Hot as Hades
Misc. Masterlist - Masterlist
Chapter 1
Words: 1939
Summary: the fate of yours and Hades' is bound but the Fates advise caution while Aphrodite is meddling in the Lord of the dead's affairs
Chapter 2 - Prophecy
Tumblr media
Hades rushed down the steps, seething with anger towards Pain and Panic for neglecting to inform him of the Fates' arrival. The most important inhabitants of the underworld, aside from himself of course, were waiting for him and his good for nothing imps were too busy with hell knows what to even tell him. They had one task, just one damned task. Hades pinched the bridge of his nose and took a deep breath before swinging open the doors.
"Ladies. Hah. I am so sorry that I'm...", he began, attempting to apologise, but the Fates cut him off.
Tumblr media
"Late", they finished in unison.
"We knew you would be", Lachesis chuckled.
"We know everything", Clotho proudly stated.
"Past."
"Present."
"And future", Atropos added, nudging Pain, "indoor plumbing. It's gonna be big."
"Right, anyway ladies, I was at this picnic kinda thing and I lost all track and wanted to ask abou-", Hades tried to explain, only to be interrupted once again by the Fates.
"We know!"
His hair momentarily flared up in a deep red before returning to its usual blue flames as he took a series of deep breaths, attempting to regain his composure. He knew that losing his temper in front of the Fates would be counterproductive, despite how frustrating they could be to deal with. However, Aphrodite's words continued to swirl in his mind, leaving him wondering if there was any truth behind her teasing remark.
"I KNOW, you know. Anyway, Aphrodite... Ms. Lovey Dovey, Ms. "Hey I always know when someone's in love", now she has told-"
"About the mortal being in love with you. WE KNOW!", the Fates interrupted him yet again.
Hades couldn't help but slam his hand against his face in exasperation, a painful reminder to himself to maintain his calm and charm.
"I KNOW YOU KNOW! I got it, I got the concept!", he clenched his teeth, forcefully contorting the twitching corners of his mouth into a distorted smile, "so let me just ask. Is Aphrodite telling the truth about that mortal? Will she love me back? What do you think?"
Clotho released a sorrowful sigh, parting her lips, but before any words could escape, Lachesis seized the edge of her robe and swiftly turned her around.
"We're not supposed to reveal the future!", she reminded her sister, fixing a stern gaze upon her, despite the absence of an eyeball.
It didn't go unnoticed by Hades that a disagreement was brewing between the Fates. He found himself in the perfect position to extract information from them, all it would take was a touch of his usual charm and he would attain his answers.
"Ladies ladies", his voice was smooth and alluring, "time out, please. Can I ask you a question by the way? Did you cut your hair or something? You look fabulous, like a fate worse than death."
His slender fingers gently touched a strain of her hair, which popped out and wound its way along his arm like a poisonous snake, ready to strike. Hades' expression briefly contorted into disgust before he regained his composure and tucked the hair back into its rightful place. Clotho couldn't contain her giggles, resembling an infatuated teenager, prompting Lachesis to nudge her in the side, causing their shared eye to pop out and roll towards Hades. He swiftly retrieved it, plucking a hair from it before gently taking hold of Lachesis' hand and placing the eyeball on her palm.
"Ladies, please", he purred with a seductive voice, "my fate is in your lovely hands."
Lachesis and Clotho looked at each other, sighs of awe leaving their lips.
"Alright", Atropos grumbled, taking hold of the eye and letting it hover among the other Fates before transforming it into a radiant dark blue sphere.
"In 18 nights precisely, the hearts will align ever so nicely. The time to act will be at hand, free your aching heart, bodies to bend."
"Mmm-hmm. Good, good", Hades chuckled, a blush creeping up his cheeks as he attempted to push sudden thoughts of your naked form out of his mind.
"The once lonely receives all and her heart be yours to call!"
His heart skipped a beat. After eons of torment from his lonely, aching heart, trapped in the desolation of the demanding underworld, he caught a glimpse of a flickering light—a small flame ignited by a glimmer of hope deep within him.
"But a word of caution to this tale", the Fates' tone darkened.
And there it was, the usual punch in the face, the cruel reality swirling around him, teasing him with the notion that all the beauty and happiness in the world was meant for every god except himself.
"Excuse me?", Hades spoke, his voice cracking with sorrow.
"Should Zeus deny, love will fail.", the Fates cackled before disappearing.
The Lord of the Underworld screamed, his furious roar echoing through the realms of darkness like a wave of scorching flames from the depths of hell, threatening to consume and obliterate everything in its path. His fists pounded against the table in the chamber before he hurled it against the wall, the stone shattering into countless fragments as the sound of his frantic breath filled the room, while Panic and Pain slipped away silently, hoping to avoid being maimed.
Tumblr media
You finished work, helping your boss cleaning up before you headed home. Daily life had become more bearable since that night with Hades. With a joyful tune on your lips, you happily skipped through the streets towards your humble abode. As you collapsed onto your bed, a gentle sigh escaped your mouth, your mind filled with thoughts of when it would be fitting to reach out to the god once again. You yearned for his presence and the ache you felt in your belly while laughing at his silly puns.
"Thinking about the Lord of the Gloomy and Grumpy?", someone chuckled.
You jumped up from your bed and turned towards the voice, its origin being the most beautiful woman you've ever laid eyes on.
Tumblr media
"Are-are-are you?", you stammered as every muscle on your body tensed.
"Aphrodite, goddess of love and desperately needed in this household", she smiled warmly at you.
"Do you?", your hands waved around, unsure what or how to ask.
"Know about the blooming love between you and the Lord of the dead? Of course my dear and I dare say that I wasn't even involved in all this. He fell for you loooong ago on his own. Whoops!", the goddess threw her hands up and laughed, a mischievous twinkle in her eyes, "shouldn't have said that."
You blinked in disbelief at the goddess' statement. Could it be that Hades felt the same way? That you actually charmed a god? Capturing his immortal heart even before you met him? It felt surreal, your head was spinning at the speed of light, different thoughts pestering your mind while a thousand questions whirled around demanding answers and all while your heart seemed to beat so fast that it almost felt painful.
"Poor little mortal", with an air of amusement, she paced around you, her voice dripping with curiosity, "but I'm not surprised, Hades is one of kind, thankfully, I think everyone on Olympus would scream if there were more like him."
"What will happen now?", you hesitantly asked.
"You two are linked by fate, my sweet little mortal", the godess whispered in your ear, "but only the Fates can tell what fate was, will be or will become."
A surge of emotions swirled within you - excitement, anticipation and a tinge of fear. Your lips parted to pose more questions but Aphrodite had already vanished, leaving only a faint trace of her delicate fragrance behind. It felt as though you were running in circles, every new piece of information throwing you back to the exact same spot you had started from. Unable to find solace in this confusion, you resolved to seek answers from the only god you felt comfortable talking to, so, the next day after work, you made your way back to the shrine in the forest.
Unbeknownst to you, Hades had been expecting your arrival, his piercing eyes watching you from the underworld. He paced around in the throne room, cursing at Aphrodite's involvement. The revelations from the Fates had deeply unsettled him, he now also had the goddess of love meddling in his affairs, as if his situation wouldn't have been bad enough. He didn't know of what exactly and how he had to convince his brother to prevent a tragedy from happening, but he was determined to find a solution in due course. He possessed a certain resourcefulness and would not allow his brother to ruin his life any further. But that would be for another day, one absurdity at the time. For now, he had to devise a plan to counter any inquiries about his...what did mortals call them again? Ah, yes, feelings. He intended to conceal his emotions for as long as possible.
As he frantically sought a solution, his train of thought was interrupted by the faint whispers of your prayer. A defeated sigh escaped his lips, and he materialised beside you.
"You heard that sound? It was the sound of your little prayer fluttering all the way down into my realm and babe, you wished for it and baboom, here I am", he exclaimed, a smug grin hiding his nervousness, wiggling his eyebrows.
"So", you mumbled, avoiding his gaze while nervously shuffling your feet on the ground, "Aphrodite..."
"Yeeeeah I know I know", Hades said, rubbing the back of his neck as his eyes darted between you and the ground.
"Is it...?", the question lingered unspoken for a moment.
"True? I would guess so", he sighed.
"So what...uhm...now?"
Tumblr media
"We dance, we kiss, we schmooze, we carry on, we go home happy. If you want to of course, unlike my dear brother, Mr. High and Mighty, I'd actually prefer if we were on the same page for those kinda things."
You chuckled at that, feeling your heart flutter at the prospect of a date with the Lord of the dead.
As you locked eyes with him, you noticed a flicker of vulnerability hidden behind his typically stoic expression - a mix of affection and apprehension. It occurred to you for the first time that even a god like Hades might be plagued by insecurities. After all, living under the weight of a notorious reputation for eternity, while the other gods lived their best life on Olympus, didn't leave much room for love. Perhaps he had even given up on it altogether, until you wiggled your way into his immortal existence. He grasped your hands, intertwining them and raising them towards his lips, where he planted a gentle kiss. The sensation elicited a soft sigh from you, his unnaturally warm lips against your skin sending a delightful, tingling feeling throughout your body. A blush crept up to your cheeks as your gaze remained fixated on his thumb, softly caressing your flesh.
"The full-time job my brother so charitably bestowed upon me is waiting. I'd really love to stay but I can't. I'll pick you up tomorrow night for a proper date. Be here at sunset."
With those words, he vanished, leaving behind a faint trace of smoke. A real date with a real god...tomorrow...you internally screamed of joy, trying to keep a stoic expression, just in case he'd be watching. You strolled back home, thoughts racing around what he could possibly come up with for tomorrow evening and what a mere mortal like you could wear to impress the Lord of the dead.

A Little Chat
Jazz gets the chance to talk to the ghost boy before she knows he's her brother. When she talks to him after discovering the truth, their first conversation is still ringing in her mind.
For the prompts: What if Jazz had a conversation with Phantom before learning he was Danny? What does their next conversation look like when Jazz knows but Danny doesn't know she knows? [from atropos], and "What do you mean this isn't safe, I'm already dead" [from @princessfanonanona]

