#tss2021 #permit me to ramble a bit in the tags #unfortunately i don't have the silmarillion to read because i wouldve loved to do something with arwen's female lineage but in my research t #the quotes were always out of context (if there were any) #so i concentrated on arwen and i reread all her parts in lotr #and i was struck by how little she is in it and yet her impact! #like the scene i quote here it made me cry. i think this is so powerful. the way she - from miles and miles away - helps turning the tide of #the battle. it's amazing #i had something more planned but it was too ambitious for my editing skills and the timeframe #but basically i wanted to put her more back into the narrative #because she's mostly just talked about but she's very active #long was the making it says! in secret! #i wonder if she had any companions to talk about. this mustve been very heavy on her mind #esp since the fall of sauron and her life are intertwined in such a way! i couldn't even imagine! #but i digress #and i was soooo intimidated by your edits they're absolutely gorgeous #i tried to replicate your style a bit - but not too much! i hope #this was a challenge! but i decided to keep it simple so the attention is on the figures/arwen and the quotes #so i hope you like it :) #and yeah have wonderful holidays and a happy new year etc etc :) <3 #may 2022 be kinder to us all
