hii could i request like a little drabble or headcanons for racer L&DS characters? the idea been eating away in my mind for soooo long😭😭

RAFAYEL is your typical babygirl racer man. I swear this is an entire sub population of F1 racers and I love them. He’s ALWAYS winking or kissing at the cameras and looks so zesty when he poses with his hands on his hips (especially because he’s in that tiny jumpsuit). He drives his fans crazy and they make so many edits of him LOL *cue velocity edit of him taking his helmet off. He gets very serious during races though, he’s a top racer, and can get pretty riled up when things go wrong. If you were dating the man, expect to get spoiled and shown off A LOT. He’d protect you from paparazzi and crazy fans but will never stop flexing how pretty you are on his socials. Of course you reciprocate and he thinks its so cute when you make little photo edits of you two with hearts all over them.

ZAYNE is actually kind of a mystery man. He bursts onto the scene with immediate top 3 finishes in all the big races but never takes off his helmet. He’s always calm and only ever really gives a small thumbs up to cameras and nothing more. The mask kink crazies (me) are going feral over this man. His jumpsuit shows off his muscle and his voice is absurdly deep, bro has it all. When he does finally take off his helmet, it’s due to a crash and cracked helmet. The medical team needs to check his head so he has to remove it. He starts trending on twitter after that day. No wonder he hid his face this whole time. If you’re his partner he’d definitely tell you that he only wanted you to see him without the mask. He treats you like a princess, publicly escorting you places and always holding your hand. You cheer him on from the VIP suite at every single race.

XAVIER has been the longest standing champion despite all the hate. Of course he has a lot of fans as well but being in the spotlight so much naturally brings negativity. He purposely acts aloof and stupid to piss off his haters more when he inevitably wins the world cup. Those who really know him though are fully aware that he’s just acting. He’s unbelievably good at the sport and he does it all without breaking a sweat (not literally, like he actually sweats a lot LOL). There's definitely compilations of him breaking character during interviews where he actually says something intelligent or when he accidentally rizzes up his interviewer. If you two were dating it would probably just be a really sweet relationship that all his fans adore. Even the haters would probably think you’re pretty or be jealous. He tried to shield you from bad press and you think it's so cute he cares about you instead of himself in these situations. You of course do all you can to prevent paparazzi from getting to him too but he'll still kiss you in front of them.

Kids Choice Awards

a/n: I know I know.... but im back! the next chapters are a build up so stay with me!

Award season was not done yet. After the Brits you had limited time to relax as you were heading out to America for the Kids Choice Awards.

Going through airports would probably never get easier. Paps constantly shouting and the blinding flashes of light was not even the worse. It was the fact that Harry and Niall were the worst at getting through them. You, Liam, Louis, and Zayn always formed a bubble around them. Being friends with Beverly meant you were always in crowds, she was -rightfully so- the most popular girl at school.

After making it through the Paps and security you were headed onto the private jet. “You okay?” you asked the boys who were sitting staring out the window as the plane took off. “Yeah it just doesn't get easier does it?” Harry spoke into the blanket held close to his chin. “It will. I promise it won't take as much affect out of you.” he smiled as best he could at you before looking back out the window

You looked over at Zayn who was already asleep and chuckled before looking at Louis and Liam. Liam had been having a rough patch with his girlfriend and they decided a break was needed between them, you could see how much it really affected him. Louis and Elenor tho, that was something different, they were a relatively happy couple. They had known each other before you all had blown up and you knew Louis cherished that.

‘Li,” you whispered as the seatbelt sign went off. “You ‘right?” you walked over to his chair and he opened his arms for you. You went and sat in his lap as he held you. “Dani and I are thinking of calling it.” He whispered and your heart broke for him. “But i thought you were just taking a break and then getting back when tour was over?” He shrugged his shoulders in response, “told me she didnt want to wait that long.” you hugged him tighter knowing that's all he really wanted.

“I love you Bow,” you smiled looking down at him, “i love you so much.” you kissed the top of his repeating the same words back to him as he held you tighter. It wasn't easy being a bunch of teens forced into proximity, feelings were going to arise, as they had with you harry and niall, but they same also happened with zayn, louis, and liam. It seemed they all really did have some sort of a crush on you, and you them.

The lines were blurry, very blurry, but it just changed everyone's meaning of friendship in the band. There was a ton more flirting than any normal friendship group, and your stereotypical boundaries were always crossed. But it worked for all of you, and that's the only thing that mattered.

