"Powers?" Pt 2 Dad!Tony stark x daughter!reader

Summary: you find out you have powers.

Bruce stuck the needle through the arm that was affected by the liquid, bruce took a blood sample to study, to make sure you were okay. He took another sample from the other arm, as he was looking at it under a microscope, he noticed something different.

He saw that the blood from your affected arm looked different from the blood on your other arm, he saw small, iddy bitty blue specks, it looked just like the liquid, he wasn't surprised because it had clearly entered your blood stream, he also noticed that your white blood cells had been activated, that hadn't surprised him either, but what did surprise him was the fact that it was merging with your blood cells, that definitely wasn't normal.

"Hey tony, come look at this" bruce said to tony, clearly confused

"Look, this is the blood from y/n's unaffected arm, and this" bruce paused to switch the microscopes out

"Is the blood from her other arm."

"The hell?" Tony whispered, "what seems to be the liquid is merging with her red blood cells" bruce explained to tony who had his eyebrows scrunched in confusion

"It shouldn't be doing that" tony said standing back up, "I'll go check on her." Tony said before walking out of the room, he was worried, scared, and confused, he didn't want anything to happen to you, you were his baby girl, only 12 years old, he wouldn't let anything or anyone hurt you.

Tony walked in, and came to sit down next to you, trying to hide his nerves. You set your book down on your lap, waiting for him to speak

"Hey hun, how you feeling?" Tony asked hoping you didn't say anything that could put you in danger, or anything to do with your arm

"Yeah im fine, but my arm feels kinda funny" you said lifting your arm up slightly, tony let out a shuddered breath, though he tried to hide it, you caught on quickly

"Whats wrong dad?" you asked starting to feel nervous, then you reached for your dads hand, that's when he broke,

"So you know how you were exposed to that blue stuff"

Nodding, you urged him to continue

"So it has entered your blood stream, and is merging with your red blood cells" you looked at tony with wide eyes, slightly starting to panic, thats when bruce walked in, taking off his plastic gloves,

Upon seeing you looking quite spooked he quickly realized that tony had already told you. "Your gonna be fine kid, dont worry"

NEXT DAY

The last few days tony was very stressed, despite bruces attempts to calm tony, it never worked 🫥

"Hey uh bruce-"

"If this is about y/n again shes going to be fine" bruce responded in a flat tone. Tony went to check on you but you were napping, so he went to the couch, where he had tons of flashbacks to the day this all this started, how scared he was, how scared he still was, so he went to his bedroom, his bedroom was yalls safe spot, kind of the only place you two could have some father-daughter time without someone interrupting,

bruce said you could leave the medbey today given that the only thing stopping you was that you couldn't really get up. Like when your sick, how you don't feel the strength to get up, it had nothing to do with your arm or your blood, you just sat there for so long, that you didn't feel like you had the strength, but you did.

When you woke up you went back to reading, bruce walked in at one point, and you asked the question,

"Bruce"

"Yeah"

"Can i come out of the medbey now?" You asked twirling your fingers together, bruce just smiled, took out your IV, and any other wires you were hooked up to, and helped you up, you did a few laps around the room to get used to walking again, then walked out, you were still wearing the same clothes, so you went to your room to change.

After putting on fresh clothes you walked into the kitchen for a snack, where greeted by steve, nat, and thor all making lunch, while Thor was digging in the cabinets looking for pop tarts, nat was making a pb&j and Steve was reheating a taco.

"Hey guys" they all looked up at you, hugs all around, "you guys know where my dad is?" (Flashbacks anyone?)

"In his room I think" Steve replied and you were already bolting off to find him, knowing he'd be happy to see you were up,

"Damn she's running already" nat said with a small smile on her face

You knocked on your fathers door tony sighed thinking it was someone coming to comfort him, yes he was great full that they did this but it just became annoying,

"Look if your here to-" tony pausing upon seeing you in his doorway.

