Finally revealed to the public this morning, the four members of VENUS who filed to terminate their Flowerbank contracts are Jung Yoonah, professionally known as Baebi, Chloe Lee, Klara Blix, and Kim Sena. The four members successfully terminated their contracts under Flowerbank with the help of high profile lawyers provided to them by none other than Tanaka Hana, former idol now a board director at Mydol Entertainment.
"Though we tried to find common ground with Yoonah, Chloe, Klara, and Sena they were strong in their stance in leaving the company. We will not hold anyone hostage under our label therefore, we have released them from their contracts." — Carmen Bae, CEO of Flowerbank Entertainment.
Despite the contract termination being mutually agreed upon, court documents show Flowerbank attempting to copyright multiple Venus properties such as "Baebi", "Klara Blix", and "VENUS" as well as attempting to buy the masters of Venus' discography. These attempts were made too late it seems as public record shows MYDOL Entertainment owns the rights to the entire VENUS brand as well as VENUS' masters being owned by none other than Son Jinhwa.
With very little shock to fans, the four members of VENUS would sign their MYDOL contracts publicly on April 21st with the entire staff present.
The girls seemed in high spirits at their contract signing though there seemed to be no groupchat discussion on what they should wear.
"We tried many times to get Bliss to join us in this decision but she was more dedicated to our previous company than she was to Venus. We will miss working with her and her talents but we will continue as four. Please continue to support us and Bliss as we go on this new journey." — Jung Yoonah via The Mydol Contract Signing.
The departure of Bliss has been quite the controversial one as Bliss had been with the group since their debut in 2018. Conspiraicies began to circulate due the statements made at Venus' Mydol contract signing as well as Bliss' unusual silence on the matter. Instead of Bliss making a statement, Flowerbank would release on that threatened legal action against anyone defaming their artist.
"It was mutually agreed upon that Bliss would stay with Flowerbank Entertainment and exit the group while the four members would continue as Venus elsewhere. Any other statements made about our artist are unfoundl, untrue, and will be met with legal action." Though this statement seemed to please fans of Bliss, they were still worried for her future. Where will she go? What will she do? Many feared she would fall victim to Actress Disease but Flowerbank would once again soothe their worries with another statment.
"Bliss will continue to work in the idol industry as a soloist. She will be making her debut in the future but for now, she will use this time to rest and heal. She will come back when she's ready. PLease give her patience and kindness during this time." After this statement Bliss would go on to post on her Instagram story, assuring fans she was alright and the decision to stay with Flowerbank was her own.

Still, this decision left fans upset, confused, and conflicted. Despite signing the contract today, Klara has already been seen in the studio with DeepDive's Finn allegedly working on music for Venus' comeback, making fans believe this move was more premeditated than they're being led on to believe. Chloe was seen in the studio with a DeepDive member as well, Noah Son, her typical go to producer for her solo music, leading fans to believe more solo comebacks are in the works.
Much is still in the air for Venus and for Bliss as they start this new journey. Fans anxiously await the girls next move, ready to support them blindly as usual.

Summary / You and Bada are rival choreographers under the same company. Bada has always treated you differently and you didn’t know why. You convinced yourself that you hated her for it. But you’re both forced to face each other one evening when the company elevator breaks down and there’s no where to hide - from each other and ur feelings.

