Okay here’s another controversial “Green family take” tell me if I’m wrong.

Because besties I agree I honestly think green cousins doesn’t make much sense either since yknow Morro and the whole possession thing, but at the same time if you look at canon, they just aren’t the same thing and yknow I need people to actually stop looking at Harumi as the girl version of Morro and the only reason we hate her is because she’s a girl.

Because she’s not.

Like yes I agree there’s definitely a lot of bias towards Morro, if he was woman he would be demonised to hell and back but since he’s man then he is adored, and vice versa with Harumi and sexism fucking sucks.

But Harumi and Morro are different guys. Harumi is portrayed as worse in canon in Lloyd’s eyes. Yeah Lloyd got possessed by Morro and that’s obviously bad tm but other than what people assume possession entails, Lloyd was never as shaken as he was with Harumi.

In s5, we never saw Lloyd be conflicted about the possession thing. He had no fear of Morro. We have no reason to believe that a ghost possession feels worse than being a sleep and maybe having a vague awareness of what’s going on. He barely mentions Morro after s5. And I will say I think this is a writing flaw, obviously it would’ve been cooler if Morro actually had some kind of impact on the ninja, but regardless this is the canon. Lloyd hates Morro but he’s not traumatised yknow. It’s not to the point that Harumi got to.

I feel like getting possessed should be worse than getting lied to, but Harumi did on top of it, start a cult in his name, Kill actual Characters (the royal family and Hutchins) and then kidnap Lloyd and his mother and his uncle and then resurrect his father removing vital parts of his father’s mind/personality/emotional cognitive abilities etc. on top of that she also nearly killed the ninja and wu (which Lloyd believed she did).

Somehow she was much more dangerous than Morro was, she was a much more successful villain.

Additionally I would say Morro has more of an excuse to be seen as family, even if I I’m less of a green cousins fan. Because Morro and Wu actually have a father son relationship, in which Wu was actually responsible over Morro. They had a normal albeit imperfect dynamic before Morro left. Regardless of Lloyd and Morro’s interactions, that dynamic was still present even in the very end.

It doesn’t mean and Lloyd and Morro have to be buddies, just because there’s a family connection doesn’t mean shit (this is the show of found family have we learned nothing? Blood connections don’t matter, only friendship).

But like in comparison to Harumi and Garmadon’s absolute parody of a relationship, where Harumi turns to the man who doesn’t remember what love is and asks him to be her father (at this point neither of them know what “father” even means), Morro does have a family dynamic and Harumi does not.

So in response to the original quote, Morro has a much more solid claim to any kind of family dynamic bc his relation to Wu is much more family esq, and also he was bad yeah, but the show portrays Harumi as worse especially in Lloyd’s opinion.

I just don’t like the argument that Morro and Harumi have done the same things, when the severity is definitely different imo and they aren’t just copies of each other. Imo it’s an oversimplification to reduce their characters down to each other.

The song is kinda good even. The chorus part at least. Nice tune, cohesive train metaphor, decently put together, girl can sing. You could put it in a cartoon episode about online bullying or something and it'd fit right in. But not as a response to credible child grooming allegations. The didactic tone and the self victimising both fall incredibly flat with that fucking context. The ukulele especially falls flat. Musical ability doesn't matter when the entire video is tone deaf.

I saw a comment suggesting that she only made the video to keep her current fans on her side, and that's got to be it because it's certainly not gonna convince anyone else. If you know the accusations it's obvious she's downplaying everything to a comical extent rather than, yknow, disproving it like she should be able to if it was all fake. If you only just heard of her I imagine a ukulele song about how she totally didn't groom anyone is only gonna raise questions. If you were personally affected by her behavior then hearing her play it down as "mistakes" and "just being a bit weird" while throwing a pity party for herself would just be infuriating.

The more i listen to it, the main thing that sticks out is the condescension of it. That expression she keeps doing that's like, between a pained smile and this thing :🫤. My job is a little boring and they could pay me more I guess, and we've been insanely slammed with work since like, last July, and it hasn't let up at all.

But idk. I've been there for I think 6 years now. And I just think about things like how the manager of our department keeps making sure we know she's paying attention to how hard we're working. And has told us a million times not to break ourselves with getting more work done than usual, and to just do what we can every day, because "we know you are not robots and I will not entertain any expectation that implies otherwise" (cool actual quote)

And then I think about how the morning Oma died, I texted my supervisor, and she replied in regards to bereavement stuff, "I will handle everything, please don't worry about it". And then a few days later I received a care package from upper management with a personalized card expressing condolences for the loss of my grandmother, along with a candle, some hand lotions, and a stuffed dog. Apparently this was because my supervisor told upper management about it, and they decided to do that.

