as you were getting ready for bed, ethan was laying on his bed waiting for you. you walk out of the bathroom in your pajamas, your hair pulled back in one of those fluffy headbands, and a pink face mask covering your face. as you were grabbing one of ethan’s hoodies to put on later, you hear him say something from the bed behind you. “y/n, turn around” “hm?” you say as you turn around, only to be met with him having his phone camera out taking a video of you. “ethan! stop it!” you shriek as you cover your face, making him laugh. “you look cute stop it!” “don’t you dare post that!” you beg. “why not? it’s cute and funny! i promise you don’t look bad, plus the guys have seen you in a face mask before so don’t even worry about them, they don’t care” “ethan i look scary! and it’s not your friends i care about” you say, slightly changing your tone to a more soft one. “then what is it you care about?” he asks, opening his arms for you to come lay on him.

you give ethan your headband and put the face mask on him too. you guys stand in the mirror, ethan standing behind you with his free arm around your waist, and he takes the picture. “i cant believe you’re letting me do your skin care” “yeah yeah yeah don’t get used to it, this shit tickles!” he laughs, releasing his arm from your waist. you guys wash off the masks and you grab the hoodie from earlier, crawling into ethan’s bed. suddenly ethan’s phone begins to blow up.

Homestuck: Beyond Canon Upd8 for 3/15/24

Again, I'm late. This time it's due to COVID. Still sick, but wanted to read and react.

We now transition from our angry Kanaya to our mourning Kanaya, as they continue to travel through the void. Someone is trying to reach her. She's a space player, so it might legitimately be Calliope.

Wait. What are you up too, Roxy?

Oh~ That's sweet. I missed that in the panel transition. Roxy just wanted to make sure Kan was warm as she slept.

That "noise" is in Jade's font. Is it too much to ask to see Meat Jade finally reunited with her friends? Or is this just going to be Roxy finding Jade unconscious from her struggle with Calliope?

This is nowhere near as spastic as you could get in the old flute flash from Act 3. Still, nice to see my favorite silly girl up and moving around again . . . and not neck deep in Candy craziness.

While I long to see Jade, Dave, and Karkat interacting again, it's refreshing to see some new conversations taking place. I don't think Roxy and Jade have had much interaction post canon, and basically none in Homestuck.

Are they accessing the bubbles? I mean, time works all wonky on the furthest ring, so that should be possible. And if anyone could do it, it would be Roxy.

There's Kanaya. Calliope is definitely up to something and has enlisted Roxy to see it done.

Hopefully instead of just taking what she wants, Dead Calliope will actually negotiate terms for how they can protect themselves from Dirk without Jade or Kanaya needing to lose their agency.

Hello, I share your indignation about the new part of MK. Everything was changed too much and strangely. Can you write down the moments you didn't like? For example, I’m not happy with this whole situation with Kuai Liang - Scorpion, Tarkata - a disease, Raiden - Liu Kang 2.0, Fujin - Raiden’s sister, who is Kung Lao’s lover, seriously?

I WILL STATE that i have not bothered to look at everything myself but hear from reliable sources of the basic information of the game so i cannot give a full and fair critique. And i will not give this game anymore attention than i already have given it since it is just NOT a mortal kombat game.

Lets talk about the reasons you listed bc i agree.

Kuai liang as scorpion and in role reversal:

I am not a fan of this even remotely being "canon" Although the idea should be explored by fans WHO UNDERSTAND BOTH KUAI LIANG AND HANZO HASASHI AS CHARACTERS ORIGINALLY. It completely disrespects hanzo as a character and erases his connection to scorpion being a "gimmick thing to slap onto someone" as a title rather than a personal journey of meaning. And kuai deserves more respect as well, originally being an assassin whose clan tried to "modernize" by removing free will of warriors to ensure obedience and make their spirits and talents disposable. Trying to fight against that. It seems ironic in the end his fate is nothing more than to be toyed with by this unoriginal and uninspiring "role swap au lolz"

The tarkatan race being a disease:

