Question from chat: “Hi Jeff and Mike, when will Dragon Age 4 be shown and released?” Jeff: “Yeah, I mean, I expect it will probably pop up this summer. I don’t know when it’ll be shown is the real answer, that’s the, let’s get that out, I don’t know when it will be shown. I assume it will be shown sometime this summer. Could happen at any time though. It will be released this year [2024], last I heard. That is, and they’re pretty confident about that, doesn’t mean it’s a guarantee, could slip, but right now, internally, they expect to release it later this year, which is why I took it in Fantasy Critic”.

Straight up had a dream last night that DC revealed that Bart and Kon were dating and it was in the WILDEST FUCKING WAY.

K, so picture this: Clark needs someone to fly around disguised as him for a plan. So Clark goes through the options in his head: Bruce can't fly, MM is off world, Jon is too much of a twink to be believable, Kara is blonde, Kon is.... Perfect! With a person in mind who would be perfect for his plan, Clark flies off to find Kon.

Cut to Judy Garrick zipping around the Garrick's house. Joan is quietly scrapbooking at the kitchen table and Judy is bored out of her mind. Judy asks Joan if there is anything she can do because she is so unbelievably bored.

Joan responds, very calmly, that she can hear "your brother's boyfriend touching down in the backyard, so why don't you go ask him?"

Judy's face jumps from emotion to emotion as three things are revealed at once. 1) Joan considers Bart to be a son and thus, Judy's brother, 2) Judy's new brother is not straight and 3) Bart has a boyfriend who is in the backyard.

So Judy immediately runs to the backyard and is stunned to bump into Clark (who was there looking for Kon) and then the dream continued on with the two of them hunting down Bart&Kon (who were just at school being normal goddammit!!!) but the entire time Judy is secretly out for blood because she thinks that Joan was referring to Clark and that this adult man is trying to date her new little brother and Judy keeps trying to kill him but it doesn't work because Clark is Kryptonian (and oblivious to the attempted homicides).

Anyway, wild dream all around.

[awakens from my thousand year slumber] pseudo-tangled au inspired by Crowley insisting Gabriel can't go outside — Beelzebub, knowing that Gabriel is somewhere in the bookshop, goes to scope things out before Shax's invasion, and runs into Jim, Aziraphale's clueless, idiotic, cute human (?) assistant.

Jim, wanting to see The Outside, but scared from Crowley and Aziraphale's warnings, promises Beez that he'll help them find Gabriel (he probably thinks Gabriel is a type of book, especially since Beelzebub never seems to hear him when he tells them people call him Gabriel) if they can safely show him The Outside.

After eluding a frantic Crowley and Aziraphale, running from the police (how was Jim supposed to know he couldn't just walk out of places with Shiny Things??), seeing the strange and wonderful things The Outside has to offer, dancing at a Human Music Festival, getting Jim better clothes, and Jim somehow saving Beelzebub from being tracked down by heaven, Beelzebub finds themself reluctantly charmed by the silly, strange human (??)

#there are so many gorgeous passages in W&P that i could pick #why not this one in which Andrei reflects on several of them? #I've already talked about the Natasha and the moon passage on this blog. truly one of the most beautiful scenes I've ever read in any book #but part of what's so interesting about that scene is that we actually get it from Andrei's perspective. he's listening below the window #and overhearing Natasha that night is really what makes him love her #it's what made /me/ love her #and he carries that experience with him alongside his own experience looking up at the sky on the battlefield at Austerlitz #Napoleon himself sees Andrei and commends his courage but Andrei barely notices because the sky is so so beautiful #the lofty heavens which he never really considered before #but Natasha did #and so it's those moments his friendship with Pierre this old oak that renew his lust for life #life is not over at thirty. once i heard a girl exclaim at the loveliness of the moon and wish to fly away. #once i lay on a battlefield and all i could see was the beauty of the sky #and my friend Pierre believes in the future and he's searching it out #and look. this tree is still here #first time i read W&P i was honestly so relieved that so many people got happy endings the tragedy of Andrei's death didn't fully register #i mean the chapters concerning his death are beautiful and sad. the kinship between Natasha and Maria at his bedside #the peace he finds as he dies #but it really is a story in which he had decided to live fully only to die young. and that's become increasingly tragic to me as I've grown #happy birthday tolstoy #russia where are you flying to? #pontifications and creations
