace out of it if it's not too small for that

went to the lighthouse island/islet after the beach. there were boats!

we didn't go to the lighthouse bc parking there wasn't happening but we went to the rocks nearby it. smooth boyos, we had to go barefoot to avoid slipping around in our flip flops

the sun was starting to set, or it was like a few hours from setting, but yeah the view was gorgeous and the horizon was vast and i felt alive

we drove to another islet to check out the rocky beach there. it was the high tide so the shore was consumed by the sea lol but it was still lovely out there. it was drizzling a bit too it was rly refreshing actually

here's the (presumed fox) tooth and also another piece my sister found that i took with me. woo bones!

while driving home today the cows near our summerplace were out and about by the road so i snapped a couple pics of them bc bro there were so many?? man

also we visited a small local wildlife museum! lots of taxidermied animals, and bugs! dead ones, but i should've taken pics of them now that i think about it. oh well here's a haikara (i forget what it's called in english)

and finally here's a fucked up basement i spotted at a clothes store in another old city. it looked fucking haunted lmao

overall a good trip! we had fun and i got to visit a town i had never been to before which is always cool :)

Bea is an atlas type, daughter of the creators of Rapture, Ava is the jack type, she's a deep sea explorer who got stranded near the lighthouse and into rapture. mary as fontaine, lilith as the big sister, camila as that one dude who invented underwater trains just cause I think she'd love public transit.

hitman au is like uhhhhh bea and lilith have a complicated and kinda toxic relationship while lilith is a hitman, then they break up, it's messy etc etc, camila becomes lilith's new handler, there's complicated emotions and also murder, it's vaguely based off the hitman series because I just rly do enjoy that game

oh god. ok aside from the st cast which i feel like is a Given considering the nature of this blog. michelle yeoh’s performance in everything everywhere literally changed my life. i’m not usually one to keep track of actors/actresses because i feel like i can only recognize a good performance when it’s Incredible tm but michelle in this movie was INSANE !! i can’t imagine anyone else in the role and guaranteed the movie would not have hit as hard without her. <3

i am so so sorry to disappoint user truthtellsbyler but. i didn’t do much original writing this year and honestly didn’t write anything at all for a couple of years until i published my first fic this summer ! i did some art but i’m not really someone who creates oc’s just because i find it hard to stay consistent with them :/ i did write a little more of this one short story i started like 2 years ago about this girl frankie who lives in a lighthouse ! it involves monsters in the lighthouse attic and also sapphic mermaids ! not too much to say about that though because byler has taken up all my brain power for the last 4 months and will probably take up all of it for the next 2 years so. yeah.

i like horror movies that arentjust slash and gore but that has symbolism and meanings and can just kinda leave u feeling unsettled. my favorite genre is the "monstrous feminine". as for annihilation i only read the first book. it was so good it deserve a reread. my dad said he didnt liek the rest of the trilogy and i didnt relly want to ruin the first book for myself but if u say its good.. welll maybe ill give the rest a try :)

I’ve read Annihilation twice too!! Both times I finished in a single sitting 😭 like. Best book of all time 😭 I looove the rest of the trilogy too tho! I think it’s fascinating. The second book is from the perspective of the guy in charge of Southern Reach, and seeing that side of things is crazy cool.. so many freaky things happen.. some of the coolest visuals.. OH and the backstory for the lighthouse keeper is worth reading it it’s own right 🥺 sooo good and just devastating. I think vitally, you never really get any answers. It’s all very up to interpretation and that’s what makes it so good to me. And soooo creepy. I love it deeply I rly recommend!!
