Creeps with an s/o who twitches/tics!

Toby

He suffers from tourette's syndrom (amongst other things) so he understands a lot of the struggle

The frustration that comes with it, the annoyance it causes, etc

He is there to help you through it all

Your tics also help him understand you better (wether you are platonic or romantic!)

For example, he knows that if you begin to tilt your head, you are tired

He'll rub your back and pull a blanket around your shoulders, shushing and whispering you to sleep

I like to imagine you would help him with his tics too!

An example would be, when he is in a bad mood he tends to have more vocal tics

His most common are grunts, whistles and clicks

If you see this occuring, he likely just wants someone to sit with him and talk things out

It makes him feel appreciated and listened to

Also, depending on what mood you are both in, and how close you are, you may set off each other's tics/stims

Which can be both a blessing and a curse

Eyeless Jack

He does not have any tic related disorders, but with his extensive knowledge of almost all medical fields, he does understand you

But it's not like he'd make a big deal out of it

Whether or not you wanna talk to him about it, that's your buisness

If you do choose to tell him, he would feel a very strong sense of trust between you and him and he wouldn't take such a thing lightly

He won't talk to others concerning your health, and he won't pry on you either

And as time passes, he begins to notice patterns

Such as when you get anxious, you begin to snap your fingers and crack your knuckles

If you want his help, he will of course do everything he can

From offering things such as brain excercises to offering physical things such as fidget toys, he is here for you

And even if you don't want anything, if you just want him to talk to you and listen to you, he is more than happy to do that as well

If you are comfortable with it, and if you enjoy it, he will make your sounds back to you

For example, if you whistle, he will whistle back

He enjoys your twitches, and finds them cute in a way

If you shake your arms, he will smile to himself

Of course, only if it is a happy tic and not stimming from things such as being overwhelmed, anxiety, etc

He has the least amount of knowledge about tic disorders out of the others on this list

So basically, all he knows is what you tell him

If you suddenly pick up a new tic, he will become confused and ask you, "is this a new tic thing or are you just doing things"

He's trying his hardest <//3

He may not know a lot, but if you ever need him for anything, he will provide

Reader with Vocal and Motor Tics;;

Pairings: Daryl/Reader, Glenn/Reader, Rick/Reader

Warnings: It could be seen as platonic or romantic, Reader has motor and vocal tics, Merle is mentioned in Daryls hc list

Glenn:

He would be a little worried depending on the type of tics that you have. Mostly motor ones if you hurt yourself when you do happen to have them (hitting, biting, picking skin, etc.). He's helping you find a way to possibly avoid those tics and helping you find new and healthier ones if possible.

He's super supportive about them though. If he can find something to help you stim, like a toy or something to chew on that won't hurt your teeth. He's happy to help by finding something of the sort on his runs!

I head canon that he has ADHD and Anxiety so I like to think that he might have some tic's of his own, so he gets it. You don't really have to explain too much to him.

He is super patient if you happen to have a tic attack and you sort of just have to let your energy out through stimming. He might stim a little with you, too.

Overall very supportive and helpful with your tics. No judgment from him at all.

Daryl:

Daryl doesn't know what tics are. When you first tell him that the reason you blurt or make random noises, or the reason why you do certain actions. He is lost.

"A tick did this t'ya? Like the bug?"

He tries his best.

He winds up understanding what you mean after a while of explaining. He doesn't entirely understand, but he tries to.

If you know him around the time Merle is there, Merle is definitely going to make fun of you for them. There is no avoiding it. Daryl doesn't let that slide though. You treat him nicer than anyone in the world ever has. So what if you stim and have tics, he doesn't care. It's what makes you, you.

He's getting in an argument with Merle about it and from there on out Merle leaves you alone about it.

If anyone else tries to judge you he's ready to fight.

He thinks some of your tics are amusing and catches himself watching you do them, sometimes.

He also winds up recognizing if you do certain tics when you're upset or anxious and he's looking to help you in any way that he can when he notices.

Overall 8/10 support and help. He gets a little overwhelmed with some of the tics you do when he's overstimulated, but he doesn't let you know it.

Rick:

He's lawst.

He has seen stimming before in Carl and for the most part doesn't think too much about it. Until he notices that you do it a lot more than Carl ever did.

Once you explain it to him he gets it, though. He knows what you mean. He has his days where he has too much energy and he has to snap or hum to feel less pent up. Yours are more extreme than his 'tics' but he understands.

