SOUR BERRIES // LOVE GROWS
title: love grows :: chapter two
characters: haikyuu various x reader
notes: profanity, tsuk*shima (jokes kind of), sugawara being an angel 😍, hinata being a qt, and bestie iwa ofc
summary: after some chaos ensues where hinata and kageyama get kicked out of the gym, the boys come up with the idea for a 3v3 to settle if kageyama can be the setter. of course, you get roped into it, and you're now joining them for 5 am practice.

Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Kageyama and Hinata did not get along. That is exactly what resulted in the two of them getting kicked out of the gym. You stuttered, looking between the three older boys.
You didn’t know them. You only knew the two boys who were now kicked out until they could get along.
You heard Hinata and Kageyama plead with the captain who’s name you learned to be Daichi, though he was determined in his stance that the two needed to work together.
The grey haired boy, Sugawara, told you that you could watch practice for today, then the next day you could go over what you needed to do for manager duties with Kiyoko, the other manager.
You were kind of dazed, honestly. The next thing you knew, Kageyama was challenging Daichi to a 2v2, which he turned into a 3v3 with two other first years that would be joining the team. The penalty if they didn’t win? Kageyama wouldn’t be the setter.
After Daichi put Tanaka on the two boys’ team, he had the idea to meet up and practice, which is exactly why you found yourself standing at the entrance to the school, half asleep at 5 AM.
You weren’t technically supposed to be there, but after exchanging numbers with Hinata, he mentioned it to you, and you both decided joining could be fun.
Your brain was starting to regret that.
Well, that was until you heard a now familiar voice cheer your name. You looked around, spotting Hinata and grinning. “Morning!”
He smiled brightly. “Good morning! How’d you sleep?” The two of you turned, heading onto the school grounds.
“Pretty good! I fell asleep on a call with my best friend.” You hummed, remembering how you had talked Iwaizumi’s ear off about your first day and all the new people you had met.
“Ooo. Do they go here?” Hinata tilted his head.
“Ah, no, he goes to Seijoh!”
“Wait, really?!” Hinata gasped a little. “That’s where Kageyama was supposed to go too, right? It’s one of the best schools in the prefecture?”
“Mhm! I was pretty surprised to see him here. We’ve actually been in school together for a while!”
“Really?” He grimaced. “I don’t even wanna imagine what that’d be like..”
You giggled a little. “You know, if you wanna win this thing you’re gonna have to learn how to tolerate him.” You grinned. “I get that he’s kind of an ass, but he’s not that bad, I promise. He’s kind of awkward, actually.”
“Well, he seems pretty mean to me.” Hinata huffed, putting his hands on his hips dramatically. “I met him last year during a volleyball game. I swore to beat him, but.. Here we are. On the same team. And I have to work with him!” He groaned, and you snickered, the both of you arriving in front of the gym and spotting Kageyama.
“Yo!” You called out, waving at him.
Kageyama looked over, narrowing his eyes at you. “What is she doing here?”
“She’s here to practice. Duh.” Hinata walked up to the doors, pulling on them only to realize they were locked. “Should’ve seen that coming. It’s locked.”
“Okay, lets go through the window.” Kageyama shrugged, and Hinata turned to him, gawking.
“Are you crazy?! We’d end up getting expelled!”
You heard a yawn behind you, turning around and seeing Tanaka. “Five AM is too early..” He had his hands in his pockets, trying to keep warm.
“Tanaka?” Hinata blinked, looking at the older boy.
“You got two hours! And then, beat it.” Tanaka grinned, spinning the keys to the gym in his hands.
You gasped. “Woah! Cool, dude!”
“You’re awesome!!” Hinata cheered.
“Thank you!” Kageyama spoke, though didn’t show nearly as much visible enthusiasm as Hinata.
“Aha! Yeah, who’s your hero first years?! Call me Sir Tanaka!”
“Sir Tanaka!!” Kageyama and Hinata yelled at the same time, and you cringed.
“That’s a little far.” You eyed Tanaka, and he looked at you.
“Want my help or not?”
You let out a little grumble and sigh. “Sir Tanaka..”
“Alllright!” Tanaka grinned, walking up to the door and unlocking it.
He clicked on the lights, the entire gym brightening, and Hinata gasped. “WOWW!”
“You were just in here yesterday.” Tanaka blinked.
You snickered. “I’ll grab some volleyballs!” You went over to the supply closet, grabbing some, and when you came back out, Sugawara was there.
“Oh– Hey–” You blinked.
Sugawara looked over, smiling softly at you. Tanaka huffed, clearing his throat. “Suga figured out what was going on, so he’s here to help.”
“Oh! Cool! Okay!” You grinned.
..
It had been a while of practicing, and you sat up on the stage while Hinata practiced his receives with Suga. Hinata didn’t seem to be paying attention completely.
“So, like, have you been on the team since you started going here? Oo, and what position do you play?” You tilted your head at Suga.
He hummed. “Yeah! And I’m the team’s setter.”
“Ooo..” You hissed a little. “Nervous about Kageyama taking your position?”
“No, not really.” He shrugged before pausing and blushing. “Ah, sorry, that came out kind of arrogant. I just mean that if he earns it, he earns it. No hard feelings.”
You stared at him for a second. Was he a gift from God? “Marry me.”
Sugawara stuttered, blinking before a heat crept up his neck. “What?”
“Nothing.” You whistled, leaning back on your hands and acting as if you didn't say a thing.
Before you could be questioned, Hinata started bugging Kageyama about setting for him after he had set for Tanaka.
You felt bad for him, honestly. Kageyama had always seemed a little awkward, but he was downright mean to Hinata. It was hard to have too much hatred for him on Hinata's behalf since you had known him for so long, though.
The next guy you met, you couldn't say the same for, though.
..
The next guy you met you couldn't say the same for though. You had briefly met the other two first years during practice, but you didn’t talk to them much since you were mostly shadowing Kiyoko to see what you’d need to do.
You had managed to get Daichi to let you leave a little early with the excuse that you were walking home and since it was dark you wanted to get an early start, but really you had made your way out to where Kageyama and Hinata were practicing. Hinata was still working on his receives, and you were almost certain he was about to catch this one when a hand stuck out above him, catching the ball.
You squawked. “Heyy, he almost had that one!” You huffed, looking up and seeing the other two first years.
The blonde one who was admittedly kind of cute raised a brow. “Are you guys seriously practicing out here? You must be the first years who made all that trouble on the first day.”
The green haired one smiled a little. “T-shirts out here? Aren’t you cold?”
Hinata looked a little in awe of the blonde's height before he started to jump for the ball. “Give it back! Hey!”
“Shouldn’t you elementary schoolers be home at this hour?”
Hinata gawked at him. “Who are you supposed to be?!”
Kageyama raised a brow when he looked over. “I guess you’re the other first year players.”
“Quiet! I’ll do the talking!” Hinata huffed.
“Question. How tall are you?” Kageyama tilted his head.
“Glad you asked! Tsukki happens to be 6’2! He’s almost 6’3.” The green haired one grinned.
“6’2???” Hinata stared, mouth agape.
“What’s the point in you bragging about how tall I am, Tadashi?”
“You’re right. Sorry Tsukki.”
Tsukki and Tadashi then.
Tsukki looked at Kageyama. “You’re Kageyama from Kitagawa First, aren’t you? Tch, a star player like you at a school like this?”
“So?” Kageyama narrowed his eyes, stepping forward.
“Look, Pal! We are not gonna lose to you, do you understand me?!” Hinata huffed, looking up at Tsukki.
Tsukki stared at him before scoffing. “Isn’t that cute? I didn’t realize that little skirmish actually meant something to you, we couldn’t care less about it. But if it means that much to you, I guess we could throw it.”
“WHAATTT?” Hinata gawked at him.
“Fine. Throw it or work yourself to death for all I care. It doesn’t matter ‘cause I’m still gonna win on Saturday.”
“You mean we, right?!”
Tsukki laughed. “So confident! Well that’s the King for you.”
“Hey! Don’t call me that!” Kageyama grit his teeth, stepping forward before you placed a hand on his shoulder, shaking your head.
“I knew it. Rumor has it you lose your cool every time somebody brings up your old nickname. But who wouldn’t want to be the King of The Court? I mean it really suits you, right your Highness?”
Kageyama was shaking with anger and you narrowed your eyes at Tsukki. “That’s enough.” You stepped in front of Kageyama. “I don’t know who you think you are coming over here and fucking with people, but you’re not all that.”
Tsukki raised a brow. “And who are you?”
“Y/N, not that it matters but I went to school with Kageyama and you’re wrong. He’s not like that.” You narrowed your eyes on the blonde.
He scoffed. “Right. I saw him at finals.” He looked back up at Kageyama. “I still can’t believe your teammates put up with all those selfish sets you’d toss up. I know I wouldn’t.” He paused. “Oh, I bet that’s why you’re here, right? They finally got sick of you?”
“Hey, I said that’s enough–” Before you could say anything else, Kageyama moved you out of his way and grabbed Tsukki by the collar.
“Tsukki!” Tadashi gasped, both him and Hinata in somewhat defensive stances.
You and Hinata both stared at Kageyama as he glared at Tsukki before letting him go, turning around and going back to his bag, picking it up. “We’re leaving.”
“Wha–” You sputtered when Tsukki spoke again.
“Running off? Guess the King’s not a threat after all.” You saw the way Hinata’s eyes snapped to Tsukki. “I hope his majesty puts up more of a fight on Saturday–” He tossed the ball up and you’re not sure how it happened, but Hinata was in the air, jumping to grab the ball as Tsukki gawked at him. He landed pretty smoothly too.
“Would you just shut up about the stupid King?! I’m here too!” Hinata glared at him. “You have no idea what I’m capable of!”
“Oh yeah?” Tsukki narrowed his eyes and Hinata grimaced.
“What’s that look for anyway, buddy?! Are you trying to start something with me?!”
Tsukki sighed, smiling. “There’s no need to argue, alright? Let’s all just enjoy playing some volleyball together. It’s just a game, right?”
Hinata furrowed his brows. “What’s that supposed to mean?”
“Exactly what it sounds like. Bye.” He turned around.
Hinata huffed. “Hey, not so fast! You never told me who you are!”
The two boys both turned back to him.
“I’m Kei Tsukishima, Year 1 Class 4.”
“I’m Tadashi Yamaguchi!”
Not Tadashi then.
“As of today, we are officially your new teammates. Even if it doesn’t feel like it. Anyway, I’m looking forward to his Majesty’s royal sets.”
“Cya!” Yamaguchi called out, walking off with Tsukishima.
Hinata and Kageyama glared at the two as they walked away and you huffed, turning around. “What dicks.”
“For real! We should show them who’s boss.” Hinata grinned.
“It doesn’t matter.” Kageyama said, turning around.
“Hey! Where you going?!”
“Huh?” Kageyama turned to him.
“We still have some work to do, don’t we?”
Kageyama stared at him before setting his bag back down.
You don’t know what it was, but those guys really pissed you off, and you were more determined than ever to help Kageyama and Hinata beat those jerks. Especially the stupid blonde one.

Haikyuu as type of boyfriend in a family reunion.
A/N: FINALLY FINISHED WITH THIS!!! WHY DOES IT TAKE ME SO LONG TO DO THIS IN THE BEGINNING ANYWAY???
Tumblr media
He is a joy to be around! He had no problems going up to your relatives and say hi, even gossiping with your aunts a little, and the children, THEY LOVE HIM. Like every child in the party (even the shy ones) all wants to play with him and he participated in any activities that your little cousins made. But that doesn’t mean that he’s neglecting you, no no, every now and then, he would look at your direction and gave you a thumbs up as a sign of he’s doing fine and you don’t need to worry about him, sometimes even asking if you want to participate in the fun! And how could you be worried about him when all he does is light up the reunion and making everyone smile. Your grandparents even ask him to marry you so he could come over more, the two of you flushed in embarrassment from that comment.

Boyfriend!Kiyoomi who looms over you when you talk to his teammates, saying that he’s just making sure they don’t infect you with their germs and swore he’s not actually just jealous about you hanging out with them, no way!

It's like you get to see a completely different person when your stoic boyfriend who is usually reluctant to even hold your hand in public because he’s shy suddenly starts being really, really clingy in the morning. Like you would try to get out of bed and he would simply refuse to let you go. And how can you refuse him when his strong arms encircle your waist, drawing you closer to him, begging in a raspy voice for just five more minutes?

Haikyuu boys when you referred to yourself with his last name
A/N: Married Hq boys headcanons bc yes. Also this is gender neutral reader.
Tumblr media
Fucking dies both on the outside and inside, but can you blame him, he just still can’t believe you married him, so when he hears you said his last name with your first name so naturally when a barista asked for your name so she could identify you from other customers, he just melts. It’s only been a week since you got married but from how natural you’ve become, he’s like “ahhhhhh they married meeee”, his face is red while his heart races miles per hour and he becomes all mushy and cuddly when you’re alone.
- Hinata, Kageyama, TANAKA, Asahi, iwaizumi (he tries to hide his flustered state but failed-), YAMAMOTO, Lev, Bokuto, Atsumu.
On the outside he seems normal, after all, you guys are married for 2 years now. But every now and then when you introduce yourself to new people using his last name, even referring to him as your husband, his heart swells as the tip of his ears turn pink when looked close enough. He knows it’s kind of stupid to feel this way when you guys are married, but he just can’t help it, he’s just so proud to call you his.

He didn’t even notice these girls where looking at him when he only has eyes for you.

