I’ve noticed in your posts you always mention Harry’s endgame is Ginny or no one, but you’ve never mention it the other way around? I’ve always thought those two loved each other equally and they were each other’s endgames in every universe. Do you believe Ginny doesn’t love Harry as much as he loves her? Or that his love isn’t enough for her? I don’t think anyone could love, support, or make Ginny Weasley as happy as Harry Potter could, and I don’t think any man or women could make her feel the way Harry could, and vice versa.

the following is my opinion, and my opinion only:

to your point, yes, i totally 100% believe that ginny loves harry as much as he loves her. to be explicit, in canon, it is harry or no one for ginny. they have just gone through hell and back for each other that, personally, i just do not see them even considering being with anybody else after the war. the series ended in a way that implied that harry's main priority was going to be centered around building something with ginny, and judging by the fact that ginny never said she was going to wait for him, there's no canon evidence to suggest that she didn't wait in her 6th year (though, obviously, there were more pressing matters at the time.)

to me, it was always inevitable that they would fall back together. they would, of course, have many problems to deal with (harry's communication issues, ginny's fresh grief, harry coming to terms with ginny's very dark circumstances, ginny's sense of self-preservation, amongst so many other things that i think @whinlatter's Beasts does a phenomenal job of tackling, and i can't wait to read more. (those dang eggcups goddamnit 😭.)

now why do i talk more about harry loving ginny than vice versa? frankly because fandom seems adamant on proving just the opposite. and i absolutely refuse to give an inch about it. at risk of pissing everyone off, i'm also more likely to read ginny/other, if not for any other reason than to spite the haters. plus, ginny's love life is so interesting; if you think about it, she really "dated" all tropes of men: the toxic guy (tom riddle, if you count intimacy as not just romantic), the "nice guy" (michael corner), and the guy who's just generally a great person but not the one for ginny (dean thomas). how could you not want to read about it? and it's so beautiful, thinking that after all of that, she finds her way back to harry.

and...(tw) harsh truth alert... 🚨

honestly? truthfully? there just is more canonical evidence of harry caring about ginny. (again, this does NOT mean that i'm saying that harry loves ginny more than ginny loves harry.)

why? because unlike ginny, we can actually see inside harry's head. we know for a fact he thinks of her as his greatest source of comfort from book six. we know for a fact he thinks of her like family since book seven. we know for a fact that she is his last thought before he freakin' dies. we do NOT know for fact that ginny thinks these things because we cannot see inside her head. while ginny's feelings for harry are an interpretation (a heavily evidence-based one for sure, duh, i'd be stupid not to think that), harry's feelings for ginny are just...reality.

it's like arguing evolution vs gravity. one is a theory, and the other is legitimately a law.

though you'll still have people argue that neither are true, and...well. welcome to the harry potter fandom.

You were a simple sinner demon, trying to find their way through hell

When you heard of the happy hotel you decided to go check it out

And by check it out I mean get a free room and lots of therapy (bc we all need it lets be honest)

Now you joined before the whole news fiasco and Alastor

On the morning of the interview Charlie and Vaggie were rushing to make the hotel look good for any new potential sinners

And angle had left earlier for who knows what

You decided to stay at the hotel while Charlie and Vaggie left to 666 news

You watched the whole showdown on the tiny tv in the lobby

You felt kinda bad for Charlie, knowing that after that interview no sinner would want to be a part of the hotel

Suddenly your phone started ringing

You checked the caller ID to see it was charlie

So you answered

"Heya charlie...I saw the interview, how're you holding up?"

You heard her answer, voice wavery like she had been crying

"Oh pfft I'm totally fine, it's not like many demons watch the news anyways.."

You could tell by her tone that she was faking enthusiasm

"Listen...(Y/n) , the limo got a flat tire. We may take a bit longer to get to the hotel. Sorry"

You shrugged her of before realizing she couldn't see you

"Nah it's fine, don't worry about the hotel. I'm keeping an eye on it"

She sighed in relief

"ok, thank (Y/n). Hopefully we won't be much longer"

With that you ended the call and started scrolling through your phone out of boredom

Ten or so minutes later you heard a knock on the door

Thinking it was charlie returning you went to open the door

To your surprise and horror you found the radio demon at the door

"Hel-" your spammed the door in confusion, before opening it again "-lo"

You slammed it again

You looked around the empty lobby trying to decide if you should let the monster outside in or not

Gathering all the courage you could you opened the door again

"May I speak now?"

You blinked up at the radio demon

"Uh...sure?"

"Alastor, darling, pleasure to meet you quite a pleasure"

He spoke with such enthusiasm and energy it was hard to believe he was dangerous

"Forgive me for my sudden intrusion but I saw the disaster on the picture show and just had to visit this place!"

You nodded awkwardly

"Might I ask where the manager is?"

It took you a sec to process what he said

Manager--owner.. Charlie

"Oh uh she's not here right now... sorry"

You responded quietly

"Oh? Do you happen to where she is, my dear?"