I shouldn't even have to clarify how fucked up this is. Right after in mk 11 we saw tarkatans just being another race living in outworld minding their own business, and kotal fucking up (kotal khan is a wasted character but thats for another post) so we got what was once a "bad guy evil race" to something better. AND THEN THEY FUCKED IT UP AGAIN like isnt that, at best, the most tone deaf shit after what happened in real life with a certain disease and people being uber racist??? And dont get me started on how they messed up mileena with that too. (God damn the writers fucking hate her just as much as kung lao)

Raiden role reversal:

Let me tell you as a raiden enjoyer i fucking HATE them making him a basic ass protag like they did with liu kang (i love liu but lately they just removed all personality from him) its so fucking uninspiring and boring as shit AND THEY MAKE HIM CHAMPION INSTEAD OF KUNG LAO???? THE ABSOLUTE DISRESPECT WHAT THE FUCK i love raiden but he doesn't deserve champion title, that belongs to KUNG motherfucking LAO.

Fujin being a sister????:

Listen i havent seen it but this is the dumbest ass shit i have ever seen in my entire life. As if they couldn't show how little they actually care about fujin......

And the shallow fans who care little about fujin other than a "pretty fuck toy to do teh yaois with uwu" which is also what they did to shang tsung now which is like YOU FOOLS! I mean you cant even get shang tsung or marjory of fan desired characters without dlc and the base game is like 60-70 bucks like the fuck????

As a regular fighting game? Mid but enjoyable i guess. But as a mortal kombat game? No, thats not even mortal kombat thats just some dumbasses wattpad fanfic after they watched avengers endgame in their crusty batman shirt

I'll end this with a small side note: if my opinions offend, I'm sorry im passionate about a series that was a part of my childhood and made me appreciate Japanese and Chinese culture and kung fu cinema in general. So, I am a little late on this since my one year mark was on the 21st. I originally wanted to do something fun for my one year anniversary but I realized that I just am burnt out at the moment. I am sure that you've noticed the lack of content- and I am sorry. I am hoping soon.

Alright I'm dropping context for dragon! Joe that's long overdue at this point (seriously, I should have posted this weeks ago!)

This is mostly my usual word vomit again, with a couple doodles to go with it

Dragon Joe ref!

-Joe has no idea why he even became a dragon in the first place. He got his body stolen but his skull transformed into a full on dragon somehow???? Idk man it just kinda happened and now he's gotta live with it.

-Joe still forms the BB Brigade, but the only ones who know what he truly looks like are Lester, Lola, and Cole. The goons just assume that "Don Boneyard" is just some weird skeleton guy (Don Boneyard is just an animatronic!) and have NO IDEA that their boss is really a giant dragon. "Don Boneyard" doesn't even do anything, Joe gives orders to the bone trio and the three just say that the robot skeleton gave them the orders instead. Goons are forbidden from entering Don Boneyard's quarters so that they don't waltz in and find that their boss is fake.

-Don Boneyard's quarters are where most people think the Brigade base ends. However there's a secret entrance behind the Don Boneyard animatronic to a large cavern where Joe actually resides. Bonechip island is probably a fair bit bigger and deeper to compensate for its draconian inhabitant.

-The cavern itself only has two entrances/exits: the secret tunnel that connects to the base and the mouth of an underwater cave that leads to the ocean. If Joe has to leave for any reason he has to swim, but he's fine with that, because that just means he'll stay out of sight.

-If Joe is a giant dragon, why hide in a cave while you make others do your bidding? Well Joe knows that ZZ is looking for the most powerful body he can get his hands on, and Joe is afraid that if ZZ saw him, he'd want his new body instead, and who knows what ZZ would do with a whole dragon body at his disposal? So he hides himself away and forms the BB Brigade to stop the cup instead of confronting him directly.

-Since Don Boneyard is just a robot who cant do anything but play voice clips and perform some basic movements (enough to make announcements on the mammoth vision but that's about it), when Dina and co. raid the base and Dina sees the bot she gets real confused when it doesn't even fossil battle her and ends up accidentally destroying it. The brigade commanders take matters into their own hands and literally throw Dina down the secret tunnel, with Lester chuckling darkly as he says "Have fun with the boss! If you're lucky, he'll only stomp you flat!"

-Dina lands at the entrance to the cavern and is like "wow this place is bi- is that a fucking dragon???". The red dragon is actually sleeping thankfully, so Dina tries to sneak around to get a good look at him. Joe is curled up, snoozing away, surrounded by a modest pile of precious gems and gold. Dina probably steps on something and he wakes up. At first he thinks it's the commanders needing him for something but once he spots Dina he realizes nope, it's an intruder.