A fun game of Seven Minutes Of Heaven with Kageyama Tobio
Kageyama x reader
🔞 Warning 🔞- This is only for 18+ if you are underage, please DO NOT INTERACT you have been warned
You’re at Tsuki’s house or what you and Hinata call “The cake-eating dinosaurs lair” and of course, it’s a first-year sleepover so it’s just you, Kageyama, Hinata, Yamaguchi, and Tsukishima. When you come over everyone is here and they have already discussed all the plans for the night. We eat then watch some Disney movies and ate some pizza. Then you guys go to the basement and all of them are smiling while you’re just confused. Hinata calmly said that we are going to play 7 minutes in heaven. You just look at them and blush you wanted to be with Kageyama so bad it was exciting. First up it was yams and he got Hinata you could hear the giggles from outside of the closet. Then it was Tsuki and he picked yams while they were in the closet you swore you heard kissing but you let it slide. Next, it was Kageyama’s turn you were so scared but anxious thinking to yourself “would he even want to be in the closet with you” and “does he even like you”. While you were questioning yourself the bottle lands on you and when you came to realize it everyone thought you died because your face was pale as a ghost. Then you snapped out of it and were grinning like a fool you both got into the closet and surprisingly it was bigger than you would imagine there was a whole bunch of room left after the both of you sat down. You were trying to get the courage to say something but you couldn’t get anything out before you could even make a noise Kageyama blurts out and says “I’ve liked you for a while so would you like me to fuck you”. You look at him with shock as he covers his mouth he instantly says sorry but you finally get the courage to say “I like you too and I would love that”. As you say that he looks shocked and then he starts moving closer to you grabbing your chin and kissing you on the lips. You were shocked at first but then kissed him back then things started to get heated being a full-on make-out session. Kageyama gets so into it he grabs your neck making your mouth shoot open and at that moment he shoves his tongue in your mouth. You moan at the feeling making him more excited he starts to slowly take off your clothes and he does the same by the time you guys are done making out you both are only in your undergarments. You start to blush to see Kageyama’s body even though helping out with the team you got to see it once or twice when he was whipping off the sweat from playing so much. But you want to see more being the horny slut you are so you start taking off your bra and panties hoping that he would get the hint that you want to start. It worked and now he’s taking off his boxers and you were so surprised you were thinking it’s big but not that big. You start to get excited about having this be your first time with the guy you’ve been crushing on since middle school. Once you finish imagining you feel Kageyama pick you up and set you on his lap. You were afraid to tell him that it was your first time but once you did he said that it was also your first time. You felt relieved and surprised because he was such a good-looking man that you were sure he had sex at least once. Well once you both were ready he gently picks you up and puts the tip and your entrance you moan at the feeling since nothing has ever touched that area before. He then slides it in you moan at the feeling of his cock stretching you out. Once he’s all the way in then waits a minute asking if you’re okay you say yes and you also tell him he could start moving. Once you tell him that he starts to move you up and down his cock you instantly cover your mouth while moaning constantly. He starts getting faster being blinded by the pleasure you do the same now uncovering your mouth to grab onto his back scratching him. While you’re moaning out his name the others have been long gone asleep while tsukishima is pissed since you guys are having sex in his closet. Kageyama just can’t take it anymore and he picks you up laying on your back and then just starts letting it out. You then start screaming from all the pleasure and shortly cum later because of how hard he’s going. As you cum you get tighter than ever before and he starts grunting wanting more but you squeezing his cock is just too much to handle. He then pulls out and cums all over your stomach as he cums you collapse on the floor and he quickly catches you before you fall and gets you cleaned up with the towel that was “accidentally” put there by Hinata. He then puts your clothes on and his clothes on and gently picks you up and lays you on the bed you were supposed to be sleeping on he gets in with you and both of you fall asleep peacefully not knowing the terror Tsuki is going to give you for what you guys did.

💫 FROM NARUTO TO BORUTO FANFICTION💫 #5
Official name: Unexpected
Only here on En here. From author personally.
P.s. sometimes dumb! Oops. (Daichi/dai/day - one person)
- Haha, he's like that because he likes me. But do not think that his feelings were accepted. Mikoto-san.. I was going to leave the Anbu.
Mikoto herself was staring at him. As if she was saying, "Believe..believe..believe.."
- Could you at least roughly describe it externally?
- Of course, she looks like her mother too..She probably dyed her hair, so you can't find it by the red hair from Uzumaki. Knowing her, I think black.
Sasuke looked at him with complete disbelief. The situation began to heat up from the cold..
Daichi didn't like it.
- So, we are honest with you. Otherwise, Menma and I would have stayed at home, because...
- I was also asked to tell about my brother.
And so, the doorbell rings, obliging Day to end the conversation anyway.
- Sakura-chan! Unfortunately, we have already started, but I think Menma can repeat it for you. Come on in, can I pour some tea?
- Yes, it would be nice..
Apparently, Sakura was embarrassed enough by how much attention was paid to her person.
But the young man, on the contrary, finally felt at home.. Not for long, but it was worth it.
- In short, let's talk about my brother first, I'll repeat it later. Besides my sister, I have a brother, but I think he won't resist. Anyway, the guy is friendly, I think if we meet, he will want to get to know you all. But don't forget that he is a Jonin, and his specialty is everything related to fire. Effectively by the way, half of the participants in the exam dropped out.
Orochimaru chuckled contentedly. Indeed, what to expect from such participants.
- And the possession of my techniques?
- I don't think so. Both of them.. Pretty principled and own mostly clan techniques. But.. Hmm, if necessary for sure. And.. I don't know, honestly, that's it.. But we have a lot of friends. I think we would be happy to tell you about them too!
- Does that make sense?..
Sasuke's eyebrows moved to the bridge of his nose again, showing obvious displeasure.
- There is.
- Great! In short, do they still remember the Ootsutsuki clan? Hinata is really married to Toneri. What an irony, a wonderful couple, I would like to see my parents one day.. And their son became a ninja too! For some reason, he decided to stay on earth..
- One such person would not hurt us.. Can you tell me anything about the seals yourself? Or maybe he saw something useful? Maybe a sister, a brother?
-No! - Menma snapped, heading towards the children. - I have a great offer for you - who can beat me one-on-one, I give you tickets to the computer club! A couple of pieces, of course.. Let's go to the backyard!
The children looked at their parents searchingly..
- Go, it's time to practice. Don't break your arms and legs! Daichi said. - "He's already tired, and the topic.. I don't think it's easy for him.."
- Does it mean I can break heads?
- Menma, no!
Day looked at him as if he took it absolutely seriously.
- Menma yes! Calm down already, nanny. They will return healthy. I can't guarantee the rest.
Sasuke swore at that moment that he had let the child go to the battlefield in vain, but Mikoto stopped him.
- I don't think you were raised at all. - Uchiha said, to which Boruto mentally agreed..
- Judging by your tactlessness, too. To some extent, yes, the locals called him a savage. Well, who's to blame that we were all raised by former soldiers. Ah well, who are the first?
- Your idea - so go ahead! Uzumaki plucked up the courage to come forward.
- Oh, well, if you're not afraid, usaratonkachi.. Let's go!
Before anyone could object to him, Menma had already dragged Boruto along with him, smiling broadly.
"Sarada knows the Uchiha techniques, Uzumaki techniques will not be difficult to copy.. And this will be more interesting. He wouldn't mind winning and purely on principle.."
They have already stood opposite each other.
"If I put this arrogant one down, it will be less to show my nose. Only to call names and can.."
The son of Hokage was also ready to tear and throw.
- ..In general, this is what Menma gave us. Maybe about something separately? In my line, datteban'o. Of course, I don't think that my life is somehow remarkable.
- You should tell about those whom you met in battle. I think this will somehow bring us closer to where and how to look for the seal in addition to forests, Day. - We really agreed with Sakura.
Haruno (now already Uchiha) it was pleasing.
But the young man's face on the contrary breathed sadness from the fact that there was nothing left to change.
- It was mostly peacetime, Datteban'ya. However.. At first, they did not pay attention, there were minor thefts.. And then there was Incense. He gathered all the discontented around him, his father thought of a conspiracy, but he could not catch it. Everyone perfectly understood that there was a monastery in the same forest, where all the offended and offended could come.
- Has the civil war started? - Sasuke was the first to realize.
- Yes. I was among the volunteers..
- So they just let you go to war?! What did they want with that, you're not even twenty! Sakura jumped up excitedly. They immediately tried to pull her back, but Daichi wouldn't let her.
- I think you slightly do not understand all the circumstances.. I am twenty-one, I am the only son of the great Naruto Uzumaki and the excellent kunoichi-healer Sakura Haruno.. And he was no different from anything else until then.
The girl sat down.
Yes, he understands.
Understands what the pressure is when you need to earn your name.
- Who knew that it was the military leader Ootsutsuki.. We started not just a civil war, but the Fifth Shinobi World War. I'm sorry... Daichi clenched his fist, turning away. - I can't discuss it. Just be aware that the Uchiha-Uzumaki were there too. I think we were transported here in the same way as they were then. And I have one terrible assumption..
- Spit it out. We should know any for completeness. - Orochimaru nodded at this. The others echoed him..
- That according to Mikoto, they, as elders, also caught this war. But it's useless to ask, I really think the war is the last seal. I don't know how true the assumption is, along with the forest.. I'm sorry, perhaps that's all, datteban'o.
Daichi shook his head, as if trying to banish unnecessary memories. Habitually looked in the direction of the children ..
..At the same time in the backyard.
"Snake"-"sheep"-"monkey"-"pig"-"horse"-"tiger"
Fireball technique.
It is good, however, that they live near the forest. The makeshift playground was already quite battered..
It seemed that Uchiha-Uzumaki attacked by pushing off from the wall of the house with a direct blow, which seemed very much in his style.
A light whistle, a kunai in a couple of millimeters of distance flies right over Menma's head..
- Rassengan!
Menma wins by attacking Boruto's own technique with his shadow clone.
And climbs down from the tree with a satisfied face.
- You should be more careful. Well, of course, you won't get tickets, apparently today is my day, usaratonkachi!
- Do not fall from the joy of victory, topic. - Boruto snorts in the abrasions. His face hurts terribly.. But, of course, he is not going to talk about it.
And Menma fell face first from the tree.

⊹˚. ♡ savior chifuyu x f!reader . 780 + wc . not proofread, angst if u squint ig, idk how to tag this
request : hmm maybe try writing about chifuyus gf walking home by herself because chifuyu has a meeting and like this guy who has a crush on her starts following her home so she calls fuyu to help her cuz she's scared? 🐾
Tumblr media
it was a late night, the crescent moon barely illuminating the dark, empty street you walked on. you speedwalked down the sidewalk, counting the minutes until you'd get home, slightly on edge. you hadn't expected to leave hina's house so late, but you had gotten distracted in a deep conversation with her, leading you to where you are now. matter of fact, you hadn't even expected to be walking home today.
chifuyu stayed the night at your house the previous day, so when you woke up, the first sound to grace your ears was chifuyu whining for you to wake up, so that the two of you could go hang out like you planned. and that you did, you two spent hours riding on his bike, popping in to stores you knew you didn't have the money to shop in, and relishing in one another's presence.
but unfortunately, all good things must come to an end, and chifuyu got a call from a fellow tokyo manji admin, alerting him that there's an emergency meeting at the shrine.
"i'm so sorry, but i can't miss this meeting or else i'm never gonna hear the end of it from draken." he sighed, rolling his eyes in annoyance. the taller had said he would beat chifuyu's ass if he were to miss another meeting or arrive late to one because he was hanging out with you, jokingly of course. hopefully.
"don't worry, i understand." you assured him, gently kissing his temple, causing him to redden. how he always gets so flustered at such a simple gesture, you'll never understand. "you can just drop me off at hinata's, i don't want you to be late to the meeting."
"shouldn't i just take you home? it's gonna get dark soon," he worried, not wanting anything to happen to you. he gets very paranoid when you're without him, especially with rising gang conflicts, chifuyu would never forgive himself if something were to happen to you. "i'll be fine, quit worrying so much." you assured him. it warms your heart that he cares so much for you, but at the same time its somewhat saddening, how he spends so much energy concerning for your safety.
hesitantly, chifuyu took you to hina's. "see you tomorrow," you smile, "call me when you get home." he asks of you, as to make himself feel better. without that reassurance of your safety, he wouldn't be able to get any sleep that night. you give him a smile, kissing him once more before you go off to hina's apartment. you sigh as naoto opens to door for you and you hear the motorcycle revving away.
you were really starting to regret not taking chifuyu up on his offer to take you home, especially when you weren't used to walking home by yourself, let alone at night. chills ran up your spine for every twig you stepped on, for every animal's call you heard, and every figure you saw go by ahead. you start to think about the things you've heard on the news lately, your nerves rose.
as you're in your head, you hear steps behind you. at the speed of light, you whipped your head behind you to see a boy walking behind you, one that seemed the same age as you. he had his hands in his pockets, and a confident pep in his step. you're you've seen him at school, or somewhere else, before, but you couldn't be sure. even as you start to walk faster, you hear his steps get more repetitive, and loud. you could've swore you heard him say your name, but your head was too clouded in fear to think into it.
when a corner store nears, you quickly ran straight into it, whipping your phone out, typing out chifuyu's phone number like clockwork, you knew the sequence of digits like the back of your hand.
"did you get home?"
"no. 'm walking. there's a guy following me. please come get me." you almost feel selfish, a bit dumb, for making chifuyu come get you when he'd insisted on taking you home earlier. he paused, his mind suddenly running a mile a minute.
"where are you at?"
you thought for a moment, looking around. you were initially unsure, since you'd ran into the building so quick. thankfully you recognize the interior signs, letting him know where you're at.
"i'll be there. don't worry, babe." you can just tell he felt so cool saying that, making you smile despite your anxiety.
only chifuyu is able to make your worries wash away so fast, the sound of his bike revving sounding like music to you when you finally hear it coming closer, letting you know your hero is here, to save the day once again.
first req done! i honestly dont like this but ive already rewritten it multiple times so..... this is the best we're getting. hope u all enjoy this more than i do lol

he knew he was in love when…
Tumblr media
gn!reader x multiple characters
a/n: fuck i love this so much.
masterlist
Tumblr media
when he found himself laughing in the dead of the night. Freely letting out loud chuckles while his stomach churned and begged him to stop; when he had his arms crossed around his stomach, trying to hold himself together but he just couldn’t. At this point neither of you knew what you were laughing about, too in the moment to even care. He didn’t have to pretend, it was all so natural, all so perfect.
hinata, kuroo, lev, suna, iwaizumi
when he smiled a toothy smile on hearing your name. Just the thought of you brought butterflies that gushed right into his stomach. The smile was merely a subconscious reaction- just one of the many things you do to him. The thought of outsiders being able to see the affection and chemistry you both shared made him realise just how i’m too deep he was. Head over heels for someone who brought out the best in him.
daichi, yamaguchi, kenma, bokuto, tendou, osamu
when you kissed every little scab that engraved his fingers over time. It was a feature of his he wasn’t insecure about yet not too proud of either. they’re proof how far you’ve come and how much you’ve worked for being where you are now, how could I not love them? that’s what you’d said. never in a million years had he thought of it this way. you gave meaning to parts of him that he wouldn’t have otherwise.
kageyama, ushijima, sakusa, oikawa
when you stayed with him the whole night he cried. He didn’t tell you why he cried nor did you ask; it could’ve been anything from having a bad day to stress to losing the match day but that wasn’t your main concern. You just stayed with him in his bed, wrapping your body around his, as if you were trying to shield him from the world while he broke down, making sure he occasionally sipped some water. Stroking his back while caressing his hair, any simple movement to try to comfort him and show him he wasn’t alone. He couldn’t have been any happier to see you by his side in the morning
tsukishima, oikawa, atsumu, suna, kita
when he saw you smile as the bonfire warmed you both. The way your eyes shone in the light and hair swayed with the breeze. It’s something he swore was like a scene in the movies. He knew he wanted to spend the rest of his life with you in that moment- he wanted to be there to witness every time you smiled, he wanted to be the one who you moved in with, the one you’d ask for help when setting up shelves or buying furniture for both your houses, someone you’d brush your teeth with as the sun shone it’s first few rays of light. He knew it was you, he knew he was hopelessly in love.
suga, iwaizumi, akaashi, kita, kuroo, semi

