"Y/n! Where are you?"

You rolled your eyes, leaning comfortably against the thick tree branches as you watched your older brothers search for you under the tree.

"Y/n! Fine! You win! Just come out before Mother catches us!" Your third oldest brother, Beomgyu, shouted as your second brother, Soobin, combed through a bush. You watched with mild interest as your oldest brother Yeonjun jogged over to Beomgyu, whispering something in his year.

It has been eleven years since you have transmigrated into the game. You came to this world as the newborn daughter of the Royal family of Eternity. Since then, you have spent eleven years as Choi Y/n, the beloved Princess of Eternity.

And the goddamn villainess of that stupid Otome game Utopia.

"Y/n! I'm serious! We have guests over!" Beomgyu shouted, but once again, you ignored him. Out of your three brothers, Beomgyu always teases you. He likes to play harmless pranks on you, so you crossed your arms, watching as Yeonjun looked around. "She might have hidden back in the castle."

"Darn, why do they have to come at this time?" Beomgyu complained loudly. Soobin shushed him, frowning. "Beomgyu. Watch your mouth."

The three head back towards the castle, and you grinned in victory. Still on the tree, you stretched, putting your arms under your head as you looked at the sky through the leaves and branches.

The Otome game started during the 300th anniversary of the founding of the Kingdom Mist. The sixteen-year-old Choi Y/n was sent to Mist to attend their banquet on behalf of Eternity, and it is there that she fell in love with Kim Hongjoong at first sight.

To hell with it. Since you are here, there's no way you will follow the story of the Otome game.

Fuck the storyline. You are a respectable Princess with three older brothers willing to spoil you rotten for the rest of your life, so why would you steal Jiwon's love interests from her?

And what, suffering under a bunch of men who don't love you and beg for their love like a stray dog?

"I'll live the way I want~" You hummed, sitting up. Hooking your legs over the thick branch, you raised your hands, giggling as you fell backwards, hanging upside down in the air.

And you froze.

Under the tree, a young boy stood rooted to his spot, mirroring the stunned expression on your face. He wears a blue suit with a black beret on his red hair. He was also wearing black boots and had multiple piercings on his ears. He looked a little older than you. You blinked, staring at him.

Without a warning, you hear a snap from the branch you were hanging on. You quickly attempt to sit up, but the branch has already snapped. You close your eyes, your mouth distorted to a silent scream as you brace yourself for the impact-

Except that, you feel yourself landing on something soft. You hear a thud, then a soft groan below you, and you open your eyes.

"You..." The boy beneath you groaned, hissing in pain as you quickly got up from him. "I'm sorry!" You hurriedly got up from the boy and knelt on the grass beside him. The boy slowly sat up. "Ouch..."

"Thank you for saving me..." You said, scratching the back of your neck sheepishly. "Are you hurt anywhere?"

"I don't think so." The boy stared at you, his gaze so intense you swore you thought it burned a hole through you. "Who are you?"

You frowned. "Well, I am… I am the Princess's attendant!" You lied, tilting your head towards the side. "How about you?"

The boy grunted, standing up. "I don't want to tell you."

"Why not?" You followed him, eyes turning wide as the boy patted the grass off him. "I told you who I am, so you should tell me who you are, too!"

"I don't want to." The boy said coldly, and you frowned, crossing your arms. "Fine, Beret Boy."

"Beret boy?" The boy repeated, looking offended. You stuck your tongue out at him, pointing to his hat. "Yeah, since you refused to tell me who you are!"

The boy narrowed his eyes. "Sure, Ribbon Girl." He shot back as you reach up to touch the yellow ribbon on your hair. "You-!"

"Well, since you're lying, I can call you whatever I want to!" He argued as you scowled.

Come on, Y/n, you're an adult. He's a child. Don't be childish. Don't argue with a kid-

You took a deep breath, calming yourself down. "Fine, Beret Boy. But how did you come here? Don't you know that this is the Princess's Garden?"

"Well, if the self-proclaimed Princess's Attendant can skive off over here, why can't I, a noble guest, come in here?" The boy raised his chin haughtily. You couldn't help but roll your eyes at his words. "Well, I don't see anything noble about you except for that big ego!"

The boy flushed, a pink tinge spreading across his cheeks. "You are a rude little... little stupid bunny!" He pointed a finger at you as you put your hands on your hips, the annoyance rising in you. "Well, you are a proud and annoying... sh-squirrel!"

To hell with adults not fighting with kids; you're technically a kid yourself. The boy fumed, and he took a step towards you. You recoiled, moving backwards. "What are you doing? Boys should not hit girls!" You warned as he advanced further. "Hey! Don't come closer, or I'll bite you!"

"If you dare to bite me, I'll punish you!" Beret boy lunged at you as you screamed, his hands on your cheek. The both of you fell to the ground with him on top of you, pinching your cheeks. You screamed, your hands reaching up to pinch his cheeks, too. "Let go of me!"

"No!" "I said let go!" "I won't, you disrespectful brat!" "You're the brat here!" You opened your mouth and bit him on his shoulder, and the boy howled in pain, but his fingers were still on your cheeks. Desperate, you tried to pry his fingers off while screaming for help.

"Who is screaming?" You hear Yeonjun's voice shout, and your eyes light up. You glared at Beret Boy, warning him. "My big brother is here! I'll make him punish you for attacking me!"

