"i love my dads"
︱ shu yamino x claude clawmark [clawmino] , clawmino are your dads , overworked and sick reader , they take care of you

you waltzed into the living room with your backpack full of books and laptop, you've been so overworked this past month because of exams and you so conviently also got sick because of one of your classmates. your eyelids slowly start to close and then you were off to dreamland.
as you were in the slumber, one of your dads, claude, walks into the living room and sees the scene. he walks up to the couch and sits down with you, putting his hand on your forehead, "poor thing..." he whispered under his breath. he decided to take matters into his own hands and take care of you for the rest of the weekend, he sat you up and took your backpack off and set it on the ground, right as he was doing this, shu walks in humming, "...hm? what's wrong with them?" shu rushed to your side, "they're overworked, shu.. i mean have you seen them all month? they've been at it nonstop..." claude explained as shu puts his palm on your forehead, "you take them to bed, i'll go make tea" shu assembled a plan. despite both of them being strong and having muscly arms, claude liked carrying you more because it reminded him of when you were a little baby and he would just never let you go, it almost makes him emotional everytime he princess carries you. now that you were in university and have your own dorm, you're always busy and rarely home. shu knew what he was doing when he asked claude to carry you up to your bedroom.
one arm went under your legs and the other just below your shoulder, on your back. claude princess carried you upstairs and gently set you down on the bed. he strokes your hair, moving it out of your face. everytime he strokes your hair it reminds him of the times when you were little and your 2 dads would sit on the edge of your bed and sing you songs to help you sleep, having 2 dads that can both sing definitely had alot of pros. sometimes when you were little and walking past their bedroom, you could hear shu practice singing your favorite songs to sing you to sleep tonight.
shu walked in with a tray with a cup of tea and a thermometer, he walked closer to the bed and set the tray down on your bedside table, "don't you miss this?" shu chuckled and he sat right behind claude, rubbing his shoulders. "im happy they're working hard to chase their dreams, but yea sometimes i do just miss family time.." claude answered. as the two were talking, your eyes slowly open to see them. they both smile warmly at you, "morning, sleepyhead.." claude greeted you, "hun, it's 6pm.." shu nerded, to which claude looked at him with a look. you laughed at the two and sat up, "anyway.. have some tea, sweetie" claude looked back to you and gave you the warm cup of tea, "thanks, dad.." you coughed out and drank the warm liquid. it was just what you needed.
shu scooted on the bed to sit next to you, and you instinctively layed the side of your head on his shoulder. claude smiled warmly at the both of you and pulled out his phone to snap a picture, "daaad... really?" you rolled your eye jokingly, shu just laughed and striked up a peace sign. "yeeees really" claude laughed as he took the picture commemorate this cute moment.

i think it's calmed down a bit? i don't feel like i'm on the verge of death anymore, but it is enjoyable to be dramatic. maybe not when my body feels uncomfortable, though. my room is awfully messy.
plus i have homework that i need to figure a way to do. it's annoying because i'm used to school routine. wake up, get ready, learn. now i'm just.. stuck
i don't think.. my health is in perfect shape. i mean, i'm always almost dehydrated? i have a bottle of water with me right now. i just drank green tea! did make me feel somewhat better. i don't think i'll be able to sleep today. i got 5 hours of sleep last night, which is when it all started. i can't wait for this to disappear
honestly, i think that's why i like him. it's honestly cool. and in the percy jackson series, i like how he was portrayed. and the helmet being included as well? so cool. the underworld in that series was written well, in my opinion
i'm in bed, if thats what you mean. currently watching something to keep me distracted. it's nice. your presence itself makes me feel comforted, so don't worry about it, verity.
i started another book. dunno if i'm gonna finish it, it's like 300 something pages long. the beginning was pretty disturbing, but i think that's why i'm reading it. dark books and writing are interesting
— 🐢 anon
hyperbolic is a way of life. cant deny.
glad you don’t feel on that edge anymore! though… you know, i personally think you can always go up. so, keeping those positive thoughts in mind. when my room is messy, i choose to think of it as an aesthetic and less as an actuality. playing pretend is always fun.
wow. i am not an optimist at all. don’t worry though, i’ve got pet names for days.
you’ll get back to the routine. i know how much i hate it when i get off schedule, but give yourself a moments rest. new schedules, new plans work for me. i don’t know if you’re the same, but there’s always that.
i hope you are able to sleep some tonight, my darling, as that is the best medicine. more water, more tea. honestly, as long as you are not crippling from dehydration like a leaf, then i’d say you’re doing alright.
your opinion, as mostly always, is correct! it is popular for a reason after all. plus, youthful. sometimes you need a break from all the seriousness.
dark books and writing are interesting. poetry comes from pain and so, that’s probably why i like it. and why i write so weird. glad you’ve got something to keep you entertained though! that’s always important.