Seeing you dressed up for the first time
Karasuno × Gn!reader
Dressed up for an adventure in Tokyo winds up with you being mistaken for an otherworldly being. You look so fine, you are stealing hearts tonight 😉.
Currently playing: Kiss Me by Sixpence None The Richer
Warnings: not much, just everyone simping for you 😂😂
Note from the author: I tried my best to make reader as gender neutral as possible, mind the possibly gendered compliments that im not so sure of, even so I hope you enjoy and comment if I should make a part 2 with another team!
Tumblr media
• It was during the inter High school games in Tokyo that this happened.
• You wanted to go out and explore Tokyo for sometime after the first match ( yk when tanaka went out to meet kanoka the second night )
• Dressed up, you bid yachi and kiyoko goodbye and shot a text to both takeda sensei and daichi.
• Walking out the motel, you paused to search for a close by pastry shop or cafe to chill at. Not noticing tanaka pacing right beside you.
• Tanaka however, noticed you right away, as soon as you walked out the doors of the motel. He had let put the loudest gasp.
• With the way your outfit complimented your body and how your hair framed your face as the city lights illuminated your gorgeous features.
• He swore he swooned. With this he dashed through the doors into the motel and up the stairs, slaming the room door open just to startle the rest of the volleyball members.
• Manz with a red face stuttered incoherent sentences only to have Nishinoya wake up from hearing your name being spoken.
• This of course confused everyone else but tanaka managed to calm down and explain what an absolute god sent you were that he saw.
• At this point everyone was curious and devised a plan to get you to come to their room after your trip.
• They had daichi text you to bring back some pastries and cakes for the team, hence why you had to find a pastry shop.
• Time skip to when you were back from your trip.
• As you were approaching the motel, the boys had gathered at the window to see you.
• Seeing them at the window made you walk faster up the stairs towards their room.
• While you knocked in the door to their room, everyone was fighting over each other as to who should open the door for you.
• Eventually daichi opened the door for you, freezing when he saw that smile that had his heart pounding.
• Pushing past him, you entered the room to have everyone be in awe at just how good you looked.
• Sugawara had let a small "wow" slip past his lips; shortly before tanaka yelled out "I told you"
• You looked around kind of confused at what was happening, until everyone was complimenting you. Even tsukishima offered a shy compliment with kageyama and hinata nodding enthusiastically in the background.
• That night many people fell in love with you, and it gave the team confidence knowing that such an ethereal being was cheering for them at their next game.

HOW YOU MEET (ASSORTED NARUTO BOYOS)
Warnings: fem! reader, violence, some language
Word Count: 3338
NARUTO UZAMAKI
That silly old man at the Ichiraku ramen shop was in fact just that- old. Naruto never really tried to speak to him too very much or ask him many questions, other then what he say on the surface from behind the playmat. One day, after returning from a mission, Naruto was chowing down on some ramen, his face nearly in the bowl and his legs crossed at the calves in joy. He giggled and chuckled to himself in pure, unwavering joy.
"N-Naruto.. Uzamaki?" A voice, soft like Hinata but not as scared interrupted into the air. For a second, he thought he had made it up in his head. But when he turned from his meal he saw a girl his age wearing an apron and holding another bowl of ramen featuring his favorite- BBQ pork. She looked like an angel. "Yeah, that's me." He said, proudly.
Your eyes twinkled and he nearly forgot to close his mouth.
"I've wanted to speak to you for a very long time, Naruto. You come in so often and I'm always behind the what you see- but we've grown up together, in a sense." You rambled. He furrowed his eyebrows, confused. "What are you talking about? No offense, but I've never seen you before in my life." He told you, which you already knew. You let out a soft chuckle.
"(Y/N), I gave you a day free. Don't spend it here bothering the customers." Old man said, with a stern look even he could muster. You nodded. "Yes father. Here, Naruto. This is for you. My name is (Y/N)." You quickly placed the bowl at him before leaving the restaurant. Naruto blinked. Father!?
SASUKE UCHIHA
To most, in good hopes, your existence was merely a terrible rumour. Some even prayed that you were nothing but word of mouth and nothing more. The story went something like this. many years ago, a young woman had a baby- a beautiful girl, healthy as could be. A cousin to the third Hokage, and a wonderful addition to the leaf village. From just three years old, she exibited wonderful and unique talents, outstanding intelligence, and particularly impressive speed for her age. She was playing in the grass with some other young children one day, right as evening was beginning to set in. As she ran into the thickett, the other children waited several minutes for her to come out- from that point on, the kids retold a tell in which the little girl disappeared, and all that was left was the shed skin of a snake.
You were always, to your memory, the daughter of Lord Orochimaru. It was all you ever really known. For many years, you had only seen the world through his dreadful eyes- believed every word he ever said. And though many swore he was ruthless and evil, you only knew him as 'father' and he was generous, and lovable, and proud. He had his moments. You had seen him done bad things but he had always told you that it was merely necessary.
That was when, your world suddenly caved in on itself, on the day your father came home to one of your many hideouts with someone special following him. You hid in your room, locked for what as far as you knew was your safety, and listened. "Welcome Sasuke. We will begin your training very very soon dear boy. But first, I must check on something important.”
Orochimaru, with haste, walked down the hallway. You ran to your bed and sat back down, covering your body in a blanket and burying your face in a book. The lock twisted, your heart pounded because you had a deep sense that he was not alone and it wasn't just Kabuto.
As soon as more light leaked into the room, you shot up excitedly to hug Orochimaru.
"Father!" You hollered, extending out your arms to hug him. He was cold, sleek, like a serpent.  He grinned wide.
"Hello my sweet child. Have you been resting as I requested?" You hadn't. But you nodded. "Yes, father. I have. May I go outside, now?" He had promised you some time in the sun. He exhaled loudly. "You just don't forget anything, do you?"
Patiently you stared at him. "You may come outside while we begin training. You can pay attention to your new training partner's techniques. Obviously, he is inferior to you."
Sasuke just about grunted. "Inferior? You're talking to a child-" he growled impatiently, pushing past Orochimaru to see you. Not a child, a girl, his age, staring back at him with a look of confusion.
Sasuke knew one thing for certain- you were absolutely not the daughter of this guy. Orochimaru hissed, putting his hand in between the archway and Sasuke. "You'll watch your tongue, Uchiha. That is (Y/N), and she will undoubtedly rip out your tongue. And I will bury your pieces." Sasuke shut up for a moment, out of annoyance as opposed to fear. You smiled at him. "Hello!" You waved. "Father please." You spoke, softly. He eyed you suspiciously. It scared you. "Let him see for himself."
NEJI HYUGA
Neji, for some reason unbeknownst to him and all his strange clairvoyance, felt as if he had to be extremely on alert as he walked toward the training grounds. Something was strange- and he felt extremely nervous, like something was about to change. As he approached them, he leaned against a tree and looked out. "Is that Lee?" He asked himself within his own thoughts. But it wasn't. It was a girl.
You were training. Hard. Transferring from one village to another was difficult, especially when you knew no one here save for the fact that this was the only place you fulfill your goals. The village bred saviors.
Neji stood there, quietly, watching as you were steady at work, performing your exercises with such graceful technique. He had never been impulsive in his life. Cool, calculated. But Neji stood there, and gave one second to the thought as to not talk himself out of it.
"Excuse me!" He shouted. You instantly stopped. "Finally, you said something. I've sensed you watching for a while now. His pale lilac eyes widened at your words. "Forgive me-" He began, but he swallowed a gulp and stood up straight. "These training grounds belong to the leaf village. With no headband and having never seen you around before, I don't believe that includes you, Miss."  He caused you to furrow your eyebrows.
"Is this your way of asking my name? You sure do beat around the bush." In a flash, you were behind him. "You're right, I'm not from the leaf village- but I am determined to make it my home." You were in front of him again. He was getting whiplash! "My name is (Y/N) (Y/L/N), got that? Remember it." Your heart was racing. Who was this guy? Tall, long haired, blank eyes- it had to mean something. You were intrigued, curious, maybe even scared. But you would play it cool. Too cool. "You'll be seeing more of me."
ROCK LEE
You actually really didn't meet Lee. You were born on the same day, hours apart. So there was really no true introduction that you could plainly and obviously remember. You were friends from a very young age. You did, however, meet a new version of your best friend- when his Sensei helped him gain the strength to become stronger and more powerful even without ninjutsu or genjutsu. Having trained in the forest earlier today, you were now tending to your small flower garden that you kept tidied as possible. You were leaned over, picking out weeds when the kicked up dust of dirt clouded your vision, rocks and debris flew into the flowerbed. You heard shouting. Terrified, you turned around.
"AT LAST! I HAVE DONE 600 LAPS AROUND THE VILLAGE!" Lee exclaimed, his holler causing you to jump. His attention then turned to you as his enthusiasm faded, looking at your now demolished flower garden. You tried to smile and hide your disappointment. "Great..job...Lee." You told him. He lifted his hand to you in hopes you would grab it. He helped you up. "(Y/N)! Forgive me, I was just so very excited for what I have accomplished! It appears I have made a mess of your flower garden. Please, dear friend and comrade, let ME fix it for you."
You thought about it for a moment. You looked at him gratefully, but you shook your head with the mental image of your new... 'fixed' flower garden. It would probably be vegetables or something.
"Thanks for the offer, Lee." You gave him a soft smile. You took his hand and laid your other on top of his. "I can't ask you to do it all by yourself. You can help me put it back together." You gave the top of his hand a small Pat before staring toward the setting sun and orange sky. In the light neither of you could tell the other one was blushing. "Goodnight, Lee." You nodded before walking into your home.
KIBA INAZUKA
When you first got Akiri, you had no clue that she even was a ninken. In your eyes, she was just a beautiful, long-haired stark white puppy. When you went to visit your father in the leaf village however, you soon found out she was a bred warrior. You were 6 years old at the time. From that point on, when you trained, went anywhere, did anything- Akiri went with you. Soon, you two became synonymous with each other, an unbreakable bond.
When you were 14, you mother finally saw that you were going to be a shinobe regardless of her wishes and allowed you to move in with your father in the leaf village. Akiri, much older and larger now, was your ride into the village. You stroked her soft tufts of white hair as you made your stride into town. You were almost at the gate when in the distance you saw a a large, also white figure running toward the two of you with a ferocious speed, and another figure your size slightly behind running after it. Akiri stopped and did not move another inch. You stepped off of her as she began to growl.
You pulled out a kunai and held it under your sleeve.
A dog only slightly bigger than Akiri stopped in front of the two of you, tail wagging as he barked. In the distance but getting closer you heard, "AKOMARU! WAIT FOR ME!"
You chuckled to yourself. After a few seconds, out of breath and sweating you caught eyes with a boy. He was tall, with scruffy brown hair and red face paint. Animalistic, wild eyes and pronounced canines as he smiled at you. Akiri's tail also began to wag. "Hello." The boy said. You raised an eyebrow. "Hi there." You replied.
You studied him as he regained composure and noticed for a moment he was doing the same. You scratched your arm impulsively. A laugh befell his lips. It was cocky, confident, and slightly addictive to your ears.
"No wonder Akomaru came running. Couple of ladies coming into town." He alluded to the tow dogs, who now were playing with eachother. You feared for the destructive effects.
"Some dog you've got there, she's beautiful." Kiba told you. You smiled. "Thanks! Akomaru.. I think you said that was his name- he's pretty cute too." You complimented back. The boy nodded. "Yep, that's my buddy Akomaru. I'm Kiba Inuzuka." He finally introduced himself. You extended out your hand to shake his, while slipping the kunai out of your other. "(Y/N) (Y/L/N)" Telling him your name he thought it sounded somewhat familiar. You noticed the flicker of wonder in his eyes. "My dad is (Y/D/N) (L/N)."
"Oh okay! Yeah, he knows my mom. I knew he said he had a daughter but I didn't know she would be-"
Kiba stopped, you eyed him curiously. "My age." In his head, he wanted to say 'as badass as this' you nodded. "Well, do you know where my dad stays? His directions weren't very clear at all." You asked. He sort of knew. With a grin, he motioned for you to follow. The dogs stood alert. "Follow me, (Y/N)"
SHIKAMARU NARA
When you came to this village, to live for the rest of the foreseeable future, you could physically feel the pit of nerves running back and forth against the walls of your stomach. You looked up at your uncle, who was silent but smiling as you trudged along beside him. You were dry now, and warm as the sun made up for last night's chilling moonlight. The journey had been long, and without much words, as the past 72 hours replayed in your head.
You had tried your hardest to become a Mika without the guidance you needed, against your parent's wishes, past your father's will- you had no respect for him- only fear. None of that mattered now.
You were at the gate, now, with your uncle. He had served Konahagure for a very long time, renown for who he was- and though you weren't blood but through marriage only were you kin, you felt a strong care for him. After all, he had come to your aid.
After what he had seen... he did not leave you there to die.
"Now, (Y/N), please do not be offended if you do not fit in right away, most of the ninja your age have already assembled their teams and groups. They've known eachother a very long time. But your cousin and his friends, they should be very welcoming." Your uncle, stout and round, gave your head a pat, as if he missed having young children despite you being the age of his son. His whole hand covered the top of your head.
Stares followed you through the village. Finally you made it to the place you would now call home.
"Um, Uncle Choza?" You mumbled. "Hmm?" He responded, taking a step onto the porch. "Thank you." You said. A gut laugh erupted from his stomach. "Don't thank me yet, you're living with Choji and I now." He teased. The door opened. "Hey dad, good to see you back. Shikamaru and I are about to go get some barbecue-" Realizing your presence, the guy with the long mahogany hair and stomach like Choza stopped talking. "You're welcome to come too... uh"
Choza patted your back so you would introduce yourself. You kicked the rock in front of you. "I'm (Y/n)" He lit up. "Hello! That makes you my cousin. I'm Choji." Choji looked happy, and warm. You waved. About that time, someone walked up behind you. Scared, in a panic, you turned around, a flash of water came with you. He was now drenched. An unenthusiastic, droopy eyed face stared back at you. He went to open his mouth but let out a yawn. "Geez, watch it riptide." He griped. "I'm so sorry, I was scared-" Choji stopped you. Somehow, he could sense your fear. "Don't worry! Thats just Shikamaru. As long as you don't cause any trouble, he is harmless." And in a few moments, you were calm. But Shikamaru was now staring at you.. and you couldn't tell why.
GAARA OF THE DESERT
When you were young, you lived in the sand village. Your mother was from the leaf, your father from the sand. Times were once peaceful. You were four when you met Gaara.
Playing tag with the other children, you were only looking at them chasing you, and not what was in front of you. But then in a split second you turned to see a wall close in sight. There was no time or traction to stop on the sandy ground. But the , you hit a gritty barricade. Standing close, was a boy with deep red hair and foaming ocean eyes.
"Are you...okay?" He asked as he helped you up. You smiled. "Yes, thank you!" For a minute you had forgotten about your game. You thought that was why everyone else was running. He looked at them go with sad eyes. "Wanna come play with us?" You asked. At first he started to smile but hung his head and shook it no. "They don't like me very much, they are afraid of me."
You raised an eyebrow. "Why? They have nothing to be afraid of. You ran over to your bag and began to pull something out. Gaara watched curiously. "Oh well, their loss. Come on and check this out." You began setting up a kite. You ran a bit and it followed in the air. He would take it and do the same. Tired you both paused after a bit. "I'm (Y/N)" you finally introduced. His lips curved up at the ends and a light pink befell his cheeks. "They call me... Gaara." He replied. You did not move or become frightened as he got closer to you. "Well Gaara, I think for my birthday mom and dad are gonna get me a new kite, so..." No one had mentioned anything about this to you. "Do you want to keep this one?" You watched his eyes light up again, before he could give you an answer you had already placed it in his hands.
"(Y/N)!" You heard your mother yell. You grumbled. "(Y/n)! Please come here sweetheart." Her voice was soft... and sad. "We'll play tomorrow, I'm gonna go see what Mom wants. Goodbye Gaara!" You hollered before running off back to your home. Little did you know you would never return to that spot again.
KANKURO OF THE DESERT
It was a "festival of the arts", and a "testament of the two village's extraordinary talent", So said the Kazekage and the Hokage. The Kazekage, though, happened to be his brother, so why he would assist in arrangement of some crazy, stupid thing like this was beyond Kankuro. But he knew one thing and only one thing that made him very excited. Kankuro would get to show up all of precious puppets.
Kankuro was a very proud soul, particularly about his puppets he had spent so much time mastering.
Walking toward the section of the festival for puppet mastering, he was interrupted on his walk by something large and circular. He stopped, confused. It was a girl, he realized after he seized being in motion, the woman was inside a hoop.
She was rolling arond, spread at the legs and arms, around the village. That was you. You were a talented gymnast and acrobatic in your spare time. You used how nimble you were more in fighting then recreationally, but you had a true love for it. "Hey princess, mind watching where the hell you're going?" Kankuro sneered. He crossed his arms.
As you left it and stepped onto your feet. You sighed. You just wanted to see the puppets. "Sorry, guess I got a little rogue." You laughed, scratching the back of your head. A man wearing all black and purple face paint upon his face.
"Yeah, I just said sorry." You rolled your eyes. Who pissed in his cornflakes?
"If you're a master of what you're doing, then why did you lose control?" He asked.
"I was looking for something and it was faster to use it. What are you here for anyway?" You asked.
"I'm here for the puppets." Kankuro said.
You stopped. Sighed. "Oh, really?"
"What we're you looking for?" He asked curiously.
Rolling your eyes, you held onto your hoop. "I'm trying to find the puppets. I wanted to see them."
He laughed. Oh, this was priceless.
"Well, good luck, beautiful. I'll see you there if you make it."
With that, he went on ahead. And you were left appalled at his behavior.

