Adaine sitting at a desk with essentially an eternal dodge on just sending spells around the battlefield is the emotional equivalent of Margaret spending multiple combats banking in Starstruck.

Thank the gods for Brian Murphy. I know other players probably would've gotten there themselves, but having him say plainly what I knew would be their campaign slogan from the moment we met the rat grinders was incredibly therapeutic.

So much of y'all's characterization of Jason Todd only comes after he is dead. You even retroactively apply those traits to him pre-death.

Okay I'm watching the Justice League Action little short things and the Time Share one with Batman and Blue Beetle had me in absolute stitches. Peak use of their individual characters and their relationship within the DC Universe. And the villain! I love when Chronos is just some asshole with tech and he was perfect here. Just a smug little shitbag. Blue Beetle getting to laugh at Batman's little "I am vengeance" speech also fucking sent me. Because I paused the video for a whole minute to get my most severe laughing out of the way so I could hear the show. He's so corny.

I love when people depict Stiles' ADHD in a way that is relatable to mine. Like he was kissing a Hale (guess which one) and had to pause to ask their brand of lip balm? Because he'd been thinking about it and now it mattered and he needed to know like, now. It's such a mood.

A lot of people juxtapose Alfred's parenting of Damian with Bruce's or even Dick's, but I think it makes more sense to compare him to Ra's and I need more of these conversations to happen. Alfred is Damian's grandfather and Dami has such a specific and unhealthy relationship with Ra's that it makes it much more interesting to explore how Alfred dotes on Dami in comparison to how Ra's treated him.

I love when I remind myself that I am not always a victim of groupthink. And maybe it's just my comic book history knowledge that made me know about halfway through the episode that Lois was going to jump off a roof or throw herself out of a window at some point because it's a pretty big comic book trope from the Superman's Girl Friend Lois Lane comic from way back. So I was anticipating it and was thrilled for it when it happened. I understand that there are reasons why that's not okay, but that's not really a concern of mine? Lois does a lot of shit that is a little fucked if you squint at it hard, she's not a perfect person and even the show has been expressing that. It's about her learning to reign that in and use it to become one of if not the best journalists in DC comics.

The Justice League, sitting around after a routine meeting:
Wally looks at Superman, who is basking in the sun: Hey man, do you produce oxygen?
Superman: Um, no? Literally why and how would I produce oxygen?
Bruce, laughing so hard on the inside: You don't have to eat or breathe and you use sunlight as nourishment. You're basically a plant, Kal.
Superman: But I don't consume carbon dioxide? There are no chemical reactions taking place within my body.
Diana: Well we know that's not true.

I truly love watching Robin be so much like Batman in the Teen Titans show because it's wholly absent of Bruce in any way except all the ways that he's painfully present.
Like this whole episode
(The Quest)

"You couldn't just take a class could you? You had to travel the world."
No, you couldn't! Because you're just like your father. You lost a singular fight and it threw you into such turmoil that you left your team to go on a galavant to meet some shadowy "Master" you weren't even sure existed. To make sure it never happened again. That you wouldn't be caught that far off guard ever again.
Because Robin went into that fight truly thinking there was no way this GROWN MAN was going to beat him. Peak hubris and he's usually right! When your own life is confirming your constructed narrative, what reason besides forced humility do you ever have to question it? And that is such a Batman/Robin/etc. conflict to confront. When your competency and training hit the road, what is revealed when the rubber burns away? Robin pushes himself in this episode and has to be reminded to be polite to the old lady he meets or even to consider her. And that inadvertent selfishness also echoes Batman in such a deeply fucked up way, I'm simply obsessed.

We all agree the green lantern ring was making the cape longer in Ring Toss right?

Like it's preternaturally long in this show anyway, but it just seems so much more dramatic outlined in green.

No because the way those extra 16 minutes in the first few episodes makes every episode afterwards so much RICHER. All the lines that become callbacks, all the foreshadowing of future character beats, I'm actually vibrating in ecstatic rage.

Something something the Diamonds abused Peridot specifically by only allowing her knowledge through her screens. She obviously really loves knowledge and learning and knowing things, but seemed completely limited in new data collection beyond her screens. This made her dependent on the Diamonds and genuinely made her believe that they were the best source for knowledge and information, the things she valued above most other aspects of life until she met Steven.
