Hi there, you can call me Shai, Xary, bon or whatever name you have met me. My pronouns are whatever. I have lived +18 years on this planet (not telling my specific age or gender). I'm portuguese. Started drawing as a hobby in 2021 and this blog is the place I'm gonna post my stuff. I use other socials medias. I got a twitter, devianart and bluesky accounts but not very active on those. My name there are same as here, Shaibonbon.

Don't be afraid of doing asks. I do warn, If it's a drawing request don't be surprised if I don't respond. I only draw as a hobby and my time is limited... Things I like are...bunnies, cats plus playing videogames. I love space too. I'm extremely shy person (yes, name being Shai wasn't a coincidence), nor very social. I do like to talk with people, I try my best. After this lackluster introduction where I told basically nothing about me. Here the actual interesting thing I assume u might wanna know. BonBon! Or Bonbon, or just Bon...

So who is the purple Bunny? She is between an OC and persona. Basically a lot of her personality defects are based of me but amplified, double or 3 times the amount. While there are characteristics that I took from me and just inverted. Mini Bon is the younger version of Bonbon (-18), her age depends on each drawings but she usually is early/teen age. Mini Bon whole personality has basically nothing to do with me irl. Or at best it's the complete opposite. Here what you can say it's the "ref sheet" of Bonbon and mini Bon

If there's lore? Oh there is lore! A lot of lore that I keep in my head and never tell anyone. I wanna draw it tho. So I will say the obvious. Mini Bon is the happy silly girl with no care of the world around her. She just wants to have fun and do what she feels like it. While Bonbon is the grown up version of her that got her hopes and dreams crushed by reality of life. Living with the burden of failed expectations, the crushing weight responsibilities and all the physiological affects that brings, like anxiety! It must feel great.

If you had the opportunity to [safely] become a cyborg via body upgrades, would you take it?: I’m not sure. Too much dystopian sci-fi, I guess. Sometimes yes, sometimes no, but (even though this isn’t a question here) I’d rather be a shapeshifter. Though, if I get legs that can change height (aka I can sometimes be 2 meters high, and sometimes 1.5 m), then probably. Wings too, maybe…

woah my first post! nice! includes some concept sketches as well! she’s pretty much a revamped version of my mha oc i made years ago  i’ll prolly do a cleaner ref some day bc this one is messy asf lol written character template i used can be found here

Quirk

Quirk Name: Easter Bunny

Explanation of Quirk: Since Usagi has an animal type quirk, she can do pretty much anything a rabbit can do. This means that she has an extremely fast and high jump, as well as heightened senses and incredibly fast. 

Along with this, Usagi’s blood contains high amounts of sugar, which allows her to create specialized sugary goods or create structures or weapons. (Think Momo or Todoroki for each example it’s a hard quirk to explain so i’ll draw some examples later)

Fighting Range: She does better in close range fighting but can do long distance attacks depending on how much sugar she’s consumed beforehand.

Fighting Weakness: However, if Usagi consumes too much sugar, her blood sugar levels will spike up, causing her to have heavy fatigue, blurred vision, and headaches. But, if Usagi uses too much sugar or energy, her blood sugar levels will decrease drastically, she will become lightheaded and weak. She must keep her blood sugar levels stable, other wise she’ll become useless in battle.

Fighting Strength: Usagi is incredibly quick so she’s hard to hit- she tries to analyze her opponent’s limit and attempts to drain them of energy, making it much easier to fight them. Her legs are especially strong, so if she’s forced into close combat, her legs are her best bet to win.

Appearance

Height: 152cm (5′0″)

Skin Tone: light olive

Eye Color: candy apple red

Hair Color: taffy pink fading into a banana yellow

Hair Style: a thick, fluffy disaster that makes her head look 2x bigger than it is 

Facial Features: A soft chubby face with lots of peach fuzz. Intense, big and round eyes- they always seem alert to the world around her. Her smile is always determined and smug, usually wide grins that show off her tooth gap. Very bunny like!

Body Type/Figure: She looks curvy, especially around her stomach and thighs (where she carries her weight). Though she looks soft and squishy, she actually has a lot of muscle mass in her biceps and calves. 

Scars: She has some on her arms and legs from fights with villains, as well as from the Sports Festival. Nothing too prominent though.

Piercings/Tattoos: three black rings on her left ear.

Distinguishing Features: large, pink bunny ears protruding though her hair, and her large, intense looking eyes.

Personality/Characteristics

General Personality/Mood: Though she is incredibly ambitious and creative when it comes to her fighting and hero work, she’s also extremely self conscious about her appearance (though she covers up her insecurities with a badass, almost arrogant, shell). She’s been known to be a bitch at times, but she does care for others around her- she’s just compensating. 