"Uh, flat tire"

You said dumbly

His grin somehow grew wider as he looked around

"so it's just you and I then?"

You nodded

"Well then what a delightful surprise!"

"Suuure.."

You said slowly

"I'm not sure if I'd be as affective as charlie, but I'm sure I can help you with whatever you need"

Alastor chuckled

"Oh no, darling, though I appreciate your efforts I'm afraid what I have to say only concerns the princess"

"Oh," you said awkwardly, "well shes gotten held up sooo.."

Alastor raised an eyebrow

You shrugged awkwardly

"Idk when she'll return" you finished

"Well then I suppose I'll wait here!" Alastor responded

You squeaked in surprise and groaned quietly

You heard his static filled chuckle behind

"I don't believe I caught your name, darling"

"Oh, sorry, I'm (Y/n)" you gave him a polite smile

Later after charlie had returned with vaggie and angle in tow, and Alastor finally revealing why he had arrived

You were chilling in the library, lounging on an old couch while looking at fanart of your fav characters (*cough* tom riddle *cough*)

Suddenly there was a loud pop behind you, like static

You turned and saw no one

You shrugged it off as your imagination, and eventually fell asleep on the couch

Alastor appeared out of the shadows and watched you sleep for a moment, before carrying you back to your room

He didn't know who you were looking at, but he knew that after your encounter that morning, he wanted you all for himself

"You will be mine (Y/n)~"

5. Do you respond to comments? Why or why not? Yes, but only when I have anything to add. But I absolutely love reading comments.

6. What's the fic you wrote with the angstiest ending? I hate angst, I don't like reading nor writing it, but ig Bloody Skywalker has kind of an angsty ending for some because - spoiler - Anakin still turns to the dark side. To me, it's a win, but I saw some people being sad about it 😅 I have a Harry Potter fic about an OC x Death Eater that ends pretty angsty though.

7. What's the fic you wrote with the happiest ending? Almost all of my fics have happy endings, like I said, I hate angst. But let's say my Cedric Diggory fanfic in which he does not die and then has 5 children, a cottage and a wife with a tea shop.

8. Do you get hate on fics? Not really, but now that I had my first book published - which started as a fic originally - I'm sure I will 🥴

9. Do you write smut? If so, what kind? Yes, that's why I'm here on Tumblr. I'm a good girl on Wattpad and a smut freak here. All kinds of smut. I kinda want to try writing a threesome since I never wrote it before and that will take some courage 😆

10. Do you write crossovers? What's the craziest one you've written? No, I'm not a big fan of them, but a Moon Knight crossover in which Marc's next personality is Poe Dameron sounds very tempting.

15. What's the WIP you want to finish but doubt you ever will? Oh, for the love of Khonshu, the list is longer than the Nile.

16. What are your writing strengths? Based on thr compliments I usually get, I'd say it's describing emotions (which I hate doing) and sticking to the canon in fics (and not making OOCs).

17. What are your writing weaknesses? I forget about things I know I should apply - like show, don't tell rule - and I hate proofreading.

18. Thoughts on writing dialogue in another language for a fic? Depends. Sometimes it works if the reader isn't supposed to understand either, but you gotta make sure it's correct and not too much.

Anon's referring to this post, in which I muse on the possibility of Bella/Other Mainstream Characters. Bella Swan/Tom Riddle was mentioned and apparently, we're getting into it.

Bella Swan/Tom Riddle

Well, this is a giant can of worms, isn't it? I mean, how the hell does this happen? Are we talking isekai thanks to Bella's gift where she finds herself in Twilight during her New Moon depression haze? Are we talking total transplant where Tom Riddle's in the Twilight Universe or Bella's in the Harry Potter universe (because neither universe really plays all that nicely with the other)?

"Bella/Tom Riddle, go!" is almost too vague for me to work with here. Either I'd have to make arbitrarily specific circumstances/a fic or else just vaguely hand wave about it.

I Handwave

Well, what do we know about Bella Swan? She has about as much self-worth/self-respect that can fit into a thimble and were she in Harry Potter she would be crazy talented if we're taking the equivalent of what she can do in Twilight.

What do we know about Tom Riddle? He's very handsome, highly intelligent, very powerful himself, and extremely ambitious.

If we want Bella/Tom to work here I imagine Tom would recognize Bella's talent in a world where few do (both because they don't understand what magic is and Bella's a very shy, soft spoken, woman who is not going to be made head girl or prefect).

At Tom Riddle's attention, Bella uses him to provide herself with a sense of validation (as she did Edward) and goes onto justify the many terrible actions he takes to himself (as she did Edward). As she comes to increasingly rely on him she can never dare to be parted from him and so becomes further and further embroiled in Tom's ambitions and nihilistic rage.

Bella finds herself destroying her own country, not quite sure how this happened, and not quite sure what her relationship even is with Tom Riddle but so desperate for it to work out that she ignores the signs that anything are wrong.

