since people are asking for them, here are my unpopular marauders opinions
(note, and i mean this in the most serious way: please, for the love of god, if you don't agree, just scroll. there is no reason to cause drama over some unpopular opinions of some random tumblr user just because you don't agree with me.)
remus is my least favorite character. don't get me wrong, i love him to bits, he's just the least intriguing to me. he's the character we've been given most of; not only that, i find sirius and james' character, as well as peter's (and his betrayal), as far more interesting
i don't really like jegulus for the same reason as remus; the dynamic is interesting, there is a lot to work with there, including the death eater and order member dynamic, but i just find some ships as more interesting
most of the characters are written as super one-dimensional and therefore i do not like most fandom characterizations which is a crucial point, to me, in whether i read the fic. i like fics in which the characters are written as real people, with human emotions and flaws, and not some qualities thrown together
some wolfstar shippers are pretty much the most annoying people in fandom (coming from a wolfstar shipper). shipping the only consistent ship in this fandom does not make you inherently better than everyone else, and just because someone else splits wolfstar for other ships dynamics does not mean anything
the black sisters and the evans sisters, if written well, can be more interesting than the black brothers and i don't think we talk enough about them (i also find the black brothers are really interesting, and i need more fics in which the intensity of these dynamics are explored)
i dislike the main characterization of regulus in fandom, being a huge fan of morally grey regulus. however, each with their own characterization, and i'm no one to judge next. i find him to be a very interesting character, however, and i like fics that dive deeper into his character
people who ship jegulus and hate lily for no reason need to chill; furthermore, people who hate mary and lily for "getting in the way" of their mlm ships are... i'm not going to comment on this, but you probably know what i mean
"stan bambi" comments on snape videos are really annoying because the very same way we don't like (and sometimes get aggressive) over snape lovers attacking the characters we like, why are we doing that to other people?
i need more peter-centered fics, and i do not like him only being a sidekick or ignored. also, mary is also a very interesting character, and i don't think we credit her enough for it
dorlene > wolfstar
the girls are far more interesting than people make them out to be and i NEED an atyd-like fic (long canon compliant etc) from their povs. it's not a want, it's a need, and i might just write it myself, because i think that a fic like that has a lot of potential
dorcas is morally grey and i need more fics in which that is a thing
this might be my most unpopular opinion but i prefer lily to regulus; i find them both to be very interesting characters, but i find myself more drawn to lily
pretty privilege is REAL in this fandom. bet that if peter and snape were conventionally attractive, they would be as loved as evan, barty, and regulus
i do not see sirius as transfem but why do people have to be so pressed about this hc. lif you don't see it, shut up, move on with your day, and let people who see it do their thing; this fandom is TOO pressed about other people's hcs
i kind of dislike fanon james because they strip him of all humanity and emotions, and make him a ray of walking sunshine with no issues (hence my essay on it, which you can read here)
james would choose sirius over regulus any day

guys I need more people to ramble about and hyperfixate with over my atsv beauty and the beast au and my atsv enchanted au bc ITS TAKING ME OVERRRR
Tumblr media
like beauty and the beast au but Jeff doesn’t get cursed by an enchantress because he’s an asshole (being honest he would not be that much of a dick) but AARON WANTS REVENGE AGAINST JEFF FOR CUTTING TIES WITH HIM AND USES HIS PROWLER ESQUE POWERS TO TURN HIM INTO A BEAST AND CURSE THE REST OF THE CASTLE. Or wait even better WHAT IF ITS A TASK ASSIGNED TO HIM BY KINGPIN AND HE RELUCTANTLY STILL DOES IT HOLY SHIT
and then there’s Rio being Belle and MIGUEL BEING GASTON HOLY SHIT HE’D BE SUCH A JERK and imagine like idk fucking Peter b as LeFou LMAO.
also omg imagine the rest of the spider society being the utensils or some shit OMGGGG like Jess being ms potts SKFHSKDHSKDHD
and also the scene where the beast transforms back into a human and belle has to take a second before she really recognizes him when looking at his eyes and they kiss but with Rio and Jeff 🥺🥺🥺 I can’t it’s so cute skfhskdhskdhd
Tumblr media
also I feel like as a beast Jeff would kinda be more like a bear mixed with a wolf or something but it’s mostly bear qualities lolol
ok ok NOW ONTO ENCHANTED IM NOT FINISHED
Tumblr media
IF YA’LL HAVE SEEN ENCHANTED YOU KNOW HOW THIS IS GONNA GO
So Rio is Giselle, and Jeff is Robert. That’s extremely expected. But here’s the interesting thing: GABRIEL (like Miguel’s younger brother) AS PRINCE EDWARD AND-
CONCHATA AS NARISSA
Tumblr media
THE FUCKING POTENTIAL THIS HAS Y’ALL CANT FATHOM IT AKFHSKDHSKDHSJD
also like imagine that scene like after the “so close” scene (the most romantic scene in any movie ever btw) where Narissa shows up as a disguised old woman again and pursuades Giselle to eat the apple but with the characters we have in this au. Like thinking of Rio being extremely devastated that she can’t see Jeff ever again and that she actually wants to be a real woman in the real world. Her old fairytale life doesn’t feel right anymore, and she loves Jeff and she loves New York. And then Conchata comes here being like “you could forget everything that’s happened here, like it never happened” and manipulates her with the idea of being miserable while having to be with someone she doesn’t love forever. AND THEN THE SCENE WHERE ROBERT KISSES AND WAKES UP GISELLE AFTER EDWARD’S KISS DOESN’T WORK BUT WITH RIO AND JEFF OMGG!!!!
also Rio saving her man from dragon!conchata omg THIS IS MELTING MY BRAIN IN A GOOD WAY SKDHSJFHDJ
@t1r4misuu @deritosmi @ace-and-sleepdeprived @darksidescorner @fancylala4 @hoe-bie @kaidan-z @l0starl @punkeropercyjackson @the-cat-and-the-birdie @urmadiik @ohara-n-brown @tatumis-a