"I'll make him punish you for biting me!" Beret Boy was not scared of your threats at all. With all your strength, you knocked your forehead forward, headbutting Beret Boy. He yelled in pain, falling backwards, his hand going to his forehead to cradle it. You took the chance and straddled him, forcing him to lie beneath you. Your fingers grabbed his cheek, stretching them as far as you could. "You stupid squirrel Beret Boy-"

"Y/N!" You looked up. Yeonjun and Soobin were hurrying towards you, along with two unfamiliar people behind him. You hurriedly got off Beret Boy, the tears in your eyes swelling as you hugged your second oldest brother. "Brother!" You sniffed as Soobin kneeled on one knee before you, catching you in his arms.

"Your Highness!" Someone rushed over to Beret Boy as you wailed in Soobin's arms. He was cooing over you, consoling you as tears rolled over your slightly red cheeks. You weren't aware of what was happening around you. All you could think of was complaining to Soobin about the pain in your cheeks. "He p-pinched me!" You sniffed, wailing loudly, as Soobin exchanged a look with Yeonjun. "It h-hurts!"

"You bit me!" You hear Beret Boy yell, but you bury your face in the crook of Soobin's neck, still crying. Soobin patted your back, his strong arms wrapped around you. "It's okay, Brother is here..."

"My apologies, Your Majesty." You sniffed as you heard Yeonjun talk to one of the unfamiliar people who had followed him and Soobin here. "My sister is a little... spoilt."

"No worries, Hongjoong should not have bullied a younger child, too." The woman said, and you froze in mid hiccup.

Wait a minute.

Who?

WHAT? WHOSE NAME DID SHE SAY?

You whipped around, eyes wide. Your eyes scanned the woman talking to Yeonjun, then the person who rushed over to Beret Boy, and then Beret Boy himself.

Then you see it.

Red hair, multiple piercings. A haughty and commanding expression.

ISN'T THIS A MINI VERSION OF ADULT KIM HONGJOONG?

Your eyes moved over to the boy next to him. Long, black hair. A black choker on his neck. Protective stance over Hongjoong.

PARK SEONGHWA?

Kim Hongjoong groaned as he massaged his forehead, his eyes on you. You look a little funny now, with the tears on your eyelashes and slightly swollen cheeks.

He couldn't help but let out a small chuckle.

You look more like a stupid bunny now.

Meanwhile, you were stunned. Flashes of you playing the game flashed past in front of your eyes, and you couldn't help but feel worse. Technically, Hongjoong is the reason why you transmigrated. If he had not killed your character and let you win the game, you would not have been so irritated that you cursed at the creator. If you had not cursed at the creator, you would never enter the game-

"Y/n? Are you okay?" You feel Soobin's calloused fingers wipe your tears off your cheek, and you turn your attention to him. "Do you know Beomgyu is looking everywhere for you?" Soobin chided as you hiccuped again. "I'm sorry, Brother..."

"And this must be Princess Y/n." You hear the woman speaking to Yeonjun call your name, and you turn to her. She was tall, wearing an expensive yellow silk dress and ruby accessories. She looked very similar to Hongjoong, her stance elegant and aura kind. "What an honour to meet the Star of Eternity."

You pulled away from Soobin, wiping your tears as you curtsied. "Greetings to the Queen of Mist. May peace be ever in your grace."

The Queen of Mist raised a brow. "How did you know that I am the Queen of Mist?"

"Just like Eternity is known for amethyst, Mist is also known for its rubies, your Majesty." You replied, your voice slightly gaining confidence. The Queen of Mist smiled kindly at you as Seonghwa and Hongjoong walked over. "You are right, Princess."

"Greetings to the Star of Eternity. May peace be ever in your grace." Hongjoong put a hand in front of his chest and bowed. You glared at him, not forgetting the fight between the both of you just five minutes ago. Soobin nudged you gently, reminding you. "Greetings to the Prince of Mist. May peace be ever in your grace." You said through gritted teeth, cursing inwardly at him as you curtsied.

Seonghwa bowed his head behind Hongjoong, echoing his greeting. You acknowledge him with a nod, not meeting his eyes as Hongjoong gives you a smug look. Your gaze landed on his shoulder, and you smirked, knowing that he probably had the marks of your teeth on it.

Choi Y/n, 1. Kim Hongjoong, 0.

"Your Majesty the Crown Prince." Hongjoong addressed Yeonjun. "I saved your sister from falling off a tree, but she repaid my kindness with a bite on the shoulder. As well as a bump on my forehead."

Your smirk disappeared, and you glared at Hongjoong. Tattle tale!

It's Hongjoong's turn to smirk. Kim Hongjoong, 1. Choi Y/n, 1.

Yeonjun bowed to the young prince in apology. "My apologies again, your Highness. Y/n!" Yeonjun's voice was stern. You begrudgingly trudged over to him, knowing what Yeonjun wanted. "I apologise to you, Prince Hongjoong, " a familiar smug expression appeared on his face. You fought the urge to throw a fist in his direction as you continued unwillingly. "For biting you."

"And pinching me after I saved you."

"And pinching you after you saved me." You added.

"And being rude to me."

"And being rude to you." If looks can kill, Hongjoong would have been burning in hell over a hundred times. You feel Soobin pat your head in encouragement, and you puff your cheeks out, turning your head away.

"I apologise for pinching you too." To your surprise, Hongjoong bowed low. You looked at him in surprise as he put his hand across his arm. "I should not have teased you earlier on."

