You know I noticed smth in other fandoms about ship names recently.
Usually when there's a ship about two characters their ship name is a combination of those 2 character's name's together. Sometimes it's sounds nice, other times it's 'wtf, how you pronounce that?' And that's how I've known for years.
But now I also see people coming with 'things' associated with the said characters, put them together and create like some short of title, an easy name, smth more nice sounding.
And I was thinking 🤔, RoBul is good enough, but what other nice names would you make for this ship if you'd want to? Does "Bloody Rose" sound nice? (It could work as a fic title as well)

"Dead Dove: Do Not Eat"
About the tag, the origin, and why I think no one on either side of the fandom divide knows how to use it
First of all, I'm crosstagging because I think it's a general issue, not just something for pro or anti shippers. I see the tag get misused on both sides and I just wanted to throw my two cents in
So, where did the term originate? Like all culturally significant things online, it started as a meme. More specifically, a meme from the television show Arrested Development. Character A has put a dead dove into a brown paper bag to store in the family's fridge. On the bag, he has taped a sign that reads, in big bold letters, "DEAD DOVE. Do Not Eat!"
Tumblr media
Character B comes across the bag, reads the warning, and opens it anyway. When he's met with, you guessed it, a dead dove, he proclaims "I don't know what I expected".
This is an example of (and has since basically become the spiritual successor to) the "Exactly What It Says On The Tin" trope.
If you want to check out the full history and countless examples of the trope, please check out the page on tvtropes. But for a slightly shorter history - it originated in a British commercial for Ronseal's Quick Drying Woodstain, which the tin claimed "dried quickly". And in the commercial they told you "It does exactly what it says on the tin!" So, the tin says what the product does, then the product does it. You get the idea.
In fandom spaces, the trope just means that the title of Thing (be it movie, show, fanfic, etc) tells you exactly what happens IN Thing. If a show is called "Buffy The Vampire Slayer", you already know it's about a girl named Buffy who slays vampires. If the movie is called "Cocaine Bear", you can bet a bear will get into some cocaine at some point. If there's a fanfic called "Fluttershy Has Tea With Jesus"... you get the idea.
While both tags started out with the same intentions and meaning, I don't think it's any wonder that "dead dove do not eat" has been so easy to misinterpret. For one, "exactly what it says on the tin" sounds more straightforward. You don't have to understand the specific reference to infer it means to check the label (in this case, tags) before purchasing (opening) the product (fanfic)
But dead dove is harder to understand if you don't know the reference. And at a glance, it sounds much darker. Doves have symbolism in multiple religions, and are seen as a symbol of peace. A dead dove evokes images of gore, violence, general unpleasantness. It must only apply to something sinister, right?
The thing about "exactly what it says on the tin" is that the tin needs to say something. You can't point at a blank label and say "here's what you can expect". People would be much less likely to engage with your product if that were the case
In the same vein, slapping "dead dove do not eat" on a fic with no other tags can lead to confusion. In this tag's case, it's a warning. But what are you warning about if you don't also put it in the tags? It leaves people's minds to conjure up only grim and upsetting images of what might be in your fic. Especially when, as it's also common to do, the tag gets shortened to simply "dead dove".
And while, yes, the tag is most likely to get slapped onto fics with dark or upsetting subject matter, that means something different for everyone who comes across it.
Most people seem to think it only applies to inappropriate relationships (age gap, incest, etc). But I've seen it applied to a variety of things, from potentially triggering material (like suicide) to things that simply may not be everyone's cup of tea (like excessive gross-out toilet humor).
In the end, "dead dove do not eat" is a tag that, in my opinion, should not be used as a descriptor as to what type of content your story contains. But rather, a gentle warning to say "hey, I'm specifically telling you what you're about to encounter, so whatever happens next is up to you".
After all, if you read the warning and still open the bag to find something you don't like...
I don't know what you were expecting.

re: previous post, blog tips!
if just a general pjo blog, that's your house man do what you want. In general though just being frequently active and posting original posts will draw people to your blog. That's just kind of how blogging works. tbh same applies to most social media. just tag things appropriately and you're good (don't crosstag [tag irrelevant stuff, ex: tagging specific characters on a post that does not reference them specifically] and you probably need less tags than you think in general. fandom tags + whatever your own blog's organizational tags are is probably sufficient.) I'll throw some general pjo tagging tips below a cut at the bottom of this post. And obviously don't repost other people's stuff, that's a given. Reblogging is fine, obviously, that's a different thing. The only other thing I would specifically advise is making sure to enable custom themes on your blogs, just cause it's a nice way to show people you're not a bot, customize your blog, and it's just way easier to navigate. Just pick a theme that has very clear buttons, please. Previous/next page, like, reblog, etc. I've personally been enjoying the theme Vision recently.
For askblogs specifically - particularly if your askblog is heavily story-based or OC-based, people aren't likely to reblog frequently from you, so it can be hard to get traction on your askblog. That's just kind of the nature of askblogs. People are also very unlikely to reblog advertisement posts for askblogs. Ergo, best way to get traction on your askblog is to post general art or etc (depending on genre of askblog) occasionally, particularly towards the beginning of the blog, especially little memes and jokes. Also again just posting regularly and tagging appropriately. If you need asks, you are allowed to send yourself prompts or ask your friends to send you ones. I also personally recommend saving asks, since some you might be able to use later or maybe just don't have an idea for yet.
Also if you're starting an askblog, ABSOLUTELY MAKE SURE you open your inbox! Turn on anon if you're able. And if your inbox gets overwhelmed only turn off anon, don't close the inbox completely. Turning off anon will limit the amount of asks you get by a lot. Most askblogs i've seen that have become inactive or died are askblogs that closed their inbox and lost steam as a result, or never opened their inbox to begin with and didn't realize. Also label your blog clearly as an askblog. Askblogs and rp blogs are different things. If it's an RP blog, don't label it as an askblog, and vice versa, unless it is genuinely intended to be both, in which case label it as both, but know 90% of the time if you intend for it to be both it will end up purely an rp blog anyways. Askblogs, even text askblogs, are just a different beast. You can always make two sideblogs for the same character if you'd like.
Tagging advice below the cut cause this got long:
With PJO specifically, general tagging tips - "pjo" and "riordanverse" are the main two to tag stuff with for main series stuff. You can tag stuff "percy jackson" cause that is the series name but i personally try to refrain from that on this blog at least cause it's also a tag shared with a specific character. Obviously if it's side series, MCGA + Magnus Chase or TKC + The Kane Chronicles respectively, plus "riordanverse." I dont usually tag HoO/Heroes of Olympus or TOA/Trials of Apollo unless it is very specifically about those series and not just the characters from that series. Really please stop flooding the HoO and TOA tags with irrelevant stuff. Just keep it to specific-to-that-series.
