Blue Exorcist Season 3 - Episode 1

I was kinda surprised to see everyone upset about it on twitter, but I ended up liking the first episode a lot. It's not perfect, and they cut some things out. But same time I can see why they arranged and moved somethings around. I'm just kind of excited to see everyone animated again.

Especially Izumo. I'm really adoring the character designs for her and Shiemi. I was never too fond of the original character designs. They always felt super weird for the girls, including Shura and even Paku. Seeing them updated, and a little smoother has been really nice.

Adored this scene playing out again. lol Mephisto's such a freaking loser. I'm excited for the scene where he yells at Lucifer too. Especially with his voice actor in the sub. I think the only one that's been hard to get use to is Jun Fukuyama as Yukio. But that's mostly because I've been into Code Geass for too long. Everyone else sounded great too.

It's a little messy all in all but I still really liked it compared to the previous seasons. I'm curious how it'll play out as things go on.

I think what mostly makes me happy it's just being with friends (like u jsjsjs <3) and hanging out with them, even quiet vc's are enough for me, the fact of being with a friend just makes me feel better. qwq

2. Looking at the sky, taking note of every small detail such as the shape of the clouds, the colors of the sky at that moment, or the stars that appear at night is something that really soothes me and can make me happy (yet it makes me a bit sad when thinking that not many people can appreciate it as well). Also I wished I was an astronomy nerd just to know a bunch of stuff about stars and space, but I end up just simply enjoying the view.

3. My fictional blorbos ofc! and other characters thatI love besides them as well. I love seeing fan-work or official stuff where they're just happy, enjoying stuff and having fun! (not a that much of a fan of angsty stuff, but I get it sometimes. We all need our dosis of angst at times)

4. Simple physical touches (with ppl that I'm comfortable with ofc lol) like a pat on the back or a hug. Even though I don't know how to respond 'cuz I'm not used to it and that might make it look like I don't like it, it actually brightens my mood and means a lot to me (tough I'm a sucker for head/hair pats)

5. Listening to music! Music can change my mood so easily in general (not only to a good one tho, we all got those songs u have to help you cry your shit out and that's cool). I always get amazed every time I stop to think about how music can be so important and the different ways it influences our lives even in the smallest details we don't even notice in our every day.

Though on that note, any history book recommendations that go into the ins and outs of monarchy and specifically the roles each memeber of royalty (just in general the titles instead of people) was expected to perform are appreciated. This extends to empires, autocracies, dukedoms and any other variations. Also documentaries and documents work just as well as books for me.

Okay, so. I said I would use this blog for more personal purposes as well and yesterday I stopped myself from complaining on here about how Amazon Prime doesn't let me watch almost anything in the original language and instead I have to endure the annoying German dubbing all of the time. [Disclaimer: I hate Amazon anyway but at the same time I'm a hypocrite because my parents let me use their account so I can watch movies so yeah won't complain about that.] But I didn't want to start on here with bad vibes, so I was very brave and kept my mouth shut.

So INSTEAD, I will start this off today with screaming because TODAY WAS THE BEST DAY I HAD IN A VERY VERY LONG TIME and I have already told every single one of my friends but I want to tell more people SO THIS IS WHAT HAPPENED:

I have this professor I absolutely admire because she's super kind and funny and a really good teacher and I'm super interested in her research topics, and she writes essays one can actually read and understand. If that isn't clear I adore her, but I also have a lot of respect because she is so smart. She's kind of my celebrity crush. So today, out of the blue I got a mail from her. She said she remembered my bachelor thesis which I wrote 1.5 years ago and there was this job as a student assistant at her new research project and if I was interested. Then she asked if I was interested in doing a PhD on that topic and if yes that I could base my master thesis on that new research procet if I wanted her as my supervisor.

And I don't even know what to think because this is so PERFECT and unreal and ... do things like this really happen? Of course, I wrote back and said yes to everything because I had wanted her as my supervisor anyway and had wanted to ask her about a PhD for ages but I couldn't quite muster the courage. I'm a bit afraid to be so elated because things can always go wrong some way. But I've known her for over 4 years now and at least I know she's a very fair person so I can't find it in me to mistrust the situation.
