Question from a guy thats stupid and doesn't know anything about computers. How do i start learning more? Like i would say i know the basics but thats it,do you have a source or something that you use ? (Again sorry if the question is stupid i just don't know)

Not a stupid question at all!

The basic resources are JayzTwoCents, Gamer's Nexus, and LinusTechTips. I've ordered them by reliability there.

When it comes to picking parts, which I suspect you might be struggling with, there's a lot to consider. Websites like PCPartPicker, PC Bottleneck Calculator, and videocardbenchmark are all fantastic resources.

Here are a few things from me to you, though:

1. NVIDIA are evil; if you want a GeForce card, buy refurbished. Also, 40 series cards are WAY overpriced for what you're getting. I'll always recommend AMD's Radeons anyways though, since they have way more VRAM.

2. Intel are selling snake oil right now and I wouldn't buy anything from them. AMD's Ryzen chips would be my choice even if Intel weren't being scammers right now.

3. ASUS have been consistantly fucking over their customers for a few months, so don't buy from them (especially their motherboards and graphics cards). JayzTwoCents literally banned them as a sponsor because of their horseshit and faulty products.

4. Research manufacturers just as much as you research the parts themselves! MSI is the king of the game right now, but everyone has their strengths and weaknesses. For exams, Gigabyte uses a concerning amount of ABS plastic, ASUS are pulling an Apple, and Zotac can be pretty inconsistent.

5. If you're buying a pre-built (which I wouldn't recommend, but you do you), research the builder and read as many reviews as possible. I know Build Redux is big right now because they sponsored LTT a bunch, but their shipping materials are cheap and reviews say that computers are being delivered broken. Digital Storm overprice the FUCK out of everything, iBuyPower are filthy liars, and Alienware pre-builts are built so odd that it'll be hard to do maintenance or upgrades later on.

Oh, and take everything with a grain of salt. Things change frequently, so there's a decent chance that certain brands or products are better or worse than a few months ago.

And if you have specific questions, ask them specifically! "What graphics card should I buy?" Is a very different question than "what's a good graphics card to pair with my cpu?"

Your com prices, like Khory, could stand to get a bit bigger. ;3 But real talk if you find you sell out of coms very fast that is a great time to consider upping the prices at least a bit of not more!

OHHH I get so flustered everytime someone says that I should up my prices 😭😭 It's so hard because I wouldn't want to overprice my works, and I'm always a bit worried if they are too much already or ???

I was already told this, I know. But there is some reasons why I haven't yet :

- I don't want to overprice/the coms being unaffordable

- Artists I see with higher prices are way more pro than I, I don't draw much anymore and I always feel a bit disapointed about the result of the coms

- I had the chance to have some people tip me when they feel like i deserve it

I strongly believe that growing up with little money /can/ make you addicted to earning/saving money

I'm an autistic adult. I grew up with my parents constantly telling me "maybe next time" when finding a toy I liked, or telling me to pick something cheap to have for dinner. Even now, we are barely scraping by.

I found that once I was able to start selling some canvas paintings for money, I would get a boost of happiness whenever receiving it. Not in a greedy way, and I wouldn't overprice my stuff, it just made me feel so good to have money. I got so used to /wishing/ for things and I was finally able to buy some things, now it wasn't much but it was something.

I'm not blaming my parents for not having money to carelessly spend because it isn't their fault, and inflation is really kicking our butts. I was really immature with money when I first started earning it because I finally felt freedom to order things online and it felt so good. But now, I don't really have anyone to sell my canvas paintings to, and I can't get a job at the moment, so that pinch of freedom is gone again. That happiness I'd get when someone wanted something I made, it's gone again. I'm desperately trying to earn money for my sick dog but at this point nothing is working

I'm saving up every coin I get to give to my dog because she doesn't deserve to be miserable

But it's so hard to get money these days especially when your extended family distances themselves from you when figuring out you're mentally disabled or mentally ill or whatever

