One of my biggest pet peeves is the justice league being labelled as " The Avengers of DC" and its like. No? The avengers are law enforcement. The Justice League are volunteers

#its like -- captain america is the staple of US military and Superman is a public servant #the one avenger member who has no bounds or legal obligation is tony and its bc hes rich. you could argue that he actually lost #autonomy when shield recruited him because like. protection isn't necessary tied to 'good.' the avengers protect the planet bc sure #its what they believe in and feel like its their duty and yada yada but ultimately they're self serving and most of their #help is accidental. i say most of bc we've seen they abstain from getting involved unless they have a common interest #with dc its like. you have these people in a position of privilege (having superpowers -- which gives them a spot of advantage to ppl who #dont have it) who do the right thing because they WANT TO. and they can stop at any time because nothing stops them.#they COULD say 'yeah you're on your own. we don't really care anymore. duces!' but they Dont.#because through its many flaws dc realizes that goodness isn't only a choice -- its a responsibility #theres probably better ways to say this but. alas #batman #superman #wonder woman #green arrow #aquaman #the justice league #tjl #justice league #dc #dc comics #text #text post

feel free to add more, I just think it's funny that there's at least 3 musicals that have a 'high school is extremely bad' song and in 2 of them multiple teenagers die and in all 3 multiple teenagers get grievously injured. like they weren't kidding that high school really do hell.

at any given time i am thinking about clark and kara having lil kryptonian nicknames for each other

clark calling kara 'kri-a' (portmanteau of kara and the prefix kri- meaning light)

kara retaliating with 'kal-kir' (little kal) or 'sojebkir' (little (m) cousin but the word for cousin is already diminutive so adding on -kir makes it like 'little tiny cousin' instead). and him firing back with 'sejebkir' (f) because they're BOTH the little tiny cousin actually

but they can both agree that kon is OUR little tiny cousin ('sehjebkirkah' (gn))

when he's being overbearing she'll be like 'oooookay tonth' and he goes -_- about it (something like...bossman? pretty sassy. you’d never usually genderize the word tynth so masculinizing it emphasizes he’s being overbearing in an annoyingly Guy Way)

also that panel of kara calling cat a snagriff (literally a bad tempered species of dragon, probably something on the level of asshole) is near and dear to my heart i think she calls bruce this sometimes and clark with an annoying-on-purpose well-actually tone of voice on goes wem khahp nahn zhod ghimkir (i think he is just a lil bat)

and also just calling each other 'kara-te' and 'kal-te,' the familial possessives. my kal. my kara. grammatically this would be MORE formal instead of less formal but consider: i don't care. and also they're the only family left to each other [for a while]… no one else left to use those particles….

Long time followers know I’m a cranky brown woman and one of the things that makes me cranky is the use of American South West aesthetics without homage to the Indigenous and Black Americans and Mexicans that invented the aesthetic. My Cecil is Native (and your question should be “which tribe?!” But I haven’t decided yet. I’m pondering.) He started going gray when he was a teenager and had fully white hair by the time he was 25.

I'm saying tempted as in "i've already asigned every DE charcter i would put into the musical their own roll".

I have Kim as Paul, Harry as Emma and i assigned characters to Evrart Claire and fucking Captain Pryce too.
