I've been seeing some not exactly bad, but like... sour takes as im calling them about the world of home's relationships with each other as friends? Like, saying they aren't exactly as close and kinda rude to each other.. I'm not sure what audio you guys are finding for evidence of that? Like, ya'll know friends can tease in all lighthearted fun, even though it sounds mean with no context outside the joke?

Plus, I kinda like that this neighborhood have foils and imperfections in their personalities that can coincide with their friendship! For example, Sally can come off as full of herself and seems to look down on the "little people" like the way she calls Eddie a simple "Mailman" like she's ringing up a butler! Barnaby is LOUD and tends to interrupt. Naturally, he's used to speaking like this as he's an entertainer! And howdy is majorly implied to be a fast talking liar, all for simply making you buy more stuff! Frank is about as sassy as we all expected, so I don't mind him being a little rude.

You can be rude, vain, loud or sassy and still manage to be a good friend! Our differences is what makes us human, and that's what Clown and the VA team did a good job of! Making these puppets seem more human than fictional!

As for the neighbors suddenly changing their tone when they remember Wally is with them, I imagine it's more of a "whoops! we got so involved in our conversation, we kinda left Wally hanging! Sorry we left you out!" kinda way. Like.. the few audios came across as more genuine asking a question, or making sure to involve Wally in the situation since to their knowledge, Wally is sitting on the sidelines, looking kinda forlorn. It's why we're in Wally POV until the audio cuts off as soon as he hears his name. It just kinda snaps him out of that trance. They all genuinely love Wally so much!!!

After the last poll I made, it was clear that all of you really wanted to see Flamewire! So, here's his concept!

She is not a Decepticon, and she's very adamant about that. Not a Decepticon, no sir. However, his wares are open to anyone who wants the information he has in stock. Deception or otherwise.

Information gathering is his specialty, but her...other services are open as well for an extra fee. Assassination isn't cheap you know! It costs his time, money, skill, and her chassis if things go wrong (not that they will). Better pay up or stop wasting his time.

Flamewire was closest to Dropdash before the war broke out, but now it's pretty safe to say that their meeting would go horribly. Dropdash is incredibly loyal to the Autobots, so knowing that his brother would work for the enemy would enrage him beyond repair. Flamewire would probably have her goons escort him away if they met. He has a reputation to uphold, and she's not going to let her brother get in the way of that.

Kinda don’t like how it looks but I just wanted to just capture the ending bit. Ashstar trying to figure out how to get his boyfriend back into the real world and in the meantime just trying to be a alright leader to not get too much attention. He’s at the gathering just listening to the other leaders endless blabbering until he looks down and sees the new cat, what was their name? Shadowpaw? Doesn’t matter but when he looks down he notices the little fluffy dark gray tabby isn’t looking at him, but instead locked eyes onto the cat curled beside him. The ghost of Hawkfrost who he swore only he could see. Now isn’t that interesting?

(ID- Ashstar is sitting looking straight at the camera, he is a pale gray spotted tabby with spots around his chest like a pearl necklace, on his nose, and between his face stripes. The striped and spots are a dark blue gray and goes completely down his tail. Lighter gray is down his chest and in the right side of his muzzle and up his nose. On his forward is a yellow star. His eyes are dark blue with yellow schalera and light yellow shines in a Star shape. Behind him is Hawkfrost, mostly a dull brown color with a massive cream mane, and inner ear tufts. His eyes are a icy blue with a slice of pink in the center but most notably in the middle of his chest is a Star just like on Ash’s forehead but dark magenta, like it’s cut out of him. Haha, but no. Everybody has their own story ideas in their own ways. Mine would be no good to anybody else. I can only recommend the same thing that would generate any stronger story - consume a lot of highly diverse books, shows, movies, news, etc. Watch Hellraiser and the Seventh Seal back to back and have the weirdest dreams of all time. A lot of my stuff is built off a place of "this is a retro Kid's WB cartoon!" or "this is a Disney Channel Original movie!" or "this is a satirical war novel!" or "this is an issue of a vintage comic book run!". I have a PBS kid's programming Zoboomafoo-type idea in my head that would only work in a webcomic form that I can't write and it makes me SO ANGRY that I can never realize this vision.

In terms of me, personally, and how things end up working for me. Jokes with friends, overwhelmingly. Very often one idea will spring another - for example, I think I got the idea for New Wave when I was writing the prophetic spring and I ended up constructing a Steph & Bruce relationship that was a) really interesting and fun to write, and b) made me think about how Steph would have been fucking perfect as the first Robin for a million reasons. Covid puppy story was really as simple as a "What if...?" about a Batman arc in the 90s, plus a lot of jokes. Mostly jokes. TBH, most of the time, reading/watching something and going "this is funny, but it would be much funnier if...". Most of my fic is from consuming something I find vaguely mediocre yet enjoyable and riffing on it relentlessly until an actual full concept emerges. So often my brain is just "I want to write Spider-Man 2099 fic but I don't know WHAT to write" and I just have to. Wait til I find a good idea. Shit just happens.

But also I can't explain much. I read a volume of the origin story of Green Lantern Kyle Rayner and then my younger sibling woke up to 80 Discord messages about my perfect complete redo of Kyle Rayner and how I would write the best Green Lantern four season TV show of all time.