This community is alright, I think! Many of the concerns are valid, but in the end, it's not your CS, so if you don't like it, you can leave. The people complaining about a flat sale raffle of $50 may have a small point of being a bit overpriced (since it's a chibi bun, not a humanoid chibi) but it is much more affordable + the free raffles that happen. Not to mention getting an MYO slot is pretty easy with carat if you do prompts and sell things. You can get free blessings every day that add up to another MYO slot you can get (2) for free. And the myo sales are $30 for a hell in a handbasket and $40 for envy (which they put rules in place that you can't overprice/scalp) Unlike dainties that take a literal HALF A YEAR to get 1 REG myo slot!! Not to mention you have to have 0-2 fewer dainties! It's absolutely insane !! It's hard to get a reg slot through trading/art and you have to be SUPER lucky and SUPER fast to be able to snag a dainty for base price when they do get posted. As for the doll auction prices reaching over $500. Honestly, good for the artist!! People bitch and whine but in reality, they are so jealous and wouldn't bat an eye if THEY were the ones in that position. Artists who made it make me super happy and proud because it gives me hope that I can one day reach that. Artists SHOULD be paid for the YEARS of their trade. It's not like they are millionaires man. Let them have some good pocket money. Please don't fall into the FOMO. I know there are GA artists offering their art/customs atm (like Veil! Their art is lovely) or they do open for affordable pricing. But please don't complain about adults spending their hard-worked money on things they want to get. People say it's absurd to spend that much but if it's a hobby or thing people collect irl it's the same IMO. Let people enjoy things and stop being so bitter and mad and learn to just enjoy things or else it will destroy you in the end. cheers

Happy Valentine's Day ❤💙🌹

Today is the best day for a guy like him ,When love is prominent in the air we breathe and he can't help but to inhale. Because ,He,Demetri Alexopolous , is in a relationship with Eli Moskowitz. A guy who is in love with him for his whole personality even when he still hasn't learn to stay quiet.

Today is a great opportunity to express his love to Eli while others do the same with either box of chocolates, Flowers,Teddy bears , Public sex(Teenagers these days are getting hornier than ever), and Cheesy card's .

Yup, You guessed it. It's Valentine's Day !

He felt like he was walking on air with how happy he felt , ready to hand his gifts to his boyfriend and not feel miserable with each step he took because he was single.

Nothing changed around here, There was a hormonal couple kissing stationed in each corner he took , with one last turn he arrived at his locker. Placing in his code and swinged the metal locker open .

Taking his backpack off to take out his gifts that he took his time in getting. First came a box which he wrapped himself watching a YouTube video 3 times.

Lie. It was 10 times.

He really wanted to get it right . The wrapping paper was red with hearts all around and a blue bow sat perfectly on top . Eli had said once how blue and red are their colors.

Next was a box of chocolates that were Elis favorite and not to mention overprice but whatever to fullfill his baby's heart.The chocolates were also covered in wrapping paper that was Spongebob theme.

Their first I-Love-You's was not how Demetri dreamt for years and imagine to have but he wouldn't trade it for the world.

They were at Eli's house , high as fuck on good weed , passing the joint until nothing was left and soon came in the munchies. Both sat in front of the tv that Eli had in his room,  Popcorn, Doritos and Nerds were all over the carpet when they threw at each other to catch it with their mouths.

Spongebob played making them laugh too hard making their bellys ache and face hurt from smiling.

Demetri grabbed Eli's hand making him turn his direction. His blue eyes were hypnotizing with how blue they looked and Eli smiles .

"I love you , Dem." Said Eli with a soft tone and a lovesick expression. He reached forward and gave him a soft sweet kiss making him feel on cloud nine. Maybe it was the weed. Or knowing those lips were on his and not on any others .

" I love you too." He says out of breath and goes back to kissing Eli. Spongebob laughing in the background and forgotten.

Spongebob had a new meaning to them , that might seem funny to others like to their friends. In where he was heading off to next but not before he looked at himself in the mirror he now had glued to his locker.

His soft ebony hair, he switched to a better conditioner that Moon and Yasmine suggested , combed to the side and not astray hair in sight and fixed his collar of his blue pastel button up that had patterns   and checked if  his vans were dust-free. Check, Check, Check.

He gave one last smile to his reflection and headed to his spot . The friend group change a bit . Still remain were him, Eli Sam, Miguel, Tory, Robby, Chris and Mitch.

Two new members were added since Aisha had to move schools but still met up with them afterschool when she had the chance.

Update of their squad, Sam and Tory get along really well making him and Robby conspirace that the two girls and miguel might become a poly . Which somehow ends up Miguel being kicked out of the relationship .

Robby and Miguel no longer had problems since now Robby spent all his spare time to fight with Rickenberger- one of the new addition to the group.

At first Demetri and Sam defended and had Robby's back because who ever messed with their friends messed with them . But soon enough it just became an acustom they all gotten use to, it was like watching a chihuahua or pomerian and a pitbull bark at eachother .

It was entertaining.

