This request is random and it’s all up to you if you want to write it
So say muzan makes the upper six to watch over his infant son and I’d imagine it be chaotic
Like baby reader cries whenever akaza carries him, hates doma and throws his toys at him, maybe his enjoy chasing hantengu (which would lead to hantengu to run away crying), maybe gyokko would teach baby reader about art, maybe for gyutaro he’d be a decent care taker while daki is confused on how to take care of baby reader and kokushibo is baby reader baby reader favorite person and likes to be carried by kokushibo
This is totally up to you if you want to write it
Ohohohoobnonoo
🪐🪐🪐🪐🪐🪐🪐🪐🪐🪐🪐🪐🪐🪐🪐🪐🪐🪐🪐
Muzan was a very attentive father despite himself, his son; his /heir/ was his world.
(Name) was precious and perfect, given anything he could desire in the world.
An absolute papas boy.
So when the moons had to watch the little bundle...
It was a nightmare.
"WAAAAAAH!" (name) screeched as tears rolled down his face, smacking the demon angrily as his barely present fangs bit at Akaza, not harming the demon in the slightest.
"Please behave, our Lord will be home soon!" He tried soothing the babe who wailed louder.
Doma was treated no better though instead of crying it was violence.
"Please little Lord, I just wanna be your friend~" Doma said playfully as he shook a raddle infront of the little one who looked absolutely furious that he cult leader was touching his rattle "ABABABA!" He screeched and smacked his hands against the tatami mat and the blond cooed but glared when a stuffed toy hit him "that's very rude little lord~" Doma said and lifted (name) who immediately tugged at his hair with force "why are you so full of hate~!" He said with almost sadness in his voice "I'm the best one here!"
"Dada!"
"He's gone right now little one!"
(Name) was /facinated/ by hantengu and followed him around everywhere, Shakey little feet as the upper moon tried to get away from the little one, tiny Muzan picking up speed wit his waddles as the poor demon tried running away.
And that's when they learned little (name) could crawl on walls.
"GET AWAY!" He said anxiously and (name) made loud happy baby noises.
Gyokko looked fond as the little one finger painted, messy and colorful and proudly showed it to the other, it was a mess but he could see a vague shape of Lord Muzan based on the black blob with little red eyes.
"Very good little one" (name) beamed at the praise.
Gyotaro was an excellent care taker, soothing the little babe for his nap as Daki played dress up, she wasn't sure how to care for a baby having never had done so but she always thought infant clothes were precious, the siblings watching him as he sleeped on a blanket.
But out of all the moons, (name) always prefered Kokushibo who sat in silence reading as (name) sat in his lap drinking his bottle, the demon glancing down as the babe pat his arm "do you wish for me to read to you?"
"Ababa..."
"Very well..." Kokushibos voice was deep and relaxing to the boy, reminding him of his papa in a way and Kokushibo was reminded of his own children with (name).
Rarely did he think of them but occasionally he wondered what lives they led.
He wondered what life (name) would lead.
The babe sneezed and Kokushibo was confused as a daisy bloomed from the tatami mat.
Well then.

Ain’t He Darling? (Chapter 2)
Yandere! Wally Darling x Reader
A/N: This has gone from a oneshot to a twoshot to what’s now shaping up to be at least a five chapter story and for that I apologize. The “date” with Wally was only meant to be half a chapter and now it’s a full one. I will, in fact, learn nothing from this and will continue to accidentally increase my workload in the future. Many thanks for the kind comments on chapter 1, and I hope you enjoy chapter 2!
People who requested to be tagged; @whynot5243 @tikosan @itsyellow @twerkingnutella18 @azoart Y’all keep me going, I wish you the best.
Prev ——— Next
You know, maybe it was hasty to imagine Wally killing me as the worst case scenario. I think I’d take getting murdered in the woods over the uncomfortable silence I’ve been stewing in all afternoon.
Or at least, the silence is making me uncomfortable. Ever since I dragged myself out of the house to paint with him like I promised, I’ve spent damn near every minute avoiding eye contact like it’d kill me. Not that it seems to be working, as every time I glance up from my painting, I can see him out of the corner of my eye, and without fail he’s always focused on me. How he’s managed to finish his own drawing in between these moments is beyond me, but the way the easels are laid out, I can’t see his canvas anyway. There’s every chance it’s blank, and he just coerced me out here to stare at me without interruption.
But now, the sky is shifting to a myriad of colors, and I send up a silent thank you to the heavens for the excuse to leave. “Well, this has been fun,” I start, wiping the excess paint on my hands onto the apron he loaned me. “But I don’t wanna have to walk home in the dark, so I’d best be off.”
“It has been fun, hasn’t it?” After who knows how long of complete silence, his voice makes me jump slightly. Wally takes a few slow, measured steps in my direction, stopping just a little too close to my personal bubble. His eyes glued to my messy painting of the woods, and his eternal smile seems to widen. “You’re good at this.”
I manage to let out a laugh. “Not really, but I appreciate it.” I glance over my own art at the back of his easel, morbid curiosity eating away at me. As much as I want to see what the resident weirdo drew when he wasn’t trying to burn a hole in my forehead, something tells me it’s better not to know.
Wally’s head turns slightly, following my gaze to his own artwork. “Oh, do you want to see mine?” he asks, not waiting for my answer as he walks over and grabs it off the easel. He stares down at it for a moment, as if ensuring its quality, then turns it around and holding it up for me to see. “I worked hard on it. What do you think?”
Upon examination, I think I should have chosen a different neighborhood to move into, one with less terrifying residents. Staring back at me is a portrait of none other than myself. I’m sitting on a bench, which, after a moment, I recognize as the one under the apple tree where Wally had been the day prior. I look relaxed, leaning back and resting my weight on my hands behind me, my attention drawn to something off to the right. As I scan it over, I note that I wasn’t drawn with the clothes I wore today, but the ones I had on yesterday, down to finest of details. It’s beautiful, and I hate it.
I’m left frozen in place, gawking at the perfect recreation of my likeness in silence. The man doesn’t seem to mind, content to let me take in the details of his piece as he in turn observes my reaction. When I manage to pull my attention back to his face, I stammer out, “That’s…” A hell of a red flag? My worst nightmare on a canvas? A fear I’d have deemed laughable before this moment? “…incredibly realistic.”
Wally turns the painting back to himself, looking down at it with an air of fondness. “I suppose it is. I can’t take all the credit, though.” His eyes look up at me, his head unmoving. “I had a very inspiring model.”
At this, I can feel the two sides of my brain start to feud. The optimistic side makes a good effort to insist that this explains the staring, that he just wanted to get the details right and I was wrong to treat it like a problem. The more realistic side then slaps the optimistic side upside the head and points out that no amount of staring could explain the sheer level of detail in clothes that I’m not even wearing today.
My thoughts continue to conflict with each other, the turmoil so strong that I don’t even register Wally getting closer until he’s barely a foot away from me. I jolt back, nearly falling over. He seems unbothered. “Say, neighbor, would you mind helping me carry all this back to Home? The paintings are delicate, I don’t want them getting crushed.”
Part of me really wants that painting getting crushed, but I don’t dare admit that out loud. Instead, I nod. “Alright, but we gotta hurry. It’ll be dark soon.” Already the sun is casting long shadows, obscured by the trees to the west. Wally and I pack up the paints and fold up the easels, and I balance them all in my arms while he holds the canvases to his chest. Together, the two of us set off towards the house in the center of the neighborhood.
No words are exchanged as we journey through the town. He seems content with the silence, and I’m content to not have to talk to him. It seems the rest of our neighbors have called it a day, Wally and I being the only two people out and about. The weight of the supplies makes my arms ache, but if the alternative is carrying a piece of art that feels just a little too haunted for my taste, I think I can tolerate the discomfort. I don’t know how the hell he managed to drag all of this junk out in the first place.
