Loud House Season 1 Scorecard by raidpirate52
More in depth thoughts under “Keep Reading”.
Left in the Dark: It's an alright introductory episode. However, similar to the first Danny Phantom episode, it doesn't really explore much and as we go deeper into the series, there's not much rewatch value in this one. Nothing bad in this episode in my opinion, but no real favorite moments here either. I give the episode an average "C". Get the Message: I thought this message Lincoln left for Lori was hilarious.  Also, the twins acting like hall monitors was amusing. However like its sister episode, there's plenty more to offer as the show goes on so I also give this episode a "C". Heavy Meddle: I was hoping they would subvert the whole "they pick on you because they like you" plot. It honestly would've made that alone have me grade it higher. Instead, they made me give it a grade lower. This episode gets a "D". Making the Case: The footage Lincoln digs up on his sisters, and later on himself to make up were hilarious. Also, like the ending where his sisters are finally proud of him is what I like most in episodes, where they all support each other. The first "A" episode of the series. Driving Miss Hazy: Sure, times when Lori acts as a bossy sister it's a bit grating, but I found it amusing in this episode where she's afraid of losing her "only one in the family who drives" privilege. My favorite part was when she struggled with the laundry and it all fell on her.  The make up at the end was good between Lori and Leni and this was a solid episode. I grade it a "B". No Guts No Glori: To follow up on Lori's bossy side, this was a bit better at portraying it. She has a point in being the only one to keep the house in order as Lincoln proved it would otherwise be chaos. Lots of laughs in this episode, I give it another "B" rating. The Sweet Spot: Another episode full of laughs ("That was my first car *wheeze* and my dad's first car *wheeze* and his dad's first car!"). The only thing keeping this from an A was the siblings didn't make up in the end and had a "Here we go again" ending, but other than that, I truly enjoy this episode. I grade it a "B". A Tale of Two Tables: It was a nice contrasting episode of Lincoln interacting with his younger and older siblings. The ending is definitely the best part with all the siblings getting along. Any time that happens, it's a favorite. I grade the episode an "A". Project Loud House: Personally not really a favorite of mine. Not much memorable to me. It's an average episode. Nothing bad, but nothing that stands out really. Kind of has an average slice feel to it. I grade the episode a "C". In Tents Debate: The episode had its humorous moments, but doesn't really make any attempts to stand out. I give this episode a "C". Sound of Silence: Seeing Lincoln's attempts at finding peace and quiet to have it ruined in the most ridiculous ways was funny. Was also pretty funny what his sisters put him through for ignoring them. Didn't feel as mean spirited towards some other episodes. It's one of my favorites and I always enjoy it when it's on. I give this episode an "A". Space Invader: One of my favorite episodes of the season. I really like the bond between Lincoln and Lynn in this one. Later at the end we get a sweet moment of the three middle siblings, Lynn-Lincoln-Lucy having a food fight then sleepover. One of my favorites of the season/series. I grade this one an "A". Picture Perfect: A great episode with an entertaining conflict and a perfect resolution. I like how this one ended more than Sweet Spot because the "Here we go Again" moment was more friendly banter than rage. So I rank this episode an "A". Undie Pressure: A great episode with all the Loud kids hanging out on rainy day. A cute competition to see who can go without falling into their habit the longest. The part that solidified the "A" rating is Lola of all characters to recognize they should all live with each other's habits. Linc or Swim: I find the episode overall entertaining but I feel Lincoln got a bit mistreated by the narrative. A pool for one a pool for one so his sisters hogging it before he gets a chance is a justifiably time for him to call them out. Regardless the ending was another sweet moment of the family, and as I said I do enjoy the episode. It ranks a solid "B". Changing the Baby: There wasn't really anything I liked in this episode. The ending with Clyde was pretty cringey. It isn't the worst episode in the series, but there wasn't anything in this episode I care to go back for. I give this episode an "F". Overnight Success: An entertaining episode highlighting the Loud House antics at night. First episode to introduce Liam. Memorable, but doesn't really have any grand moments better episodes bring. The episode gets a "C". Ties That Blind: How far can a misunderstanding go? A full episode. Another one of my favorites from the season. I give this episode an "A". Hand-Me-Downer: Another episode that gives some good moments between Lynn and Lincoln. Also a bit of early installment weirdness as Rusty is introduced...as one of the jerks. I like the ending with Lincoln giving his bike to Lana, but I didn't feel this episode brought much. An easy to overlook episode if you ask me. I give it a "C". Sleuth-or-Consequences: I do like seeing Lincoln and Lucy interact with eachother and they do so for the good majority of this episode. One of my favorites, easily worth an "A". Butterfly Effect: Even in a show with a premise of chaos, this episode was just too random for my enjoyment. I don't mind skipping this one. There really wasn't anything I liked in this episode. I give it an "F". The Green House: Not as bad as its sister episode, but this one isn't much better. Only part I liked was the running gag with the polar bear. Other than that, when these two episodes air together, it's one to skip. Give this one a "D". Along Came a Sister: I liked how Lincoln was understanding of Leni's arachnophobia and how she ended up saving Frank the tarantula in the end. Another part I liked was the joke of someone asking "Does Leni know about this?" Only for another sister to come in until all but Leni are in the room.  