can u do a snippet where the villain likes to lie a lot (but in a joking way. Maybe sometimes not. UP TO YOU) x a hero who can tell when the villain is lying

"Okay. I'm sick of this. How can you tell?" Villain demands, stopping mid fight. They hold Hero in place, not giving them an inch of leeway.

Hero's smug smile is so infuriating, they can feel their heart beating faster at the sight.

"What ever do you mean, enemy o' mine?" Hero spoke in a sing-song voice, still grinning. They don't fight Villain's hold, perfectly content at annoying them currently.

"How can you tell when I lie. You always seem to know, you're always calling my bluffs." They say, trying to keep their stern tone. "I know your power isn't lie detection. It's telekinesis... unless you have multiple powers?" Villain muses, like they haven't considered this possibility yet.

Hero laughs lightly. "I'm sorry, am I supposed to believe you when you threaten to blow up a bridge or kidnap the mayor?"

"Sometimes I'm being serious. You always seem to know when I'm telling the truth or not." Villain responds in a huff. Their grip on Hero tightens ever so slightly, but they don't seem to mind. "Tell me how."

"That's some pretty useful information you're demanding. Why should I tell you? It's nice being able to call you out on your lies." Their voice is lighthearted, but Villain knows Hero won't give them what they want without something in exchange.

Groaning, Villain bites. "Alright, alright. I'll leave the city and all civilians thereof alone for... two days. 48 hours of me not kidnapping, killing, maiming, or destroying."

Hero hums as they consider this offer. "Make it a week." They insist after a minute of deliberation.

"Fine," Villain snaps, not particularly happy but relenting, "I'll be on my best behavior for a whole week. Now tell me."

Villain's grip on Hero eases up as they sit up, steadying themselves. "Your nose scrunches up when you lie. You also get this adorable crease between your brows." Hero speaks, a thumb going to brush up against their forehead softly. Villain doesn't move away but instead frowns in response.

"That's it?" They ask, disbelieving they have such obvious tells.

"Also you clench your hands. Like you can't keep your fingers still." Hero adds, voice still airy and teasing. "If it makes you feel better, I don't think anyone else has figured this out."

Villain backs away now, putting some distance between the both of them, as they feel the beginnings of heat rising to their face at this.

"God, I hate you so much." They say through gritted teeth.

Not returning their irritated or embarrassment tone, Hero smiles, stepping back into their personal space yet again. They lean in close, grabbing them by the chin.

"Your nose is all scrunched up again, liar."

The two of you had been up for at least an hour by now but neither of you wanted to leave the bed. It was one of those lazy mornings that you and Adam loved so much, there was nowhere else for you to be today and Adam only had band practice in the evening which left plenty of time for cuddles and kisses.

You were laying on top of Adam, your head was positioned on his chest, perfect to listen to his calm heartbeat, his hands were on your ass and his wings covered both of your bodies like a soft blanket. You were simply enjoying each other's presence in peace.

At least until your neighbors decided that having morning sex loud enough for all of heaven to hear was a fucking good idea.

You lifted your head and glared at the wall that was letting the noises come through to disturb you. “What the fuck?” you mumbled, these motherfuckers had just managed to ruin your entire mood within seconds. The headboard of their bed was steadily bumping against the wall, making the entire thing even more annoying. Who the fuck was having sex at fucking 9am? Apparently those bastards of neighbors you had.

Fucking great.

“I swear if that bitch doesn't quiet down I'll head over to their apartment and stab both of them until they're fucking silent,” you grumbled with furrowed brows and a clearly displeased look on your face. The fucking audacity to disturb you and your husband at such an early time. Adam simply shot you a sharp grin as he petted your hair in order to calm you down a little and commented, “Y’know, I think you should fucking do that.”

That caused your attention to shift from the wall to Adam and you playfully raised an eyebrow at him, “Darlin’,” you breathed as you leaned in closely, your lips were almost touching his yet they stayed far away enough not to, “You wanna see me in fucking cuffs? ‘Cuz after I'm done with their fucking horny asses I'll be definitely going to jail.”

Adam weighted his opinions for a moment before he responded, “Oh hell fucking nah, while you would look absolutely fucking delicious in cuffs, I need my fucking morning kisses ‘n’ who am I supposed to kiss every fucking morning when your murderous ass is rotting in jail? Your goddamn pictures?” You simply looked down at him with a smug look on your face, “You could kiss the glass in jail during visit times.”

Adam made quick work of moving his hands from your ass to your neck and pulling you down into a heated kiss. His lips were eager to claim yours and it didn't take him long to involve his tongue. A small surprised moan escaped you and it bled into the kiss. When you pulled away just the slightest bit to catch your breath he overconfidently hissed, “The only fucking thing my lips will kiss is your fucking skin.”