[Warnings for mentions of violence and death]
Casper High was all abuzz about the upcoming school dance, but Jazz couldn't care less. Dancing had never been her thing, much less at school where all her peers could watch her embarrass herself. That didn't stop her from getting asked, by Dash Baxter when she was tutoring him, by her lab partner in the middle of chemistry class (gag), by Danny's friend Tucker, who was asking out every girl in school and getting turned down every time.
Jazz was honestly more preoccupied by her ongoing existential crisis about ghosts being real, and her annoyance at how insufferable her parents had been since the revelation. She was nothing if not curious and determined, though.
Her parents said a lot of things about ghosts with very little research or evidence to back their claims, but Jazz wasn't going to just hop on the bandwagon and believe everything they said. If she could, she was going to get a first-hand source on this ghost situation.
Unfortunately, not intending to go to the dance didn't exempt her from the teen-girl bonding nightmare that was helping her friends shop for their dresses. She knew she was only a part of their little group because she tutored them, and she had very little in common with any of them. But she also knew that it was good and healthy for her to socialize with people her own age, and even if she couldn't really relate to them, at least they were nice, and always tried to include her.
That didn't stop them from gently ribbing her about how unhelpful she was being when she said they looked fantastic in every dress they tried on.
Shopping got a lot more exciting, however, when a dragon showed up. Jazz went to check it out, claiming she had to go to the bathroom so the girls wouldn't try to stop her. They were too busy changing to notice the commotion outside the store.
Jazz ran to the second floor railing to get a good look at the ghost boy fighting some glowing blue dragon with a huge amulet around its neck. Jazz watched and waited for the immediate Danger to be over before calling out to him.
"Hey!" she shouted. "Ghost boy!"
The ghost swiveled around in mid-air until he saw her. She waved him over. He shook his head and gestured over his shoulder like he needed to be somewhere.
"Come on, I'll be quick!" she shouted, waving him over more insistently.
Slowly, almost hesitantly, the ghost boy floated over to her.
"Can I help you, citizen?" he asked awkwardly
"Actually, yeah," she said. "I'm Jazz Fenton, you probably know of my parents. They have some very uh... opinionated views about ghosts, and I'm looking to learn more about ghosts from a first hand source. Could I trouble you for a moment of your time?"
"I uh... I don't know how much help I'd be," the boy replied. "To be honest, I'm kind of new to the whole 'being a ghost' thing."
"That's alright," she insisted. "If you don't mind, I still think I could learn a lot from talking to you."
"Uh... alright," he agreed, and settled himself cross-legged in the air just on the other side of the second-floor railing Jazz was still standing at.
This area of the mall had pretty much been cleared out when the dragon showed up, so the two of them were alone, even in the middle of a public place.
"Shoot," he said.
"Okay." Jazz considered for a moment what her first question should be before asking, "Do ghosts have obsessions that motivate all their actions, yea or nay?"
He hummed thoughtfully. "Sort of? Maybe? I don't really know. From what I've been able to get, it seems like ghosts have more of a tendency to be obsessive than humans do, but even ghosts with obsessions aren't motivated one hundred percent solely by those obsessions."
"So would you say that ghosts have free will?" Jazz asked.
"Yes, absolutely we do." There was no hesitation in that answer, no hint of doubt.
"I think I can guess the answer, but do you think ghosts are inherently evil?"
To her surprise, the ghost boy paused before answering, titling his head from side to side like he wasn't really sure what to say.
"Well... I'm not," he answered cautiously. "I haven't met too many friendly ghosts so far, but we're definitely not inherently evil."
"Why do you fight other ghosts?" Jazz asked. "Not that I'm not grateful, but... ever since you showed up, I've been curious about that."
"Why?" he repeated.
He looked perplexed, although Jazz couldn't tell if it was because he didn't know the answer, or because he didn't know why she was even asking because it seemed so obvious to him.
"Well who else is gonna do it?" he asked. That answer did nothing to clear up Jazz's uncertainty. "I can't very well let them just cause chaos around here. They could seriously hurt people."
"What about you?" Jazz asked.
"What about me?"
"I just mean, couldn't they hurt you, too?" she asked. "I saw how you got tossed around by that dragon, and the lunch lady a little while ago. This whole situation, you fighting off ghosts ten times your size to protect humans you barely know... this just doesn't seem safe."
The ghost boy huffed a soft laugh. "What do you mean this isn't safe?" he asked. "I'm already dead, what else can they do to me?"
Jazz frowned, her brows furrowing.
"You still bleed," she said. "I've seen it. You bleed green, but you still bleed."
"So what, I bleed," the ghost boy shrugged, though his expression took on a melancholy tone. "So do you. You're telling me if you saw someone in danger, even if you didn't know them, you wouldn't try to help?"
Jazz didn't really know. Her self-preservation was strong, but so was her compassion. She would have to make that decision in the moment, not standing in a mall across from a boy her brother's age... who had died.
Her brother had almost died, too, once, not that long ago. If she had been there... if she'd had the chance to save him from the pain of that accident at the cost of her own safety, would she have?
"Do you help others because no one helped you when you were dying?" she asked.
Even as it left her mouth she could hear how rude and personal the question sounded, but it was out there now... and she wanted to know.
The ghost boy shook his head. "No one could have helped me," he said. "Even if they were there, even if they wanted to. There was no saving me. It would have just ended with two ghosts instead of one."
She opened her mouth to ask a follow up question, but was interrupted when one of her friends appeared.
"Jazz! There you are!" Marci called out. "Oh my gosh, if you needed a break from dress-shopping, you could have just said so. You didn't have to disappear on a bathroom break for twenty minutes."
"Yeah, we were actually starting to get worried about you," Jenna added. "We heard there was some kinda ghost dragon somewhere in the mall a little bit ago. We thought you might've gotten hurt."
"I'm fine, I promise," Jazz told them. "I actually left to get a closer look, but I made sure to stay a safe distance away. I've just been talking to—" Jazz cut herself off when she turned and saw that the ghost boy was gone.
"Talking to who?" Marci asked, looking at the empty air.
"To whom," Jazz corrected absently. She shook her head. "Never mind. Did you girls pick out dresses you liked?"
"Marci did," Jenna said. "So far, I haven't found anything that speaks to me, ya know? I think I've decided on the color though, I want a pretty sunset orange, like a pink-ish, dark-ish color, maybe with glitter, you know?"
"That's a bold choice," Jazz commented. She didn't know much about fashion, but she did know she didn't see a lot of people walking around in orange most of the time.
"I'm a bold girl," Jenna agreed with a laugh. "I found one orange dress, but the shape made me look like a traffic cone, it was awful!"
Jazz snickered at that mental image and Jenna and Marci laughed with her.
"Come on, there's a couple more stores we can check out to see if they have something you like," Marci suggested. "And obviously we gotta stop at the bookstore, too. We can't leave our main girl Jazz without her lit fix."
Jazz laughed again and followed them toward the next store.
Ever since Jazz found out the ghost boy was her brother, she couldn't stop thinking about it. She'd decided immediately to wait until he was ready to tell her before bringing it up, but that didn't stop it from being on her mind all the time. She wanted to protect him but there weren't a lot of ways she could do that.
She nearly freaked out on him when they started doing ghost drills at school, and couldn't exactly explain why without taking away his chance to tell her his secret on his own. Luckily, she managed to change the subject and get away without giving herself away, but it was a close call.
She didn't expect to ever get the chance to talk to Danny as the ghost boy again before he told her it was him, because frankly, he did his best to avoid humans as much as possible in his ghost form, most of all his family.
A lot happened. Danny had a million dollar bounty on his head, everyone at school got sick with ghost flu, then a bunch of teenagers had to save all the adults in town (and, embarrassingly, Jazz) when they got kidnapped by ghosts using hypnotic music.
Then the town was sucked into the Ghost Zone, and the only thing protecting them all from a tyrannical ghost king was Fenton Works' ghost shield. And Danny planned to go fight the king himself. He hadn't said it yet, but she could tell by the grim look on his face when he went outside. Jazz followed subtly, but the time she got outside he was already in ghost form, staring up at the green sky.
"Hey, ghost boy, long time, no see," she said.
"Uh... what?" he said. "I don't... oh... right, yeah. Guess it has... been a while."
"You're gonna try to fight the ghost king, aren't you?" she guessed. "Please don't. Amity Park needs you, and if you go fight him... he could destroy you. I know you think you're invincible but this isn't safe."
Danny huffed out a bitter chuckle. "What do you mean its not safe? I'm already dead," he responded, just the same way as he had the last time she told him that.
But this time she knew it wasn't true, not completely.
She remembered the last time she spoke to him as the ghost boy, how he told her that no one could have saved him when he died. She remembered hearing him screaming in the basement from all the way up on the second floor and wondered if it was true. Sam and Tucker had been with him, and she knew they would have helped if they could have.
"You're right about one thing, though," he said after a moment. "Amity Park needs me. I can't flake out on them now."
With that, he flew off to god knew where, to fight the ghost king, or his skeleton army, or the Fright Knight. She just hoped he'd be okay. He was her baby brother, and she didn't think she could handle losing him for good.
He didn't deserve any of this.

hello guess who's here for another request😈😈so can i request a [god] x male god! reader who has a curse similar to Beelzebub curse that they don't know about[like imagine Beelzebub's curse and truma but 100x worse]
alright so like the male reader is the god of peace, creation & balance and he was cursed by some very powerful Being that no god even knows[not even Odin or Zeus knows who cursed him who also didn't know that he was curse in the first place]
his curse was to share the same Body with Atropos or discord[which name you prefer]who is the literal embodiment of chaos, destruction & carnage and could destroy Valhalla and all of the gods if they Wanted too, that "disappeared" centuries ago and so like imagine the two polar opposite having to share the same Body for eternity as no one can even break the curse as it is permanent being fused with his very soul as he also can't kill himself as the curse didn't allowed to kill himself turning him immortal permanently and was a little scared of going any further with there relationship with [god]
before becoming a god the reader would have been an Angel who somehow be came a god but in the process getting cursed and after some good old trauma he got his emotion stolen by Atropos/discord [and btw this is how male reader looks like:
Tumblr media
[and what trauma you may ask?
well when he was cursed he fell unconscious falling to earth being founded by humans who took him in their village and took care of him until he woke up over time m!y/n was treated like family in the village [despite still looking like an angel and being a god] and with m!y/n helping the people by helping them grow food and healing their wounds if they do hurt and so while he was in the village he meet a girl[lets call her agatha] who he soon fell in love with…the two of them would sneak out and lay down in the flower field's that surrounded the village hand in hand, sitting under a tree reading and study with each other…still unaware of his curse but one day…
at first it was like a simply and a normal day for him the village gathering food. talking with each other over all having fun but suddenly he felt liquid run down his cheek…he took his hand to his cheek touching it, looking at the Black substance falling from his eyes before he could react he Blacked out.
to him he was in a void he felt chains around his limbs, voice's screaming out for help what felt like thousands of eyes looking at him as he looked behind him seeing a grotesque monster with someone who looked like him smiling at him as feeling of adrenaline and terror surrounded him before he started to regain consciousness again and
the first thing he saw was agatha going towards him reaching out her hand
m!y/n reached his hand to her not knowing what was going on but before they even have time to react large black spike pierced agatha in the right in the stomach and chest as M!y/n watched in horror as his very first lover got impaled/stabbed Deep as the spike disappeared and as agatha started to fall
M!y/n immediately sprinted to her laying her down on the ground & laying her head on his lap
he frantically started to apologized profusely saying he didn't mean it trying his best to heal her wounds starting to shake and sob more as nothing was happening her wound continued to Bleed out
m!y/n:…p-please i don't want to lo-lose you please i di-didn't mean it im sorry im so sorry…please d-don't leave m-me…[he begged and Begged as he continued to try and heal her wounds seeing that the fresh around the wound was starting to decay quickly now turning black even though he wanted to accept that he couldn't heal her he also didn't want to. so he continued and tried to heal her
suddenly agatha grabbed his hand making him stop healing her as she made him look at her
agatha:y-you know i-it's not working r-right?…[she said smiling weakly as m!y/n started sob even more]
agatha:y-you know I've though a-about my future with y-you…[she said as she continued to smile at him weakly…]
agatha:i-i…know that im just a m-mortal and your a god…but i still wanted to m-marry you one day, to be by your s-side hand in hand l-living happily…h-huh…maybe in another life right?…
m!y/n:…in a another life…[he said still sobbing]
agatha:j-just don't blame yourself a-all right?…[suddenly with her last strength agatha pulled m!y/n into a kiss which would be there first and last kiss…after that she Died in m!y/n arms but m!y/n didn't want to accept this so he picked her up bridal style sprinting around village trying to find someone to help but…all was left was carnage and destruction, the village was in flames ash and blood covering it as the Bloody Body's of the people
who took care and treated him like family all mutilated and Dead…all because of him…
and so after this m!y/n had lost his emotions being locked deep inside of him his old fun loving and sunshine smile and nature gone…replaced with a face that was just there…not showing pain or anything it was just a souless and cold look…but after centuries he met [god] who somewhat filled the void in his cold broken & Dead heart who doesn't have a single clue about his past which m!y/n was grateful for…
and so when Ragnarok came male reader decided to fight for humanity [much to (god) dismay]
[During his fight his suddenly felt liquid coming out of his eye…he touched his cheek to see an oh so familiar black substance and in the first time in forever male reader was panicking as well as [god] first time seeing male reader panicking or showing any type of emotion
as male reader was panicking they started to say over and over again in there head "OH PLEASE NOT AGAIN NOT AGAIN NOT AGAIN NOT AGAIN"as male reader was terrified that he might put more blood on his hands or hurt more people he cares about before he Blacked out.
[to the others gods and humans it looked like male reader was surrounded by shadows, and basically every single horrific monster you could think of as well as the aura being so powerful that the gods have to shield themselves because of the power that was radiating from it as a large monster appeared holding male reader in its grotes claws as it closes letting him transform into Atropos/discord.
sort of like this:
Tumblr media
but on male reader pov he was in a void with thousands of eyes looking at him and screaming voice as well as arms grabbing his legs pulling him more inside the Void as the same people that he considered family in the past who he Also killed because of Atropos/discord surrounding him in a more nightmares and distorted form as Atropos/discord was behind him… the sense looks like this:
Tumblr media
[oh and here's Atropos/discord full Body]
Tumblr media
[after his transformation his opponent [who was in the sky] tried to attack him but didn't even get to move an inch before Atropos/discord arm was through his chest[similar to the sense ware Satan controlled Beelzebub Body and killed Lilith]
and in Atropos/discord hand was there heart that was quickly ripped out from there chest as Atropos/discord looked at the heart before too the horror of the gods and humanity. started eating it in front of everyone with a narcissist/sadistic smile and in the process getting his opponent's powers
as Atropos/discord happily watched there opponent fall to the ground and fade away before passing out and falling to the ground himself bringing back the normal Male reader]
[and after finding out about his past [god] finally understood why M!y/n was so scared of going any further with there relationship as m!reader was scared of losing control and accidentally killing [god] like what happened in his past as they didn't want another person that he care deeply to die in his hands again…]
[and so how would [god] react to finding out that There male!s/o is the vessel of the literal and the very embodiment of chaos, destruction & carnage would they be mad at them for keeping it a secret and what will they're reaction to finding out what happened in m!y/n's past and his transmission/that he was Atropos/discord?]
and for the gods i liked to see are:
Hades
Poseidon
Buddha
and of course Beelzebub!💕
[expecially beelzebub i love that emo😍🤞]
[i know i kind of wrote everything out again so you can just do the reactions if you want]
-(Love) couldn’t understand why you always seemed hesitant to go further in your relationship with him, almost like you were scared of something, but you never said what- you always refused to talk about it.
-He could see the pain in your eyes, the fear, and it did concern him, as he did love you- he cared so much about you- and to see you shy away from him…. It made him angry, frustrated and just concerned- he wanted to help, if you would just tell him.
-You could never tell (Love) the truth, of what you housed in your body- he wouldn’t understand, he would think you were a monster if he knew the truth.
-That’s why you always pushed him away, refusing to go further with the relationship and you would run and hide- but he would always come and find you- apologizing, showing you that he really did love you.
-You did love him, you cared about (Love) so much, but you didn’t want to lose him, not like before- not like the only woman you ever loved- Agatha.
-You shook your head, trying to get her out of your head, because whenever you thought about her, you would always see her bright smiling face, her joy, her love for you- then her terror, her broken body bleeding out in your arms, smiling up at you as she took her last breaths, leaving you helpless to do anything about it.
-(Love) loved other things about you- you calm level-headed coolness, never getting frazzled or upset, your kind nature to all, including humans, even though you were a god yourself, your kind heart- because that’s what drew (Love) to you in the first place, and he never failed to tell you that, making you give him soft smiles, grateful for this little light in your life.
-When Ragnarok was announced you were appalled by the other gods, furious that they wanted to take the easy way out when dealing with humans, and (Love) could see that you were angry.
-That’s why you fought for humanity- choosing to fight for their survival as they were worthy fighting for- they deserved to keep living because they never stopped fighting!
-(Love) watched in fear, not wanting to lose you as well, sitting on the edge of his seat for most of the match as you proved that despite your gentle and kind nature- you were a warrior, showing your strength- your skills.
-You felt something wet drip down your face, and you lifted your hand, pulling back to find what anyone could only describe as black blood and instantly you paled, your eyes widening in fear, a tremble in your voice as the black tears soon covered your face, moving down your body, “NO-NO!! RUN AWAY!!”
-Everyone was stunned, hearing you scream, seeing you look so frantic and terrified as (Love) screamed out your name, feeling the rush of power escaping from you, blowing not only your opponent, but everyone in the stadium back.
-You were engulfed in black blood, your screams dying almost instantly before dark laughter filled the air, your angelic façade melting into something demonic- evil, terrifying as the blood seemed to recede almost instantly, revealing a monster, Atropos, a being of chaos, destruction, and carnage.
-Atropos was lost thousands of years ago, many hoped he had been killed- even the demons in Helheim saw him as monstrous, but none could ever begin to imagine that he had been sealed within your body, and he was now free.
-You could see everything, just like before-just like with Agatha. You screamed, beating on the prison you found yourself in, crying heavily, wanting him to stop hurting your opponent.
-A hand slid up your chest, coming to your neck, the grip firm, silencing you as the other went to your eyes, covering them as Atropos whispered in your ear, “Now-now dear little Y/N- it’s rude to not let me out now and then. Be glad I chose now- and not with your little lover~”
-Your heart felt like ice- thinking of (Love) as more tears fell.
-Your opponent leapt into the sky, trying to take out this monster before it hurt anyone, knowing the dangers but froze as Atropos easily took to the skies, his arm morphing into something evil, it was like an arm made of muscles and blood, no skin, pulsating and radiating evil, before plunging it into the chest of your opponent.
-Everyone was stunned, ready to gather arms to take you on- now concerned for their survival, as Atropos was a danger to everyone in Valhalla right now.
-He devoured the heart he pulled from the chest of your now, thankfully, dear opponent, letting his body fall to the ground as everyone watched in horror, seeing the carnage.
-Atropos lowered to the ground, looking at Heimdall who announced him as the winner before Atropos bowed deeply and as the black blood surrounded him, it fell to the ground, leaving your unconscious body there, as you fell face first into the dirt.
-Many called for your immediate execution, not wanting to risk the chance of Atropos running amok, while others, friends and (Love) were quick to rush to your side, willing to kill those who would do you harm.
-Zeus was hesitant on letting you live- now knowing the truth, you were dangerous, but (Love) was adamant that you were much like Beelzebub, cursed with no way of controlling it- it wasn’t fair to blame you for something you couldn’t control!!
-Zeus and Odin allowed you to live, under the stipulation that (Love) was now responsible for you, and if you looked like you were losing control, he was under orders to immediately kill you, no matter what, something (Love) agreed to.
-He couldn’t believe you had something like that inside of you, sitting by your hospital bed, watching you sleep. He bit his lower lip, he wanted to feel angry, but then he could see why you didn’t say anything, why you never told him the truth. You were scared of him abandoning you- and he knew that earlier in the relationship he might have, he might have turned into one of those out in Valhalla calling for your death. He wasn’t going to leave- even now, knowing the risk, he was going to stay by your side. His hand enveloped your own, holding it to his chest, so you could feel his heartbeat, “Wake up soon Y/N.”
            -Hades and Buddha
-Seeing that monster that you housed in your body did scare him, but he had his own inner demons (Satan/living up to his brother’s standards). He wasn’t perfect either, despite what he would lead others to believe. In the end- he was just a man, a man who loved you deeply, and he wanted you to wake up. All his previous anger- his questions and fury about why you never told him about this, about going further in your relationship- it all made sense now. He knew he could never leave you alone now- there were so many wanting you dead- to protect themselves and their own loved ones, not caring that you couldn’t control it. He inhaled deeply, kneeling beside you, cupping your face as he pressed a soft kiss to your forehead, “I’ll keep you safe- no matter what.”
-Poseidon and Beelzebub