Also PJO specific character names i just do [whatever name they usually go by in the series] + [surname or if lacking surname, "[series abbreviation]"], so like Leo would be "Leo Valdez" or Dakota would be "Dakota PJO." For deity chars i tag same as no-surname, "[god] PJO" or "[god] TKC" or whatever. For Reyna specifically there seems to be a lot of variations of how her name gets tagged, such as including her middle name or not including the accent or hyphen. I usually try to tag her as "Reyna Ramírez-Arellano."
I usually order tags [series] > [characters] > [etc] + [personal blog organization tags and/or any content warnings necessary] > [commentary tags]. For awhile it was tumblr only counted the first like 5 tags for what to show in tag searches, i think it might be first 20 tags now? unclear. doesn't really matter.
Anyways don't crosstag cause that's spam and otherwise do whatever you want forever have fun

I find it quite strange that you say that Siyeon and Eckles' age difference is creepy, when you shipped them a lot before, even if Siyeon had owner behaviors you didn't care. What happened? Just because they didn't stay together were you able to take off the blindfold? Because, be honest with you, if they had stayed together in that toxic relationship you wouldn't be attacking the characters so much right now.
I shipped Cha Siyeon and Iklies two years ago. Back then I was still young and the implications of abuse were much more subtile and harder to pick up on as not many chapters had been translated. At that time Iklies had been presented as Cha Siyeon's only safe route, ergo everything was much more toned down otherwise the plot twist wouldn't have come as a surprise. Naively I had assumed that Iklies and Penelope would end up together and raise a rebellion together freeing the other slaves. I wasn't familiar with the problematic portrayal of slavery and colonialism that seems to be so widespread in isekai as I had not consumed many manhwas yet.
You seem to be under the assumption that liking a character = endorsing the actions of said characters and shipping a ship = wanting such relationship irl. You are wrong. Even if Callisto committed genocide and Penelope is a groomer I'm not going to come into your ask box and demand you to stop shipping them or start a bullying campaign by writing out a callout post against you. I'm of the opinion that anyone should be allowed to ship whatever they like as long as it's fiction.
But does that mean that no one is allowed to share their criticism of characters with each other? Does that make it okay to shut down the voices of those, especially poc readers, who find the implications of the author chosing to despict the colonizer with aryan features as a hero and the indigenous boy who had witnessed the genocide and enslavement of his nation by said man's hands as a villain deeply uncomfortable? I don't think so. Specifically because it's so frowned down upon to point out the flaws of the fandom faves we have readers who say with their full chest that Iklies betrayed Penelope (slaves cannot betray their master), Delman deserved to be subjected to the genocide because some of them plundered at the borders (did the women and children plunder too?) and the slaves deserved to remain in bondage because they dared to rebel against their masters and it would make Callisto look bad in front of his citizen to free them (uhm what the fuck???).
Let's keep things civil, shall we? If these discussions bother you and you can't contribute without feeling the need to resort to insults and passive-aggressiveness, feel free to block the tag anti Cha Siyeon and anti Callisto Regulus or even block this blog alltogether. I'm surprised that you didn't do this already. I, as an Iklies stan, don't even have the luxury of blocking the anti Iklies tag as such consideration isn't shown by diehard Callisto stans who loved crosstagging their hate into the character tag.
Anyways as for the age gap thing. I'm generally not an age gap kind of gal unless it's under very specific circumstances where the narrative aknowledges the fucked up-ness ⬇️
Tumblr media
I bought the physical copy of vadd this summer, saw the ages and went "hey wait". Sometimes you don't notice everything at once. And I'm not all knowing. I didn't know about South Korean laws on statuatory rape when I was younger. It's also not only the age gap that was an issue but the sum of all things together.
Now the last sentence is very funny. "if they had stayed together in that toxic relationship you wouldn't be attacking the characters so much right now." Anyone who follows me knows that this assumption is false. I'm happy to inform you that I ship lots of dark and fucked up ships and I love to point out and analyze in what ways they are toxic to each other. For example Nai and Vash? I literally call Nai an eco fascist and wrote an entire essay how it is doubtful that Nai even loves Vash. I called episode 11 and 12 a rape allegory. It's the Vashwood/Plantcest antis that are in deep denial that Trigun features incestuous abuse and not the Plantcest shippers who will happily explain the layers of trauma caused by Nai that Vash carries within him.
I ship Derrick x og Penelope but do you see me woobyfying him or wishing they had ended up together and being mad that they didn't? Heck no. If anything I'm mad that he got away with everything and Cha Siyeon even lets him hang around her daughter. My ideal ending is Penelope shooting with her crossbow at him and setting the mansion on fire. If it's true that he fell in love with 12 y/o Penelope at first sight that would make him a pedophile. I'm being honest. Someone needs to talk about these things because I don't think that even the author was fully aware of this.

Hello all you may remember me from such bangers as 'show me the proxies in marble hornets' and 'and another thing'
oday um here to talk about how we've fucking regressed as a fandom since creepypasta and marble hornets on ao3 got. presumably merged as a fandom tags bc sorting for exclude crossovers still shows creepypasta fic. in fact doing that just now to confirm this, the very first fic on the list was creepypasta.
so obviously this is a huge pain in the ass for anyone who wants marble hornets fanfic and only marble hornets fanfic. you cant even remove creepypasta fics with exclude crossover, youd have to do it manually with filtering options not everyone knows how to use. and we shouldnt have to yknow? you should be able to go in your fandom tag on ao3 and find only that fandom and crossovers (which should be easily filtered out by exclude crossovers) same as here on tumblr crosstagging is a huge issue but the worst part of it is that the continuous crosstagging in recent years has caused the fandom tags to be merged (not fully as shown by the fact that the numbers for amount of fic in each tag is different) but enough that they're considered the same universe by ao3 which is. blatantly untrue.
creepypasta is a catchall term for internet short stories made by a community, marble hornets is one single webseries online. fuck the creepypasta fandom wouldnt be what it is without huge swaths of shit stolen from marble hornets (like yknow, the pages, the operator symbol, masky and hoodie) but that doesnt mean they are marble hornets fans that doesnt mean theyre making marble hornets content. that would be like saying that since fnaf and batim are kinda similar and the fans have an overlap that means theyre the same and should be tagged the same. they arent, and shouldnt be yknow?