But other than that, a fairly average episode. I give it a "C". Chore and Peace: Has some funny moments, and it was nice how the Loud kids put aside their strikes to try to find Lily. I give the episode a "B". For Bros About to Rock: Giving it a "B" might feel like an underscore for most fans, but there wasn't much for me to get into in this episode. Other than the amusing thought of a mall jail, and it was nice for what Luna did for Lincoln, just an above average episode for me. I like it, but not a favorite. It's a Loud, Loud, Loud, Loud House: Great family chaos, but feels average to some of the better episodes focusing on the family. The ending was great, but felt repetitive throughout most of it. I give it a solid "C". Toads and Tiaras: My favorite episode of the season! Lana taking of Lola at the beauty pageant and for Lincoln to learn to let Lana be herself. I thought it was amusing how Hops gave Lincoln a look of disappointment to make him feel guilty even more.  Then of course Lana wins by being herself, while cliche, was still sweet. Obviously giving this one an "A". Two Boys and a Baby: An episode looking after Lily should be a good one, but it isn't really, unfortunately. Fairly mundane. A shame because it's the second half of my favorite episode. I give this episode a "D". Cover Girls: It was definitely funny watching the siblings get tangled up in trying to be a different Loud. Special mention goes to Lana being Leni: "And I got a new deal for half off, which is weird because none of it was missing." A fairly ending too though Lincoln's was kind of cringey, kind of why I didn't grade it higher. A "C". Save the Date: Kind of stupid getting into the conflict from Lori and Bobby. Though the moments between Lincoln and Ronnie Anne aren't that bad. Still seemed like a dumb plot for an episode, but I still think there's moments that make it okay. I give it a "C". Attention Deficit: This was an episode I had to rewatch a few times to really like. I really did like when Lincoln said "My sisters aren't trying to hog the attention, they just want a little attention too" as it's a good reminder that the other characters are just as much characters as he is. I give this episode a "B". Out on a Limo: Perhaps my most unique opinion but I truly liked this episode. I loved seeing Lincoln as a smug little shit and it was equally satisfying watching him get what he deserved. Likewise, the best moment was Tetherby getting squirted with mustard by the Louds at the end. The ending may have been a bit rushed, but again, nothing in the episode felt mean-spirited and it was nice the girls forgave Lincoln in the end. I always enjoy seeing this episode. I give it an "A". My second favorite behind Toads and Tiaras. House Music: The episode had some nice moments, like Luna making up with the rest of her family and apologizing to Lynn Sr. A good episode to the season, I give it a "B". A Novel Idea: I thought it was funny seeing Lincoln try to sneak away dressed like a girl, and it had some good mother-son moments, but overall it felt okay. I give the episode a "C". April Fools Rules: Yeah, the first of the infamous April Fools episodes. I have to admit I don't "hate" any of them, but this one is probably my least favorite of the bunch. Lincoln showing to be selfless is why I don't give this a mediocre score and instead give it a "C". Also Leni following the kitchen sign was pretty funny. Cereal Offender: Quite the chaos for one little grocery store. Lily pushing the baby cart was adorable. Lincoln having a rival in the episode was amusing and it was satisfying watching that brat get dragged out of the store by his mom. And solidifying the "B" grade is the sisters getting their brother his cereal at the end after realizing their selfishness. Lincoln Loud, Girl Guru: I liked the concept to the episode. With a more stable cast now I feel this episode could be more interesting with a redux. Still enjoyable, got some solid funny moments, I give the episode a "B". Come Sale Away: An episode focusing on the Loud sibling rivalry but luckily doesn't feel mean-spirited. Another episode where they put it aside to help Lily out which is sweet. Still feels like an average episode though compared to the rest of the season. I give the episode a "C". Roughin' It: Compared to other "I need to be a macho man" (like Dipper vs Manliness for example) this episode wasn't all that bad as it showed how growing up with 10 sisters made Lincoln who he is and how he uses his sisters knowledge to help him out in situations. Another episode I don't mind seeing, but not one I'm most eager for. This episode gets a "C". The Waiting Game: It was entertaining seeing Lincoln talk Lori into getting