Tory thought it was hilarious and even made a bet in how long it would take for them to fuck it out of their system . Demetri listened to Sam protest about how wrong it was for her to do that and then placed 20 on the spot.

Everyone who placed a bet had to renew every month since the two boys never snap out of their pride to do something of their build up tension.

Demetri place money where Tory did , The michevious blonde set date on today so Demetri did aswell. The girl is bestfriend with Robby and Doug so she must know when they will break .

Back to the present.

Arriving at the hangout where is near the History and between English classrooms and in the middle of the building there is a fountain minus the water And bench to sit that usually was occupied by them.

Arriving he is greeted by the sunny smile of Miguel and Sam sparkling  grin . Tory just gave him a unspirited wave and went back to listening music but beside her layed a heart shaped fluff that had a frown and a card .

Miguel and Sam having similar ones and  balloons filled with confetti.

"How did it went with the wrapping paper ?" Sam ask curious , she unsticks herself from Miguel and sits beside Tory .

"Suprisingly hard like who knew there were many steps to make the perferct wrapped gift. "

" Me neither until you told me over the phone " Sam said making Miguel chuckle .Demetri can bet he can wrap a box better than him with perfect symetrical folds.

"Don't know why you suffer by doing all that , the gift could be in a plastic bag and he would love it and claim to be the best gesture in the world." Tory quipped while fixing her hair out of her face . Sam and Miguel agreed making humming noises.

"You could give the guy a rock and he would give you an award for it." Rickenberger retorts , everyone knew how the two boys were sappy and fools for eachother.

"You guys are exagerating , especially you ." He points at the tall boy who chuckles while giving Tory a pointed look .

"Have you seen Robby ?." Rickenberger ask . looking closely the guy look good more than usual. His hair isnt messy but styled and wore a white-pink sweatshirt underneath his black leather jacket .

The question piped everyone interest. He swears if the guy doessnt make a move today he will throw-No , He will make Eli throw hands at the guy.

" Yeah , He is with Eli , he needed a hand with something ." Miguel says .

Mitch arrives with Mickey and Chris at his sides and starts to inform them about a couple being caught cheating and the girl throwing cupcakes at the guy.

Soon enough the bell rang , Sam gave her goodbyes and left , Miguel,Mitch ,Chris and Mikey left the same direction and Tory with Rickenberger .

He followed them walking behind them .

In 3rd period , Ms.Buenohills steps out , And he turns around in his seat to look behind him . Other student get up and talk to their friends. Sam , Tory and Robby were in this class .

They came over and sat near him.

"Today we can spend it at my house . We can have fun instead of hanging outside of GolfnStuff and getting kicked out of there."

"Lawrusso won't mind that a bunch of teenagers come over even when we are usually over there all the time." Demtri ask making Tory roll her eyes at combined name of Mr. L and Mr.Lawrence . Its more easier that way.

" The Lawrusso, are going on a double date leaving us with a parent free house!" Robby smile michieviously for a second and then he gets serious ," But we can't go over the top and break Daniel trust." And goes back to his phone . Was that a rose in his hands?

"Thats fine by me ."Demetri and the two girls nodded and rush back to their seats before the teacher came back.

This day is going great.

This day just turn bad.

Here he was listening to his lovely boyfriend apologizing about how he forgot it was Valentine's and he didn't have time to get him anything .

Demetri heart is full-on about forgiveness but they share a joint-calendar that he dowloaded and marked down every important dates like holidays,birthdays, anniversaries and even dentists appoinments.

It only got worse when he asked how he forgot since he had the calendar which Eli responded with .

" I deleted that stupid app . Stupid and unnecessary notifications kept popping up for dumb stuff like you going to the mall to buy new clothes or paper. "

What was the matter of planning to buy flashcards and pinning it to your calendar. He cancels on their hangout with their friends and leaves without letting Eli continue offend his precious calendar.

......

Demetri mood worsened when he checks his phone and see no apology texts from Eli . He debates for a good minute to throw it to the wall .

Home is empty with his mom at work making the house feel empty . The only sound in the household is from the footsteps it takes to go to his room.

Demetri wants to just throw himself to his bed and just let his sorrows drown him into a sleepful dream but he does a double-glance at his desk .

A box of Nerds. That wasn't there when he left for school. His mother didn't like him eating candy so it can't be her.

Picking it up and turning the box around he finds a note written in sharpie.

An adress where he never been or heard of and time to be there. At the bottom is written 4 words making him smile involuntarily.