…i am. well aware this made about 2% sense, but maybe you speak my language. i’m in a mood rollercoaster right now so you’ll have to forgive me.
drink water, laugh at distracting things (just in your head if it’s painful) and… something else good.

Okay, so I've heard about that theory in which princess Yue was to be the Avatar but since Aang hadn't died but just had frozen himself, the cycle was somehow broken and that's why Yue was born so weak and had to be saved by the Moon Spirit. This actually gave me a fanfiction idea, so
in this concept Yue is Sokka and Suki's child, as Lu Ten is Mai and Zuko's. They spend a bit of their vacation at their houses in the Upper Ring of Ba Sing Se. Everything is peaceful. Everything is fine.
***
Lu Ten was screaming. He didn't have any control over his body, needless to say, his mind. He just wanted it to be over. Suddenly, he felt a gentle tug on his shoulder and he shuddered. Then he felt the second tug, a little bit more intense than the previous one.
"Lu" said someone with a really soft voice. "Lu, wake up."
So Lu Ten screamed for the last time and this time he immediately woke up and sat up on his bed. He was panting heavily, the sweat dripping off his body. At first he couldn't see anything. Only after a few breaths was his vision slowly getting better.
"Everything's alright, Lu." The same voice rang out again, finally letting Lu Ten fully get back to reality. It was kind of like his anchor and though he had sometimes heard it in his dreams, it had never been so clear before. Lu Ten blinked and he realised why this time it was different.
"Yue" he whispered and lied down again, utterly exhausted, as he saw his beautiful friend right in front of him. Her dark brown hair tickled his face when she leaned towards him to make sure he's awake. For real now. Lu Ten took one last deep breath and got up from the bed. He walked to the table and drank some water he'd prepared himself in a cup. The rest of it he spilled on his head. Yue came up to him and gently touched his shoulder.
"Everything alright?" she asked caringly. He nodded.
"Yeah" he answered, not being completely sure if he reassured her, or himself. "Yeah, everything's fine, it was just, uhm..."
Yue raised her eyebrow.
"A nightmare?"
"No, no, I don't have nightmares, no." He forced a laugh.
"Right" snorted Yue. "You know, you may be one really powerful firebender but that doesn't make you any truthbender."
"You say so?"
"I literally heard you screaming, Lu Ten. I woke you up."
The boy shrugged his shoulders.
"Maybe you needed something?" he suggested and he suddenly realised something. "Wait a second, why were you even here?"
Yue seemed a bit confused for a moment.
"Uhm, I heard your scream" she answered finally, trying to be convincing. "I walked in to make sure you're not in any trouble. As always."
"Very funny, Yu. You were saying something about being a truthbender...?" he said, as if he was wondering.
"Excuse me, I'm the daughter of Sokka and Suki, I was basically born with the power of truthbending. Gotta have a talent, you know?" she said jokingly, throwing her hair behind her back.
"Yeah, of course. Come on, Yue, what were you doing outside this late?" He nudged her teasingly. "Perhaps a date or something? You know, holiday fling?" He insinuated, while feeling a bit of jealousy that she actually might have confirmed.
"I wish." She winced. "I... I was, uhm, kind of having nightmares myself" she admitted finally. "I woke up and I decided to take a walk. Moon soothes me."
Lu Ten's face changed immediately.
"Yue, I'm sorry." He shook his head. "I didn't mean to..."
"It's fine, really. Now come, you want to take a walk with me?" She held out the hand to him. He smiled.
"Sure. Let me just put on some shirt."
She nodded. After a while, they were walking by calm, peaceful streets of the Upper Ring of Ba Sing Se. Neither of them was saying anything, they just walked silently, hand in hand, being happy of each other's presence. They stopped at the fountain. It was a clear, warm night, so they took off their shoes and sat down, letting their feet dip into water. They were sitting silently until Lu Ten spoke up.
"It's a beautiful moon."
Yue smiled.
"Yeah, it really is. You know, my dad used to tell me the history of a girl from the Northern Water Tribe. She was a princess, actually. She was beautiful, and kind, and very brave, because when the time came, she was ready to sacrifice her life to become the Moon Spirit. I was named Yue after her."
"Did your parents know her?"