Calling him by his last name prank (HQ Boys)
Tumblr media
Haikyuu Boys Headcanon
Tumblr media
KUROO TETSURO
“Did you have fun at your practice match today, Kuroo-San?”
He’s petty. He’s straight up petty when you call him by his last name, pretending not hear you even though you clearly asked him a question. Kuroo sits and looks out the train window for a while as you try again, trying desperately to hold in your laugh due to your boyfriend’s cold demeanor.
“...Kuroo? Did you hear me?”
Silence, again. He fights the urge to roll his eyes as he bites his lip, twitching in annoyance as you try again.
“Kuroo-”
“I don’t know any ‘Kuroo.’ All I know is baby or Tetsu,” He finally snaps, scoffing and looking at you as if to say ‘unbelievable.’ You can tell he’s playing it cool, but his eyes give away the fact that he’s actually quite hurt- and so does the subtle pout on his lips.
You almost coo as you see your boyfriend acting all grumpy at the use of his last name, immediately giggling and leaning in to hug him despite his protests.
“Y/N, don’t-”
“Awe baby, I was just messing around with you! No need to get all pouty and sassy Tetsu,” You laugh, snuggling into his side.
Kuroo finally stops resisting whenever you say these words, his shoulders instantly relaxing knowing you weren’t mad at him or anything. However, he can’t help but feel slightly even more upset because he genuinely fell for it.
“Yeah, well,” He pretends to wave you off, acting all tough as he looks out the window again. “I knew that.”
“Oh Tetsu-” You grin at his obviously pouting figure and shake your head, “I’m sure you did honey. I’m sure you did.”
——————————— ☁️ ——————————
BOKUTO KOUTARO
“Bokuto, can you come help me move this please?”
At the sound of his last name, Bokuto instantly deflates and starts pouting the minute it sets in. I mean, he doesn’t even give you time to correct your mistake before he’s storming into your room, arms crossed and lips jutted out.
“What did you just say?”
“I said: Bokuto can you come help me move this? It’s really heavy,” You pout up at him only to find your boyfriend is doing the same, his nose scrunched up as his shoulders sagged.
So, it wasn’t a mistake. You actually meant to call him that.
“...Okay.”
There’s an obvious sadness in his voice as he slowly moves to help you, uncharacteristically quiet. The entire time he keeps glancing at you with those big eyes, pleading for you to call him something else. But no- you stick to it and once he’s done helping you, you lean up and give him a sweet kiss on the cheek.
“Thank you, Bokuto. You’re always so helpful,” You praise him, but it seems to do nothing for his sudden sour mood. Grumbling, he hastily nods and then walks out of the room, a smile appearing on your face as you hear him muttering to himself.
“...Bokuto? Did I do something? Is that why Y/N’s calling me that?”
You follow him a few minutes later and find him on the couch, hugging his knees as he barely pays attention to the TV. He tenses up when you sit beside him, eyes hesitantly glancing at you. He figures that now is when you’re gonna confront him- tell him what he’s done wrong for you to call him Bokuto and not Kou or baby, but instead-
You’re smiling.
“What’s gotten you in such pouty mood, Bokuto?” You ask him, as if you didn’t already know. But you’re waiting for him to break, which looks like it’s gonna be any second if you call him that once more time.
“Baby,” He looks at you as if to say ‘seriously?’ and then hugs his knees closer. “We’ve been dating for too long for you to keep calling me that.”
“What- Bokuto?” You act shocked and Bokuto flinches but sighs.
“Yes. That.”
“But- it’s your name, is it not?”
“Yeah but not the one you should be using,” He suddenly whines, crossing his arms over his chest with a pout. “I mean... what happened to Kou? I thought you said I was your baby owl.”
He looks away with all small blush on his cheeks and you decide you can’t take it anymore. Walking over to him, you gently sat down in his lap and pulled him in for hug, planting a loving kiss on his lips before confessing.
“Kou, baby, it was just prank,” You grin, reassuring him, and you feel his mood shift instantly. Bokuto lifts his head up and searches your face for any lies, but once he sees your grin he can’t help but breathe a sigh of relief.
“You mean it?” He asks seriously and you nod frantically.
“Of course baby. I’m sorry I upset you,” You apologize, and you swear that you can actually see his hair start to stand up again. While you’re hugging him and apologizing with an endless amount of kisses, Bokuto is chuckling and then he’s back to himself once again.
“I have to admit, you had me pretty good there,” He told you, impressed. You smiled.
“Really? You know usually my pranks don’t work but-”
Bokuto narrowed his eyes. “Ahem. You didn’t let me finish, sweetheart,” He smirked, adjusting you on his lap. “You got me pretty good, yes, but now that just means...I’m gonna get you back even better.”

SAKUSA KIYOOMI
“Sakusa have you read that book I lent you? How did you like it?”
At first, your boyfriend isn’t really sure if you’re talking to him, even though you called his name. But after a few seconds, your words settle in and Sakusa looks over at you to see that you’re staring at him expectantly from the other end of the couch, not at all phased over what you just said.
“It was...good?” It comes out more of a question as he shifts a little uncomfortably, sitting up a little straighter while he continues to stare at you.
“Oh? Just good huh?” You raise an eyebrow and decide to bait him a little more, since his initial reaction didn’t really show anything. “Maybe I should show you some of my notes, Sakusa. You could dig a little deeper- there’s a lot to uncover in those books.”
“...Yeah.”
So it wasn’t an accident. Once again, Sakusa looks over at you but you’re showing no signs of being mad or irritated at him. So then- why did you call his last name- twice?
“Sakusa?” You notice he’s staring and do everything you can to hide your smirk, feigning curiosity as you tilt your head. “Something wrong? Why do you keep staring at me like that?”
It takes a few seconds for him to respond, a small scoff leaving his lips as he does so, but nevertheless Sakusa sits back on the couch and gives you a quiet, “It’s Omi,” while not being able to look you in the eyes.
“...I’m sorry? What was that?”
“I said it’s Omi,” He clears his throat and speaks a little louder, lifting his head just enough to see the little blush on his face. You nearly melt. “You just...you called me Sakusa three times in a row. That’s not my name. To you...it’s Omi. You always call me that.”
You feel like literally awing as your boyfriend shifts shyly, finally admitting that he does like being called that. Not being able to contain your excitement, you squeal and quickly crawl your way over to him, planting yourself in his lap and giving him a sweet kiss.
“Awe, you mean it Omi? I thought you said you didn’t like it when I called you that.”
“Yeah, well,” His cheeks go a shade darker and you can’t stop yourself from grinning at his adorableness. You can tell it took a lot for him to admit it so you decide not to tease him, instead peppering his face with kisses and giggling.
“Well, if it bothers you that much then I’ll stick to calling you Omi. I promise,” You beam at him and Sakusa reluctantly takes your outstretched pinky, intertwining it with his own before brining your hands up and kissing yours.
“Good. You better,” He chuckles. “And...”
“I know, I know. Not a single word to the boys about this.”
“Correct.”
“....”
- “Not even Hinata?”
“Y/N!”

MIYA ATSUMU
“Miya-”
“Oh shit.”
The word isn’t even fully out of your lips before Atsumu is freezing up, pausing the movie to look at your surprised face frantically. He instantly turns his body towards you, an apologetic look on his face before you can even blink.
“Babe- whatever yer about to say, I can explain.”
“Miya, what the hell are you talking about?”
You sit up straight and face his panicking figure, genuinely confused by his behavior. “All I said was-”
“Miya. Ya never call me that unless I’m in trouble,” Atsumu says, and while he’s not wrong you’re beginning to wonder why exactly he was freaking out so much.
“Okay...but if I just said it as a prank...and you’re acting this way...” You narrow your eyes suspiciously. “Atsumu, is there anything you wanna tell me?”
He’s visibly nervous as he looks at you, sweat beginning to break on his face. He darts his eyes from you, to his phone, and then back to you, silently contemplating on whether or not he should tell the truth.
“Okay,” Atsumu decides to clear his conscious and finally come clean, hesitantly picking up his phone and unlocking it. “So...ya remember that um, stuff, ya had like three weeks ago? That went missing?”
You paused. “...You mean all of my Yakisoba that you swore you had nothing to do with?”
Atsumu gulped. “Look- babe- I’m not trying to make excuses, okay? But ya gotta understand that I’m a big guy and sometimes when I come home from practice I’m just so hungry that I- AH!”
“You asshat!”
Atsumu is cut off from his confession when you suddenly lunge at him, grabbing a pillow to smack his face as you straddle him and pin him down. “You told me that the damn neighbors dog ate it, Atsumu! Had me all worried at the vet, wondering if they were gonna sue us-”
“Okay, that is an exaggeration, they didn’t even find anythin’-”
“Well yeah! That’s cause you ate it asshole!” Atsumu yelps as you land a practically good blow and quickly grabs your waist to flip you over and reverse the roles.
Now, you’re the one under him, glaring at his sheepish face as he pins your wrists.
“Alright alright! ‘M sorry, okay?! But I was really hungry and yer were bein stingy with yer food-!”
“Stingy-?!” You gasped at his audacity. “Tsumu, I damn near gave you half before you devoured the rest!”
“Well I was a hungry, okay?! Yer can’t blame a man for eatin,” He said, and you huffed as you stared into his clearly non-regretful eyes.
“Oh, I sure can!” You narrow your eyes at him, “You’re gonna replace my Yakisoba as soon as you let me go! And, you’re gonna bake me some brownies, too!”
“I- what- brownies?!”
“Yes! With sprinkles on top!” You shout.
“Sprinkles?! That doesn’t even go together!” Atsumu cried.
“So? You ate my food, Atsumu! And if you want this relationship to survive, you’ll listen carefully and do exactly as I say.”
Later that night, you munched happily on your sprinkle-covered brownies while Atsumu stared bitterly at the finished Yakisoba in front of you. His ramen noodles sat unfinished and cold in front of him, a punishment and a reminder that you never, ever ever steal food from Y/N.
And he definitely learned his lesson.