You were in a separate room from the boys as Lou was getting you ready. “I don't think you understand how much I love having you here Lou.” you two laughed and continued talking not worried about what the boys were doing.

“We want to make it official with Autumn.” Niall spoke to the boys in their shared room. They all cheered loudly before Harry was shutting them down. “Hey she right there.” he pointed at the wall where you technically were. “She can't hear us.” Zayn shrugged off. “How are you gonna do it?

“Just do it now.”

They all snapped their heads towards the door. “You were pretty loud.” Harry and Niall came over to you with their heads down. “We wanted to make it special.” Harry sighed, throwing his head on your shoulder. “I know love.” you giggled at his pout. “I'm sorry.” you whispered looking at him and Niall. ‘Its okay.” Niall added softly. “But will you be with us officially?”

You smiled widely looking both boys. “Idk, Louis what do you think?” Harry and Niall groaned as everyone laughed. “Don't ask them, they're gonna say no!” Harry complained and you took his face in your hands. “I'm taking the piss of course i'll be with you guys officially.”

You kissed Harry quickly and then Niall as the boys and now Lou and Paul cheered. “I love you three, but we have to go. Autumn, shoes please.” Paul laughed looking at your bare feat which should have been in heels.

So far the awards were exactly what you thought. Very kiddy. It was so cute. Hearing the cheers when you were announced for performances was so cute.

Seeing all of these celebrities was still such a new thing for you. Taylor Swift, Ariana Grande, Andrew Garfield who the boys knew was your favourite.

The entire show was full of the whole band laughing and dancing at all the events of the show. It was finally your turn to perform now.

“After being discovered on the U.Ks X-factor.”

“They just made music history, by being the only british group to top the american charts, with their first album. Which also topped the charts in 15 other countries.”

“They are… Niall, Zayn, Liam, Harry, Louis, and my favourite Autumn.”

“Here is One Direction.”

The stage went dark as the 6 screens sketched outlines of your body. The whole thing was like a glitch. Then, there you were as the first notes of ‘What Makes You Beautiful’ played.

All of you were dressed in black and white. You jumped around the stage as if you would in a concert and high fived some of the fans by the stage. You and Harry made sure that you made it back for your solo in the middle as the lights dropped and the spotlight was on you.

You were successful this time around and went back to jumping around on stage, punching the biggest balloon you've ever seen.

The rest of the show went smoothly and when it was done you were meeting so many different people. Michelle Obama wanted to meet you and you almost passed out. Even being from a different country she did amazing things for black women like yourself.

The boys made sure you met Andrew Garfield which turned out to be in your favour as he had wanted to meet you too. You exchanged numbers promising to stay in touch. You met the cast of Victorious and iCarly and the cast of Hunger Games which made you nervous beyond reason.

At the end of the night at the after party you were all dancing around and saw Harry and Taylor chatting. You saw Harry look at you and waved you over. “Hi it's so nice to meet you.” your accent was a little thicker than normal based on how tired you were. “I absolutely love you in the band.” Taylor commented back and smiled widely as she did. “She is the leader, the only one keeping us together. She's really the best.” you looked up at him with teary eyes. “Stop it Haz.” you pouted as he kissed your forehead and wrapped an arm over your shoulder.

You ended up leaving them as others wanted to see you. By the end of night your social battery was dead. You fell right into bed between Niall and Harry slowly drifting to sleep. “So happy you're ours.” Harry mumbled into your neck. “So happy.” Niall added before you let sleep over take you.

Just Like Before. Pt. 2 {Rhea Ripley x Fem!Bloodline!Reader}

Roman didn’t even seem to care about how Y/N would feel about this “Temporary Alliance.” The Tribal Chief hasn’t been treating her like an equal member of the Bloodline lately because of her brother's betrayal at Royal Rumble. The sound of the chair hitting his back was deafening, and for a moment Y/N forgot she was being watched by thousands of people. Roman and Paul have been holding Y/N under a microscope ever since, waiting to see if she’d betray him like Sami had. Y/N knew that's the real reason Roman chose The Judgement Day to help them with their Sami Zayn problem. He wanted to see if being around Ripley would keep her loyal to The Bloodline.