The sun has sunk down past the horizon by the time we make it to Home, painting the sky a myriad of purples and deep blues. It takes all I have left in me not to collapse upon the porch, made all the worse by Wally’s continued nonchalance as he opens the door and beckons me inside. I brush past him into the living room, dumping my armload of supplies onto the coffee table. With a weary huff, I throw myself down onto his couch to catch my breath, my eyes drooping shut.
“You feeling alright, there, neighbor?” The sofa sinks ever so slightly as he settles down beside me. When I don’t reply, too busy staring at my eyelids and regulating my heartbeat, he speaks with what almost feels like genuine concern, “If you were getting tired, you should have spoken up. I’d have been happy to take a break.”
I shake my head. “Fine, I’m fine. Just need a minute before I head home.”
There it is again, that damn laugh. “What do you mean? This is Home.” The sound of a door squeaking registers in my periphery, and I let my eyes open, squinting against the bright colors of his house. I take a glance out of the corner of my eye, and sure enough, his own are glued on my face with a smile that registers as a little too suspicious for my tastes.
An increasingly familiar sense of unease overtaking me, I push myself up and lean away from him, hoping he didn’t notice, yet knowing he did. “I mean yeah, it’s your home, Wally,” I say, “but I have my own home to get back to.”
He lets out a soft hum, and I swear his smile wavers for just a moment. “I suppose you do,” he murmurs, sounding like he was talking to himself more than me. Risking another glance, I’m surprised to see his eyes not on me, but focused on the paintings that he had leaned against his armchair. My portrait, with its flat, distracted gaze, seemed to be staring back at us from the angle at which it stood.
With this newfound distraction from his observation, I move to push myself up off the couch, snapping him out of whatever stupor he’d been wandering in. I make sure to speak before his mouth catches up to his brain. “Well, today’s been… fun, but I think I’m gonna head out.”
I feel a hand clasp around my forearm, and I barely bite back a yelp at the contact. “It’s pretty dark out there, neighbor. Are you sure you don’t want to just sleep here tonight? I think you’d be safer.”
Nope, nope, nope nope nope. I pull my arm away, praying it didn’t look as panicked as it felt. “I appreciate the concern, but I’ll have to pass. It’s not that long a walk, I’ll be fine.” I step away towards the door, and my stomach sinks when I hear Wally get up as well.
As I prepare to head out, the same hand settles upon my shoulder instead. “Well, if you’re sure, I won’t stop you,” he drawls, a trace of emotion I can’t quite name evident in his tone. He slips past me, opening the door himself. He tilts his head, eyes locked on mine. “Let’s do this again sometime. Won’t that be nice?”
If I didn’t know better, I’d say that was a challenge. Straightening up, I stand in the doorframe and meet his stare as evenly as I can. “I’m sure it would be.” The evening chill washes over me as I exit Home. “Good night, Wally.”
“Good night, neighbor. Sleep well.” My steps are steady and even as I walk down the porch stairs, and the light still pouring out as I walk away tells me that the door is still open. That he’s still there, still watching me. I hurry along towards my house, being sure to break out of his line of sight as soon as possible. It doesn’t help with the paranoia, but I pretend it does.
Tears nearly stream down my face in relief as I enter my own home and close the door, leaning back against it and sliding down to the ground. I don’t bother getting up, not to eat, not to shower, nothing. I just sit there, alternating between keeping my eyes closed to try and relax and opening them when I see those horrible eyes taunting me in the inky black. As I feel myself drifting off, one final thought crosses into my mind:
I never got my painting back from Wally.

hello hi!!! grfhvhghr i am in love with your artwork so much you cant believe-- i wanna ask if you have any tips on how you lineart and colourpick?? no pressure to answer tho, have a great day/night!! again, love your art <33
hi!! thank you for your kind words!! since i got asked about these a lot, im answering this for all the other ask asking about lineart and colour tips too! You can see some previous post here.
also i could only give out tips that work for my drawing style - which is heavy lineart / colours pop up the line (believe it or not it's American comic book style. ppl cant understand why my art doesnt really look like usual anime/ Asian webtoon style, even though it is still clearly anime / Asian webtoon style, but when i told them it's because im drawing these by studying American comics, no one believes it either lmao.
i do study but i do my own things too, so most of my art inspo is really unexpected to ppl, but they r really where i learn things from, cuz i dont even go to art school TT_TT).
Tumblr media
Changing the brush size will help you achieve thick/thin lines better without having to put pressure on your wrists. Keep your hold relaxed and let bigger brush size give you the thick strokes.
I like messy sketch, to me the sketch is just an outline shape to fill details in when i do the line, it also gives more freedom to wriggle as i draw! cuz i dont really plan out everything from the start, just wing it as i go, so a lot of my work is actually very spontaneous.
that leads to this point: when you do the lineart you should start deciding which colour style you want from it to adjust the details amount. the ink shadow blocks in my art aren't there randomly, i adjust them to best complement the shape language and colours.
for piece where i want the line/shadow to...idk hit (?), the colours are almost flat with textured brush adding depth to them, so the inking is the shading, thus there are more details in the lineart / ink blocks.
Tumblr media
for the video above and piece like this where i want the colours to be clear and pop out, the use of ink blocks are minimized and i do the shading during colouring process. but! the ink blocks can still make some places pop very nicely! just use in moderation!
Tumblr media
when doing the base it's good to keep the colour on the left side of the colour wheel (low saturation), but as you do shading and lighting, try to spread out evenly so it won't look washed out.
toggle around with hue and saturation slider as you go! the key is always adjusting! you're making hundreds of decisions at once, being conscious of your choice in why a line or a colour should be in a certain way will help improve your process a lot! (i think you can tell which art i turned off my brain and just draw for stress relief ........ which is also a valid way to draw and sometimes the result might surprise you! but for more serious stuffs i try to be aware of most of the move i make. it's problem solving, yeah?)
i find that one way to keep your art from appearing too...yellow in the end (which is sth that haunted my ass for a long while) is always aim for cold tone, so if you accidentally make it warm either way in the end it won't be too warm (and yellow )
well that's all the stuffs i can think on top of my head. sorry i can't give more advice on colour picking cuz it's sth i don't really know how to give advice on???? i think my colours now are still pretty lame haha........ if there are still any questions i'd gladly answer within my ability, though im very slow to answer ask ( i do read and be happy at all of them tho!)

Umm.. Can i ask if you could show me how you do the anatomy for the sonic characters? i've been trying to do it for a couple of days, and have yet to figure it out. if you could show me i'd be really happy!! ^^
hiii!!! so i made a shitty "guide" ~2 months ago that might help (i rlly dont think its good but it still seems to help ppl??). i highly recommend @/tatck 's guides here and here!!
i unfortunately still don't think i'm in a place to give any concrete advice. it's really difficult for me to articulate my drawing process bc its kinda nonexistent, i just sit down n' do whatever. but i'll try my best!!
a good place to start is improving your understanding of shape language! which is important for any cartoony style.
Tumblr media
in the following examples i studied two contrasting covers from IDW. as you can see the first makes use of more pronounced, sharper angles and shapes. the second is much rounder/soft, and lacks much of any sharp points. im not going to get into why these choices were made, but please take note in how shape language can effect the emotion of your piece (i.e. sharper = louder, softer = quieter).
