One Romantic Date, Hold the Awkward was my NaNoRenO 2022 submission! It was the first time I had ever led a team. And it was the first time I've ever gutted the UI as extensively as I did to build it from scratch. My focus that year was project management and UI design.
At the eleventh hour, I had lost some of what I was working on. Thankfully I managed to redo everything I lost and submitted before the deadline! I was so proud of myself and everyone that had a hand in working on this!
Dear 5+ asks I have had since last saturday which I wont be answering individually cause I don't want to put a target on your back:
Don't send me messages asking about GITM updates without reading my bajillion posts/ANs on the subject.
'not trying to be rude' - well you are being rude, actually, friend. receiving these messages doesnt make me feel good. In fact, it makes me feel very bad. If you spent half the effort it takes to write an ask actually reading the information I have already given people, rather than demanding a personalised answer, then we would all be a lot happier.
Another reminder, a bit louder for people in the back:
My chapters are now 12-15k words each for gitm, because of this I am now following a 3 weekly update schedule. I work full time and write for hours every evening. If that is not good enough for you, you can kindly fuck off.
Allow me to explain: I want to watch any and all Murder Drones episodes blindly without knowing or seeing anything on them. In fact, that's how I enjoy watching this show. Why, you may ask?
Because that's how I first watched the pilot.
I knew literally nothing about it. I didn't know who voiced in it, what it was all about, who created it... nothing. I just saw a thumbnail for a show that had to do with robots on the internet, and decided to watch it on a whim.
I was blindsided by everything. The first thing I did when N spoke was to very loudly exclaim "MICHEAL?!" And you know what? I enjoyed what I saw! It may have taken me two separate occasions to finish, but I enjoyed my experience watching it!
Did I know episode two came out? I was hyperfixating on something else at the time, so I only found out about it months later. And like with the pilot, I knew nothing about it. I hadn't seen any teasers or anything on it, so once again, I was blindsided by everything I witnessed. So on and so forth, for each and every episode.
It was easy for me not to see anything, because I didn't have reliable internet at the time. Therefore, I was completely unaware of release dates, I didn't see any teasers, I didn't see anything for any episodes.
Obviously, I could not avoid the one featured in GLITCHX, so it was unavoidable and is therefore the only exception to this rule. I am willingly choosing to commit to how I watch these next episodes, because it's been an enjoyable experience for me to get slapped in the face by every episode of this series so far.
And I'd like to keep it that way.
Okay, this is turning out longer than I meant it to be, so let's get to the point I wanna make: while this is the first news we're getting in a long while and it's certainly exciting, I am purposely trying to avoid seeing it so I can continue enjoying it this way.
Anyway, here's N playing the trumpet as an apology if I came off as aggressive at the start there. :3
wait shit was it murder drones related i blacked out when i wrote this

Bob Dylan really feels like it belongs on mania. maybe not sound wise but in terms of lyrics and themes. oh boy. like it's the over the top expression of lust and obsession. I don't know if I can really call it love. heavens gate. church. last of the real ones. hold me tight or dont. They're not love songs they're obsession songs. songs when you're so throughly obsessed with someone that you'd wish they sneak you into heaven while you pray for them. Bob Dylan is when you're so thoroughly obsessed with a person you don't SEE them as a person anymore. they're a celebrity, a well loved one at that. someone who is so universally loved and adored. you need that person to obsess over you the same way a fan obsesses over Johnny Cash. you love them so much you need to be buried with them. you throw all your shame onto a billboard for everyone to see and beg to be loved like how everyone loves Bob Dylan. you want to feel worshiped and adored by this person. you want them to obsess over you just like how you obsess over them. and isn't this something we've heard before? you used to obsess over living-- but now you only obsess over them.
Me to me: don't get your hopes up don't get your hopes up don't get your hopes up don't get your hopes up don't get your hopes up don't get your hopes up don't get your hopes up don't get your hopes up don't get your hopes up don't get your hopes up don't get your hopes you toei has burned you so many times before you know better than this don't get your hopes up don't get your hopes DON'T GET YOUR HOPES UP
Also me: Hopes? High. Delusions? Strong. Theories? Brewing.