also apologies this isnt the best post im kinda fried rn and im stuck on mobile
that not withstanding its fucking depressing. this did not used to be an issue. thr only fics tagged with both were generally easy to ignore or a real honest to god crossover, but now i swear you look at the mh tag on ao3 and the majority of the recent fics are crosstagged crp fics with giant tag lists that tack up the whole page and tag anyone who is so much as mentioned
and maybe this is a step too far here. but i really think this is bc of tiktok. the people crosstagging posts and fics seem to be the same type to complain avout the 'ao3/tumblr algorithm' not favoring them. but there is no algorithm, just annoyed fans who have to dig for their actual content because people dont have common decency anymore. theres an etiquette you need to follow for shit like this. like how would you feel if like. i dunno. fucking... genshin (just an example of a large fandom or whatever made a character cameo out of like jeff the killer and suddenly all the crp tags were filled with genshin posts not even related to or barely mentioning the character, just ti try and get more clicks?
youd be pretty fucking annoyed having to scroll past all that to find actual creepypasta content huh?
thats the same issue happening here, and honestly i think its a huge issue. for obvious reasons but also bc its so much harder to find mh content now that im sure its incredibly disheartening to be a creator in the fandom rn and foe the past few years. you work and make content for your rather small fandom and its buried under barely related shit, its gonna feel bad yknow? especially when that content gets more clicks bc. frankly theres more creepypasta fans than mh fans just bc of what creepypasta is format wise. its collectively made shortstories. you can like one or two and bc a crp fan, its not like that for mh
this is going kinda off my starting topic but anyways if theres any ao3 tag wrangles following me or who see this.
please for the love of god i beg of you to do anything you can to unmerge those tags i will do anything ill get receipts proving they're separate things please unmerge the tags im dying here

Ship game!! What about Nico and Will?? It’s pretty popular, but I don’t think I’ve seen you write much of it…
That's an interesting one in that I have vocalized my reasons for disliking it way back when it first became popular but instead of just linking that, it has been years so I think it's time for an updated version.
Firstly: This post is gonna be properly tagged and not crosstagged so if any shipper comes across it and feels the need to bitch about it, just don't; your lack of curating your own tumblr experience is not my problem! ;D
Now, there are three key factors that play into my dislike of this ship: How it was written, what it represents, how the fandom around it acts.
1. It’s rushed and uncomfortable
In BoO, it was incredibly rushed. They had literally five sentences of interactions before they walked into the literal sunset together. Five. It was just entirely born from Riordan's Noah's Ark Complex, where he just can't let people be single. The series was ending and he needed Nico to have an endgame so he rushed into some random romance with zero build-up.
The way their interactions went down was also severely uncomfortable for me. Will was acting so offended by Nico not wanting to go to camp and be friends in an entitled way that he had no right to be, he downright guilt-tripped Nico about how he had wanted to be friends. Nico has been just so severely traumatized at such a young age and his coping mechanism, as unhealthy as it was, was to run away and hide. Will acted like Nico not wanting to form attachments to people who could potentially leave him again was somehow just an Edgy Emo Decision and not a direct reaction to his trauma. His entire approach to Nico was basically all these hippie posts of "Don't have depression!! Just go out into the sun and stop being depressed!", which is already a bad take with non-medical people but he's supposed to be a doctor (and let's not get into the shadiness of him technically being Nico's doctor).
There is also an inherent "I can fix him" angle to this ship and to me, only few ship dynamics are more uncomfortable than that. If you want to fundamentally change a person's behavior and personality, you... don't actually want to be with this person.
Now, here's where my points overlap, because the following parts of their writing that bothers me also stand for what this ship fundamentally represents.
2. Solangelo is a queer ship written by and for straights
I'm a queer woman and as a queer woman, I want queer wish-fulfillment, not what straights want out of queerness. I'm kind of tired of that, I've been sitting through it for enough decades now. That's, of course, not to say that no straight writer can give proper queer representation, but far too often do straight writers - even the most well-meaning ones - project straight desires of queerness into their queer representation.
Let me explain that closer through this ship.
Nico's been in love with Percy for years and I'm going to do my best to not hijack this post with some Percico agenda; that's not what this his about, this isn't some "my ship is better than your ship" ship-war nonsense. It's simply a canonical fact that Nico has had romantic feelings for another character for years.
A character who, in this medium, is heterosexual. And if you're queer, you've been there. In love with your straight best friend. It's a cliche, but it's a cliche for a reason.
We have also all been well-meaningly rejected by said straight friend.
And here's the straight desires for you: The queer person who was in love with a straight person just immediately stops having those feelings and will then as quickly as possible fall in love with the next queer person they meet to be happy and no longer uncomfortably in love with a straight person, because that thought makes the straights uncomfortable.
Queer wish-fulfillment would be for Percy to return those feelings, for the queer character to get his first love, to not be rejected. That thing queer teens always dreamed about for themselves.
Aside from the wish-fulfillment angle, the pacing is another problem. Let me repeat, Nico was in love for years. But a five sentence conversation with Will once causes a crush on Will and we see him physically turn away from Percy and toward Will just immediately to rebound and actually fall out of love with Percy and in love with Will. Anyone who's ever been unlucky in love will attest to just how unrealistic and ridiculous the pacing here is.
It's also straight queerness in another respect; Nico has been the first ever queer character we meet in that world. He loves a straight guy - and to get over that, we introduce the second queer character. Because heaven forbid there are multiple queers to pick from. No, in straight-written queer romances, there is always that one main queer and then they introduce a second one and the two just immediately hit it off and develop a romance like all a queer person needs to form attraction to someone is the confirmation that the other person shares your sexuality.
Also the notable gay guy on gay guy ship here, whereas the more queer-wish-fulfillment option would have also included more nuance to the queer experience, because Percy doesn't have to be heterosexual just because he has only been with girls so far. It's a very old-fashioned - think 90s and early 2000s - kind of straight-written queerness that there are only exactly two homosexuals and that those two homosexuals then pair up.
And, listen, I'm not immune to these outdated straight-written queers entirely, I have many such ships that I grew up with that I am still fond of because they were groundbreaking at that time and they weren't outdated yet back when they happened in said 90s and early 2000s. I am however a grown woman now and just like I have grown, so has queer rep so I am not as easily baited into falling onto my knees in gratitude for canon rep. You have to go with the times. And this ship, by all that is given to us, is just entirely outdated straight-written rep.
Which, I mention earlier that even straight-written rep can be good. If the author tries. Riordan doesn't really try though; he does the bare minimum when he writes any of his rep - and there have been many, many more qualified voices being very vocal about his depiction of people of color and, as a woman, I've been vocal about his depiction of women. I don't want to derail this post with all of that, but I do think that it bears mentioning that Riordan doing rep but only doing a bare minimum and not putting in the necessary work to deepen the representation he wants to give is a repeating pattern that has been pointed out many times by now.