The reasons I get irritated by Peter and Jennifer using Derek's trauma against him are twofold.
Peter's tales are taken as absolute truth by people, and there's this reoccurring thought that Derek ask for Paige to be bitten. Peter attempts to use Derek's trauma (that Peter himself caused!) as a way to cause Cora and Stiles to lose faith in Derek.
Jennifer throws what she really looks like in Derek's face, accusing him of potentially being shallow after she RAPED HIM. She wielded his trauma like a weapon against him in order to manipulate him, and then tried to insinuate that he was in the wrong for not wanting to fuck a cenobite.
It's very interesting that the nogitsune is aware of how Derek feels for Stiles and vice versa, and comes to the same conclusion as Jennifer: Derek is a useful protector. However, the nogitsune is smart enough not to try to seduce Derek. He just pretends to be Stiles, knowing that being in possession of Stiles' mind and body is enough to effectively leash Derek.
the more i watch visionary the more i've decided that it's not so much the episode itself i had so much beef with but more fandom's reaction to it. the episode makes it pretty clear that the whole narrative conceit is that peter and gerard are manipulators and liars. they are not telling the full truth.
scott and allison are openly scornful of gerard and scott threatens him at the end. stiles explicitly tells cora that peter's told them a story.
yet fandom continues to cite peter's rendition of what happened with paige as gospel. like, yes, peter can tell the truth and does so frequently but he does so in a manner than benefits him. you often have to peel back the layers to see what peter's intentions are when he offers his help. there's usually a price of some kind. peter is a lot of things and not a single one of them is altruistic.
someone once argued with me saying peter wasn't angling for derek to give up his alpha power. i'm sorry the same dude who melodramatically was screaming about always being the alpha at the close of the season? that guy?
tell me this is not the face of a man who knows he's got his quarry on the hook. peter's always manipulating derek to some extent. it's his main hobby.
Tumblr media
peter had an intention in telling the paige story to stiles but also in how he told it and the content of the story. he told it to stiles knowing that stiles feels a certain kind of way about derek. he tees up the story by comparing young derek to stiles's bff scott. he minimizes his presence and manipulations in what happened to paige and than closes with saying that blue eyes are an indication of killing an innocent.
he wanted to manipulate stiles's perception of derek. cora was just a bonus.
jennifer has an interesting view of derek. she definitely sees him as her savior due to him sacrificing paige which gave the nemeton enough power to sustain her life when kali almost killed her but he is also a tool. it's all conditional and all about how it benefits her the same as peter.
jennifer uses the memory of paige and derek's affection for stiles as a weapon against him. she perverts his love for them. kate did something similar in preying upon derek's grief for paige to sink her claws into him.
she uses her own victimhood to minimize her own victimization of him. she crocodile tears at him weaponizing what happened to her to manipulate him. she drops that façade quickly when it wasn't working as planned.
the thing that got him to not kill her once it was revealed who she really was? the location of stiles's father and her holding cora's life above his head.
both peter and jennifer are master manipulators and co-opt derek's traumas for their own nefarious purposes.
is it a wonder why derek guards his heart so closely? why he doesn't think he's good for people? with people like this constantly using him for their ends and manipulating him with his own heart?
the nogitsune is interesting because it doesn't even really bother with derek all that much. it wants him out of the way more than anything to the point of giving derek little distractions and than uses him as a protector when necessary.
the nogitsune was there in the cellar when derek mercy killed paige so i do wonder if it was aware while it was trapped in that jar.
it's possible that it could gain more glee from knowing how easily it leashed derek by simply possessing stiles and being aware of the distress it would cause stiles to force derek into a position of having to mercy kill another person he cared about. i would bet it had this as a contingency or a possible play if necessary.
the nogitsune fed off chaos, strife and pain. it clearly didn't have to be physical. it likes it's psychological warfare and it was playing with scott, lydia, allison and kira for all they were worth.
derek hale was probably reserved for dessert tbh. all that pain and trauma probably looked like an after dinner mint to it.

Can you do yandere Peter Parker with a reader that is Mj sister and he starts to get obsessed with her?
Do you only write headcanons or oneshots too?
Tumblr media
Hi Anon, thanks for the request! I write headcanons for the most part. The only time I don't is for my Yandere! Peter Parker series Sick and for my writing events. When it comes to non-event requests, I prefer to write headcanons.
Warnings: Yandere themes, mentions of stalking, stealing, and implications of murder
Tumblr media
When Peter first started to like you, even with just the hints of affection that went beyond friendship, he was a bit scared.
MJ is a naturally intimidating person. She's blunt, sarcastic, and when she has an issue with something, she has no problem calling it out.
That combined with her protectiveness over you, Peter has no doubt that she'd shut him down the moment he displayed any romantic interest in you.
Because when it comes to MJ and her sibling, it's that MJ can be quite picky about those who think they have a chance with you. You're her sibling, so of course she's going to make sure the person who's after you isn't an absolute dunderhead.
But Peter has a hard time not falling for you. The more time he spends with you, the faster and harder he obsesses over you.
And we all know that Peter isn't all that good at hiding what he feels. When around you, he gets all blushy and lovestruck. If questioned about how he acts around you, he also tends to stutter and avoid eye contact.
MJ's not stupid. She'll see that quickly and be rather blunt about confronting him if she finds out anything that's illegal or even weird.
Because let's be real, no decent sister would put up with someone stalking or stealing their sibling's stuff.
While I think Peter could sweet talk and act his way through a lot of people, I think MJ is one person who'd see through it and absolutely not put up with half the stuff Peter does.
While he'd never let her or anyone else know about the more vicious and unsavory things he's done to keep you "safe", MJ would pick up his obsessiveness and not let it slide.
Once Peter realizes that MJ might be catching onto his more. . . unsavory tendencies (stalking, stealing some of your stuff, and god forbid the stuff he's done to scare off people he thought were bad for you), he'll panic, but it's not like he can scare off or even hurt MJ in the way he usually does with people who get in his way.
Peter prioritizes your happiness and well-being. He's lucid enough to realize that removing MJ from your life isn't really an option.
Considering she's your sister, MJ likely won't leave you alone willingly, and any threats to scare her will only make it back to you. However, taking the more drastic option would leave you grief-stricken and miserable, even more so than if it were a friend or potential romantic partner.
So he'd likely just go for covering up what he's done as much as he can once he knows MJ is catching on. Hiding the stuff he's stolen from you better, making sure nobody can see him while stalking you (and likely starting to use cameras and trackers instead), and being on his best behavior while around MJ.
All to avoid losing you and having to resort to staging an accident.
Because Peter truly values MJ as a friend and would love to one day call her his sister-in-law. But he still values having you see him in the best light possible.
And if MJ starts to taint that, Peter will do as much as he possibly can to stop that before it's too late.