Tumblr media
both covers were made by Nathalie Fourdraine (for the sonic 2 one-shot and issue #64 RI respectively). i picked the same artist bc it's important to recognize that you're never trapped in a specific process or style. there is always room to experiment.
as i mentioned in my last guide post, you should definitely study the styles of artists you like, and also other cartoons. try blocking their works yourself, and also copying from just your eye (this is how i learned growing up). i also personally look to understanding the Principles of Cartooning.
now that, that shoddy explanation is out of the way, i'll just cover what my (hypothetical) process is.
foundation - setting up the shapes / pose. they are often fairly incomplete and i piece it together in my brainz. never try too hard here, this is your like rough rough draft. allow yourself to be messy but do so with intention; bc over-complication will keep you stuck here, but if you're just throwing shit around you'll get lost. use whatever makes most sense to you, not others. *i also think cartooning is far easier the less of a base you give yourself to work with. once you're more confident, try working from nothing.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
2. the spritz - sometimes need a better visual than blocks and add w/e detail i find necessary for lining/final. yk like the normal sketch stuff. most of the time im just building off this all in one layer and it becomes the finished piece.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
3. the spruce - the end result !!! i lean towards messier sketches for my final product than actual linework. these aren't often that different from the sketches, and again, probably just done in the same layer. i don't concern myself with making it look perfect, and i recommend you don't either when starting out. just allow yourself to wander freely and build up that understanding of the area, instead of brute forcing to your goal w/o experience. things will flow nicer the more you embrace just letting shit happen on your canvas.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
i'd like to note 70% of the time i am working WITHOUT the first two steps. this is only b/c i've gotten to a point where that is what's comfortable for me. i can't stress enough that you shouldn't try to HAVE other people's processes, and instead just implement parts of them that might work for you into yours. make it your own! there's a reason all the official styles vary so much.
the sonic style is one of the hardest i've dealt with so far. it's difficult to tame, but you got this! if you need any encouragement, just look at my egregious older art.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
you can tell that they're pretty stiff and stuck in a "comfort zone". the first two are from ~4+ years ago. the 3rd from last september.
i wanna end this off on that in the future i'm just going to redirect people to this post or the ones mentioned at the start. i'm an awful teacher, give me another 3 years...hope this helps!

Imaginary Shadow Dad) Ch.2: Training so Young
—☆—
Okay! I'm gonna be honest. Imaginary Shadow Dad has been sitting in my docs with two chapters done and a third in the works for longer than I've even been writing ClingPeaches. For today's chapter:  Mac decides to teach Mk how to use his lantern. What was he supposed to expect? Definitely not this.
—☆—
Xiaotain summoned the shadows to his side shockingly often for the next year. He even started summoning Shadow Dad during recess to play games, and the older had started to learn that no matter what, he could always expect a call at lunch. He started to get food for the starving little sky before the call arrived, so it would be ready on time. He was almost always summoned to the boy’s room at night to sing him a lullaby or read him a story.
Eventually, he learned when the kid’s birthday was and immediately started looking into what the kid could want. He knew the cub liked art. That was the obvious one. Second most obvious was Monkey King, but the darkness had history with that dickhead. What he finally decided on was teaching the kid some illusions with his lantern. He was certain the kid would get a kick outta that!
When he was summoned by Xiaotian on his birthday, he expected the boy to be at a friend’s house or at least having some sort of good day, like when he found that shiny purple bug in the bushes behind his school. He never would’ve expected the birthday call to be a comfort call! “Happy birthda- Oh. Oh, I guess not.” he said as he saw the cub with his tiny lantern in hand and a big purple spot over one eye. The shadows kneeled down and examined the boy’s face softly. He had no idea how to comfort Xiaotian. He decided to attempt a diversion. “Do you wanna get this off your mind?” he said as he pointed in no specific direction.
The little sky, (Ever so little) nodded at the request and hugged the darkness’ legs. He felt a hand on his head and was lifted into the taller’s arms. He felt comforted by the touch… until Shadow Dad fell backwards, dragging him along with a tight grip on him.
They came out on the other side in a weird old building, kinda like a dojo, even though Xiaotian didn’t see. His eyes were shut from fear. “Hehe. Sorry, bud. Shoulda’ warned ya’.” Shadow Dad chuckled before his arms lost a little stability and the cub fell to the ground. Of course, the darkness resolidified and patted the boy’s head softly, before pulling out his lantern and turning it on, making the area more clear.
After a quick agitated look, Xiaotian looked around a bit. The place was, in short, depressing. The shadow was standing next to what looked almost like a blanket nest, though it was really messy. Give him a break! It’s not his fault his form isn’t solid. The walls had marks of obvious frantic, unfinished cleaning, and the entire place had clothes thrown around. Was this where Shadow Dad lived? The cub couldn’t believe it. “Shadow Dad; why is your place so depressing?”
The darkness, who had been setting up the nest, turned towards the kid with an annoyed look. “Kid, it’s fine. I’m not fully physical in this form, and it’s hard to clean with an intangible arm.” he answered honestly. I mean, it’s a little obvious. “Now, come here. I wanna show you something.” He beckoned Xiaotian closer. The younger was clearly nervous, but he walked up to the nest anyways.
“What is it, Shadow Dad?” The boy asked, still outside of the nest. The shadows gestured for him to get into the nest, but he shook his head. “What is it?”
The darkness was confused and glanced between Xiaotian and the nest. “This?” He asked, pointing to the blankets beneath him. “It’s a monkey nest. We make them for comfort, and they’re good spots for grooming.” He shrugged, before moving closer to the younger. “Now that that’s settled..” He practically pounced at the other, grabbing him and dragging him back into the nest. “It’s time for some monkey bonding.” He announced, sitting back up with the boy between his legs.
Xiaotian was very confused as he sat there, the shadow monkey’s paws combing through his hair. He would’ve been asking questions, if it didn’t feel so nice. It effectively shut him up. He hadn’t been groomed by Shadow Dad since that first proper meeting, and even then, he was far too tired to process anything. “Ahh~” He exhaled in relief. To him, this was super duper relaxing.
To Shadow Dad, this was another reason he was killing Xiaotian’s parents. The boy’s hair clearly hadn’t been washed in months. He was gonna be sitting there for a while. Of course, he wasn’t gonna leave the cub with any level of subpar hair. It did take two hours straight of grooming, but seeing the kid happily napping on his lap was worth it.
He leaned back and looked at the ceiling in thought. How could anyone treat his wholesome Little Sky like such total shit?! He couldn’t imagine what would cause someone to be that cruel. He didn’t wanna promote misuse of magic, but he was silently hoping Xiaotian would traumatize everyone who’d ever hurt him once he had been taught how, but first; he was gonna let the kid nap a few minutes longer.
-30 minutes later-
The cub woke up softly and sat up nice and slow before staring at Shadow Dad and rubbing his eyes. “Heya, Xiao-Xiao. Have a nice nap?” The darkness asked with a smile. He ruffled the boy’s hair as he stood up and grabbed his lantern. “I hope you’re ready for what I actually planned on doing here.” He stated with poorly masked embarrassment. He had honestly forgotten once he started grooming the kid and only remembered after Xiaotian had passed out.
The little sky looked up at the shadow monkey and excitedly scrambled out of the nest. “What are we gonna do?” He asked with a grin.
Shadow Dad chuckled and drummed his fingers on his lantern. “Well, you’re gonna need your lantern for this.” He sent some images of landscapes onto the walls around him.
He didn’t have to say anything after that. Xiaotian dug through his pocket and pulled out his lantern, before asking, “What’re we doing with these?” happily.
“I’m gonna teach you your first illusion.” He said, a smile in his tone. “I’m going to teach you,” He raised an open hand. “To steal the light!” The hand closed into a tight fist as everything suddenly went black aside from the shadows’ glowing eyes. Xiaotian was calmed by that. He knew Shadow Dad could turn those off. It was like he left them on to say, ‘I’m still here’. The lights were back within seconds, allowing the darkness to be seen again.
“I can learn that?!” Xiaotian exclaimed in confusion, holding his lantern as though he was asking it the question.
The deep chuckle from the man in front of him brought his attention back. “As long as you have that lantern,” He teleported behind the cub. “you can learn all my moves!” He laughed.
The Little Sky stood with awe in his gaze as he gathered his thoughts. “You mean, I could teleport?” He asked.