(I’d also like to point out that no, it is not just the ship and not just the listed instances that make it straight-written rep for straights. It’s Nico’s entire queer arc, starting with his forced coming out. A severely traumatizing event that is completely brushed over because the straight author doesn’t understand the impact this has on queer people. Not to mention the framework; Nico’s coming out isn’t Nico’s story, it happens in Jason’s POV, it is given to us through the POV of the straight bystander who gets to be Best Ally by assuring Nico that being gay is okay. This kind of coming out is not a queer wish-fulfillment, it’s a straight wish-fulfillment of getting to be the straight savior, the ally to show the gay the light of acceptance. And, additional to the ridiculous pacing of how fast Nico gets over his love for Percy, Nico also gets over years of internalized homophobia just because of, I don’t know, Jason’s few encouraging words and the fact that Will paid attention to him? For a gay kid who was in the closet all his life, the nonchalant way in which he publicly confessed his crush to Percy at the end made absolutely no sense and was written as basically a joke, finished off with Nico literally high-fiving Percy’s girlfriend despite those two never having seen eye to eye before but this is straight wish-fulfillment so all straights are Super Allies, because that’s the way straights want to see themselves, even though Annabeth has shown before just how jealous she can be and she most definitely wouldn’t go around high-fiving people who confess to her boyfriend. Nothing about Nico’s queer arc in HoO felt natural or queer or satisfying.)
Sure, Solangelo on a surface level is big because it's a canon queer couple in a YA book-series and kudos for that and yay for the kids who get to grow up seeing queers in YA books, but I actually do think that kids growing up with books written in the 2010s shouldn't grow up with 1990s levels of representation, because the 2010s overall are actually at a far more nuanced and better level of representation when it comes to queerness. And I do reserve the right to quit on too straight-written and too outdated queer rep in a landscape where I can get more satisfying representation elsewhere; we don’t live in times anymore where you necessarily have to love every bit of rep because it’s the only one you get.
Now that we've gone through my first two gripes, let's wrap this up with the final point, because it also directly ties into this.
3. The new wave of antis hiding behind this ship
A huge part of the fandom is so busy kissing Riordan's ass solely for giving them queer rep at all they think that both the author and the ship are beyond flawless and that kind of attitude is not good. Just because an author includes rep doesn't make either perfect. Absolutely no one is beyond critique - especially not when said critique comes from the very people the author is representing. And even beyond any "valid" critique on the ship, quite frankly, someone should also be allowed to just not like it, without any reasons given at all.
But there is a certain... protective obsessiveness about this ship that doesn't allow a not liking. Very similar to how PJO bore this mindset around Perc/abeth already. It's okay to have OTPs, even OTPs that you have a blindspot for and just don't want to see any flaws in. It is however not okay to then go around attacking people who don't like the thing and mind their own business.
Solangelo's bred a new generation of antis in this fandom. And, particularly with the fact that this post too receives an "anti" tag, I feel like there needs to be a clarification (because tumblr likes to forget what actually makes an anti). Not liking something doesn't make you an anti, venting in properly tagged posts doesn't either; it's the people who harass others, who seek out the content they dislike to then complain that it even exists and who actively try to make others stop creating for it - those are antis.
And with Solangelo's popularity, there was a high rise in Percico antis, who sought it out, were unnecessarily nasty about it, harrassed creators and tried to enforce some kind of "Solangelo supremacy" that won't allow other ships for the characters.
I've been in fandom long enough to be perfectly aware that not all Solangelo shippers count into this category and that there are completely normal and nice Solangelo shippers, but this is a Venn diagram where the overlap between Solangelo shippers and antis is too large to not widely associate the nasty people with the ship itself. (I've been there myself, shipping the very ship behind which a fandom's antis all hid. The second-hand embarrassment of having these people give the ship a bad name is horrendous and I do feel bad for all the normal Solangelo shippers.)
The more often I encountered these people, who made Percico bad (sometimes in wildly ridiculous manners that bent and deliberately misinterpreted canon) and who in the same breath praised Solangelo high, the more tired I grew of that ship. It's a simple game of association, really. You see that linked to the gross and nasty behavior and you start associating the ship itself with that gross and nasty behavior - and with all the things I said before that already weighed into my dislike of the ship, this just was the final tipping point, really.
And that's it. That sums up why I dislike Solangelo. It was hastily rushed, uncomfortable in its execution, it is outdated rep that very much feels as straight-written as it factually is and it does not feel aimed at me as a queer person but rather at the straight audience and it has gathered a cult following of quite uncomfortable people who on their own would be reason enough to avoid it so you can avoid them.
Send me a ship and I will explain why I do or don't ship it

Okay then… I might have waited a bit too long to write this, because the memories are already starting to fade but if anybody else was there feel free to correct me. Overall it was a nice experience, though I felt the weight of my social awkwardness the whole day. I was alone and would tag along with anyone who wasn’t too bothered to have me, but I did feel like I was imposing… Anyway, enough self-wallowing. Here’s what I learnt from the panels I’ve been to (not that many, and I missed all those that featured Axel and/or Maxence) I will go remake by remake, so I won’t have to crosstag. Lukas:  He has written episode 3 of this season and he’s really nervous about how it’s going to be received. Of course, I reassured him that it’s going to be great. We also have spoken about German and he said that he understands why I dropped it :P, and when I told him about how I can still understand some of it if I have the subtitles, he praised the work of all of those of you out there who make it possible for fans of any country to enjoy the different remakes. I think he has watched part of some other remakes, but I can’t remember which ones (just that it wasn’t Austin or NL). Apart from Milan, he had only been in Rome before (we did ask all the guest if they had been to Italy already and where) and spent a week there before the convention they had with the others. His best memory of Rome is strolling through it and going to the less touristy but still beautiful spots, and Maxence trying to climb on monuments. He said he wished there was already a character like David on TV while he was transitioning, and that while he prefers to play villains (because they are very far from who he is, he also thinks that it takes skill to give depth to the good guys. He watched Wir Kinder vom Bahnhof Zoo both for Michelangelo and for another girl who has worked as a costume designer of some of his other jobs. He did speak about his upcoming projects, but didn’t say much about them apart from saying that he was happy he got to work with some other friends of his. Trivia: he can cook a mean vegetable lasagna and claimed that it was better than the one he just had at the hotel restaurant. Edit do add: His favourite scene to shoot was the one in the empty swimming pool, where Matteo tell him that he’s not alone... and one of the hardest was the one where he has to smoke, because he’s terrible at smoking (and pretending to) and once they were done shooting the scene where he and Matteo smoke weed, he called his parents and they thought he was drunk.

The S&B Twitter and instagram fandoms are an absolute hellscape.