What do you think was the immediate aftermath to the “Prank”? I actually do think Sirius was remorseful for what he did at the time(I think his attitude in PoA could be explained by how he was in Azkaban all those years, had to survive on very little, and was just not in a good place to process his past properly at the time. And he does acknowledge that he acted poorly during SWM, so I feel like with time he would realize that he could’ve handled those situations better- even if Snape could be a dick lol. At a certain point someone has to take the high road XD), but I think it still would have taken a while for Remus to forgive him or for the group to go back to the way it was. But if I’m being honest, I feel like the group never really went back to the way it was when we consider how both Remus and Sirius thought the other was a spy :/. I also think that James would have been put in a hard spot, because he’s incredibly loyal to his friends, and Sirius is(let’s face it lol) his favorite, but this “prank” could have gone very wrong in so many different ways and I feel that James may have been able to recognize more than Sirius at first.
(I also don’t understand why JKR would place SWM after “The Prank” because why on earth would James and Sirius continue to antagonize Snape to that extent when he now knows one of their best friend’s deepest and darkest secret(and there couldn’t have been anything magical keeping Snape from saying anything, seeing as he gives away the secret in Book 3)? But I digress lol(although I will say that one minor change I make for myself is imagining the Prank as happening after SWM since that makes more sense to me)
I have so many thoughts on “The Prank” mainly because while I love Sirius(and I do think his good qualities outweigh his bad ones), this situation showcases one of his biggest flaws(he can be reckless to the point where other people can/are at the risk of getting seriously hurt or worse) and I just find it really interesting to explore that and how it would have affected the Marauders and their dynamic at the time
Oooh boy do I have THOUGHTS about the Prank and SWM. I'm actually very okay with SWM happening after the Prank. It shows that James and Sirius took a LONG time to grow and were still dicks late into their fifth year. But let's get to the fun!
Immediate aftermath of the Prank:
I wholeheartedly agree that the group was never the same after the Prank. I think the Marauders were always on thin ice or precarious ground, and it was only because of James that they were all together. Sirius and James were like magnets for each other. James picked up the underdog, Remus, and Remus brought in the super underdog, Peter. That's not to say that Sirius didn't care for Remus and Peter, but everything in canon suggests that Sirius was a Prongs fangirl, not a Moony or Wormtail fangirl.
But let's get to the Prank. Snape thought something was up with Lupin. I believe Sirius thought one of two things: 1) fuck around and find out, and 2) he's not actually stupid enough to go whomping willow/werewolf hunting. There is definitely some blame on Severus for following through, but it's more on Sirius for underestimating Severus and potentially ruining Remus's life. Because it was James who pulled Severus back, Sirius probably felt more remorse than had it been someone else.
I believe that after the Prank, Remus's trust in Sirius was irrevocably changed. I think that Remus implicitly trusted Sirius before, but after the Prank, the nature of the friendship changed. I imagine that Remus didn't change much outwardly. He's a coward at heart and didn't want to rock the boat. But the thing is, Sirius isn't stupid. He almost certainly noticed a change in Remus's behavior. Remus probably went more passive-aggressive, and that laid the foundation for Sirius believing Remus to be the spy later, because of his behavior change. For Remus, it's the same thing, because of Sirius's capacity to use him for a cruel prank.
I do think that they were friends and remained friendly. James was the foundation for their friendship, and as long as James was alive and friendly with both, they would remain friends. However, with more people dying, Remus off with werewolves and Sirius doing who-knows-what, it would make sense for Sirius to think that Remus was a spy and vice versa. When Halloween '81 happened and the Potters were killed, Remus was probably shocked but not surprised. Sirius was capable of darkness.
And THIS is why I'm very okay with the Prank happening before SWM. Imagine Remus thinking the same thing during SWM - 'guys, please stop antagonizing him' - and James and Sirius continue antagonizing Severus for fun, because they're bored. This is abundant proof that Sirius still had a lot of growing up to do, as did James. Imagine Remus after the Potters die, thinking how Sirius could do this?, but then being reminded of SWM, where Sirius continued to play with his food, so to speak. Imagine Remus thinking it impossible for Sirius to turn his back on his friends, but after Peter is 'killed', and Remus was almost exposed in the Prank, that means the only person left for Sirius to betray was James. With that track record, Remus could've very well thought Sirius was the traitor.
I love Sirius as well. My man, like Remus, has layers. Their friendship in later years - post-Azkaban - was cobbled together by shared memories of James and years of trauma/betrayal by one another and Peter. At this point I imagine a friendship of convenience - they're friends because few people understand the trauma they went through, but they're never going to be BFFs the way that James and Sirius were. If Sirius is fire, James is the sunshine that fuels him, while Remus is a moldy wet log of a human being.
As always @puppyduckster you've given me tremendous food for thought and provided excellent insight on the characters we so love.

i'm only at the beginning of li tongguang's descent into obsession (eps 17-18), but already it's both hurting and hitting. hurting, because we know li tongguang's capabilities, and his level headedness, and the potential he has, that he seems to throw out due to this obsession. hitting, because when you think about it, the obsession storyline and characterization does make perfect sense. obsession like that is a double edged blade, which can turn from love to hate, childish belief and joy to embittered rage in a second.
on one hand, it's painful to watch ltg's childlike desperation when faced with ruyi again. we want to grit our teeth and think of him as idiotic, unable to take a hint. but the reality is that it's a completely normal response to be expected from him. i mean, it's a dream come true, to see the person you 'love' the most in the world to be whole in front of you. it's probably what he could only dream about, especially being the one to apparently find her bones and bury them.
on a deeper level, ltg's initial reaction is very much a manifestation of his inner child, almost peter pan-like in the 'child that never became an adult/grew up' way. by that i mean to say the desperate urge to please, the constant worrying, and the oscillation between hot and cold moods are all so indicative of someone who grew up in an insecure/unstable environment, usually with volatile or simply unavailable authority figures. from what we can gather, he had no father, his mother wasn't in his life ("she doesn't want him around, nor can she bear for him to be away, so that's why he's like that" per empress zhaojie's words to ruyi). the one authority figure that entered his life to offer some semblance of guidance was ruyi, and even though it's clear that she held care for him, she was also a twenty year old assassin used to training subordinates, not children. her mentorship style is clearly so different when you hold ltg and yang ying side by side, and we know from ruyi's own mouth that she doesn't consider herself to have taught ltg well, and wants to remedy that through/with yang ying (i'll probably make a whole different post comparing this and the affects of this after watching some more episodes lol - there are bullet points in the drafts). so even though ruyi was his authority figure, she was still an emotionally unavailable one who couldn't meet ltg on the level he probably needed at that time in his life, and which no one probably ever did. hence his up and down reaction and actions.
it intrigues me, too, because i think, in a very subtle way, ltg is very much a character foil to ruyi in that he reflects some of her worst attributes, or more accurately represents the sort of person she was, or at least acted like (yuan lu's comment about how ltg has ruyi's gaze was meaningful outside of the jealousy arc - to me at least). i saw someone make a really interesting comment on how ltg's devotion to ruyi parallels ruyi's own devotion to empress zhaojie, which i'll also probably comment on more later.
obviously, ltg's obsession stems from an issue much larger than ruyi herself - she just happens to be the unfortunate target of it. and, clearly, i know his descent into it will be ugly, if understandable. i understand ruyi wanting to leave that part of her life behind, but also - to think that maybe many of the issues faced in future eps could have been avoidable if she'd been upfront with li tongguang about her identity early on.
#star stumbles#a journey to love#一念关山#cdrama#my thoughts#li tongguang#eps 17-18#sorry if i jumped from one point to another this is just a stream of consciousness#and by that last sentence what i mean is that if ruyi had acknowledged him#and then told him something like 'i'm on a mission right now so don't do this or that' etc#even without explaining her situation. i think he would have been much more toned down#of course there is a chance it would have fed his delusions but really anything she did would do that#but not acknowledging him is worse in so many regards#especially when he has a whole thing (elephant in the room sized issue) about abandonment and acknowledgement#his future irrational behaviors are a child demanding to be seen/heard#which is like. embarassing! because we know his potential we saw it but now he's just reduced to this#but i think it's true to the sort of character and story he has. which is the sad part.#ok...i had one more thought but i've forgotten it twice now so uhhh#onto ep 19 in a bit. i will be cringing through it#yeah but i just can't get over his personal reaction right after leaving in ep 17#because that is EXACTLY how children with emotionally abusive/manipulative parental figures act#the anxiety about pleasing them the dread you messed it up the desperate urge to fix it....#it's really sticking with me#honestly some have argued that ruyi was abusive and i don't combat that but it's out of pocket#for the time period/context lol. also not really the point if that makes sense

