First session of working towards blind retrieves, I'd give it a 6/10. Lots to work on but Mav is a solid and happy little dog!

#dogblr #maverick #dog training #retrieve training #blind retrieves #okay so my issue was i didnt properly charge the bumpers #these are new and therefore fairly low value #i did like three fun retrieves and then went straight to drilling #and this is a very high distraction area! #there were like five offleash dogs in the near vicinity #which was my second downfall #i shouldve scrapped the plan when i saw how busy this place was #but i pushed through #we ended on a good note though so #in a few days we can try again #please note for those watching the video that this is foundation work for blind retrieves #im teaching mav to 'line up' #ie run in a straight line in the direction i send him #ill film from a better angle next time!