Since the alliance began, The Judgment Day was forced to attend The Bloodlines meetings. The meeting would always go the same way, Dominik would act like a bored child and make loud huffs which would lead to Paul yelling at him, then Rhea would get mad at Paul for yelling at Dom, then eventually everyone would get pissed at each other. YN would do what she always did and just sit and wait for the chaos to end. Today however it felt like it would never end, and in all the yelling and attempted assaults, Y/n had snuck out of the meeting room. Backstage had become a safe palace for Y/n in the past year, nobody bothered her, and she could get away from The Bloodline. Y/n sat on a large storage box that was in the corner, Staff would walk past her and say a quick ‘hello’, then get on with their jobs.

“Hey.” Y/n knew that voice, its the voice that calmed her during storms when she was a kid, it was Sami. Y/n looked up to see the kind smile of her brother, she looked back down, hoping he would just walk away if she ignored him.

“I'm sorry about Roman making you work with her, you don’t deserve that.” Sami says remorseful,

“If the Tribal Chief thinks what's best then,” Y/n paused with a snarky tone, “Then that's what's best.” Y/n’s eyes meet her brothers again. Sami thinks for a moment trying to figure out what he should say. Y/n hops off the storage box she’d been sitting to stand in front of her brother properly,

“Listen Y/n, I'm really sor-” before Sami can finish, Rhea appears beside them. Rhea stares intimidatingly at Sami,

“Is he bothering you y/n?” Rhea finally says in a dangerously calm voice. Y/n looks between Rhea and her brother, then gets between them,

“No, he was just leaving.” Y/n squints at Sami, hoping he'd get the message. Sami looks at Y/n then at Rhea, clearly not happy with his little sister's current situation. He sighs,

“Yeah, um, just, think about it ok Y/n?” Sami mutters before leaving the two women alone. Y/n watches as Sami walks away. Rhea moves in front of Y/n to block her sight of Sami. Rhea’s eyes hold a wicked look in them,

“So you ran off to speak with the enemy?” Rhea speaks bitterly. Why won’t Rhea just leave her alone? After all this time she can’t just waltz back in that easily. All Rhea Has ever done is hurt Y/n. They met in NXT and became friends, that friendship slowly became something more. Joining the WWE roster with Rhea was one of the happiest days in Y/n’s life, not only would she be working with Sami but her girlfriend as well. The crowd loved Rhea and Y/n’s relationship, the two of them were an electrifying and entertaining tag team as well. But when Rhea joined the Judgment Day it all crumbled. Rhea didn’t spend time with Y/n anymore, and she’d come home late at night. Rhea finally broke up with Y/n leaving her to deal with it on her own. Sami asked Y/n to join the bloodline with him, and the rest was history. Y/n gets out of her deep thoughts, and leered at Rhea,

“No, I was trying to get away from you.” Rhea chuckles at Y/n’s response, and grabs one of Y/n’s arms, pulling her close.

“Well. you can’t get rid of me that easily.”

episode 1: paradise blues {HS}

It’s the first day of the retreat and y/n is struggling not to pounce on Harry. Secrets are revealed and more secrets are being made.

warnings: none really. teasing. smut... (maybe)

word count: 2.5k

This morning was a rude awakening.

Literally.

First, Harry decided to tease me awake by using the hand he had on my stomach, letting his fingers play with the tiny bow on my underwear. Then, before I could fully be aware of my surroundings the lights in the bedroom turned on causing, everyone to groan. I bury my head back into the pillow as Harry nuzzles closer to me when a ding is heard throughout the room.

“Good morning. Today is your first full day at the retreat. Enjoy your first day of celibacy.” Lana announces throughout the room and no one makes a move to get up. Harry pushes his hips into mine pulling me closer to him with his arm.

“I don’t want to get up.” He mumbles and I sigh reaching my hand back to thread my fingers through his hair.

“Neither do I.” I mumble back. We all stay in bed before someone actively starts to get ready for the day. I eventually get Harry to let me go and I get ready putting on a black and white bikini before heading out to the pool. I join Niall, Louis, Ava, and Riley in the pool while Sage and Zayn lounge around on the chairs.

“So how are y’all feeling about this retreat so far?” I ask them and most of them respond with shrugs.

“Upset that I took time off work to do this but it’s whatever nothing I can do now.” Ava says and Riley agrees with her.

“Who knew that getting chicks would bite me in the ass.” Niall comments and we all laugh.

“God I can’t believe we're getting cockblocked by a fucking cone.” Louis also comments making us laugh even harder. Once everyone settles we begin to talk about our home lives among other things and I begin to observe everyone's behaviors. Niall and Riley seem to be getting close as well as Ava and Louis but I can’t tell what everyone’s motives are towards each other. Eventually, the topic gears back to the retreat when Riley asks a question.