thinking about a npmd characters yellowjackets au and oh boy it's fun
okay so the premise is, the hatchetfield high school nighthawk football team is going to nationals. i'm pretty sure that doesn't exist for american high school football but we're suspending disbelief.
solomon lauter is trying to build up goodwill with the community for this election cycle, so not only does he charter a private plane for the football team, he makes his daughter go with. HE doesn't have time to go to seattle and it's not like most people will see him there anyway, but if he puts his daughter on the plane with them and says oh look my daughter is so kind and supportive! she's taking time away from HER own schoolwork and HER own life to support our fighting nighthawks! what a kind and involved citizen she is!
and then of course he pressures her teachers to just. let her off the hook for activities in classes that week. because she's such a kiiinnnddd person who's supporting the football team.
richie, of course, is essential for an excursion such as this. he's zeke the fighting nighthawk! he's on that plane. ruth has some overlap with misty quigley that i find interesting, so we're making her the equipment manager. this is half to get her on the plane and half because i think she'd use that as an excuse to be a pervert. like oooohhh i'm so sorry! i didn't think there would be boys CHANGING in here right now! myyyy mistake.
max and the football team and brenda and the cheer squad are all there. now however do we get our dearest spankoffski on that plane? (ruth says that she needs help with equipment management duties and pete's already the salutorian of the class... so she's able to sell him just missing this second to last week of school alright to the teachers. he doesn't really WANT to, but steph, who he's been bonding with since she got him to help her cheat and then actually helped her study... asks him to. because she says she's going to be bored out of her mind without someone to hang out with... and he's only HUMAN, okay?)
now how do we get grace temperance chastity on a plane full of horny teenagers for an activity that she doesn't do? why making her the president of the FCA (fellowship of christian athletes) of course! she is the self-assigned chaperone of such an important and potentially very horny and drug-ridden activity in such a den of sin (seattle). SHE is the only thing standing between the students of hatchetfield high and total anarchy. as valedictorian (peter, if you just applied yourself and maybe went to chuuurrrcchhh you might have beaten me! grace will you just shut up-) she is not worried about her grades in this penultimate week of school. oh BOY was she wrong.
they of course crash in the canadian rockies. the coaches die, and we're left with absolute fucking anarchy. everyone save our favorite quintet listen to max for awhile as he dictates the ways that heeee, max jagerman, think things should be run. it's bad! it doesn't work! they're gonna fucking die!!!!!!!
jagerman is more worried about how to keep his power and where steph keeps disappearing to than figuring out how to stay alive in case of... not getting rescued.
ruth has GAD and is just freaking the fuck out in the corner, richie is doing the same, and pete is trying to figure out. how the fuck to survive in case of no rescue coming. steph's on team I Think We Should Prepare, Jesus Christ! and grace enjoys survival situations so she's over here. she also thinks that the act of god might be that they're stuck out here and have to build a new jerusalem (tehehe)
the combined powers of steph's charisma and kindness, pete's problem-solving, and grace's intensity and sureness in herself, they convince the rest of the group that they found a safer spot... a lake, where they might find water and food and not die here by the plane while waiting for a rescue that might not come.
the rest of the group listens, showing the first crack in max jagerman's power, and he has a very ugly blowup but eventually follows.
he IS going to die out there. he IS going to be the first to die out there. and they are going to eat him :) but it's also max jagerman who's in the narrative role of jackie. so he's gonna haunt this fucking narrative! OHHHHH YEAAAAAAHHHHHHH
other tidbits: max deciding to for real pursue grace is mainly about trying to break her power base because he's pissed she's the one everyone's listening to now, but he also... does think that's hot. :3
grace IS going full girl-prophet. lottie tempered her girl-prophet ways in season 2 because she realized that things were going wrong... grace thinks she's god's anointed so she is not going to do that. not at all.
stephanie HAS got a gun. a hunting she will go. a hunting she will take pete. (we're out here starving in the woods and you think that pete and i shouldn't... sleep together? with fucking CONDOMS!?!?! what is your prOBLEM? he's a loser and you're COOL! we're not in fucking high school, max! grow! up!) they're getting some of that Narrative Conflict With The Superstitions that defines natalie's character.
ruth WOULD find the porno mags she WOULD show everyone and when grace tries to confiscate them for Jesus Reasons ruth would find one to squirrel away just for herself. i am also assigning ruth butcher because i think she could handle the guts, and also.. i'm sorry the idea of ruth throwing girls' nights with jagerman's corpse in the freezing cold meat shed just works in my brain.
i'm gonna give richie van's How Do We Make Sense of All These Times I Almost Died and this ABSOLUTE Bullshit!??!! plot line, along with assigning him group morale and Person Who Tells the Stories.
when it gets to the card pull grace WILL be rigging it to get rid of "dirty dudes". jason gets got first. and grace keeps giving lautski and ruth cryptic warnings about cleaning up their sexual act or else and they're just like hahaha i'm in danger...
somehow grace thinks that this is all compatible with her christianity! i love her <3

