It’s 10PM and I’m high and I have THOUGHTS. Blur’s live performance of “Beetlebum” at Reading in 1999 is SO GOOD! Damon’s vocals are peak and Graham’s outro literally made me yell “WHAT IS HE DOING?!” at my laptop screen. How does he get his guitar to sound like a fucking chainsaw?! The last thirty seconds of his outro fuck me right up. He’s making his guitar scream and wail and he’s just standing there, hunched over the guitar like it’s no big deal. Um excuse me, sir?! How dare you?! 🤯😭🎸♥️

Not swtor related but just a quick vent post since I need to get this out. Moved to the southern us and discovered palmetto bugs ( aka american cockroaches ) are just kind of the norm down here, especially this time of year. Just saw my first one today outside my apartment and I about died. They're big, fast, and they fly. Not sure how I'm going to handle this.

Hey, so I saw you just did a crapton of asks so if you wait a while to answer this I completely understand.
The ask you answered about L. Eclipse flat out ignoring a... very forward suitor (COUgh cough me too buddy Cough cough) made me curious how our favorite boy acts when interacting with his subjects.
mans made a whole universe full of people, likely for reasons outside of just torturing sun and the others, so surely he atleast planned on socializing (or just.. didn't think ahead?)
Does he interact with them positively? Does he interact at all?
Also, completely unrelated, you posts about computer guts has got me thinking about what his internals must look like melded with his centipede stuff, and now i'm having blorbo thoughts about it.
Thank you for always letting me brainrot here, you always are an amazing host for my Thoughts.
AAAAHAIAHJQHSJWD THIS IS SOMETHING I'VE BOTH THOUGHT SO MUCH ABOUT BUT ALSO HAVE VERY LOOSE DETAILS ABOUT TBH LMAOOO
I have two main scenarios though!!! The first is that during the start, he was a very active apart of his "community" and would drink up as much of the attention as humanly possible! Over time, though, the boredom starts to kick in and he spends less and less time around his other followers, eventually only allowing Sunvant to see him.
The second scenario, though, is that he's able to find a balance between keeping up a good image to his followers—not in centipede form, mind you—but the moment the doors are closed and it's only Sun who will witness his wrath, it's time to boogie!!! 🐛🐛🐛
So generally, yes, he treats most of his followers decently because that will ensure they will stay loyal and they will also shower him in praise! The level of interaction just depends on how silly I wanna get LOL
There are still dissenters, though! Which is only natural, Lord Eclipse can't gain everyone's love via fear. Mysteriously, though, the more vocal ones always seem to go missing... I wonder what's up with that?

Wait, wait, wait...Ichigo a translator? I always thought he was like a civil guide in the clinic who helps to understand medical stuff?
Like a medical interpreter? Whoa, that's very specific, anon! And a very cool job! I think Ichigo does more literary translation, though.
Ichigo talks about his job in this panel from the Hell Chapter:
He describes himself as 翻訳家 (honyaku-ka), or "translator." There's more than one way to write "translator," another being 翻訳者 (honyaku-sha). The two differ only in their final character-- -家 (-ka) vs. -者 (-sha), both of which designate the subject as being a practitioner of something.
The suffix -家 (ka) connotes the idea that whatever it is you're doing has a subjective art to it. (You can be a manga-ka, for example; or a shousetsu-ka, a novelist.)
For translators specifically, you might be 翻訳者 (honyaku-sha) if you're translating business documents or manuals, which embody a more "objective" and technical type of writing; and 翻訳家 (honyaku-ka) if you're working with novels, subtitles, or things where the translation you are after may be less literal, as you work to translate the work not only into the idiomatic target language, but are also thinking about character, theme, etc.
So it sounds like Ichigo's doing himself some ~artiste~ type translation!
