Took another week, but faaaaak I'm very pleased with my first attempt at baby.
I don't know how a centuries old dragon can be cute baby to protecc at all cost... And swoon-worthy at the same time. But here we are, and if anyone hurts Vrtra I will rage.

Already it seemed years to Pippin since he had sat there before, in some half-forgotten time when he had still been a hobbit, a light-hearted wanderer touched little by the perils he had passed through. Now he was one small soldier in a city preparing for a great assault, clad in the proud but sombre manner of the Tower of Guard.

The sword is heavy in your hands, your palms sting as you try to swing it high above your head. God, how on Earth does your Orc boyfriend do this?
The blade gleams in the sunlight as you huff, releasing your grip on the weapon. It drops to the ground with a thud. You wipe your brow using your aching arms.
"And what do you think you're doing?" A low voice grumbles. It reverberates through your chest, but you aren't afraid.
"I... I just wanted to..." you pant, looking around to see your boyfriend standing just a few metres away from you, arms crossed and looking rather amused. "To see if you could give it a swing?" He finished for you.
You nod and your boyfriend rolls his eyes. "You'll lose your head trying to lift a weapon like that, not that you should need one." He walks over and picks the sword up and off the ground, as if he was picking a flower from its stem. He tosses it from his right hand to his left.
"This one is not suited for a humans' weak muscles." He chuckles in a low tone, "but here," Encircling you in his arms, he takes your right hand.
He places it on the grip, then covers it with his own right hand, all but making your own vanish under his green flesh. "I've got you, don't worry," he reassures as he lets go his left hand.
The weight in your own hand doubles and you nearly fall forwards, but your Orc Boyfriend's grip on top of your own remains strong, allowing you to steady yourself. "See? With my help, you can lift a sword... Not that you need to be using one anyway."
You look around in time for him to catch your lips. After the kiss breaks, he leans his forehead onto yours, "leave the fighting to me, my love. I should be the one to protect you, not the other way around."