-This is the part where he goes hard on the theatrics to try and scare Dina away, and gets a pickaxe embedded in his snout for his efforts. Like I mentioned in this ask, Joe dramatically flails around for a bit, with Dina frantically trying not to get crushed, before he dislodges Dina's pickaxe and she brings out her vivosaurs to fight him.

-Joe puts up a pretty good fight considering he has no combat experience as a dragon, but Dina stuns him temporarily, ending the battle. Joe quickly recovers though and this is when he realizes who he's fighting, but of course ZZ and the patrol team arrive and Joe slinks off into the water before the others find Dina.

-ZZ really doesn't believe Dina when she mentions the giant fucking dragon (he thinks that's something he would have seen by now), so she just huffs and tries to forget about it. But the dragon knew who she was and that bothered her. Things are normal up until ZZ reveals his true identity and tries to take Dina's body. Instead of a B-Ptera rescue, this happens:

Yea.... Also something I mentioned in that one ask, Joe busts through the wall of the tower himself, shoves Dina and Todd into his mouth and flies off before ZZ could do anything about it.

-ZZ of course is PISSED. But he doesn't realize that this is a rescue mission on Joe's end and thinks that Joe actually straight up ate his Majestic Vessel. How DARE this stupid beast devour HIS vessel? He worked so hard to get that! But of course, seeing the dragon fly off into the distance, ZZ realizes that maybe he doesn't need a human vessel. Dragons are both very powerful and VERY long-lived. Fucking perfect.

Zongazonga changes his plan from "steal some kid's body" to "GET THE SCALIE"

-Meanwhile Todd wakes up from his sudden passing out because HOLY SHIT GIANT MOUTH COMING DIRECTLY AT HIM, sees Dina sitting next to him, sees that they're in a cave of some sort, stands up and is like "Yay we aren't dead!" Then he turns around to see a whole ass dragon lazily sprawled out behind him, all the color drains from his face, and he nearly passes out again. Thankfully Dina keeps that from happening.

-The dragon asks them if they're ok in that all too familiar southern accent, and Dina tells Todd that this dragon is the real Joe, Joe confirms this yadda yadda same as the game, except Dina and Todd question how tf did Joe become a dragon. No one will get an answer for this.

-Dina warns Joe to NEVER rescue them like that again because she was very ready to pickaxe his insides until he dropped dead. Joe is very glad that she did not feel the need to do that, but if something happens he can't make any promises.

-Dina says she wants to fight ZZ, Todd runs away like the coward he is, and Dina goes to see Scatterly (she can't bring Joe, waaayyyy too big to fit in her pocket lmao). Thankfully ZZ doesn't send the other fighters after her, but he DOES send them to look for "big brainless beast" Joe (good luck lol). Dina meets up with the rest of the patrol team, Todd comes back after like 10 seconds and apologizes, and everyone goes to meet our local dragon boi.

-So aside from everyone being shocked that Joe is a dragon, Dina not being public enemy number 1, and Todd not being captured, everything is relatively the same. Joe just stays behind when Dina retrieves the pipsqueak, and the kids invade Wildwest Tower. When ZZ sees Dina and Todd alive he's like "What?? Awww I was hoping you both had been devoured but oh well, guess I'll kill you now." But Dina whips out the pipsqueak, the patrol team all rush at him at once, and Dina belts ZZ out of Joe's head. But... Joe isn't here to reclaim his body, and ZZ escapes through the elevator. They just kinda leave Joe's body there for now and go after ZZ.

-So Double Z bounces outside and low and behold, Joe is there, he decided to show up after all. Seeing that skull bouncing towards him, however, gave him quite the shock. ZZ laughs and says "Finally, my TRUE Majestic Vessel. Surrender to me, you dull creature, and I will put your body to proper use!" He leaps for Joe's face and... harmlessly bounces off his snoot. To this, Joe grins.

"True Majestic Vessel, huh? I wouldn't be so sure~. Oh, and I ain't dull, either!"