Apparently they've invented something called Darkling slander sunday, and they keep tagging Ben Barnes in it and in their other anti content to make sure he knows how much they hate him/the Darkling. Because idk they can't separate him from the character he plays.
I'm also baffled by the fact that they keep pointing out that he is old, as if that's a crime, as if 39 is actually old.
And then there's also the fact that a subset of them started calling him a creep/pedo/stalker/predator for being friends/interacting online with Jessie Mei Li, who is 25 years old.
So on top of everything, they're infantilizing an Asian female-aligned person just so they can harass Ben.
And it's not just Ben. Archie Renaux has also been harassed, and sadly, that was probably by Ben/Darkling fans.
I know of at least one time when Archie and Amita Suman were called racist slurs after someone called Ben an old hag and said they were both better actors than him.
People have been horrible and racist to Archie during online Q&As and just generally.
I really can't believe how openly racist these people are. It's so disgusting.
I don't understand how this fandom can be so horrible.
Tumblr is tolerable, though the crosstagging, jumping on posts and anon hate is frustrating.
I used to think certain subsets of the GOT fandom were bad, but all of this just makes me want to cry out of anger and frustration.
I'm so sorry for bothering you with all of this, but I needed to rant, and I didn't know who else to talk to about this.
Wow! That is wild, and I feel sorry for all the actors! People really should learn to differentiate between fiction and reality.
And it is definitely wild.
Some of the things I've seen in the GoT and ASOIAF fandom have been wild though as well. I would remind you of that time, someone actually invented an interview with GRRM to discredit Jonsa and let him say that Jonsa was out of the question (oh, the days of the dramatic rice interview!). Lol. And of the time that Jonsa twitter accounts were hacked (that was far less fun). So every fandom has its really weird corners....
And the cast of S&B is just wonderful and I don't even know why you would compare their acting skills. They all do wonderful jobs. And it is great that they get along. That the actors get harassed over ship wars is ridiculous. And Archie Renoux and Jesse Mei Li and Amita Suran are wonderful and I hope they see many people support them as well. It reminds me of what happened in the SW fandom and I hope they have nerves of steel.
Sometimes I think that the parts of Grishaverse fandom think they get a pass for just about everything just because they like a series that has representation. It's if they think that they've proved to be woke because of that and then proceed as usual....
All *isms are cringeworthy. And I honestly think that they are rooted in a lack of imagination. People lack the imagination to think: This could be me. I could have been born a different gender (aab), a different skin colour, a different sexuality, a different gender identity, with a severe illness that makes me unable to see/walk. Or you might suffer an accident and suddenly nothing is as it was. You know, it doesn't need much imagination to come up with a scenario where things might have been different for you and you might be part of the group that is discriminated against. I'm not saying that you can really imagine how it is to live in someone's else shoes because if you are a privileged person you usually have no idea about all the tiny things where your privilege helps you. It should not be such a stretch to imagine being someone else though and just wonder about what it would mean.
I think that ageism is the most stupid of isms. Because all the other things are imaginative. I can imagine being born somewhere, in another skin, another gender, but that is a "what if" scenario. But age catches up with all of us. There is absolutely no way around that. Adults are often told that they should remember how it was as children (and that is true enough), but young people should also remember that the moment when they turn 29, or 39, or 49, or 59, or 69 will inevitably come (and it's always better than the alternative - which is to die). It will come. And I can assure you that it will come faster than they think. What are they going to do when they turn that age that they somehow have defined as the age where you should a) not interact with fandom any longer b) have no sex c) should stop having fun??? Will they stop having fun at 29, 39, or whenever?
What will their thought process be once they will actually be in the shoes of the people they discriminate against now?
And people should really stop to apply the word 'pedophilia' to age gap. And it's not even as if they are in a relationship.
So, have no worry about ranting in my inbox. That's o.k.!

Alright, this here is for everyone: It’s for those who like Tony and those who don’t. It’s for Stony shippers, for Stucky shippers, for IronStrange shippers, for those who ship Ironhusbands or WinterFalcon – it’s for those who hate Stony or Stucky or any of the other ships for whatever reason. It’s for every single person in this godforsaken fandom.
The past few days I’ve seen quite some fandom drama on this hellsite to a point where it went way too far. To a point people got literal death threats into their inbox. And that on both sides of the discourse that originally led to the drama.
While that shit fucking finally stopped again, instead now people start pointing fingers: “X sub-fandom is so toxic, I hate them so much, it’s good we’re not like that.” Etc. But you know what? That’s not true.
Since I’ve been on this hellsite I’ve seen the biggest bullshit everywhere. - Stony shippers harassing others in some kind of superior-complex, going on anon and annoying the fuck out of everyone, even other Stonies for ‘not writing the ship good’ or whatever other bullshit.
- Stucky shippers bullying anyone who likes Tony, especially when it comes to Stony or WinterIron fans, but even other Stuckies who genuinely like Tony, for example an artist who dared to make a WinterIron piece for once and got so much hatred for this that they practically stopped (and no, I’m not going to name anyone here).
- IronStrange shippers going into a poor Stony artists inbox telling them they’re ship is wrong and they should convert to IronStrange now, as if that actually would change their mind, instead of just being annoyed by this kind of childish behavior.
- Ironhusband shippers literally telling a Stony fan that they should just die because their ship was toxic. Yes, Ironhusbands – that small, pure ship. I know what I’m talking about.
- WinterFalcon shippers stalking Stony blogs to send hate.
- Tony haters lurking into a Tony-centric blog, waiting for an opportunity to start a discourse.
- Pro Tony people going into the anti tag to start a discourse.
- Both, pro and anti Tonys, pro and anti Steves, crosstagging their posts deliberately to annoy the other side.
You think I am joking or making things up? Ha, I wish I was. Point is: If you think your sub-fandom never spreads hatred? Believe me, it does.
And yes, fact is, the ones who cause the biggest problems are Stonies and Stuckies. That’s not me being hateful, that’s just simple math. The bigger a fandom, the more toxic people you’ll find there. And guess which two sub-fandoms are the biggest ones in the MCU fandom? Exactly. Doesn’t mean that if you’re in a small fandom, that you won’t find these people – there are just less. But not none.
So, instead of pointing fingers at the others all the damn time, maybe you should take a second and look at your own place. The moment one says “it’s always the Stuckies thank god we’re not like that” I can bet with you that in the next thirty minutes a poor Stucky blog will get a hateful anon ask in their inbox.
Which is not to say that this is the anti poster’s fault. It’s not their responsibility to watch out their followers don’t harass other people. You’re allowed to like or dislike whatever you want and talk about it on your own blog, and if someone misunderstands it as “haha they’re totally right, let’s attack those people”, then this isn’t on you. But you should be aware that there are people in your fandom who will think like that. Because it’s never only the others.