"Carl does this thing when he has a lot of energy where he snaps and flicks his wrists. If he gets too anxious he bounces his leg like a crazy man. If he's upset he chews his nails or scuffs his feet a lot. I always thought they were just nervous habits," He'd ramble to you about Carl to try and show you that he's catching on.

He is a lot like Glenn and would go out of his way to help find you something to stim with and to help your tics.

If anyone so much as makes you feel even a little bit bad about having tics. He's starting a fight with them.

Overall 9/10 support and help from Rick. He just rambles about Carl a little too much. It shows you that he trusts you though.

YEEEEEEESS YEEAAAAA FIRST OF ALL both have vocal tics/stims. Obviously Spud’s is the repetition of his name, while Pest’s is the chittering noise he makes all the time.

Both are more physically affectionate rather than verbal.

They’re both sensitive to sound WHICH IS ERRRRM CANON FROM DIALOGUE AND TRIVIA ERRRM.

I’m in the process of writing a fanfic so I’ll expand on this more but I imagine that Pest would’ve been distant at first because the idea of sympathizing with others and having companions bothered them a lot. But they come around.

Would you guys hate me if I said, on rare occasion, Spud calls Pest “Sarah” and he can’t figure out why because he doesn’t remember who Sarah is.

ON THAT NOTE Spud is aware that he forgets things and as he grows closer to Pest he also grows more terrified that he’s going to forget Pest. (Spud is just like meee)

Spud can also be a little bit protective of Pest sometimes because he’s afraid of losing him.

If Pest found out what Gnarpy did to Spud they would turn xem into a green puddle.

Also unrelated but Spud should be allowed to snap and go apeshit without exploding methinks.

Autistic!GN!Reader x Billy Kid

He, at first, had NO CLUE.

Honestly this guy probably doesn’t have a single idea on what autism is. And if he does, his knowledge would be limited.

You’d have to explain a lot of it to him- Billy would try his best to remember it all though.

In general, would he care? No. To him, it doesn’t change anything about you.

When it comes to physical touch, he’d always make sure it’s okay with you before doing so. If you love cuddles and shit, he’d gladly cuddle you as well.

Overstimulated? He’ll be a bit panicked but he tries his best to help you. If fidgets help you, he’d just sit beside you and let you toy around with the things on his jacket.

You have tics? At first, they probably alarmed him a slight bit. But after a bit he just learned to ignore them. If somebody else mentions them in an assy way, he’ll tell em off within a heartbeat.

Vocal stims? He’d probably wonder what the fuck you’re doing at first. Over time, he’d adjust. I can see him repeating some of them here and there too.

If somebody was an ass to you about anything, he’d be the first to defend you. Not in a babying manner, but in a protective ass boyfriend manner.

First I want to mention the funny haha height difference, as compared to the two corvids, Cold is TOWERING (especially to Skeptic, who's a magpie) and also his wingspan as well, HUGE wingspan compared to Para and Skeppy

Anyway onto more of the ship aspect

I think these three would really get each other,,, Para would def be the most vocal of the bunch

Oorghhh Cold and Skep would be so good at calming Para down and backing him up on anything,,,,, Para would be worried about absolutely everything including its partners and will defo make sure those two aren't doing anything that'll get them hurt (lord Para is not wrong tho)(Para will still fuss at Cold even if void says void doesn't feel anything) Para still loves his idiot boyfriends to death tho <3

I think Para would defo have many breakdowns over not being a good partner or not knowing its own feelings or something happening to them,,,, teehees :3€

Cold would also care for their partners but more in the background, making sure Skep and Para don't go through unnecessary pain (he'd def make fun of them if they got hurt stupidly (knowing the other two are fine with it)), I think void'd be pretty good at comforting them when it comes down to it. He also revels in the height difference, it's especially fun to mess with Skeppy about it- Cold is very entertained with his partners hehe

(I'll admit out of all the voices, Skeppy is the one I really need to pay more attention to- this might be lackluster I apologise-)

Skep would definitely rant his theories to his boyfriends bcuz he knows and trusts that the two will listen to what he has to say and really /get/ it, yknow? And I think he'd want to learn a lot about his partners, they are very interesting critters to him,,, I think he'd try to act stoic, but this man definitely stims to himself when he thinks no one is watching me thinks hehe- He'd pick up so many items and gift them to Cold and Para because he's a man that can connect dots, and his brain connects them ALL THE TIME. Like,, "oo shiny rock. Cold's eyes are pretty shiny. I should give this to void" "oh this is a pretty leaf. The patterns are very similar to Paranoid's. I'm gonna give it to him later" kinda shit, and the two appreciate all of them. I like to think Skeppy would be the type to mirror actions, so he might pick up a stim/nervous tic or two from his partners

Autistic Chase Headcannon

This man was SO autism coded it's insane.