Kari, do you see the latest development between Rinne and Houtaro as romantic or platonic?
Like, this might be me not shipping anyone in Gotchard, but am I alone in feeling that Rinne's jealousy, if it can even be called that, wait no, Rinne IS jealous, but her jealousy doesn't strike me as romantic.
I feel like Rinne's is jealous that Houtaro has a childhood friend outside of Kajiki, someone she doesn't know.
She's jealous of Houtaro's connection when she didn't have a lot of them previously, you get me?
Long post ahead
I don't really see Rinne's beef with Seina as being solely about jealousy over Houtaro and their relationship (however one sees it).
If she were jealous merely because Houtaro was friends with someone she didn't know, she'd also be jealous of their other friends like Sabimaru and Renge- like, she knew them before Houtaro did, but it wasn't like they were close then. They were basically schoolmates who got stuck together hunting the Chemmies under Minato. But Houtaro got along with them (especially Sabi) right from the get-go.
Part of it is also Rinne being jealous over how effortlessly Seina seems to form bonds (or reforge them in the case of Houtaro and his mom). Rinne is an introvert, and her singleminded focus on her alchemy studies and the whole thing with her dad left her isolated from her peers for a long time, so she struggled to make those kinds of bonds herself. It took a long time for her to loosen up, even around the ones she wholeheartedly trusted.
Seina, on the other hand, seems to fit in perfectly without even trying all too hard.
Moreover, even though she now has those bonds, she still lacks the security to be assured that they won't abandon her or leave her alone for one reason or the other. She's still anxious of place with her friends and fears that she's not good enough for her friends- that once someone "better" comes along, they'll just "replace" her with them and she'll be all alone again.
Rinne not being cast in the play in favor of Seina is sort of a hint toward that. Even that whole bit about how Seina and Houtaro's last names add to 100, where her and Houtaro's just add up to 10.
With her tendency to overthink things, she may have begun thinking about herself not being good enough for her friends in other things- including her being Houtaro's partner Rider, due to her power incontinence issues. (Atropos' taunting does not help matters, though Rinne already had these feelings before Atropos came along to pour salt into her wounds.)
However... I do think there certainly are romantic insinuations being made. I mean, the Romeo and Juliet thing is pretty on the nose, tbh.
That said, Rinne may not recognize the romantic aspect of it where Houtaro is concerned. As mentioned, Rinne had been preoccupied with more important things for so long that she may not have really entertained stuff like having crushes. I don't think she even realized that the way she felt could be construed as having a crush on Houtaro until Seina brought the possibility up.
(And if so... whoops, Seina may have just hoisted herself on her own petard there...)

I know a lot of people are already sold on the idea of Rinne and Houtaro being secretly siblings... but hear me out. I have an alternate theory to offer, one that doesn't have the two as siblings.
Houtaro's dad was an alchemist on Kudo Fuga's (Rinne's dad) side, helping him smuggle out the Chemmies (which were under the Alchemist Union's control) little by little until they managed to get all 101 of them free. Maybe he brought some of them home with him, which was how Houtaro met Hopper-1 when he was a little kid.
But Papa Ichinose got caught by the Alchemist's Union, maybe because they found out Houtaro knew about Hopper-1. He refused to betray Fuga, so they either banished him somewhere he can't get out from and/or mind-wiped him of his memories of being an alchemist (as we saw with that classmate of Spanner's)... or maybe even killed him outright.
They mind-wiped Houtaro to remove his memories of Hopper-1 (under the guise of the rule where civilians' memories of Chemmies are erased). If they killed/banished Papa Ichinose, they would have made Houtaro and Mama Ichinose think he just went off on some adventure and will come back. They would also have mind-wiped their memories of him being an alchemist if they were aware of it.
It explains why Fuga just gave Houtaro the Driver, no questions asked. Sure, Hopper-1 and Steamliner "chose" him, but maybe he knew all along that he could trust this boy with it... because he knew why Hopper-1 chose him (that being Hopper-1 recognizing him as the little boy who befriended him years ago).
And if he knew Houtaro was his old friend's son, he would be compelled not only to entrust the Driver to him, but also to give his life protecting him- especially if Houtaro's dad did die helping him free the Chemmies.
It may also explain why the union inspector immediately suspected Houtaro being a spy yet was not surprised that he's able to gain the trust of the Chemmies and wielding their powers. If he knew Houtaro's dad was a talented alchemist who did manage to get the Chemmies to come along with him, then he wouldn't be all that surprised that his kid could do it too. Even more so if he knew about Houtaro having befriended Hopper-1 before. But of course he wouldn't trust Houtaro if his dad is considered a traitor to the Union.
(This doesn't explain why he didn't suspect Rinne of being the spy either, but because she is part of the Academy as a student even though her dad's been missing a while, it probably means someone within the Union took her in and vouched for her.
It also doesn't explain why Minato wouldn't have recognized Houtaro if his dad was a known alchemist, but maybe the Union unpersoned him in their ranks and/or Minato wasn't even around yet when it all went down.)
And maybe this also explains Atropos' taunts towards Rinne. She knew it was Rinne's dad protecting the Chemmies, after all, so if he was working with someone else she probably knew about it too.
What if when she said "it's all [Rinne's] fault" she was referring to Houtaro? She was saying that the whole reason Houtaro's the Kamen Rider because her dad got his dad involved, and in the process brought him into the whole affair too.
From a meta standpoint... well, it's not the first time an organization a Rider worked for made the Riders think someone was just away only for them to been killed as a traitor to that organization all along (despite actually being on the right side/trying to do the right thing).
That was basically what happened to Fukamiya Hayato, Kento's dad, in Saber- in his case, Hayato was manipulated into thinking he was doing the right thing when he "betrayed" the guild, and was actually acting on the orders of Master Logos, who had malicious intentions. Kento and the rest of the SoL were under the impression that he just ran off to join the Megid, when in fact he'd already been killed and the Calibur they were fighting wasn't his dad but another person entirely.
Notably, Gotchard is being co-written by Keiichiro Hasegawa, who also worked on Saber. And KR writers are known for their tendency to recycle their plots a lot.
In their case, Papa Ichinose and Fuga did betray the Union, but it remains to be seen why they did. Though, it would not be surprising if they found out the the Union had nefarious plans for the Chemmies and/or was in cahoots with Glion all along.
I mean, pretty much every official organization the Riders were affiliated with in Reiwa turned out to be involved with the bad guys in some way- AIMS being part of ZAIA which was involved in the Ark incident, the aforementioned Master Logos who lead the Swords of Logos being a bored nihilist whackjob, Fenix being founded by the leader of Giff's cult, the DGP being behind everything to begin with... so, if the Alchemist Union turned out to be involved with Glion, nothing new there.
I do think Papa Ichinose was more likely killed than imprisoned if the Union is involved with Glion. We already know they don't actually give a crap about the spy in their ranks when Minato reported it, nor did they care about Sabimaru being captured by the Abyssalis Sisters (or what could happen to him for that matter). I can't see them caring about offing an alchemist or two they believe to have betrayed them.
The banishment/mind-wipe scenario would be a mercy.