“How much do you guys think the fines are going to be?”

“I think like a peck is going to be $100 and then like a make out would be like $300.” Ava is the first to speak up and I agree with her but Niall shakes his head.

“Knowing that this is supposed to be “rehab” it’s probably worth a good chunk of money. Like a kiss is probably $1000 or something ridiculous.” I shrug my shoulders also agreeing.

“Yeah but let’s hope it’s the first one so we can break the rules more often.” I say and everyone laughs. We stay in the pool for a little more until switching spots with Sage and Zayn. As we relax and dry off in the sun we make small talk about everyone else.

“So if you guys had a free pass to kiss anyone here who would it be? Personally I’d kiss Louis.” Ava asks everyone. Louis says Ava, Riley says Niall, and Niall says Riley to no one’s shock until it’s left to me to answer.

“Uh, probably Harry.” I answer and Ava squeals.

“Oh spill.” She instigates and I roll my eyes flipping onto my stomach.

“I mean we’ve basically been attached at the hip since the moment he arrived and he was pissed yesterday when Zayn kissed me. And he’s fucking fine. Like if this was the actual show I signed up for I’d be fucking him as much as possible.” I explain and Ava and Riley are engrossed while Louis and Niall are having a conversation of their own.

“I get it girl, I’d be jumping Niall if it was under normal circumstances.” Riley supports me while Ava nods.

“Alright I’m going to head out guys I’ll see y’all later.” I tell them waving goodbye to the boys as well as Sage and Zayn. I walk around before finding an empty area with day beds away from everyone. I close my eyes letting myself cool down in the shade until a throat clears. I peek one eye open seeing Harry standing in front of me.

“Is there room for one more?” He asks and I nod moving over so he can fit in. He gets comfortable laying on his back before turning his head to look at me.

“I haven’t seen you since this morning what have you been doing?” He asks me and I shrug.

“I was at the pool with Niall, Louis, Riley, and Ava.” I answer him and he nods.

“How was that?”

“It was good. We just hung out and talked.” I smile as he rolls onto his side to face me his eyes tracing my body up and down. His hand comes to rest on my stomach and I take in a deep breath. He removes his hand from my stomach places it on my hip and rolls me onto my side so we face each other. Our foreheads touch and if I lean any closer we would kiss.

“Careful. We don’t want to break any rules.” I tease him and he smirks letting out a small chuckle.

“You’re right.” He leans back slightly, his hand rubbing up and down my side.

“Lana never said anything about teasing.” Harry says and I shake my head.

“Don’t you even think about it.” I chastise him, bringing my hand up and pausing his movements. A smirk lines his lips as he pulls me into his chest. I sigh as my head rests on his chest hearing his heartbeat.

His hand rubs up and down my back playing with my hair every couple of passes and I feel peaceful. I eventually move my head up to look at Harry and I see he’s already looking at me. The tension between us is thick. He dips his head down as I crane mine up and we are about to kiss but he pulls away.

“Don’t want to break the rules now do we?” He teases me and I let out a breath shaking my head as he smiles. He gets up from the day bed holding out his hand and I gladly accept it letting him pull me up. We head inside to the bedroom and see Zayn, Liam, Sage, and Kate all sitting on the bed playing with condoms. I stop in my tracks as I stare confused.

“Where the fuck did you guys get condoms?” I ask and they turn toward me before laughing.

“They were in the cabinets!” Sage laughs while Kate starts blowing one up. I make my way towards them grabbing one to open. I blow it up and tie it off before tucking it under my arm.

“Guys meet Dickie.” I announce holding him up and everyone laughs. I put him on the bed Harry and I share as Harry shakes his head at me.

“Am I getting kicked out of bed for a condom balloon?” He asks and I shrug.

“Be good and we’ll see.” I tease him. He rolls his eyes at me as I sit down on the bed letting myself decompress. A while passes when someone new enters the room and I notice it’s Niall.

“Hey, guys Lana wants us to meet in the cabana.” He tells us and we all nod making our way outside. I sit next to Sage as Harry sits next to me resting his hand on my thigh. We all talk as everyone makes their way to the cabana and once everyone is there Lana dings.

“I have news for everyone.” She begins and people start murmuring about what it could possibly be.

“There has been a breach of the rules.” Everyone’s jaws drop and Harry turns his head to look at me. I widen my eyes not knowing what to do and he squeezes my thigh to reassure me.

