Part 1 | Part 2

People tend to forget that Sun and Moon are literal items. They have no free will, no choice, no freedom, nothing at all. Everything that can be in their possession, can also be torn away by the company and they won't be able to do anything about it. And the worst thing about it all is that they need to believe they're nothings here because if they don't it will crush them. Their opinions? Nothing. Feelings? Never existed in the first place. Memories? It belongs to Faz co and to them only.

What will happen if you treat them as equals? Denial. They cannot let themselves believe you. Because if you're right... the reality is a very cruel thing.

This particular comic is part of a storyline where the dca physically cannot have romantic feelings.

Yet.

As much as I love the sweet fiction I also love the cruel realism. Programming is a very simple thing - if you don't put something in the code, it won't appear by itself. The daycare attendant is not programmed to be able to love.

But self-operating AI can learn. Especially when someone wants it to.

The virus makes them feel a lot. Probably too much. It's a new program, new commands, new triggers, new opportunities to push the boundaries.

It doesn't make them feel love of course. But they think that it does. It feels like love to them.

Not like they know how it's supposed to feel anyway.

And while Moon tries to embrace it, to feel, to understand...

...Sun hides. But not from his feelings, he hides from the fact that the virus affects him as well.

It can't be true. Why would he be dangerous like Moon? No, if he ignores it, it will go away. Moon is the one who's broken. Sun is totally fine, everything will be fine. He will make sure of it.

For Moon's part, he's fed up with hiding. It's always him who's in the shadow. But with the virus?

Freedom for Moon. Control for Sun.

AI will learn.

#Kirby #Kirby fanart #my art #comic #Meta Knight #Dark Meta Knight #Sailor Dee #Taranza #sorry it took me so long to finish this page but it’s finally done #I hope that the title of the comic makes sense to everyone now #I called it Knightfall in Dream Land because the knight fell into Dream Land lmao #the parts of the comic set in the present are occurring around the time of Return to Dream Land #so the gang hasn’t met Taranza yet and isn’t aware of Floralia’s existence #but since Meta has a long fall to the surface I’d imagine he’d probably crash through Floralia on the way down and pass by the mirror #I tend not to give specific ages/age numbers to Kirby characters in my fanart/fan AU #the first reason for this is that different characters probably age at different rates since they’re different species #and the second reason for this is that I don’t see years between game releases equating to years passing for the characters #I mean just look at Adeleine she’s still a kid in Star Allies even though that was released almost two decades after Crystal Shards lmao #instead of giving characters specific ages I headcanon them as being in certain age ranges #so in the present Kirby Bandee and Sailor are all kids (and Bandee and Sailor are a bit older than Kirby)#I also see characters like Gooey Adeleine and Ribbon as being kids too #while characters like Taranza Susie Magolor Marx and the Mage Sisters are young adults #and characters like Meta Knight Dedede Daroach Captain Vul and Hyness are older adults #but in the parts of the comic set in the past Meta Knight and Dedede are young adults and Taranza is a kid #and Kirby and the Dees are babies #the older spiders shown here with Taranza and Sectonia are OCs of mine who are their mothers #their names are Lady Theraphoza (Taranza’s mom) and Queen Rachnia (Sectonia’s mom)#I’m giving Taranza some backstory since HAL refuses to tell us anything about him except he’s sad about Sectonia lmao #this post has too many tags but maybe I’ll make a separate post with my Spider Lore

if escape rooms as team building exercises became popular im not sure if id be more excited or terrified