(please remember that I myself am Autistic and Adhd so this is coming from someone with autism, adhd and tics. Also Chase is a fictional character and I can hc whatever I want about him)

Since Donald was kind of a dick and absent father, especially in the beginning, Chase's autism went undiagnosed for a long while. Finally, he decided to diagnose himself since he's the smartest man in the world, and he didn't need some doctor trying to test him to see if he's autistic.

Since he has super hearing, he is really sensitive to loud noises, more than most people are. Alarms of any kind often lead to a meltdown. One time all the fire alarms in the house went off at once while he was home alone and Bree and Adam came home to him crying on the floor.

He definitely has tics, and they get worse when he's tired, stressed, or nervous. They're often subtle and come in the form of clicking his tongue, jerking his head, blinking, or tapping his fingers. He does have some more prominent tics, which are often vocal tics. His tics get really bad when he stays up late or when he's worried about a mission. Unfortunately some of his vocal tics sound like insults and sass and Adam can't always differentiate tics from Chase being actually mean.

There are three kinds of meltdowns with Chase:

The one where he's crying on the floor because he feels like he's broken and his life is falling apart.

The one where he gets a little bit evil and starts snapping at people without meaning to, and that sometimes leads to him crying on the floor feeling like a piece of shit because he can't control himself.

Spike. While the commando app often activated when chase appears annoyed, it's actually him being so low on spoons that he just turns evil at any minor inconvenience.

When he can't do something right for the first time he loses his mind and decides to never try it again. He sees himself as a failure for not being able to fold paper stars. When he fails a simple task, he starts wondering if he's worthy of being team leader if he can't even complete a single simple task

He is very visually oriented. He loves looking at visual stimuli. He has several stim toys that are just cool to look at. (Kaz thinks they're boring because they don't make any noise.) He likes the look of fireworks but ABSOLUTELY HATES the sound.

He stims a lot. When hes excited he stims a lot with his hands, and occasionally does an excited dance. He also does an aggressive smile when he's happy. When he's annoyed he tends to make a whiny noise which most people don't recognize as him stimming to regulate himself. He doesn't have too many vocal stim, he used to but was made fun of for having weird ones.

He is very texture oriented when it comes to everything. He wears so many flannels, but they have to be the same fabric as each other. He likes the fabric that they're made out of and doesn't like flannels with different fabrics. He tends to eat the same foods over and over because he knows exactly what they're going to be like. He doesn't like trying new foods because texture can be unpredictable. He tends to not like mushier textures, slimy textures, grainy textures, or sticky textures. He's very particular.

Noises have textures to him. He doesn't like sounds that feel crunchy. He doesn't like loud booming sounds because the texture feels wrong on his ears.

If he didn't have a capsule, he would have to sleep with the same blankets and pillows every night and someone taking one of his comfort items would send him into unease and a possible meltdown.

He obviously doesn't understand social cues. First of all, he grew up in a basement, second of all, autism. So he never really knows when it's his turn to speak or when he's been talking for too long. He can't tell when what he's talking about is boring other people.

He hyperfixates very easily and will slip into this state of being unable to do anything but what he's focusing on. He once coded for 27 hours when left alone, and the others came back to a very jittery, dehydrated and tired Chase who had to be dragged away from the lab.

Since he knows pretty much everything, it's hard for him to have just one special interest. He fixates on anything that interests him, and knows pretty much everything.

wrt that poll abt tone indicators thats going around.w ell first of all tbh i think some of the hatred for them comes from cringe culture. but second of all. some of the criticism is totally fair like there are a fuckton of tone indicators and sometimes . there really dont need to be. and the abbreviations can be confusing i try to type out ones that arent s srs or j. tho i feel like most of the newer ones were popularized on twt so itmakes sense they wouldnt be written all the way out

like i think my prolem is when theres SO many and theyre redundant. i found a carrd with a fuckton of them that im gonna comment on To entertain myself sorry

like these 3 all feel redundant .. why do u need a different tone tag for Mostly joking than Half joking ? or for a Coping joke ? just use /j or combine with with like, /neg or something to get the tone across yknow? and /ji - first of all looks like /ij (inside joke), second of all why not just use /j

and like. why half serious or mostly serious or not serious when /j or /hj exist ? why /ns when it looks so similar to /nsrs, which means the opposite ? ive been using /s since like 2015 and /srs since like 2018 so ivegot those down and dont confuse them but i see why could be for some one who hasnt used them b4, why make it more complicated?