Sakusa Kiyoomi: Crush
Fandom: Haikyuu!! — [ Masterlist ]
Summary: fluff
• Sakusa is tricky to read, and his teammates have difficulty judging what he’d be like with a crush - until they meet you.
Warnings: none

Tumblr media
As a team, the MSBY Black Jackals had grown to know and understand each other quite well due to frequency of training.
Friendships are formed which leads to an even deeper level, including reading emotions and predicting behaviour.
This was the topic of choice for Bokuto and Atsumu currently discussing how their teammates would act romantically. So far, the pair were quite intuitive, the both of them being observant and somewhat emotionally aware - however one member stumped them completely.
Sakusa Kiyoomi.
"I can't imagine him with a crush, he barely puts up with us and we're friends."
"Ya gotta point, which is annoyin' since he gets so much attention - that he rejects." Atsumu wore a childish pout, contrasting the cheery laughter of Bokuto.
That was when you stumbled into the gymnasium, a polite but nervous air to your voice as you offered a cautious bow.
"Sorry to interrupt— oh no—"
The moment you'd looked up, a hurtling sphere of leather was on a collision course with your body and you swore the entire team held their breaths bracing for impact as you defensively held up your arms.
Relief resonated, and with no shooting pain you hesitantly lowered your shields to find Sakusa looking back over his shoulder with a raised brow and volleyball expertly spinning on his index.
"Would you like to hit it back?"
"Aha, you know I'm nowhere near as good as you Kiyoomi." A brief smile was sent to you in gratitude since his mask was absent for training, the Spiker returning the ball with casual ease (nothing like his killer serves this time) before gently nudging your arm with his elbow - so light you assumed it was an accident.
"I'll always offer to teach you, please just ask."
A vibrant ginger sprinted over to you both just then, deep and vigorous bow issued as an apology - "I'm so sorry!! I was practicing my serves when you came in and I got distracted so my shot went to where I was looking! Please forgive me!"
"It's fine, Omi had me covered." Thanks to your reassuring smile, Hinata quickly apologised once again and sped off toward an entertained Bokuto.
"What are you doing here today?" Kiyoomi gave you his full attention now, his interest piqued when you pulled a bottle from your bag.
"I came to see you as I was passing by, and I brought you more water since you said practice was running late."
"That’s really thoughtful thank you, then let me introduce you to some of my teammates whilst you’re here."
Unexpectedly (for MSBY) he’d briefly reached for your hand, a thoughtful tug in his direction and releasing you to follow him.
"Omi-Omi whose the cutie hm?"
"Atsumu..." It was muttered under his breath distastefully like a curse, Sakusa soon telling Bokuto, Miya and Hinata your name and allowing them to charismatically introduce themselves.
The Spiker remained close by your side as you each conversed, Hinata eagerly jumping in with a hauntingly fascinating memory.
"Do you know about Omi-sans' abnormally flexible wrists too?"
"Yeah, when he first told me I always used to do this thing to test for myself." The three men looked at you rather curiously, as if there was no way their Sakusa would be so lenient with physical contact.
Sensing their disbelief and quizzicalness, you expectantly turned to Kiyoomi who narrowed his eyes at the hand you now held up like awaiting a high-5 with the flexing of your fingers indicating your intention. His harmless glare flickered to your meet your soft gaze and lingered slightly longer before a reluctant yet defeated sigh escaped his lips.
Gingerly his fingertips brushed against your palm, slowly sliding them up the expanse of your digits until his palm fit perfectly against yours with a settling warmth shared between you due to the familiar skinship.
The delicate movement elicited a pleased hum of amusement from you whilst interlocking your fingers slightly which left the Spiker looking to the side with faint scarlet dusting the tips of his ears. Then you carefully pulled downwards until you'd touched his forearm, a stretch his teammates had seen him warm up with multiple times but never with anyone else.
"Still amazes me every time~” Sakusa only shook his head slightly once you released him from the stretch, slipping his hands into his shorts with his curls accentuating the enamoured expression he blessed only to you once you’d continued speaking. “Anyway, I’ll let you guys get back to it, enjoy yourselves and it was a pleasure to meet you all."
“Come by more often! It’s fun learning about Omi-san!” Hinata gladly added, waving excitedly as you backtracked with Sakusa matching your strides.
“I’ll walk you out, thank you again for stopping by.”
“Anytime, I’ll see you later Kiyoomi?”
“Of course.”
The three watched their teammate offer his sincere goodbyes, far more than they ever received which lead to a follow up thanks to the accumulation of new information today.
"So… when Omi-Omi has a crush, he willingly approaches 'em, finds it effortless to touch 'em and asks a lotta' questions." Atsumu clarified their earlier conversation, Bokuto nodding along and downing a bottle of water with Shōyō proudly chiming in with his own observations.
"Blushes when they compliment him too. Oh! And offers to teach them Volleyball."
"Hah! Who'd have thought our Spiker would have a crush? Nothin' gets past me." Atsumu proudly stated, hands smugly on his hips in accomplishment whilst Sakusa boredly approached them having overheard enough of the conversation.
"Clearly it does. It's not a crush, I'm in love with them. Didn't you see the engagement ring on their finger?"
"...WHAT?!" Bokuto practically screeched, proceeding to choke on his water whilst Sakusa exasperatedly rolled his eyes and strolled back toward the courts with a shocked and offended Atsumu springing after him.
"Omi-Omi ya can't just walk away after that— Oi Sakusaaa!"

↷ SUMMARY ↶
A new special move!
The third day of summer training camp and the temperature was still rising. Under the cool shade of the tree upon the hill, you, Shimizu, and Yachi were preparing cool electrolyte drinks for the team. Usually, you three done it in the gym but experiencing how hot the weather was, you three decided brought the bottles uphill so the team could drink immediately in order to avoid dehydration.
“That’s a different type of brand you use, [Name]-chan.” Shimizu commented, seeing a different colored package of electrolyte drink in your hand.
“Oh, Kageyama-kun usually used this particular brand,” you replied, pouring the powder into the bottle and turn the lid close, then you shook the bottle so it would mix thoroughly. Your upperclassman hummed in understanding from your answer.
While it was the third day of training, it’s also marked the three weeks of Kageyama and Hinata not talking to each other even though it didn’t hinder their practice. It worried you a bit, but you knew the two of them would talk eventually.
“Great work,” you said, offering the bottle to Kageyama when he and the rest of the boys arrived uphill. He rasped out a thank you before immediately downing the drink.
“Hinata-kun, this is yours!”
“Thank you!”
You purposely be the one to delivered the bottle straight to the person–Hinata was keeping a quite distance from Kageyama and you didn’t want to force the orange-haired boy to get closer with the raven-haired setter.
“Wuaah, it’s nice and cool,” Hinata sighed in content, placing the bottle upon his cheek–enjoying the coolness radiating from it. After satisfied in cooling down his face, he soon downed the drink. Now that you think, you rarely talk to Hinata these days with him busy with his practice.
“[Name]-san, is your arm okay?” ah, he must be referring to the long cut on your arm.
“It’s already a month, Hinata-kun, it’s healed but it does leave a scar,” you lifted your arm, showing a faint lighter line present on your skin where your wound previously at.
“Oh, sorry,” frowns don’t suit Hinata at all–he’s a bright ball of beaming energy, a warm figure who could lit your day in an instant. It’s his nature, and seeing him becoming dejected from the start of the day was worrying.
“It’s fine, Hinata-kun, it’s not your fault anyway. It was an accident,” you dismissed his apology. “And if you need anything, just call out for me, okay? I’ll do my best to help you.”
You didn’t know what force that made you say those words, but you know you couldn’t take it back–you didn’t intend too anyway. Hinata always worked hard by himself, so you want to support him as much as possible. The orange haired boy looked taken a back before a giving you that infamous wide, sunny grin.
“Okay! And call me Shoyo, then! I call you by your first name so it’s fair if you call me like that too!”
“Alright, then, Shoyo-kun.”
.
.
The temperature was still rising–the burning hot atmosphere exhausted your boys even further than before. It would get rough, both for their body and mind eventually. You could feel your skin prickling–the tension was rising faster than before, tiredness building up, and sooner or later it would get to them.
“Damn it!” you gripped on your hand a little tighter after hearing Hinata’s scream of frustration. He failed to get the ball over the net because he lost in terms of strength with Lev. For the past three days, he couldn’t hit any ball comfortably, and with the battle of height always looming over him he had nothing to fight it with.
The match continued–Nishinoya tossed the ball perfectly, and then Kageyama went up to made a toss. Hinata, noticing there was a chance for a quick immediately jumped. Even though the ball barely being hit, it still got over the net and fell on the opposite court.
“You held back, didn’t you!?” his upperclassmen’s praises went over his head as Hinata yelled in anger at Kageyama.
“Held back?” the raven-haired setter also didn’t like the approach, glaring back menacingly. “Me? With volleyball?”
Thankfully before a fight could break, Takeda-sensei already asked for a time-out–with that, at least the two could cool down for a bit and not causing ruckus on the court in the middle of a match.
“That wasn’t the falling toss!” Hinata’s next words, caught you off guard. He noticed something’s different with the toss? It looked the same to you.
“It wasn’t?” Takeda-sensei questioned.
“I mean, looking back, it technically may not have been.” Coach Ukai answered, a thumb under his chin. “I think what just happened is that the toss right now wasn’t like the falling tosses he’s been getting, but more of a parabola.”
It clicked in your mind–the abrupt change suddenly made sense. “Does that mean Kageyama-kun is trying to get Shoyo-kun to hit the ball no matter what?”
“It’s on purpose?” Yachi turned to look at you.
“But what for?” Shimizu’s brows furrowed in confusion.
“Hinata hasn’t hit a spike comfortably for a while now,” Coach Ukai was the one who answered to their question. “That’s pretty stressful for a spiker. Kageyama might have subconsciously been worried that Hinata’s might not play as well because of that.”
You frowned in worry, seeing how Hinata still rooted on his spot despite Tanaka’s attempt to dragged him off the court. And it also worried you that Kageyama was looking utterly dejected–maybe he realized for a moment that he pulled his punches. Thankfully it was only a moment–everything was resolved rather quickly and practice resumed.
.
.
After practice at night, you found yourself helping Bokuto, Kuroo, and Akaashi in the third gym. The owl captain immediately dragged you away as soon as the last practice was over (you swore you could hear Tanaka and Nishinoya’s screams of fury), so here you were, throwing balls to Akaashi so he could toss it to Bokuto. Surprisingly, Tsukishima was present as well–now, he’s learning to block with Kuroo’s guidance.
“Oh? Tsukki, [Name]-chan, did you bring a friend today?” Bokuto suddenly asked, which confused the two of you.
“Pardon?” Tsukishima questioned.
When you threw a look over your shoulder, you immediately took a notice of an extremely familiar figure with orange hair by the door. Calling out, you gave him a smile. “Shoyo-kun!”
“[N-Name]-san!”
“What happened to your partner?” Tsukishima asked.
“Kageyama’s practicing on his own again,” Hinata answered. “I was trying to get Kenma to throw me tosses, but he ran away after the fifth one.”
“It’s amazing that you got Kenma to even give you five during practice,” Kuroo remarked.
“So, please let me practice with you!” another surprised for you because Lev showed up and asking the same thing.
“Lev!”
“Oh, Hinata,” the silver-haired boy then noticed you and immediately waved his hands enthusiastically. “Otohaku-chan!! You’re here too!!”
“Lev, quit flirting with the manager and I thought you were practicing receives with Yaku.” Kuroo said and of course, the mention of Nekoma’s libero, Lev stiffened.
“He said I was doing well today, so he let me go!”
From the looks of it, it was no doubt he ran away while Yaku was having a bathroom break or something else that required him for leaving the gym. But Kuroo, being the lenient and laid-back captain he is, dismissed it.
“Well, whatever,” he sighed. “Then, we have the right number of people, so let’s play three-on-three. [Name], you’re in charge of the score.”
Nodding in understanding, you pushed the score board closer and changed the names above–cats and owl, it reminded you of the two captain’s characteristics. You were fine in looking over the match, but this match was quite ridiculous. Thankfully, you’re not the only to think so.
“Um, isn’t this just a bit unbalanced?” Akaashi questioned. He was in the same team with Bokuto and Hinata, whereas the opposite team was clearly having more advantage in height–Kuroo, Lev, and Tsukishima are all above 185cm. Still with the disadvantage he got, Hinata was excited for sure.
The match was interesting to watch–even with the lack of extra height for Hinata’s team, they were still on par with Tsukishima’s team. But soon it was stopped by Yukie and Kaori’s appearance.
“If you don’t wrap soon, the cafeteria will close and you won’t get any dinner.” Yukie informed. “Oh? [Name]-chan, you’re here too? That explains why you don’t show up for dinner.”
Frustration was clear to Hinata because he clearly enjoyed the match and he didn’t want it to end, however, with Kuroo’s reassurance that they would continue this tomorrow, he was back bouncing on his feet. You couldn’t help but smile at the captain’s attentiveness.
“Thank you for cheering Shoyo-kun up,” you said, as the seven of you walked towards the cafeteria. Yukie and Kaori said they had to handle other things first so they couldn’t accompany you (it was hard for them to let you go with the boys). “Today’s not a good day for him so this match definitely cheers him up.”
“It’s nothing, and we probably have to apologize to you too,” Kuroo remarked. “Bokuto’s dragging you here, you stuck with us, and missed dinner. Bokuto, you have an apology to make!”
“That’s right, Bokuto-san, you made Otohaku-san missed dinner.” Akaashi piped up. “Tomorrow she has to wake up early to prepare breakfast, too.”
As if struck by lightning, Bokuto froze and turned stiffly to look at you before he went on a full apology-mode–as far as dropping on his knees, taking your hands in his, and begging for apology. You laughed nervously, but you knew he was sincere with it.
“I’m sorry, [Name]-chan!! I’ll make it up to you!! Do I need to replace you handling breakfast tomorrow!?”
“N-no, it’s alright, I will be fine and you don’t have to apologize, Bokuto-san. I don’t mind helping you practice.”
“Bokuto-san, you’re making Otohaku-san uncomfortable.”
“Have my back for once, Akaashi!!”
.
.
Now that you think of it, your after-practice time was automatically reserved for the third gym. Bokuto would bound towards you, asking for your help as soon as you’re done with your managerial duties. With your nod, he then reached out for your hand and pulled you to ran towards the third gym.
Akaashi already informed you to just dismissed his captain, but you found yourself couldn’t possibly rejected Bokuto’s invitation–especially when his eyes practically shining, you didn’t have a heart to ruin it. That goes for Daichi also, he even offered to talk to Bokuto about it if it bothers you. You were grateful for the two’s offer, still if you could help, you want to be helpful as possible.
It’s probably the third time you helped them practice by throwing balls and keeping an eye on the score board. Well you did your usual managerial duties as well–refilling the water bottles, giving them towels, sometimes wiping the floor when it became too slippery. Kuroo mentioned that you didn’t have to do it since your work hour was over and him, Bokuto, Akaashi, and Lev weren’t from your team.
Again, you dismissed it–it’s not a heavy duty, anyway. In between water break, Tsukishima asked about why on earth Kuroo wanted to help them when they would end up being rival in the end.
The captain cleared his throat. “I want to make the Battle at the Garbage Dump a reality. It’s what our coach wants more than anything. But who knows how much longer our coach is going to continue coaching? So, because of that, we need you guys to keep winning too.”
Overall, you understood Kuroo’s reason, but there was something that piqued your curiosity.
“Uhm, I know this question might sound strange, but, what is Battle at the Garbage Dump?” you asked.
“Oh, that’s right, we haven’t explained anything to Yachi-san and [Name]-san!” Hinata said.
“To put it simple, it’s like destined match between Karasuno and Nekoma.” Tsukishima explained. “It’s been going since the previous Coach Ukai’s time.”
“Karasuno and Nekoma will climb up until they could go to nationals and then will meet up on the orange court.” Kuroo grinned, reaching up to ruffle your hair lightly.
“That’s… so cool,” you muttered. You couldn’t find the exact words to express the awe you’re feeling. A match in the orange court between destined rivals, it’s almost like straight up from a manga or a movie. Other teams could research but playing against a team that knows you really well is going to be an absolute thrill–probably the best match Karasuno could get.
“Right, right!?” Hinata went up to you and asked excitedly.
“Come on. Let’s get back to practice!” Kuroo informed and all of you immediately went to your assigned place.
Practice went on–still between the Owl and Cat group. When Bokuto had to score against someone tall like Lev and Tsukishima, he didn’t kill the ball instead he hit it purposely against the block–returning it to the team for a more proper toss. Knowing how Hinata was hungry for development, surely he wouldn’t miss this.
After Bokuto managed to kill the ball with an intense straight towards the back line, he instantly approached him to ask about it. Soon, the game continued. This time, it was Lev who went for the score but managed to be soft-blocked by Akaashi. The last ball went to Hinata and you witnessed an absolutely underhanded way of blocking.
“Ah! Hey!” Bokuto screeched, also feeling the unfairness. “You guys are playing dirty!”
Hinata had to face three blockers above 185 cm with not a good toss.
“Nowhere to aim,” you muttered, narrowing your eyes in slight annoyance.
However, Hinata intended to face them–he hit the ball to Lev’s fingertips and it flew over before dropping to the inner-side of the opposite court. He jumped high enough and landed on his back instead.
“Shoyo-kun, you’re amazing!” running and kneeling beside him, you praised. Technically, you’re supposed to check on him but it flew over your mind for a second. “It’s an amazing block-out!”
“Did…you actually aim for that?” Kuroo questioned in disbelief. “That was an amazing wipe!”
“Well, I did aim for Lev’s fingertips.”
“What!?” Lev took a full offense in this.
Still, Bokuto was impressed by the lack of fear the younger had. The owl captain was showering him with praises as the rest of you watched from the sidelines. It went well until Bokuto proposed a ‘special move’–which made almost everyone dropped their beliefs, Hinata seemed to be excited by it though.