“We appreciate that the two of you are this company's top performing choreographers. That is why we asked you both here today, as we would like to discuss the possibility of the both of you collaborating together to create a new, fresh, but distinct style that will suit our new girl groups debut.”
“I understand. But personally, I believe that my style is enough on its own and does not need additional input to achieve the vibe you are aiming for.”
Bada’s words smack you across the face and you feel your eye twitch. Your nails pick at the fabric of the chair beneath you as you force your anger down, swallowing the words of bile bubbling in your throat.
“No offence of course, to you.” She doesn’t even look at you as she says your name.
Your mouth stretches in a wry tightlipped smile. “Oh no, none taken. I actually feel the same. I’m confident enough in my own abilities. And I feel like collaborating with a dance style such as Bada’s might throw the vibe off entirely - which would be unfortunate. But of course no offence to you, Bada.” You say as you turn to face her, offering an empty smile.
Bada scoffs.
You’re both snapped out of it when you hear the aggressive clearing of the director's throat. “Well, I've heard what you both have to say. As much as I would have hoped for a little more professionalism, we do not have the time to waste trying to force you both to work together. So this is how it will be - the both of you will create your own separate choreographies and will perform them in 3 weeks time. We will be choosing one for the debut. Good luck to you both. You’re excused.”
You both bow and make your way out of the office and into the corridor. You walk ahead of Bada, irritation fuelling your steps as you enter the elevator. You turn to see Bada, a few steps behind you and out of pure pettiness you repeatedly press the button to close the elevator doors.
But to no avail as her long legs play to her advantage and she catches the doors just in time.
“You can’t keep doing that whenever you see me. You’ll break the elevator.”
“Then maybe take the stairs.”
Bada rolls her eyes.
Bada stands beside you, hands in her pockets as she looks ahead.
“My dance style might throw the vibe off entirely ?” She echoes your words from earlier with amusement.
“Yeah. What are you going to make those poor girls do ? Grab their crotches and start thrusting ?”
Bada scoffs and leans over you, a little too close for you liking, to press the button for the ground floor.
You feel her presence infiltrate your personal space like a bulldozer to a glass wall - because to Bada you were as transparent as can be and she could see right through you.
“Big talk coming from you.”
“What the hell is that supposed to mean ?”
“It means that I can see through this act you have going on and that I know you don’t hate me.”
You wish the elevator would surpass the ground floor and plummet into the fiery mouth of hell.
“Go to hell.” You hammer back.
“You didn't deny it.” You can almost hear Bada’s smirk.
You feel the rage rise within you - rage once tamed like the flame of a candle now igniting a stick of dynamite as you feel yourself losing your composure.
“I do hate you actually.”
You spin to face her, eyes locking with hers, the amusement evident within them as she raises a brow.
“I hate how you look down on me.”
You hold your ground, eyes bearing into her soul as you continue your barrage of words.
“I hate how you dismiss me. You have never once given me a chance. I don’t know what I did to you but one day you decided that I wasn’t worth your time or effort. You do not know me, Bada. But you have decided that you hate me.”
Bada’s eyes stare back into yours, void of amusement but replaced with another emotion unknown to you.
“I don't hate you, actually.”
The elevator comes to a stop as it arrives at its destination on the ground floor - regrettably not hell.
“I don’t care about you enough to hate you.”
Bada brushes past you and swiftly exits through the doors without sparing you a glance.
You stand frozen as you watch her leave. Her words bouncing around your ears in a dance of jest.
Only that it wasn't amusing.
In that moment you promised yourself that you did, in fact, hate Bada Lee. And that you would never take an elevator alone with her again.
How wrong you were.
Three weeks quickly passed by and it was the night before the deadline. Despite the fact that it was a Sunday evening, you found yourself back at the company building in hopes of quickly squeezing in one last practice before the morning - and what better place to do it than in the very room you would be dancing in.
You approach the elevator doors and you hear footsteps approaching behind you. You turn and scoff as you cant believe your luck, or lack thereof.
Bada walks towards you, cap donning her pink and black hair as she looks down to her phone, not yet noticing you. You deliberate for a moment whether to shut the doors on her now that she's not paying attention or to suck up your pride and let her take the damn elevator with you as it’s nighttime and you’re probably the only ones in the building.
The angel on your shoulder won and you folded your arms taking a step back to lean against the wall as you watched her approach.
As she gets closer, Bada lifts her head up and her eyes meet yours.
“Oh, fuck.”
“Are you stalking me now ?”
Bada scoffs in incredulity and steps in.
“I guess we both had the same idea.”
“Yeah, I guess.”
You press the button to go up and you both stand there . The sound of the elevator making its ascent fills the void of silence between you. You stand there in disbelief of your luck, wondering if tonight could get any worse.
It did.
The four metal walls begin to quake as a shrill cry of metal scraping together slices through the once silent air.
You feel your body jump in shock as you grip onto the railing. Your head snaps to look at Bada but her eyes are already focused on you - wide and alert as you see her arm almost instinctively stretching out for you.
Before you can register anything, your bodies are bounced around once more and the electricity crackles and hisses before it blacks out entirely.
The elevator comes to a halt and you are both swallowed in darkness.
Bada immediately calls your name, voice laced with concern.
“Bada ? I'm here. I’m sitting down”
“Are you alright ?” She makes her way over to you, following the sound of your trembling voice before she crouches down in front of you as you sit on the ground knees to your chest.
The emergency lights flicker on, your eyes adjust and you blink to see Bada Lee mere centimetres away from you as she looks at you with the most emotion you've ever seen her show outside of dancing.
Bada blinks back at you, eyes staring into yours as she manages to observe how shaken you are. A feeling squeezed at her heart and she internally scolds herself.
Bada quickly rises to her feet. Now able to vaguely see, she takes a couple steps towards the elevator buttons and wastes no time in ringing the alarm.
Silence follows the rings as you both hold your breath, waiting and praying for someone to pick up.
“It’s a Sunday night, there’s probably no on-”
You're cut off by the voice of a man on the other side. Bada lets out a breath of relief and she takes control, explaining to the person your dilemma and securing you both your release.
Bada then makes her way back over to you and you feel her sit besides you. The dim overhead light permitting you to see her but only vaguely.
“Are you alright ?” She says your name tenderly.
You feel your throat tighten and you swallow hard. “I’m fine. Just a little claustrophobic but I'll be alright.”
“The maintenance guy said a minimum of three hours.”
“Yeah . . .” You mutter into your knees as you hold your arms around them tighter. Insecurity crawling its way around your mind. “Sorry you're stuck on here with me. We don’t have to talk or anything.”
“Stop . . . Just, stop.” Bada removes her jacket and places it around you without another word.
You both sit in silence, besides each other. You don't know how long it has been but it feels like forever and you pray that the girl beside you is unaware of the pounding echoing in your chest and the chorus of thoughts overlapping each other within your mind. You curse at yourself for getting into this position; ‘what kind of sick game is the universe playing ?’, you ask yourself.
“You know, when I said I didn’t hate you I meant it.” Bada’s words pull you out of your thoughts.
“Like you also meant that you didn't care about me. Which I can understand, we’re not friends. We don’t really know each other.”
“What if I want to know you more ?”
“What ?’
Bada shuffles in her spot beside you and clears her throat. She begins by saying your name gently.
“I don’t actually hate you. Or not care about you.”
You freeze in your spot, eyes locked on the vague darkness in front.
Bada continues, eyes locked but on you.
“I know that you don’t hate me either. That made everything so much harder.”
“W-what do you mean ?”
“I mean that I needed you to hate me. I needed to act like an ass around you and push you away before we even got close.”
“But why wo-”
“Because I have feelings for you.”
You feel your heart skip multiple beats.
“Fuck. Ever since you walked through those company doors you caught my attention. The way you carried yourself, how hardworking you were and how insanely talented you were - it all blew me away.”
You slowly turned to face Bada.
“And of course, how beautiful you are. I knew that I couldn't have you. I have a rule I've always stuck to which is not mixing work with pleasure. Then I saw how you would look at me and I knew I was done for. So I started to do everything to avoid you and to push you away.”
“Oh how selfless of you.” You say dryly.
“You made me feel like shit, Bada. For how many months you made me think I did something wrong or that I hurt you. You’re such a fucking coward.” You sniffle as you bury your head into your knees.
“I know. I know and I won't deny that. But here now, with you, I’m ready to step up and to face my feelings towards you. I can’t ignore them any longer and I can’t ignore you any longer. There’s been so many times where I’ve wanted to hold you - to touch you. To laugh with you or comfort you. I want to do all of that and more. That’s if you'll accept me . . .”
Bada gently guides your cheek and you let her, turning your head to face her as she holds you tenderly under her fingertips.
You feel heat travel through you from her touches and you lick your lips in nervousness. Bada’s eyes immediately flicker down to meet the sight of them. Her eyes then meet with yours, the both of you allowing the gravity of your attraction to pull your faces closer together.
Lips mere breaths away from each other, your hands find their way to rest on her shoulders as Bada slightly tilts her head and your lashes flutter shut.
“Is this my answer ?” Bada whispers onto your lips.
You inch forwards intending to close the gap.
But the sound of the doors prying open interrupts snapping the both of you out the moment causing you to jump back away from each other.
The bright light of a torch shines through the doors and you turn to see that you are being freed.
You look over at Bada, face a little flushed. Bada clears her throat and rises before offering you her hand and helping you up.
You feel butterflies travel down your arm to your stomach.
You both thank the guy and quickly exit, making your way out of the company doors before you realise that your hand is still in hers.
You blush and attempt to let go but you feel Bada grip your hand firmer as she leads the both of you out into the darkness of the night.
“Come on. I’ll walk you to your car.”
You smile to yourself at her words and you find yourself lowering all of your defences for Bada Lee - the person you swore you hated.