i like /g or /gen in theory- ppl have said its confusing bc gen could be general which i get, but for ppl familiar w tone tags tend to know what it means. genq is one ive used just bc. its fun to type tbh. and i think ppl get what it means but its not really Necessary. Why would i be mad ? and i start overthinking. but thats a me problem

i love these ones. tone indicators for Being Mean To Someone. dunno if its on this list but ive seen /pa and /sbh (/passive aggressive & /somebody here, respectively) which is SO funny. i dont think theyre helpful really though except /neg Bc again. these all mean very similar things !!! why not just clarify extra things with a parenthetical

ok i wont say that typing tics dont exist bc tics can be complex and vary by situation etc so im sure they can, but is that happening That much that u need a tone tag for it ? and also like. for /unin just delete the msg or say "oops sent too early hang on" or smth.. and as for vocal stim. first of all why is it /vt ? and second of all . why ... would u need that to type out ? bc if ur vocal stimming that would be. out loud? i.e. not in a chat where youre typing ???????@????>?,//???? None of this is to rag on tone indicators (/genuine) i think they can be helpful + i am always being gensrs when i use them. i just think some r a little silly & a lot from longer lists are unhelpful Bc theyre supposed to make communication Easier and Clearer + haveing So many tone indicators with Different Implied Tones WITHIN the indicators !!! makes it harder imo. bc if theyre to clarify tone why should i have to fight for my life deciphering why someone went from /mj to /hj yknow.

like this is all my Opinion and imsure these r all helpful for Someone otherwise they wouldnt exist but i rly feel like the system could be condensed a bit yk.

A/N: as a physical stimming person and a person with tics, I will also maybe make headcannons for those if you all are interested! <3 Noisy and vocal didn't seem right... I looked up a lot of words... aural -> of or relating to the ear or to the sense of hearing.

Donnie

At first he didn't notice it.

Sitting his lab, music bumping, you spinning in a chair

You were making some sort of noise, he couldn't hear it very well

He turned down his music and watched you

You were humming

He smiled and called you over, he wanted to hear you better

Donnie, although he hates physical affection, likes having you on his lap while he works

After he found out that you make noise instead of saying how you feel, he has you either next to him or on his lap

He can hear you hum better now and will churr back.

Leo

He didn't notice at all

Eventually Donnie told him because he couldn't focus when you were upset

Leo obviously didn't believe him because you'd come to him if you were upset...

Right?

So he went to see you

You were almost growling because you were so upset

How could he be so stupid and not realize?

He snuck in behind you, them hugged you tight from behind

You squeak in surprise

He drags you to your bed and cuddles with you

Turning your grumbles into purring

Mikey

Noticed immediately

You two were cuddling and he felt the low rubble of your chest

Purring

He pulled you closer and buried his face in your neck

You chirped a little at the change

Mikey can't help but chirp back

It caused a cycle of chirping back at each other

That could've lasted forever had Donnie not butted it

Raph

You came to him, grumbling

It was so low it was hard to hear until you plopped yourself down next to him

He rubbed your back and neck, trying to relieve some of the anger

It worked, the rumbling was slowly dissipating

He decided to talk, sometimes that helped.

Raph let you move him about until you got a comfortable position

You cuddles into him and began to hum, the grumbling long gone.

I kind of hate being a Stereotypical Autistic Person, but it's not my fault, it's just who I am.

I feel like a caricature from a sitcom-- "I'm autistic, my parents got me tested after I tried to memorize an entire tv show and recite it." I alternate my text as I type, and I write my meticulously-planned, 60-plus-character-novel in comic freaking sans. I pronounce things weird as vocal stims, (seriously? Lemned Demoned? What am I, a child?) and I move erratically, oftentimes to my humiliation, since I cannot control my body.

I wear over-ear headphones because I can't think if I hear too much noise. I'm verbalflux, which means I go from yammering my mouth off to hardly being able to formulate a sentence. I communicate via doodles and communication cards.

I really like listening to halloween music and memorize everything about my hyperfixations. I love dying my hair but I hate the way it feels. My sensory needs control my daily life-- I can't wash dishes if the sponge is too wet!