So, instead of pointing fingers all the time, maybe take a second to spread awareness that this kind of asshole-ish behavior is not welcome, not in your own fandom, not towards the other ones, not towards the ones you don’t like, not towards anyone at all.
The moment you go into someone’s inbox to spread hate, the moment you start to crosstag/misstag your posts to start hateful discourse, the moment you search for something deliberately that isn’t meant for you to find a reason to attack someone, the moment you’re disrespectful towards a content creator for their interests (this includes gif makers too btw!), the moment you jump into someone’s inbox trying to change their opinion because you believe you’re right, the moment you tell someone to kill themself-
-that’s the moment you’re one of those toxic people we’re talking about.
Like what you want, hate what you want, make your posts about it, tag it fucking properly, keep away from the things you dislike, but keep in mind:
The characters are fictional.
The people behind those blogs are real.
Nothing, abso-fucking-lutely nothing, gives you the right to harass or bully or send fucking death threats to other people.
And if there was even one single second you thought I might be talking about you: Fuck yes, then this sure as shit is about you.
Stop blaming as if it were only the others, stop acting as if your fandom is on a pedestal, no matter how small it is, stop turning a blind eye on what is exactly in front of you, stop encouraging others to harass, and stop fucking harassing real life people over fictional characters for fucks sake!
And if you still think this kind of behavior is justified? Then do it openly instead of turning to anon like a coward, if you really think you’re justified – so people can fucking block you.
Thank you for your attention.

Spinda’s Guide to The Spiral Grimoire
A lot of what we talk about here builds on what we’ve already talked about, so to keep everything straight, I’ve tagged all of our thread topics! Not sure what we’re talking about? Wondering why something has a weird tag? Maybe perusing the tag will help!
Listed roughly in oldest to newest, and updated whenever necessary!
#Fuegopology- A crack headcanon where Fuegoleon breaks into Nozel’s room in the dead of night to apologize for things he suddenly realized he did wrong
#Homegrown Silvas- An extremely good theory that the Silvas are actually southern hicks and belles
#Punk Acier- What if instead of dying, Acier got exiled for crimes against fashion?
#Gate Babies- A tag for the convoluted interdimensional chaos that leads to a bunch of children being dumped into the Black Clover universe. My and @loafingdragon‘s next gen OCs as well as the reasoning for their existence
#Coral Peacock Nebra- AU where Nebra is in the Coral Peacocks, and Solid is in the Purple Orcas. I don’t have an excuse for why this isn’t two separate tags
#Old Man Sukehiro- All about Yami’s dad
#Old Lady Sukehiro- All about Yami’s mom (who is more interesting than his dad)
#Kaiser’s Wife- All about Mrs. Granvorka
#BC Fairytales- Covering the discussion of Black Clover characters’ similarities to classic fairytales
#Cheeky Troublemakers- Started with Nebra x Zora as a crack ship and got wildly out of hand. Now they’re morally grey vigilantes in loathe
#Elf Time- All about the elves. Gets its own tag because here on this blog, we like believe that the elves should have stayed with their human cohabitants. Also includes other alternatives to the elves being exorcised, and occasional mentions of elf OCs
#Honeymoon Castle- What if Fuegoleon and Nozel got married and their first post-marital project was to rebuild the original Clover Castle, with Secre’s help?
#Captain Banter- A catch-all tag for posts talking about multiple captains. Includes anything that many of them might do together, and also the hypothetical Magic Knights Captains Official Discord Chat
#Silvastrong- Covers basically any mention of the Silvas being strong or muscular, which comes up a lot for various delightful reasons
#BC-International- The Black Clover characters, but outside of the Clover Kingdom
#Calendar Knights- Mostly about a magic knights calendar and the fallout, but also includes mention of birthdays and other important dates
#GirlNozel- A brief exploration of genderbent Nozel. Also crosstagged as #genderbend
#Angel Magic- What would angel magic look like?
#BC OC- A tag for any Black Clover OCs, mine and other’s
#Dragon Papa- What if Papa Silva was a dragon? Another crack theory that got delightfully out of hand
#Chaos Bird- Acier had an albino golden eagle, and she terrorized her children with it. It’s still alive, and still terrorizing them
#Behind the Clover- Your classic Characters-as-their-actors AU
#Water Flowers- Au(s) where Nebra and Solid are flower Vermillions
#Cake and Clover- me, my sister @loafingdragon, and our cousin watch Black Clover together while eating cake and making bad jokes
#Modern Knights- for any and all modern au posts!

I've been debating on whether or not to make this post for a couple of weeks now, but thankfully, earlier this morning, someone ctosstagging finally pushed me over the edge and I'll address the issue.
That crosstagging demon is none other than @gay-buchanan-barnes. This little hobgoblin came into the anti tony tag for no other reason than to start drama, because by their own admission, they "enjoy being a troll", which works out for the best because they're the one that gave me the motivation to do this. So here's to you, you obnoxious little shit, I couldn’t have done it without you!
Tumblr media
Well, I could have, but it’s more fun this way.
Recently, I’ve seen a big trend sweeping through Tumblr about how T*ny St*rk is bisexual, or, as our friend above said, pansexual.  I’m here to discuss said issue, and explain how T*ny being either of those things is offensive, and why so many of us are against it.  In this essay I will...
...
Yes, there is an actual essay.
For starters, I would like to point out something that isn’t talked about much on this website, particularly in the whole pro t*ny/anti t*ny debates, and that is that MCU T*ny is different than comic T*ny, of which there are many, many versions.  For this, I’ll be discussing MCU T*ny and 616 (mainstream marvel) T*ny.  Keep in mind, before we delve too deeply in this, that I don’t read the Iron Man comics, so when I discuss that, it’ll be based off of his appearances in other comics that I’ve read and the quick Google Search I just did.
Now let’s just get into the meat of this.
T*ny St*rk is not, in any way, any kind of good representation for bisexual/pansexual persons.  Now, I am a gay man, so please take what I’m about to say with a grain of salt, but I stand by that opinion.  One of the biggest issues that bisexual and pansexual persons face, aside from justifying their own sexualities (that’s a separate post in and of itself) is the harmful stereotype that they’re just greedy and that they’re playing both sides, which is where my distaste for people claiming T*ny is good bi rep comes in.
Anyone who knows me or has been on my blog, know that I try to promote bisexuality and asexuality awareness.  In regards to LGBT issues, that’s the hill I’ll chose to die on, if I have to.
Apparently, in a recent comic, T*ny takes himself off the market and announces that he’s no longer single, deleting his dating profile with a “sorry ladies and gents” so that he can date.... I believe it’s Janet van Dyne, but I could be wrong.