"My dad, yeah. They seemed to have been pretty close, you should've heard how he talked about her."
"Yeah, listen, from what I've been told, you should've seen my granduncle's face when my parents told him I was gonna be named after his son. Apparently, he cried so much. My father told not once that it was the least he could do for him for... well, everything."
"General Iroh was more like a father to your dad than Ozai, wasn't he?"
"He was." Lu Ten nodded. "He still is."
Yue looked up at the moon, thinking.
"You want to tell me about this nightmare that's bothering you?" asked Lu Ten softly. Yue sighed.
"This dream it... It comes back to me every full moon. But please, don't laugh, okay?" She looked at him pleadingly, with a weak smile.
"I won't, I promise."
"Okay, so, in this dream... I am about to become the Avatar. I can feel it's a great power, so I'm preparing myself to take it in. I'm waiting and waiting and it exhausts me but I reassure myself that once I take in the Avatar's powers, all my strengths will come back to me three times as great. And suddenly, something happens. Light blinds me, but no new strengths came. Instead, I'm just getting weaker and weaker. I don't know what's happening, but I can barely breathe. It's like, the circle has been broken and I don't know what to do. I try to scream but I can't even open my mouth. It's... it's horrifying." Tears appeared in Yue's eyes. She lowered her voice to whisper and she just looked at her hands. "I'm dying" she said barely audibly. Lu Ten didn't say anything. He took her hand and gently stroked it. He wanted to remind her she didn't have to be scared, because he was there. He wouldn't let anything bad happen to her.
"Anyway" she said after a while, when she managed to collect herself. "That's when I wake up." She looked at him with a sour smile. "Every time. No sooner, no later. I don't know what it means, so."
"Have you told about it anyone?" he asked, moving closer to her. She laughed quietly.
"No, absolutely not. And I forbid you to."
"Okay, no worries, just... I want to help you."
"I know, but please, don't tell anyone. I'll manage. So, you wanna share your dream now?" she asked immediately, trying to escape from the uncomfortable subject. Lu Ten let go of Yue's hand and smiled sourly.
"My dream is strictly connected with this city" he started. "I'm in Ba Sing Se but this isn't, you know, our Ba Sing Se. I'm in the Fire Nation's Army uniform. I have my own unit under command. It isn't big but I feel like it's great anyway. I know I trust these people. And suddenly, we begin to fight. At first, we win. We're going further and further into the town and I feel I'm on a tear, so I don't stop. Somebody's shouting my name but I ignore it. I run and I fight. I shout I don't need any more people, I'm calling off the reinforcements. Everything's great. But then I'm trapped. Earthbenders, more than I can possibly take, surround me. It's just me, my whole unit has suddenly disappeared. I try to fight them but I can't hold off them all. Nevertheless, I don't call for help. I just... try to take down these people. They're an obstacle. Someone shoots me, so I scream. I feel warmth of my blood. My vision blurs. I give more shots, and I get the same amount at me. Finally, I collapse. In my head there's just granduncle's song. It bores into my mind, I can't think of anything else, I can't hear anything but this song. It's more powerful than any thought, any sound I try to focus on. It hurts more than my wounds. So I scream. And I scream again and again, until I can't scream anymore." He looked at Yue seriously. "I'm dying, too" he whispered. Yue didn't say anything. She just moved closer and hugged him. He hugged her even tighter. The tears started to fall down their cheeks. They were both crying, because that felt like the only right thing to do.
"Don't tell anyone" whispered Lu Ten after a while.
"I won't" promised Yue.
They sat there, hugging each other, for a long time. They barely moved. Then Lu Ten cleared his throat and slightly moved away.
"We should go back home."
Yue nodded, sniffling.
"Yeah. Yeah, we should."
"I bet granduncle Iroh could make us some soothing tea, if you'd like."
"I would love to, but tomorrow, okay? We'll go to The Jasmine Dragon."
"Okay. Come on, I'll walk you." He held out his hand. Yue took it without hesitation.
"Thanks" she said quietly, smiling weakly. They didn't talk on their way back home. They really didn't feel like it. When they arrived at Yue's home, she hesitated.
"What is it?" asked Lu Ten.
"Actually... uhm..." She looked at him awkwardly, then she shook her head. "You know what, never mind."
"No, tell me, what's wrong?"
"I was gonna ask you, since I won't be getting much sleep tonight, if you wanted to keep me company" she admitted, smiling. "But then I figured you'd probably want to catch even a few hours of sleep."
"Actually, no, not at all. And I'd rather sit silently with you than alone, so." He smiled. "I would love to keep you company."