Evidence that Astrology is Real (or maybe just coincidences? 👀)
I've been keeping track of Pluto transits in relation to my natal chart. Here's a recent list of things that I've experienced personally that seem to match what was happening in my life at the time.
When I graduated from college:
Transit Pluto was sextile my natal Boston 58221 when I graduated from college. Boston is where my school was. It was also conjunct Svyaztie 37556 (ties) and sextile Atropos 273 (cutting of ties, endings).
It was also conjunct the last name asteroid of my roommate and close friend from school too. She and I are still friends, though, so no cutting ties there
When my cousin got married/ quarantine:
Transit Pluto was semi-sextile Philagoria 274 (fond of assembly) when quarantine was in place. When it was ok to start meeting again, my family/relatives and I met even more often than we usually did pre-covid. We also all got together for a virtual and in-person wedding ceremony for my cousin. Lots of meeting up (safely, of course). My sibling, who was living away at the time, came back home too.
When my friend moved away:
Transit Pluto was trine my friend's name asteroid when we found out she was moving away.
When I started an animation class:
Transit Pluto was conjunct natal Neptune EXACTLY on the first day of 3D animation class. This was kind of an impulsive-ish decision for me, and I only found out about this transit after I started. Neptune has to do with film, illusion, arts, etc. It was a pretty big decision for me to even do this in the first place.
It's funny cause I also made a note three months earlier that I was thinking about animation and coding pretty seriously, and at this time, it was also very closely conjunct Neptune. But it went retrograde and then came back again for my first class.
Also, worth noting that my Neptune is in Capricorn in 5th conjunct my 6th house cusp. Animation (and coding) requires creativity (5th), but it is also highly technical, and you need a lot of patience (6th). I seriously thought about this as a career option (Capricorn). But it didn't happen 😕
Near the end of the course, I wanted it to end so bad because I had no real free time. Last day of class had transit Pluto sextile Eleutheria 567 (freedom, liberty).
When I first started writing about astrology:
Transit Pluto was square Coelum 15388 (heavens, sky) and square Stargazer 8958 (someone who looks at stars).
Thinking of making posts about "astrology evidence" from time to time.

I also love idol groups and would love to watch a concert with Idia- but if he starts gushing about a specific member or something I'd have to smoosh his face in my hands and be all "No. We both like idols, but you only like me, k? So no gushing over some girl in front of me, k? Cause that rouses my insecurities. I luv u, but plz no ❤️" I didn't realize how bad that sounds until after I finished typing it out. But like- if you're gonna gush over an idol, let me dress as one and gush over me instead 😭
Tumblr media
(referring to this post)
PLS i can imagine this happening so clearlyyy let me just *furious writing noises* :
idia was the one who got you into premo. after giving their albums a listen, you got hooked and now you go to premo concerts with him. this time, you're attending a live concert. as the concert starts up, you're arguing over which premo member is the best bc he thinks it's atropos but OBVIOUSLY it's clotho in your opinion- but he starts making heart eyes at atropos and you just gotta remind him that he has a whole ass living breathing partner next to him fjdskfj
you: idia, sweetie look at me, look at me.
idia: *literally drops his lightstick* wh-what- what's happening—?
you: i am your idol now. worship me.
[ it turned into a small drabble so. drabble below the cut hehe ]
and he's like ???? what ???? until a few weeks later you walk into his room and he starts screaming bloody murder bc "y-you can't just show up in atropos cosplay and nOT tell me about it—!! i'm losing health points as we speak- no, stand back, don't get closer ! uhm...t-tell ortho i need a rez-"
and idia faints. spectacularly. wonderfully. (he got so excited that his anemic-ass stood too quickly and wHABAM he blacked out) you catch him before he hits the ground, like the great partner that you are. two seconds later ortho bursts into the room and he's like "NII-SAN !! WHAT HAPPENED !!" and you shrug, idia settled into your arms, bc all you did is walk into the room in a costume. (you knew exactly what you did but it was fun to feign ignorance to see idia's reaction hehe)
oh and you don't forget to tell ortho that idia specifically requested a rez, so. yeah. ortho does something that looks suspiciously like he blasted a premo song in his ears. idia wakes up almost immediately, eyes snapping open. and he almost faints again bc your face was right in front of his. you were holding him. in your arms. YOU WERE HOLDING HIM BC HE FAINTED IN THE PREMO COSTUME- aaaaanndd ortho had to make him do breathing exercises to calm down jdfksjfk
@ the anonnie who sent this, sorry this ended up kinda. big. i just love bullying idia sm (lovingly ofc he's just so jfdksjf *squishes him like he's a nui*)