You went to school the next day glad to be back, yes it's school but at least it wasn't the medbey. 🤷‍♂️

It was 2nd period when you heard some boys shit taking about your dad, this infuriated you, "he's just some lame old guy," the first boy said, "yeah his daughter's probably a freak too" that's when you broke. Your pencil went up in flames and went out as you dropped it in fear. The whole class was silent, so you ran, you ended up in a stall in the girls bathroom,

you pulled out your phone to text your dad, you were shaking so bad it took nearly 2 minutes to type 'hey can you pick me up' when he eventually got to the school, and saw you crying, he immediately swallowed you in a big hug, you told him the whole story on the way home.

CBS Ghosts - Viking Funeral - Fountain vs Roof Fight

Warning, Spoilers may appear.

LMAO. Sam's putting on a show about how great the fountain would be while Trevor's nodding along, but SERIOUSLY SAM - the outside of the house should probably be fixed first.

I do like her little show though because it's a lot like Trevor's showing when he tells a story and I low-key ship them.

Why isn't Jay bringing up the obvious issue - which is that the house doesn't even look good and you're worried about a fountain.

OTOH, I do love that he says "no one loves a fancy fountain more than I do" because I wonder if Jay has a thing for fancy fountains.

I'm really glad that Jay points out the obvious - THE ROOF IS MORE IMPORTANT. How is this even a debate?

LMAO though, at Alberta - who she talking to? I mean, it makes sense that he would point out the Roof's importance. You have to get structural issues done before focusing on aesthetics.

I love that the ghosts are clearly on Jay's side - they're like "Yes, you're right" - this is important later.

The ghosts celebrating her losing the fight and her response being something that Jay could misinterpret.

Look at these responses:

Trevor does some sort of "Oh snap" thing.

Flower is doing a dance.

Sass is a little like "come on"

Pete's nodding and elbowing Alberta.

Alberta is clapping and dancing.

And Isaac's leaning back like "oh yeah".

We can't really see Thor or Hetty, but like the pure excitement and the way that they cheer is just too good.

"HAHA - DING DING - Oh YOU NAILED THAT!" - the best.

It's just so good. I can't imagine how hard it is for Sam to concentrate on her argument because she's literally hearing 8 other people say she's wrong. 1 vs 9 I'm surprised she didn't care.

He's Like I HAVE A VOICE DAMNIT - We're meant to be a team. AND THAT'S GOOD, but you did make this choice to live there without her.

I love seeing this moment from Jay's POV. To him, she's yelling at no one.

AW JAY, he's like "Oh right that's a thing - they're here?"

He's just trying to get used to the reality that there are people in his life that he can't see or hear. That's rough.

Poor Jay.

LMAO - the ghosts are finally able to be seen and heard and Sam's like "YALL ARE ANNOYING"

Which, fair. She deserves to feel like she can argue with her husband without their commentary.

Aw though, the ghosts are hurt. BUT

Trevor vs Sass comes up here:

Trevor says it's a little harsh, while Sass says she's not wrong.

It's interesting that Hetty agrees with Trevor and Alberta is like "humph, me annoying."

Jay tries to ignore them. And focuses on the fight.

But what he says here isn't really fair.

Technically, yes, Sam wanted the move more than Jay did, however, JAY made the decision on his own while she was in a coma. He didn't wait for a discussion so throwing it on her is UNFAIR.

Even though he is saying the truth - what he's giving up will affect them in the next two seasons, BUT it's not fair to put that solely on him.

Thor's right - he's absolutely playing a guilt card and that's as unfair as what Sam does next.

Sam knows what he's doing and decides - "Oh, you throw that on me - fine, I'll lie about our new housemates".

She says that the ghosts (WHO CLEARLY DONT) agree with her to make her point and it's hilarious that she can do this so casually.

I wonder how many other arguments she's won by saying that the ghosts are on her side.

(I can't believe this worked) mainly because it's so much more important to do the roof.

This is all of the ghosts reactions in one gif, but I wanted to break it apart so the individual ones are below.

I love that Flower and Sass are making a similar reaction like "OH yeah - gasps/chuckle". It's so great - we don't see much of them together, but I bet as nature lovers, it makes sense that they would bond over that.

Then there's Alberta and Isaac together. Alberta looking at Isaac, gleefully talking about how Sam's making things up and Isaac looks quite surprised.