I LOVE YOU DEM.

He takes an Uber . Not even bothering to make conversation , his friends has mention on multiple ocassion he needs to fix his conversation skills. Rude. He doesn't go on to point out all their defaults like how crabby Robby gets when he hasn't had coffee or how whiny Sam gets when someone contradicts her but whatever not like he cares.

"This is it." The guy states as he parks the car..

It was dark only making it worse that he has to walk into an alley all alone . So many things that could go wrong and all for Eli.

He really does love him but at the level of death, being kidnapped, or being robbed that’s a whole other level. Don't judge him he is allowed to be scared.

Further upon there’s street lamps and if he listens closely he can hear 'sss' sounds like when a pop tire letting out the air.

Taking bold steps and taking a sharp turn he is met with his boyfriend and friends vandalizing the wall in black attire and weirdly Robby carrying a huge ass teddy bear almost the same size as his height with stained purple hands.

“ What were you guys thinking . If the police find out we can get into big trouble they can give us a fine or even worse we will be charge for felony.” Coming closer and scrunching up his nose from the strong smell. Now realizing why they had their half of their faces covered.

"Dude with all that shouting we will."Rickenberger whispered harshly and the others nodded along .

" Dem , i just wanted to say-" Eli stops and turns around at their friends who were listening in , "Can me and my boyfriend have some privacy." he asked rhetorically.

"We will stick out as sore thumb in the lighg so just ignore us and go on ." Miguel signaled his hand for him to continue with no shame that he wanted to hear.

"I have this speech prepared but i didn't plan on having an audience so i will keep it short .Im sorry for not taking your calendar seriously nor realising how important today is. This date is special to me too since it was when i kissed you for the first time . I love you and your big-

"We don't want to hear about that. Keep it PG !,"Tory interrupted Eli making him roll his eyes .

"I was SAYING , I love your big heart and im lucky for you to love me and try to stop me into doing really insane ideas with Miguel and Rickenberger. I love you."  Eli gives him a big beautiful smile and takes his hand taking him to see the wall .

It was him .In a cartoon version but it was awesome and so detailed . He was carrying Eli and they had their Gi on , Eli mohawk was so exagerrated and on the bottom it had written in bold purple letters

" You did this." The artwork has him suprise and with no words to express how awesome it was.

"I did you .The others helped too." Eli grinned feeling proud that Demetri look impressed. Mission accomplish

"That explains the stained hands on everyone but not the gigantic bear." He takes a quick picture and ask the teddy bear in the room.

"They didn't gave me enough time to drop it off ." Robby hugged the bear tighter ,"Atleast i didn't bring the other stuff that Doug gave me." he said so casually not comprehending how his sentence shocked them.

Everyone stood still . Staring at the two boys who they now realise where standing to closely and not trying to kill each other .

"You gave him the bear." Miguel ask suspiciously.

"Yes."Doug confirms. Robby squinted his eyes at their behaviors. He turns to look at the taller boy who looks as equally confused as him.

"Why?" Sam questions trying to get on the intel.

"Why not?"Doug shifted around and looked weirded out with the skepticism from the group.

"Are you two together-together ? Like the whole holding hands , making out , a handy in the package." Hawk asked like a maniac. Money was on stake .

" Dude..."

"Just answer the question ! Are you guys fucking or Dating ." Tory ask feeling jittery and excitement build up .

"We are dating ." Robby says destroying the hope of his three friends.

"Oh My God!" Tory shrieks suprising everyone that she can make that sound.

Sam,Miguel and Eli groaned . On the other hand Demetri and Tory started screaming because they just won cash .

"Pay up suckers!" Tory stuck her tongue out and her hand waiting for them to cash up.

"You guys made a bet on us. I shouldnt be suprised." Robby rolled his eyes and slinged his arm with Dougs.

"I honestly doubted you guys would get together today but it payed off !"

Receiving the money Tory started to split it with him but Rickenberger spoke up making them freeze again.

"We didn't."

"What."

"We have been together like a week ago." Robby clarifys .

"Last week you guys were fighting."Demetri couldn't believe what he was hearing . All that money is not his.

"We were arguing because Doug didn't want to admit that he was the one that initiated the kiss."

"I didn't. " Doug claimed but the a second later he say the truth with a proud smile  " Okay i did."

"That means..." Eli trailed off making them come to a realization.

"Yoooo! Johnny won." Miguel shouted .

"Even my father placed a bet on us."