Well, that right there, the “ladies and gents” thing is just a giant spotlight in the sky signalling that T*ny is bixesual and blah blah blah.
Very quickly, as I said above, I don’t read the Iron Man comics, but I know that he’s been around for 55 years, and I understand that he’s just now getting a new series after he died originally (it’s so hard to keep up with Marvel’s timelines anymore), but one thing I do know is that T*ny never had a “permanent” love interest the way the other heroes did.  Like, I don’t read much outside of the X-Men comics, but I know that Betty Ross was Bruce Banner’s girl, and that Sharon Carter was in a relationship with Steve Rogers, Thor and Jane, etc.  Those are all iconic relationships from the comics that transitioned over to the MCU, but I don’t recall one for T*ny.  If it is Pepper like in the movies, that’s a whole “yikes” situation for me, but it’s not something I recall.
He is, as he referred to himself in The Avengers (2012), a playboy.  He sleeps around.  His promiscuity is one of his defining character traits, so much so that when I think of T*ny, one of the first things that pops into my head is “manslut”, which, no slut shaming because I believe in sexual liberation, but in regards to him being bisexual, it’s harmful.  Bisexual persons fight over and over, with both heterosexuals, and those in the Lesbian and Gay communities, trying to validate their sexuality and make it abundantly clear that they’re not trying to date/fuck more than one person at a time.  That’s not what bisexual means.
By claiming T*ny as positive bisexual representation, you’re just reinforcing that stereotype, and more often than not, it’s so that you can claim your headcanons and fanfictions regarding T*ny fucking half of the male Avengers as canon, because it gets your rocks off.
And when called out on this bullshit, I’ve seen plenty of people pull out the “representation” card.  I’m here to tell you all that there are actual, canonically bisexual characters in the Marvel Comics.  If you’d like to inspect them, or know who they are so that you can look them up, here is a list of them.  Here is a list of the few pansexual characters, too.
As you can see, there are actual characters that identify as bisexual and pansexual in the Marvel universe without you having to cram your headcanons down, usually for no other reason that (aside from it turns you on) than to claim that he’s oppressed in some way, or that he represents an oppressed minority in some way.  I ranted about this the other day.
All of this brings me to MCU T*ny, who, as I said before but will repeat again, is not comic T*ny.  One may be based on the other, but they are two separate entities.  Even if - if - T*ny St*rk was canonically bisexual (which he’s not) in the comics, that doesn’t mean he would be in the MCU.  We’ve had several things about characters from the comics either erased or altered altogether for the movies, because what is good in comic form doesn’t always translate well to film. That being said, T*ny still refers to himself as a playboy, even after he’s in a relationship with Pepper, which is really telling about him as a character. Keep in mind, that I’m just putting this in here as a What If scenario, because unless Marvel confirms or denies that T*ny is bisexual, he’s strictly a straight.
Before anyone jumps down my throat about how “straight isn’t the default” keep in mind, that T*ny has only been shown in relationships (sexual or otherwise) with women, and while it isn’t nice to assume that he couldn’t be anything other than straight, keep in mind that there aren’t a lot of bisexual characters in comics.  They don’t need to rely on innuendo and subtle references, they need direct statements.
To quote one Eleanor Shellstrop, “It’s 2018.  It’s like, get over yourselves already.”
At the end of the day, T*ny St*rk is not bisexual, or pansexual, and if you don’t understand how promoting him as such is harmful to the actual bisexual and pansexual communities and if you don’t understand that, than I can’t help you.
Granted, there is nothing to stop you from promoting this, which you’re fully entitled to do, even if it is a bit disturbing, but maybe, don’t be like the person that caused this entire rant and don’t crosstag because you wanna start trouble.

Reylo shippers = Twilight Mums/Moms
I don’t know if I’m the first one to make this connection yet but Reylo shippers are a lot of like that travesty of human evolution known as Twilight Mums/Moms.
Twilight Mums/Moms were these women who became creepily obsessed with Edward and Jacob from the Twilight saga and self inserted themselves into these ships (or back then they were known as teams: Team Edward / Team Jacob). Sound familiar?
It’s a lot like the women now who creepily obsess over Kylo Ren and see Reylo as nothing more than a self insert ship.
There is no denying that Bella and Edward was an unhealthy relationship. It was toxic. It pushed out the messages that the guy is allowed to have control - watch you while you sleep / that having a boyfriend is the most important thing in the world. These Twilight Mums/Moms didn’t care about that though. Admitting that would have interrupted the fantasy. And it’s the exact same with Reylos. They don’t care that he kidnaped her, tortured her, abused her both physically and mentally, and threatened to destroy her and all who she loves. Because to them it’s as if they are Rey.
____________________________________
Intermission: I’d like to point how that none of this is meant to shame the age of these shippers. I mention “Mum/Mom” a lot, but that was what they were called. This is looking at the similarities between these two. Okay, thank you.
____________________________________
Similar sounding quotes made by Edward and Kylo Ren:
“I don’t have the strength to stay away from you anymore” - Edward, Twilight
This quote is basically what started this whole Twilight Mum/Mom fall in evolution. It’s eerily similar to:
“You know I can take whatever I want” - Kylo Ren, The Force Awakens
Both creepy sounding sentences said to women these guys barely knew; sentences that became sexualised when in reality if this was said in person they’d be sprayed with bear mase.
These mothers never cared for Bella (tbh Bella was awful); only lusted after Edward and Jacob. It was always a self insert for them. It’s just like how Reylos now don’t care for Rey. They just obsess over Kylo and put themselves where Rey is - or where they want Rey to be.
I mean how could you care for the female character? One, if you ignore the vampirism, is stalked, obsessed over, and watched while she slept - only cares for her relationship above else. Is that cared about? Nah. The guy is pretty. The other, is kidnaped and abused in various ways. Is that cared about? Nah, the guy is sexy.
I cannot see how you could care about this female character while obsessing over this horrible relationship.
Oh wait — yes I can. Because it’s a self insert ship.
__________________________________________
Note: I have not crosstagged. I have not tagged Reylo, Kylo Ren, or the main Star Wars tags. If you are a shipper and see this; two options: 1) block me. 2) put a # in front of your search to only see pro posts.

I'm sorry I'm trying to figure out what the frick "Shaladins" are? I tried scrolling through the tag and I'm still really confused and you are one fo the main people I see posting in the tag? Can you please explain to me what exactly is going down rn and what exactly a Shaladin is?
I gotta set up a glossary page for the vld fandom too at this point. Half my inbox is literally “what does X mean?”.
Too many terms being slung around……
Anyway:
Shaladin: any shipper who ships Shiro with one of the other paladins* (Keith, Lance, Hunk or Pidge).