"...WHAT? Y-YOU'RE THAT INSUFFERABLE COWBOY! I THOUGHT I G-GOT RID OF YOU!"

"YA THOUGHT WRONG!"

But before he could finish the skull off, the kids step outside and ZZ launches himself at the closest one: Rupert. He successfully possesses him, halting Joe's murder attempt and making everyone hesitate long enough for him to summon a Z-Ptera and fly off towards Ilium Isle.

-Dina tracks him down, ZZ raises his castle and flies over to it, everyone has their bruh moment.

-The staff leaders see the dragon and go "ok wtf", any other fighters in the area are staring at Joe with absolute terror, and Joe explains to everyone that he is in fact Joe Wildwest. Pauleen drags Joe's human body outside while the rest of the gang thinks about how they can stop ZZ. Once Pauleen brings Joe's body to them, Joe takes it and holds it in one hand, both amazed that he can actually look at himself without a mirror, and also wondering if he'll ever be able to actually return to his real body. In his current state he can't just hop back into his own head, so.... is he stuck like this???

-After talking to the staff leaders, sending them to infiltrate the castle, and them failing miserably, Dina gets the bright idea to have Joe fly her and Rupert to the castle. Joe obviously does not wanna do it, but Dina points out his giant freaking wings, and that he might be powerful enough to actually fly through the storm. Joe is hesitant, but he's willing to try. So, Rupert leaps into Dina's pocket, Joe hands his human body off to Todd and Pauleen, Dina climbs onto Joe's head, and the three set off to ZongaZonga's castle.

-To Joe's surprise, they actually make it (despite some major turbulence and Dina nearly being blown off of Joe at least once). Dina immediately rushes to face ZZ and fights off his zombiesaurs. Joe thinks that Dina's got this, at least until ZZ leaves Rupert's body and transforms himself. Joe doesn't miss this opportunity and leaps in front the zombie king to do battle.

-Aaaaand they beat the shit out of each other. At first, Joe actually had the upper hand, as he had surprised zz who was not ready to fight joe. However zz overpowers him and knocks him unconscious, leaving Dina to finish the sorcerer off. Zz dies, and the castle starts to fall apart.

-Dina manages to wake joe up with her pickaxe and he shakily gets up and flies the kids back to Cranial Isle and everyone is like "What now". Joe unceremoniously collapses though, and his form dissipates back into a skull.

-Everyone is shocked by this but Joe suddenly bounces up and over up to his human body and yayyyyy he's got his body back! Everything is good now! No more dragon shenanigans though.

-...until like a couple days later Dina finds a certain giant winged lizard SLEEPING IN THE LAVA AT MT. KRAKANAK.

-Joe has learned he can transform at will! Let the dragon shenanigans ensue!

Hey anon - I'm afraid you've got me muddled up with the tags from @buckets-of-dirt from this post who im sure can tell you ALL about that given the opportunity

australia doesnt really have pre-contact textiles per se in terms of a weaving type technology. but sewing and working with skins, as well as string and cord making was very common

not an archaeologically common find - but i love them and even though Wally is the one you want to talk to, imma tell you all about these anyway because i love them. 

possum skin cloaks - they typically started for a baby, and then were added to and grown as the child aged. they dont typically survive from past periods since individuals were often buried in them

hey!! i dont think youve posted abt this yet so… tell me abt your fav characters!!! :D

im about to ramble and expose some weakpoints on the internet so heres a cut !!! im gonna talk about the three that are in the forefront of my mind at the moment !! maybe this will change if you ask me in a months time,,, maybe not !!! mwah thank you for sending me asks sweetie

lots of history with this girl; soo i found out about her during my first mugen phase ? so like 11-13ish,, there was a genre of character that was modeled to play like smash bros characters, and in looking those up, i found one of this weird woman... hong meiling was her name ? she was related to this weird frog girl whose hat was evil and maybe the mcdonalds song girl ? whatever the case i needed to download her. and i couldnt because the download was down. this sent me uo the wall for several years and implanted her name into my brain,, up until i got into touhou proper thanks to you actually !!