SDR2 Boys React to You Flinching (Part Two)
Hajime, Kazuichi, and Izuru react to you thinking their going to hit you.
Hajime Hinata
Your boyfriend, Hajime Hinata, had visited you at your dorm in the Main Department building at Hope’s Peak Academy. What started out as a casual conversation quickly dissolved into a heated argument when Hajime started talking about how he needed to transfer out of the reserve department.
“Damnit, Y/N!” Hajime cursed. “Why can’t you see how important this is to me?”
“Hajime, please just listen to me,” you begged, trying to get him to see your side. “Talent isn’t everything!”
“That’s easy for you to say!” He exploded. His words increased the tension in the room tenfold, and you had a feeling things were about to get worse from here.
“And what’s that supposed to mean?” You asked, almost daring him to continue. He held your gaze, refusing to back down. The look in his eyes was so intense, it was almost hard to look at him.
“You’re an Ultimate!” He spat, as though it were an insult. “You have no idea what it’s like, not having talent…!”
You had never heard him this fired up before, and it was starting to worry you. He sounded so… resentful. The intensity of it all almost scared you.
“What, are you jealous of me?” You asked. “Hajime, you need to understand that there are more important things than having an Ultimate talent.”
“I’m not jealous! But you… you don’t even value your talent!” His voice shook as he shouted. “I-It was a dream for me! To have a talent I could take pride in! To walk through Hope’s Peak Academy as an Ultimate! You… don’t deserve to be an Ultimate!”
As he spat those last words, he threw his hand up in frustration. Acting on pure instinct, your entire body tensed and you squeezed your eyes shut in fear.
“Y/N…?” He called out to you. “You..You flinched…? Y/N, I would never-”
“Please…” Your words were so soft, he almost didn’t hear them. “Just go.”
“What?” He sighed. An overwhelming feeling of guilt ran over him as he noticed the tears welling up in your eyes.  “I-I can’t just leave you, I mean, you’re crying! I...I made you cry.”
Gently, he wrapped his arms around you. He held you tight as he whispered apologies in your ear.
Kazuichi Soda
When the argument started, you had been spending some time with your boyfriend, Kazuichi, in his room. He been acting so possessive all day, and when you finally asked him what’s wrong, he admitted that he was upset about how much you had been hanging out with a certain classmate of yours.
“Kaz, it’s not a big deal,” you insisted. “Just chill, alright?”
“How can I chill when my girl is spending all her time with some other guy?!” Kazuichi exclaimed, over-enthusiastic as always. “I swear, I’ll put him and his hamsters six feet under!”
“You need to calm down, Kaz.” You said. “Like I said, it’s not a big deal, we’re just friends.”
“Miss Y/N, you just don’t get it!” He said. “He’s a teenage boy, you know!”
“And what the hell is that supposed to mean?” You questioned, your face burning at his suggestive words.
“Well… you know… like, when a teenage boy looks at you, he’s only gonna be thinking about one thing!” He said, blushing as he spoke.
“Kazuichi, how can you say that?” You said. “Just because you’re a pervert doesn’t mean Gundham is!”
“H-Hey, why are you defending him?” Kazuichi asked. “I mean, c’mon, do you have a crush on him or something?!”
“You’re being irrational, Kaz.” You insisted. “He and I are just friends!”
“Oh, he’s your friend, is he?” Kazuichi scoffed, as he puffed his chest. “Well then, since the two of you are such good friends, maybe you just date him instead!”
“Fine.” You retorted, fed up with this stupid argument. “Maybe I will.”
You got up and started to storm out of the room. The moment your fingertips grazed the doorknob, you felt your hand get snatched back. Kazuichi let go of your hand as you turned to face him, and you watched as he leaned forward, placing his palm against the door, effectively pinning you against it while making sure it would stay shut.
“Kazuichi?” You gasped.
“Why are you being like this?!” He growled, his jealousy having reached new heights.
“Let me leave!” You yelled, the hint of desperation in your voice left unnoticed. He pulled his hand back off the door, but in your peripheral vision, you could have sworn his hand was going to strike you. Without thinking, you shut your eyes, hard, and let out a soft gasp. Kazuichi watched as you fell back against the door as you flinched.
Kazuichi had never felt more confused in his life. It took him a moment to even register what had happened. His eyes widened when all of the dots finally connected in his mind.
“Miss Y/N...did you think I was going to...ugh, I can’t even say it,” he paused for a moment before continuing. “I’d never hurt you, ever! Ya know that, don’t you?”
“I-I’m sorry, Kaz,” you apologized, but he quickly shook his head.
“No! I’m the one who should apologize, Miss Y/N! I got so worked up, just cause I was feeling jealous… so, it’s my fault! Please, forgive me!”
Kazuichi would continue to apologize, continuously, for the next several hours.
Izuru Kamakura
Your childhood friend, Hajime Hinata, was gone. In his place was someone different, someone whose entire existence confused you.
In a way, he could say the same thing about you. Everything about your existence confused him. Normally, he felt nothing but boredom and indifference. But when he met you for the first time…
“Hajime?!” You exclaimed, partially out of joy to see your old friend and partially out of shock at his appearance.
“No.” The man who stood before you replied calmly. “The one called Hinata Hajime is gone. I am Izuru Kamakura.”
“...huh?” You felt confused as you tried to understand.
“Did you know him?” Izuru asked, but he already knew the answer. He could tell by your tone, the sweetness in your voice as you had called out his old name. There was also the fact that when he looked at you, he felt… something. Something he had never felt before. Something he couldn’t identify. He realised quickly that whatever it was, it must be some leftover remnant of Hajime’s feelings.
This feeling… he thought to himself. I like it.
That was a while ago. You’ve been by his side ever since. He still found you boring, like everything else in this world, but from time to time you managed to surprise him.
Most of the time you spent together was spent in silence. Izuru always seemed to know what you were thinking anyways, so talking was mostly pointless; and whenever the two of you did talk, you were the one who started the conversation. But today, as the two of you walked side by side through the streets of Towa City, he spoke to you.
“Did you love him?” Izuru asked you.
“What?” You could feel his gaze trained on you, observing your every movement as he made deductions in his mind.
“Hajime.” He stated plainly, and for a second you swore you saw a flash of annoyance in his eyes. “Did you love him?”
“Did I...wait, what?” You mumbled, unable to think straight.
“Are you truly going to make me ask again?” His voice did not waver. “You really are dull.”
“I-I’m not dull!” You defended yourself. “That’s just.. I mean, why would you even ask something like that?!”
“I’m...curious.” He stated, his voice seemingly as calm as ever, and for the first time, he looked away from you. It was relieving to not have his eyes on you while you thought of a reply, but you couldn’t help but wonder what he was thinking.
“Curious?” You asked, but he said nothing back. Sighing, you decided to continue. “Yes. I...I loved him, I guess. He was my childhood friend...my best friend...how could I not?”
Still, Izuru said nothing. You looked to the side and noticed that Izuru was no longer next to you. He had stopped walking a few steps back. You turned around, and walked towards him until the two of you were standing face to face.
Sharply, he raised his hand. A gasp left your lips as you closed your eyes, bracing for an impact that never came. A moment passed and you opened your eyes; his hand was mere inches away from your face.
“Izuru…?” You asked. He had done it on purpose, you realized. “Why did you..?”
“You love him.” Izuru stated. “But, you fear me.”
“That’s not it…” You said, breathlessly. “I’m not afraid of you, Izuru.”
“You should be.”

HINATA AOI;
✧ people can feel everything their soulmate feels
Hinata loves having a soulmate so much, even if you haven’t met yet. It just feels right. Every time he closes his eyes, if he focuses well enough, a gentle warmth envelops him. A faint aroma in the distance, sounds he can’t quite put his finger on. A soft yet firm beating of a heart that isn’t his own.
Everything you see, he sees soft blurs of colours of. Everything you touch, it feels right under his fingers, like covered by a soft blanket. But your feelings. He can feel each and every one of your emotions like they are his own, to the point he sometimes can’t tell if it is your happiness he is feeling or is it just his.
Everything you feel, your soulmate can feel it too. When Hinata found out about this, he swore to himself to never be sad. He would always have fun, live to the fullest and enjoy himself every single day so you wouldn’t have to deal with sad emotions because of him. They say emotions are a mirror of each other’s souls and Hinata wants to show only the best side of himself.
When he feels your sadness, he focuses on the good parts of his day. Sometimes it’s silly things like that new chocolate muffin he tried out or that cute puppy he saw on the street. It feels like the gentle flame of a candle, warm and comforting. When you’re having a really bad day, Hinata thinks of how grateful he is to have a brother like Yuta, of how much he cares for his friends. Your sadness blows away, like clouds in summer.
He cares for you so much, even if he doesn’t even know your name. He cares.
Maybe that is the reason you have fallen for him.
Not because you are soulmates but because you care for each other.
Maybe that is the reason that you’re running from your house in the late afternoon, your heart —his heart— pounding in your chest. Because you care.
You have seen blurs of green and sand, what you can recognise as a familiar park just a couple blocks down the road. There’s cold air blowing his hair as you feel sand escaping between his fingers. Your chest rising up and down so fast, tears close to form under your eyes. He feels sad. It is a deep sadness, the kind you have only managed to catch glimpses of every once in a while. But this time it is there, present.
And you aren’t going to let him deal with those sad feelings on his own.
You rush into the park and the soft sound at the back of your mind feels closer than before. A swing. Your legs can barely catch up with your mind, already running towards the swing set in the middle of the park.
It is then that you see him. That you feel him. And you are absolutely sure that he has done the exact same thing, judging by the green eyes that are staring right into yours.
“You…” He whispers, a hand grasping the chain of the swing as he tries to stand up. You breathe in, keeping the tears to yourself as the slight feeling of happiness starts spreading through your body.
“Hi. I’m here for you.” You whisper back, pretty much tackling him. With your arms around his neck, it takes Hinata a couple of seconds to realize what you mean with those words and hug you back, pressing his forehead against yours. There’s a soft smile in his lips as he traces circles in your back.
“I wasn’t expecting you to find me. Especially not today,” he says, closing his eyes for a moment. You brush a strand of orange hair from his face. His voice is warm and sweet, just like he sounded in your dreams. A gentle hand cups your cheek and it feels like your heart will burst out of your chest.
Happiness, excitement, hope.
Many feelings that you don’t know who they belong to, mingled with one another as you’re finally together.