Village Necromancer - A Solo TTRPG Liveblog
Back when I was posting all of my journaling game playthroughs on Twitter, the first one I did was Village Witch by Eliot Silvarian. Today I'm playing a re-flavoring of that system called Village Necromancer by SmallTownCreepy. As a fresh-faced graduate of Atropos University, you are charged to set up a necromantic practice for your year-long residency. Will you succeed and find a place to call home? Or will you have to start anew next year? Only time will tell.
CW: This game has themes of death and dying.
How to Play
For this game, you'll need a d6 and a tarot deck.
The gameplay is divided into seasons, which each last 13 weeks. For each week, a tarot card is pulled from the deck for an event-based writing prompt. I will also be playing with the optional roll to roll a d6 to determine the outcome of the event (1-3: bad outcome, 4-6: good outcome). At the middle or end of the season, your necromancer can decide if they want to move villages or continue their practice where they are. Gameplay ends when you have gone through all 4 seasons, after which you move to the ending questions and decide whether or not your residency was a success.
Character Creation
Now it's time to build out our necromancer using some guiding prompts:
Name - Cordyceps, but he goes by Cordy
Pronouns - he/him
Appearance - he's just a little mushroom guy! Think of a mini-myconid from D&D or a mushroom veggieling if you're familiar with the Dragon Stew 5e supplement by Antonio Demico.
Clothing - Unlike what you would expect from a typical necromancer, Cordy likes to dress in warm colors like oranges, reds, and yellows.
Why a necromancer? - Being a necromancer runs in Cordy's mycelium. His family has always had an affinity for reanimating the dead, so Cordy is pursuing a family tradition.
What are your code of ethics? - Cordy does no harm to living creatures. He's a good boy who tries his best to help others.
What are your favorite necromantic spells? - Cordy loves to reanimate corpses with his own lil shroomy twist. You can tell which bodies he has revived based on the mushrooms sprouting on them.
World/Village/Residence Creation
Now time to flesh out our world! For the setting, I've chosen high fantasy.
After rolling a d6 to determine what kind of village we start out in, I got The Grasslands, where funeral pyres are common.
Now to answer some more prompts to define our residence within village. The prompts are kinda long, so I'll just bullet point my responses to the questions:
Cordy resides within the local cemetery, which is mostly made up of the graves of poor farmers.
Instead of having a traditional home, he likes to burrow into the soil to create a living space under the dirt (think of Rabbit's hole from Winnie the Pooh). He has spaced it a respectful distance away from the graves.
Cordy keeps a little garden of herbs and produce to share with the locals.
Meadowfield is your standard farming village. The houses are sparse among the rolling fields of crops, minus a small town center where your farmer's market takes place.
There is a dilapidated church not far from the cemetery that most of the villagers religiously attend.
Meadowfield is informally governed by a council of the farmers with the most land. The council is facilitated by the local priest, Rhys.
The villagers of Meadowfield, being a very religious and superstitious sort, are initially apprehensive towards Cordy's arrival.
The first person Cordy meets is Burke, and older gentleman who comes to the cemetary often to pay respects to his deceased wife, Mabel.
Season #1: Spring
More opening questions to start off the first season! The questions are once again a little too long to write them down word for word, but my responses will give you a general idea of the prompts:
Meadowfield has begun planting its spring crops, particularly potatoes, parsnips, green beans, cauliflower, and kale.
Meadowfield is made up of hardworking, dilligent people. Unfortunately this means they give themselves little time to celebrate the season of rebirth and renewal.
They're also so busy tending to their crops that they hardly ever take time to honor their dead. Most often, the deceased are cremated and their ashes are spread over the crops in hopes that they'll nuture the soil. You do, however, have some people that insist that their loved ones are buried in a traditional manner (much like Burke).
Cordy plans to show the people of Meadowfield that instead of working themselves to death while allowing themselves no pleasures, they should celebrate life while they still draw breath.
As far as the literal seeds he is planting, he is currently nurturing some strawberry and rhubarb plants for potential jams and pies.
Cordy is naive and stubborn enough to believe that he doesn't have to sacrifice anything in pursuit of his goals.
Now we can dive into the events for Spring! Let's hope we get some successful rolls!
Spring #1:
Event - A man cursed with immortality seeks your aid.
Dice result - 1 (fail)
---------------------
While there was no door to Cordy's residence, he could feel large footsteps rumbling through the ground. He emerged from the ground to find a large, ancient tree person hovering above his home.
The arboreal creature entreated the small fungal necromancer for his aid. They had traveled from a faraway forest because they had heard rumors that there was a practitioner of death in Meadowfield. Their request perhaps went outside of the parameters of Cordy's usual practice: they had lived for far too long and wished to pass on and create a fertile environment for their little seedlings to grow.
Cordy was conflicted. While he had promised to never trifle with the living, the tree person's begging tugged on his heartstrings. The mushroom boy wanted nothing more than to help a troubled soul in need, so he agreed to lend a hand.
Cordy was initially stumped as how to carry out this plan, but then an idea popped into his head. While his spores normally reanimated the dead, why couldn't they also fulfill the mushroom's natural purpose to decompose?
Cordy drew from the power of the mycelium to channel his spell spores. With a puff, they drifted over towards the tree creature. Cordy's chest puffed up with pride as he watched the mushrooms began to sprout from the bark as the tree person let out a contented sigh. But suddenly, the sigh turned into an agonized yell.
"It burns," the wooden creature cried, attempting to peel their own bark off of themself.
Before Cordy could reverse the spell, it was already too late. His spores had turned into a painful infestation, spreading rapidly. There was nothing the fledgling necromancer could do.
The tree person contorted into a painful, angular position and let out once last pained moan, their face forever frozen in a grimace. Their body had rotted from the inside out. They would never be able to properly provide for their sprouts now.
Cordy's first instinct was to dispose of the body within flames. But he couldn't bring himself to do so. Instead, the poor creature's dark, twisted frame would hang over the entrance to Cordy's abode for days to come, reminding the necromancer of his failure and his re-commitment to his code of ethics.
Spring #2:
Event - You hear an unsettling rumor in the village. What is it? Who is involved? Is the rumor true?
Dice result - 6 (pass)
-----------------------
One day, as Cordy was walking around the farmer's market to grab supplies, he heard two spinsters gossiping loudly as he walked by.
"Well I heard that Silas is intending to buy out the graveyard to expand his farm"
"Oh heavens, what are they going to do with all of those bodies?"
"Dig them up, I suppose. Probably light the pyres, you know."
"Oh poor Burke, he'll be so heartbroken..."
As the two woman chattered on, Cordy felt his mycelium grow cold. There was no way that could be. Where would he live and practice? Worse, how would his friend Burke be able to visit Mabel if she was no longer resting there? He had to get to the bottom of this rumor to see if it was true.
It was easy to find Silas' farm, as it was the most expansive in Meadowfield. Cordy hurriedly made his way to the farmer's homestead and knocked on his door. As Silas came out to greet him, the little mushroom lad began to barrage him with questions and pleas to not tear the graveyard down. With a chuckle and a sympathetic smile, Silas assuaged the necromancer's fears.
"I can see why you're worried, but not to worry, kiddo. I would never disrespect those folks like that. Your cemetery is safe. Ya know, I'm actually thinkin' of buyin' a plot over yonder by..."
As Silas began to ramble about his plans to increase his fields, Cordy breathed an internal sigh of relief. That would be the last time he believed such wild gossip.
Spring #3:
Event - A day of stillness, quiet, and self care. Do you gain a new perspective?
Dice result - 5 (pass)
------------------------
Business was virtually nonexistent for the recent necromancer graduate. The villagers were still wary of Cordy and his "dark arts." It gave Cordy lots of time to tidy up his home and tend to his crops.
Eventually, he started running out of things to do. He had to find alternate ways to keep himself entertained. Sometimes, he would go through the cemetery and read the headstones, imagining what the lives of the deceased buried beneath must've been like. Sometimes, he would go into town just to people watch. Eventually, even these activities began to grow stale.
It was another slow day in the graveyard when Cordy decided to do something he had never done before: settle somewhere quiet and practice meditating. He sat under a nearby shady tree and closed his eyes, feeling the spring breeze rustle his mushroom caps. He tried to empty his mind of all thoughts, but he couldn't help but drift back to thinking about the denizens of Meadowfield.
He had spent so much time these past three weeks trying to advertise his services to the people of the village, but all he had been met with was polite declines or outright disdain. He had hit a wall. How could he ever win over the hearts of the people of Meadowfield?
A revelation came to him: he couldn't brute force his way into swaying the hearts and minds of the villagers. He would have to slowly ingratiate himself into their community. He had to meet them at their level. Perhaps he could win them over by sharing his crops and the fare he could create from them? He could set up at the farmers market and converse with the local farmers. If they were less afraid of him, maybe they would be more likely to come to him in the future.
He would have to sacrifice his time and patience, yes. This would be the things he allowed to die to serve as compost for his plans. From this, he hoped something beautiful would grow.
Spring #4:
Event - Another Necromancer shows up in town and questions your skills
Dice result - 3 (fail)
---------------------
As Cordy was tending to his patch of crops, he was alerted by the appearance of arcane runes appearing on the ground nearby. He watched as a fiery portal opened up and a familiar figure emerged. It was Nespira, a red-skinned tiefling who also practiced the necromantic arts. Like Cordy, she was a recent graduate--top of the class, actually. What she was doing here, Cordy had no idea. It wasn't like they were particularly close.
"Ah, I had heard that their was another Atropos student who had set up a practice here," she said, her eyes sweeping the graveyard with a disdainful expression, "Meadowfield, huh? Hm. Certainly a choice."
As for Nespira, she explained that she had set up shop in Metropolia. The name was familiar to Cordy. He had never been, but he had heard it was the largest city in the land. According to Nespira, business had been booming for her.
"And what about you, Cordyceps? How many customers have you had so far?"
Cordy sheepishly held up a single finger, causing the tiefling necromancer to let out a haughty laugh.
"Oh that's a shame" Nespira said, feigning pity, "but I suppose it can't be helped. "
Her gaze then landed on the gnarled tree body that stood watch over Cordy's residence. She took a moment to study it before recognition spread across her face.
"So this must've been your only customer. A pity. Seems like you couldn't get the decomposition right. And such a simple spell too."
Nespira extended a single finger, necrotic energy swirling around it. Before Cordy could protest, a beam shot from her index finger. As it hit her target, the deceased tree creature slowly began to melt into a pile of black ichor. The mushroom boy's heart sank.
Nespira then chanted under her breath before another doorway of flames opened up before her. As she partially stepped through the portal, she turned and looked back at Cordy.
"Cheer up, Cordyceps. You can always try your residency again next year...if they don't call you back to the university, of course. You could certainly use the practice."
With a wink, the transportation spell closed behind her. All of the tears Cordy had been holding back began to spill onto his face. He would prove Nespira wrong. He had to.
Spring #5:
Event - You are visited by a village official. Is everything alright?
Dice result - 3 (fail)
----------------------
Cordy was in the process of backing a strawberry rhubarb pie to bring to the farmer's market when he felt a foot tapping gently near the opening to his home. Cordy tunneled up through the tunnel to find Rhys, the local priest of the old church.
"Hiya, Rhys!" Cordy said with a bow. "What can I do for ya? I got a pie in the oven if you wanna stay around for tea."
The clergyman's solemn expression did not shift. He bowed his head gently, his eyes looking at the ground rather than making contact with the mushroom lad's.
"Thank you for the kind gesture. However, I'm afraid I must decline. I am here strictly on business. The news is...not pleasant. I will keep it brief."
"The people of Meadowfield feel...uncomfortable with the presence of a necromancer in our community," Rhys continued. "The farmers put it to a vote and...well...I'm afraid I must ask you to leave our village."
Cordy felt like he had been hit in the chest with a ton of bricks. He tried to keep his composure, but he could feel his bottom lip quivering while holding back tears.
"I'm sorry for the short notice, but the villagers requested that you leave by tomorrow morning. If you will excuse me, I will give you time to gather up your belongings. Good luck on your journey, Cordy."
The priest departed, leaving Cordy alone. Cordy descended into his abode, sniffling as he began to pack up his things. As he was almost ready to depart, a timer dinged. His pie was ready. Cordy released the fire magic that was baking his dessert while he slowly removed it from its resting place, looking down at the lattice pattern he had placed on the crust with care.
Carefully, he wrapped up the baked good. Afterwards, he jotted a quick note. He emerged from his dirt hole and walked over to Mabel's headstone, setting the items down. He wanted to leave a gift and explanation for his departure to first and only friend in this town, Burke. He knew he would be by tomorrow to bring flowers to her grave, right on schedule.
With the last of his things packed, Cordy slung his bag over his shoulders and began walking down the dirt path. It was time to start over once again.
Village/Residence Creation #2
Because Cordy has been kicked out of Meadowfield after his unsuccessful tenure there, it's time to roll up and build out a new village. Here are the main points:
The village of Neverglades resides within a swamp, complete with bog mummies.
There is no official graveyard in Neverglades. The dead are given something akin to a Viking funeral: wrapped bodies are floated on a small boat and are torched by fire magic.
Instead, Cordy lives in a house on chicken feet stilts, much like the other denizens of Neverglades. The huts can travel across the murky marsh with ease, meaning neighbors can go directly to each other without ever touching the ground below.
Cordy's home is small and sparse, but he has a hammock he can hang from the tree branches so he can relax and enjoy some quiet time in the humid outdoors.
This place is more up Cordy's alley than Meadowfield. The villagers all have a quirky vibe that the budding necromancer can relate to. They are also not fearful of the dark arts.
The shops of Neverglades are run out usually more stationary huts by their residents. They are not in a centralized location, so one has to remember where each shop is and travel to them separately.
There is no unified body of worship. The denizens of Neverglades are more spiritual, preferring to commune with nature.
The village is ruled by an ancient hag known only as "The Mother"
Neverglades celebrates Cordy's arrival, as their last necromancer recently passed on.
The first person Cordy meets is actually The Mother, as she was the one to give him her blessing to move into the community.
Season #2: Summer
Opening questions answered to start the second season:
The citizens of Neverglades deal with the hot weather by taking frequent plunges into the water. It's not the most sanitary or safe, but it's the only way to beat the heat.
Neverglades hosts a huge celebration for the summer solstice.
Cordy is working hard this summer. Haunted by the failures of spring, he wants to prove that he has a place in his new community.
The cards for last season have been shuffled back into the deck. Let's see how summer plays out!
Summer #1:
Event - A villager hires you to reanimate their dying business
Dice result - 5 (pass)
----------------------
Cordy was unpacking the last of his belongings when he heard the creaking of another hut sidling up next to his. He scurried over to his front porch to spy a wild-haired, heavily pierced girl waving him down. She introduced herself as Chana and began to bemoan her plight.
She was the oldest creator and salesman of shrunken heads in Neverglades. What was perhaps an odd and even terrifying practice outside of the bog was commonplace here. As such, competition had begun to pop up, diluting the market. Chana expressed that if things didn't turn around soon for her, she would have to close up shop. She pleaded with the necromancer to help her get a leg up on her competitors any way he could.
Cordy pondered on how to help the girl. After all, he didn't possess any business acumen. But then, a quite literal idea popped into his head: why not reanimate a dying business by...well...reanimating the dead?
Cordy dug deep into his mycelium to create spell spores to overtake one of the shrunken heads. As mushrooms began to sprout through the eye sockets, the head gasped and cried out in a comically squeaky and indignant voice,
"Heya bud, what's the big idea?!"
Chana laughed long and hard. She asked if Cordy to create more of these, to which the necromancer agreed. Once he finished his task, Chana was beaming.
"Business is gonna be BOOMING after this! Thanks mister! I owe ya one!"
As she lept across the gap from Cordy's residence to her own, she waved heartily as her hut began to dislodge from the mire and trod away.
"If ya ever need anything, ya can rely on Chana! Ya hear that? Chana's got your back!"
At last, Cordy had successfully serviced his first customer.
Summer #2:
Event - You are woken by the sound of someone digging their own grave
Dice result - 3 (fail)
----------------------
It was shortly before sunrise before Cordy slowly awoke to a strange sound: the wet sloshing and slopping of mud. He sleepily stumbled out to his front porch to investigate the source.
Down in the swamp below, there was a giant, humanoid creature made of mud. They were digging through the water, tossing muck and mire behind them. Cordy hailed the mud mound.
"Lookin' for somethin'?" the tiny necromancer called down below, "How can I help ya?"
The creature of slop shook their head, pointing to the hole that was slowly filling in with mud once more.
"It is my time. I feel the earth calling me back. Please, leave me to my work."
"But wait!" Cordy cried out. "I can help you! Are you sick? Injured? I can help! If you pass on, I can bring you back!"
Once again, the humanoid shook their head, muck sloughing off the side of them as they did so.
"I have no need for your magics.," they rumbled. The earth....she beckons me. To her I must return. I beg of you, leave me to my duty."
Cordy began to stammer out protest, but the creature ignored it. Once they had cleared away a sizeable portion of the bottom of the bog, their body began to relax. They slowly began melting into the bog.
"Goodbye....goodbye....I am going home."
That day, Cordy sat in solitude for a long time, attempting to process what had occurred in front of him. He left with this lesson: no matter how tragic, the wishes of the living in regards to their demise were something to be respected and honored.
