OK SO THIS IS A HC THAT I FULLY SUPPORT. besides it being genetically impossible for him to have brown eyes, it would explain why he is so people-pleasing, so repressed, so desperate for approval. I’d like to think it was a learned trait from his youth. not only is he an only child, but that coupled with him possibly being adopted? it would only increase his need to not be a disappointment to his parents, to chase that white picket fence life that he was taught to want. because he felt he owed it to them to be a golden child. plus, it would support why he’s an only child while he supposedly has a bunch of cousins that are more like siblings. I can imagine it was customary for Brewers to at least have a few kids and that’s why he mentions in The Premiere how he thought that’s what he’d have at that point. no doubt another learned tradition from his youth.