so now im learning about the lore and the characters, and turns out theres more to this meiling than being elusive and pretty !!! so this gloomy, scary place behind one of the touhou worlds most significant battles is guarded by this friendly, easygoing redhead ? and shes fiercely loyal and protective of the mansion as well as gensoukyou, despite being employed by people who almost ate the world right up ? thats so wonderful !! shes so cool !!! and she takes care of flowers, and canonically doesnt like dodging bullets and tries catching them instead, and no one has any idea of what she is...!!!! theres so much to her !!! but most of all, the absolute tragedy of some of her mansionmates getting boatloads of development and lore, while shes,, basically in the same place she started in ? even flan did ! but meiling still gets depicted as just lazying about, despite that trait of hers being in favour of working in the scarlet devil mansion, which people fear and dont visit ? or rather used to... so she should have evolved along with it,, so that sadness also makes me even more attached to her in a way !!

i know shes not the most mistreated character in touhou or anything, far from it since shes a th6 girl and those get Everything and everyone sick of them but... idk !! id love to see more of her shine someday ouo

like shes drenched, positively oozing with lore and content, and its all so utterly relevant and unique that i cant possibly talk about any of it because i cant be bothered to spoiler tag this,, but like,, reading between the lines of the fiction and uncovering lil things about her and what shes like was the most fun ive had during my dngnrnpa phase, to the point that,, here she is still !! at the tippy top !! and because of things youre intimately familiar with russell, you probably know shes probably gonna stay !! im very sentimental like that

and it wasnt even just lore either, her design kind of instantly drew me to her back when i was part of the original animes speculation circle and,, wow suddenly my sonas attire seems a little um,, familiar doesnt it : ...i promise i had other inspiations for ir too óuo;

finally this girl !! much like is the theme here, some lore to my meeting this one !!! this one predates even meiling, since i think i was 9 or 10,, see there was a broadcast channel here called animax, and its responsible for a lot of my taste even nowadays,, from the name you can guess it broadcast all sorts of dubbed anime all day long, most of which i absolutely should not have been watching at that age, like hellsing and gantz oops... well there was this other one which until like 4 years ago i only had the faintest recollection of,, i think there were demons in it or something,, mostly i remember being infatuated by the blonde girl

well 2018 comes around and the memory of this lady shoots straight into my brain in the middle of a call with you russell, which you might remember ! i describe to you what it looks like and tell you that i think a guy kills her and she has him help kill bad guys or else hell kill him right back ? and you, through intense googling, eventually are able to tell me it was called lunar legend tsukihime. woag ! lore unlocked

i wiki crawl for a while out of curiosity and find out that she has a fighting game that kinda rules, and that everyone hates the anime and you should read the visual novel instead and,, hey were making a visual novel at some point huh russell ? maybe i should study up on this tsukihime thing,, apparently its pretty influential,, and

obviously arcueid is ridiculously charming and fun, and every second with her is a mildly exciting, mildly creepy (fun way) delight, and its hard not to absolutely love her for that alone !! but also like,, much like the love for meiling started like a new phase in my life, arcueid did the same thing, in a very wonderful way ? a phase where were both really into this thing and talking about it so often and making so many new ideas about it together,, were playing higurashi currently and it feels like an extension of this, of her, and like,, its so special

i love what meeting arcueid again after 10 years did for me

dont know how yet. but toying w the idea of something along the lines of— the apocalypse goes wrong, but instead of falling into the cage, michael and adam are shot back in time. something about michaels wings being injured his grace being leeched away so they cant just pop back to their time. michael says he will heal in time hoping it will be quick but. it is not.

~200 years sharing a body on earth. adam grappling with the past and history. michael actually living among humans within a vessel with no big Purpose other than just waiting to heal. building a life over and over again before having to move on before people notice how adam doesn’t age. living through horrible events not being able to change anything. michael thinks god will find them, adam tries increasingly ridiculous ways of contacting the future that never work out. looking for angels who would hopefully help them. something with lily sunder. meeting monsters esp immortal ones. maybe they even meet rowena who knows. reaching the year kate milligan was born.

eventually realizing like. what would they even do when they got back to their present? both of them are entirely changed, different, faithless. neither of them even have something to get back to. over a hundred years waiting only to realize they weren’t waiting for anything, really.