His voice filled with sincerity, but why do you think he was lying?

Seonghwa scanned the famous Princess of Eternity. In Mist, he had heard of how spoilt and rotten the Princess was. However, now that the Princess is standing right before him-

You are spoiled, yes. Rotten? Not necessarily.

"I accept your apologies." Seonghwa stared at you, noting how soft and sweet your voice was. You were still glaring at Hongjoong, your big doe eyes teary as you puffed your cheeks out.

Cute. Seonghwa thought of how Hongjoong called you a bunny, and Seonghwa agreed.

You are a cute, teary bunny.

Where did the 'rotten' come from?

Seonghwa hadn't missed the small chuckle from Hongjoong earlier on. He was a little surprised, to be honest. Even though they were the same age, Seonghwa felt that Hongjoong seemed more meticulous than children his age were supposed to be. The only time he had sincerely smiled or laughed was in front of Prince Wooyoung, his half-brother.

And in front of you.

The corner Seonghwa's lips curled. This summer would be more interesting than he had expected it to be.

Yeonjun - 15 years old, Soobin - 14 years old, Beomgyu - 13 years old.

MATZ - 12 years old, 99z + Y/n - 11 years old, Jongho - 10 years old.

To be honest, I feel that Y/n is a little too stupid. So if you don't like her now, it is understandable. She'll grow along the way.

RWBY Fanfic Recommendation List

Fics that have really struck me, vaguely organized by ship and/or topic.

Bumbleby (Blake x Yang)

first off, basically anything by pugoata. She's the goddess-empress of the Bees. I'm gonna give particular props to Banshee, as it was the first longer fic and AU that I read, and it really opened up my mind to what fanfic could be.

You're a Mountain, Full of Glory - a ski/snowboard with amazing characterization and a closing scene that will live rent-free in my head forever, in a good way.

They Can't Steal the Love You're Born to Find - childhood soulmates repeatedly torn apart and reconnecting, with courtroom drama. One of the most angst-ridden Bee fics I've ever read.

Fucking In Love - pornstar AU that gets right to the sex and slow burns the romance. Hot as hell while also full of tenderness and pining.

Midnight Menagerie - exotic dancer, kinda-cyberpunk dystopia AU. Edges you forever with the sex, earns all the angst tags, and we are majorly trusting @kaelidascope when she promises an amazing happy ending.

Bite Me Like You Love Me - one of the hottest Bee smutfics I've ever read.

You and Me - Blake discovers she's pregnant the day Yang goes MIA on a mission and struggles through being a single mother teaching their child about her amazing other mom. Short, happy ending, amazingly sweet.

WhiteRose (Ruby x Weiss)

The Foxtrot - Ruby and Weiss repair their broken lives after the war. It's one of the most popular RWBY fics of all time for a reason.

Can You See My Strings?/Deja Vu - premium mentally ill Weiss escapes from child abuse angst, with a happy ending if you read the sequel.

But Your Voice Used to Be Mine - Weiss escapes abuse to join RBY's punk band whose smash hit she inspired.

Just One Cigarette - Ruby and Weiss have a little meetup roleplay and it's really good.

Faunus Weiss (generally major themes of struggling with internal and external racism)

Craving the Sky - Weiss has painfully concealed her faunus heritage while she tries to earn her father's love. The support of her team, and the love of Blake and Yang (BeesSchnees) help her soar on her own.

Black Swan Theory - faunus Weiss struggles to recover from child abuse and navigate a deeply racist society while building a relationship with Pyrrha (Schneekos).

Clipped Wings - secret faunus Weiss, dealing with racism and abuse from Jacques, this time slow burning towards Pollination.

Villainesses

Melting Glace - Cinder and Neo find love, and no redemption, in the trauma of failing to destroy Beacon. Will make you cheer for them to win by the end.

Rise from the Ashes - Cinder has a Vader moment and saves Ruby from Salem, and Ruby's pure heart helps her heal, and their adversarial relationship turn to affection. Peak RWBY enemies-to-lovers.

Odds & Ends

The Bermuda Triangle - great modern AU BeesSchnees that gets filthy hot at the end.

Midnight Rose - Summer rescues and adopts Cinder out of Atlas. Their relationship, and Cinder coming to love the Xiao Long-Rose family, is beautifully depicted. Still very much ongoing (no ships as of yet).

Fallen Maiden - Jaune dies protecting Pyrrha at Beacon, and the Fall Maiden power remains split. Will Pyrrha's bloody crusade of vengeance consume her? Or, 'Pyrrha goes full Magneto and fucks Cinder up'.

What's In A Name? - Winter and May grow up together, struggling to cope with their feelings for each other against the background of the Atlas aristocracy.

Linked In Life and Love - I'd be remiss if I didn't mention this one. I really, really love the first act, where Team RWBY sees Blake suffering terribly through a surprise heat cycle and decides that they will all "help" her with it. It's sweet and tender and feels legit for them. I'm not a huge fan of where all the series has gone since, but I would invite anyone to judge that for themselves.

(As I see this getting a decent amount of traffic, I'll just point out that, if it's convinced you [correctly] of my impeccable taste in fanfic, you might want to check out my own RWBY writings)

Winter Anime Review by Yours Truly 🍄🌻

This season I said I would not watch anything besides dunmeshi. As we can all see... that was a fucking lie.