Y/N didn't have a seat for the upcoming Formula 1 season, and that stressed her out quite a bit. She and Charles had been teammates for three years, and she really thought Ferrari would keep her on the team, but upon learning that Lewis Hamilton was leaving Mercedes, they were the first to snatch him up and turn their backs on her.
Now she had two options: give up, pray to sign with Williams or Haas, or outperform herself this season and force her way into one of the top five teams. And for now, she had chosen the second option. P3 in the first race and in the top five in the second. She was extremely motivated for Australia.
Y/N loved the view of the fireworks from the podium, the champagne, and, above all, celebrating with Max Verstappen. Because let's not lie, it was obvious that Max would be on most of the podiums.
They kept their relationship out of the media. Being coworkers, neither of them wanted their relationship to hinder their success in Formula 1, but that didn't mean they didn't support each other every time the other achieved something.
Max had been with her throughout her Formula 1 career. They were the same age, but when Max debuted in the competition, she was still in Formula 2, battling against Albon and Russell for the title. A year before his debut, Y/N got a spot at Alpha Tauri as a reserve driver. It was in that year that Max and she started a relationship, at first quite casual and sporadic until they realized they were too obsessed with each other not to formalize it. And four years later, they were still together, sharing an attic in Monaco and competing together for the championship.
"It's going to be great for both of us, I'm sure," Y/N nodded. Before each race, they had a kind of ritual where they wished each other good luck, hugged, and kissed.
"I see a Y/Nstappen 1-2," Max assured before giving her a long kiss, resting his arms on his girlfriend's waist.
"I hope so,"
"Oh, come on. You're starting fourth, it'll be bad if you don't get on the podium," Max said. He knew her situation in Formula 1 was tense and did everything he could to make her feel good and positive. Max loved racing with her, and if she ended up off the grid next season, he would probably suffer from seasonal depression.
They kissed once more and were about to hug when someone knocked on Max's door to get them to the drivers' parade. They couldn't complete their little ritual, but neither of them gave it too much importance.
They went out to the parade where she was asked about her future in Formula 1, as they had been doing since the season started. That also annoyed her, would it always be like this from now on? Would everything be oriented towards whether she was unemployed or not? She answered with the best smile she could and ended the interview as quickly as possible.
She returned to Max, who was leaning on the fence of the truck they were being taken in for the parade. She leaned on the railing, holding it with her hands. Then Max discreetly placed his hand on hers, making her smile at the contact. Max wasn't very fond of physical contact, but if he could manage to brush against her shoulder, he would, maintaining professionalism wasn't as easy as it seemed.
"How's it going, mates?" Surprisingly, Leclerc approached them to start a conversation, first fist bumping with Max and then with Y/N, pressing his lips a little.
Their relationship as teammates was quite complicated at the moment. She was killing it in the few races that had passed, while Charles was just doing okay. Plus, although when Y/N joined the team, Charles and she had gotten along very well, that year they had been growing apart for obvious reasons.
They talked for a while about the race and expectations, especially Max and Charles, while Y/N disconnected from the situation a bit. Sometimes she was surprised that Charles and Max got along so well.
"Good luck today, Y/N," Charles said before leaving with Gasly.
Y/N blinked and looked at Max, puzzled. "What did he mean by that?"
"What do you mean?" Max frowned a little.
"He wished me luck, as if he thought I needed it," she insisted, biting her cheek.
"Everyone needs some luck, Y/N," Max said, knowing how nervous she could get when something didn't fit in her head.
"He didn't say anything to you," Y/N argued, crossing her arms.
"I mean…" Max tilted his head a little, eliciting a little smile from Y/N. "Don't dwell on it too much, you'll do great."
She loved that, how Max was able to lift her spirits in any situation, getting a little smile out of her. She loved him for that.
The parade ended, and they each went to their garage, fist bumping as a farewell because anything else would cause a stir in the media. In the Ferrari garage, her engineer commented on the strategies that focused on supporting and defending Charles even if he started two positions below her.
She gave Charles a short glance before going to the cars and taking their respective positions. It’s light and away we go. Y/N was so focused on passing Lando Norris that she didn't realize her boyfriend was no longer in first place, actually, he wasn't there anymore. She asked the engineers what had happened; Max had had some problems with the brakes and had retired from the race.
"Don't fuck with me," she said, not fully believing it. "Is Max okay?"
"We don't know, focus on the race," her engineer emphasized.
"When you know, tell me, please," Y/N added, without receiving a response. There had been no accident, no red flag, so he was probably fine. But if there was smoke and sparks, there was always a chance that something had happened to him in the pits.
Y/N took a couple of breaths and refocused on the race. She looked on the bright side; she was third and had a chance to win. A few laps later, she managed to overtake Lando Norris. She pitted, and in the last third of the race, she was in first place. Behind her was Charles, so she thought they would change the strategy, and he would be the one defending the position.
"Y/N, let Charles pass," her engineer said, taking her by surprise.
"What?" Y/N practically shouted. "But I'm in first,"
"They're team orders, let him pass,"
"He's slow! He's over half a second behind me, letting him pass will make me slow down!" She couldn't believe this was happening.
"Y/N."
"If he can overtake me, let him, but I'm not letting him pass. I'm winning this fucking race."
And so it was. Y/N crossed the finish line first, and when she got out of the car, Max was there to greet her with a hug. He tried to make her not notice that there were hardly any people from her team there, but Y/N realized it, and her gaze darkened a little. Still, Charles came second, and when he parked his car, several Ferrari mechanics went to congratulate him.
Max watched Y/N, worried that she would take it badly. But then he saw her exchange a triumphant
look with Charles, who, upon seeing her, turned serious. And if that wasn't enough, she blew a kiss to Charles and then went with Max, who put an arm around her shoulders.
"That was incredible," Max said.
"The race or Charles's face?" she questioned, with an ironic smile.
"Both. I thought you'd be sad because there was no one to greet you,"
"You were there,"
"From your team, I mean," Max explained.
"You and I are a team, Maxie. Have you never thought about that?" She looked at him with a smile.
"You're right, we are,"
"Are you okay?" Y/N asked. "I got quite worried when you DNF’d."
"I'm okay, no serious damage,"
"And emotionally?"
"I'm fine. Proud of you, above all," Max nodded. "Now go celebrate your podium, I'll be watching you from below,"
They gave each other a brief kiss on the cheek, not caring too much about the cameras; she had just won the race, she deserved at least a kiss from her boyfriend. She received her prize with a smile and celebrated the podium with Charles and Lando, more with Lando than with Charles. The McLaren driver had congratulated her countless times that day, but Charles barely spoke to her.
"Are you okay, mate?" Y/N asked, knowing what was coming.
"You didn't follow team orders," Charles said directly.
"Oh, right. That," she shrugged, raising her eyebrows. "You came second, Charles. It's not that bad,"
"Damn, but if they tell you to let me pass, you let me pass. What does it matter to you?" he raised his voice a little.
"What does it matter to you? You have your golden seat at Ferrari. Some of us have to work really hard to have a seat, crazy, right?" Y/N rolled her eyes with a smile and turned around, leaving Charles with a word on his lips.
Y/N reached the interview area, where Lando and Oscar were doing their respective interviews.
"Y/N! You won the race by disobeying team orders, does it feel the same as winning a race fair and square?" a man asked.
"Fair and square? I was fast enough to cross the line first, the rest weren't. I think that's how a race is supposed to be won," she argued. She smiled widely; she saw Max was also around, waiting for his turn for interviews.
"Don't you have any remorse?" he questioned.
"Not one,"
She ended the interview after that; she didn't feel like explaining. As she turned around, she found Max with an almost mischievous smile. They fist bumped, and he went to do the interview.
"Max, can we ask you about the win of your girlfriend?"
"About Y/N,"
"Yes, about Y/N," he nodded.
"I'm extremely proud of her, it's her second victory, and even though I had to retire, I'm glad she won this race,"
"Even given the circumstances of the victory?" the reporter questioned.
"With the circumstances of the victory," Max assured with a broad smile.

