Mangang New Years Eve Plans

The Girls + Mikorin wanted to go to a street fair and honestly who can say no to the combined cuteness of Chiyo, Kashima and Mikorin? And the terror instillled via Seo

So they went to the fair!

Mayu was physically dragged there but he went!

Originally they were all together but eventually the couples broke off on their own

Waka and Seo dipped first bc Seo ran off to a stall and Waka had to go find her and by the time he did the others were already gone

They spent the evening winning prizes at game booths...well Seo wining them and Waka trying.

Poor bby learned that night that basketball is very different from a ring toss

When the countdown hit midnight they were in the middle of a game so they kinda missed it lol

But when Seo walked Waka home she gave him the prizes(they were all things he likes and Waka didn’t even realize lmao) and patted him on the head so all in all good evening

Waka like 4 hours later waking up in a cold sweat: WAIT THAT WAS A DATE

Next to peace were Nozaki and Chiyo. Nozaki INSISTED to get photos of the fireworks they needed the OPTIMAL location and needed to start as early as possible(Nozaki it’s like 8pm chill)

So they got food from a stall and parked down on the grass with like 5 blankets bc Chiyo brought 1 to try and be romantic but Nozaki somehow ended up with all of the ones Mayu was wrapped in when he dragged him to the fair so. 5 blankets.

At least it’s comfy

Let’s assume here that they’re already together or at least like Nozaki is under the impression they are BUDDY YOU NEED TO COMMUNICATE

One they’re done eating Nozaki just pulls Chiyo into his lap and rests his chin on the top of her head and wraps the blankets around them both so it’s comfortable

Nozaki’s a hugger I’m sure of this

So Chiyo’s just malfunctioning bc she’s sitting in Nozaki’s lap?!?! Holy shit?!?!?

But it’s comfortable and warm so she fell asleep it’s very uwu and I don’t use that term lightly

She woke up to the fireworks going off at midnight and Nozaki thinking she was still asleep pressing a kiss to the top of her head it’s very soft we’re talking soft hours here people

After Chiyo “woke up” for real Nozaki walked her home. He offered to carry her but that plus carrying blankets did not end well

He kissed her on the cheek when he dropped her off and did a little victory dance once she closed the door bc he’s a DORK

Very wholesome very cute mildly chaotic we stan Chiyozaki in this household

Kashima, Mikorin, Hori, and Mayu actually stuck together for most of the fair

Bc Kashima and Mikorin are the cutest BFFs ever and Hori and Mayu are lowkey whipped

Eventually Mayu tapped out and went to go home around 10. Hori went in good senpai mode ™ and insisted he couldn’t walk home alone this late

Mikorin vibrating at a high frequency: I’ll walk him home no big deal

So they walked to the Nozaki place

Mayu was honestly half asleep at this point(lowkey I HC him with chronic fatigue) so Mikorin helped him upstairs to make sure he got back safely

Mayu invited him to stay and after Mikorin went through the cycle of a flirting line and then IMMIDIETLY panicking they hung out in Mayu’s room and played video games

Nozaki Mayu Mario Kart Champ I’m sure of it

When their phones beeped at midnight they were in the middle of a race but Mayu paused the game

“Dude why’d you pause the game I was-“

Mayu, master of absolutly zero subtly, yanks Mikorin in and kissed him

Mikorin.exe has stopped working

Did Mayu press play on the game and win while Mikorin was frozen? Yes. Yes he did.

After Mayu and Mikorin left Hori and Kashima just kinda chilled out at a table with some candy and fair desserts

It was getting later so they were just waiting for the fireworks at this point

Downside of them being stationary was that Kashima’s fan club had found them

Now Kashima is a sweetheart and she’ll flirt without hesitation like 99.8% of the time

This was that 0.1% she wouldn’t bc she was on a DATE! With HORI!

Did he know this was a date honestly probably not but that’s not the point

So Kashima’s talking and joking but Hori can tell her heart isn’t really into it. Yeah she looks kinda sad time for Hori to step in.

Kicking Kashima under the table HARD MIGHT I ADD Hori started fake coughing and put his head in his hands

“Ugh you know what I think I’m gonna head home I feel sick”

Kashima, catching on: “Oh no! I’ll take you home senpai! You ladies should go enjoy the fireworks for me. Admire their beauty though I’m sure your own surpasses all of them”

Yeah okay that line might actually make Hori sick for real

Eventually they made it to a secluded area of the fair that was still vaguely close so they could see the fireworks

They’re both slumped against the back of a game stall but the second they lock eyes they just burst out laughing bc of course that would happen to them

Once they calmed down a little Hori scooted closer and pulled Kashima into him with his arm around her waist and leaned his head on her shoulder as the fireworks started

They had to walk home separate incase one of the fan girls said but they walked home happy and that’s what matters

I mean Nozaki is obvious. Shoujo manga/anime. He prefers slice of life ones over fantasy or magical stuff bc he gets more invested in the characters. He is guilty of rewriting endings if he doesn’t like them though...