In total I've started 10 anime (can everyone praise me and be proud of me for being a bit more tame than I was in the fall season? At least it wasn't 20 anime this time).

My reviews are something I make just for fun, and they 100% reflect my own personal tastes. I might give a highscore to shows other people would call absolute trash, and that's okay! To each their own~~ That being said, I do try to make it very informative to aid you in choosing what you might want to check out by adding a summary and a few content warnings along with the actual review.

A little preview: this season has some great romance anime with couples that actually do make progress in their relationship, which is kind of rare for anime couples, always on their "will they wont they" thing, so if anything, i would recommend picking up one of the romances this time around. (And dunmeshi. Watch dunmeshi.)

***This review will include exclusively animes that debuted this winter, so no 2nd seasons or continuing shows from the fall season.

So, without further ado, let's get into it under the read more.

Dungeon Meshi

Summary: Seinen, Fantasy, Gourmet, Comedy

A party of adventurers gets stuck fighting a Dragon even though they are starving and in no shape to survive. In a last ditch effort to make it out alive, mage Falin sacrifices herself to save her brother Laios and their party. She sends them back to the surface but gets eaten by the Dragon. Now Laios and co are in a race against time to save Falin before she gets digested. The problem? They don't have any money for food. The solution? DUNGEON MESHI!!! AH, DUNGEON MESHI!! DUNGEON FOOD!! JUST EAT THE GODDAMN MONSTERS 😋

Rating: 10/10

Review: if you've been following me for 2 seconds or less you already know dunmeshi is one of my all time favorite mangas. And the anime absolutely delivers. The animation is great, the voice acting is great both subbed or dubbed (the english dub AND the portuguese dub are worth it). The comedic bits hit so hard, and we're just at the start but you can already see bits and pieces of a larger and more dramatic story unfolding.

World building is insane. Character design is insane (everyone say thank you Ryoko Kui our goddess).

Not only is the story incredibly well written with no plot holes, the characters are also well fleshed out and three dimensional.

I could sing praises for it for hours, but then it would leave no space for the other shows on this list so I'll stop now.

But if you only have time to watch one anime this season, this one is it.

7th Timeloop: the Villainess Enjoys a Carefree Life Married to Her Worst Enemy

Summary: Reincarnation, Fantasy, Romance

Rishe is not new to the reincarnation business. This is her 7th time around. After being accused of crimes she didn't commit and having her engagement to the crown prince broken off in her 1st life she went on to discover that life is full of possibilities and adventures. But, after 5 years, she died. Only to find herself back at the moment the crown prince broke off their engagement. With each life she explores new countries and new possibilities, but in every life, after 5 years, she is caught up in the war waged by emperor Arnold Hein, and is killed. In her 6th life she dies directly by Arnold's blade and in a turn of fate she runs into him in her 7th life, catching his attention, and maybe his heart? Can she prevent her death this time around and finally live a peaceful life?

Rating: 10/10

Review: ah, we all knew the otome reincarnation was coming. This shit is my life source. That being said, even if it wasn't, I would still probably really love 7th Time Loop. It's just that good.

Rishe is a great main character, in all her past lives she was on The Grind. From being a merchant, to a doctor, to a maid, to a royal guard. And now she tells herself she just wants to chill, but this girl simply cannot chill. She is playing mind games with Arnold, trying to figure out what he is planning and how to stop the war from breaking out.

Meanwhile, Arnold is head over heels in love and probably so so full of trauma we still don't know yet. We must protect this dude. I'm very excited to find out more and more about him and what exactly led him to start a war against the world.

The animation is gorgeous, I love the way the eyes are drawn like constellations.

The romance is great and developing at a very nice pace, Arnold is very respectful of Rishe's boundaries for their marriage and overall just a really great guy.

Cherry Magic! Thirty Years of Virginity Can Make You a Wizard?!

Summary: Boys Love, Adult Cast, Workplace, Supernatural, Comedy

Office worker Kiyoshi Adachi has gone 30 years of life without ever having his cherry popped. Due to this profound accomplishment, he gains the ability to read minds through physical contact. However, this new skill has only made his life harder and he now hates crowded spaces.

On the way to work, Adachi runs into his colleague Kurosawa, curious about what an outgoing guy like him thinks about, Adachi touches him and finds out that Kurosawa has a crush on someone from their office, looking further he realizes Kurosawa is actually crushing on him.

Rating: 10/10

Review: first of all, if you say "romance + adult cast" you already have my full attention. Add mind reading to the mix to make sure that the main character doesn't have miscommunication problems and i'm at the fucking table eating it up.

This show is incredibly funny, Kurosawa's thoughts about Adachi are always so sweet and/or horny and obsessed, but he is still just a super great guy with great morals and he would never do anything Adachi doesn't want (much to Adachi's surprise because he thought the dude was going to jump him anytime with how badly in love his thoughts are).

Adachi is straight until proven otherwise, and Kurosawa proves otherwise really fast. The pace of their romance is really great, we dont get ten thousand episodes of "will they wont they" and I really appreciate that.

Villainess Level 99: I May Be the Hidden Boss but I'm Not the Demon Lord

Summary: Otome Isekai, Fantasy, School

Yumiella Dolkness is a girl with dark hair and dark magic (characteristics associated with the Demon Lord) and for that she is feared.