I'm gender non conforming because I don't understand the concept of gender-based societal roles. I also have OCD, and that means people act like I'm either "just picky" or "legitimately going to hurt someone as a tic."

I cry a lot. I'm hyper-empathetic. I have a lot of vocal tics I can't control-- you know my signoff? That's something I do uncontrollably.

I'm torn between loving myself as I am, and being cringe, and hating myself for even existing, because I feel like a hollow stereotype. I can't sit still in churches or temples, so organized religion is a nope, but I feel like I am physically tethered to something greater than myself. I am the stars. I am nobody.

If I could be neurotypical for one day, I would see a concert, because I can't see concerts. They're too loud.

I don't know, I suppose I'm venting.

I'm not unhappy, or happy. I'm just me.

as a kid he had a gun shot near him & developed tinnitus

^ only worsened as time went on

it gets overbearing after he comes back to life due to the beating he received and literally dying in an explosion

it continued until he got Lazarus Pitted. but that ringing was replaced with silence & most of his hearing fully gone

gains more due to close proximity with firearms and explosions constantly

terrifies him as his hearing loss got worse.

like full on sobbing terrifies.

he spent his entire life relying on his senses and wayne techs always improving technology to keep himself and others safe. with that fully removed it leaves him feeling vulnerable

'how will i know if im alone? if someone is sneaking up on me or im being too loud? if someone is screaning for help just out of eyesight?'

so much fear !

but! he grows to accept it and use it to his advantage and

helmet rigged to have sensors that alert him of almost anything around him

and so sensitive to the vibration of any sound to where he can pinpoint anyone

will close his eyes/remove his hearing aids when arguing so he doesnt 'hear' them

really into heavier music for the bass and drum vibration

fully deaf by the time he reaches his 30s

speech

(this one can be effected by all but)

severe speech delay as a child

repeated lines/quotes mostly to express his feelings because he's autistic and its easier than coming up with the words yourself

Genuine mental health thing:

I get what I've been calling "Anxiety tics" because they come on suddenly when my meds aren't working/I'm in an overwhelming situation/I feel any extended emotional stress. I've heard that anxiety can't cause tics, but since I only get them when I'm under physical/emotional duress, I don't think I have a tic disorder...

I don't remember if they were there in my childhood (I've suppressed a lot of it) but they've become common over the past few years and are almost always involuntary and cause more stress, but on the rare occasions I don't fight them and just let them happen, I feel guilty like I'm faking a tic disorder... which distresses me enough to cause more AND makes me try to fight them.

In my mind there's a difference between them and my ADHD stimming. Like, my stress stims are mostly stuff like obsessively stretching my joints, hitting my head, pulling my hair (or... other self damaging behaviors), but these are more like a sudden jerk in my neck (usually up and to the left), tensed shoulders, and some vocalizations (usually "No!", "Stop!", or "Stupid", which are also common phrases when I have panic attacks).

I really don't know how to categorize these things... are they tics? Maybe some obscure subset of stimming?

Hey there,

Part of what causes or what brings on tics is things such as stress, anxiety, tiredness, excitement or even happiness. So with saying all of this it is definitely possible that when you are under stress or are feeling anxious or overwhelmed, then this is what may cause your tics to come on. In regards to if this is a full-blown case of a tic disorder, I cannot answer this as I am not a health care professional but it is possible that you only get tics when you are feeling the above ways (stressed, anxious, tired, excited or happy.)

Bringing attention to your tics, or trying to fight them, can indeed make them worse, so maybe instead of trying to fight them you could instead try to focus on something else that is happening in your immediate environment as a distraction? Just an idea!

I don’t think it really matters in the end how to categorise these tics that you experience, but instead rather figure out the root causes behind them and try to work on those things. It may be really beneficial to see your local doctor or GP for some support and/ or help and they can also refer you onto someone who can better assess you and work with you to try to help figure out what exactly is going on for you. I know that this won’t be easy and will be somewhat uncomfortable and hard, but often by seeking professional help we can then work towards knowing more about what is going on and how to best deal/ cope with it in future.

Do you see any of the TWST characters as disabled/chronically ill? I know that's a really weird question, but I just like the idea of making people more human in a way (and also I can project my own ailments on my favorite guys). This can also include standard disorders, such as cluster b personality disorders, schizophrenia, arfid, disordered eating, etc. Anything that would impact someone's day to day life really!