#if it isnt already anyway.. i can see it happening as a school frosh thing. idk if it would catch on as a workplace thing #i kind of find the concept of being locked in with strangers and working to find a way out weirdly exhilarating though #at least compared to icebreakers cause i dont have to spend 10 minutes racking my brain for something to blurt out abt myself #as a bonus u could like. put people into groups and give prizes to whoever escapes first second third etc. apparently they also do themed #escape rooms.. maybe let people pick a theme? or voluntary sign up? actually this would be really fun for smth like a blind friend date #although if i found out i was locked in a room with an online friend id be too excited to actually escape LOL #ive never done an escape room before so sadly i cant speak from experience. its like up there on things i want to try next to rug tufting #workshop and visiting new art exhibits or conventions. i seriously need to get out more if it wasnt for the horrors <- school and anxiety #i was planning to invite cass to a drop-in art workshop in town but neither of us could go bc typography is making us go thru hell and back #AND THEY HAD A BUTTON MACHINE TOO #im nostalgic bc i miss working in groups and not being awkward abt it or worrying abt schedule conflicts #i realized that i learn best in groups and its a little corny but i like sharing ideas and talking through a problem #in elementary i could just sit down with friends for review and come out of it energized *and* more familiar with the material #and i could technically still do it now. but as adults we're more picky abt who we work with on top of being way more busy outside school #maybe im lonely. im shy and grew up not talking to ppl unless i absolutely have to so its hard to make friends on my own i guess #only thing getting me thru it is telling myself that humans like helping and that my cringe is overblown in my head. but its hard #hence the escape rooms. i have been able to talk to 2(!!) people though!! mostly abt school stuff but im glad to be on friendly terms #i dont really know how to be happy these days cause im constantly scaring myself abt my portfolio and finding places to work #not being ambitious is part of not wanting to put energy into something that wont work out while also not having the passion to do literall #anything else.. i should probably talk to my counsellor ugh #yapping

third one is a failed design(yay!) where it was meant to be just. some clothes he threw on, but it looked too. formal? worky? so sCREW IT. he gets a new gi at some point in juniorjago! The fourth is what i ended up going with for this next arc that will EVENTUALLY come about.

well hold on, if we define a character flaw as any limitation a character deals with, regardless of whether it's something Morally Wrong With Them or not, then Ford's paranoia counts as a character flaw since it does in fact negatively impact him and the people around him. Let me use better wording here: I will die on the hill that Ford's paranoia is not a moral failing.

#'i'll die on this hill' one second later: un-dies on that hill on a technicality #godsrambles #one way in which i probably differ from ford is that i could not care less about winning any arguments all i care about is being accurate #people are right about a lot of fords character flaws actually. the part they are wrong about is which ones are Moral Failings #and also people misinterpret his motivations and intentions behind things. but the flaws themselves? sure yeah people can identify those #unpopular opinion but i think ego is fine on its own too depending on how you define ego. case in point: papyrus. yknow the skeleton #it only becomes a problem when you're putting other people down. which i dont think ford is guiltless of but. the others do that too #idk sometimes when other people go 'omg... ego moment :/' im like 'a chance to hype eachother up! yay' i dont assume im being looked down o #unless thats specifically demonstrated to be happening #but the thing that kills me is that stan constantly puts other people down. but since he doesnt idk have an ego or talk weird its fine??#i very much agree with dipper when he replied to mabel with 'ford doesnt make fun of me all the time like you guys do'#and like once again. to each their own #some people see that level of making fun of people/being made fun of as just friendly banter and thats fair enough #but i really appreciate that ford isn't like that

finished the new walter moers book last night, and i loved it. it is not flawless - some of it feels a bit too familiar within the series - and he may perhaps never again reach the heights of Rumo, City of Dreaming Books, and whatever Der Schrecksenmeister is called in English, but it feels like a return to form. it's less about plot and more about dabbling in the sending up of northern german island culture/tourism, but more focused, more engaging, more Zamonien than, say, whatever Prinzessin Insomnia und der albtraumfarbene Nachtmahr is called in English, or the two thinner volumes of Zamonia novels that felt more like writing exercises than actual writing.