When Yumiella was 5 years old she regained memories of her past life in modern Japan, and the game she used to play: Light Magic and the Hero. In it, Yumiella was the secret boss you had to defeat after the Demon Lord. Determined to avoid this fate she applies gamer logic to her life and begins adventuring in dungeons to max her power levels.

Now, 15 year old Yumiella is going to school, where she will meet the true hero of the game. She wants to avoid calling attention and just go through her school years without trouble. But when their power levels are measured in the first day of school, she is measured as a level 99 dark magic user and now even the king and queen have their eyes on her.

Rating: 10/10

Review: you gotta trust me on this one and get through the first ten minutes, I promise it gets so much better after Yumiella is really introduced. They just had to spend a few minutes doing a gag introduction, where you follow the game's hero before you find our beloved villainess. And it was very cool how the opening resemble a dating sim game opening.

Yumiella is great, one of my favorite female leads this season, and that is including frieren and maomao from the fall season animes that are still airing. She is not very aware of all the social cues and has trouble communicating and making friends, but we get to see her inner thoughts and they're always hilarious.

My favorite gag is that dark magic can be used for healing, but the healing process looks fucking grotesque so people would rather not be healed by Yumiella. For some reason that always gets me.

I really fucking hate the 4 hero characters, they're super annoying, but in a "i love to hate them" way, and I love seeing yumiella wipe the floor with their asses without even trying because she is just that overpowered. Most of the anime is just her trying to use just a tiny bit of her power because if she uses her full power people would just straight up die with a simple punch.

Yubisaki to Renren

Summary: ✨️Shoujo✨️, Adult Cast, Romance

(Summary stolen from myanimelist, sorry) Yuki Itose is a hearing-impaired university student whose world has been shrouded with silence since birth. She has lived in the same place her whole life, and rarely interacts with others save for her best friend, Rin Fujishiro. During her commute one day, she meets the silver-haired and multilingual Itsuomi Nagi, a mutual friend of Rin. Unlike most, Itsuomi is unwavering when he learns of Yuki's impairment; this, along with his experiences abroad, fascinates and touches her. After they part, her fondness of him starts to grow. A new world begins to open for both Yuki and Itsuomi as they learn about each other's different lives.

Review: and here we have The Shoujo Of The Season. And it occupies that spot marvelously.

Yuki and Itsuomi are another one of the incredible couples of the winter season. Relationship developing at a very nice pace that isn't too fast and not too slow (like shoujo can be sometimes). Yuki is very inspired by Itsuomi, she wants to see the world and experience new things now that she got a glimpse into his life and realized how big the world is.

I specially love how cool, calm and collected Itsuomi always acts, but how his cousin, Kyouya, lets us know that Itsuomi is really interested in Yuki and just shows it in different ways, like the way his voice gets very affectionate towards her.

The animation!!!!! Wow!!!! So soft!!! So warm!!!! I love it!!!! I'm sure you'll love it too!!!

Sound design is also very good, it's specially interesting during scenes where we cant hear anything because we are on Yuki's point of view. I wish it happened even more often.

I've seen people compare this show with Koe no Katachi but they're very different shows, specially since we get to see most of this one through Yuki's point of view, while Koe no Katachi was not from the POV of the hearing-impaired character and dealt a lot more with issues like bullying and suicide. Yubisaki to Renren is a lot more light-hearted, soft, sweet and overall just a feel good anime.

I am always going to recommend shoujo. Specially when they're as good as this one is. So definitely check this one out.

The Foolish Angel Dances with the Devil

Summary: Seinen, Romance, Comedy, Supernatural

The angels and the devils are waging a war. Things are not looking so good on the devils' side, so they send Akutsu Masatora on a journey to the human world, to find someone that can aid the demons on their fight.

Akutsu is assigned a seat next to Lily Amane, the cutest girl in class. But when he tries to recruit her to the devil's side he realizes she is not a normal human. Now he must deal with the fact that he is tied to his mortal enemy, an angel, and with the fact that he might be falling in love.

Rating: 10/10

Review: More like,, the foolish devil gets played by the angel.

Akutsu and Lily get into stupid mind games trying to make the other fall in love, all while realizing that "hey, angels/devils arent so bad after all" as they spend more and more time together.

It reminds me just a bit of Kaguya-sama how the main couple wants the other to cave first.

This show is simply hilarious, I was laughing out loud at so many stupid scenes. Some gags do get old a bit fast, but overall it's still going strong and makes up for where it falls short with how badly in love these two already are just a few episodes in.

I'm not sure we'll get a proper confession this season, but it doesnt look like these two will be stuck forever in the "will they wont they" stage like the couple from kaguya-sama.

CW: there is a scene by the end of episode one that is completely played as a joke that has one of the lead characters putting a collar on the other lead and the imagery was a bit disturbing, definitely leaning on non con bdsm themes, it isnt terrible, just felt a bit distasteful to me, but nothing big, i dont think it should deter you from watching this, but watch out for that.

Solo Leveling

Summary: Action, Fantasy

(Synopsis stolen from myanimelist again) Ten years ago, "the Gate" appeared and connected the real world with the realm of magic and monsters. To combat these vile beasts, ordinary people received superhuman powers and became known as "Hunters." Twenty-year-old Sung Jin-Woo is one such Hunter, but he is known as the "World's Weakest," owing to his pathetic power compared to even a measly E-Rank. Still, he hunts monsters tirelessly in low-rank Gates to pay for his mother's medical bills.