YUTA AOI;
✧ people see in greyscale until they meet their soulmate
People say the whole world looks different when you find love —when you find your soulmate. Everything comes to life at last, turning from black and white to a myriad of colours. How do colours feel like? How does meeting your soulmate for the first time feel like? Yuta can’t wait to experience that kind of sensation at last. Is there really someone else out there that is made for him? What do they look like? What will the world look like, as soon as he falls in love? Yuta has many questions in his mind he doesn’t dare to ask, afraid that it won’t be but a fantasy in his head.
Because he is still a bit unsure after all. He isn’t that special or cool. He doesn’t want to disappoint his soulmate either. Will they think that he’s too bland? He doesn’t have that many interesting things about himself and he’s pretty sure that, given the chance, they would probably like someone brighter. Like his brother.
Those kind of ideas linger in Yuta’s head much more often than he would like to admit but he quickly shakes it off. He always keeps his hopes up. He has to keep his hopes up. If you are his soulmate then he is sure —he wants to be sure— that you will be able to understand him. As soon as you meet and start experiencing the new world together, learning new things about the other and maybe even hopefully falling in love.
Yuta smiles. Maybe he is a bit of a romantic after all. Because how will you even meet? There’s a million possible scenarios and his mind has been coming up with new ideas every single day. After all, there’s no way to tell when you’ll see each other for the first…
...time.
It’s so casual it feels silly. When he feels you bump against his shoulder because he was fantasizing, again, about your future together. Yuta blurts an apology and bows his head, but he is soon looking at your eyes. Your eyes. Their colour.
It’s like the entire world has come to life again. The sky is soft, everything around him is bright and cheerful. And you. Oh, you look so much more beautiful than he could have ever imagined. Not only is he seeing you for the first time but he’s also seeing the world for the first time. At last, everything feels complete.
Yuta doesn’t even realize how long you’ve been staring at each other until you raise your voice.
“I— H-Huh, I think.... ” You mumble, pointing at each other with a finger. He finds your sudden shyness so endearing, even when his own cheeks are completely flushed. It is then that you smile and his heart leaps. Oh. How can he even resist?
“Yuta.” He answers, even before he has time to process all those thoughts, “M-My name. Yuta Aoi.”
A soft pause as you look at each other once again, curiosity getting the best of both of you. He finds enough courage to continue with his words.
“I— W-Would you like to… have lunch together?”
When you smile again, nodding your head slightly, Yuta can’t help but join in your smile too. He wants to talk to you for hours as you slowly find out every single detail about each other. Not because you’re soulmates but because he is truly interested in everything you can show him, in everything he can show you. You might be made for each other but Yuta is sure that there is so much more to it.
He can’t wait to meet you.

That’s my Wife [Sakusa Kiyoomi]
summary: when you show up for your first day of managing the black jackals, your husband is less than thrilled with the attention you recieve from his team-members word count: 1.4k pairing: sakusa kiyoomi x wife!reader warnings: manga spoilers
with a grin on your face, you pushed open your apartment door, quickly pulling off your shoes and tossing them to the side. your husband would be home from the store in about ten minutes, so you had a little time to reflect on what you had just gotten yourself into. after pumping a dollop of soap onto your hands, you let them run underneath the soothing warm water, your lips still upturned in happiness
you had just agreed to a position as manager to your husband’s volleyball team, the msby black jackals. from what you had heard, they were one of the most talented teams in the circuit right now, rivaled only by the schweiden adlers. however, it wasn’t their rankings that made you want to work for them. the prospect of working with your husband every day was too good to pass up
just thinking about waking up together and getting to hear his morning voice while the two of you were getting dressed made your heart palpitate. even after being married for a little over a year, kiyoomi could still make your cheeks flare red with a single glance
hearing the door open, you quickly turned off the sink and dried off your hands, knowing that your husband would be less than happy if you greeted him with wet hands. you heard him call out for you and you inwardly cheered, rushing out of the kitchen to meet him
kiyoomi’s eyes brightened just a little bit at the mere sight of you, something only someone who knew him as you did would be able to notice. however, there was a look of frustration on his face, something else on you would pick out. you quirked a brow at him, continuing to wrap your arms around his waist and look up at him with soft eyes
he reached behind you to set his hands on your back, “i got a call from coach a few minutes ago.”
“oh, crap.”
kiyoomi pinched your side at your language and sighed, gently tugging himself out of your grasp. he sat down at the dining table, followed closely by you, who took a seat at his side. you carefully reached for his hand, interlacing your fingers together with a small smile
“you know how much my teammates annoy me. why would you want to put yourself through that?”, he grumbled and you could hear the annoyance in his voice at the thought of his team
you laughed, setting a hand on his cheek, feeling how he leaned into your touch almost immediately, ”unlike you, oomi, i actually enjoy talking to people. i’ve met them before, ya know? remember that night we all went out to the bar?”
kiyoomi did remember that night. he remembered having to carry you home after you had gotten yourself incredibly drunk due to atsumu challenging you to a drinking contest. he nearly killed the corn-colored blond the next day
with a huff, kiyoomi pouted, making you poke his cheek a few times with a teasing smile, “oh, come on, oomi! we’ll get to see each other every day and you never have to worry about me walking home alone. isn’t that a good thing?”
you did have a point. kiyoomi had always been adamant about you walking alone at night, or even during the day and made you meet him at his gym every day after practice anyways. maybe this was just a way to cut out the middle-man
“fine. but, you need to buy me a ton of umeboshi to make up for this, got it?”
“yeah, yeah, you big baby.”, kiyoomi stalked into the bedroom and you cackled, calling after him about how you were joking and how he had to come back and love you this instant
                                                                ----
your first day had gone off without a hitch so far. you had woken up with more energy than normal, your favorite breakfast place had gotten your order out quickly and you had been able to spend time with your husband all morning. despite, the constant deadpan look on his face, you could tell that he was happy to have you close
when the two of you got the practice gym, kiyoomi pecked your temple through his mask and retreated into the locker room while your attention was grabbed by their coach, who began to talk to you about where to put your things and what he would need you to do that day. you paid close attention to everything he was saying, not wanting to make a fool out of yourself on your first day of the job
as you began to fill up the water bottles, the doors to the gym slammed open, screams and shouts filling the large space, making you jump, nearly spilling water all over yourself
“ya are so stupid, bokuto! ya know that? ya ruined my chances with that girl back there!”, a voice heavily licked with an accent you didn’t recognize was the first one you picked up on
you furrowed your eyebrows as you watched the two adults chase one another around the court, followed closely behind a smaller, orange-haired boy, yelling at them to knock it off. with the coach nowhere to be found and kiyoomi still in the locker room, no doubt in the middle of his third shower, you figured it was up to you to calm the three down
the blond tackled the man he was chasing, dragging him down to the floor as the white and black-haired man yelped. you set your hands on your hips and walked up to the pile of fully grown men
“excuse me.”, no one even registered your voice and you rolled your eyes before walking over to the cart of volleyballs and chucking one in their direction
“hey! knock it off!”, the three of them stared at you in surprise, before the smallest one ran up to you, stopping just before he knocked you over
“who are you? i don’t think anyone else is supposed to be in here?”, he put a hand to his chin, as if in deep thought while he circled around you
the blonde chuckled and gave you a smirk, “must be one of ma fans, heh? sorry to break it to you, dollface, but, ya’re not supposed to come into the gym.”
“actually-”, the man cut you off with an arm around your shoulders
“ya are kinda cute, so if ya wanna wait outside then i can-”
suddenly, his arm was nowhere to be found. you glanced upward and saw your husband, looking angrier than you have ever seen him before, holding the man’s arm as if it was the dirtiest thing he had ever touched. kiyoomi looked down at you with a brow raised and you nodded, assuring him that you were fine
“what do you think you’re doing, miya?”, his voice was low and you noticed that the owl-looking player had moved several feet away and the small one was hiding behind his back
“geez, omi-kun, calm down, i was just tryin’ to getta fan outta here.”
kiyoomi dropped his arm and continued his glare before placing a hand on your waist, pulling you closer to his side, lip twitching upward as you rested your head on his chest, looking up at him with doe eyes
“this isn’t a fan, stupid miya. that’s my wife and for this day forward, your new manager, so i’d suggest keeping your hands to yourself and learning a little respect.”, you tapped his chest, attempting to switch his glare off but when that didn’t work, you turned back to the team
“hi! as i tried to tell you, i’m sakusa y/n, your new manager. it’s nice to meet you,”, you glanced at the blond, “not you.”
after being told their names, you assured bokuto and hinata that you weren’t mad at them, despite their begging and whining of apologies, volunteering to help you with any task you needed. you took them up on their offer and brought them into the storage room to get some help with items on taller shelves
atsumu and kiyoomi were left in the gym, beginning to hit some passes to one another, but the tension in the air was still clear
“your wife is hot, good job omi-kun.”, atsumu laughed, trying to break the silence
you swore you heard a shout before the resounding sound of a firmly spiked volleyball. with a giggle, you silently thanked your husband for helping you today and began to feel more and more excited about what your future with this team held
the end

THIS DIDN’T HAPPEN | TSUKISHIMA KEI
Tumblr media
HAIKYUU!! MASTERLIST
Tumblr media
SUMMARY: Tsukishima Kei would never admit that he happens to like receiving affection quite a bit, only from Y/N L/N of course, and only if no one ever finds out about it.
WORD COUNT: 2.5k
WARNINGS: honestly i think this is cute, but theres some angst oops, pining, unedited, kissing, kinda sad if you can read between the lines, season three spoilers
A/N: tsukki lovers come get your juice. also if you can’t tell im in the mood for haikyuu!! and tsukki so... rip the wips and requests i said i’d get done but it’ll happen eventually
Tumblr media
“Can I hug you?”
How did he end up here? A fantastic question that he cannot find the answer for as he looks down at Y/N, who’d insisted he walk her to the girl’s dorm. He probably should’ve predicted that she’d ask about his sudden change of pace, but Tsukishima doubted he ever would’ve predicted she’d ask to hug him. Especially since he definitely hadn’t been the nicest to her.
“This didn’t happen.”
That’s all Tsukishima says as he awkwardly winds his arms arounds Y/N’s form. She hums in response, and Y/N has a feeling if he could see the grin on her face he’d pull away almost immediately. Which is why she’d buried her face in his chest, arms around his body as they stand just outside dorms they’ve been residing in during their stay at the training camp alongside the other teams.
Tsukishima doesn’t know why he agreed to this. He’s not sure he wants to as he feels Y/N’s breath against his chest, causing his cheeks to warm. During the walk she’d confronted him and he’d— for some reason — told her that he didn’t intend to get left behind Hinata and Kageyama; who’d improved quite a bit it appeared. Even if Volleyball meant absolutely nothing to him.
And then she asked to hug him. Y/N just had a feeling he could use one, though, if she was honest, Y/N had expected a hard no. She’d expected him to criticize her for asking such a childish question, she’d expected teasing and cruel remarks about how ridiculous the idea was. Tsukishima had never been affectionate, or at least openly affectionate. He was never involved in team hugs, hugs in general, not even a simple fist bump from Tanaka.
And yet here he was, agreeing to a hug from Y/N L/N, one of the new managers of the Karasuno Volleyball Club.
“This didn’t happen.” Came her response, her words of agreement were muffled against Tsukishima’s chest, but he’d heard her. They had an understanding.
And he’d never admit it, but it was nice. Hugging someone. Holding someone in his arms. Tsukishima hadn’t actually accepted affection in a while, maybe it was because one of the only people he’d been close with in his life— the one person he looked up to — ended up being a liar. Maybe its because a small part of him wanted to maintain his reputation as a coldhearted jerk, or maybe its because he just hadn’t found someone’s affection he enjoyed.
Until now, of course. There was something different about having Y/N in his arms, something comforting about her presence that made him feel compelled to answer the questions she asked as she pried about his sudden change in attitude. It’s not like they were close, though he tolerated her when she’d simply started coming to club meeting; apparently she’d known Tanaka from middle school, and decided to visit him at the club, until one day it became a daily thing. They ended up giving her the title of manager after she to work alongside Kiyoko. Y/N had even helped tutor those idiots, Kageyama and Hinata, something Tsukishima somehow got roped into. After that, he had a newfound respect for the girl.
It wasn’t that he liked her. He would never like Y/N. She just helped manage the club, and Volleyball was just a sport. Besides, they’d never be that close again, never hug again, never exchange any affection at all, ever again.
He broke that promise fairly quickly.
Yamaguchi had insisted that he and Tsukishima start joining the rest of the team on their walk home, mentioning how they could stop by Ukai’s convenience store and pick up some food if they so pleased. And maybe that was what convinced him— though Yamaguchi had a feeling the mention of Y/N’s name had a little bit of influence on the decision as well — maybe not.
It didn’t take long for Tsukishima to realize that as everyone slowly branched off into their respective neighborhoods, Y/N had yet to do the same. Apparently she lived the farthest from Karasuno of the bunch, which is why Tanaka had tried to offer to walk her home.
She’d rejected the idea entirely, seeing as he’d have to walk back home in the dark by the time she’d gotten to her home. The idea didn’t sit right with Y/N, so Tanaka had left Yamaguchi, Tsukishima and Y/N on their own.
Y/N didn’t miss the look Yamaguchi gave Tsukishima as he remained by her side, tilting her head in confusion and the blonde waved his friend off and continued walking alongside Y/N. She decided it was best not to question it, they were already a questionable pair of friends and Y/N wouldn’t be shocked if they had some sort of secret code they communicated through.
When she suggested this of course, Tsukishima called her an idiot.
“That’s not very nice, Tsukki.”
If Tsukishima was honest he should’ve kept walking alongside Yamaguchi a while ago, and yet here he was, alongside Y/N. He was pretty grateful she had yet to mention it, especially since he didn’t really favor lying, and he didn’t really have an explanation as to why he decided to walk her home.
It just felt right.
“Well it’s a stupid idea.” Came his response, nose scrunching up at the nickname. Only Yamaguchi called him that, not that he had a problem with Y/N using the nickname as well.
Y/N raised a brow, “I don’t think so, you’re smart enough to make a secret code or something.” A smile found its way onto her face as she looked over to him, playfully bumping into his side as she continued, “you probably use it to write about conspiracy theories or something.”
“I’m not a conspiracy theorist, Y/N.” He side eyes the girl, scoffing at her words as he pushes his glasses up on the bridge of his nose in an attempt to distract from the warmth that flooded his chest.
Y/N hummed in reply, looking to him as she asked, “so you don’t believe that lizard people run society?”
Tsukishima’s brows furrowed as he looked to her incredulously, “absolutely not.”
“Sounds like something a lizard person would say.” Came her reply, a grin on her face as she came to a stop, likely in front of her home.
“Did you just suggest that I’m a lizard person?”
“Maybe.”
There was no way he liked Y/N L/N. In that moment, he made another promise to himself, Tsukishima Kei swore he would never like Y/N L/N, someone who was apparently a lizard person fanatic and insisted that he was a conspiracy theorist.
A silence encompasses the two as Y/N looks up at him curiously, eyes falling over his face as a small hum leaves her lips. Tsukishima doesn’t know why exactly he lets it happen, why he lets her gently grab his chin, bringing him close to press a kiss to his cheek, “thanks for walking me home, Tsukki.” When she releases his face, she turns on her heel, heading toward her door, but not before saying, “try not to get home too late, and text Yamaguchi— he’s probably worried about you.”
Okay, so maybe he would break this promise faster than last time.
“This didn’t happen.” He manages to call out to her, watching as she makes her way down the cobblestone path to her front door.
Y/N looks over her shoulder, a smirk on her face as she offers him a wave, “this didn’t happen!” She called back in agreement, stepping inside her home and shutting the door behind him.
A lot faster than last time.
He has no idea why he didn’t stop her the first time, when she asked. And he doesn’t know why he didn’t stop her now, or the next time, or the time after that. Tsukishima probably should’ve known better, he should’ve stopped indulging himself with her presence.
And yet sitting on his bed, lying on his side watching her, he knows there was no stopping this. Y/N is smirking, clearly noticing his gaze on her as she continues to silently read from her textbook, writing things down into her notebook on occasion. He almost gets frustrated at the sight, brows furrowing before he returns his eyes to his own textbook
Tsukishima probably would’ve finished a while ago had it not been for her, it’s not that Y/N had done anything, but her presence only served as a distraction at this point, leaving Tsukishima wondering just why he invited her. He can’t remember the reasoning behind his actions, but he has a feeling it wasn’t worth the lack of productivity that came with her visit.
“Have you done anything?”
As much as Tsukishima admired how observant Y/N was, he currently despised this trait of hers as he slammed the textbook shut, “yes.” It was a lie, Tsukishima had never been so unproductive in his life, and he hated it. He hated everything about this stupid project, especially the fact that she was his partner.
A laugh escaped her, earning a glare from Tsukishima, “you’re so scary.” She says, though its clear she’s teasing him as she comes to pat his cheek condescendingly, accompanied by a mocking tone and an annoying smirk.
“Whatever.” He grumbles, tossing the textbook off the bed before falling back against his bed.
Y/N hums, eyes falling over his figure as she nods to herself. “I see.”
Tsukishima scoffs at her words, lifting his head up to meet her gaze with a glare, “see what?”
Her grin only widens at his words as she shuts her own textbook, placing it on the nightstand beside her alongside her notebook before allowing herself to collapse into Tsukishima’s pillows. “You’re grumpy—” She turns to her side, lifting her arm up, “because you want a hug.”
Tsukishima looks at her incredulously, rolling his eyes as he brings his hands to his face, causing Y/N to lower her arm as she pouts. “You’re stupid.” He mumbles, watching her push up onto her elbows.
“And you’re a touch-starved grump.” Comes her reply, prying his hands form his forehead to gently remove his glasses, reaching over him to place it on the other nightstand before returning to her side of the bed. She lifts her arm once more, looking to Tsukishima expectantly.
He inhales deeply, looking away in an attempt to maintain some of his pride when he feels his cheeks redden. “We have work to do.”
“The project isn’t due for another two weeks, Kei.”
Tsukishima finds himself trying to glare at her, though it fails when he realizes she’s said his first name and he can’t bring himself to be upset anymore, simply saying, “this didn’t happen.” Before his arms come around her waist, Y/N’s arm that was once hovering above her now wrapped around his neck as she pulled him closer. Her other hand coming to tangle her fingers in his hair.
“This didn’t happen.” She repeated.
That day, he promises that the next time they meet, they’re actually going to get work done. He breaks this promise too, quickly realizing that this is a theme whenever the promises are related to Y/N.
Tsukishima doesn’t really realize that he’s in too deep until the day his lips crash against hers and he finds himself whispering those damned words once more, “this didn’t happen.” His hands running down her sides as he tries to pull her closer because whenever he’s around her that cold that plagues him day and night seems to fade, replaced the warmth she seems radiate as though she’s the sun.
He hates that he compares her to the sun, he hates that she’s become something he needs, a presence he craves, because Y/N L/N was meant to be nobody and now she seems to be one of the most important people in his life. He hates that she understands him, that she can read his every move better than he can, that she knows what he needs before he even says it.
He doesn’t realize he’s in too deep until he’s promising himself not to fall in love.
Because for the first time in a while, Tsukishima Kei wants nothing more than to touch, he wants to feel, even though he’s filled with fear of the unknown, fear of the feelings he so desperately wanted to avoid. For once in his life, he wants to let go, because he finally feels comfortable enough to do so.
This time all she says is, “I know.”
Because Y/N knows that falling for Tsukishima was a mistake, a big one. She’s well aware of the fact that the boy is emotionally unavailable and renowned for his rude attitude and crude remarks. She knows that even if they have these silent moments together, even if she’s held him in her arms at night, even if they’ve been closer than she’s even been with anyone else, this basically means nothing. Because its not like either of them would ever do anything about the fact that the few words they did share in moments like these, weren’t ones of denial that the moments didn’t happen, but something else entirely at this point.
Confessions in their own right.
But she knows that all she’ll ever be, is something that didn’t happen. Not a story of his first love, not the girl he talks about with his friends, not the one he thinks about, the one he saw in everyday life. She was nobody, because she didn’t happen.
She doesn’t know that she’s wrong. Very wrong. That Tsukishima spoke fondly of her— honestly, Yamaguchi loves Y/N, he really does, but he’d getting a bit tired of hearing about how the mundane things she does that Tsukishima happens to notice. That he thought of her frequently, that the smell of coffee reminded him of her now, that the sight of the sunset she fawned over every time they walked home together only served as a reminder of her.
It’s not until he’s crying out in victory because they beat Shiratorizawa, Karasuno won, he won. It’s not until he’s so overwhelmed with emotion that he finds his legs moving on their own, towards Y/N; who stands beside Ukai and Takeda, the pair had taken to screaming at each other in the midst of their excitement. It’s not until his hands are on her face, bringing her into a kiss, much to her surprise, that he realizes what exactly the warmth was.
“This didn’t happen?” She asks, trying her hardest to ignore the stares of the team—though many of them are still caught up in their own celebration— as she looks to him.
Tsukishima simply grins, “I didn’t say that.”