“Once I teach you how; But that’s a little advanced for you, bud.” Shadow Dad stated with a pat on hi- the kid’s head. “For now, let’s stick to the basics.” He said as he sat down, lantern in hand. “For starters, you probably think it’s a creativity thing, right?” The shadow accused. Xiaotain nodded softly and sat down in front of him, brushing hair from his eyes. “Well, you’re only half right. It’s like… drawing! You might know exactly what you want to draw, but you need to know what pen strokes would create the right effect and which hues would make for the best color palette.” He described.
The younger nodded, barely able to understand, but he thought he got the gist. “So, I need to learn the shadow strokes, right?” He questioned, hoping he got it right.
The darkness laughed softly and muttered, “Something like that.” before going back to mentor mode. “To steal the light you need to think of the light like a liquid. You need to think of something that could suck it into the lantern.” He explained, creating visual aids for the cub to reference.
Xiaotain nodded and puffed out his cheeks. He scrunched his face up as he tried to think of light flowing into the lamp. Then Shadow Dad chuckled and he opened his eyes, the light very much still there. “What is it?”
The shadow seemed shocked for a second then he laughed. “You look constipated, Xiao-Xiao. You need to relax. The light moves on its own. There isn’t a need to make it move.”
  “But you said before-”
“No, no. Xiao-Xiao, you have to imagine what sucks in the light. The light is hard to move, so something needs to suck it in. Try thinking of… a whirlpool.” Xiaotain looked confused, but he closed his eyes with a determined look. “Relax..” Shadow Dad said softly. The boy’s look softened slightly, though the older could hear that he was holding his breath. “You need to breathe, bud. Imagine that your breathing is spinning the whirlpool. Keep it even and calm.” The younger started breathing deeply, in and out; spinning the water in his mind. Shadow Dad grinned as the shadows started stirring around the kid. “You’re doing great, kiddo. Keep it up. In..” The darkness sucked air in. “And out…” Exhale.
A vortex of shadow appeared in front of the lantern and wind seemed to pick up. The Little Sky started opening an eye, but the shadow monkey covered it.
“Don’t lose focus.” He said. The boy quickly shut his eye again and got the vortex back to spinning. The shadows around them seemed to spread as the younger snagged the light, the glowing rays of sunshine going to the lantern like a moth to a flame. A chirp of pride bubbled in the shadow’s throat, but he distorted it into some garbled noises before it could escape.
Sadly, the noise startled the cub and the vortex immediately reversed. He watched the light return to surrounding him and tried to reach for it. “No~ I was doing so good.” He whined, before plopping down into Shadow Dad’s lap. He whimpered for a moment as the older brushed a semi-corporeal hand through his hair; then he looked up at him and asked, “Shadow Dad, what was that noise?”
The shadow seemed to nearly blush and avoided the seven year old’s gaze. “Oh, uh- Nothing, bud! The shadows just make noises sometimes.” Even when the kid was barely a first grader, he could tell he noticed something in his tone was off. He really needed to get those improv classes. Xiaotain shrugged his behavior off however, thankfully, and stood up.
He held his lantern like it was the greatest thing in the world and sat down in front of him again, lotus style, seeming like he was gonna try again, until his stomach growled. The Little Sky looked at his belly like it had personally offended him and then to Shadow dad with an upset look. “I’m hungry.” He mumbled, before yelping as the older picked him up like he weighed nothing.
The darker creature chuckled as he carried the boy toward the tattered couch and cluttered table. He was glad he’d checked for bed bugs or any other things first. He managed to get the abandoned place bug free before the cub’s birthday. “Well, we can’t have that; now can we?” He stated in a giggly tone. Careful hands were kept solid with immense effort from the shadow as he placed the younger on his couch. “Wait here, Xiao-Xiao.” He said with a boop.
“Okay, Shadow Dad!” The kid exclaimed energetically, swinging his feet as he sat there. The inhuman creature dipped down and rose up in the kitchen, starting some water on the kettle and pulling out the old tea set that was left behind when this place was abandoned. He still remembered entertaining himself by watching kids get trained in this place when it was open. Sure, he needed to scare off demolitionists once every few years and keep curious teens out, but it was worth it to keep this place standing.
The shadow focused his energy in his hands so he could wash the delicate ceramic without it slipping from his grip. Once he had washed and dried the set, he started some rice in the rice cooker and slipped his hand into the shadows to steal a steak from some expensive restaurant. He had never thought of being this protective over anyone; not since… but Xiaotain had slipped into his space and convinced him to open his door. Not just anyone could do that.
He pulled out a bottle of honey, a couple bowls, sugar, and cream before starting to set up the tea set. He placed the bottle of honey on the set’s wooden tray, opened the sugar to put it into the sugar bowl, and poured cream into the cream dish. He hadn’t used this stuff often, but he liked making treats for his Little sky. The rice cooker beeped and he scooped some into each bowl before slicing the steak and placing pieces on top. He absently wondered what Xiao-Xiao was doing right now. He hoped he’d found something to do.
He summoned a shadow clone to carry the food out to his kid as the kettle squealed. He quickly turned it off and poured the boiling water into the teapot, before pulling his plum tea out of the cabinet and placing it on the tray with everything else. He was smiling as he picked it up and started carrying it out to hi-... he’s been saying his, hasn’t he? -and started carrying it out to the cub. The shadow clone from before almost made him drop the set though, as it ran over and started pointing toward the living room frantically. Was Xiaotian hurt?
He dispelled the clone and dashed as fast as he could without dropping the set but he was absolutely stunned when he saw the room was in complete darkness. He decided to place the set on a dresser in the hallway until things had calmed down. When he entered the fully dark room he activated his dark vision and saw something that made his chest swell with pride. Xiao-Xiao was sitting on the couch with his lantern in his lap and his eyes closed.
How did he not see this? He was astounded! He immediately dashed over and held the child above him, which did cancel the spell, but he was too proud to care. “You’re already doing it!” He laughed, with pride in his throat. “You did it, little bud! You did it!” He flung himself onto the couch and placed his forehead on the cub’s as they both laughed.
“I did it! I did it!” Xiaotian giggled as he threw his arms into the air in celebration. He nearly fell backwards with the momentum.
"Okay, okay. let's eat!" Shadow Dad chuckled as he hugged his little protégé. He summoned a clone to bring the tea set over and placed the boy next to him with a soft expression. "It really is amazing that you managed that day one, though. You're really something, kid." He praised.
Xiaotian glanced at him with awe in his eyes and grinned. "Thank you, Shadow Dad!" He said as he picked up his bowl and started eating. "Yummy! You're a great chef, dad!" He exclaimed after swallowing his mouthful.
The shadow absently acknowledged that the boy had said 'dad' instead of 'Shadow Dad' but he decided not to point it out. "Thanks, kid."
The child yawned after finishing his bowl and muttered, "Why am I so tired?"
"You used magic, bud. That's gonna be tiring for your little mortal body!" He cooed.
"But I don't wanna be tired!" He whined, leaning back against the couch.
"Want me to groom you again?" the older suggested, holding up his shadowy paws.
The Little Sky nodded and hugged his father figure. "Can you sing too?" He murmured into the darkness' chest.
The bigger creature muttered, "Mhm." as he started scratching through the other’s hair. His singing and grooming lulled the younger to sleep very quickly, and since it was rather late by now, he carried the younger through the shadows, back to his home, and tucked him into bed. "Goodnight, youngling.." he murmured in the child’s ear, before slipping off into the dark.
He only gave slight acknowledgement to his own body as he passed it in the non-corporeal state, but he did notice that it wasn't healing quite as quickly. He hoped that wasn't gonna be important, because the child needed protection. He couldn’t leave his Little Sky.