However, this miserable lifestyle changes when Jin-Woo—believing himself to be the only one left to die in a mission gone terribly wrong—awakens in a hospital three days later to find a mysterious screen floating in front of him. This "Quest Log" demands that Jin-Woo completes an unrealistic and intense training program, or face an appropriate penalty. Initially reluctant to comply because of the quest's rigor, Jin-Woo soon finds that it may just transform him into one of the world's most fearsome Hunters.

Rating: 8/10

Review: everyday that passes I find myself liking battle shounen less and less. This one is not bad, it is actually quite interesting, it's just not the type of stuff i'm into anymore, I guess.

That being said, if you're in the mood for it, this one if very interesting. Jin woo's life is now completely ruled by this game that allows him to level up, and he is getting a bit fucked in the head by it.

Animation is great, I love when his eyes get all shiny because you know he's gone Beast Mode.

Not a lot of characters introduced so far, but it's still cool to see Jin Woo leveling up on his own. I mean... a show named solo leveling has got to make sure that the solo aspect isnt boring lol.

For some reason tho I still gave it an 8, which is high, so... it's pretty good.

Jin woo is just a bit... generic i guess. Nothing you havent seen before from an isekai male lead.

Also... i miss his haircut from the earlier episodes, his current haircut makes him look even more generic.

CW: blood and gore, body horror, torture, death games. Big and scary god statue that smiles in a fucked up way and kills kills kills.

Animes I either already dropped for a specific reason or will probably drop in the future simply because I wont have time to watch everything I started this season, so among the 10 I started, these are the ones i'm least likely to finish:

Majo do Yajuu

Summary: Seinen, Action, Fantasy

Guideau and Ashaf are an ominous pair, working for a mysterious organization that deals with magic crimes. Guideau is a feral and unhinged girl/genderless beast with a curse she wants to break and Ashaf is her soft spoken and calm companion. They go from town to town looking for witches to defeat and trying to find the witch who cursed Guideau and get their revenge.

Rating: 7/10

Review: I do like this one, I just think that if it comes to it and I dont have time, I wont miss it too much if I never finish it.

The blood and gore are heavy, and that might be the reason why i'm fine dropping it, i'm not that big of a fan of gore.

Other than that tho, I find the two main characters extremely interesting and i want to learn more about them, specially Guideau and her curse and that crazy beast mode she goes on when she manages to put a pause on her curse sometimes.

Gekai Elise

Summary: Reincarnation/Otome Isekai, Fantasy, Medical, Romance

But a tragic airplane crash robs her of her dreams too soon.

By a miracle, Elise wakes up in her original body before her official engagement to Linden. Recognizing the chance to cherish her loving family and free Linden from an unwanted marriage, Elise wishes to use her advanced medical knowledge to continue down the path of saving lives. In a deal with the emperor, Elise is given only six months to prove that her true place is not on the throne, but rather with the wounded and ailing who desperately need her help.

Rating: 6/10

Review: I'd like to say I dropped this show for personal reasons, not because it is a bad show.

It is definitely not the best otome isekai of the season (7th time loop and Villainess 99 win by a mile), but it is quite good and has an interesting premise. The main couple didn't seem too promising or interesting to me tbh.

The thing that interested me the most was the fact that Elise's original life was as a noblewoman, her second life was as a doctor and then he got a chance to relive her first life and change the mistakes she made.

Unfortunately, I am a med student, and I simply can't watch medical related stuff without nitpicking it to hell and back. Mostly, I try to distance myself from medicine related shows because my life already revolves around it too much, u know. I just need a break from All That when I'm watching my silly little shows, so... i had to drop this one.

Also, the main character was kind of annoying, but that might just be me.

Anyway, check this out if you think it sounds interesting. I might not be the best judge of this one.

Gushing Over Magical Girls

Oh boy...

I'm putting the CW before anything else because this one is problematic and I don't want anyone acting like I didn't warn them beforehand.

CW: this is straight up softcore porn and the characters are all middle/highschool aged. The anime revolves around BDSM themes (so many and increasingly worse themes, from simple bondage to pain play, to age play and other stuff), and there is nothing more than that to it, all the character growth is about the characters becoming more and more uninhibited with their sexual preferences. Also extremely dubious consent for all of it.

This is just a hentai disguising as an ecchi. It's fully yuri tho. Small blessings lol.

Summary: Mahou Shoujo, Girls Love, Ecchi, Comedy

I'm tired already so this will be short. Utena is a girl obsessed with magical girls. One day she gets the chance to become a magical girl herself, however, she is fooled and actually becomes a villain. She is made to fight Tres Magia (magical girl group) and ends up realizing she quite enjoys inflicting pain against them.

Review: the animation is good, very clean, the boob physics is not all that bad (what. this is an honest review and the anime is an ecchi. i gotta talk abt the boob physics.)

It is indeed super funny and definitely unhinged.

Plot wise, it is pretty straightforward, girl likes magical girls -> girl finds out she likes to watch magical girls suffering and in pain and moaning (well, not only watch, she does a lot of touching too)

Do I recommend it? No. Am I having fun watching it? Yes, it is pretty funny if you're the type of person who can ignore A Lot of things.

I'll probably favor the other animes tho so this one is very likely to get dropped before the season is through.

Royal Reverse Harem, Gojo/Reader

#1 Continuation of the Royal Reverse Harem series! This'll be a mini series, just with interesting scenarios with JJK. <3 Warnings: Obsessive Gojo, mean gojo, toji/reader & gojo/reader.