“Alright fess up who did it?” Kate asks looking around and I shrug my shoulders staying quiet. No one speaks and people start getting upset. I look back at Harry and he sighs.

“Y/N and I kissed last night.” He announces and I drop my head as everyone shoots theirs to look at us.

“Bloody hell.” Liam groans and Sage lightly slaps my shoulder.

I have a lot to say on the subject of why Harry was behaving as he was in the last two or three years of 1D. (That Letdown blog is so biased, obviously, she’s ignoring so much.) It all depends on how you really, truly view all of the people in the band, maybe excluding Niall, who seemed miraculously exempt from all rancour but also interest.

I see Louis as a disruptor, a nasty little man whose idea of fun is to harm people and laugh about it. Lazy and untalented. Louis fans see him as a soft and vulnerable sweetheart with a vast intellect and sense of integrity (literally incredible to me). I see Liam as his sidekick, a young man who’s said openly he doesn’t know who he is, who followed Louis in his antics, but who worked hard on stage. I see Zayn as a person who isn’t temperamentally suited to being famous, talented up to a point, but not a giver in any sense. Fans of Zayn want him to be a musical genius with an off-the-scale talent but the fact is he’s just a somewhat good singer who unrealistically joined a boy band that got bigger than he could cope with, and anyway ended up sour because they weren’t going to be able to do r’n’b (can you imagine how pathetic it would have been for them to try).

Then I look at Harry, who must have been seeing everywhere, day after day, that he was the one with ‘it’, that he was the beating heart of the band - and he was looking round at these young men who were fucking about, disrupting stuff, taking advantage, staying unrealistic. So of course he planned to get out of 1D, which let’s face it wasn’t going to last because boybands don’t. But he never hid it, he did a lot in plain sight: building his relationship with Jeff, learning to write songs with others, changing his style, never socialising with the others, and of course being up front about not wanting to sign another contract. His fans were aware so the band was aware.

I just don’t see how any of that means he was underhanded about it. It could not have been more clear. That’s just the stuff we know about. If you think Louis is a little baby boy who deserves the world, then you must think Harry was being cruel - but to accuse him of being devious is to misuse that word. If you think Liam and Zayn deserved the most because they’re good singers, then it looks unfair that Harry wins all the time, but it’s a misunderstanding about what makes entertainment.

It’s my opinion that Harry took everything in, got the piss taken regularly by his bandmates, hated how they didn’t nurture themselves personally or professionally, wanted more for himself, knew he could deliver it. He wasn’t going to sacrifice that opportunity for the sake of a few people who would never, ever thank him for it. He worked out his contract and is only ever complimentary about his time in 1D. He made a couple of jokes/comments about Zayn but never about the others, and is on the record as saying multiple times that he enjoyed his time in the band, that there’s a strong bond between them, that they are in touch still (not sure I believe that actually but we do not know). Letdown mod seems fixated on him saying that he felt some shame and anxiety about contracts, but that doesn’t negate anything he’s also said. We are all capable of negative feelings whilst also appreciating the good in something: if we are emotionally mature, that is. In any case those aren’t the words of someone who is shitting all over his time in the band or slagging off his bandmates.

TL;DR if you are unrealistic about who 1D were as people, you might also be unrealistic about why at least 3 of them were not good to work with. It’s been years now, it’s been established that everyone knew what Harry was doing if they only had eyes to see: he wasn’t hiding it, and he was actually allowed to not sign another contract, people do that all the time if they don’t like their job.

Thank you, thank you so much for responding.. i thought you would ignore considering i started off saying am a larrie..i hope that is the case, i hope louis really got it out of his system and healed.. i just hope he knows he is gem of a person from what I’ve seen.. you may disagree with me but i thought they were still together or got together after their definite break up(which most people does not think) in 2022 was because louis wore ‘maison’ shirt on harry’s house album release day.. now in hindsight it kind of pisses me off that he does such things.. supporting harry for his album though he has got over enthusiastic team to promote his work but harry did nothing to show his support for Louis’ album release(paraded in malls with his new person).. later in one of his concerts made a joke that there is no place for short kings in his house and dedicated the one song ‘sweet creature’ which i thought no matter what would stay louis’ to his sister.. its just unfair that louis loyal to a fault does not get what he usually gives to people..🥺🥺 and for some reason he has to face all these troubles from all directions(blacklisting, no proper team to promote his work)

For what it’s worth, I do believe that there was some contact between Harry Styles and Louis Tomlinson between 2015 and 2018, even if it was just for strategic planning of their solo careers.