I think it was hard but fun to be back as creative director for this album. Stress is among the things I ignore. Let's try and meditate. If a remake were possible, I'd like to remix my first album BANGYONGGUK and make it into an LP.

I like feeling the different atmospheres of each city. It's tiring, but when I meet you all on stage, it seems I forget about that.

Keep challening yourself. Listen to your own voice instead of someone else's advice. I don't think AI can replace art. If you have even just one fan who recognizes you, you're a success. Let's cheer up and love each other.

Hi sorry! I've been reading your book strictly no heroics and suddenly figures out you have a Tumblr! Ive been working on my own short story project and just wanted to ask about how you got it published and such. Sorry if this is a little wild no need to answer.
AHHHHHH gosh gosh gosh, how lovely to hear from you! Thank you! I hope your writing project is going well, and that you enjoyed my debut!
I went the typical tradpub route with Strictly - i.e., querying, signing a contract with an agent, going out on submission, then signing a contract with a publisher. I sent out one batch of queries and got an offer from one of my first picks - a fact I always caveat with the disclaimer that this was luck as much as anything. I happened to have a book that was a good fit with everything my agent wanted, and was, if I dare say so, pretty fucking A. But other books just as epic get passed over all the time. Tis the way of the industry, and a truer tragedy was ne'er known. I'm forever grateful that I got a chance to see my work on the Waterstones shelves!
Sidenote: The previous project I queried... received precisely fuck all offers of rep, so nobody is allowed to use my individual & pretty darn rare experience as a reason to give up - or else I shall bite them. <3
Submission took far longer. America went into lockdown I think... a week after we went out on subs? The industry spiralled, along with the entire world. Thankfully, because of, y'know, that big ol' global pandemic, I had plenty of other things to occupy my mind, like panicking about my declining health, panicking about catching COVID, panicking about vulnerable family members catching COVID, panicking about my job that I might lose, panicking about the possible collapse of society, and panicking about how much I was panicking and whether stress-induced heart attacks were actually a thing.
Despite a few hitches on the way, I wound up selling Strictly at auction between multiple publishers for a decent sum. My agent, Beth Marshea, was incredible every step of the way, as was everyone at Macmillan. And thus, a book was born!
I have to admit, I don't know much about short story publishing. My experience may not be applicable to your own publishing journey, - so please do your own research, rather than using this as advice! But I wish you the very best of luck, nonnie. Thanks for the ask!

The Atlas Six Review
The Atlas Six by Olivie Blake is a 375 page Fantasy novel. The 1st in The Atlas series.
The Alexandrian Society, caretakers of lost knowledge from the greatest civilizations of antiquity, are the foremost secret society of magical academicians in the world. Those who earn a place among the Alexandrians will secure a life of wealth, power, and prestige beyond their wildest dreams, and each decade, only the six most uniquely talented magicians are selected to be considered for initiation.
Enter the latest round of six: Libby Rhodes and Nico de Varona, unwilling halves of an unfathomable whole, who exert uncanny control over every element of physicality. Reina Mori, a naturalist, who can intuit the language of life itself. Parisa Kamali, a telepath who can traverse the depths of the subconscious, navigating worlds inside the human mind. Callum Nova, an empath easily mistaken for a manipulative illusionist, who can influence the intimate workings of a person’s inner self. Finally, there is Tristan Caine, who can see through illusions to a new structure of reality—an ability so rare that neither he nor his peers can fully grasp its implications.
When the candidates are recruited by the mysterious Atlas Blakely, they are told they will have one year to qualify for initiation, during which time they will be permitted preliminary access to the Society’s archives and judged based on their contributions to various subjects of impossibility: time and space, luck and thought, life and death. Five, they are told, will be initiated. One will be eliminated. The six potential initiates will fight to survive the next year of their lives, and if they can prove themselves to be the best among their rivals, most of them will.
I rate this book 3/5 stars.
Took me way too long to understand who each character was and what their abilities were. Even now, just two weeks later, I can't say I remember most of them.
The story itself is compelling in most moments, but there are a lot of slow, dull moments too, which were a pain to get through.
Honestly I was hoping for some more action sequences, but I do really like the reveal at the end of the novel.
Will I be picking up book 2? No. I also removed this book from my personal wishlist, as I don't want it physically. (thankfully my parents didn't buy it for my birthday.)