When you'd first transferred into the novel, you were in a state of shock. The fancy bedroom, the beautiful decor, the utter amount of respect you were given, and the overly expensive food was awesome. Reality didn't really hit you until after a week or so.

You felt so stupid, you had wasted a week doing pretty much nothing except enjoy your new lifestyle. Sure the maids, butlers, and EVERYONE seemed terrified of you but all you really thought about was being nice to change their opinions.

Your idea of "I'll just be good and live my life happily watching my favorite characters" came completely crashing down when Gojo decided to pay you a visit. By now, thankfully you already set in motion your plan to change public opinion but Satoru had other ideas.

Satoru was stunning, a majestic being. He looked like an angel who had been sent from the heavens, sculpted by the gods themselves. His soft white hair and striking blue eyes, and oh goodness, his soft lips. It was a little embarrassing, how much you admired him.

When you first saw him, there was no doubt in your heart why the villainess loved him so much. Satoru was fascinating, not just in his standing but his mere presence demanded respect. You felt the air leave your lungs as you sat at the dinner table.

It was quiet for awhile, which made you feel awkward as Satoru himself was the one who requested your attendance. However, what you didn't know was that Gojo was just as confused with your silence. Normally you'd be speaking to him, in your confident haughty mannerisms.

He couldn't quite understand what was different today, you seemed, nervous? He didn't know, but what he did know was that at the moment he was fed up with your schemes. It was just too bad, he didn't know you weren't the actual villainess!!

"I don't understand why you're so silent, especially when you of all people should know why I'm here," he stated. Oh, now you were panicking, because you honestly had no idea what he was talking about!!

Silence seemed the best choice but this had only angered Satoru more. As the night progressed he had begun shouting at you, violently clattering plates to the floor, and commanding you to simply stay away from him.

It was a traumatizing experience, safe to say, after that Gojo Satoru did not look the same to you. Now whenever he was near you, whether it be just passing by or due to political, social, or marital reasons you tended to shift away whenever possible. Even when you were pressured by your family, which sucked, Gojo wasn't interested anyway so you snuck away most times.

In the end, you decided on a divorce, it was also the best step to ensure you stayed alive, which you asked for two weeks later after your dinner session with him. Satoru, although surprised by your request had asked whether this was a tactic to gain his favor.

"No, I truly want this divorce," you responded quietly, eyes not being able to meet his as you glanced everywhere but forward. You didn't know what to say to him anymore, it was not longer a feeling of awe and captivation anymore with him. Now, you simply wanted to be as far away from him as possible too.

Gojo on the other hand was delighted, had quickly signed the papers, and had pressured his father, the emperor, to confirm it a week later. Everyone was caught off guard by the sudden divorce, and word spread like wildfire.

Can you believe that the crown prince and, well, previous-to-be princess divorced? , I saw it coming from a mile away! That witch would've ruined this empire. , What does this mean, could it be that the rumor of the crown prince having a secret lover is true? Who is it? , Oh, I feel so sad for poor (y/n), she really is a kind woman, have you even spoken to her before?

The last statement made you proud when you heard of it from your lady-in-waitings. At the very least, public opinion had changed for you to some extent. You intended for it to continue turning positive for the better. Now that you stayed with your parents, maybe things wouldn't be so bad.

What you didn't realize was that after 3 months of divorce Gojo was beginning to rethink his choices. Firstly, he was annoyed because despite the divorce being official his father still pestered him on the daily. The truth was evident, the emperor did not approve of a commoner becoming the future empress (that said commoner, the female lead).

The emperor only agreed on this divorce because Gojo did make some sense, and, he didn't want to lose the support of one of the highest nobles in his empire. That being said, he either now expected Satoru to find another noble lady (many available) or crawl back to you (honestly emperor has given up on trying to be civil).

Due to these factors, Satoru has still be thinking of you. However, he wasn't that interested until just about the 2nd month after your divorce with him. See, the reason was that he had eyes on you anyway, his spies in your estate told him anything they deemed necessary. What were you going to do? Go after the female lead again?

It was all too predictable, which was why when Satoru's father yelled at him for not doing anything he was confused. "What is it now father?" he responded, irritated. "YOU FOOL. (Y/N)'S ALREADY COURTING OTHERS, THE ZENIN, SOUND FAMILIAR? Oh.. you're a lost cause now..." his father had responded, tired and exhausted of his son.

That was when Gojo was informed by his spies, that you, in fact, had been in much contact with Toji much recently. Then, when Gojo asked why his men hadn't reported anything, they stated that they had mentioned it once already but nothing important seemed to come up other than you both being acquaintances. Plus, the rumor was everywhere anyway, they'd assumed he'd heard.

Now, Satoru began to watch you more intensively, peaked even higher when at a social party just 2 days later, you were dancing with Toji. Both of you so friendly, even Gojo was dumbfounded as to how. Didn't Toji not like you?

After Toji, there was Geto, Gojo's best friend turned into one of the Empire's sole enemies. A true tragedy that was, and yet, you were spotted with him as part of reports following his activity! Which occurred to everyone considered an enemy of the empire, but you? What were you doing with him?

Then there was the flirting with Choso, and your newfound friendship with Yuki. You were on a roll of drama, being front and center on stage whilst promoting good deals which pleased all classes on the social hierarchy. Gojo was at a loss and at the same time, thrilled? No, maybe jealous, not of you but those associated with you.