His wings shoved you off of him, causing you to land next to Adam on your back. The first man was on top of you in an instant and as if to prove his words his lips started to caress your jaw, your neck, your cheeks and lips turning you into a whining and moaning mess for him.

James wouldn't change you for the world. He knows you're not touchy, whether that's not yet or not ever, he's respected it and learned that it's not an indication of your affections for him – it's how you are. 

Still, guiltily, sometimes to the point of internal misery, he craves your touch. 

You're sitting across the sofa with an embroidery hoop in hand, slowly making your way through a cross stitch made up of brilliant, buttery yellows. "Something warm, like you," you'd said. James has carried that comment around for days, each time revisiting it with a greedy kind of love. 

James stretches his legs out, sketchbook in his lap, trying to recreate the curve of your neck. You're used to his constant sketching, his lovely muse. If he asked you to, you'd pose for him, tilt your neck the way he remembers. But it's not really about the drawing. 

He slides across the sofa and takes a look at your embroidering. 

"That's really getting there," he says. 

Your voice is soft as silk as you draw a line down the aida with your finger, nail skipping over neat stitches. "See this colour? I'm not gonna have enough to finish."

"You want me to get you another one?" 

"I can get it." 

"I'll get it, just tell me the colour. The number. Whatever it is." 

You look at him from under soft lashes. James melts and cups your neck with his hand, the tip of his thumb over your pulse. 

"I can get it myself, Jamie." 

"S'only one skein." 

"Exactly." 

James grins at your chagrin and pulls your forehead down to his lips for a small peck. "I'll get it," he says into your skin. 

He drops his hold on you and goes back to his sketching, though he stays at your side. He doesn't realise you've been still until you're moving, laying your embroidery and it's needle out carefully on the floor by your feet with the crafts box full of threads and pins. 

He's expecting you to go to the kitchen. "Can you get me something to drink?" he asks, intent on perfecting the likeness of your lovely hair on paper. 

You don't leave. The sofa groans quietly as you sit back down on your knees, facing James. He glances up from his work and finds that soft look on your face that you reserve for him. You crawl a little closer, your kneecaps pressed into his thigh and your side to his side, elbow blocking his sketchbook as you raise your hand to his neck. You brush your fingertips through the end of one of his thick curls and sigh, content. 

It tickles in the best way, chills moving from the top of his spine, down. 

"You have to stop buying me things," you chide gently, more conversational than scolding. 

James struggles to maintain a casual front. "Baby, why not? You get me stuff all the time." 

You cup his neck, thumb stroking semi-circles into the column of his throat. He wonders if this is a dream, briefly, but his brain has never been brilliant enough to recreate the perfect shade of your lips, the exact lilt of your voice. 

"That's not true," you say. 

"It is. The coffee cake from marks and sparks Tuesday," he supplies. "I'm surprised you didn't have to take out a loan for it." 

"That's different. We shared." 

"Did we?" he asks skeptically, humming. 

You huff a laugh and kiss the end of his eyebrow. He doesn't want to shatter the moment but he needs to be holding you, letting his pencil drop between the curling leaves of his sketchbook to pull you in lightly, arm behind your back. Careful, in case it's not what you want.

To his surprise, you don't weasel out of his grip. You brace your free hand on his shoulder and then move in, wrists crossing as you give him a good cuddle. 

James spreads his palm over your back and savours the moment, knowing it will end too fast for his liking. It doesn't. You turn on your side, ribs pressed to his chest, cheek kissing the bare skin of his collar. 

"Sorry," you start to say, shifting, "I'm squishing your book." 

"No, you're good," he lies quickly. 

You curl up over him and sigh like you're really happy. He knows the feeling, dropping his chin into your crown. 

"I can feel your heart," you say. You start to tap a beat into his neck where your hands rest, staccato, fast. "I love you." 

He thinks maybe you understand how much this small moment means to him – why his heart is going so fast  

"I love you more, sweetness. You don't have a clue." 

"Yeah, I do," you disagree. "I know everything about you, James." 

What should be terrifying is actually a deep, soothing contentment. "Everything?" he asks, amused. 

You tap his heartbeat. Thud, thud, thud. Skip. Maybe you do know everything. 

His voice is small, embarrassed as he asks, "Would you stroke my neck again? Please?" 

You don't say anything as you smooth your hand over his neck. James almost passes out.

“I'll probably go back to the Celestial Realm,” you sighed softly, looking at the night sky with a small frown, something that made Wukong’s subtle content turn to a deep frown. 