I hear so many horror stories of jobs that are awful about shit like that. And it's like, I tell my supervisor "I have to leave early today because xyz thing with animal" and she'll be like "hope everything's alright, just let me know whenever you're back!" with no further questions. Could I find a job that pays more? Probably. But would it be a job where I can work from home with my animals all day, and I really feel treated like and appreciated as a human being that means something? Probably not.

In one meeting when I expressed slight frustration over being called into a meeting because my production metric slipped, my supervisor immediately went off on a tirade about how much she appreciates me, how good of an employee I am, how I always show up and never call out and I'm extremely reliable and good at my job, and how she loves seeing pictures of Sammie in the Teams chat and I'm a joy to the team...

And I was like damn Amy I'm not quitting I was slightly annoyed LOL. But it was nice to hear, yknow?

Sorry I just saw an awful instagram reel where a woman's boss was terrible to her after her mother in law died and it hit me hard. from the little drabble i posted the day before, he does get dante's calls but he never answers. he has once out of maybe some sort of relapse in his judgement which is why dante knows gene is out there.

honestly, compared to his pdh counterpart, i sincerely think gene is much more serious? he’s extremely serious about his job as someone directly under azazel (shad). of course he is very much capable of making snide funny guy remarks, especially when he’s in a shithead mood.

i have no idea if u read my whole background thing on gene and dante but here it is. To the person telling us to blacklist the anti-tags and stop, quote-unquote, "intruding on them":

First of all, the unnamed poster also tagged the DITOEFTV/VADD tags in some of their posts. So it's not on us if we see it. If they didn't want to get a conversation in the open community, then they can just not tag it.

Second, when have we ever "cross-tagged shit", as you so politely put it? I distinctly remember that I was one of the people telling cross-taggers to stop and tag correctly? If you're referring to the multitude of tags underneath my posts, it's simply the different tags this fandom exists under. Stop saying shit that we didn't do.

Third, I'm sure I've been here long enough, seeing as I remember being on Tumblr for some time when it was sold to Yahoo in 2013. Don't think I don't know Tumblr etiquette; I've probably been here longer than many people.

Fourth, we don't "hate them/you" as you assume. I clearly remember asking the original poster(which I will not name) to clarify their opinion, and they used novel spoilers, so people can't come at me for "lording over my novel superiority", because they used the novel as a baseline for their argument.

We kept asking questions because they opened themselves to a conversation when they posted in the main tag. If you don't like it, then don't tag the main tags, then. Simple as that.

If they delete their post and block people in the argument in lieu of giving an actual rebuttal, then it's natural to assume some things. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I read the DITOEFTV novel at 4am and was extremely sleep-deprived. So I barely remember more than the manhwa readers who saw novel spoilers. Still, I'm able to do analyses and arguments because of my friends. Again, I don't claim "novel reader superiority".

Reading Maybe so takes me back to when I was younger, specifically when I was a teenager and how often I would get in my own head, trying to satisfy my family with how I was living life, who I surrounded myself with and how I would grow as a person. All of that is not to say that I’m now perfect, cause if anything I’m still flawed, hopefully less from when I was a teen but continuing to learn and grow is the goal yknow but man does Yoongi have to take it easy on himself and having reader by his side, hopefully allows him to see that he shouldn’t dictate his life decisions on what his family thinks of him— heck even “dating” reader is contradictory on its own but we make mistakes to learn.

thank you for saying that! literally that’s the time and headspace i was in when i was writing this, so that was kinda the goal. and also i totally agree with that thing you said about continuing to learn and grow. i like to think that i’ve grown past that mindset as well, but it really just ebbs and flows and the only thing we can do is improve what we can for the time being and that’s enough :)

E101 Another Twist - MICHAEEELLL I miss him so much I was actually devastated when he died he scared the shit out of me so much. just an epic character and his use of architecture to supplement his power is excellent.

E103 Cruelty Free - THAT PIG??? ough I love the Slaughter and the Hunt stuff it's so fucked up I love it so much nothing will top the first one they did but this was excellent. scary shit.

FINAL OC LORE DUMP LETS GOOO

OKAY SO, this is ALLLLL about the Sun kingdom (and the eclipse but shhhhhhhh)! Suns out guns out am I right? /j

Firstly! There’s the king of the sun kingdom Sehar! He’s the monarch of the kingdom and believes he’s the literal reincarnation of Soraj (the god of the sun) and like, no one can realistically prove him wrong since the Soraj has kinda just abandoned humanity and refuse to even look at earth soooo,

The reason he believes this is because when he and his brother were born, Soraj spoke to him, telling him how to lead and everything, but eventually he left and was like “fuck humanity” so Sehar was like, “well if he’s gone and he was talking to specifically me, then it must mean something and therefore im god now lmao”

He has his supporters who worship the ground he walks on, and he has people who REALLY REALLY hate him and want him dead.

