Submas Twins but in "I'm a Spider So What" setting? Kinda?

(major spoilers for "I'm a spider" light novel below)

What if Emmet was actually Arceus just playing around as a human for the thrill of it? (similar to D)

Something something rift issues, Akari/Rei, "Emmet", and his galvantula get caught in one. In order to not get caught playing hookie, Arceus gives his galvantula memories of being human.

While levelling up and slowly becoming more humanoid, the memories aren't fitting very well. He remembers being a partner alongside Emmet.

Arceus watches as a new person, Ingo, grows into himself. Ingo can only vaguely recall talking strategies with someone and having a partner with ghostly flames. (Emmet enjoyed sending the two out at once during battles.)

Eventually, when the rifts are handled by the main character and Arceus is caught, a decision has to be made. Leave Ingo alone in Hisui? Or take him back?

Arceus chooses the latter, shifting things juuust a bit, making a single Subway Boss into two twin Subway Bosses. Ingo and Emmet! It's so much more fun that way!

Maybe he tells Ingo the truth once they're back in Unova. It takes Ingo a moment for it all to sink in, but this was always his partner and friend. And Emmet has been nothing but a good brother. So they hug and continue their rounds, content to finally have everything out on the table.

someone probably said this already but in spiderverse i think it's interesting how when pavitr was first introduced everyone thought something bad was gonna happen to him bc of how confident and optimistic he was. and then in the actual movie we see that something bad was supposed to happen to him (police chief dying!) but it doesn't! miles stops it! and miguel berates miles for this, says it's going to cause the universe to collapse or whatever.

there's this idea that tragedy is inherent to spidermans growth, and while it's true that some spiderpeople learn important lessons through loss, no one stops to ask, is it really necessary? yeah, maybe the chief was supposed to die. but why does spiderman have to be formed through tragedy? why do we (as heroes) have to let people die? pavitr didn't lose anyone, and he's still a good spiderman! maybe, if he doesn't suffer, he'll end up better off for it!

so while miguel is arguing for all this big picture stuff about saving the multiverse he's lost sight of what it really means to be a spiderman, he's not looking out for the real individual people. yeah it's just one person who would die, but that one person means something to someone. shrugging and saying "stuff just sucks sometimes, we can't do anything about it" is the opposite of what superheroes do. pretty obviously, miles arc is also a reflection of the struggles people face in real life, working within unequal systems, where it's easy to shrug and say "that's just the way it is" and not ask "but why does it need be this way? can't we do something about it?"

miguel is arguing that you can't have your cake and eat it too. presumably, miles and co. are going to find a way to get around that and change things for the better (and maybe that's why miles has that line about two cakes in the advisors office!)

I do feel like the way Kyoshi was written in the Avatar reboot was lowkey influenced by the fandom's perception of her. Cause like in the original show she's really just portrayed as a pragmatist who's willing to kill if necessary. Like Aang is conflicted about killing the Fire Lord and she's like "well if I were in your position I'd do it but that's just me. Good luck." And then people started making memes where she's like a murderous psychopath who thinks extreme violence is always the solution. And it was funny at first cause it was just exaggerating for comedy but now everyone thinks she was actually like that in the show when she really wasn't. And then in the remake her introductory scene is her angrily yelling at this 12 year old that he needs to stop being a little pussy and be a ruthless warrior or whatever and the only explanation I can think of is that someone in the writer's room maybe looked at a few too many of those memes.

Just found out Miguel O'Hara is in fact a Geneticist instead of an Astrophysicist.

Honestly that's like that girl on TikTok who started digging a tunnel system under her suburban home only to reveal months later that she is in fact a computer engineer rather than an architectural one