—☆—
Dawww! Adorable, right? Macaque loves his Little Sky so damn much, it's gonna kill me! Anyhoosel, chapter three shouldn't take too much longer. It's gonna be pretty long though. Got a lot to get through in this Marshmallow fic(Tooth rotting fluff)'s next chapter! Now, as always,
Have fun, and happy scrolling!

diana, this might sound like a weird question, but how do you draw boobs/gock/vaginas and anatomy in general? i wanna improve my art and you seem to have a lot of experience with it
-alice in anon because im embarrassed lol
hmm good question! im gonna be honest i don't really use references most the time, and i recommend you absolutely use references very often when drawing something you're not the most confident in.
for anatomy, it sorta comes down to me focusing on how other artists draw specific parts of anatomy and getting a good feel of how they generally look enough to know what looks wrong in my own attempt so i can continue adjusting it. it's a shitty bruteforce method but for me i sorta just osmosis it from exposure. in general i have a decently trained eye in 3d space on account of my 3D modeling experience, so coming up with shapes at particular angles is a little less of a headache i imagine some others would deal with at my skill level. i still struggle with posing which is something i really gotta practice more. i know it'd be faster if i used references for practice but my art process is a bit too casual out of stubborness... but i will do what i can to improve my workflow at some point!
regarding stuff like sexual anatomy or what have you, i actually pull up a few different artist's works, specifically those who draw shapes i find most appealing, and apply their concepts to my own attempt. it's sorta hit or miss atm, i'm still very new to drawing sexual anatomy. at the very least, i try and draw bodies as they are. what i mean is, a chubbier body is going to have more pockets of fat pulling some parts down, and comparing with my own body and those whom i've been with, i just try and capture the practical "flaws" and do my best not to polish them out of the equation. sunken eyes, messy hair, folds of skin, muscle definition, wrinkles, hair, etc it's all very pretty and more than anything i want to appreciate those bodies.
use references, look at your own body and try and plan out angles and poses before you get too deep into the drawing! my biggest flaw at the moment is lack of forethought going into a piece which can make a lot of my art much more stiff because an idea i wanted occurs halfway through the drawing and retroactively adjusting things is just not gonna work and it'll look stilted. come up with your idea and sketch a very simple example so you know what you're aiming for the entire time instead of me who habitually draws heads and facial features long before deciding how i want the rest of the body, usually locking me into the same perspective and angle as always lol. i have been fixing this most of the time now and i hope that is more apparent in some of my recent works.
sorta just rambling, but yeah! the most simple way for me to tl;dr this is that i recommend using irl examples for references for poses or how particular pieces of the body are structured in 3D space, and looking at other's art for ideas or inspiration, reverse engineer their process and practice it until you feel satisfied it makes sense in the context of your drawing. take special attention of smaller details of the body and don't be afraid of making something look "unappealing" if you want to portray a specific feature. you might not draw something the way that looks good to you, but the most important thing is learning what it is that does look good in your opinion, and reviewing what you could do to help draw more like that.
i'm really sorry if this is far too convoluted and not great advice, i'm the literal embodiment of "fake it till you make it" and any skill i've learned is simply because i am stubborn and bruteforcing it till i accomplished whatever it is that i wanted. for someone who is more interested in learning and improving the "right way", i tried to offer some more rational strategies to what i do in hopes that it makes sense in helping better lol. hope this helps!

The 2nd Post
Hi, Its been 2 years since my last real post. So I've decided to compile a bunch of the work I've done, Finished or Not and post it here.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
VIP_Miami (Unfinished, Scrapped)
VIP_Miami was a map made for Team Fortress 2 Classic inspired by Gorge set between 2 hotels. This map was a test to see how urban, art decor could possibly look in the Team Fortress Style. This map ended up being cut due to being overscaled and messy. Playtesters did comment they liked the gazebo first point so I might return to that idea again sometime.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Koth_Crossover (Released)
A collaboration between me and the talented Gamingcam. We both set out to create Pre-Fortress 2's flagship map for the 0.7 update. Gamingcam handled the layout and initial art passes, while I mostly cleaned it up and overhauled the color palette to make the map more friendly and inviting.
Koth_Crossover Beta Variant (Unreleased)
For a good while Crossover featured moss on the top of its rocks. Despite being mostly positvitely recieved, I came to the conclusion that It didn't make much sense for what I was going for. So It was removed.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Dom_Canalzone (Unfinised)
Canalzone was a port of the Team Fortress Classic map of the same name. The difference being it was now Domination instead of Territoral Control like in TFC. This map was ported to test if 5 Control Point Domination could work. It somewhat worked but 3 Control Point maps were the superior way to go. I was planning to make a map inspired by Canalzone taking what I learned from this port but it never came to fruition.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Invade_Push (Unfinished)
A port of Push from Team Fortress Classic, Main goal was to create a port of Push that felt more open and not confined. I think this was achieved in my opinion. I'm happy with how this was turning out and I may return some day to finish it.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
DM_Icebox (Unfinished, Scrapped)
Icebox is a Deathmatch map made for Open Fortress. Inspired by IceWorld, Shipment, and Rust. The map is a fast paced kill-box. It was postively recieved however due to losing the source files I do not have the motivation to continue working on it.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
DM_Aqua (Unfinished, Scrapped)
Another map for Open Fortress, This map was never really playtested. Scrapped due to not being fond of how I laid out a lot of the layout ideas. I might return to these concepts in the future although.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
DM_Fotia Artpass Concept (Scrapped)
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
A while back I started a remake of DM_Fotia for Open Fortress. The map is still currently in development but this was a Art Test of what the map could've looked like. This was most likely the finalized idea till I lost the source files for the artpass. I will most likely explore different themes to see what I like the best.
Theres a lot more I wanna post that I can't include in this post so stay tuned for more stuff I guess.

Hi! I'm a super big fan of your art, everything is so pretty and amazing and I just wanna consume it every time I see one of your comics or illustrations. I just wanted to ask (cause I looked around a lil but didn't see anything covering this, if I missed it so sorry haha) what art program/tablet do you use to draw? Also, do you have any tips for beginning artists? I'm trying to get into drawing but I'm not too sure where to start TwT
AAAAA 😭😭 you're too sweet!! Thank you so much!
Also omg personally I use an iPad with the program/app procreate on it to draw!
I'm gonna put everything else under a read more since I got a little wordy oops
Honestly if I were to offer any beginning artist tips I think the biggest one is to just have fun. I know it sounds silly but really like just have fun and don't worry about what you're drawing being perfect or exactly what you had in mind or anything like that. As long as you're having fun and doing your best and not stressing about what you're creating you'll find yourself wanting to draw and create more- and it's within time and persistence that your skills develop
Also while it's good to draw every day since you do need to actively draw more to improve, don't stress about making sure you do! Just go at your own pace and draw when you feel like it!
I think I stress both of these points since they're things I've been working on and struggling with off and on too, realizing I don't have to be constantly drawing and that what I do draw doesn't have to be perfect, and honestly my comics have been a great exercise in letting myself make things "imperfect"
Relating to actual drawing skill sets, I do think that doing figure drawing is incredibly important since learning anatomy is crucial to drawing, even if it's not the most fun thing. Really if you see someone in a cool pose- typically real life photos- if you just try to see the shapes the human body makes and just loosely sketch a messy version of where their body shapes are can help. You don't have to break them down super basically like some tutorials do, unless that helps you! Everyone draws differently so there's no Right Way to do anything. Here's some examples from some I did a while back! I used highlighters since it made it so I couldn't erase, so I had to be more purposeful in my lines, but you can use any medium you want!
Tumblr media Tumblr media
And don't worry if it doesn't look exactly like the photo you're drawing from- you're learning!