Tell us more about Gene x Peter. Gush to your heart's desire!
Well if you insist… here’s my ~*~Genecadero~*~ essay!
There’s this old article on the internet somewhere about romance writing that I’m trying to find that talks about the key to a good romantic pairing being love interests who appear on the surface as being very different but are very similar at their core. They talked about Buffy and Spike I think, but I think more Wei Wuxian and Lan Wangji (essentially rule boy x class clown). Rudy and Louise work really well on this level. Louise is being the spunky kid in detention and Rudy more of a soft spoken rule-following hall monitor. But at their heart they really care about their friends and families and doing what’s right.
This got me thinking about who could be a love interest for Gene, the loud, attention-seeking, middle-child who’s actually really gentle, sensitive, and insecure at his core. And, well, Peter Pescadero does seem really different from Gene on the surface. Him being soft spoken but sassy is the opposite of Gene being loud but sweet. They’ve got that cat and dog energy. Yet they are also very similar. They both love unconventional music. Neither of them seem interested in traditionally masculine things like sports and have a lot of girls for friends. Peter has repeatedly gone out of his way to help Gene with things. Most recently letting him borrow an expensive piece of musical equipment in “Amelia" that belonged to his older brother. (Gene who always has sticky hands and is forgetful, it just seems like alot to trust someone with)
My personal head canon just based on vibes and queer wish fulfillment is that Peter has a crush on Gene that Gene is completely oblivious to. He keeps joining all these projects with Gene to be around him and trying to drop awkward hints but Gene either consciously or unconsciously doesn’t notice. Unconsciously because he states himself that he’s not good at picking up on vibes or consciously because he really shies away from anything that would be too much like growing up and especially with Tina as his older sister he might equate any kind of romantic relationship with teenagers.
I think if Gene ever did let himself think about it he would get hit hard. Gene is someone who is extremely affectionate and enjoys being around people. Eventually I think he’s going to find someone to redirect all of the devotion he has towards Linda and just be a total simp towards whoever he ends up with.
Also more pragmatically, stories are conflict driven and Gene is conflict avoidant. Peter has the potential to be unhinged enough to drive conflict in any writing about them. And then Gene’s extreme affection for the people close to him will drive him into the conflict as well.

Guys guys guys Juno steel final season starts soon and I have THOUGHTS…so many…
Ok firstly, I hope that they bring back up the fact that Juno has some alien blood junk going on with him. like so far it’s been mostly dismissed (to my knowledge) and I’m thinking maybe this season they will finally do something with that part of Juno‘s story when he was still on Mars.
Next, PETER!!! MF!!! NUREYEV!!??! Baby girl where did u go?? I was really happy about seeing more of Peter’s backstory through the journal he left behind. I think it’s an interesting way to narratively explain how Peter came to act the way he does and also this could be a nice lead in to where he would potentially be. (Ngl I don’t remember if we know where he’s at rn?? I’m guessing we don’t know)
Lastly, though it is sad to see the crime family go their separate ways I think it would be interesting to have a offshoot series, potentially after Juno’s story is wrapped up, where we see different parts of the crime families’ life post break up.
Basically, I’m just so excited about a new episode dropping because I have been STARVED of Juno steel content for TOO LONG!!!

Why it's the right time for a third season of The Spectacular Spider-Man
Tumblr media
While Spider-Man 2 and Spider-Man: The Animated Series were my introduction to the character of Spidey, Spectacular Spider-Man was how I truly fell in love with the character.
I was obsessed with the show as a child. I had nearly every action figure, I'd rewatch episodes (shoutout "Group Therapy", it's my favorite), and even tried to make the theme song my ringtone.
Tumblr media
As I went on in my years and consumed so much Spider-Man content, I always found myself comparing it to Spectacular Spider-Man.
Did the voice match as well as Keaton's, was the style of the character simple yet unique to what we've seen before, how are the quips?
I did this so much, that earlier this year I wondered if I was just wearing nostalgia glasses. That maybe I was misremembering as one does. So, I rewatched the entire show with my partner...
...and I was NOT.
Tumblr media
It is concise, it is beautiful, and every episode at the very least is fun. There is no villain that doesn't get their due, there is no arc that isn't important, and there is not a moment where Josh Keaton is embodying the best voice for Peter Parker or Spider-Man.
As you might've been able to tell by my Young Justice article, I am a huge fan of the storytelling ability of Greg Weismann. But I think it is really put on display in this show. Every beat feels important, most characters have solid arcs, and suspense and danger always feel real and earned.
Tumblr media
With my rewatch, Spectacular Spider-Man's recent inclusion in Across the Spider-Verse, and the fanbase continuing to rage on, I thought I'd put my two cents in as to why it's time this show is brought back.
Clearly I'm biased but I don't care.
1. New Villains
Tumblr media
Spectacular Spider-Man had a great way of bringing in classic villains and even B-list villains and making them iconic.
My favorite example of this was The Shocker, who in this version was also Montana, leader of the Enforcers.
By doing this, they made one of Spider-Man silliest enemies into a character who feels like the most qualified killer in every room he's in.
Because such time has passed since season 2, new and different Spider-Man villains have entered the zeitgeist. The Prowler, The Spot, and Mr Negative are great examples of villains who weren't well known when the show was originally going on.
Tumblr media
There were also several different villains teased during the 1st and 2nd season. The promise of Carnage, Hydro Man, Man-Wolf, and Hobgoblin never came to be, and fans of the show remember!
Tumblr media
Much like every character, several villains in the show were left on cliffhangers. Hammerhead and Silver Sable were left without any bosses. Harry was left fatherless. Black Cat hates Spider-Man for letting her father stay in prison. And New York was left without a Big Man.
It'd be very exciting to see who might take over after a situation like that.
2. New Heroes
Tumblr media
Unlike other superhero shows, Spectacular Spider-Man lacks many if any team ups.
Since it's cancellation, we have had several Spider-Verse crossovers, and Spider-Gwen and Miles Morales have entered the main stream.
Tumblr media
Making Gwen a Spider and introducing Miles into the friend group could add more tension to the Peter and Harry dynamic as he feels left out and an eerie feeling something is going on.
The potential for Spectacular Spider-Man to enter a wider Marvel universe is now possible, with Disney now owning the rights for television.
Tumblr media
We could see Peter join the Avengers, fight alongside Ms. Marvel, even switch bodies with Wolverine.
I'm not saying this SHOULD happen, but we do know that Greg Weismann knows how to build out a universe.
Tumblr media
3. Not Enough (Good) Animated Spidey Content
Tumblr media
Since Spectacular Spider-Man, we've had two different animated Spider-Man shows. Ultimate Spider-Man and Marvel's Spider-Man.
While Ultimate Spider-Man had a silly interesting tone, and an overarching story that was interesting at times, it paled in comparison to what came before.
Tumblr media
Many of the characters lacked depth, and the jokes just didn't hit the same. But at least that show had charm.
Marvel's Spider-Man did not.
The animation was boring, the characters lacked the fun and whimsy of both the others, and every character felt exaggerated. It was painful to watch.
The next Spider-Man show we are getting is entitled Spider-Man Freshman year, set within the MCU.
Tumblr media
While it looks promising and different, due to the writers strike, the MCU constantly pushing projects back, and Marvel Studios constantly over working VFX and animation studios, I don't see this one coming out any time soon.
Which leaves a window for Spectacular Spider-Man to fill. We've gone too long without animated Spidey content on television!!
and most importanty:
4. Josh Keaton is just the Best Spider-Man
Tumblr media
Holland. Maguire. Garfield. Johnson. Lowenthal. Moore. The question keeps coming up. Who is the best Spider-Man?
But oh they are all wrong.
So soon the public forget how perfect Keaton's acting is. He nails the quips like Garfield. The inner monologues like Maguire. The awkward nerdiness like Holland. And he nailed the blacksuit storyline.
He perfected it all.
Keaton's Spider-Man is on pair with Kevin Conroy's Batman. It is the voice I hear when I read the comics, and it works on every level.
At 44, Keaton still sounds like Peter Parker, and could continue doing the show now as if it never ended. But frankly, we don't know how long that will last, or how long Keaton would be interested in continuing this version of the character. Now is the time to give him that call!
In this era of oh so many Spider-Men, it's time the king took back his crown. There's a reason he's the animated Spider-Man that made it into Across the Spider-Verse.
Now is the time to bring it back. The fans want it. Keaton wants it. It would be a win for everyone.
Let's just hope Disney isn't stupid enough to miss that.