“Not looking forward to it?”

“No, not really,” you looked at him with an awkward smile. “But, ya know, it’s home. Such is life,”

“Come with me,” his lips moved on their own. His words caught you off guard and when you looked at him, he was looking at you with slightly wide eyes as well. He quickly looked away and cleared his throat as you did. “I mean, if you want to.”

“I thought I was a nuisance?” you teased him, looking at the view. 

“Yeah, well. A nuisance I got used to,” he glanced at you as you did the same. 

“You really think you'll miss me so much?” you couldn't help but smile, but when he laughed a bit and smiled so effortlessly at you? You felt your heart go BOOM. Your poor heart felt like it would jump out of your chest when you saw him smile at you like that.

“I guess you could say that,” his smile shrunk a bit, somehow making him look even more adorable.

“I couldn't,” you blushed and shook your head, looking down. It wasn't the problem, though, you more than could… you just-  “I don't want to be a bother.”

“I'm the one that suggested it, idiot,” he chuckled and held your chin, making you look at him. “You think I'd ask you to stay with me if I didn't want you there?”

“Um… well,” you stuttered, looking into his eyes, unable to form proper words with your blood rushing to your cheeks. “Um…” 

“Well?” he smirked a bit and raised a brow. “Forget how to talk?” he mused. 

“No!” you said a little too loudly, which resulted in you covering your mouth. You both looked to see if your shout disturbed the others in their slumber, but it luckily didn't faze any of them. Pigsy turned on his back, yes, but that was about it. You both sighed softly in relief and stared at each other for a second before quietly snickering with each other. 

That was close.

“Didn't think you could be so loud,” he taunted, which didn't help with your blush.

“Anyway,” you tried to change the subject. “How come you offered to take me with you anyway?”

“Well, no one can make you go back to the Celestial Realm if you don't want to go,” he stated with an indifferent shrug.

“But Buddha-” 

“Did he tell you to not go anywhere else when you're finished with your mission?” He raised a brow. 

He got ya there.

“I guess not,” you rubbed the back of your head before looking at him a bit more determined. “Alright then, after we get the scriptures, I’ll go with you to Flower Fruit Mountain.”

“Okay,” he said with a slight and content smile.

“Okay,” you returned the smile before your brain caught up with you and you turned away. You both looked at the night sky in silence before you moved closer to the Monkey King whilst not looking at him.

“I guess the real reason is that I wanna spend more time with you,” he said stubbornly as he stole a glance at you.

“I'd like that too,” you smiled to yourself. 

“Good to know,” he nodded slightly, a tiny blush on his usually stoic face.

“Mhm,” you gave a curt nod. 

From there, let's just say that your relationship with Wukong got… far more interesting.

Normally the Arts and Crafts club is a silent place, with only some ambient songs from the club's collab playlist as a company to the artists all in their zone. Today started no different, the club president presenting them today with a simple mindless doodle session before them getting into the more ellaborate club activities. Kris stayed very much in his zone as always, being the softspoken and shy boy he is. on his normal seat, with a sketchbook and some colored lead eraseable pencils, he doodled. Except everyone around noticed how he would sigh and stare at his doodles. The truth is, for a while Hartdagger had been in love. He just never opened up with anyone but his bestfriend Moira about it. "Ah~Monsieur Spotted, I see you're on art duties. Beuté!" "AHHH!" Kris was close to throwing the sketchbook up in the air in fear from the oh so common voice he grew to love. Rook Hunt seemed to be observind the club... again. "ROOK! GO AWAY! SHOO SHOO!" The club leader tried shooing the man away, but to no avail. he made his seat next to Kris, looking politely at the club president. "Ah, monsieur artiste, I can guarantee I will behave according club rules during my stay, you have not to worry!" "I-I... Sir, I can keep an eye on him... I-if you want it, that is,, i'm not forcing it in aniway i'm sorry if i seem like-" "Keep him from touching anything and it's all good Kris, if he gives you trouble i'll just call the headmage." Okay. sorry..." during the small conversation, Kris failed to observe Rook's head getting closer and closer to his space, until he could quite literally feel the brim of his hat touch his forehead. "My, my... I knew you liked to draw people, Monsieur Spotted, but never thought i would be a form of inspiration for you. Such magnificence, so much attention to the details." "Eep! You were... you... were staring at my doodles?!" Kris hugged the book to his chest "don't mind it! really!" "Why, it is a beautiful! If you ever are in need of a muse, I will be happy to provide! La chasseur d'amour will always provide the inspirations to seek the beauty in all!" While others only groaned, Kriss mumbled something under his breath. It seemed almost unaudible, but to a pair of trained hunter's ears, it was as clear as day: "you already are my muse" Rook kept his composure, but of course, the hunter had the affirmation of the prey, and now he is ready to get it for himself. "Perhaps you would enjoy a posing session later on Pomefiore?" Kris stared at Rook, face already flushes since the moment Rook invaded the boy's personal space, but he didn't have in him to deny, so he slowly nodded. Rook was going to say something, when he heard the common call of Vil for his Vice Housewarden's aid. Rook smiled sweetly before stooding up "It seems Roi du Poison is in need of my hunting skills, but fret not, for I'll come back at when the meeting ends! Trés Bien!" As soon as Rook left, and everyoned seemed more at ease, the president went to Kris "Hey... Thanks for the help but..." "Yes, sir?" "Do you know how does he know when the meetings end when we have it end in different times each day?" Rook Hunt things, were all everyone could assume.