Another thing is that references are your friend, looking at things and figuring out how to draw them is incredibly helpful so don't be afraid to look up anything you're trying to draw for help
Something I used to do specifically for learning, was looking at photos or even pieces of art I thought were cool and then trying to draw something how I saw it, to understand someone else's use of shape and form. These were things I kept in sketchbooks to just figure out how to draw things like hands and feet and legs, using real life and other's works as a reference to teach myself
Then later while drawing on my own, if I couldn't figure out how to draw something I would go back to my own references and practices to help myself by using my own referenced art as a reference- here's a whole page of hands I drew a couple years ago while looking at photos of hands and also some art (uhhh I believe it was from GinjaNinjaOwO on youtube- if you DO post anything you've referenced poses or elements from, be sure to credit the original artist you've taken reference from!)
Tumblr media
You can see I've got a lot of mistakes and scribbles and wonky forms- because I was just trying to understand the shapes and practice drawing hands on my own time, this wasn't anything I had ever drawn with the intention of posting lmao
But! You can do this for any kind of thing you're trying to learn, from arms to facial shapes to hands- just learning what kind of shapes and forms bodies or anything else you're trying to draw take
As far as the side of what kind of stuff to USE to draw, really I'd say to not be afraid of pencil and paper, I know digital art can have a nice and clean polish to it, but especially if you're learning it's really nice to just have a sketchbook (any kind work, just find paper you like! I've been using dot grid notebooks lately!) and a pencil or pen or really anything you feel comfortable with, that you can just loosely draw with and use whenever you like
For digital hardware while I do LOVE the iPad, I know they're pricier and not everyone jives with them, so I'd recommend drawing tablets by the brand Huion, since I've had a great time with them in the past when I used my laptop with Paint Tool Sai, which I also highly recommend as a drawing program, but keep in mind you can use anything! I have a friend who makes AMAZING works just using mspaint lmao
Honestly! In the end, like I said, just focus on having fun and drawing things that you want to without worry for being perfect or 100% anatomically accurate or anything. There's fundamentals that are the best base to build off of but never stress too much about it. Have fun creating! 💙💜

Omg yes I agree! I am not a "professional artist" but art is one of my favorite hobbies. Even though I do it for fun for the longest while I used to get so frustrated when drawings didn't turn out the way I wanted them to or I didn't get the hang of a medium or particular style/pose first try. Obviously in my mind I knew that only with practice and time will I be able to make progress and polish my skills but yk how us humans tend to get impatient with anything that takes time and consistency lol.
I used to throw away pieces and sketchbooks that were just too "messy" or "unpresentable" and also cuz I just move around a lot, I lost many of my previous sketchbooks and paintings ;-; I definitely regret it now cuz I miss those crusty drawings eventhough I used to hate them and cringe just looking at them. Also it's very fun to see your art progress over the years as you learn more and more things.
It is only through this experience that I realized that, yes, the end product is important especially since you put so much time and effort into it but every attempt to create something (even if it's "ugly") is worth acknowledging cuz it takes a great deal of creativity to build an idea on a blank canvas. You might not know the purpose/ meaning behind everything you create but that's fine because sometimes they find their own purpose. The journey of creating things just gets so much more enjoyable when you stop expecting perfection, because something doesn't need to be perfect to make you feel a great deal of things, and it's not necessary that all of your art will make you feel good things too.
You might hate some things you have drawn, might even wanna burn them and make sure no mortal eyes ever see them lol, but that's ok. It's all part of the process. Even if some things make you question your artistic abilities or frustrate you, it only makes way for you to learn to overcome those things/ learn to work alongside them. Atleast that's the case for me lol :d I am a very emotional person so I also create art as a way to turn them into something tangible. As long as my art makes me feel things that is enough for me :) I just can't believe it took me so long to learn this lesson tho lol.
Even if I could draw beautiful masterpieces with perfect proportions and colors, it still wouldn't diminish the value of those crudely drawn rainbows and clouds 5 year old me made. It made me very happy to make art and play around with colors and shapes even if my rabbits looked more like a dog and my flowers had unrealistic colors and the only ppl I could draw were those lil stick men. Any of these things have no less value than the art I make now because it made me happy and proud then and made me want to continue to draw. I really should give younger me some credit because since she liked to draw and kept at it one ugly drawing after the other, that is the only reason that I am still able to draw and appreciate art the way I do now :)
Lol this got way too long (sorry) and I am not even sure if half of it makes sense since this very emotional rant was brought to you by my post-afternoon nap half fried brain :d
Anon!!! I'm so glad you felt comfy enough to share your experience🥺🥺💖 Being able to say the thing about liking the process of art is definitely one thing, very different from actually doing it, because I used to be very,,, very ashamed of my art lol, I still am sometimes but different factors in my life and in my art have changed that.
I think getting frustrated while making art,,, is essentially PART of it lol. Sometimes it's impossible to avoid that kind of slump every once in a while!! and it's okay!! I think being an artist is being able to push by these. and like you said, with more practice you WILL eventually get better!! you HAVE to be bad in order to get good!! and that is such a beautiful journey to go through.
But going off of that, that is why we have to enjoy what we're drawing, and why we have to enjoy what we do... not as an obligation but as an outcome to the fact that you are creating art!! lol I woulnd't create 55 hour pieces if I wasn't in love with the idea of it, and that's the same motivation and thought that keeps me moving!!
I deffo agree with u anon 🥺 YOU ARE SO SO RIGHT!!! and I'm gd you took your time to understand that lesson!! I am still learning it lol, but sometimes we come into realizations of stuff and this one was one that had me stumped for a bit so I had to share it on my blog hehe. Don't apologize about ur response being long 🥺 you got your ideas through so well, and I understand what you're talking about dawg!!! you are so right
I hope you peace and happiness following you and your art journey!!💖✨❤

Artist Process Post
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Some process pics and behind the scenes for my Sam and Dean Costume artwork 😄:
My usual style for digital artwork is free-hand painting. I usually either build a reference scene in a 3D modeller or I draw a messy concept sketch from reference photos to get my basic shapes. Next I do a neater sketch on a new layer in Procreate and turn off my old concept sketch layer. After that I draw block colours on a layer underneath my sketch layer, before finally painting the shading and detailed features on a new layer over the top of it all. I use this process because I am a self-taught digital artist coming from a traditional art background. Plus I just really like painting 😄 - laying down colour in freehand brush strokes to build up my picture - it lets me adjust and change my ideas as I go (pre-planning is not my forte! 😅). However a lot of digital art originated in animation and anime styles, so it uses line art and colour fills in closed shapes to produce a much cleaner style. I thought I’d change up my regular process and give that style a go here and I’m really proud of my novice achievements 😄
I still started with a sketch of the boys. I drew the poses and body shapes in blue, using classic superhero poses and musculature. Then on a new layer I added the costume details in red. (I had loads of fun with this stage, it took me back to teenage me who used to draw comic book heroes instead of doing my homework 😂)
Tumblr media
Next I lowered the opacity of my sketch and did some line work on a new layer. The trick here is to try and draw clean smooth lines in a single stroke and to make sure that the lines meet so that shapes are closed. (Later on you select individual closed shapes and fill them with colour, but if you have left gaps in your lines the colour floods out into other areas or fills up the whole page.) My lines aren’t the smoothest (I messy sketch for a reason! I have very shaky hands!!😂) and they also don’t have much nuance to them (lines should vary in thickness to add emphasis and flow to the design) but I was just pleased my work was neat-ish and still looking like my concept! 😄
Tumblr media
The next stage is flat colour. This is a straightforward stage if you have taken time on the line work. I selected the areas that I wanted and used the fill tool to add my chosen colours inside the lines. (I also painted a freehand background to add atmosphere before I started on my shading.)
Tumblr media
The final stages I did were shading and lighting. I drifted back towards my traditional painting style with the shading. Anime styles often use single colour shadows in block shapes, or gradient overlays to add depth, but instead I clipped my shading layer over the top of my flat colour (clipping a layer prevents you from accidentally going outside the edges of the layer below) and hand painted shadows, tone variations and highlights with freehand strokes and a blender brush. The final layer on top of that I used the hard light setting to paint on glows and shine.