him free stuff for Chandler and Lincoln realizing Chandler was a selfish jerk like he was acting to take place for Lori so she could go to her dance was a nice moment. Speaking of Chandler, despite him being a selfish jerk, I still found him entertaining. He's one of my favorite non-Loud characters. How far he was going to be a freeloader was more funny to me than making me hate him. Maybe it was his smug expressions I found more funny than hateable. I give the episode an "A". The Loudest Yard: Football! It should be a great episode! Yeah, no. Not sure where to begin. Only part I liked was the Peanuts reference and Lynn offering to help Lincoln and the gag of her throwing mud in his face, but just about nothing else. The episode introduced us to Hawk and Hank, probably my two least favorite characters and two characters who deserve the reputation fan fic writers gave Chandler. One of the worst endings to the series in doing the "wrong way for a safety" cliche. Dislike this episode but not enough to say "I hate" so I give it an abysmal "D". Raw Deal: The episode is fairly boring and I've seen other shows do the "overreacting to bad luck / bad fortune" better. Every step of the way in the episode just felt dumb. Couldn't get into this one. I give it an "F". Dance Dance Resolution: An episode that gave some focus on Lincoln's friends, a first in the series. So I like this episode quite okay. Not one of the better ones of the season but it's still good. I give it a "B". A Fair to Remember: It was nice seeing Lincoln bond with Bobby as hasn't gotten much older male influence to the show until now. I definitely liked that more than Lori using Clyde of all people to try to get Bobby back. I give the episode a "C". It's pretty average against the rest of the season. One of the Boys: So this is a pretty mixed bag episode in the fanbase. Overall, I do like this episode, but I do recognize its flaws, which is why I give it a "B" instead of an "A". Yes, it was rushed and yes the brothers weren't exactly diverse in character. However, I argue that's mainly because it was rushed. If you were to just watch "Heavy Meddling" you might think the girls were all the same character, so I think its unfair to say the boys are all just a bunch of Lynns. I feel with more time we would see they're a lot more alike their counterpart more than the episode let on. Another thing is, Lincoln is who he is because he was raised with 10 sisters, so I think it would've been interesting how different he'd be if when entering the dimension, he becomes who he'd be if he spent his whole life with 10 brothers. He wouldn't have asked Leon to kiss his "boo-boo" or cared about Bun-Bun. I probably would've changed it to he would automatically come back to his dimension (or wake from his dream) and realize that he's going to grow up with chaos no matter what. Some people don't like the stereotypes, but like, have you ever been around a group of guys? Even if some guys don't roughhouse on their own, put them in a group of with other boys and more often than not they'll join in. So that aspect never bothered me. I still enjoy this episode overall. One last thing I'll say I disagree with the fanbase is when they say the brothers were just jerks they completely leave out the first half where Lincoln enjoyed it. Again, it was to point out that his life wouldn't be different so it's best to have what you got, it was NOT that brothers are awful. A Tattler's Tale: One of my favorite Lola episodes. It was funny that she got her siblings to do what she wanted, despite their humorous objections. In the end with it showing she only wanted to hang out with them and took the fall for their secrets is a nice nod that she's not the selfish brat she portrays herself as all the time and does have a heart. I give this episode an "A". Funny Business: A make up for April Fools Rules for Luan. Definitely a better spotlight episode for her. I liked the attention going to Lincoln's head and he had to find out the hard way that not one form of comedy will work with every audience. It was nice for Luan to bail Lincoln out despite his behavior in the first half of the episode. I give the episode an "A". Snow Bored: While we got a good episode with Luan, it's followed up with a terrible episode for Lisa who acts as an insufferable genius to wet blanket snowdays to an obnoxious brat to her siblings with snow to learning nothing in the end. Terrible episode. I give it an "F". The Price of Admission: My least favorite of the season. Lincoln getting scared of everything got old fast. And it was pretty stupid that the two options were a scary movie and a Barney ripoff that Lincoln and Clyde are way too old for that it just felt cringey watching. This episode gets an "F". One Flu Over the Loud House: I mostly only like Leni in this episode. It was nice she cared for everyone and offered them various treatments. The zombie apocolypse parallel kind of missed its mark for me, but I say it's an average episode. I give the episode a "C". Study Muffin: The sisters aren't at their best here. Not to mention Lori joining in on the flirting despite dating Bobby. There's nothing I like in this episode and it doesn't have any saving graces for me. I give it an "F". Home-Spun: I mostly remember the overuse of the word "dang it" in this. The conflict is resolved very quickly, and just overall a pretty meh episode. Not bad, but nothing good either, so it gets a "C".