— Emily Dickinson
i. I will protect you.
Takemichi was drowning.
He was drowning in the sea of doubt and hopelessness. What was he thinking? Going back to the future to undo every mistake that he did there and save Hina? He couldn’t even save himself from Kiyomasa’s punches and roundhouse kicks. He clenched his fists as he stared at the blinking street lights around the city that evening, ignoring the stares from the other people because of his mottled face and bruised body.
However, was it the right thing to do? To run away again? To struggle in vain and restart his stale life all over again?
He could feel his eyes started to water as he remembered Hina’s forthright yet breathtaking smile when she uttered those words at him in the midst of his own torment and wretchedness: I will protect you.
Her smile was the burst of psychedelic hues to Takemichi’s dull, greyscale life.
And he swore to himself that he won’t fail her this time around.
He would save her.
Even it could him his own sanity and life in the long run.
ii. The only way to win is to kill me! I definitely won’t lose!
The first time that Mikey saw Takemichi was when he was in the middle of an underground fight with Kiyomasa which was to be honest looked like a one-sided battle since the poor guy was being treated like a punching bag by his opponent.
He pursed his lips. Underground fights were stupid and he didn’t want to have the name of the Toman to be tainted by a useless slugfest like this. He was about to make his way there when he stopped midway upon hearing the young man’s speeches that was brimming with firmness and determination.
“The only way to win is to kill me! I definitely won’t lose!”
But the one that caught his full attention was his deep blue eyes shining with tenacity and valor. There were only few people around the world that possessed that kind of reckless yet admirable conviction.
He hadn’t seen that kind of eyes and fighting spirit since his late older brother.
That day he had made up his mind. He needed to have a buddy like Takemichi into his life.
He signaled for Draken to make their presence known when Kiyomasa was getting berserk and demanding for a bat.
The crowd went in complete, deathly silence as they presented themselves and was already beating up Kiyomasa after he succinctly made his existence well known in front of Takemichi.
“Takemitchy. See ya later.” He shot him a carefree grin before he turned away and left the place completely. The young man’s befuddled yet ingenuous expression was forever etched into his memory.
His candid, azure irises painted a sheer, rich texture of prismatic hues to Mikey’s void, insipid life.
iii. I ain’t gonna give her up ever again!
Hinata’s hand was trembling.
Nevertheless, she wouldn’t give these people the satisfaction of seeing the fear creeping up slowly within her. She knew that Takemichi was too trustful and forthright to a fault even though it’s also one of the reasons why she had fallen in love with him.
She just can’t stand there and watched the two delinquents domineered him into their own whims and wants whenever they wanted to. She promised Takemichi that she will protect him after all and she always held and fulfill her own promises.
However, she made a mistake of thinking naively that they can get away unscathed after she pulled out a brave yet foolish stunt of slapping the blond right in front of the class. She tried not to shake as she felt a hand gripped her wrist and heard the threat of the tall male with braided locks that made her swallow thickly.
“Hey. Do you want me to kill you, bitch?”
She heard more words and threats that came out of his mouth before she decided to respond and gave him a piece of her mind. Takemichi was always bruised, crestfallen and lost every time she saw him dropping by her flat. She had enough of these people dictating and treating him like their own slaves. Even if this will put her in a risky situation, she will defend and protect the man she loves.
She was now ready for the consequences of her actions but she was taken aback when Takemichi’s hand gripped the tall male’s shoulder firmly and demanded him to let her go. No. No. No. No. She didn’t want Takemichi to suffer and take the brunt of her actions. If she had to intervene again to save him, then she will have to do it even if it could cost this her own life.
She was about to speak again when Takemichi’s next words made her eyes widened briefly and rooted her to the spot.
“I ain’t gonna give her up ever again!”
It was stated with raw conviction and firm temerity that she had to double take and stared up at him with wide eyes that was brimming with amazement and concern for his well-being now that he challenged the two delinquents in front of them.
‘Takemichi-kun…’ Hinata restrained a gasp as she observed Takemichi in silence. It was like seeing another facet of him that was different from what she used to see. But she liked his tenacity and firmness. He may be a crybaby and wore his heart on his sleeve but she knew that his heart was in the right place.
After a troublesome misunderstanding later and apologies pouring from her lips, she waved goodbye to Takemichi and let him hang out with his newfound friends.
His loyalty and conviction brought out a multitude of colors to Hinata’s sepia life.
And she could never get tired of loving him.
iv. That’s why I’m going to create an era for delinquents.
Mikey stared at the horizon in front of them with a serene smile on his face.
Takemichi observed him from a few distances away, looking at the quiescent male who was sitting on the grass. Draken was also standing a few meters away from them, sporting an unflappable expression on his face.
From what he observed so far, Mikey was a delinquent but he was not a bad guy. He was simply a person who possessed some radical beliefs on his own and translated it into his actions that may be questionable to other people due to his carefree yet strong personality and straightforward manner of speaking.
He had also noted some odd yet interesting behavior from the gang leader himself. Even though he’s mostly laid back and insouciant he had a habit of flipping a switch to his moods seamlessly, revealing a hidden cold anger and ruthless nature from within as he had witnessed on how he just beat up Kiyomasa like it was nothing.
There was a saying that the eyes were the mirror to the soul.
But when he looked at Mikey’s onyx eyes it was a bottomless pit of nothingness. Devoid of any emotion and was a vacuum of an empty black hole. He remembered how he stared down at Kiyomasa like he was nothing more than a pathetic insect under his palm that’s waiting to be crush. And how Mikey’s eyes almost suck the life out of him earlier in that tense situation with Hina, almost resigning himself for the inevitable punch that would come from his hands only to be tricked and playfully derided by him that he’s a dummy and he doesn’t hit girls.
Hence, he had reached a conclusion that Mikey was hard to understand and read his intentions sometimes.
However, one thing was for sure: Mikey was not a bad person and he’d be willing to help and save him alongside with Hina to prevent them from meeting their miserable future and demise.
He just had to convince Naoto to get to the bottom of the problem and find out the reason why Mikey turned out the way he was in the future.
“That’s why I’m going to create an era for delinquents.”
The gang leader didn’t need to convince him twice when he asked him to join his gang after he shared his goal and vision to him. Just looking at his charismatic smile and earnestness, Takemichi knew that he was drawn in. Hook. Line. And sinker.
v. You should come with me. I like your guts. Hanagaki Takemichi.
He stood up but he was still looking at the horizon when he finally revealed his vision and intentions to him, uttering his name correctly for the first time.
“You should come with me. I like your guts. Hanagaki Takemichi.”
Mikey couldn’t picture out his exact reaction to his words but he could already surmised the genuine astonishment and wonder that was written on his clear blue eyes. Then the seriousness and determination that would crossed his face afterwards.
That’s the kind of guy Takemichi was. Honest, sincere, determined yet reckless sometimes when it came to defending his beliefs and the people that he mostly cares about. It’s easy to read him. Just dropped a verbal bomb in front of him and he’ll be getting a multitude of interesting expressions from his face.
…and there were times that he isn’t.
He had seen how Takemichi would be like an open book but with hidden pages that was not visible to the naked eye. Takemichi wasn’t a liar yet he was a secretive person as well. He cannot forget his initial reaction when he asked him casually if he’s really a middle schooler in that school. It was an unguarded moment for the young lad and he had a look that screamed of panic and anxiousness.
Interesting.
Even though Takemichi was an emotionally expressive person and vocal about what he believed was right and wrong, he still couldn’t decipher what his real purpose was. All he knew as of the moment was, he was too protective of his girlfriend Hinata who gave him an amazing slap earlier.
He was willing to defend and fight for her even against to the people like them.
What a reckless guy. But he guessed that was a part of Takemichi’s own charm. He couldn’t help but to be intrigue by this person who possessed those electrifying sky-blue irises and a sheer will determination.
‘Hinata huh? What a lucky gal…’ Mikey thought as he gazed at Takemichi’s profile.
For now, he could only basked in the vibrancy and vivid hues of Takemichi’s presence, coloring his monochromatic world with the promises of hope for the future.
(A/N: I don’t own Tokyo Revengers and any of the characters from this franchise. Inspired by the scenes that shows the relationship and interactions of Takemichi with Hinata and Mikey. I believed in Takemikeyhina supremacy but I lived for some drizzle of angst and pining hence the end results of this one shot. Apologies in advance for some grammatical errors and if some of them are OOC as English is not my native language and I’ve tried my best to keep them in character. Reviews are amusing hence I look forward to hear them from you).