In regards of your artistic block, have you tried reading a bit more of things you like? I find reading stuff I like can inspire me to do my own thing, be it a twist on a prompt, or a new prompt altogether.

On that same line, songs can be a great muse for inspiration, I mean, Point of Know Return (Fic planned after GC) came from a song from the same name. Animal and Temporary High will be fics for Marauderween that were also loosely inspired by these songs. Sometimes you can inspire yourself to create art by using other forms of art as muses.

Now, that's in regards to getting started, now in regards to becoming better, there are only two ways in which you can do that (and they're linked to each other).

First of all, you have to read a lot. It doesn't matter if you're reading classics, best sellers, webtoons or even fanfics. Just make sure whatever it is you are reading, has words and or phrases that you think are interesting.

Some of the best ways to describe people's reactions, I have learned from fanfiction, so trust me on this one, as long as you aspire to be like the writer you're reading, you're on a good path.

And the second one, writing. This one might be cliché: "If you wanna be a writer, write," said every single writer ever. But there is a reason for this: the only way to improve is to practice.

And I KNOW writing for the sake of it can be exhausting, especially when you start setting yourself time minimus or word minimus and such, but trust me IT IS WORTH IT!

Some of the best stuff I've written for GC (not all of it) have come from moments in which I wasn't quite feeling "it" but I forced myself to continue writing because I knew I had to post (Now be careful with the "forcing" part, you do not want to overexert yourself, but you do want to put in a bit of effort).

So yeah, it really does narrow down into reading and writing is the way to go (alternatively, you could also find movies with the vibe you're going for and watch those, I mean I went straight to watch Dreamers when I knew I wanted to write a trhouple so...).

Now I'm no expert, but I hope this helps you with that pesky writer's block, sending you all the love xx

➼ Izana’s favorite music normally falls under the indie and rock umbrellas. He’s partial to 80s-90s rock and alternative rock but enjoys some modern indie artists from time to time. I see that he canonically listens to Queen (though I’m not sure if he does love the band or just one song), so there’s that. Other artists he might listen to are The Rolling Stones, Muse, The Strokes, Aerosmith, The Smashing Pumpkins, Arctic Monkeys (insists he likes their pre-AM music, would make a face if you tell him your favorite Arctic Monkeys song is “Do I Wanna Know”) ... and Mitski..... (you know why)

➼ Somewhat your mom/dad’s music taste. Probably one of those people who say older music’s better than new music. He’s a New Wave guy. Likes a lot of 70s-80s pop hits; some funk, soul, and disco music; with some alt indie bands sprinkled in. He’s fond of shoegaze because of its floaty and ethereal sound which makes him feel nostalgic and at peace. He also appreciates mesmerizing vocals and orchestral instrumentals, so I think he’d like Florence and Lana if he heard them. 

➼ Artists he would probably like: ABBA, Prince, The Cure, The Smiths, New Order, Cocteau Twins, Lady Gaga (I think she was big in Japan + her songs probably played a lot in clubs + she was always doing something shocking and Ran liked that)

Get a feel of his music taste: Lullaby - The Cure, Heart of Glass - Blondie, Gimme! Gimme! Gimme! - ABBA

RINDO

➼ He’s into R&B, soul, 90s rap like Notorious B.I.G., Tupac, and Ice Cube. That’s what you’d usually hear playing in his room while he’s chilling. He’d listen to DJs too, of course, but maybe to the more underrated ones. (I don’t know that many DJs so I’m not giving names) He shares Ran’s taste for Prince. As for some newer artists, I think he’d like Joji and Childish Gambino.

➼ Likes EDM but frowns upon the EDM of the early 2010s. He has pretty strong feelings about it. Never play The Chainsmokers in his presence or die. 