Tumblr media
And that’s everything. 😄 All in all this took me about 8 hours but that’s because I’m incredibly slow at line work 😭 (I spent soooo much time erasing and undoing crappy lines) and because freehand painting my shading layer is much slower than using block shape shadows - but I would need a lot more practice at that to make it look good, freehand painting is slower but it let’s me cover more of my errors as I go 😁. So while this art style for this pic is still not as clean or as efficient as typical anime/animation style digital artwork, I’m really pleased with the look of it compared to my usual loose style.
P.s. if you hadn’t noticed, I’m not an expert! This is not a tutorial, this is just an explanation of how I did this this time - and I’m learning more every day. If you wanna learn more about digital drawing from people who know what they are doing you can check out amazing artists like @kirathehyrulian and many others. 🤗
Stay awesome and happy Arting my friends

Hiii i just wanna tell you I'm absolutely in love with your art! Like as an artist I eventually decided to go into stylisation (which I do prefer for myself) but your art is something like how I dreamed I could be as a pro, it's so freaking beautiful and i love your colour choices and the amazing lighting. I think I always thought of painty art as being a messy thing, and being not being linear (I learned from my art teacher that that choice isn't actually what most people do going into that kinda art and it's usually more precise than i thought, but I digress.) And your art SO encapsulates what I have thought for a long time is the best kind of painting! It's definitely hard to pick, but I really, really love how you do hair and eyes. Your hair is always so flowy.. it feels abstract and messy in like a good way and it feels like hair if that makes sense! And the FREAKING EYES AHHHHSH THEY FEEL SO CONVINCING IDK?? It really feels like I'm looking into somebody's soul when i look at them, they're just so there.. it feels hard to get out into words properly but it just all looks so right, sort of messy and a bit blotchy in the way there isn't really any soft blending (that sounds rude I think haha) BUT
SO,
FREAKING.
PRETTY.
I really don't know the word for it, but it's like you look from afar and blur your eyes and it could pretty much be a photograph but even that doesn't feel right because it's so much better???? And it's actually so cool how you use the stray textured strokes to sorta pull out the colours and make these really awesome dynamic lines! Sorry I think I'm rambling a bit but this just feels so important to say, I honestly think.. it really feels as if you've put so much passion and heart into every piece and it's tangible, It almost feels like poetry to me.
Sorry again for rambling, I've been thinking about sending an ask for a while, so it felt a bit hard to articulate (Or write out) but I really think your art is something special, and I'll be watching for it for a long time. ❤❤❤❤❤
Oh my, anon! Thank you sooooo much for all the kind words!! This really made my day and will probably be the highlight of the week or month for me!! 😭😭
I-- I just don't know what to say? Words can't describe how I feel right now. But I appreaciate knowing there's someone out there who loves my art!! It means the world. 😻
And don't be worried about sounding rude or anything. I do take pride in the messiness of my art. 🤣 So I totally know what you mean. I'm always trying to make my paintings less rendered and less perfect. Hahah.
I hope you have a wonderful day ahead, anon!

About you asking for Christine x Erik asks: Yes, hello. For the love of god hi! Please tell me more about your head canon for their dynamic in general (or whatever you want to talk about) but also imagine Erik’s reaction if Christine ever takes up sword fighting. The man would be going feral with how much he is simping. Would probably write a whole Opera about how glorious Christine looks while skewering her practice dummy dhajasnsn this is not at all inspired by that one pirate Christine art
My hc for Erik and Christine’s relationship varies, its kinda complicated. For example, Ramin and Sierra’s interpretation I find the most shippable and enjoy pondering about post-Final Lair. So if we’re just talking about Erik x Christine in the ALW-verse, I’m basing it off RAH, cause I love what they do with the characters. I love how touchy Erik and Christine are, I love how messy it is, I love *that* ending even though it hurts my soul, I LOVE how awkward Erik is. Ramin’s Erik is so awkward, but it’s also sexy and I feel like him and Christine would have some interesting conversations and soft moments if shit didn’t go bad so quick. I think watching RAH made me so frustrated (in a good way) because they look so beautiful together but ERIK MY DUDE, please just have a normal conversation with this woman and not jump to conclusions.
But at the same time, Emilie is without a doubt my favorite interpretation of Christine, while Ramin is still my favorite phantom. So, in like Modern AU situations, I’ve been basing my writing ideas off of their Erik and Christine being together, which I think would be a lot of fun: Ramin’s nerdy and reserved but passionate Erik vs Emilie’s warm, confident and excitable Christine. Erik does his sardonic theatrics and Christine’s like “Ok that was something but do you wanna go to Target with me to get groceries?
BUT ALSO: I do like Christine and Erik’s with an age gap. A good 10-15 years. Like Christine being 23+ and Erik mid 30s to early 40s. Before people start coming at me. As someone who’s in her early 20s that finds older people hella attractive but wouldn’t want to date them cause of the obvious power imbalance, enjoying Christine and Erik fills that gap. I love fics where even though Christine is younger, she has a strong grip on Erik and has a lot of power in the dynamic. Watching men, be deeply in love with women is a passion of mine, and I think they fit it in really well. Also love an older Erik that’s a bit husky in shape. Giving DILF real ness.
Overall though, these attributes exist in all my Erik x Christine dynamic hcs:
-Christine is very outspoken
-Erik is a simp
-Christine is trying out new hobbies and ways to express herself (sword fighting, dying and chopping off her hair) so that she can have an identity outside of music
-Erik is her #1 supporter in her endeavors
-They’re attraction to each other can be overwhelming, and it’s what causes initial conflict. They get lost in each other to the point they ignore other relationships and their friends confront them about it. Erik doesn’t understand the problem but its Christine who explains why its not healthy or sustainable for them
-Erik has a lot of issues and is also doing everything in his power to manage his problems. He often struggles with Christine choosing him and has a lot of insecurities, but he doesn’t put that on Christine and instead is learning to use other avenues for stress-relieving than Christine or music. He talks a lot more with Daroga and takes up non-music hobbies like cooking and crochet. (Now when he’s having a bad time, he makes a mean triple chocolate cookie)
-Christine is healing from her grief and it’s a emotional process: She misses her Dad but also realizes that her childhood wasn’t the most stable. She realizes that she’s been looking for this stability in her relationships, which isn’t necessarily a bad thing. However, she’s uncomfortable being with herself. So, she’s learning how to exist in her own.
- Erik and Christine are messy, but they love each other and they love their unique connection. Both are committed to putting the work to make this last.
And heck yeah, love Pirate Christine so much!

So...
1. What are you currently reading
Rico, Oskar und der Diebstahlstein by Andreas Steinhöfel; Stone Butch Blues by Leslie Feinberg; and still Twilight bc I couldn't get myself to pick it up again since the last time I was asked this question 🥸
2. Best movie I've seen in the cinema last year?
Honestly? Actually Puss in Boots - The Last Wish. I immediately fell in love with the animation when I first watched the trailer and when I went to see the whole movie I was completely carried away by the story too! I love this movie so much. Kitties and puppies 😭😭💞
3. What do you usually wear?
In the summer? Button-up/t-shirt + shorts + funny socks + crocs
In the winter? Sweater (with something collared underneath) + high-rise jeans (in any color with any leg width except skinny jeans) + funny socks + docs or crocs boots + the purple winter jacket I got from the h&m men's section only a few weeks ago but I've been wearing it non-stop bc it's exactly the kind of jacket I've been looking for for years and I finally have a cool functional winter jacket in my favorite color!!! 😩🤌💜💜💜
4. Star sign? Celebrity etc. you share your birthday with?
Leo, and I share a birthday with the episodes Eclipse Lake from The Owl House and Wishmaker from Miraculous Ladybug 😌
If we're going with real celebrities like singers or actors.. I was born exactly one day before Tristan Göbel :-)
5. Do you go by your name or nickname?
Depends. My close friends and family mostly call me Lenny, but I always introduce myself to new people with my birth name.