and i think it ends oh somewhere still a while before their present but it’s chuck decides he wants to use michael so he heals his wings and his grace and they only want to use it to travel within the past but chuck pulls them to 2019. still missing a decade. this time michael doesn’t go back to chuck in the end because he spent all that time with humanity and doesn’t see how destroying them could be in any way good. and from there? no idea. happily ever after or whatever.

thinking of all the different types of soulmate aus i loved in my youth and their midam potential.

everything u draw shows up on them? adam doodling on his arm and in heaven everyones like um michael there is. i think thats a flower? allll up in u.

seeing in black and white until you meet your soulmate? the first time adam sees color is when he looks at michaels true form and then immediately hes in the cage for a thousand years. something something dreamscape in his memories all black and white even though he Should be able to see color vs michaels angel memories being his only exposure to a colorful world.

telepathy? adams twirling his hair trying to mind flirt with his soulmate and michael’s like. just another prayer !! why is it so loud. hush, little human, pray a little quieter

timer on the wrist? adam dies before it runs out but it keeps going in heaven he thinks he’ll meet them there and then he’s too wrapped up in yk. being tortured and abandoned and possessed to realize it ran out. (could it be bobby or something? why would it be him. well who else did i meet before you dragged me down here?)

stop aging until you meet your soulmate? adam has a nifty excuse for why he looks like hes 19 (but not for why he vanished for 10 years) and michael worries that he’ll prevent adam from knowing he’s met his soulmate so he makes himself a new body and adam immediately starts aging.

body swap for a day? oh baby. adam wakes up and he’s suddenly an incomprehensible being who is expected to Literally Run Heaven but he’s honestly a little more stressed out about the fact that apparently GOD (or his stand-in) is gonna be taking his finals that day. can only hope god knows how to do calculus.

Dumb Ways to Die..BG3 Edition!! Part: 2

Long post EXTREMELY LONG POST...okay maybe, probably not that long?? DEFINITELY LONG and Possible spoilers?!? I'm not sure read at your own peril! IT'S TOTALLY WORTH IT THOUGH🤣

We left off with Astarion and Wyll trying to kill a couple of gate goblins to free the spiders. If you remember Halsin told me to kill the BIG THREE Goblin Camp Leaders. Shadowheart and my ALT character are trying to kill off the random goblin that joined the fight when Granny Gut (one of the BIG THREE) steps in. Now compared to the other 2 bosses she is a walk in the park. But she does come with her own annoying small pack of goblin mobs.

Wyll and Astarion FINALLY kill off the gate spamming guards and unlock the doors, the spiders are estatic and start helping me kill off the goblins. As I foretold my ALT and Shadowheart make quick work of Granny Gut and killing off the extra few stragglers proves to be a breeze. I'm calling this a WIN. About this time I am going around looting bodies cause.. 🤑🤑🤑🤑🤑🤑CHA CHING🤑🤑🤑🤑🤑

I was also totally not tabbed out looking at ASTARION TIKTOKS 🥰When I tab back in the spiders are gone and I'm like ohhh probably should find them. Around this time is when I should have healed up with more than potions. This is where I should have been the voice of reason the MOM of the group and taken a Long Rest...

Yea I should have been this person but... instead I go in search of the spiders and find their smoldering dead corpses. And the part of me that lost them as fighting allies is sad and morns them. But not before I roll a NAT 20 in OVER-CONFIDENCE! I dont need them, they were just spiders I can kill the rest of these mobs I've done it before this is nothing now that I killed the majority of them. I walk my party to a side enclave we'll call it, its RIGHT before one of the big bads. I walk right past them they arent thinking that I'm a threat. THAT IM A TOTAL EDGE LORD COME TO SUNDER THEM!!!!! That I'm about to ruin their day, now I dont always spin my camera around.......I probably should have...

In my over-confidence I attack said goblins. There's only 3 right....WRONG...HORRIBLY WRONG. No in the doorway of which I stood was a room that I thought void of creatures instead I was greet with 3 goblins to my back quite literally I was in a tight spot when they called upon WORG companions. This is fine.....everything is fine..I am fine WRONG! My presence in killing off these goblins has alerted the nearby attention of

DROR RAGZLIN whelp im fucked...

We pick off mob after mob that dealt us devastating blows. Remember that I had not taken a LR (Long Rest) soooo I had NO spell slots for anyone... and (cough,cough Shadowheart) a cleric with no spell slots to heal just... just becomes a glorified DPS. And if you know/love Shadowheart..please dont come for me but ma'am.....