Summer #3:
Event - A young couple of star-crossed lovers want to fake their deaths to escape their families.
Dice result - 5 (pass)
-----------------------
It was the dead of night when Cordy was awoken by the sound of someone calling out for him. Rubbing the sleep out of his eyes, he stumbled towards the front porch to see what the fuss was about. The voice cried out once more, causing Cordy to turn his attention below. There he spotted a boat with a young man and woman inside, waving him down.
The couple introduced themselves as Julius and Ramona. They explained their plight: Julius was a noble and Ramona was a commoner from a kingdom not too far from Neverglades. After being told they could never be together, the lovers escaped and hatched a plan. They beseeched the necromancer for his aid: help them fake their deaths so they could slip away into anonymity. They left an obvious trail to the swamp so the search party would be able to find their decoys. Because of this, they didn't have much time and needed urgent assistance.
Cordy immediately got to work. He reached forth, calling forth mycelium to rapidly grow and expand into two roughly humanoid shapes. The gnarled forms looked almost like decayed corpses. Cordy explained that they should leave their top layer of clothing and possessions behind to aid the illusion before allowing the boat to float away. He offered to take them to the edge of the swamp via his movable home so they could make their escape. The couple gladly agreed, carrying out the next steps of the plan. Once the reached the clearing, they hurriedly thanked the necromancer before hopping off and running off into the distance hand-in hand.
Summer #4:
Event - You receive a bad omen. What form does it take? What do you think it’s warning you about? Does it come true?
Dice result - 5 (pass)
------------------------
The omen was so subtle at first that Cordy didn't notice it. While his chicken-footed home trekked its way through the bog one day, Cordy spied a large tree taken with rot. Although the main body of the plant was no longer alive, green baby branches still dotted the large branches. The mushroom lad thought nothing of it.
The second omen was more obvious. While laying in his hammock tied to the treetops the next day, he spotted a deceased bird, still shielding her eggs even in death. Feeling pity for the poor babies, the necromancer used his magic to revive the mother.
Bad luck comes in threes, and this was no exception. The day after, Cordy was sweeping his porch when he spotted a gruesome sight: a mother gator floating belly up in the water with her babies feasting upon her flesh. This time, Cordy couldn't bring himself to use his necromancy upon the corpse--they were already too far gone.
The puzzle pieces clicked together in Cordy's brain. All of these dead creatures had one thing in common: they were providers. Mothers.
The Mother.
She must be in danger.
Cordy quickly rushed through the mire to make it to The Mother's hut. When he arrived, he found her on her bed. She looked so sickly and frail--she was definitely nearing the end. Neverglades could not survive without her. Cordy had to act fast. He had no time to grab a medic.
The mushroom boy conjured up some healing spores and sprinkled them all over the dying leader. With a gasp, her eyes shot open. She slowly raised herself from the bed.
"My child," The Mother croaked, "You have done us a great service this day. We thank you. Neverglades thanks you."
Summer #5:
Event - A sleeping sickness strikes the village. Those suffering look like they have died but recover in a few days…if they haven’t been buried or cremated already.
Dice result - 1 (fail)
---------------------
Cordy was riding the high of last week's miracle. He was hailed a hero throughout the village and a celebration was held in his honor. He was so caught up in it all that the next tragedy flew under his radar.
It was only one or two people at first--a gentle snooze into a deep slumber, a deep slumber into nothing at all. Then it spread. Rapidly. Half of Neverglades was overtaken with what appeared a sleeping death. Chana, the shrunken head saleswoman who Cordy had become pals with, had been afflicted as well. The village made the difficult decision to dispose of the bodies before the plague spread to the remaining members.
Cordy pleaded with The Mother to try to let him perform his magic. He would be able to save these people. However, the hag could not be swayed.
"This is the only way to protect those we have left, my child."
Bodies were quickly being wrapped, placed on boats, and being prepared for the symbolic burnings. As people were distracted, Cordy nervously scuttled around to try and find Chana. If he could save her, perhaps the village would believe him.
His search took him some time, but at last, he was able to unwrap and find Chana. As he was preparing to perform a resurrection ritual, he heard her let out a yawn. Her eyes slowly blinked open, and she looked up at him with a confused expression.
"Oh hey little buddy, whatcha doin' here?"
Cordy's mycelium ran cold. These weren't deaths. These were victims of a sleeping sickness. A curable disease.
As Cordy ran to report his findings, he discovered that he was too late to save some of the villagers. Bodies were already being burned. Even though he acted as fast as he could, it wasn't enough.
Upon learning the truth, the denizens of Neverglades began working on reviving the remaining victims. Children were reunited with parents. Lovers reunited with lovers. However, what should've been a joyous occasion was solemn and morose. The smoke hung heavy in the air.
Summer #6:
Event - You find roadkill/dead animal that is fresh enough to reanimate.
Dice result - 5 (pass)
------------------------
It was a quiet week. No one came by Cordy's residence, nor did Cordy reach out to anyone. He and Neverglades were still reeling from the recent losses.
The only thing Cordy did that week was revive a small animal that he found. It was basic necromantic practice--the very first thing he learned to do at the university. It wasn't much, but it was enough to remind him of her purpose. He was a necromancer. He could save lives.
Summer #7:
Event - You see or are informed that there is a ghost nearby. It's the specter of a highwayman. Do you investigate?
Dice result - 3 (fail)
-----------------------
"Hey Corrrrrdy!"
The small mushroom boy heard a familiar cry outside of his hut. Across the way, he spied Chana, waving him down wildly. It was in the middle of the night--what could she possibly want at this hour?
"I saw a ghoooooost! You wanna come check it out?"
Normally, Cordy would excitedly agree to the proposition. He loved a good old-fashioned spooky adventure. However, he was still haunted by all of the deaths from two weeks ago. Ghosts only served to remind him of his failures.
It broke his heart to see Chana so crestfallen after he turned down his plans. As her home trudged away, Cordy crawled back into bed. Sleep did not come easily to him that night.
Summer #8:
Event - A messenger on a skeleton horse brings you a small package.
Dice result - 6 (pass)
-----------------------
A loud, mournful neigh was not what Cordy expected to hear in the middle of the swamp. It was accompanied by the sound of a splashing gallop. Cordy had to check out the ruckus.
Outside of his abode, he saw a skeletal horse pull up to a stop right next to his home.
"Delivery!" the messenger called out.
Cordy lowered the ladder for the deliveryman. After climbing up and handing off the package, the courier saddled back up and rode off.
Cordy recognized the handwriting on the outside of the package--his mother's. He excitedly tore into the mail. Inside was a heartwarming note congratulating him on being almost halfway through his residency. His family was so proud of him and couldn't wait for him to return to visit soon. Also attached was a bag of Cordy's favorite mushroom tea.
As he brewed and drank in the earthy, umami flavor of the tea, nostalgia rushed over him. It was nice to hear from family and be reminded of home. He hoped that he could continue to make them proud.
Summer #9:
Event - You catch kids sneaking around at night
Dice result - 2 (fail)
----------------------
Night had fallen, and Cordy was preparing for bed. Just as he was about to tuck in, he swore he heard the faintest hint of giggling. He grabbed a lantern and went outside to investigate the noise.
He scanned the horizon and couldn't find anything. But then, giggling once more. He peered down before and found what appeared to be three small figures playing in between the chicken legs of his residence.
Cordy excitedly waved down to them and asked them if they would like some tea. Startled, the children looked up at him with large eyes. They began screaming and running away.
Their fear was a painful reminder of what it was like living in Meadowfield.
Summer #10:
Event - There’s trouble in the village due to a misunderstanding. Do you get involved?
Dice result - 2 (fail)
----------------------
Despite calling Neverglades his home, Cordy lived on the outskirts of the tiny town. As such, gossip hardly ever made it to his doorstep. But this time, he heard the news of unrest in the village. From what he could gather, a disagreement had broken out between The Mother and another member of the village.
Although Cordy was normally the type to poke his nose into business that wasn't his, he did not feel his usual drive to help. He was still thinking about the burning bodies. The fearful children. How could he show his face in the village right now? Instead, he decided to continue to huddle up in his home. He would wait for all of this to blow over.
Summer #11:
Event - You find buried treasure. Is it the usual of gold or something more unusual?
Dice Result - 3 (fail)
-----------------------
Cordy was foraging for cattails in the swamp--he had heard from one of the locals that the roots were particularly delicious this time of year. He was trudging through the muck when he felt his toe stub against something hard. After muttering some curses under his breath, Cordy began to dig through the mud to figure out what it was.
His eyes sparkled with delight as he pulled out what appeared to be a chest. Buried treasure! What secrets were hidden inside?
Cordy pried open the treasure chest and peeked inside. Nothing a couple of silvers and coppers. Boring. Cordy returned the chest to where it belonged and continued about his business.
Summer #12:
Event - You discover a berry hedge near your residence. Are they edible or poisonous? How do you know?
Dice result - 2 (fail)
---------------------
After collecting and cooking up cattails successfully, Cordy had developed a newfound appreciation for the art of foraging. He wanted to continue pursuing this new hobby. Besides, it gave him the excuse to stay out of the village. His guilt still prevented him from stepping foot there.
While exploring, Cordy discovered a berry bush near the edge of the swamp. The small mushroom's mouth watered at the thought of biting into one of the delicious, juicy fruits. Cordy happily plucked a few berries from the shrub. As he returned home, he thought of all the ways he could utilize them in his cooking before just deciding on eating them raw. Along his walk, he popped a couple into his mouth.
However, once he returned to his home, he felt his stomach churn. He began to feel lightheaded. Uh-oh. Perhaps he should've investigated the berries further before eating them. It seemed as though he had unwittingly poisoned himself.
Luckily, he could conjure up a few healing spores to cure his ailment, but he still spent the rest of the day sulking in bed.
Summer #13:
Event - You are challenged to a game of chance. Do you make a wager? Use your D6 to see how you do in three rounds.
Dice result - 1 (fail)
---------------------
As the end of the summer season drew near, Cordy pondered what his next move would be. He was officially halfway through his residency. Was Neverglades where he wanted to plant his roots? He felt his heart twinge. He didn't want to leave--this place had been so accepting towards him, and he felt like he did some good work here. However, he was still shaken by the sleeping sickness incident. Cordy was conflicted.
As he was wrestling with his thoughts, he once again heard the familar, chipper voice of Chana hailing him. Stepping out onto his porch, he found her and another individual who he hadn't met before.
Chana introduced the mysterious figure as Jack. According to her, Jack was an expert card player, so she figured they could all get together to play a game or two.
Although Cordy didn't want to participate, he felt bad for blowing Chana off for the past few weeks. Therefore, he agreed to play.
"So whatcha betting?" Jack asked with a sly smile.
Cordy was a little taken aback. He didn't realize they were playing with wagers.
"Oh...uh...I'll just play for fun," he offered with an embarrassed smile.
But in his mind, he decided to make a bet with himself: win this hand, and he'll stay in the Neverglades. Overcome the guilt he had been wrestling with and stay with his friends. Lose, and he'll pack up and start over. It was all or nothing.
As he pushed all of his makeshift tokens into the pot, Cordy bit his lip nervously. It all came down to this.
The card was flipped and revealed: total bust. Round lost.
Although Cordy was wracked with sadness at his lost, he knew the fates had spoken.
It was time for his tenure in the Neverglades to come to a close.
Village/Residence Creation #3
Although I'm heartbroken that Cordy will no longer continue living in the Neverglades, I feel like with the way the dice rolled this season, it makes sense for the story. So that means it's time to hit the drawing board and create another village. Here are the highlights of our new place of residence:
Sirensong is a stormy seaside town on a rocky cove, where water burials are common.
Cordy lives in an cave right on the shore, rumored to be a former thieves' hideout. Although it is not a graveyard, it is littered with bones from creatures and people alike.
The furnishments are minimal. No garden like he had in Meadowfield. No wraparound porch like he had in Neverglades.
Sirensong has a somber air about it. The mood of the villagers matches the dour weather and surroundings.
The buildings in Siresong are made from driftwood from ships that have crashed along its shores.
Because it is a port town, there is an open air bazaar with many traders selling wares from across the ocean. It is the most lively aspect of the town.
There is a temple on the highest point of the village overlooking the sea. Religion is not a joyous custom in Sirensong. The denizens worship the sea fearfully, appeasing it with gifts and sacrifices.
The mayor of the village is Robert Morrow, a stern retired sailor. Villagers whisper that he lost his whole crew at sea, turning him into the solemn man he is today.
The citizens are apathetic towards Cordy's arrival. Like the tide, visitors come and go, never staying for long. They are not optimistic that he will remain.
The first person Cordy meets is Marcus, one of the market vendors who tries to maintain an upbeat attitude in the overwhelmingly morose atmosphere of Sirensong.
Season #3: Fall
Here are the opening questions answered for this season:
The sea offers little in return this season. The villagers have no harvest to celebrate.
In an effort to quell the ocean's displeasure, the people of Sirensong give up what little possessions they have to the waves. Even the dead are offered up, with the people hoping that providing the wildlife nourishment will increase nature's bounty.
Much like Sirensong, Cordy's harvest is nonexistent. He has sacrificed a place he loved and called home to move to this gloomy town.
Time to reshuffle and start the events for this season!
Fall #1:
Event - You are offered a new path in life by a strange hooded figure. Do you take them up on it?
Dice result - 4 (success)
--------------------------
Cordy had not expected to receive any visitors yet. He had yet to advertise his services, as he was still in the process of unpacking and setting up shop. However, a visitor came to him unannounced. Cordy only spotted them out of the periphery of his vision. Their footsteps made no sound and they said nothing to reveal their presence. Cordy was also silent in response, eying the nondescript person up and down. Who was this? What did they want with him?
The cloaked figure extended a bony hand and called out in a raspy voice.
"Young necromancer, I offer you a new path. The true path. Give up your foolish magicks. Offer yourself to the sea. She will reward you generously in her depths. Come, take my hand. I will show you the way to enlightment."
But Cordy stood his ground and shook his head. He knew his purpose in life, and it was not sacrifice himself to the waves. He still had so much to give this village--to show them the joy of life.
Although he could not read the visitor's face, Cordy felt their aura darken. The hand retracted coldly.
"Very well...you will see the truth soon enough."
Cordy blinked and the figure vanished. A chill ran down the necromancer's spine. A foreboding welcome to Sirensong--hopefully this would not set the tone for his time here.
Fall #2:
Event - You have a dream of the location of a magical artifact. What is it? Where is it? Do you retrieve it?
Result - 1 (fail)
-----------------
As sleep took Cordy this evening, he received a dream. More accurately, a vision. Swirling out of the fog of his mind was the image of an amulet with a glowing, azure-tinted jewel. The vision flashed again and he saw a grotto containing piles upon piles of abandoned treasure, the necklace laying in its midst.
He felt himself awake, although not entirely. He felt himself rise from bed as he felt a tug towards the back of the cavern. His mind was no longer control of his body--he was sleepwalking.
He lurched along, entering unexplored reaches of his cavernous home. After walking what felt like hours through the labyrinthine passages, he arrived at the destination he saw in his dream. Although there was mountains of untold riches--enough for Cordy to live comfortably for the rest of the days--he ignored them entirely. His purpose was singular: find the amulet. He kneeled at the pile of treasure and began to dig methodically through the gold and trinkets until the necklace was in his clutches.
Another compulsion overtook him: he must place the necklace around his neck. As he did so, he pulled the jeweled centerpiece close to his ear. His mind was filled again--this time with quiet, muffled singing.
Oh, how the song was so beautiful--but oh so distant. Too distant. The enthralled mushroom boy simply had to get closer.
He began to make his way back from whence he came--that's where the enchanting tune seemed to be coming from. As he did so, the melody began to gradually grow louder. He exited the mouth of the cave, and the singing swelled into a crescendo. But still, it was not enough. He needed to be even nearer. And there was only one way to do so: go into the sea.
And so, he walked. The waves lapped around his ankles. Then, his knees were submerged. He continued, the water now coming up to his waist. Although logic pleaded with him to turn back, the cries were drowned out by the enrapturing melody. The saltwater now came up his chin. Forward. Forward. He must press forward. Finally, the top of his head descended into the deep.
The night passes silently. Dawn approaches, but Cordy does not emerge. The poor boy had succumbed to the Jewel of the Siren's Song.
The tide comes and goes in Sirensong, and life continues on.
Ending
While we haven't reached the end of the seasons, I feel like I should cut the game here. Although I am sad for Cordy's misfortune--the dice and cards seemed to be working against him the whole game--it feels narratively appropriately for his story to end here. However, endings are only temporary for necromancers, right?
The game does have some wrap-up questions, however, I am opting to skip them for this conclusion. Curious about what they are? Looks like you'll have to check out the game for yourself ;)
Final Thoughts
I was worried that this game would have been too similar to my experience playing Village Witch, however, the flavor was unique enough to separate the two games. I'm glad I opted to use the dice roll rule--it really helped me shape how I answered each prompt. Next time I play, I'll try not to be so morbid and make it through all of the seasons (because yes, I'll definitely want to play this game again).
I know this is a long one, but thanks for reading! I hope to be back soon with another solo game to explore.