LMAO TREVOR - he finds her manipulating Jay by lying as hot - you should probably look into that Bro.

I love that Hetty seems - impressed - that Sam's got that ruthless Woodstone blood.

It's interesting that we don't see Pete - either here or in the cheering scene below - I think this is the moment Pete starts getting an attachment to Jay.

Given his bad marriage - he was probably always the loser in these type arguments and is probably feeling bad for Jay that he doesn't know that the ghosts actually sided with him and he's right about it. This comes up later in the next scene, but it's very curious.

Sam knows that pulling out the ghosts makes it 9 to 1 in her favor, so clearly she wins this. You can tell by them sitting down and the way Jay's like "yeah, I'm a pushover".

AHHH the ghosts' reactions. I broke this gif down, too.

Alberta - the singer gives a chef's kiss and a clap.

Isaac with his "Bravo" and clapping his hands the way that he would have in life.

Flower and her little smile and clap.

Sass and his soft nodding and clap.

Trevor and his reaching his hands out to clap at her.

And then Hetty's slight clap and grin.

DESPITE THE FACT that the ghosts were on JAY's side - they're cheering for Sam. And I think it's because they appreciate that she was underhanded to get her way. Which makes the fight interesting.

SAM - you won! Why are you the one leaving? Would it not make more sense for Jay to storm out? (If I were Jay, I would).

LMAO - Alberta's like ... "well, I guess there's paint to look at"

DAMN can you imagine wanting to watch paint dry? Why not go for a walk or ask Sam for TV? Like ... paint?

But the funny part is Pete's Smile - he's like a little excited.

OMG I love the looks on their faces when they realize that their entertainment is over and file in line to leave.

BUT the best part is Sass and Trevor both having that head tilt up like "GOD WHY". It's too funny.

Anyway, this was fun. Jay is clearly outnumbered in that house. He deserves better.

when I was younger (like grade school) my school assigned us pen pals w another school so imagine cove or baxter as pen pals w the mc who develops into more... they keep writing even after the assignment ends and sharing their life. when they get phones of their own they talk but still write bc it's what they're used to. when they live together leaving notes for one another <3

and when baxter comes to sunset bird you're all excited n cove is very curious n actually isn't that awkward when meeting baxter bc he has heard a lot abt him just as baxter has abt him

or when baxter comes to tell you that he's actually vacationing in sunset bird n you should come w!!!

cove is so excited and absolutely buzzing the whole week leading up to it

he's a bit worried that you like baxter or are dating since baxter is this cool. older, and flirty guy but you assure him there's nothing there

and his dad is all teasing him, n ofc his neighbors are all "so this is your gf/bf/partner!!!" and snickering while he's all floundering n blushing n turns to you n goes "j-just ignore them. omg yall are embarrassing!!!" n runs away w you

takes you on many lil dates around town n shows you all his favorite spots

comes back w a big grin<333

eventually asks you out or you him and its very impromptu like in the "charity" moment!!!

he sets up a whole thing as your first date on poppy Hill or the beach and brings you a little bouquet (baxter goes "ooh, someone's going on a date" or some coy shit like that and you slap his arm n push him away while you tell cove to wait for you)

if you kiss cove before you leave he goes, "omg... you're not helping yk, you're making me wanna follow you back..."

if you kiss him on the cheek, he goes "another one? just to tide me over until I can see you..."

or w baxter he has you show him all the nice spots n when you get to the beach or poppy hill, he goes "the view from here is quite nice, but not as nice as you"

he's flirting w you this whole time

ofc you've talked abt your feelings w him before and he even asked "is it okay if I flirt with you? I'm sure you're much more beautiful/handsome in person, idk if I could help myself from teasing you even a little bit"

and if you say no that's okay, but if you say yes or even tell him only a little flirting is okay, you're swept off your feet

lots of looking at you w heart eyes and holding your hand or locking arms, walking you to your door or even just opening the door for you

and ofc many compliments on how stunning you are

on his last day there, he's all sheepish and scratching his neck and stuttering. "um... listen, it's okay to say no to what I'm about to ask and I hope this doesn't ruin our friendship. but.."