6. Did you grow up to what you wanted to be as a child?
Even as a child I never knew what I wanted to be and I always wrote "weiß ich noch nicht" in that empty space in the Freundebuch, so basically yes bc I still have no plans but now I'm studying languages 👍
7. What's something you're good/bad at?
I'm pretty good at crafty and creative stuff like crocheting, sewing, drawing and all that. Also learning new languages comes pretty easy to me, but I'll probably withdraw this statement after I've gotten back the results from my uni exams that I have yet to write...
Something I'm really, really bad at is being consistent with something. There's always something I'm forgetting and when it comes to important stuff like uni I often can't get myself to even open the uni website on my laptop as if I was paralyzed. Ahaha, anyway on to the next question...
8. Dogs or cats?
See, I'm the person who claims that they like both. And y'know I do like both. When I see someone walking outside with their dog I'm the one excitedly squeaking: "SCHAU MAL EIN HUNDI!!! :-)", but when I see a cat I get even more excited and in my head I'm like: "!!!!!!!!!!!!" bc I don't want to make too many loud noises and scare it off (you know I wanna pet that kitty!!!)
9. If you draw/write, or create in any way, what's your fav picture/line/something you created this past year?
The tiny Sendung Mit Der Maus-Maus I crocheted :-)
10. What's something you'd like to create content for?
Tough one. First of all gzsz bc I'm basically the only funny fanartist they have. I mean I've seen some artists drawing realistic portraits from screenshots but that's why I say I'm the only funny one out there. Anyone can redraw a screenshot but I'm the only person willing to draw Maren and Katrin or Michi and Tobias kissing, so even if my sketches look messy and I post so inconsistently that I'll never get more than 3 notes on something I still think I'm doing a more valuable job than people who redraw something that's already happened only for the sake of flexing how realistic their artstyle is. (It's a different story tho if the redraw is stylized!!! There's so much personality to stylized art!!)
So... To come back to the original question. Gzsz definitely, maybe some crossovers like my ml au as well shhshshss, Miraculous Ladybug in general, also Osomatsu-san or Owl House and all that stuff I'm currently watching. Tschick. Yeah.
11. What's something you're currently obsessed with?
Just scroll through my blog for a while.
Besides that? Crocheting. I love that you can do it while watching something, so I feel like I'm doing something useful even while watching AWZ 😩
12. What's a hidden talent of yours?
Nobody peels mandarin oranges and clementines like me! I always peel them in a spiral pattern and almost never fail!! 😤💪
13. Are you religious?
Nice try Gretchen. I'm not gonna answer that.
14. What's something you wish to have at this moment?
Right now at this exact moment? Nothing really. Bin grad wunschlos glücklich, als hätte ich ein halbes Erdbeermarmeladebrot mit Honig verzehrt und würde mit leerer Gedankenblase irgendwo rumliegen und den Rest meines Tages genießen 🍯🍓🍞
Tagging @tofufei @midnightxxcrisis @9puppiesdrowninginapool @jofngve and of course everyone else who wants!!! 😸💕

Thank you for asking!
Hetalia Ask Game
What got you into Hetalia?
I honest to god don't remember anymore. I somehow must have stumbled over it somewhere and thought "Oh! An anime about countries and history!!! How COOL!!!" I remember that I definitely still watched it on some German anime pirate site called proxy dot to or something.
6. How has Hetalia affected history for you?
Not at all, if I'm truthfully. I've always absolutely loved history. Ancient history especially, all thanks to my mother. I wanted to become an egyptologist when I was in primary school, then an archaeologist and since I was 14 or so, 'history professor' was the avowed goal. These days, I don't exactly know what I'll end up doing, but it is definitely within the field of historical sciences and everybody pray my school keeps up its super cool Masters programm that basically qualifies you to work as a public historian.
Hetalia has definitely opened me up more to contemporary culture and a wider interest in the world. I love the manga for its tidbits still, even if I don't save them as genuine information lest I looked them up myself. And writing fanfiction really gives me an outlet for my curiosity and encourages me to learn about the world! I can apply knowledge to stories about charming, little characters and because I want to write about all the charming, little characters, I have concrete avenues within which to seek out knowledge about other parts of the world! I love it, it's really cool.
(Also, I did bring my Hetalia mangas to school and had my teacher read them. Luckily, he found it very funny and in retrospect, it was much less cringe than you'd expect.)
However - I think people who create historical hetalia content are very cool people and put a ton of effort into their things. But I do think that Hetalia isn't a very good tool to really discuss history. It starts with how you define a country. Is it the concept of a modern nation state? When do states start? What is the difference between peoples and states? Do they represent solely their peoples or also their government? To which degree can they act independently? If you asked me on how to write historical - or even contemporary - Hetalia correctly as an exploration of the world, I would have you write a clear definition of your terms at the beginning of each fanfiction. The same way you have to define the terms you're using at the beginning of a book or paper. This is the only way that the history then depicted can be correctly interpreted and analyzed by everyone who engages with it.
'But isn't it just historical fiction -' It is not, because historical fiction deals with fictionalized events and real people, not with personifications of entire countries. Difference. I do think though that both hetalia and historical fiction can be a great way to make people emotionally attached and attuned enough to something that they then start to care about the facts. I tell ya what, I don't care much for American history, but Hamilton got me into reading a wholeass Wikipedia article on the whole scandal. Historical fiction, especially if it's popular, does make its own statements regarding the past and the present and has its own stances, which then shapes public discourse. It's still art and needs to be treated as such and 'historical accuracy' often misses the point. But it is art and not historical scholarship.
History is very, very complicated and messy, by virtue of it being a product of human existence. Trying to cram that into a human being is impossible.
26. Who would be the one character you would love to meet?
Oh, hm, good question! They're all rather silly, though, aren't they, by virtue of it being a comedy slapstick manga. I could say one answer for solely not safe for work reasons, which I won't. But it starts with T and ends with y.
I think I'd like to meet Romano somewhere in South Italy. The man is so fretful and self-conscious in the manga, I'd just wanna show him that I don't think his self-worth as a country is tied to the economy. Find Salvini parassita grafitti and approve of it. Eat cannoli and Neapolitan street pizza and enjoy the place I love the most on earth right after my homecountry.

Least favourite things to draw?
Skinny characters. My characters always have to have SOME sort of meat. I didn't enjoy drawing skinny people but I'm learning how, also still. THAT is because I'm fat and always used myself for point of reference when i started drawing. It's why I love drawing big soft curvy people/draw them often when I get the chance. Most white OCs and people with little noses and dainty features. Like OCs and characters that look like. just some guy you find at Ross. As well as anything too anime-esque. It's so. Boring to me. I hate same-face anything or features that repeat too much and are seen All The Time. Hope that makes sense
Another least favorite thing of course is like, backgrounds, but I'm actually getting a lot better with that.
Feet/Shoes. Don't like feet they gross me out and I wanna get good at drawing shows so i don't have to think about them ever. Shoes are so fucking HARD
Anything you haven’t drawn yet but want to?
Dramatic perspective things, more sensual character interactions that feel deeply personal, tarot cards
Which artists inspire you right now?
Currently too many to name off the top of my head right now, but @/arcanegold , @/kikisshh, and @/kroovv are my top favorite artists (on twitter)!
Biggest artist pet peeve?
Artists that complain about art and say their art sucks. Just stop doing art if you're just gonna complain? Why moan and groan over lineart if you don't NEED to do lineart or colors or rendering for something to be considered a finished piece? It's your art! You make the rules! Have fun! Get messy! Make it enjoyable! You're not legally require to sketch > lineart > flats > shade in that order! Or even have all of them at all.
Does this count