-I really like your outfit, it's super cute and comfy looking.
-Are we getting rival magazines?
-Cryptozoology~!
-Unfortunately a field littered with pseudoscience and sensationalist television, but definitely no less legitimate a science in the Kamen Rider verse than alchemy.

-"Come fight me, you vermin."
-"Gladl- wh- hey!"
-"I called dibs~! Remember~?"
-Oh hell yeah, Lachesis Rider.
-I see Dread's power doesn't affect them negatively at all. As expected.

-"Kudoh Rinne. I'm gonna smash your bug boyfriend into paste."
-X-Rex wants to know....
-"Come eat me instead~!"
-Manabe-san's had quite a wild day. First he has a depression walk over his journalistic integrity, then he gets eaten by a dinosaur, then he's stuck wallowing over his poor daughter, and now this kid's inviting him to probe his mind.

-Hi X-Rex :)
-Gonna leave us off on a cliff hanger, eh?
-Ohhhhh, I don't mind! I got a lot of what I wanted from this run of episodes, so... I can only hope Clotho gets to cause all the carnage she wants even with Hotaro trouncing her.
-Oh shit, Rinne/Atropos duel, X-Wizard cameo, and form debut battle?
-Going a mile a minute next week!
-KAJIKI SERVES?????
-The legends are true...
-No wonder Kaguya made him his butler in the A.R. World.

explaining background lore that i probably will explain in the golden ghosts but i might as well talk about here!
today we’ll talk about the protégé system in the covens! the idea is pretty basic but i thought it would be a good way to introduce the new characters i spent hours coming up with so here’s a short explanation. remember in eda’s requiem how raine took over from scooter crane? well, that’s the job of a protégé, to take over from a coven head if they retire or die or disappear under mysterious circumstances
there are protégés to every coven head, even the small covens, because you always need a back up person, but there are really only ten protégés we’ll focus on in the au
the first two protégés i’m going to talk about are the two that already exist. raine whispers is the protégé to scooter crane of the bard coven, a fact established already so, i won’t go too far into them. then the second one is certainly not canon compliant but the protégé to darius is alador blight! he’s no longer employed at blight industries in this au but it certainly exists in this au in case you’re worried. why is he here? simply because it’s funny okay, i really want darius and alador to be annoyed at each other a bunch because i say so.
and now, on to the original characters! first we have the protégé to lilith, zara alpin! they’re a huge nerd really. she really loves math and calculations and is constantly just geeking out with lilith about architecture (more of the mathematical aspects on their behalf but still) zara uses she/they pronouns and is about 29
the protégé to hettie cutburn of the healing coven is victor aesculapius! he’s around college age and uses he/him pronouns. a pathetic wet rat of a man, victor is based on victor frankenstein from frankenstein. he really’s focusing on raising the dead during his time in the coven system and he’s doing great work
the protégé to eberwolf is jasmine (jazz) airedale! jasmine owns five dogs, they’re named marcy, mabel, anne, molly, and sasha and they love to hang out with eberwolf. jazz is pretty nice and is dating choux, the potions coven protégé. she’s around thirty five and uses she/her pronouns
the protégé to mason pykrete is henry brick. certified himbo. someone probably even got him a certificate and he brags about it because he doesn't know what it means. he puts it on his business cards. he’s very friendly but is frequently called in to take care of things due to his strength both in construction magic and physical matters. henry uses he/him pronouns and is in his early forties
the protégé to adrian graye vernworth is earl somnus! earl is a master illusionist. he figured out a way to see into dreams and create illusions in them which he uses to the benefit of the coven system. sometimes he makes dream illusions on accident which is why no one will ever want to have a sleepover with him. he’s a pretentious illusionist just like adrian which means, they are constantly bickering. earl uses he/him pronouns and is around the same age as adrian, the both of them being in their late thirties.
osran of the oracle coven’s protégé is rowan atropos. that guy (gender neutral) who likes to tell you when and how you'll die and is super annoying about it. just there to tell people things they don't wanna hear. rowan uses they/them pronouns and is in their early twenties
the protégé to terra snapdragon is coral nerius. coral is a demon with horns and they grow different flowers from them every day (each incredibly toxic) she looks like a nice and calm individual with the flowers and flowing white robes but they are big on violence and murder and poison. coral uses they/she pronouns and is in their early thirties
and lastly, vitmir of the potions coven’s protégé is choux newteye. choux is a baker and all around nice fellow. they love making healing potions and helping people. they are a demon with baleen which they use to strain potions. choux is in their late twenties and they use they/them pronouns.
as always, feel free to send in questions about any of the protégés or the au

----- Transcript Part 2 ----- (part 1 here)
Crewel: Moving on: Ignihyde Dorm. Based on the world of Hercules. The housewarden, Idia, is an introvert, who stays inside his dorm room a lot. As I’m sure many people have noticed, there are plushies on top of the bookshelf in his room based on “Pain” and “Panic” from the Hercules movie.
Kalim: That’s a point that can make you smile.
Crewel: You really have to look closely. And now, Villains Quiz! Who told Hades, the god of the land of the dead who was vying for Zeus' position, that he would lose if he fought Hercules? This one might be a bit difficult, so let’s do multiple choice. a) adorable angels, b) the fates, or c) beautiful mermaids?
Kalim: I am going to have to answer this based on a hunch.
Crewel: The people who told him that he would lose…it’s because they knew he would lose
Kalim: They know…they know. And that means it was fate!
Crewel: And the answer is…?
Kalim: The answer is B!
Crewel: Good boy!
Kalim: You’re very kind
Crewel: The Fates: Clotho, Lachesis and Atropos can see the past, present and future. And now, moving onto the final question.
Kalim: I’ve been a pretty “Good Boy” thus far.
Crewel: Yes. You’ve already surpassed the goal. But let’s try to get as many correct as possible. Last: Diasomnia Dorm. Inspired by Sleeping Beauty. The housewarden, Malleus Draconia, is a descendent of fairies, and is one of the strongest magic-users in the world. He is conspicuous even at Night Raven College and, due to his particular aura, other students keep their distance from him. The player-character refers to him as “Tsunotarou”, though, and he is kind to them.
Kalim: Looking at him, all there is to say really is “Tsunotarou”. He’s got horns (tsuno) after all.”
Crewel: The player character really isn’t afraid of anything.
Kalim: Malleus himself was surprised
Crewel: This is what the outside of Diasomnia Dorm looks like. There are briars all along the walkway to the entrance. And now, the final Villains Quiz! What is the name of the raven that serves Maleficient, the witch who cursed Princess Aurora? This is hard.
Kalim: But, option C: Diago? Maybe that was based on Iago? So…I think C is wrong. That’s us. Diablo or Raven…which one do you think it is?
Crewel: Raven sounds a lot like “Raven”. (this is hard to explain but the Japanese-language-pronunciation of the English-word "raven" is close to "reibun", but choice B is written as "reiban", which is closer to the American pronunication of the word "Raven", so Itou is trying to draw the connection between the two pronunciations of the same word for Furuta)
Kalim: RAVEN!
Crewel: Wait wait wait wait wait
Kalim: I was so sure that that’s what it was. What does “Diablo” mean?
Crewel: Something sounds kind of magical about “Diablo”
Kalim: I think it’s B!
Crewel: Incorrect.
Kalim: Diablo really does sound magical—the perfect name for Maleficent’s partner
Crewel: “Raven” is the name of the raven owned by the evil queen in Snow White.
Kalim: Well it’s a raven, so it’s not like I wasn’t close…
Crewel: Unfortunately, that was incorrect. But, in our last episode, we said that you would receive a present for getting at least four answers correct. So you have succeeded! You got 5 correct answers out of 7 questions, so you will be receiving some Kalim merchandise. And, apparently, I am also going to get a present as well, for my role as the MC of this show. Ah, I have to go get it myself? A Qposket Crewel! Thank you! I am going to display it.
Kalim: Let’s open them! Oh, it’s great! What do you think?
Crewel: Yes, cute and yes, cool. Shall I hold it up?
Kalim: Look at the back, too!
Crewel: They’re very detailed. And now—we are out of time. We have now completed the quiz that introduced the seven Disney movies that inspired the dormitories in the game. How was it?
Kalim: I’ve seen all the movies, of course, but there were parts that I forgot, so I think that rewatching them would make the game even more enjoyable.
Crewel: This was Itou Kento and
Kalim: Furuta Kazuki.
Crewel: Let’s meet again.
Both: Good boy!!