I headcanon most of the characters as neurodivergent!!!! Most of them are autistic to me 😋

I hc that Cater has depression, anxiety and I also hc that he used to have an eating disorder…

I hc that Idia has severe depression and multiple anxiety disorders,,

I hc that Azul, Leona and Idia have tics!

Azul mostly has motor tics. They’re not super intrusive most of the time though. And most of his tics tend to be ‘simple’

Leona and Idia have Tourette syndrome so they have both vocal and motor tics! They both have them frequently and a lot of the times they are very intrusive. They have both simple and complex tics.

Sebek also tics! But they are commonly triggered by cold weather and occasionally hot weather :]

His tics sometimes become stims for him

And also after he tics he tends to stim.

I also think Azul uses his cane often,, mostly to help with balance,, I also hc him is disabled :}

Tbh I focus a lot on my autism hcs and the characters autistic traits so I don’t really have other hcs 😭😭😭

I believe that there is something going on inside the little heads of those characters 🤨🤨🤨 I just do not know what yet.

Lemon: I do in fact make weird noises, but i havent beeped in a while. I, like Mod Bee, have tics and vocal stims ^^

Mod Bee- For those who arent aware, tics are involuntary, short, usually repetitive muscle spasms. There are motor and vocal tics - Motor being movement based, and vocal being noises and words. I don't know a whole lot about what causes them, or what causes them for me specifically, but i've had them for a few years now at least.

Always!! I’m a sucker for autistic Steve, I love him so much hehehe

One of his special interests is dinosaurs, specifically dinosaur toys. He collects them religiously and his fav dino is the dimetrodon, so if he ever finds one of those at the store he freaks out and has to buy it. It goes in a special spot on his dresser

He masks a lot, but he has a tendency to let it slip when he’s around the kids, Robin, and Eddie. He’s a lot of fun when he cackles uncontrollably and makes crude facial expressions, and they love him for it because that’s Steve. Not whatever facade he wears normally

Polos and jeans are his go-to because he has sensory issues, turns out. Eddie discovers this when he plays around with dressing Steve up in one of his outfits and he barely lasts a few minutes with all of the rings and layers and belts

Steve likes to collect rocks. If he’s taking a walk through the woods, he can’t help himself if he sees a particularly smooth rock or a funky looking stick, he has to take them home.

In addition to that last one, I think that he got scolded as a kid for filling his room with junk from the woods on his walks home from the bus stop. His dad probably drove him down to the quarry and made him watch as he dumped all of his favorite treasures into the water, never to be found again, and little Steve could do nothing but stand there and cry.

It takes him a while after he eventually moves in with his s/o whether it be Billy or Eddie or both to feel comfortable and safe enough to start collecting again. I like to think that his partner(s) would encourage him to grab pretty rocks and cool sticks, and maybe even gift them to him when they find some themselves.

Steve loves loud noises and flashing lights. He enjoys the hell out of the first Corroded Coffin concert that Eddie invites him to because of it

His comfort movies are Back To The Future and Jaws, which are the only movies that he watches unless someone else insists on something else. Usually Dustin

Eddie enjoys sitting there and listening while Steve recites every line of dialogue perfectly, almost unaware that he’s doing it. He also enjoys the fact that Steve lets his guard down so much when he’s watching his favorite films

When Steve gets excited, he has a tendency to bounce on the balls of his feet and clap his hands. He only does it sometimes, seeing as he masks so heavily in public, but damn is his happiness contagious

His safe foods are mostly comprised of pasta, so that’s practically all he knows how to cook

He eventually gets more comfortable being himself around the people who love him, because these people really love him — not like his parents or Tommy H. “loved” him, but truly and deeply. Without wanting to change aspects of him to make him easier to swallow

Steve laughs his goofy laugh all the time when the kids or Eddie come into the store. He lets his blunt side show when he’s chatting with Robin, knowing that she doesn’t automatically assume that he’s uninterested in what she’s saying, and she continues to ramble on as usual. He actually allows himself to get excited when his special interests are brought up in conversation now

Like I briefly covered in the steddie drabble, he utilizes vocal stims a lot. Either whistles, pops his lips, or clicks his tongue among various other things. Some of them are actually tics, but he doesn’t know that

It takes some time, but he eventually learns to embrace the autistic weird Steve regardless of who he’s around. He collects pretty things from the woods, talks about dinosaur facts and Jaws and Back To The Future without fear of rejection, and his friends love him for it

Autistic Steve is the most interesting, funny, and smart Steve that there is :)) change my mind