marauders era (very?) unpopular opinions
i don't really Iike the rockstar-ified regulus characterization. i feel like he's been sort of sirius-fied and, while i am all for different characterizations and different viewpoints on certain characters, i, for one, can't see regulus as that. (i can go in depth about my view and characterization of regulus in dms, if anyone wants to hear it.)
this might not be as unpopular, but i do not mind the transfem sirius headcanon. while i do not headcanon it myself, i've made a post about it in which i explained my stance on it.
i love remus lupin with all my heart, but if i had to pick a least favorite marauder, he would be my choice. in my opinion, he is slightly overrated and, to be honest, the least interesting marauder. james has so much unexplored potential, sirius is a dilemma in his own, and peter's betrayal and dynamic with other characters pre and post betrayal is something so intriguing to me. remus is certainly an interesting read in his own, i just prefer the others more.
atyd is not the best fic this fandom has. of course, it's well-written and, despite the characters not fully aligning with my view of them, it really is tied into the 70s, which is something i always look for in fics. however, the use of slurs really put me off and, generally, despite atyd being a good fic, i have read far better than it.
james has only become popular recently because of jegulus and, if you go in the james potter tag, a lot of the posts are, in a way or another, related to jegulus. i've seen the same phenomenon with jily, though to a smaller extent, and, to some, it seems like james is a person inherently tied to the relationships he is in, and i think that him as an individual is far more important and complex than his relationships.
this is not exactly an unpopular opinion (to some extent), but the marauders era nonmen are criminally underrated, and, in certain cases, they are more compelling than the men. seeing the fact that their characters are so unexplored, that leaves a lot of space for people to be creative and work around certain characters, each character in different people's grasp.
tying into the former, there is no right way to "create" a certain character. differences of opinion will always exist, regardless if it is a fandom opinion or not. certain ways to characterize a certain character. tying into my first opinion, just because i do not like that way of portraying regulus does not mean that other people don't. some people agree will agree with me, and some people won't, and that is absolutely fine. my cup of tea is not everyone else's, too.
this is not exactly an opinion that is tied into the marauders, but it is, to some extent. i do believe that lyall was a good father. not the best, admittedly, but i do believe he tried his best to offer remus a decent life and, as much as i hate citing canon, there is canon evidence for it. i do choose to ignore canon, though, and the characterization of lyall that i am fully in love with is the characterization of a flawed man that is trying his best to be a good person. again, tying in the former point, no one is forced to agree with me.

personal mphfpc recap since i finally finished reading all the books
spoilers for the entire mphfpc series ahead. this will mostly be me talking about the book's imperfections, because when i love a piece of media, i also love criticizing it to its core
so, i first read the books 1-4 in 2020 and i was SO obsessed!!?? i wasn't really into social media and fandom culture back then, so i didn't really have anyone to talk to about mphfpc and i remember being very sad about that. i also remember trying to make fanart of the characters, but i REALLY sucked at art back then and to this day i find old mphfpc drawings and cringe at them. maybe it's time to redraw some of those...
anyways, i read the fifth book when it first came out in germany and i kind of hated it lol. i was really rushing through it, because i couldn't wait for the fugh reunion. so i kind of missed out on the whole plot because i only cared about fiona and hugh.
basically, i recently finished rereading the books, because nostalgia or whatever and i'm kind of obsessed again. so...i'm just dumping some thoughts on the whole series here because on tumblr i can actually find ppl with mutual interests.
first of all there's literally SO MANY inconsistencies and plotholes?? what the actual fuck ransom riggs. idk how much of this is prevalent in the og books, because i mainly read the german translations, but sometimes riggs just forgets who hugh is i guess?? he mixes up his and horace's peculiarities once and at some point he is referred to as howard. who the fuck is howard. these are literally the most easiest mistakes to fix. does he not have an editor?
i'm not even gonna talk about the movie. i have a whole seperate post for it
it sometimes bothers me how only certain characters seem to serve a purpose. in every novel emma, enoch, millard and bronwyn are clearly the focus (besides jacob) despite the fact that the other characters are equally interesting and likeable. hugh, horace, claire, olive and obviously fiona are just NOT THERE for like the entirety of AMOD. are you kidding me
the entire second trilogy...is kind of a cashgrab. of course i'm happy we got more books and i liked them, but it's kind of obvious that the author simply had some pictures left and saw an opportunity to make some more profit out of them. that's not bad, but these books weren't necessary for the overall storyline.
the thing with the prophecy in DODA...the entire book was dedicated to finding the other lighteaters, but they don't really do anything in the end?? i kinda get why noor has to be the *main character*, but why introduce julius and sebbie when everything could have played out the same way without them?
julius and horace...is it really that hard to age julius down? it would've made that a lot less creepy. there is literally no reason for julius to so much older than horace. not sure if this could be considered queerbaiting, since i don't know a lot about that topic. would be grateful if anyone elaborated more on that.
hugh and fiona are still my favorite thing about these books THEY ARE PERFECT IN EVERY WAY AND DESERVED SO MANY MORE SCENES UGH. i don't need another jemma kiss i need FUGH. there is just so much potential and plus, we never really get to learn about their backstories?? like we know that they're from the 1840s, so how did they get into a loop a century later?
how was fiona able to *whisper* to hugh in DODA, she literally had her tongue cut out, hello?
so many characters with lots of potential either die or just disappear. lilly, sam, althea, peter-and-joel...ring any bells??
why is horatio kinda
ok i'm sorry
the photos are so funny sometimes, because at times there will be a photo of, say, emma and in the next book there will be another picture of her and she just looks like a different person. because, obviously, that's a photo of a different person. but apparently, ransom thinks we're too dumb to notice that.
i would just love it if there'd be storylines that focused on each character individually, because again, WASTED POTENTIAL
ricky deserved to have a comeback, i feel like this is general fandom consensus
introducing v, just to kill her off? idk man
despite all of these criticisms i just made, i fucking cherish these books
since pjo gets a new awesome reboot i think we deserve one too
i also wish the fandom was bigger but maybe it's a good thing that it's kind of niche. i don't know.
uhh i guess that was my not-so-little rant and yeah...enjoy this post i guess