Okay, so my team lead (47m) was making me (26f) super uncomfortable touching and caressing me every time he walked past my desk. He’s always given me a gross vibe since we’ve been here but today he really turned it up cause it’s his last day before changing sites. I dreaded asking him for help and the last time I did he came and laid his head on my shoulder and asked to see me without my mask on and was just wildly inappropriate. He KNOWS I don’t like it, I always pull away and am visibly disgusted and say stop! We are independent contractors doing travel contracts 🌎✈️, and getting someone in HR’s attention can be so tedious. Pretty much a different state (or 3) each month. I tell the girl next to me who I had befriended that he was making me uncomfortable and she just gives me a blank stare and as soon as I take my lunch she ran to him to tell him and warn him of any repercussions if i were to take action! I was shocked. Turns out altho she has a bf she cheats on him constantly and I think she may be fucking the team lead as well. Things I wish I had taken note of that may have tipped me off that we were incompatible as friends and do not share the same moral compass before I befriended her:
- she prides herself on being tomboyish and LOVES sports and watching the game at bars with men like ‘one of the guys’. When we went out to a bar she was screaming at the tv watching the game like a man.
- I now realize she thinks it’s cute to have a roster of men (low value included) and to have sex with them on a rotation, like being a player or a pimp. Female pumps are so classless and tasteless to me. She was annoyed one of her bfs was sending her paragraphs of adoration and asked me if I WANTED him. Like an old pair of sneakers! Just offered up her boyfriend 😨
- she constantly says she is ‘so private’ but you can learn way too much from her IG bio and posts!
- she thinks it’s cute to be in her mind 30s and constantly clubbing and bar hopping
- yesterday she tried to make me feel bad for not being ‘hood enough’, speaking proper English and overall being bougie and constantly commented aloud and drew attention to how I’d drink Diet Coke, avoid processed sugars/junk food, and I eat charcuterie boards. So I started hiding my Diet Cokes in my lunchbox.
I thought because we are both in a six figure job and starting up small businesses that we’d mesh well and just have different personalities. But I may be wrong and I think it’s time to reel it in and re evaluate friendships on my journey. I have a very small circle with only the closest of friends and I think this was a reminder to continue to focus on me in my journey. The wrong friendships can cause us to regress.
Do you have any advice on approaching friendships and relationships as a young and affluent hypergamous woman from your experiences so far? It’s okay if not! I am the youngest by far on every travel contract and only older nasty men seem to have eyes for me, and it’s difficult to find equally minded young women to befriend. I am luxury apt hunting now, and looking to build my social circle to debut as an artist in a nicer area soon hopefully, and am trying to become a full time content creator eventually.🤍 and thank you for listening because I’m so private and this was really my only way to vent to someone🤍✨ have the *best* day.
Tbh I had to google the definition of hypergamy I don’t really subscribe to labels. I think it’s a red flag that she went and told your boss about the inappropriate conduct like women are supposed to support each other. There’s no such thing as being “not hood enough” or “too white” you’re literally just being yourself. She sounds like a toxic pick me that should mind her own business. I would just keep your distance from her keep it professional and cordial don’t tell her anything more than she needs to know. Focus on yourself your work and cultivating your other female friendships. I hope this helps good luck with your work and finding a beautiful apartment.🤍

