I love your take on Crowley!
I know that the early, non-Diasomnia stories aren't really your thing, but are you reading the novels at all?
I have been following some of the fan translations and the second book seems intense! Would love to hear what you think about them.
thank you! 💚💚💚 I'm not really sure why you think I don't like the earlier arcs though, I love pretty much all the characters and their storis! (I think 5 and 1 are my favorite of the past episodes, though 6 infected me with the Shroud brainrot something fierce.) I just...ESPECIALLY love diasomnia. :') but there is room in my heart for all of these dweebs! like, who among us is not just as ride-or-die for Adeuce as they are for us.
that said, I don't really follow the other adaptations like the manga (aside from a dip-in just to see the new Yuus) or the novels, though I keep meaning to check them out! I do like seeing the differences between the different forms of media, and how certain things get adapted one way or another! but alas, time/a lack of accessibility stands in our way more often than not. :( someday...someday I will have time to consume all of the media...

One thing I love about mutant mayhem is that Leo has a crush on an April who’s not conventionally attractive. It almost feels like, because of the turtles’ isolated upbringing* he hasn’t been influenced by the popular western beauty ideals and just thinks this ordinary human is beautiful! And I think that’s really cool! Because she is!
*though they’ve clearly been exposed to celebrities and other pop culture so ?? idk lol

thinking about how dream’s childhood dream was to become a youtuber. how he never thought he would make it to where he is now, and said if you told kid dream he would have millions of subscribers one day he would cry. there is no one in the world like dream who has been through what he’s been through and has been in his shoes but keeps pursuing his goals with so much purpose and sincerity.
i think kid dream would be so proud and excited about where he is now. it’s so obvious he is doing what he has always loved. what a lovely thing to accomplish, to honor your childhood self and reach your most authentic goals that seemed far away. to reach them with your own diligence and creativity. to reach them by staying true to yourself and listening to your heart and being able to take care of family and all the ones close to you because of a childhood dream you had the courage to pursue

Had a conversation with my father today that started with me asking if he’d ever read the book/ seen the movie (he hasn’t) and ended with me reciting “Dally’s stronger than I am. Why can I take it when Dally can’t? And then I knew. Johnny was the only thing Dally loved. And now Johnny was gone” from memory

if james mcewan has a million fans i'm one of them. if james mcewan has five fans i'm one of them. if james mcewan has one fan that one is me. if james mcewan has no fans i'm no longer alive. if the world is against james mcewan then i'm against the entire world.

I'll complain about this until the end of time, but I cannot stand the characterization of nico listening to emo music. please give this kid some metal to listen to, if you wanna keep the silly level of darkness that people try giving him with emo music let him listen to some pretentious black metal or something, but there's no way in hell nico would listen to fucking fall out boy
I respect you anon but I am so sorry, I am the exact opposite.
I love the idea of Nico listening to normie emo music cause it's just easiest to find and he's technologically challenged and also he almost definitely got into it because Thalia handed him her ipod one time when he was 10 to get him to shut up for 5 minutes and he ended up binging MCR's entire discography. Also, he's too nice to be pretentious about anything and he's a huge nerd. All that + Rick saying Nico likes technopop, Nico definitely has like a solid couple hundred plays of Rolling Girl on his probably stolen ipod and if you hit shuffle it's a weird combo of emo hits of the early 2010s, Porter Robinson and Mika, and anime OP jumpscares. If circumstances were slightly different he'd be a scene kid.
