I can't be the only one who likes the ending, am I? like don't get me wrong I'm not HAPPY about it, I'm devastated and upset and crying over them. but the ending makes sense for their characters and where they are in their relationship. it's angsty and tragic but it's real and I love it! you know a story is well written when this it can do that kind of emotional damage to you. I can't wait for season 3

and to everyone saying we were lied to about it being "soft and gentle and romantic," except for the end scene: it WAS! they were so obviously in love the whole time. they'll find their way back to each other, I'm not worried

The real star of 'Bokura no Shokutaku' is the child. He comfortably steals the show whenever he appears on stage. I wonder how they managed to make him perform such brilliantly.

Another topic is the language. I am sure we could get a lot of explanations about the nuances of the dialogs. For instance, what Hozumi really said to Minoru when the subtitles read 'liking doesn't come close'?And when he claimed he was 'family' at the end of the last episode?

I can't find the gosh darn post, Anon, but someone wrote about the child actor for Tane having a TWIN, so I'm not sure if only Kuuga was playing Tane or if the show pulled a Mary-Kate and Ashley by giving us his brother, Kouga, too.

But also, @troubled-mind pointed out that the adult actors made the the kid(s) very comfortable on set, and someone else (can't find the post) noticed that we can see Kuuga looking off screen for his cues, but I never noticed probably because he was so damn adorable!

About the language, @isaksbestpillow subbed all the episodes and did an amazing job, so they could answer your questions about nuances. They always mention they are open for asks in those posts, so you should ask about their reasoning for translating those lines the way they did (which might and probably do differ from the Gaga subs) and what additional layers might be within those utterances.

Tbh my thought on mcr covering borhap: they are one of the only bands who could pull off the artistry but I don’t think they could actually land the vocals. Like I love g with all my heart but realistically I don’t think they have the precision to sing one of the most complicated modern songs while sounding good. And don’t even get me started on the ridiculous high notes

okay I hear you but here is my thing. whatever gerard lacks in technical skill I’m confident he could make up for with character. if they ever did cover borhap it wouldn’t sound exactly like the original but it doesn’t have to. and honestly it shouldn’t. I’ll say it time and time again: I trust mcr to cover queen bc they’ve proven that they can embody queen’s spirit without sounding like an imitation. they would definitely put a twist on the song, and I don’t know what the twist would be, but I am open to whatever funky little interpretation of borhap they might come up with