Temper: SHORT LOL- in more detail, it doesn’t take much to annoy or frustrate Usagi. She’s short-tempered and it’s incredibly clear.

Strengths: She has a way of encouraging others to do their best, whether it be through pep talks or her actions, she always tries to get her classmates to do their best in order for them to keep up with her. 

Weaknesses: She attempts to hide her true feelings through humor and pushing people away, which makes her incredibly explosive person. When her feelings are hidden for long enough, she has a tendency to take it out on herself, making herself feel worse.

Goals/Drives/Dreams: She wants to be a badass hero- her personal inspiration is Mirko, the Rabbit Hero. Despite her quirk and appearance being cutesy and “weak”, she wants to prove that she can be the #1 hero. 

Fears: Usagi is scared of her peers or the pros she looks up to seeing her as weak and not good enough. She wants to be number one and prove herself to be a resilient and brave hero, and if the people around her can’t support her, she feels as though she can’t succeed. 

Likes: sweet and spicy combinations, competitive environments (ex. video games), large things she can sleep on (huge beds, chairs, etc), energy drinks

Dislikes: meat, overly affectionate people/when people compliment her appearance unless it’s an s/o, but that’s unlikely since she pushes ppl away, dramatic and overly confident people

Skills/Hobbies: baking and playing video games

Quirks: she tends to tap her foot incredibly quickly after eating large amounts of sugar, kind of like Thumper from Bambi lol

Extra Information

She’s pretty much 2-A’s Bakugou- though she’s a lot nicer than him, she can be kind of a bitch at times.

She swears like a sailor lol.

She secretly LOVES getting head scratches, especially behind her ears! Don’t EVER do this without her consent- she’ll kick you in the stomach.

How to turn a photo into a pencil sketch in Microsoft Word

First, to show you what you’re in for since this’ll be a long post:

Here’s what I ended with

 I started out with a picture of a jackalope. You’ll want a picture with a lot of details and a fairly high definition-- no visible pixels. I tried with an axolotl picture earlier and it turned out lame-- too smooth a body

see? that was the best I could do before I gave up.

So my first step is removing the background, and this one is the slightly more complicated way of doing it, but in an occupied background you have to

To the side, you can see I copy/pasted the same picture so I could have a ref. So click on picture-> Picture Format-> Remove Background and you get this pink stuff. The pink stuff will become transparent, the stuff that’s white will stay. You have to draw on the picture until it gets it, and warning, this part can be VERY frustrating (I use this tool a lot)

But draw on it until it looks right (You can always press Keep Changes and if it doesn’t look right go back into the tool and fix it)

And now it’s just a floating bunny! That in itself is pretty awesome. But we’re sketchi-fying this.

First I usually crop it cuz the new image will usually be smaller

Now, you should grayscale it

Fix it up in corrections. Sharpen it and fix brightness and contrast. This is always different but play with it until the details are sharp. It’s okay if it looks unrealistic, this is turning it into a drawing.

Okay, so I already have the tool over on the right open, but to get to it yourself click on Artistic Effects Options, and then go to the bottom right where it says Artistic Effects.

Click the little image thingy and select an effect. The best I’ve found is “Pencil Grayscale” but “Pencil Sketch” also works. It depends on the picture.

Here’s how they can look different.

But wait. Those effects were there, why did I have to go to options?

See those two slidy scales? That’s how you get it to look right. FIddle around with the scales until you like how it looks.

Bunny sketch!

You can be done there but I’m a little crazy. So here I went to Design->Page Color-> and adjusted it to an off-white. So it looks like aged paper.

What might happen if you do this is it becomes obvious that there’s white in the image. How’s you get white on yellow paper? (I forgot to take a screenshot when I first did this ignore the tiger to the side)

Go back to color->More Variations and click on the same color you used for the background

Now, look at that bunny drawing!

Remember how I said that was the more complicated way to take the background off? When you have a picture with a solid color background like my tiger here

it gets a lot easier

Go back to color, click “set transparent color”

My mouse moved to take the picture. But click on your solid color background

And it’ll make it transparent! This is also useful if at any point the background color stands out from the page.

Here’s my sketch. But I don’t like the hard edge along the bottom, you don’t sketch like that. So into Remove background

Yikes, it’s all in his face. But that's okay, that’s just the transparent part, when you exit it looks fine:

Look at him! He looks great!

And that’s all I got! Hope you enjoyed and learned something! Explore artistic effects, color options-- transparency can also be useful, along with soft edges. Experiment with some of the stuff here, there’s a bunch of different uses! 

Oh, if you have trouble positioning your picture on the page, try right click->wrap text-> in front of text (or behind text). If you have that on you can move it anywhere on the page, but if you want text around it you might have to adjust accordingly. The Wrap Text one is good. You can also put it in a textbox.