#walter moers #german stuff #zamonien #SOME people have the theory that Moers is not Moers but rather a collective / someone else writing and the writer of the first five novels #as stopped writing them #which i find very weird #and dont believe #MY theory #and this is really nothing but a theory #is that moers has some sort of mega writers' block perhaps brought on by 'external' reasons like illness (or depression or sth)#which is why he a) had someone else draw Prinzessin Insomnia and write sth that is definitely not Zamonien #b) afterwards wrote those two thin books which as mentioned felt like exercises of trying to get back into it #and c) also sorta why the second part of his two part Dreaming Books sequel has still not made it out after what. 12 years?#including i think changing publishers after the first of them? or around that time at least.#we will never know probably #but this makes me hopeful for a future of the series #maybe even that sodding second part.

So let's go let's go:

I will forever fight for the idea that Mario is the biggest tickle monster when it comes to Luigi. Tickling him when he needs some cheering up, squeezing his sides when Luigi is feeling too nervous and need some encouraging to do a task or a little less ox anxious thoughts in his head, poking and poking and dodging from Luigi's protesting hands only to scribble on his tickle spots until he is ""convinced"" to join Mario in another adventure (he was already going to do it on the first place, but sometimes he can't help but pretend to put a bit of a grumpy fight), getting random tickle hugs just because Mario felt like a tickle monster today...

BUT

I think Luigi is the king of accidental tickles.

Sometimes he doesn't even know what he is doing! He is already very physically affectionate so it's only natural that when he pokes and prods Mario's stomach sometimes his hands will slip and hit a tickle spot without meaning to, or when he gives him a big hug and a nice squeeze his fingers will accidentally dig on his sides or he will try to give his bro an encouraging knee-squeeze it will just lay right on that place that makes Mario snort and etc etc

He doesn't even realize it, most of the time! He seems to have a hidden skill to find everyone's secret tickle spots because everyone swears that they weren't even that ticklish before knowing him the first place!

But, here is the thing: Luigi is playful, and quite determined too, especially when it comes to the people he cares about.

So he may get one or two unexpected giggles w his tickly accidents, but, the moment he realizes what is happening and why the person he is hugging is smiling and tittering? Ohhh, it's over! Rip rip

That only makes harder for Mario because the tickles are already the most unexpected as they could be and you add having to hid your surprised squeal to not activate your little bro's inner tickle monster? Good luck w that! Rip our dear Mario fr qgfwdwvwhvwfwc

Toad gives me the vibes of someone who would start tickle fight in the most unappropriate moments (like when Peach is in an important, royal meeting and can NOT start giggling non stop in the middle of it, EXCUSE me, Toad) and use his heigh and speed to NYOOOM his way out of trouble and hid behind Mario, who is more than ready to accept anyone's fight as his own and have like 50/50 of chance to help him to escape/tickle the person (especially if that person is Peach because.... her ... her giggles ♡) OR help to catch him. Toad is laughing like a gremlin the entire time XD

sokeefitz au where keefe is a magician, fitz is his assistant (who also learned how to sword swallow just to occasionally upstage keefe at his show's because he's petty but doesn't know how to pull a quarter from someone's ear), and sophie is marella's newest friend that's getting dragged to one of keefe's magic shows and holy wow ok marella was not kidding about the magician and his assistant being hot. cue keefe pulling roses out of his sleeve for sophie midshow because he knows a cutie when he sees one (after getting a subtle okay from fitz, who is his boyfriend but most people only know about the childhood friends part). and fitz getting to know her after the curtains close and asking her if she wants to hang out sometime. and keefe crashing that meetup when it happens halfway through because he can't help himself and knows fitz won't mind.

and them becoming friends that hang out a lot outside of shows, and sophie being keefe's most reliable regular. that DEFINITELY aren't flirting, marella, c'mon, fitz leaving out scarves for her to steal at their apartment she now frequents more than her own and learning her favorite treats to bake for her and keefe constantly throwing his arm around her and complimenting her w/ ten million winks is strictly platonic in this context