I do believe that some of the “coincidences” were coordinated, and Louis was talked into doing some things demanded from him (the Larry denial on Dan Wootton’s interview, for example), which turned out mostly to benefit Harry’s solo career. And whatever this stunt with Nick Grimshaw was. Maybe these were conditions set by Sony for Louis to be promoted in his own career; maybe he genuinely thought Harry would mutually reciprocate his good will.

I look back on Matt Vines’ following Jeff Azoff in December 2018, right as Louis’ judging on X Factor UK ended, and at the cusp of Louis’ releasing singles for Walls. What curious timing that was! Matt Vines doesn’t follow Niall’s or Liam’s or Zayn’s management.

I look back at the overlapped promo of Walls and Fine Line, and the probability that Harry’s promo was scheduled for his second album to be released in September 2019 (Rolling Stone cover shot in May 2019, The Face cover shoot and interview, and others) but pushed to December because the release of Walls the album was also delayed by Fizzy’s death in 2019)— the way that Sony stacked their release schedules to bury Louis’ album.

And, more speculatively, I believe in some contact throughout 2018 until Louis stopped it, based on various things. It makes sense to me from a songwriting and movement perspective. Believe it or not, there were blogs tracking their flights and locations to prove “the two week rule.” Larries’ boundless invasion of privacy was the reason they always smugly upheld Larry, until they changed their minds and told their followers that couples can spend decades apart, starting around 2018. It was obvious that Harry was in Japan for months in winter 2018, while Louis was in the UK, and Harry spent most of his time with Camille Rowe’s friends, Kid Harpoon, the Queer Eye guys, and possible new gf prospect Kiko Mitsuhara.

In 2019, Louis was still invited to perform for the Hits Live Birmingham concert (May 2019), and he still got a few spins on Hits Live. Capital FM had stopped playing any Louis Tomlinson solo music after December 2017. Louis did a charity performance for BBC Radio in 2019, but they played his solo music minimally.

I think Louis knew, after the announcement of the title of Walls was delayed so Harry could put out the Lights Up music video (on International Coming Out Day, same day as Just Like You), how Walls promo going to go. It would just be Louis and his team going up against the entire UK establishment, who are always going to side with the powerful and moneyed.

It’s funny when Larries say that Louis released Walls on January 31 for Harry’s birthday, because 1. Louis didn’t even remember the release day when he played the game with the Louie, and 2. because of what happened that day. James Corden had Meghan Trainor on Carpool Karaoke that night (her album was released the same day). While Louis was giving his concert in Rough Trade, NYC, Harry was filming a segment in Miami with James Corden’s parents, then preparing for his disastrous pre-Super Bowl gig that got flooded out, then having dinner with Rande Gerber at 1 or 2 AM in Miami, then flying to LA for a birthday party for Jeff’s gf Glenne where Harry was filmed completely blitzed. Very romantic of Harry, wasn’t it?

So I don’t think it’s plausible to think that Louis would consider disclosing any of his future timeline to one of his former bandmates just to be upstaged again, when his bandmate obviously had no hesitation tanking his first album (and staying quiet while his fans told Liam Payne to kill himself after LP1 came out). I think it’s pretty funny in retrospect to see that Liam and Niall had no idea— absolutely no idea— what Louis was doing professionally in 2020, which makes The Snuts’ comment that Louis is “quite private” even funnier. Obviously I think Louis wouldn’t be in a romantic relationship with Harry after all of this.

I think you mean that Louis wore a Maison Margiela shirt the day Harry’s House was released (I still can’t believe that Harry actually ripped off a Joni Mitchell title for a whole ass album). Gentle reminder that Louis has worn Maison Margiela for a long time. It is a design house with witty references that Louis has used to good effect. Famously, he wore a Maison Margiela sweater for the Walls music video (please read the post). I would think that by wearing Maison Margiela, Louis simply likes the designer or is referencing his own relationship to the designer rather than anything else. In addition, as I’ve already said, the idea of “Home” is central to Louis’ personal philosophy. As recently as 2021, Louis referenced the idea of home specifically in relation to writing Common People. I wouldn’t sell Louis short by trying so hard to connect it to Harry Styles.

In general, I feel that Louis’ music and his creative works should be considered as coming from a complete, intact artist who works for himself, with his own ideas, referencing his own life experiences, rather than in relation to anyone else.