Chapter 7: Stardust Falling
"Sebastian, where are you taking me?" Atropos's hand was soft within my grasp, holding mine so comfortably like it was meant to be there.
Turning to look over my shoulder at her, I couldn't help the skipping of my heart at the small smile that was held on her curious confused face. Her hair was pushed back, except for the loose waves that threatened to fall forward with each step we took down the stairs leading to the boat house. Grey eyes almost shimmered silver beneath the moonlight, eyes that are like a breath of fresh air that makes me want to look into them and drown in their depths.
The time she had spent away from me, it had made me realize just how lonely a person can be. Sure, Ominis had kept me company, and we did have an interesting Christmas, rekindling our close friendship. But even in the short time I've known Atropos, she's made such an impact on my life, that it felt strange to not have her there. I had found myself making comments that I knew would make her laugh, only to find the laughter too absent along with her. And despite me formally courting her since the start of our sixth year, I realized we hadn't done much together, just the two of us. I'm not even sure if I even took her on a date that wasn't to places we've already been. Then it came to me.
She never got to ride in the boats as every first year does.
"It's a surprise Atty, and it'll be worth the wait, I promise." I stop just before the doors to the boat house, turning to her with a grin. "You trust me, right?"
Atropos pauses as she looks up at me, and nods with her brows pulled together. "Of course, I trust you, Sebastian. Why wouldn't I?"
Warmth blossomed in my chest at her words, my heart increasing its beating as I squeezed her hand and answered her. "Then close your eyes."
And without hesitation, her eyes close and I guide her inside the boat house, her hand holding onto mine tightly.
"Three steps down, don't worry, I'll catch you if you fall."
A smile graced her lips as a small laugh escaped. "You'd let me fall so you could catch me?"
"So long as you're falling for me-" I grin as she steps off the last step, guiding her towards the boat that Garreth had helped me set up. "Alright, I suppose you can look now, or you could let me carry you for a moment."
Her eyes peel open, and her breath hitches as she looks down at the boat.
Ominis had suggested a picnic in the courtyard or even in the Undercroft, but I figured why not in a boat? With a small basket filled with sweets from Honeydukes, and a bottle of butter beer from Sirona. I had wanted to do more, but with the limited time before class started up again. And with the constant friends stealing my girlfriend, it was the best I could do. A small breeze brought off the smell of the lake and the freezing temperature of its depths. I cursed myself as I realized I had forgotten to bring a blanket with me for our date.
"It's perfect Sebastian." Atropos exhales with a warm smile, her eyes turning to meet mine.
I grin whilst taking off my Slytherin cloak, draping it across her shoulders. "Good, because it's not over just yet."
"Really? I had figured the boat was all of it." And I teasingly glare at her as I step into the boat, offering her my hand.
As she takes a step into the boat, I pull her in, causing her to let out a startled gasp. But I caught her, pulled her against me, and kissed her deeply. Her fingers curled around me, and her skin warmed. I could faintly feel her heartbeat increasing as her breath caught in her throat and the knowledge that I made her feel like this. There is no greater pleasure.
Pulling back, we both inhale deeply and I breathe her in. Her eyes twinkled like the stars as she stared at me with such adoration that it warmed my heart.
"Don't worry Sweetheart. I'm just getting started." I whisper breathlessly, and her cheeks go red as she presses her lips together.
We pull apart and take a seat in the boat, her hands fiddling with the cuff of my cloak, merlin she was adorable.
With a wave of my wand, our boat date begins its journey out of the boat house, and onto the lake. My eyes rarely stray from her figure as she smiles brightly, her eyes shimmering as I cast a spell Garath had taught me. In a burst of magic, a firework sets off, and I curse at the loud explosion that erupted from it. However, my anger at Garreth for tricking me slowly melts away as Atropos stares at the falling sparks in awe.
It may be cliche, but I couldn't care less. But I wanted time to freeze, so I could capture this moment forever. The glow of the falling sparks illuminated her, making her seem like a goddess coming to life. The sparks that had landed were floating in the water around us, and a few landed in her hair. They were harmless, and I knew I had to thank Garreth the next time I saw him. They shimmer brightly in her hair, almost mimicking the stars and constellations. I was awestruck, gobsmacked, staring at her like how a mooncalf stares at the moon.
Her giggle broke my daze, our eyes meeting as I focused again.
"What?" I ask, and she leans forward with her arm stretched toward my face.
"They're in your hair." She whispers as her fingers thread through my hair, combing it gently.
I grin and lift my hand towards her soft waves, "Speak for yourself, your hair is littered with them."
We pause as our eyes connect, and the breath gets lodged in my throat as her hand slowly curls around the nape of my neck.
But then her knee knocks the bottle of butterbeer overboard, and we jump apart, which rocked the boat. The moment was broken as we made eye contact, and burst out laughing.
-
"Did you just get back? You stayed out rather late for our first night ba-" Poppy freezes as she opens her curtains as Atropos walks toward her bed with a grin on her face.
"Atropos?"
"Hmm?"
"You're still wearing Sebastian's cloak."
"Oh, Merlin's beard! I knew I forgot something!"
-
Ominis knew what he felt, and he knew that it would never be. He told himself over and over, it wouldn't happen, that she was with Sebastian. And yet, as Sebastian sneaked into the common room, Ominis felt the all too familiar pulling of strings in his heart. He knew he was doomed.
When he had first met Atropos, his thoughts lingered on Sebastian telling her about the Undercroft, and how quick she was to defend Sebastian. A part of him had wondered about her when he had heard the whispers of the new fifth year, wondering what they might be like. And when he heard about the troll attack and how they had defeated it, he thought they were just trying to get attention. Even though they had practically all the attention with them being the new fifth year.
But then, his whole opinion of her changed after the events in the Scriptorium. How she solved the puzzles with ease and found the last remaining words of his Aunt. He was glad to have the closure of knowing what had happened to her until it took a turn for the worst. They were trapped, and the only way to move forward was to use an unforgivable curse, Crucio.
Sebastian had the nerve to ask him to cast the curse on one of them as if he had forgotten how Ominis felt about all dark magic. And standing by his beliefs, he said no, saying that one of them had to do it. A part of Ominis wanted a reason to dislike Atropos, not trusting her because of how little he knew about her. He wanted a reason to be able to push her away, to stop Sebastian from going too far. Yet she continued to surprise him.
She denied learning the curse, and willingly let herself be another victim of the torturing curse. Ominis's skin crawled at how quickly Sebastian cast the curse, how he did it with such ease. It made him wonder if Sebastian had been keeping secrets from him. Atropos had fallen to the ground, and Ominis was almost sick from her screams. How he could remember the feeling of the curse being cast on him when he was younger. The sound of his Father sneering down at him for not casting the curse on a muggle, and the silence of his mother's disappointment.
By the time the door had opened, Ominis was stunned by the way they staggered to their feet, knowing how weak they were feeling. He felt relief slowly budding in his system as he heard them pulling out a Wiggenweld.
Ominis felt sick to his stomach as they pushed forward, and ignored the fact that they had just been under the Cruciatus curse. How they had just been on their knees in such intense agony not even a minute ago. But he wouldn't say anything, wanting to get out of the Scriptorium as fast as he could. And then they had found a book from Salazar Slytherin himself and Sebastian's excitement of the discovery before they left. Ominis was disappointed with Sebastian's willingness to be involved with the dark arts. And he had a feeling that if Sebastian didn't stop, something bad would happen.
So, he made them promise to never use dark magic again. And they both did. Atropos even admitted that she had gotten her fill of the dark arts, and didn't want anything to do with it.
That alone made Ominis feel better, until it all went wrong, yet again.
Sebastian was certain that he could find a cure for Anne when no one else could. But his obsession with using the dark arts to try and achieve a cure was getting out of hand. And Ominis was livid when he followed Sebastian, only to find that Sebastian was dragging Atropos along with him.
Yet again, Ominis overheard Sebastian using an unforgivable and offering to teach her. Atropos, however, declined again.
Sebastian was certain that this relic he had found in the catacombs was going to help him find the cure for Anne. The relic was dark magic, and with dark magic, everything will go wrong.
When Ominis had gotten word from Anne about Sebastian's sudden change in behavior, he became nervous and could only turn to Atropos. In hopes that she might be able to stop Sebastian before Solomon got involved. But as she arrived, she told Ominis what Solomon had told her if she or Sebastian had anything to do with dark magic again. And Ominis had no choice but to leave her in hopes to get to Professor Black before Solomon could.
Unfortunately, he learned of Solomon's death before he could go to Professor Black. Learning that Sebastian had cast the last Unforgivable curse, Avada Kedavra, and killed his Uncle.
Ominis supposed that truly the moment that their friendship was damaged, nearly torn apart entirely. It would have been if they had turned Sebastian in for what he had done. Atropos had convinced him that it wouldn't be fair for Anne to lose her brother and Uncle; not to mention that Sebastian would live with the guilt for what he had done for the rest of his life.
After that, Ominis felt different about Atropos. Especially when he learned about what had happened with Ranrok and Professor Fig. She told him about her ability later on in their fifth year before the year ended, and Ominis realized that she wasn't someone to be trifled with. Yet, she was so kind, she helped so many different students without asking for anything in return. How she managed to go the entire year without actually wearing the assigned uniform, was a mystery to him.
"Ominis, remind me to thank Garreth tomorrow. The man's a genius." Sebastian stated as he collapsed face-first into his bed beside Ominis's.
Omins paused as he turned his head towards Sebastian, a frown present on his lips.
"Sebastian, where's your cloak?"
He lifted his head and glanced down at his vest, noting that his cloak was in fact missing. But then a mischievous grin spread across his face as he quickly sat up with a bounce.
"I believe my Sweetheart has it, it was rather chilly out, so as I am a gentleman I gave it to her to keep her warm. Oh, Ominis you should have seen her- she was breathtaking."
Blinking slowly, Ominis nodded. "I see."
"Sorry-"
"No need, I know what you meant."

supernatural s6e17 my heart will go on (w. eric charmelo, nicole snyder)
the sheer number of plotlines they're bringing up in the recap! jo and ellen, angel drama, bobby and rufus, jim beaver's questionable acting as evil ear worm. are we gonna wallow in everyone we've gotten killed's deaths
this is very final destination. like, the wood holding up the very heavy garage door for no reason. obviously it's gonna kill him somehow.
good sibling dumbassery there with the rock paper scissors but uh. sam with paper and being surprised at dean's scissors??? what is going on
Tumblr media
well, obviously something very hinky, mustang and all. but not only is ellen here but she's got like. obvious makeup and a blowout. but she's been huntin with jo. again, looks lovely, but too much for the character.
(every episode that doesn't mention sam's wall since hell spilled over makes my eye twitch)
psst the mustang is totally a sexier car than the impala which looks great from the front but is just... so... long. sexy quotient decreases, i don't make the rules
i like bobby and ellen together even if it doesn't make a ton of sense (he's got nearly 20 years on her), she's not gonna put up with him being an ass
Tumblr media
DEAN Are you okay?
ELLEN Aw, honey, you're sweet. You know me. I just worry about you boys.
DEAN Yeah, well.
🥲
they've got a nicer-than-usual hotel/motel/holiday inn too
BALTHAZAR Oh, uh, sorry, uh. You have me confused with the other angel – you know, the one in the dirty trenchcoat who's in love with you. I... don't care. Goodbye, boys.
first the profound bond, now balthazar* is outing him. i don't think cas is ever around enough to really have them show this, but i feel like the show is enthusiastic about telling us how cas feels about dean lol
Tumblr media
funny since i had just taken a screenshot of bobby's regular sign a few episodes back, not self service with ellen apparently
kinda miserable to see bobby and the boys have more of a support system to have to wipe it all away to fix the timeline.
DEAN What'd she look like?
SAM Kind of like a librarian.
DEAN Your kind of librarian or my kind of librarian?
SAM Well, she was wearing clothes, if that's what you mean.
so dumb but i laughed nonetheless. lot of sibling banter this episode. they seem a little happier in this universe 🥴
Tumblr media
SAM What did we do?
CASTIEL Nothing of import – just the tiny matter of averting the Apocalypse and rendering her obsolete. I think maybe she's a little irritated about that. And then you go and dangle yourselves in front of her...
i have read only a little destiel and when he pops up in my regular reading, but again, he's funny! unexpected! especially with how he is written in some stuff (reminds me of how [a lot of] people write adam in HEU)
Tumblr media
CASTIEL Balthazar has a weapon that will work against her.
DEAN Of course he does. Yeah. Boy, that guy's just got it covered, doesn't he? You need new friends, Cas.
CASTIEL I'm trying to save the ones I have, Dean.
dean doesn't know what to do with that, apparently
ATROPOS Bull crap. This isn't about some stupid movie. He's under your orders. You sent him back to save that ship.
CASTIEL No, I didn't. Why would I?
ATROPOS Oh, maybe because you're in the middle of a war and you're desperate? Come on. This is about the souls.
CASTIEL You don't know what you're talking about.
ATROPOS That angel went and created 50,000 new souls for your war machine.
CASTIEL You're confused.
ATROPOS No. You can't just mint money, Castiel. It's wrong...It's dangerous... And I won't let you.
i am also confused. that sounds lowkey evil and i don't understand how more souls would help. i thought the fighting was just angel v angel?
(wiki)
Dean drives a Mustang which has the original plates the Impala had -- "KAZ 2Y5" -- until 2.20 What Is and What Should Never Be. A '65 Mustang was Kripke's original choice for Dean's car: "When I was originally writing the show I wanted to give the guys an American muscle car. My first choice was a '65 Mustang. My neighbor said it has to be a '67 Impala, because you can put a body in the trunk. He says, 'You want a car that, when people stop next to it at the lights, they lock their doors.'"
funny. but definitely roomier, it is sensible. not sure about intimidating though but hey
In the previous episodes involving time travel – 4.03 In the Beginning and 5.13 The Song Remains the Same – the travel was a part of a contiguous series of events. That is, the going back in time was something that had always happened, and did not change events. In this episode, Balthazar says that there are "No rules" anymore, hence his ability to alter events by taking action in the past.
there's some hand waving if i've ever seen it
Jensen once did an ad for Titanic-related merchandise.
oh jackles. aren't you lucky to have such a fanbase that they dig that up and put it somewhere everyone can see
okay and following up on the rock paper scissors, what doES IT MEAN if in this timeline dean doesn't always lose
ps still mad about ellen getting killed off to begin with
(moving this to the end because truly) waxing philosophical to myself about how they often include scenes from really heavy, serious moments in the recap and then the episode is cracky but they briefly have a conversation about the Serious Thing. it's so weird. it's like the exact opposite of mad men next episode promos (which told you absolutely nothing of content). anyway, whenever there's a lot of serious stuff in the recap i would brace myself for a serious episode and then half the time it really wasn't. unclench, nic.
*okay but this just made me think about how in twilight the werewolves all hear each other's thoughts and they start making fun of jacob for pining over bella constantly so i'm imagining the angels get to hear each other and they're making fun of cas for pining over dean LOL

I've got some guesses but who's who in your Atlantis AU?
okay so - i want to preface this by saying atlantis is obvs a bastardisation of greek myths, and my fic is a bastardisation of atlantis, so uhh yh names are just names here. i'm gonna do this under the cut bcos its very Rambly lmao. thanks for th ask!!
okay so first: sara as jason. she's come to atlantis to look for laurel who went missing 5 years ago. ava as ariadne, with bishop as her guardian, who is ruling atlantis until ava turns 25 and can take over. i think bishop wld get obsessed with sara after she kills the minotaur
sara gets taken in by zari as pythagorus (bcos u can't have computer hacking without Triangles), nate as achilles (i know he's not in atlantis, but, c'mon, an invulnerable dude? the comparison is right there) and mick as hercules. as in he was a great gladiator but then he fell into crime and alcohol and got a suprise daughter ... and nate and zari and mick work in a bakery and let sara help out too. astra / lachesis / atropos are all the oracle, and sara goes to visit them a couple of times.
for icarus... i can't decide if it should be charlie or jax? i like the idea of icarus as charlie just... visually, and it works with the pyth / ic ship, but the idea of stein and jax stuck in the tower and stein helping jax to soar away also works so well??
then for medusa... like its nora, right. it has to be nora. it works with her as like fated to become something she can't control, but in This version the gang would either cure her or prevent it from happening in the first place, bcos i think legends is a lot more abt circumventing your fate than letting it happen to u
i want nyssa as medea, but the like Big Reveal is that sara Actually first landed on the assassin-island when she first came to atlantis, where she trains as an assassin and falls in love with nyssa, but chooses to leave to keep finding laurel, and ra's takes her memories as her payment for leaving... and we have a good ol nyssa / ava / sara love triangle
i dont remember enough about the show or greek myths to do the rest of the characters, but i Love this au so one day i'll rewatch atlantis and take notes and plan this out in the fine detail it needs