Chiyo also likes shoujo manga! She’s not really picky about the genre as long as the male love interest is tall dark handsome...totally not bc they look like Nozaki. Chiyo was definitely a Twilight girl I mentioned this in a past post. YA Romance books in general I think she’d get sucked into.

Seo(despite being you know, herself) takes music very seriously. She goes to operas and orchestra shows, definitely has a favorite composer and will throw hands about it, and probably knows a lot about music theory and history. It’s still Seo though, so she’s definitely more of a fan of modern composers bc “I mean yeah they’re talented but it’s just a bunch of old dead guys”.

I stand by that Mikorin likes kpop and jpop. He likes girl groups, but if there’s a boy group he gets into he goes just as hard. Definitely collects albums and is a soft stan. Cried when BTS won their first billboard music award. Also gets extremely protective when people try to sexualize underage idols. It’s the only time he gets into arguments online.

Hori likes musicals. Enough said. He’s a theater nerd and he likes musicals and he likes technical stuff and music and yeah Hori likes musicals.

Okay hear me out. Kashima likes fashion. She was able to put together the nice feminine outfit for Hori(to his chagrin) and she seems to have a good eye in general. That plus her being pretty smart I think she’d be good at analyzing clothes trends and figuring out what looks good on who regarding different styles and popular looks.

Wakamatsu likes Pokémon. I think he was the little kid that got Pokémon gold on his game boy at age like 4 and just continued liking Pokémon. Always chooses water types bc “Nobody ever picks them first”. Goes HARD in battles and shows no mercy.

A thought that won’t leave my head after the incorrect quote I posted the other day.

Oikawa latches onto Hori mostly bc dramatic buddies but also bc it makes Iwaizume soooo pissed.

And Hori understands being a petty bitch so he’s like aight fuck it this is a new breed of annoying and it’s funny.

Cue Iwa trying to come up with reasons to hang out with Nozaki(who you KNOW he tried to befriend bc “bro what’s your workout?” “I carry a lot of paper up and down the stairs”) just to go to the drama club.

Kashima is in on it. So is Suga. Nobody else is.

Chiyo is having a crisis ™ bc she’s not into Iwaizume she’s NOT! But both he and Nozaki together are too much.

Nozaki is confused bc cool he has a new friend but why does he keep asking about “gains” and hanging around the auditorium if he wants to help out Hori would probably say yes...

Tsukishima is FUMING. No he’s not jealous shut up Yamaguchi.

Wakamatsu is stressed ™ bc Yamaguchi is stressed ™ and Waka is a good supportive bf(we stan)

Seo’s getting live updates texted to her via Sugawara and has recruited Tanaka and Noya(and a much more unwilling Asahi) into dramatically reenacting what happens.

Mikorin’s just kinda lost. Why does Oikawa call himself the king? Why is he here. How is he so smooth? What’s his skincare routine? Why is Nozaki standing in the corner with another buff guy? What is happening?

Interesting thought and oops I may have made Mikorin cry a little but it’s all good after

So Ennoshita is a sweetheart we know that

Eventually Oikawa decided “desperate measures time”

Desperate measure being after the game pushing Kyoutani and Mikorin into a closet and not letting them out

Meanwhile Ennoshita’s lowkey stressed bc Mikorin is gone? And his phone is in his bag which he clearly doesn’t have? Is he okay?

Meanwhile Mikorin is trying to awkwardly be like “look you’re cool I guess also you scare me a lot but I have a boyfriend please don’t beat me up”

Which is difficult bc 1. He’s Mikorin. And 2. Kyoutani has resting bitch face and that’s terrifying

Eventually Oikawa was like “fuck fine I give up” totally not bc Iwaizume threatened him and unlocked the closet

...yeah Ennoshita walking into the hallways to see a stressed/flustered looking Mikorin leaving a closet with the opposing team’s Ace spiker?

Not a great moment

Cue Mikorin fucking BOOKING IT towards Ennoshita trying to be like “I swear it’s not what it looks like wait that sounds like it is but it’s not CHIKARA!”

Kyoutani has FUCKED OFF meanwhile bc mans has self preservation and did not wanna deal with that. Plus nothing happened so not his problem

It wasn’t pretty tbh. Ennoshita gives a MEAN cold shoulder and Mikorin was suffering for like a week straight until Kashima marched down to Karasuno bc okay WHO MADE HER BFF CRY

“Lmao rip Ennoshita nice knowing you bro”-Tanaka probably

After a mild threatening, a FaceTime with Iwa and Oikawa via Hori’s phone in the drama club room, and Ennoshita banging his head against a wall for a minute bc hooo boy he fucked up, Kashima dragged took Ennoshita to Mikorin’s

She dropped him off at the door, knocked, yelled it was her, and BOOKED IT away before Ennoshita could panic bc what the FUCK Kashima?!