*Allura’s in a weird grey area because she was considered to be Space Mom & an adult up until her VA confirmed that she was a teenager. The Shiro/Allura shippers are heavily split between Shallurantis (antis who make excuses to ship it despite Allura being an “underaged teenager”), Shitllurans (a subset of shallurantis who are the worst of the worst & turned on any shaladins who tried to help them after Allura’s “age reveal” happened & Shallura became a “problematic ship”) & the actual Shallura shippers.
Anti: self-proclaimed name for fans who use social justice terms & a facade of fighting against online abuse/predators all so their favorite ship can win a ship war. Often harasses the staff of the canon or encourages harassment of the staff. Never calls out the abusive maniacs in their own community even if they commit actual crimes. Favors an overly fluffy sparkly pastel aesthetic for their blogs, trashy memes & sucking up to minor celebrities completely unrelated to the canon’s production in order to boost their own ship. Basically a fujoshi stereotype who accuses other shippers of being fujoshi stereotypes & refuses to acknowledge that they themselves are fujoshi stereotypes. Accuses other people of sexualizing minors while they themselves consume/create porn of their own ship (even if the characters are minors).
Klantis: antis who specifically ship Keith/Lance, aka Klance. They manage to keep their ship at its #1 spot on Fandometrics by spamming Klance & crosstagging it everywhere. Every time a rival ship creeps up the rankings, they double down on the spam & start a new wave of anti-ship harassment to discourage those shippers.
Leakira: AU made by klantis after s7 dropped & they realized that Klance would not be canon. It’s a “re-write” of Voltron where the supporters for Leakira actually believe that they can buy all the rights to Voltron in just 10 years. There is no plot or story, just an “lgbtq+ poc” version of the Voltron characters where they are “extra” POC & have “extra” POC names (Leandro for Lance & Akira for Keith). Broganes & Shiro/Adam are also things that feature in this AU & Pidge is “re-imagined” to be Jewish so she’s “more ethnic”, despite the fans accusing her Jewish voice actress to be a “white d*ke”. Shiro is re-named to be Hachiko & is now Keith/Akira’s adopted father & the only “straight” characters are the villains & the parents (because this is literally a strawman caricature of how life works). Akira & Leandro have nothing in common with Keith & Lance other than color themes & similar jokes. Their polar opposite personalities & relationship to their canon counterparts is another sign that klantis never truly cared about the characters or Voltron’s story in the first place.
Broganes: An AU where Shiro is Keith’s adoptive brother/father/uncle despite them having 2 entirely different families in canon. Named because of early fanon where Keith is Japanese & has the surname “Kogane” like in previous iterations of Voltron. Often buys into racist stereotypes regarding Asians & generic sitcom tropes regarding sibling relationships. Most often used to get Shiro away from Keith as a romantic interest so Keith can be shipped with Lance. Allura was paired with Shiro as “space mom”, but was later replaced with Adam. Keith is often characterized as a whiny emo younger brother who is bratty towards exasperated big brother Shiro & they pull pranks on each other (usually taken from lame Vines). They are also shown to be relatively uncaring of each other & distant, so that Lance can easily worm his way into Keith’s life as a boyfriend. AU first created by a 14 year old girl who’s obsessed with her sister, based the AU off of her idealized romanticized relationship with her sister & used to draw fanart for a R-18 Nitro+Chiral BL game (a company famous for games with gore, rape, bestialiaity, mechaphilia & general mindfuckery).
Dirty Laundry: the most popular & overrated Klance fic on ao3, often lauded to be the peak of Klance fics by klance shippers. Its popularity stemmed from popular klantis boosting it on their blogs only to shred it apart when DL’s Lance’s autistic brother appeared in it. The klantis ripped it apart for being racist, ableist, sexist, etc. & the author orphaned the fic after completing it due to the harassment she was getting from both sides (as shippers hated it too because of how hard the klance shippers were pushing it). Most infamous for a scene at the end where Keith & Lance danced to the song Gasolina, literally the least romantic song you could ever dance to. Popularized many of the tropes commonly seen in Klance fics. Was written before Lance was revealed to be Cuban, so DL has Mexican Lance instead.
There are more terms to be added, but I’ll make a proper page for it & add them later.

Not to start shit but in that post in which you‘re complaining about ppl tagging other characters in posts that aren‘t even about them you did the exact same thing?
i mean, to be pretty blunt; one, ur on anon which means ur p cowardly and shit but w/e, i guess your anxious even tho my following is piss poor. and i figured someone would say this eventually. difference is *MINE* is about the fucking other characters, and how no one wants crosstagging. its more of a global announcement and callout. what, do you want me to involve every single character for an example to make people feel dumb for not understanding just a 1 one them? no, im not doing that, dude. that’s condescending. tldr; i tagged everyone because its ABOUT everyone. it’s to tell everyone in every tag ‘STOP DOING THIS’ rather than some shit of ‘oh well!!! i like julian!! #asra #nadia #portia’ and theyre not in the post. dunno how the fuck that was not legible by just reading my post but clearly you didnt babe.

Hello! ^^ I was wondering, how do you get your art recognized and stuff. I posted but idk how to get it to show up and all that(and I don't mean tags lol). Bc ur an amazing artist, I was wondering if you had any advice? And your art is sooo beautiful.
Hi! I think that the easiest way is obviously through fanart, especially for ships! That’s how I started in this fandom c: I guess it’s different from fandom to fandom, but your art can easily be found in this one if you tag it properly and if your blog settings allow your blog to appear in searches. I still want to say this tiny thing about tags and it’s about unnecessary tags on your work. And I don’t mean your thoughts but tagging a bunch of things in the hopes it will be more visible. Only the first 5 tags will actually appear in the search for those who look for content on the desktop version of tumblr anyway, and crosstagging is also kinda annoying and makes ppl seem desperate. I would also advice you to not tag individual characters for ship drawings since you never know when a salty person might appear to police you lol Another thing that might be helpful, and that I actually like to see, is that expressing yourself makes you seem more approachable~ It’s nice to see ppl saying stuff in the tag sections for their own posts or the posts their reblog intead of seeing them just throwing things in the internet void and reblogging stuff without ever saying what they like or think about the content they put on their blog c:And that’s pretty much all I’ve done lol my drawings were a bit ugly and very unpolishied when I bought my tablet and posted some of my experiments on here 3 years ago, so it took a while to get my first hundred of notes on a digital drawing (and I felt tumblr famous tbh) but I still wasn’t ignored since ppl in the fandom are super welcoming to new artists for their fave ships and characters (but mostly ships and it still depends on how activity a tag has; some things might get lost).Hope you get the recognition you want and have fun sharing your art! Thanks for the compliment 💕