Tom for his own part recognizes that he's destroyed this girl. The future she might have had, the life she might have lived, it's all gone now. Of course, so is his own, but he purposefully chose this life and Bella--just sort of fell into it due to terrible circumstances.

When Dumbledore describes Bella Swan to Harry it's as a fallen woman that Tom evilly corrupted.

I started reading fanfic when I was 11-13 years old. falls into Rabbit's Lair after innocent research into the canon just because I wanted to read more about it. it's funny because I read for a long time couples and plots keeping the canon, until I got to know the wonders of alternate universes. do you remember how it was for you?

I do! I started primarily in the Twilight fandom, but I read some HP fic too at the time. I liked Harmony (HarryxHermione) because I've always disliked Ron in canon and that was around the time I was gifted and read the 7th book. Like shortly after it came out, I think. So I was extra pissed off at Ron because of him ditching them in the forest.

I was also deeply over Edward and Jacob in every capacity in the Twilight series because they were problematic af, even if they were hot as hell in the movies. So I was tip toeing into the world of AU ships. I nose-dived hard into JasperxBella and CarlislexBella, but to this day like 90% of those begin with the premise of EITHER: A.) Alice/Edward cheats or B.) Esme and Carlisle aren't true mates. Literally all of them. Maybe one or two all human AUs didn't start that way but there was almost NO decent stories that weren't written by the same few titans in the pairing.

I wrote several fics with decent premises and absolutely god awful meme-tier writing (because I was fucking TWELVE) that have since been deleted. Sometimes people still message me asking about a few of them??? I don't understand??? The concepts were fine but I did them no justice??? I digress.

And mind you this was back when Twilight had like...maybe 70k fics total, I think? On FFN. I didn't even learn about AO3 until 2016. On FFN HP had like 550k fics back then? Its way more now for both.

HP was more intimidating because I didn't think anyone would even see my stories in that saturated of a fandom. I think I wrote one Twilight HP Crossover fic where Bella basically replaced Hermione, the Cullens showed up, got verbally shit on, Alice wanted to be a Hufflepuff, Bella-mione told them all to go fuck themselves, nobody trusted Dumbledore, and she was dating Harry. This fic was a travesty. And crossovers don't usually perform well anyway so like...that fic is gonna stay dead.

At some point between....2012 and 2013, I think, I purged all but one or two of my fics. I left my beauty and the beast fic that I need to finish. And my Hunger Games fic that is literal garbage because I wrote it in HIGH SCHOOL, but it was my most popular fic and my only completed fic.

I had gotten tired of reading Hunger Games fics, I didn't want to write Twilight fics bc original concepts didn't seem to get a lot of attention, just trope recycling. So I finally said fuck it and started writing HP fics. I'd been toying with The Fourth Blood Princess' plot for years, so I started playing with that.

Somewhere between 2013 and 2014, was into Tomione (not for the first time) and was inhaling all the fics where Hermione met Tom when they were both school aged. I was quickly burnt out on all the (delightful but) common time turner fics and I desperately wanted to know what would happen if the Diary was connected to 5th year Tom Riddle (sans horcrux) and if that Diary was given to Hermione.

I wrote most of the now archived version of Diary without posting a single word. I made a friend on this very website who I still talk to sometimes though she's no longer on Tumblr and let her read what I had. She encouraged me to post it.

And we know what Diary has turned into lmao. I still don't know why it has taken off the way it has, but I'm here for it. Still wish Fourth Blood Princess had gotten that attention sometimes, because I firmly stand by the fact that there are not enough fics where Severus get's a true chance to atone AND the love he deserves, but it's fine. Slowburns always out perform family-centric fics.

You and Ginny would make a fucking power couple, like, y’all are both so powerful and no one would mess with you guys.

You and Ginny would meet first year on the Hogwarts express! She would probably ask to sit with you because you looked cool and she really didn’t want to sit with her older brothers.

During the summer, Ginny convinces Molly to let you stay over for sleepovers and you two stay up all night giggling.

Your friendship became kind of strained when Ginny’s crush feelings for Harry only grew stronger.

You were jealous and you didn’t know why. You chalked it up to being scared Ginny would get a boyfriend and ditch you.

You and Ginny go to the Yule Ball together “as friends”

She does your makeup and you do hers, and it’s honestly the most fun you’ve had in ages.

You and her slow dance together. Both of you are smiling nervously through the whole thing, and Ginny feels butterflies in her stomach when she looks at you.

The next day, Draco attempts to make fun of you and you hit him with a bat bogey hex that could rival Ginny’s own. And Ginny just straight up hits him, with her fist, in the face.

McGonogall gives you both detention but goes easy on you because she knows Draco is a prejudice ferret who probably deserved it.

You had detention at the same time because McGonogall totally ships you two

Ginny literally develops a huge crush on you and her feelings for Harry fade.

She tries to kiss you and you push her away, “I’ve been second to Harry my whole life, and I will not be the person you settle for just because you can not have him. I won’t, not when I’ve spent my entire life loving you.”