10/10 Misses everything AGAIN!

She was the first too fall, calling to me for aid I helped her up (though it was pointless) Dror Ragzlin's rage was just too much for her. About this time I was waiting for it too go through initiative. My ALT is almost dead popping health potions left and right, Astarion is barely hanging on.. As I stare down Dror Ragzlin with an intensity that screams IM STILL STANDING!!

and thats when it dawned on me... I'm going wait OMG where is WYLL did he LEAVE me?? Did he get killed and I just cant see him?? I look to my party list and notice that Wyll is very much alive and well infact, he has full health and i'm sitting there in my 4AM stupor wondering when was the LAST TIME I used him in this long list of initiative rolls..... Remember when I said to remember that I UNGROUPED WYLL to save the spiders.... and remember me saying in PART: 1

☠️☠️☠️ALWAYS REMEMBER TO GROUP YOUR PARTY☠️☠️☠️

This is why, when I realized that Wyll had infact not been fighting with me this entire time I grouped him into the party and walked him into combat. Together with Astarion and Shadowheart lying helpless on the floor Wyll and I fought, struggled to keep alive against Dror Ragzlin and two of his minions. Until even Wyll too fell unable to carry on and then it was only Me, Myself and I contemplating what my options were with 3 health, no potions, no party members, no spell slots, no sleep and the VERY LIKELY possibility that I would have to load into my last save again......

😨😱😰

my last save...NOOOOOOO...I pull up the load menu while its still my turn. And I scroll down the list of saves that I have made ONLY to come to the horrible conclusion that my last save... Was made in the dungeons where I had only JUST rescued Halsin..ALL of my progress with the small goblin mobs, saving the spiders, killing Granny Gut, ALL the loot.

ALL GONE...ALL of it had to be REDONE.

I succumbed to defeat, in my pain, my loss I laughed through it. A learning lesson we'll call it. I ended my turn without doing anything more and took the killing blow! I loaded into my last save, and sat stunned and dumbfounded..how much more easier would it have been if I had taken that long rest, if I had GROUPED my party members back together.

Let my pain, my mistakes be a lesson for all! Carry on with this knowledge my fellow adventurers.😅❤️

day 7 of sappho!

oops i forgot to post these last few days! and ive already lost count of what day it is! i think its day 7? happy 1 week anniversary

umm so. what has happened.

i figured out how to replant tortimer's island palm trees, so i should be able to catch beetles soon

i began laying out my flowers, so i'll soon have pretty flower walkways!

garden store is open!!!!

which means i got an axe, and was able to cut down some poorly placed trees!

i grinded for a bunch of flowers today @ tortimer island :]

im getting the qr code machine soon!

i joined club tortimer but im probably never gonna use it because i hate multiplayer with ppl i dont know

got a bunch of house exterior upgrades

new villagers! marcel and tammy!

i opened the campsite!

ive been trying to get new pwp suggestions, but none yet :,) i'll try again tomorrow

god whenever i say pwp i think im talking about smut.

oo also, i ordered some cute stickers from amazon to decorate my 3ds with. i cant believe ive never done that ??

ok, now for some future plans:

i really need to get some new bridges because i absolutely hate where mine is placed currently. but i dont want to build a new one yet bc i want it to be a pretty one, since if it isnt, im just gonna end up wasting money by destroying it later, if that makes sense....im stingy with money both irl AND in-game!!

i was planning on making the area outside the train stop full of pink flowers, but ive instead filled it with pansies. i might go back to pink, but idk.....

also: how long does it take for fruit to regrow??? also trees take forever ???? ik im just being impatient but damn.

oo also villagers. now that i have the campsite, im excited! honestly, the only villagers of mine that im attached to rn are opal and rosie. so if anyone wants to be notified in case my other villagers move out, lmk!

and now for a nostalgia rant. in one of my previous towns, i think 2018? i had some amazing villagers that i really miss — pancetti and merengue. i love them so much! if anyone has them, please let me know because i love them!!! i miss them!! come back home, im so sorry for leaving you!!!!!!!!!