Can you please do something with Yandre! Peter Parker and a reader who just fully accepts it? I reader your general headcanons and loved like the sweet side of things lol. Like she thinks she’ll hate it but she hasn’t got to do anything and can research stuff she’s interested in (like History), and then Peter comes home and she just gets love and someone cares for her. idk, hopefully my message is put across well lol. Thank you!
Yandere! Peter Parker With Accepting Reader
Tumblr media
Hopefully this is adequate for what you requested. I hope you like it. Also, I just wanna explain that I imagine this to be the Peter Parker who’s living in his own apartment at the end of the last movie. 🕷♥️
Ooo I love this idea. But you’re right he would be really sweet. I think the only times a yandere tendency would come into play with him is when you were in potential danger of harm by someone else, in potential danger of being taken by someone else, and when he’s had a bad day and just wants to indulge in you.
I see that last one happening a lot with the work he does. But I’ll come back to that later and just go in chronological order; by events.
When he first takes you and you begin to heavily hesitate, he understands. He’s not a delusional yandere. He would know this is a big change for you that you had to get adjusted to and he’d do whatever you want to make that more comfortable. (Except for going back home that’s out of the question)
He would definitely try talking to you about things first. Your worries about the situation, things to make the transition easier, rules, punishments with an emphasis on how he’d never physically hurt you though because he never wants to see you upset.
“Well we can go over everything to maybe ease your mind.”
“Um.. not right now but if I know I can trust you then later you might can talk to your friends and things.”
“I’m sorry.. I don’t want to make this miserable for you. Is there anything I can get you that you like that’ll make it easier to be in here? You like history facts? Ok, I’ll pay for the history channel and get some books for you. What kind of history do you like? Heh, there’s a lot of it”
“well I do have some basic rules that I have to go over with you but again, they won’t be permanent if I know I can trust you.”
He would get a part time job to fund everything he needed for you. You ask and you shall receive!
After the tension has settled down between you two and you become more open to the idea. He would slowly introduce new aspects. He’ll come home showing you his new Lego set and asked what you found out about history that day. Spending general time together makes him, well, giddy.
He would think about introducing physical touch but was still weary of how you would react. He knew you were probably still adjusting but.. he just wanted to hold you.
“Hey uh.. can-can I hug you? If not I understand I just..I want to.”
If you said no, he’d totally respect it and wait til you guys felt a bit closer to ask again. But if you said yes, prepare for cuddles!
Remember when I said he’d want to indulge in you after a bad day? This is where that comes into play. I 100% can imagine him coming in with cuts and bruises and those puppy eyes just wanting to cuddle. He’d deny any treatment you’d offer at first. He’d just want to wrap his arms around you and nuzzle his head into your neck or even lap. Very golden retriever, this guy.
“I’ll get the first aid kit in a minute, I just… can I lay with you for a little while.. please?” 🥺
He would cook breakfast for you before he left, have a mini fridge with drinks and snacks for when he’s gone, and would come home to make dinner for you. He didn’t know much about cooking before, he learned to cook just because of you.
He’d clean the room as well and would ask you didn’t do anything too strenuous. Leave it up to him. That’s what he wants. He wants to take care of you any way you’d let him. If you one day asked him to comb your hair, he’d almost jump with glee then calm down enough so he can be incredibly gentle when combing. He did not want to tug on it or hurt you so it would take him a while and he’d go really slow. If you asked him to hand feed you, he’d love to and make sure to blow on each bite before feeding it to you. He’d get a little anxious not knowing if what he was doing was good enough though. If he was combing your hair and there was even the slightest tug, he’d gasp and ask if he hurt you. Or if he was feeding you and you grimaced or your facial expression faltered, he would turn into: 🥺 that emoji with the puppy eyes and ask if it was too hot, cold, or if you didn’t like it. So, in other words, he’s extremely, if not overboard in his attentiveness.
But it’s all for you and because he loves you. He just wants the best for you!
After your relationship developed and he could completely trust you, he’d allow you more freedoms. He’d at first allow you to text one, just one, of your family members of your choice just to take it slow for now. He will also be watching over your shoulder. He’d gradually allow more freedoms with who you spoke to. He’d then allow you to go out into town with him once your family knows you’re okay and that, “you just needed time alone.” Although you had to by with him every time you went out in town but he would buy you absolutely anything you wanted. One of the big freedoms he’s kind of scared to give you is to see your parents again because of course, he’d have to be there and that means he’d be meeting your family. What if they don’t like him? What if they try to take you away from him? He would express these feelings to you and ask what you thought as you knew your parents and what they’d accept in their daughters partner.
Also, quick note. He acts very much in the dating phase but in his head he thinks (knows) that marriage and kids are going to happen with you guys at some point. Like it is just natural information in his mind. So while he’s easing you both into more scenarios/freedoms/situations, he already sees you as his wife. He always had. He is committed to you and nobody but you.
Hopefully everything went well with your family and friends and they all got along with Peter. Otherwise you might “need to take a break” again. Contact via cell phone would still be open with them, but no way in hell were they going to separate you both. Unless you can convince them to think otherwise.
He just wants to be with you. Nothing is going to change that from happening. As long as your friends and family accept that, you’re life will be lived happily ever after.