" Im going to ignore them now. Are we good now."Eli done with the whole mystery and the fact he lost the bet he focus on Demetri.

"Yea. I think you won on getting the best gift. " Demetri and Eli laugh at that. Demetri gives Eli a kiss and hugs him for a breif moment.

"I always win." Eli says in a cocky tone and puffing his chest.

"Ok im going to ignore you said that and we should leave before anyone calls the police" Demetri really shouldn't stroke his boyfriends ego . This night really suprised him and Valentine's really became one of his favorites holiday even if its a advertisment for people to waste money and make single people feel miserable.

"My place or yours." Eli says with gleaming eyes . Excited to spend some time alone with his babe.

"Mine. Moms working all night. Should we tell them were leaving."Looking behind them , they were still arguing and for who knows how long .

"They'll notice. " Eli dismiss it with a mischevious laugh and took his arm to walk faster to leave the empty alley.

This day was definitely a memorable one.

Juliet says she stands for female empowerment, but she doesn't. She stands for women who are:

-White

-Conventionally attractive by society's standards

-Skinny

-Wealthy

-Loud and opinionated (no shy girls allowed apparently)

-Tough and masculine

She says she stands for women empowerment but fails to include all the women of different cultures, sizes, classes, races, styles, looks, etc. She got cheek fillers and lip injections (falling right into society's toxic beauty standards towards women instead of opposing them), thanks people when they comment on how skinny she looks, constantly uses makeup and filters to make herself look better (nothing wrong with makeup and filters, but if you want to stand for female empowerment, maybe don't promote the number one things that make them insecure about their natural appearances?), doesn't want plus size women to wear crop tops, has made an extremely fatphobic statement for everyone to see, even her insecure fans, overprices all her merch and items on Depop so that people in lower class families can't afford it while she already has more than enough wealth and certainly doesn't need more just to spend on herself, etc. She sinks right into society's impossible and toxic standards of beauty towards women and even encourages it onto her fans. That's not feminism, it's fat-shaming, lookism, and disgusting. I wouldn't be surprised if Juliet was the type of person to reject femininity and stereotype all girly-girls as vain and shallow mean girls.

^^yes exactly. the only thing i sort of disagree with is the mention of her getting fillers/plastic surgery i don't completely agree with the idea that her getting them goes against female empowerment as long as she got them to feel more confident about herself and she didn't get them for someone else. the fact that she isn't honest about her surgeries all the time is what bothers me. embrace doing things to make yourself happy/feel better about themselves, hiding it makes it worse imo

going off on the emulator thing but it is so strange how the rich higher ups at nintendo or any other big gaming company try so hard to prevent people from emulating games but at the same time try to pretend some more older games or gaming series don't exist but get mad that people emulate them hmm

tbh i love a lot of nintendo's gaming franchises like mario, zelda, kirby, earthbound/mother, pokemon, and animal crossing but i just hate how the greedy higher ups and how they try to shut down emulators (which makes gaming a whole heck a lot accessible) and overprice their games which makes it hard for fans who want to buy it hard to get and how they make their game developers rush their games just to appease the deadline and and even their own older games aren't safe from being hard to play if you want to play it on a console and getting it used for example there was a kirby game for gamecube i saw going for 80$!!! and a mario game for 120$!!! like jesus

if i was a game developer and i saw people playing my game on a console and an emulator i wouldn't be mad at the person who downloaded it on the computer i just be happy that they are playing my game because who knows if they enjoy my game there are more fans and people to talk about my game!!

You made a lot of good points here! It’s all about the money, really. It always is :/ It must tie back to companies viewing piracy as a monetary loss when it’s really not because those people weren’t already paying for a product so it’s only a potential loss. But in a situation like this where old consoles are discontinued and go for really high online (which doesn’t even give the company money anyway so they’re not losing any potential either way) they’re just… not available. It makes me so mad too I wish they were all accessible! And exactly emulators help a lot with that! If I were a game developer I’d feel exactly the same way but they’re not usually the ones making the decisions to pull games and consoles from the market or setting unreasonable deadlines for their coworkers/employees. It’s usually the higher-ups who don’t do any of the actual work on the game and get the most profit. Ughhh ig sucks. Luckily there are still good emulators out there if you look! I’m using Citra rn (found the game file elsewhere) for a 3ds game (they might have more consoles but im not sure) and I met a few roadblocks but I was able to work around them. Hopefully it stays that way. Theoretically the point of video games should be that everyone can play them but no it’s about money I guess.