He hadn't seen you like that before, you looked genuinely happy now. You were having fun at social gatherings, not having a care in the world. Despite your obvious scandalous behavior, you were no longer committing acts of evil and, no longer glancing at him. Which didn't feel right!!

Gojo Satoru hated to admit it, but if this was another one of your games it was definitely working. Only a couple months after separation, and he was watching your every move. Even beginning to reconsider his choices, thinking how the female lead wasn't as interesting anymore to him.

Sadly, it was a bit too late now but Gojo has decided, he wants to win back your favor. A crown prince, a noble lady previously wed to him, what could potentially go wrong?

A perfect happy ending isn't good enough!!! This villainess wants revenge and she will get it, no matter what the cost. This one is very fast paced, as the villainess has less than a week before her time is up.

Alexandra is a proud Ducal daughter, engaged to a handsome Crown Prince. In this world politics matters, even though it is an otome game. Alfonso will lose everything if he marries Lucia, his low-ranking lover, but he doesn’t know that yet. Lucia is a reincarnator obsessed with the otome world. She wants to give everyone love, so she maxes out everyone. She renders the kings aide, and all of her friends, down into happy lovestruck fools.

Alfonso has no idea that he is just one member of her collection. He will not have her full affection, or his Crown Prince position, when he chooses her.

Alexandra receives an oracle of sorts. Memories from a woman who played the game. Lucia's love is going to destroy the country. Many people will die, or live their lives depressed, obsessing over Lucia forever. The perfect otome game heroine is a rather toxic existence.

Lucia even wants to be friends with Alexandra. That is the true happy ending. All of Lucia's favorite characters, worshipping her all at once.

Alexandra refuses to accept her happy ending with Lucia.

She has been betrayed by her fiance, in favor of a vixen who isn't even loyal to him. She vows to destroy her idiot fiance, and the woman he's cheating on her with.

Um...by the way this gets kinda intense.

Lucia totally treats the "characters" like toys. She's sleeping with Alfonso, and a bunch of the other characters.

Alexandra realizes that her path is the right one. The family butler betrayed them. He is loyal to Lucia. He leaked family secrets for Lucia, and because his affection is maxed out he's unstable. Willing to attack, defame, and harm his own mistress.

Viviana, Alexandra's sister, soon learns the truth. She's Lucia's close friend. She's been harassing Alexandra for her friends sake

...but then Alexandra drops a bomb.

She says she will dissolve the engagement.

Then Viviana can give Alfonso a legitimate heir, while he lavishes his love on Lucia.

Viviana finally realizes how humiliating Alexandra's position is.

She realizes that bearing a son for friendships sake is way too much.

Alfonso won't be able to keep the Crown Prince title without a proper noble womb though...

Viviana finally realizes that Lucia's love has messed with the royal succession, which will result in lost lives.

The characters all love Lucia too much. They are drunk on her love. This guy believes he can be forgiven for anything as long as an angel like Lucia "loves" him.

(His company sells women to pleasure houses)

Alexandra forces him out of the picture, leaving Lucia with one less insane pawn.

Lucia knows everything. She reincarnated. She is no longer Lucia. She behaves like a player controlling Lucia. She is greedy but she still wants her favorites to be happy.

She gushes about her happy harem ending with a mystery character.

It is heavily implied that this mystery character is going to kidnap Lucia after Alexandra wins.

It's kinda sweet.

The one character Lucia is honest with truly loves her, in all of her selfish glory.

Theodore is a sexy, pathetic, conniving yandere side character. He is also Lucia's teacher. He is confronted about his love for a student, after Alexandra leaks the information to certain trusted friends. Said friends are smart enough to manipulate Theodore. They tell him he can have Lucia, if he doesn't show up for Alexandra's divorce event.

Theodore is a total freak who sees Lucia as a mother figure, so he agrees.

Alexandra arrests the secret assassin character, Elia. Elia is crazy strong, but he's no match for twenty men. He goes to prison screaming for Lucia. He's dangerous. Obsessed too. There's a high chance that Alexandra still dies in the happy harem ending. Why? Well, because Elias hates to see obstacles around Lucia. He likes to poison women and kill men who get in her way.

So Alexandra gets rid of him before the dramatic reveal can even begin.

The royal family is embarrassed by Alfonso's behavior. The happy harem ending makes all of the MAIN characters happy. The side characters seem to think the otome game cast has gone insane. If only greedy Lucia had chosen the Alfonso route. If she had chosen to be loyal to one character...the royal family would have bent the rules for her.

Now all of the side characters know Lucia is a vixen who controls powerful men.

The King takes away Alfonso's seat as successor. He knows Alf-idiot has been cheating, and behaving irresponsibly.

Prince Gerald becomes heir, and he wants Alexandra. His long crush is finally over, and he can finally have the bride he has dreamed of since childhood.

Alexandra tries to scare him away, but it doesn't work. Gerald vows to become stronger. He is willing to give up anything and be anything to be with Alexandra. She had no idea he was so passionate. Her constant shock at his flirting is a running gag.

He is conflicted for a bit, but his resolve is crazy clear.

He will humiliate and dethrone anyone in order to marry Alexandra.

There's a wide variety of yanderes here. Unsavory ones, mysterious ones, and noble romantics all at once. The fast pace is nice too.