We all know that the movie Wish had potential but it is very poorly written so I think the movie would have turned out better if they had made any of these options:
1) Better implement the problem of desires and their consequences. For example, the anime Madoka Magica explores the theme of wishes, how your wish can be granted in the worst possible way, the consequences of this way of obtaining your wish and how people realize that what they wished for was not what they really wanted and how they have to deal with it. It would have been interesting to see this in the movie and how the characters handle it.
2) Asha was a potential Miyo Takano so the movie could take advantage of this to make Asha a villainous protagonist and see her rise from antagonist to full villain becoming obsessed with making her grandfather's wish come true to the point of becoming more amoral until she is a total villain. It would have been interesting if Asha has Miyo Takano's story and personality.
3) Making Asha reflect and realize that Magnifico turned to dark magic out of desperation to stop her because he got carried away by his paranoia that someone would want to harm his kingdom which makes Asha understand Magnifico's motivations, try to save him from his corruption and make him stop his paranoia.
4) Make Magnifico always carry his book of dark magic with him. That way it would be shown how Magnifico gradually became corrupted due to the dark magic of the book and the longer he was around the book the more he became corrupted, that way Magnifico's descent into villainy would be more believable.
5) Another way to make Magnifico's villainy believable is to show more directly that he believes that people only value him for his ability to grant wishes so seeing that many wishes that the inhabitants of Rosas ask him to grant are wishes that they can fulfill themselves without his help but they decide to leave everything in the hands of Magnifico out of laziness, he ends up exploiting and getting angry because he feels exploited by his own people. In this way, Magnifico would have quite justified reasons to be angry, and therefore, all the inhabitants of Rosas would have to recognize that some wishes could be achieved by themselves as well as recognize their exploitation of Magnifico and save him from his corruption or make Magnifico repents and stops when he sees that his subjects have changed for the better and seeks to help them in a healthier way, such as giving them advice so that they can fulfill their own desires.
6) Give Magnifico the personality of Big Mom. Big Mom is a rather violent and ruthless pirate empress who has a country called Tottoland where anyone can enter but she forces them to give parts of their soul to her to keep the ecosystem of Tottoland running. She created Tottolando to make her dream come true and that is to make a country where people of different races live together in harmony and are the same size as her, but everyone in Tottoland is scared of her, including her own children. Simply Magnifico would have been a more convincing villain if he had the same violent and unstable personality as Big Mom, if his subjects were afraid of him as Big Mom's are and if he forced his subjects to give them their wishes as Big Mom does with their souls of her subjects instead of waiting for them to be given to Magnifico and willingly.
7) I feel like Asha would have shined more as a protagonist if she were like Miles Morales in the sense that Miles has a more convincing evolution than Asha. Miles Morales is motivated to be Spiderman because he feels guilty for the death of Peter Parker in his universe, but his parents remind him not to forget who he is beyond his work as Spiderman and he ended up accidentally creating Spot and ruining a canonical event without knowing it. What makes Miles decide to try to save both his father and the multiverse because Spiderman always tries to save all and why Miles believes it is his responsibility to stop Spot for creating and angering him. It would be interesting if Asha had conflicts (about feeling guilty that her grandfather did not get his wish and that Magnifico turned bad, although that is not entirely true, and that because Asha feels that she should be the one to make her grandfather's wish come true and of being the one who stops Magnifico) and overcame them and watched her mature like happened with Miles.

Ranting about spider-man
Im gonna ramble about spider-man for a second. I'll get to organizing my thoughts later.
Miles and Peter are so fucking interesting to me, based on their Ideals of justice and shit like that. Peter is constantly holding himself back and constantly making himself into the Spider-man he wishes he was constantly making sure to be responsible with his powers.
With great power comes great responsibility, with the ability to do good one MUST do good is the whole fucking thing with him and when I think about Miles I see that message reflected in a completely different way. Like peter is constantly, CONSTANTLY fighting to make sure he keeps himself in check, keeps his abilities in the hands of those he can help constantly trying to save New York because of the mistake he made, because of his first selfish desire to use his powers for his own gain.
His with great power is more about using his power to keep people safe to focus on himself keeping his abilities in check to keep this selfish desire away from his moral compass, meanwhile miles does not have this inhibition.
When miles got his powers in the comics he fucking saved people immediately, he was helping people immediately, he had no care for himself, he saw an issue and he filled the role, he was what peter wants to be, but there is this anger in Miles.
Have you seen that one panel where Miles is gonna venom strike a landlord? I think about that panel a lot. That moment is what defines the difference between peter and miles for me.
Peter has to constantly hold himself accountable hide his anger, and his sadness, and his rage, has to constantly hide behind the mask that he made for himself, but MILES DOESN'T HAVE THAT.
When Miles sees a problem he fixes it, he solves it in the quickest way possible, when he sees injustice he tries to get to the root of it quickly with no chance for recourse, miles tries to get to the root of the problem,he doesn't care about hiding himself and that is so fucking **interesting** to me.
I am not articulating this well but whatever, I just
There is so much potential for Miles and Peter having conflicts having bouts over what is and what isn't the right way to solve a crime, and unless im missing something im not really seeing it happening. The closest we get is across the spider-verse and that only made me want MORE.

multiverse question, [fics: double-blind, wicked love]: what would DB!Peter, DB!Extremis-Tony, and DB!Post-Extremis-Tony think of WL!Peter and WL!Tony? (I'm curious about the aspects of dadson, identity reveal, and how DB!Peter and WL!Tony are somewhat alike in that they try to "save" their loved one. But I'm very interested in any of your takes!)
Extremis!Tony: That version of me is a coward. Peter needed him, and he let him suffer through that disease because he was upset that Peter wanted him? What a waste.
---
Cured!Tony: Cool, some other version of me found an excuse to fuck his kid, awesome. I have my own problems to deal with, so good luck to them, seems like a great basis for a long-term relationship.
---
Peter: ...I really... messed a lot of things up, huh? Maybe... maybe I'm really not meant to be Spider-man.
[[further analysis is going to be too long for tags only so 🐻URSA INTERLUDE🐻
Extremis!Tony would be extremely interested in the idea of the multiverse and other Peters and Tonys existing out there so it's probably for the best that he is Unaware lmao. He would find the whole Spider-man/identity reveal aspect mildly interesting in that "huh I guess that's a universal constant" way but be VERY INTERESTED in the fact that Peter was actually the one whose feelings turned romantic/sexual in that universe first, and it would make him curious about whether or not his Peter has more potential in that area than he would've assumed, if Tony did go out of his way to plant the idea in Peter's head somehow without scaring him in the process.
The feelings he stated here about Tony were very honest: "ugh, our gorgeous wonderful perfect son adores him and wants to be with him and this guy is COMPLAINING? what an asshole."
Cured!Tony is also being pretty honest in the sense that he is far more preoccupied with scraping his life back together than worrying about alternate universe versions of he and Peter, but it does bum him the fuck out that there's some dadson identity porn mirror universe out there where similar things happened from another angle because it makes him worry there's just something inherently fucked up about him and his relationship with Peter and maybe he's just Not Able to be a good dad after all.
He is not really in an emotional place to want to dig into the moral implications of WL!Peter's actions so he's just defaulting to "self" blame for the situation instead. WL!Tony I'm sorry all your alternate selves just want to victim-blame you you're doing great sweetie
Peter is Upset about it. It makes him sad to see that he hurt his dad so badly and also to see that being Spider-man led to more tragedy in another universe, with a kind of feeling like "oh well maybe me and Dad are just fated to hurt each other and have something fucked up and I specifically am always an incestuous little freak who ruins everything by being Spider-man," sldfjlsdk. He is far too down on himself atm to recognize any kind of parallel between WL!Tony curing WL!Peter of his Hanahaki and himself curing his dad of Extremis.