Ennoshita’s heart lowkey broke bc Mikorin looks kinda awful and the second he sees who’s at the door Mikorin is just SOBBING

Frantic apologies for not fighting against going in the closet and explaining nothing happened and it’s. Just really sad to watch tbh nobody wants to see Mikorin cry even if it’s kind of a common occurace

After a long conversation and more of Mikorin crying everything got sorted out and that’s when the “serious conversation” happened

But it all worked out in the end. And if Ennoshita bribed Tanaka to spike a ball at Oikawa’s face for causing all this trouble then nobody has to know

Look, Nozaki knew what he was getting into when he started dating Chiyo, and he knew what he was getting into when they brought Mikorin into the mix. They were excitable people, always moving and their emotions were strong and loud.

That being said Nozaki did not expect to get a text from Hori to go get Mikorin and Chiyo from the drama club dressing room. Well technically the message went more along the lines of,

“Nozaki come get your idiots out of the dressing room I am tired”.

Nozaki definitely didn’t expect to arrive at the dressing rooms to see Chiyo’s sleeve stuck in the closed door, as she yelled for Mikorin to open it so she could escape it’s clutches. 

“Umm...Chiyo? What happened?”

Chiyo jerked her head up. “NOZAKI!”

“Is Nozaki here?” Mikorin’s voice was muffled behind the door but he sounded upset. 

“Yeah Nozaki is here.” Chiyo banged on the door. “Open the door Mikorin! We can’t help you if you don’t and I’m stuck to the door so you need to open it ANYWAY!”

Nozaki could feel a faint throbbing behind his left eye. Is this how Hori felt all the time? He’d need to apologize to him if that was the case. 

He took a deep breath before stepping closer to Chiyo and kneeling down to her height. “What happened?”

Chiyo turned red at the closeness but she made eye contact--something they’d been working on with her--and gestured to her sleeve. “Mikorin was asked to help with a costume fitting but it ended up being too small a size so he got upset and hid in here and I tried to follow him but I couldn’t catch the door in time so...” she trailed off, gesturing again to her stuck sleeve. 

Nozaki nodded, putting one of his hands on Chiyo’s head lightly as he tried to listen against the door. Sure enough he could hear faint sniffles on the other side, most likely from Mikorin. 

“Hey Mikorin?” He knocked lightly on the door again. “We can’t help you if you don’t open the door.”

“...no” Mikorin’s voice was quiet, which made Chiyo and Nozaki share a concerned look. Mikorin only got quiet when it was a deep issue not just embarrassment.

“C’mon Mikorin” Chiyo was whining a little now but she was still stuck in a door. “We want to help you. And even if you dont want our help please open the door for me? My sleeve is still stuck”

There was a quiet click, and slowly the door creaked open to reveal, clad only in an oversized pair of sweatpants with dried tear tracks on his cheeks, Mikorin.

“Oh Mikorin.” Chiyo breathed as she stepped into the dressing room to wrap her arms around his waist, Nozaki following behind to pull them both into his chest. 

“The clothes didn’t fit.” Mikorin didn’t lift his head from it’s place face first in his boyfriend’s chest. “I gave them the sizes that should but they didn’t they were too small even though they should be my size.”

Chiyo rubbed Mikorin’s back lightly with the hand that wasn’t clasping one of his. “Aww Mikorin. You know sizes don’t matter right? Maybe the clothes just run small.”

Nozaki nodded in agreement, not realizing that Mikorin definitely couldn’t see him. 

Still not lifting his head, Mikorin’s response was barley a whisper. “The sizes matter when the only thing you have going for you is your looks.”

Before anyone could blink, Nozaki swiftly lifted Mikorin into his arms and carried him over to the couch along the wall of the dressing room before dropping himself down onto it, pulling Mikorin into his lap. 

Following the boys to the couch, Chiyo watched sadly as Mikorin curled up in Nozaki’s lap, head buried in taller’s neck. She sat down beside them, reaching up to run her hands soothingly through Mikorin’s hair. 

Nozaki was quietly muttering reassurances in Mikorin’s ear, Chiyo chiming in once and a while to agree until Mikorin’s tears stopped falling and he was asleep on Nozaki. 

Chiyo giggled at her cute boyfriend. “Awww I guess he tired himself out.”

Nozaki nodded, before shifting Mikorin slightly in his lap and pulling Chiyo close with his other arm. “I can’t move now might as well sleep.”

Chiyo giggled again before slotting herself against Nozaki’s side, one hand still lightly on Mikorin’s neck.

If when Hori came back to close up the theater and found the three of them cuddled on the couch and took a few pictures on his phone before waking them up to kick them out then he wasn’t gonna tell.

Kashima: Vibin’ to the songs, emotional during the emotional parts. Likes King George best bc she likes his costume. The show isn’t really her style but she’s having fun

Hori: Similar to Kashima but trying suuuuuper hard to pretend he’s not effected by the sad parts but he’s 100% crying. Likes NonStop bc he’s a theater nerd and the setup is super cool