She looked at him gratefully and open the door. They sat on the carpet, near each other, trying not to fall asleep. But after a while they didn't even realise they did. They were sitting, leaning back against the wall, Yue's head resting on Lu Ten's shoulder and his head resting on hers. And when they were together, no more nightmares bothered either of them that night.

Draecember 2018 day 1, writing
Tumblr media
The prison break was one of the weird things that happened. Then there were witches, then worshippers of C'thu... I forget it's name of the horrible sea monster, but it terrified me to the bone. I stayed in town that time. And lets not forget the pirates at Freehold! Such vile people! I mean, I prefer the Legion to them!
There was one good thing. It made up for all the bad stuff that happened. I found my childhood friend! Ireana! We were totally inseperable before... before the Legion attacked. After that, I'd lost her. I didn't know if she had died, or if she maybe got away. I was alone on what remained of Argus. I heard a ship managed to escape. The Exodar. At the time, I could only hold onto the tiny sliver of hope that Ireana was on that ship.
Not a single day in 1,000 years went by that I have not thought about her. She left while I was barely a teenager.
But I found her! She is here, on Borales! I saw her getting in with Greymane at her side. I couldn't stop to talk though, so I was waiting till things calmed down a little, which has been days later.
___________
I put my journal away in my pack, then sat up from my cot, then left the cabin. I'm stuck in Drustvar after a blizzard pounded the area. The witch problem had been put to rest a month ago, and everything was slowly getting better there.
I was sent out here to take a full report on the situation here, in Waynecrest! It's surprising to see the people adjusting to their lives again! I'm so proud I'm a part of the Order of Embers, so I often come here. Lucy gave me my own cabin, just outside of the town. It is a 10 minute ride back to town.
Then the snow started. I cannit get my report done until this damned blizzard blows over!
I had just put a log on the fire when I heard the last thing I expected to hear today... a knock on the door. Well, more of a pounding on the door, which nearly made me jump out of my hooves!
I jumped up and ran to the door, looking out of the window just beside it. I saw nothing but snow, althought, I could see something else. It looked like the snow uniforms the Alliance used. I opened the door, and almost screamed.
It was Ireana.
"Hello, I was sent to check on you, ma'am," she said, trying not to let herself shiver, "The General wanted to know if you had finished that report, or if you will need more time."
I realized that she probably couldn't recognize me due to my little change. "Please, come in," I said, standing to the side and holding my hand to her. She smiled, then held my hand with both of hers. I pulled her in and sat her down in front of the fire. I didn't exactly have the biggest of houses, but it was still comfy. Not exactly home, because thats where my serpant is! And home is where the heart is. I think it's because I finally saw Ireana alive and well, and to have grown up from the little snowball caster she was, but I feel... odd. I'm overwhelmed with happiness to have her in my hut, and also terrified. What do you saw to someone who you havent seen in one thousand years??
Instead of worrying, I had started to pour her some tea I had brewing before she showed up.
Before I got started on that, "Or I can get you something a little stronger?" I asked, looking back at Ireana, who had been taking her snow coat off before she sat down. Ireana smiled bashfully and nodded,
"That'd be wonderful, thank you. Do you have anything from locals here?
"As a matter of fact," I laughed, "I have a special brew from Vol'Dun. It came from a small ship under the sea, given to me by the Tortolin behind the bar."
"The bar was... underwater?"
"Yes."
I took out two tankards, and filled them with the Burning Black Beverage. The name sounds intimidating, but the warmth from it is good for this weather. I handed her the tankard while I took a sip, enjoying the warmth filling me.
"This is very good." Ireana commented.
"Yes. I'll show you the bar next time I travel there."
We talked longer, then I decided to let her know who I am.
"My name is Feenaea. We used to be best friends years back," I told her. Ireana had to take a moment to process what I said, but once she got it, she almost started crying.
"I haven't seen you in a lifetime!" She cried, laughing and pulling me into a tight hug. I threw my arms around her, telling her everything that happened since we last saw each other. I felt like I had found a piece of me I had lost, and just now found it. I was complete again. We hugged and talked a lot that night.
I smile and pick up my journal again, writing:
I found her tonight. I found Ireana again after all these years. We hugged, we laughed, and we drank. I'm on my bed, and Ireana is laying right next to me, passed out from drinking too much. She'll cough and a breath of fire with come from her. It's cute, when it isn't burning my bed.I'm going to enjoy Azeroth much more now.
For now, I'm going to sleep. I'll write later.