Enter: Leo, Punk, Dig Dug and Vee + Vs: Pokemon Trainer Hop and Pokemon Trainer Bede + Evo: Goldeneye and Princess
As I woke up the next day, I enter the lobby to see Hop practicing his pokeball throw. He spots me and we talk to each other about this being the start of our legend. He wants to race me to Motostoke Stadium, and he jets of first.
As soon as I left, I was met with a League Worker. He was there to escort me to the stadium (even though it's a small walk away). Since it's his job, I followed suit. Once inside, I saw every challenger from yesterday waiting in the lobby, including Hop. I walked my way towards the desk. He told me that we must wear our official uniforms for any League related events. He gave me my uniform, and I went to the nearby changing room to put it on. It had the exact number I requested: 728. Now we were ready.
For the opening ceremony, Chairman Rose was giving a speech begining the gym challenge! He also introduced the Gym Leaders: Milo, Nessa, Kabu, Allister, Opal, Melony, and Raihan. Unfortunately, it appears that they're missing one. Than it was our turn to introduce ourselves: the Gym Challengers.
After the Ceremony, Hop was hyped up to really start our Challenge. Leon and the chairman walked towards us, congratulating us on officially entering the Gym Challenge. Rose introduced himself and was delighted to meet us, the 2 that were endorsed by the champion himself. He noticed that we already had Dynamax Bands, somewhat bragged that it was his company that invented them. He looked forward to this year's Gym Challenge. He wished us the best of luck as he left to attend to some business. Leon noted that Rose seemed to be in high spirits. Leon told us that we've only started as Galar Trainers, so we need to do more than just train our Pokemon. We need to train ourselves too. Hop was as excited as always, and told me the there's a set order that we need to challenge the gyms in. The first gym is located in the town of Turffield, which is beyond Route 3.
Once I left the stadium, another League Worker stopped me. He told me that the chairman asked him to deliver a gift to me: access to the Flying Taxi. The flying taxi allows me to travel from area to area quickly, as long as I've already visited the area. As I looked ahead, there was a crowd of people cheering me on. I decided to fully explore the city before I left for Turffield, helping a few people along the way. I picked up and bought a few Items here and there. I also caught a Chewtle from the River and named him Leo.
While on the way to the left side of Motostoke, Hop stopped me. He wants to battle me, per usual. I know i have no choice in the matter, so I accept.
You are challenged by Pokemon Trainer Hop!
Hop leads with Wooloo, and I start with Einstein. He hits with Tackle and I set up a Reflect. He tries to Growl me, but I ise Struggle Bug. 2 more are enough to finish Wooloo.
The next Pokemon he wants to send out is Scorbunny, do Goldeneye comes out. He uses Quick Attack to get some damage in, but it deals very little. A single Water Pulse takes him out.
Up next is Rookidee. I decide to let BroBro make her Battling Debut. Rookidee lands a Critical Peck turn 1, but I use Yawn to put them to sleep next turn. I decide to use Curse as he lands Another Critical Peck. Now with Rookidee asleep, I use a boosted Pay Day. (I taught BroBro the move Pay Day via a TM I picked up in Motostoke.) I used it a few times, KOing Rookidee and getting Money. I got $1,120 and picked up an extra $130 from Pay Day.
Hop congratulated me, saying he expected nothing but the best from his rival. He even gave me his one of his League Cards. He ran off towards Turffield since the 1st Gym is there.
Once I was done in the city, I went to Route 3. In the Grass, I found a little Pancham and named her Punk. I decide to swap out Einstein for Punk. I also battled a few trainers in Route 3.
Near the middle of Route 3, I found Sonia. She said that I looked "real ace" during the ceremony. She asked where Hop is, so I told her he went to Turffield. He really can't sit still, can he? She also told me about one of Rose's Companies, but I didn't pay too much attention. She also gave me an Escape Rope.
While battling trainers on 3, Goldeneye hit Level 16. You know what that means! Congratulations! Your Goldeneye evolved into Drizzile! Cool!
At the end of Route 3 was the entrance of a cave. I walked in and was met with the Galar Mine. When I walked in, the 1st Pokemon that I spotted was a Drilbur. I decided to catch her and name her Dig Dug. Y'know, like the old arcade game. I decided it was time to swap out Alvin. He did good. After catching Dig Dug, I explored the mines, fighting trainers and collecting items.
At the end of the mine stood a trainer. The trainer with grandma hair and bad clothing. He warned me that anyone with a Wishing Star was in for a beating. He asked if I was one of the trainers endorsed by Leon, and...called me a joke?! Bro, that was uncalled for! Turns out he was endorsed by the Chairman, who's more important than the champ. He decided to prove himself to me by battling me.
You are challenged by Pokemon Trainer Bede! (wait when did we learn his name?)
He sends out a Solosis and I send out Dig Dug. I use Rapid Spin to boost my Speed and he uses Confusion. I use Rapid Spin again, KOing Solosis.
Next up was Gothita, but I stayed in. I had a trick up my sleeve: I used the X-Scissor TR on Dig Dug! It barely didn't ko, and was hit with Psybeam. I healed with a Super Potion and got debuffed by Tickle. I used Hone Claws to boost my attack and accuracy and was hit by Psybeam. I go for it again, only to be Tickled again. Finally was Hatenna. This was at the final line. If Dig Dug hit herself, she'd most likely get KOd. And she...SNAPPED OIT OF CONFUSION AND KO'D WITH X-SCISSOR! Bede was salty and said he wasn't really trying all that hard anyways. Suuuure, buddy.
Due to EXP being shared, Princess gained juuust enough exp to evolve! Congratulations! Your Princess evolved into Steenee!
Bede said that his loss was unexpected, but that I'm more able than he thought. But he'll remember my battle style, naturally. He'll make sure to win during our next encounter.
I left Galar Mine and entered Route 4. As I walked around the grass, picking up Items, I felt something bump into the side of my leg: a wild Eevee! I knew i just HAD to catch it! After a bit if back and forth, I eventually caught her. I named her Vee, mostly because I couldn't think if a better name at the time. I just have to add her to my party, but I don't know who to add. I decide to swap out Punk for Vee.
Once I caught Vee, I headed straight for Turffield...and was tackled by a loose Wooloo.
Someone came up from behind Wooloo to check up on me. It turned out to be the Gym Leader of Turffield, Milo. He was excited to fight me later, and headed straight to Turffield, as did I.
Tomorrow will be my first Gym Battle.

My top 5 JOY Podcasts that I got to work on
April 19, 2024 marks the final day as a JOY podcaster as I move towards their TikTok team. I did learn a lot when I was working with the Drive and Breakfast show, and moving on from this volunteer position is something that will be missed.
On my last day, I was informed that I'd uploaded over 160 episodes since the start of 2024, and somehow broke a record in January by uploading the most episodes in a month due to a three-month backlog.
So with my final episodes uploaded, here are my favourite episodes that I've worked on for the community radio station.

What made this JOY Drive episode memorable is that, despite it being in my backlog queue, it was published immediately due to a request of a fan. One of JOY's listeners emailed the Drive team, asking for the episode so I did my best to ensure it was worked on immediately.
Other than that, it was a fun and educational episode about drinking water. It reminded me of the r/Hydrohomies subreddit that I was so tempted to put a little reference to ProZ's video about that social media group in the episode's title or description.

This podcast episode was an interview with Australian artist, Venice Quin about her debut EP. I liked the song so much that I added it to my yearly roundup playlist on Spotify. But what made this episode memorable was how I was able to talk about it on JOY Daytimes as the song was going to be played next on air so I got to introduce the track live on the radio. What a great way to have my JOY Radio debut.

I feel like being homeschooled though, there's usually a lot more pressure with grades and going to college and being this very very book smart, know everything kind of person. OR it's very possibe I'm just stereotyping because a lot of the families I know that are homeschooled are huge on that sort of thing, but I also know there are tons of public schoolers that go through that as well. But it is really nice to be able to do things in the middle of the day like going out and taking breaks and stuff like that. I sometimes wonder what it's like in school and how I would manage.

I don't mean to break anyone's heart but my own! LOL - realistically and with my luck when it comes to BTS, I've just never had a good experience trying to see them. I do wish anyone else all the best though - you included!!!
I think if the audience is 21+, I can do GA 😂 I went to see Epik High recently and most of the audience were in their 20s or older, so it was less chaotic. Not to be that adult LOL, but sometimes, the younger fans are kinda wildin' and disrespectful 😅 Epik High isn't like one of my favorite favorite groups (they were my intro into Kpop), so I wasn't expecting myself to be knocked off my feet, but I was LOL! It was just like fun and chill vibes. I feel like the audience can really make or break your experience.
I'm so glad you had a good time at The Link!!! Even if they didn't do their new album, still sounds like the song selection was pretty good???