Well, why do any two people become closer friends? There are countless reasons and we can't possibly know them all. But from what we do know from their interviews etc it seems clear to me that Harry was far more present and invested in building friendships in London than Louis was. Meanwhile, Louis was invested in his new relationship with Eleanor (and her new friends), and maintaining his friends group from Doncaster.

And this is not specifically directed at you, Anon, but let me go off on a tangential thread about how conspiracy theorising in this fandom skews discussion of things like Louis' and Harry's friendships. Because the Larrie conspiracy theory colours everything.

You have the tinhat hate bloggers saying dumb shit like, "Harry targeted rich and influential people from the very beginning because he is ruthlessly ambitious and only cares about money and fame blah blah blah", and the just plain nasty hate bloggers saying, "Nobody successful wants to be friends with Louis because he's a dull chav who's of no interest or benefit to them blah blah...". And then you have the OG-style Larries saying, "Well actually, Ed and James and Adele ARE friends with both Louis and Harry because they're a couple, they're just very discreet about it because Reasons"

Meanwhile, the truth is probably way more mundane than any of that. And it almost certainly conforms more to the (limited) info that we fans have been privy to.

I would guess that Harry and Louis' friendships were shaped by personality, age, priorities, personal circumstances etc....same as it is for Normals.

Harry's friendships with people like Ed, James, Grimmy, Ben etc all started forming in 2011 when he was 17 and living in London, away from his family and childhood friends (who were still at school! Because they were 17!!) I don't think it's a coincidence that these new friendships really took off when Louis started dating Eleanor in September 2011. But of course all the conspiracy theorists can't accept that Louis was actually besotted by Eleanor, so this is dismissed as a key factor.

Until then, Harry and Louis had a super intense new friendship. They were touring with the X Factor tour, going to Sweden to record their album, they'd moved into their shared flat, they were going to gigs and music festivals and meeting new people together etc.

Louis met Eleanor at exactly the same time as 1D launched. From then on, all the 1D boys were constantly travelling and working. They had hardly any time off at all, and it's clear that Louis prioritised spending as much of that free time as possible with Eleanor. He went to visit her at Manchester Uni or they were hanging out in London.

Harry was single, wasn't an adult yet, and totally unmoored from his old life. All his old friends were living at home with their parents and going to school every day. He spent about 90% of his life, 24/7, with the four other 1D members and their team. When they weren't working, what was Harry going to do - sit on his ass? Zayn and Liam had their best friends living with them. Niall's mum was living with him. Louis had Eleanor and his mates back home who were all at uni or starting work.

Harry was on his own! It's not exactly like he could call one of his mates from Holmes Chapel and say, "Come down to London and we'll go out on the piss!" They were probably doing homework!

Louis' friends were in a totally different stage in their lives. All age 19 or 20, they had the freedom and autonomy that a schoolkid doesn't have. Although their lives were completely different to Louis', they could at least join in on some of the madness. Louis' first years in 1D coincided with his friends' uni years, and I think that really contributed to them maintaining the strong bond which is so important to Louis. Harry's schoolfriends' lives were unimaginably different to his. Like, for H&L's New Year's party in 2011, Louis got a bus-load of mates down from Doncaster. Harry had some childhood friends there too, but think about it - they would would have had to ask their mums for permission to go :)

So it's no surprise that Harry built a friendship group around him in London. Many artists who become successful young do not manage to do this and have spoken about how isolated and alone they were when away from the screaming and the stage. It seems to me that Harry is lucky to have the type of personality that enabled him to build friendships easily. It appears he was extremely proactive in doing so. Ed has said Harry would text him and ask did he want to hang out, Grimmy said the same, Dermot O'Leary did too. It's clear that Harry was invested in those relationships, that he put time and effort into them, and that's how those friendships grow. Louis had other priorities - he was in a brand new relationship with his girlfriend whom he adored. It's the most basic story in the book, but it's one that tinhats don't like to think about.

