During quarantine, I got back into vocaloid and that’s cool and great—my problem is that this lead me to download project sekai (the hit game featuring Hatsune Miku) now my life is all consumed by this rhythm game to the point that while trying to listen to other things or go to sleep after playing it, I see the little note boxes and hear auditory illusions of the noises the notes make (either missing or hitting them) as if whatever I’m listening to or my imagination itself has to be beat-mapped to a level as all things in life can be project sekai if you open your mind

And even though you hope, and I mean REALLY hope that it’s just a bad day, it never really is. It’s a bad week, in the very least, sometimes a bad month. And all the sounds become so muffled, and every visual so blurry. Your heart hurts, your body aches, your mind is killing you.

At first you were scared, but now you don’t feel anything. You’re all alone, because even people who want to understand, who want to care… they just can’t. You float weightless through life, too tired to do anything about the pain.