He’s kinda a really cruel and fucked up guy, is kinda creepy too. Has a really weird thing with eyes, (well not really weird since eyes are a symbol of the kingdom and are really important to the religion of the sun but the way he goes about it is kinda ??? Yk?) He’s overconfident and clearly has a superiority complex, but he is willing to actually help his people and yk do shit when needed.

Some quotes.

“You want my help in defeating what you call ‘the wrench’? Hm, yknow any normal man would look at you and say you’re crazy for even suggesting that. I could have you executed for even saying that yknow? But I’m no normal man.”

Next we have his faithful and utterly obsessed servant Azhar! He’s a light grey teifling, who died trying to escape the eclipse kingdom during one of their many many famines,

He died on the border between the two kingdoms, Sehar found him and took an interest in him mainly because teiflings like NEVER showed up in the kingdom, so when Azhar woke up all he remembered was that he wanted to go to the sun kingdom and there we was, not just in the kingdom but in the palace of the LITERAL KING he saw this as faith, he believed Sehar was a god and that him being here was the man’s way of telling him to be loyal to him. And he fell for it HARD. He became the man’s servant worshiping the very ground he walks on, always striving to be good in his eyes. He loved him. Loved him so much but never thought himself worthy enough to deserve it back.

He thought of himself as worthless and nothing compared to Sehar. Which the man himself encouraged. (Now it’s never stated whether or not Sehar also loved Azhar back, it’s left up to interpretation really)

He does sometimes has his doubts about the man really being a god, but he always tries to get rid of those thoughts, seeing them as ‘awful’ and treacherous’

His teifling power is essentially a surveillance camera, so he keep watch on the ENTIRE kingdom for Sehar, this camera is represented by a literal eye watching you. (So imagine like a fucking eye on your wall that just watches you)

Now let’s talk about Sehar’s brother! Aras! King of the Eclipse kingdom!

He is a reserved man, quiet and docile, but one thing he is not, is a good king. After seeing how sadistic and awful his own brother had become he kinda just lost hope. He never really cared about his people he didn’t even want to be king but he was raised to be. Now unlike Sehar, Dolion, god of the Eclipse still spoke with him. But it always seemed to just want him to fail. Always telling him how worthless he is. Edging him deeper and deeper into despair. This caused his kingdom to be literal hell to live in, especially since it’s ALWAYS snowing there, contrast to the sun kingdom where it’s yk, sunny and a more oasis-y place.

He had heard of his brother’s plans to kill him, and decided “if I’m gonna die you’re dying with me” and in some events im still working on, the two end up killing each other THATS RIGHT Aras and Sehar fucking die. Which leads to a lot of distress.

“People may think Sehar is a god…But he is not. Neither am I. Even god themselves know I am not worthy of anything. I gave up trying eventually.”

“We are brothers, we are connected forevermore. If I fall, so will he.”

“I want to make things better, I always have, but I cannot, I am merely a fool who thinks he’s a king.”

HOWEVER YK WHO WOULD BE HAPPY ABOUT SEHAR’S DEATH? ASEM!!! Our final character!!!

He is an elf!! Like Kassi he’s a potion maker, the only one in the kingdom actually, which gives him close access to the king which is good for him because he’s apart of a rebel group who want to FUCKING MURDER Sehar. They see him as corrupt and horrible, a man who acts like a god only for own benefit to use and abuse the venerable people of the kingdom. Azhar knows about him and his plans but doesn’t have any evidence to convince Sehar, so the two are constantly at odds with one another.

Whilst he hates the king for being corrupt and all that, he ALSO hates him for a much more personal reason. See when he was younger his parents were fucking executed in front of him, for the crime of ‘conspiring against the king’ which they didn’t do but it’s kinda hard to convince a sadistic ruler that. He wants revenge for this and wants the man dead.

He’s blunt, a bit arrogant but has a good heart and genuinely wants to see his people out of the clutches of someone he believes to be awful.

“If you do not help us he will continue to harm millions of innocent people! I know you already have your hands full but please, we cannot do this alone.”

“Aras is a cowardly man, I do not care what happens to him. It would probably be better for his people as well. Kill two birds with one stone. For the betterment of everyone.”

“That man is not a god, he’s a liar and deceiver! A god would not harm innocent people for no reason! A god wouldn’t murder my parents for a crime they didn’t commit! You are no god! You’re merely a tyrant!”

I imagine Asem tries to tell and convince Azhar that Sehar isn’t a god and that he shouldn’t worship a man who doesn’t care about him and he gets SO CLOSE to convincing him but never fully breaks that thread.