(btw, i have some old qr codes i made from 2018. the photos are kinda shitty since i took them with my phone, but maybe i'll post them here!)

i see people being like "mike knew the painting was for a crush so when he saw will bring it to meet him, he should have known it was for him" BUT,, a few minutes after mike asks about the painting he asks "are your friends going to meet us there?" and he looks back at will -- e* says no, she wants the day to just be for them, but will doesnt say anything and despite what she said, her "friends" show up anyway. is it really so hard to believe... that mike thought will brought the painting to give to someone at the roller rink?

“After I run I turn purple”

Due to my worrying, sedentary lifestyle, I decided to go for an innocent lil jog around my neighbourhood. I know it’s not ‘me’ but i felt that it was super necessary given my weight gain and lack of activity. I also noticed my skin getting a bit duller. Or maybe it’s because I have not refilled my moisturiser. 

People all around keep telling me that a fit, summer body can only happen with exercise. And because I eat A LOT, a diet is not really my style. So i decided to just change into my gym clothes (lol seriously do i even have these?) and start small! I also had a lot on my mind so it was a good opportunity to just let it out, i guess. 

I should have seen the signs when my earphones were tangled. Or my Airpods were not charged. My rubber band also broke so i had to wear a butterfly clip while running. A million, small things just in the way. But i charge through them all! 

Anyway the point of this post is not to share the endorphins i got after running. It is, in fact, to talk bad about running because it has never made me feel good. All my life, I never understood why people felt amazing after a workout. Like what are you talking about......what are you smoking? How do you even smile after running, or go to grab a coffee? By the time I am done, I am sweating buckets and my glasses keep falling down my nose bridge. Its really annoying. 

My relationship with working out and exercise has always been confusing because everytime i attempt to be healthy, i get a harsh reminder: I will always get SUPER weak after a run—lethargy, dizzy spells, nausea, you name it. The worst was a FEVER after a home workout from Blogilates. Like how does that even happen? Also dont even get me started on HOME WORKOUTS. I have a strong dislike towards them; I dont trust them and I dont trust their happy smiles. Its scary. 

Yesterday’s run propelled me to google my symptoms because when i came home my sis looked at me and called me a “beetroot brinjal”. I WAS PURPLE. NOT Clinique-rosy purple. It was PURPLE and BLUE. You know Violet Beauregarde from Charlie and the chocolate factory? 

I was so intrigued by my complexion because i looked like an alien. How do i even get blue to my face? I am tanned and brown. Doesnt really make sense. I looked like I was about to pass out and I was walking sideways. When i was sitting down in front of the fan, I started to stare into space too. I felt sick and was just so out of it. My stomach felt like it flipped. And I was burning. It was just so so hot, even after a shower. It was just weird. I had fried rice after the entire ordeal to appease my hunger pangs. But afterwards was compelled to rummage for chocolate in the fridge because my tummy felt funny again; like a mix of acidity and tightness. I do not know if the chocolates were a good solution, but it made me less fidgety.

Curious to find out what the deal was, I went to google about getting purple hues after a run and there were two answers from the web. One, that I’m healthy (yea OK no), and the second being a severe lack of oxygen from anemia and low hemogoblin levels. It was recommended that creatures of this path were to refrain from high intensity workouts because the body, simply put, just can’t handle it. WHICH IS WHY I CANT DO THE DAMN HOME WORKOUTS omg. Sometimes purple hues also appear because of exercise intolerance (LOL), but it can easily be trained and improved. Instead, opt for Pilates and yoga—lighter intensity regiments—that could tone and strengthen the body. 

I always wanted to be one of those gym girls who are super toned and healthy! But now i also realise that what works for them might not work for me. Everyone’s exercise regime is completely different! My sis is amazing at stamina and strength, but when it comes to dancing, she can’t do it—and dance is, too, a form of cardio and calorie-burning! My brother is Mr Incredible when carrying weights at the gym. He looks very fit and buff, but I have never seen him run in my life. 

As for me?? I’m still figuring out what works for me. But I think I have come to accept that sometimes I’m just a late bloomer. I was that academically, as well. So even though im 26 years in, I will take it slow to find my own rhythm. Might even consider taking ballet classes again for a good stretch or a daily brisk walk. Whatever it is, I just need to listen to my body and give it grace. <3