you don't have to share this if you don't wanna, but it really is a breath of fresh air on here to hear people actually point out what is obvious regarding the whole harry/zayn/1D thing. it is so clear that work on making harry the next timberlake was going on fullswing and zayn made a very smart decision for his career. he must have pissed so many off with that lmao and i am glad!! but also one thing that always confuses me is why louis INSISTS on them having been perfect best friends. the only person in the band he has publicly shown his anger towards is zayn. i have believed in larry for ten years now (although my understanding of it doesn't match most others’), but all throughout mitam promo I was very *side eye* towards louis and harry suddenly being friends laughing around interacting again. i still look at that time with so much skepticism. i would love to hear your thoughts (anything around what i rambled, and only if you like)

cannot believe we r still having these conversations in the year 2023 but i think we will always be having these conversations bc we will never know the complete truth. anyway i do think zayn & louis were genuinely really really good friends. they both have a similar working class background and both seem to take immense pride in it, so naturally that would lend to a strong foundation in a friendship. and idk to Me it isnt that confusing that louis would be angry with zayn. like i dont Approve of the things he's done/said to/about zayn but it i can understand how that would happen. people tend to be more hurt by those that are closest to them and those they value most. whether zayn left for his mental health or because of industry politics or both, it's understandable that louis might be more angry with zayn than if it were liam or niall—because he was always closer with zayn.

but anyway!! mitam erea is sooo fascinating to me esp as a larrie bc genuinely why were harry & louis all of a sudden besties in a way we hadn't seen in years? there was that theory abt them being promised a coming out and that was plausible at the time and even a Little bit in hindsight but maybe not. or it could be bc they were trying to divert attention fom zayn's departure and they had to do something to keep the fans happy & afloat, a very large chunk of whom at the time consisted of larries. who knows man. we will never find out what actually happened and none of it will really make a lot of sense. soooo much drama and over a boyband!

tldr i think louis' anger was borne of love bc zayn was his closest friend in the band and he didnt rlly know how to handle the departure

Trish Stratus, Lita, and Becky Lynch VS Damage CTRL- I can't imagine that Trish and Lita are going to be around long enough to defend championships. They're part-timers. Because I know it's gonna happen, I haven't gotten emotionally involved.

Performative activism. He'll stick his name on any cause that's popular at the minute. Its all marketing for him. He's happy to tell Americans who to vote for and what to do with their guns and abortion laws but he can't even vote in that country. The UK has its own problems, his country and somewhere he can actually vote and be part of the change, but he doesn't say a word cause those problems dont get as much global attention. I wouldn't be surprised if the politically righteous king actually doesn't even vote in the coming election.

Also im sorry to bring up 1d but its something that makes the other guys really stand out. They actually are passionate about causes they can make an actual difference to and make their own part of the world a better place. Liam was really involved in the school lunch campaign so children could eat during the lockdown, niall was vocal about saving derby county because it meant so much to his community growing up and the jobs at stake, he's also been active with other causes, Louis is passionate about UK musicians access to the European labour market and also regularly takes part in cancer awareness and fundraising. Both Louis and Niall made it to the Times top 10 list for raising 2 million pounds from their respective livestreams and the entire proceeds went to UK covid relief and touring groups that were affected, zayn focuses on helping the NHS (UK healthcare system), cancer relief, combating racism and other causes. What is harry's cause?? Putting signs at his concert saying "my body my choice" while singing about her skirt is too short for his mother?? Waving flags at his concerts? Walking along with a blm protest? An anti gun violence campaign (its done deaf because he's not affected or passionate about it, just selling his music)??? Telling people who to vote for in a place where he can just pack up and leave when things go to shit??? Asking fans to buy expensive merch so the "profit" goes to the WHO where people can instead donate directly?? Be serious now. And before anyone misunderstands, im not saying he shouldn't do something in the US,im saying he doesn't have passion for any of it because he's just waving around stuff because he thinks thats what he should do, not because he's affected by something or he truly believes in something. He has himself said he hasn't found a "cause" yet and that, that truly infuriates me... millions of dollars, a global platform and there'snot one small thing he truly wants to change? In contrast, the others have taken a position for something THEY believed in, where they knew they would help a situation, pissed people off with their position and put their own money into it, not the fans'. So on the other hand his performative activism feels like a rainbow you can slide on.. an illusion.

No but Does He Know would not have been appropriate i feel like 🤣😭 so many of their songs are pure filth which went sooo over my head. I distinctly remember trying to defend them to my uncle (who is a professional hater lmao. He loves to piss people off by slagging off things they enjoy). Like, i was delusional, but also 12 🤣

Story of My Life is such a good song but the music video is too emo. The bit with Louis' grandparents makes me sob. So then everytime i hear the song, those emotions immediately come up with it too. I have a similar, yet opposite, reaction for Night Changes. Also emotions attached to music video which then tie in to my experience of the song. Problem is that i fucking despise the mv. Its so cringy and so uncalled for (zayn, louis and niall did not deserve any shit from their dates.) And just the whole concept- until very recently i still had a physical cringe reaction from just hearing the intro.