➼ His and Ran’s music tastes overlap when it comes to indie/alternative artists. Both brothers act like snobs over it. Rindo actually buys and collects records (as you can see, he has a CD and DVD shelf in his room), searching for rare versions of his favorites and everything.

SHION

➼ Metal, metalcore, punk rock, emo. Anything that includes loudness and screaming. Because of Rindo’s influence, he also got into some 90s hip hop himself. I think he’d enjoy the way someone like Eminem raps. He could never get into chill R&B though, and most pop songs are either too “happy” or too “sappy” for him and he just wants something that screams in rage most of the time.

➼ He’d enjoy Deftones’ Around The Fur album, as well as My Chemical Romance’s stuff, some Evanescence here and there (he’s had a crush on Amy Lee at some point), Bring Me The Horizon, Three Days Grace, Slipknot, and old Metallica

Others’ music tastes easily rub off on him, so Izana’s alternative rock, Mucho’s oldies, Shion’s metal, and Ran’s disco pop have all found a place in his playlists.

➼ The type of guy to have a Taylor Swift (he likes Back to December) or Britney Spears CD hidden somewhere in his room. Also got into One Direction at one point. If anyone asks, he’ll says it’s his girl’s or mom’s. 

➼ Okay, not Western, but he listens to Kpop and Jpop and stans girl groups.

➼ If Ran’s got the music taste of your mom, then Mucho’s got the music taste of your grandparents. His taste in oldies is a lot similar to Ran’s but goes further back in time. He enjoys the “classy” feel of most of these songs and the way these singers sing. His favorite genres are funk, soul, R&B, and some oldies pop.

➼ You rarely hear music playing in his house. But if you do, it might be Frank Sinatra, Elvis Presley, Bee Gees, The Carpenters, or Simon & Garfunkel.

➼ And as for some more modern artists: Coldplay, Hozier, and Silk Sonic. Would enjoy Lana del Rey’s style too, especially her Ultraviolence songs.

➼ Kaku doesn’t “stan” artists. If you ask him who his favorite artist is, you would not get an answer. He’ll listen to anything that sounds good to him no matter what people think of it. 

➼ That said, he’s the person Izana makes a face at for saying that his favorite Arctic Monkeys song is “Do I Wanna Know?”

im actually kinda stumped on how to continue this one mainly because of the breeding kink being the primary focus and the reader initially being gn. i feel iffy doing this to my fellow gn readers as well, as i don't wish to exclude them and i don't think im that good of a writer to pull off a gn smut.

as for any advice? okay so this is what helps me a lot in staying productive and motivated (aka my writing routine when i tackle my prompts):

whenever i receive requests or think up new fic ideas of my own, i instantly write them down in my goodnotes notebook. from there, i tweak and outline, trying to figure out what i like and don't like. i think of titles, scenes, dialogue, all that jazz. and perhaps this is so silly, but i use my college essay strategy (introduction, body, and conclusion) CAUSE THAT HELPS SO MUCH! trust me on this, it makes it a shit ton easier. sometimes i start on the body and other times the introduction- whatever feels easiest for me. also, whenever you're working on a larger fic, at times, i find it best to write the part(s) where you have the most ideas and energy, and then gradually branch out.

throw out a rough draft, like a really ugly and shitty base. leave it alone for a day and then work on polishing it. it is much better to approach your writing with a fresh and clearer mind. and if you're feeling less committed to it, move on to something new and come back to it later on!

there is absolutely no use in forcing yourself to do something you don't want to do. nope. not at all. it just ruins everything.

for when i start to lose motivation (or begin to feel that stupid writer's block), i usually pull up a book to read. for my aemond fics, i'll typically reread fire and blood or one of the books in the asoiaf series. i don't know why but reading grrm's writing style fills me with a sudden rush of motivation and encouragement to write for this sexy one-eyed pathetic meow-meow bastard.

(okay well that and i'll go back to all my previous fics and reread y'all's comments, cause receiving comments from y'all is the best fucking fuel EVER.)

my love, my best advice is to find your own writing style. your own groove. as cliche as this sounds, writing is a form of art, and every artist has their own way of creating such. it is what makes us unique. play around, read some books, listen to music, talk to your mutuals (@chainsawsangel is my muse. love you bestie. everyone say thank you cause she constantly motivates my ass to write), and practice until it feels natural to you. think of your followers kicking up their feet in the air while reading your work. how excited they will be when they see you posted something new. "YAY, SHE POSTED!!!"

001. private and selective! If i want to follow i want to rp, this is mainly to set expectations. i work full time remotely with an intl team so things can get a bit dicey.