Omg omg omg omg!!! My turn to go wild!! LOL. So long story, short when it comes to SVT: I was a casual fan for a long time, but only started during L&R era. I'm embarrassed to admit, but the combo of Kidult and Mingyu really shoved me to explore their discography (and them as a group LOL) further 😂😅 All this to say, I've only been a carat for ~3-ish years now, so I'm sure there are other ppl who can give you a more seasoned and in-depth look into their discography, but I'll make a separate post sharing my favorite pieces from them! Noted about HHU - Wonwoo/Mingyu were 2 of my very first biases, so I definitely have stuff for you LOL.
RED VELVET MY GIRLS!!!! In my humble opinion, their concept is so timeless - I hope they last a long time 🥺 I definitely went through a Taeyeon phase as well a few years ago (was it really a few or more? T^T) LOL. Why is still my favorite from her!!
The way I was just vibrating when you mentioned StayC LOL - I have friend who LOVES them with all her heart and it's so cute and fun to see y'all be big fans of them!! I did listen to YOUNG-LUV.COM and agree so much!!! I think Young Luv was definitely in my Top 10 most played on Spotify this year hahaha.
LSFM is probably my second most favorite gg after Red Velvet 🥺😭 I mostly started following because I wanted to support Yunjin who I've been keeping my eye out for since her green melona basement room days 😭 (yes, the same one as SVT LMAO). She used to be a Pledis trainee, but then got bounced around a lot between different agencies because she never quite fit any of the concepts. It warmed my heart when she debuted after almost giving up! I ended up really liking LSFM overall after watching their docu-series and then the Anti-Fragile comeback! Blue Flame and No Celestial have a chokehold on me hahaha.
Have you heard Lovin' Me by Fifty Fifty!!!?? I think you might like it a lot!!! I have no idea who they are either lmao, but I really liked that one!! 100/10 would recommend checking out XG - I think they have something a little different to offer the kpop gg scene and it's refreshing! They're latest comeback was really good 🤩
I listen to all the other gg's you listed as well casually LOL, but I'll stop here since I don't have anything else to add hahahaha.

Macey’s Review of Best Picture Nominees 2023*

Women Talking: 10/10
Words cannot describe how I felt watching this movie. It takes place in the span of one day and is literally just women talking, yet it felt like the stakes were higher than any action movie that came out this year. It was my first watch of the season and it is a strong contender. I wish they could have brought August with them. Crying Level: 3/5 though it was more like I was shell shocked.
Everything, Everywhere, All at Once: 9.8/10
This movie made me sob. It made me laugh. It made me uncomfortable, but damnit if it didn’t have the best message out of all these movies. Did it top Women Talking for me? YOU CAN’T COMPARE THE TWO, WHOSE IDEA WAS THAT? The ONLY reason is is not getting a solid 10 is because of the butt plug scene and the hot dog fingers in the mouth. Crying Factor 5/5 I was not expecting to bawl my eyes out and want to change my life
The Banshees of Inisherin: 7/10
This movie aggravated me to no end at how bleak everything was. What did we learn from this movie? That if you are depressed, ruining someone else’s life isn’t going to make you feel better. That I want a hook on a stick. And if someone threatened to sever a finger every time I talked to them, I would go out of my way to talk to them every time I saw them. I’m not getting hurt, good luck doing things without fingers mate. Crying Factor: 3/5 Friendship breakups are harder than regular ones. And donkey deaths are harder than regular ones too.
Tar: 4/10
It is important to remind people that I am dumb and some movies are just too psychological for me. Even the internet seems confused about what the purpose of this film was. I was so bored and I don’t trust Cate Blanchet ever. Even in Lord of the Rings. Crying Factor: 0/5 unless you count when I saw how long this movie was
Top Gun Maverick: 8/10
Don’t be fooled, this is a sports movie. I know what Harry Styles meant now when said “it feels like a movie” cause this sure is a movie. It has drama, romance, great music, Miles Teller; Grade A casting right there, damn that was spot on for Goose’s son. I bet if you grew up watching Top Gun (unlike me) this was equivalent to me watching the Force Awakens in theaters. Is it Oscar worthy? No. But is it a good time? Yes. Crying Factor: 2/5, personally it didn’t hit for me but for others it might
Triangle of Sadness: 5/10
This is parasite all over again. You root for no one, everyone sucks, life sucks and the ending is of course open ended which sucks. Stupid film festival movies. The only character I somewhat liked was YaYa because I felt like she respected the grind. Minus points for making me sea sick, minus points for killing children, and minus a thousand because I could see the dead lady breathing. Crying Factor: So much death, yet you have no one to grieve.
All Quiet on the Western Front: 7/10
It’s nice of filmmakers to remind us at least once a year that war sucks. What does this movie have versus others? Daniel Bruhl, and outstanding debut performance by the lead actor, and cinematically amazing. But in a few years will I remember this movie or the greatest beer run ever? I think you know the answer. Crying Factor: 3/5 you don’t love the characters enough to mourn them.
Elvis: 8/10
It took about twenty minutes to remember that this was a Baz Lurhmann film and I was not having drug induced hallucinations. Luckily it calmed down about halfway through. The ending though, with “Unchained Melody” and the real Elvis footage, that is how you end a biopic people! Crying Factor: 2/5 I really love “Unchained Melody”
The Fablemans 7/10
#LET MICHELLE WILLAMS BE IN A HAPPY MARRIAGE #AND GET HER INTO THERAPY. The beginning was just darling when he was a little guy and I kind of wish that the plot focused only on his filmmaking and not the rest of his messed up life. Crying Factor: 1/5, maybe if you can relate to little not Stephen, then you would get misty eyed, but I was just pissed as hell at the mother.
Avatar Way of Water: 7/10
You go through a lot of phases watching this movie. First you are unerved from the CGI. Then you get used to it and you are like okay this is a compelling story. Then you get unnerved because wtf the whales speak sign language? Then you accept that because this movie is literally whack, of course they speak sign language. Then the last 45 minutes you go back and forth between wow this is a good final battle to wait it’s still not over? But one things stay the same the whole 3 Hours: the feeling to scream JAKE YOU DUMBASS at your screen. Crying Factor: 4/5 That scream from Zoe Saldana tears you in two, even if it is coming from a computer generated alien

about the story: tbh i've been suffering with writer's block for the past few months, which is why i didn't start the story earlier 😭 but now i've come to a realization that i really want to write something, and i'll only feel more stuck if i don't write at all - so i started putting some words on a page and that was it! my writer's block was done for!

He was dressed in more casual garb than the day before, yet his wide hat still sat atop his head. Three soldiers knelt before him, the apparent victims of his anger that morning. His arms were folded across his chest menacingly, and his beautiful features were twisted into a tight frown. In the light, you could make out thin, purple strands that were nested among his deep blue hair, a detail you hadn't noticed during the inauguration ceremony.
it's not a lot, but i didn't want to spoil too much 😭 i'm thinking of just writing, and debuting the first few chapters on scara's important days! like the first chapter will be released on his character teaser, second for his demo, etc. lmk what you think about that!

Of course! I’ll do my best to keep that in mind. I do agree though, most of the time it feels quite lonely in tumblr. I try to socialize with people once In a while but they never seem to get in touch. It’s understandable though, they have a life to live at the fullest!
But no rush when writing about the story! Take your time and even take breaks when you’re facing writers block. It’s a huge pain to deal with, I can relate to not gaining any motivation or feel like there’s a flaw in my writing. My ideas just…die out in the process of making them y’know? EITHER WAY YOUR STORY IS GOING GREAT! I’m really excited to see what’s in store for the future. Though, I can see where you’re coming from and I think it’s a good idea to release the first chapter and so on in days like those! Might make him feel special. 🤝
I’m really thankful to have Childe since he’s one of my favorite characters (comfort as well), and just having him by my side is enough. I only need to pair him up with scara as the harbinger team and hopefully I can collect more in the future! (Such as Sandrone, columbina..) I wish you luck on his banner, though I doubt I’ll get him quickly. I’m not even guaranteed and I’m so nervous about that 😞. I’ve started saving up since that Zhongli rerun, and I’m glad I had enough wishes to wait for when scaramouche finally releases! I promise to offer you all my prayers and luck to when his banner is available. 🙏
Yeah! I draw, however I only make sketches on my notebook since I don’t have enough money to purchase anything to draw digitally. More importantly I’d go insane if it were traditional art. There’s just too many hours to work on something and they get ruined by a margin. Not only that but I get art block 24/7. I used to have a side account for my art but I deleted it ever since, just felt like it wasn’t necessary or my drawings were plain and boring. But I’m glad you’re doing great drawing digitally! You should share some of your art with me sometime. <3
Aw, that’s a shame though. Many of my comrades/acquaintances either don’t play Genshin anymore, or just play in a different server. Most of the time I only co-op in bosses since I feel like it’s very interesting and fun to keep me occupied! But now that I know you’re in NA, I’m very excited. I wont let you down with those photo-shoots though, let’s give it everything we got to help each other and bring scaramouche home!

Bias List for my Groups!
For my first post back I’m just going to do something simple; a bias list of all my biases for the groups I like. I know it’s nothing big but just in case anyone wants to submit an ask for one of my biases or something they’ll know :)
Stray Kids; My bias group, I’ve stanned them since pre debut and honestly them and A.C.E are tied for my bias group, because they both have my heart. Anyways my bias for Stray Kids is none other than Bang Chan
A.C.E; My second bias group, I saw them live twice and met them all once and honestly I love them so much, their CEO is a woman and she always teaches the idols the importance of feminism and we love her for that. Of course my bias for this amazing group is Kim Byeongkwan
NCT; alrighty because of all the subunits in this group I’m just sticking with my top 3 biases. Number 1 is Jaehyun, number 2 is Haechan and number 3 is Johnny!
Got7; even though their not a group anymore per say, I’m still including them because my bias used to be my ultimate bias before Bang Chan. Of course my bias is L.A native, Mark!
Monsta X; I haven’t really caught up with them recently but my bias is still the same, Changkyun!
EXO; alrighty, might be “controversial” who my bias is but my bias is the baby daddy Chen, lol
BTS; I haven’t caught up with them much either but I know their starting their military service soon and I wish them all the best of luck and health! My bias for them is Taehyung!
Seventeen; Now I’m still learning Seventeen from back when I was still writing, but as of now my bias is Vernon!

The Lucky One Review
The Lucky One by Nicholas Sparks is a 384 page stand-alone contemporary romance novel.
After U.S. Marine Logan Thibault finds a photograph of a smiling young woman buried in the dirt during his tour of duty in Iraq, he experiences a sudden streak of luck -- winning poker games and even surviving deadly combat. Only his best friend, Victor, seems to have an explanation for his good fortune: the photograph -- his lucky charm.
Back home in Colorado, Thibault can't seem to get the woman in the photograph out of his mind and he sets out on a journey across the country to find her. But Thibault is caught off guard by the strong attraction he feels for the woman he encounters in North Carolina - Elizabeth, a divorced mother -- and he keeps the story of the photo, and his luck, a secret. As he and Elizabeth embark upon a passionate love affair, his secret soon threatens to tear them apart -- destroying not only their love, but also their lives.
I rate this book 3/5 stars.
I thought this book was alright, but the only way I got through this was because of the free audiobook I found online.
I really liked the interaction between Logan and Beth, and Ben and Zeus (Logan’s dog). The way they melt together and slowly but surely become one family is really sweet as it all forms from a friendship, rather than an instant romance.
Then there is Keith Clayton, Beth’s ex-husband, and he is just the worst. Just me thinking about a dude like him (and knowing there are such guys out in the world) is making me angry. He is such a hypocrite with everything he does and it boils my blood.
The writing style itself and the story was alright for me. While I loved the characters they are just either 100% pure, without any flaws, or 100% vile, without any redeeming qualities. Within this book I’m missing the grey characters which I’ve come to expect with more modern books (this book is from 2007).
Would I recommend this book? Yeah, if you’re already a reader of Nicholas Sparks or romance novels.
