Last Thing I Wrote: my BFA dissertation? Pfffft-! But besides that, creative writing-wise i used to write a lot of drabbles based on my OC's and the world I built for them. I have like 4 spiral-bound notebooks on worldbuilding, magic systems, and characters for it that I haven't done anything with.

Currently Writing: planning a steadily evolving project that is TBA and is for sure HP related *wink-wonk*. Not really writing beyond notes and adlibs as it's a collab.

So it appears that Kathleen Kennedy is doubling down on Rey being Luke 2.0 space nun addition. And I've heard that no one else from the past films will even be in the Rey movie concluding that DLF has learned absolutely nothing. Now that A Reylo fic turned OG novel is getting it's own TV series and another well known Reylo fic turned OG novel is anticipated to be the next LOTR series. It sounds like they've either surrendered Ben Solo and the concept of Reylo to its community or couldn't care less due to their warped code of ethics until maybe their filing for chapter 11 bankruptcy. And that's a BIG maybe for me. Any thoughts?

I mean, this is exactly what I said they would do barring some massive shake up. Except rather than no appearance at all, I'm sure there will be horrible CGI thrawls of past characters if they actually make this slop. They're not going to stop trying to legitimise this.

They clearly already decided they do not want our filthy reylo money and it's a question for the philosophers if that's because they're so staggeringly headass that they genuinely can't see the fortune being left on the table or if it's because they think we'll taint the franchise with our terrible girl cooties and drive off all the mouth-breathing manchildren who are apparently their desired audience.

The new disney entertainment monopoly seems terrified of romance, probably because a) aforementioned cooties and b) it requires sincerity and vulnerability, and God forbid we have any of that without quashing it instantly with a fart joke.

All this wank about a specific campaign is getting a little boring tbh. Let's bring in new discourse. For example, no hate to Reylos at all (I'm very much a ship and let ship person) but, in my opinion, Rey should have ended up with Finn! They had crazy chemistry and I was obsessed with their dynamic in the first movie. I would have loved to see them fight together as lovers, maybe Rey dipping Finn in a hallway as a homage to the OG Han/Leia kiss. Stupid Star Wars dudebros ruined it :(

Okay okay okay, damn...where to start? I mean coming from Reylo you're still getting that enemies to lovers the grumpy one is soft for the sunshine goodness. Just imagine like...a Dark Rey/Jedi Ben AU? Yeah that seems like the right vibes to me.

Alright, so like the absolute 🤌thing🤌 for Merrical imo is all of the unspoken understanding between them. When I first played Jedi Fallen Order, what truly got me to start shipping is the moment Cal looked into Merrin's eyeballs and dropped the "I know what it's like to lose everything" line, like damn. That fucking--that ruined my life. He looked at her and validated her and then told her that how she'd been treated was wrong, and I just like fainted the old Katie can't come to the phone right now because she's dead. Here are two people, who both have been through so much, all of the same traumas of losing their entire people at such a young age and they found each other...like...do you know how special that is??

I think that is just another thing that I love about these two. There really is so much unsaid understanding between them that it seems like no matter the universe, they just seem to just naturally want to be around each other, and maybe they don't always understand why, but what it has is the potential to turn into is like *chef's kiss* of building something together that may have a foundation of joint trauma, but can then turn into everything they have been seeking and not even knowing they were. About two broken people, finally feeling like it's okay that they are, like they don't need to be fixed, like they don't need to explain, and they can just be.

It's about what they can build together.

They are so very healthy, have such amazing communication, and ISTG Star War if you don't give us this one pairing that won't end in tragedy I am setting everything on fire.

Alright, so obviously I would suggest playing JFO and then Jedi Survivor to get like the full story, but if you're not a gamer and want to commit to watching the "movie" version JFO, I thought this one was the best of the ones that weren't like 5+ hours but still providing enough context with cut scenes and some game play. I know it's still long but I tried to pick the best one under 3 hours!

For the JS movie. I thought this one was also a good balance of game play and cut scenes to get context. Let me just, like wow Respawn really made this game for the Merricals. Oh shit, these two are going to fuck your life up...in like the best way.

Also...HEH you're still gonna get all the freckle and hair appreciation in the world. Yes, you know exactly what I'm talking about.

ok first of all im so sorry for taking so long but anyway HI i fixed my ask box title thank you for letting me know <3 and omg i have so many star wars opinions idk where to start so i'll just drop some random ones. SPOILERS FOR LIKE THE WHOLE STAR WARS FRANCHISE HERE WARNING.

basically every modern use of luke skywalker in star wars is ooc as fuck. like the luke of the original trilogy just straight up is not the same guy as the luke of the sequel trilogy or the mandalorian. he got bodysnatched at some point.

the prequels are bad like genuinely all three of them are so bad not only as star wars movies but as films in general. if you still enjoy them like sure have fun yknow i liked parts of them but when people try to argue that they're Good Actually that is insane.

rogue one is the best star wars movie outside of the original trilogy. like no contest. it doesn't try to rely on nostalgia or cgi or obvious parallels to the og trilogy, it just tells a story!! this is gonna sound silly but it's good because it's like. an actual movie. the characters of rogue one (ignoring andor which occurred after the fact for reasons that i cannot explain) are generally confined to rogue one and die at the end, meaning that the film was forced to tell a complete story and get the audience emotionally invested enough for the film's ending to feel significant and powerful. which is what a new hope did. because it had to be a good movie in order for there to be more movies in order to make star wars a thing. yknow. anyway.

the force awakens is actually pretty solid as the intended foundation for a new trilogy with new lovable characters and an inspirational story etc but after that kylo ren's whole existence just derailed the sequels as a whole and luke's characterization was so painful i just couldn't stand it. finn should have been the lead of the new trilogy with rey and poe as his leia and han but well. it was probably racism. like i'm not involved personally idk exactly what went down but i think people were just racist.

poe suddenly gaining a shady backstory that runs counter to the everything about him in the force awakens? also probably racist.

also everyone that wants to fuck kylo ren is going to hell no exceptions. sorry to my ex roommate carrie i love her but she's going down. also everyone who ships reylo or reads those tiktok books that are just reylo fic with the names changed? they're going to superhell.

the mandalorian is incredibly competent and entertaining as a show like separate from star wars as a franchise and i think the show is at its best when its engagement with existing characters like luke and ahsoka is extremely limited. not everything has to be about the skywalkers. like star wars is about a whole Galaxy and yet sometimes it feels like it's about a single fucking neighborhood the way the same bitches keep popping up everywhere across all media.

on that note i adore star wars jedi: fallen order and i think one of its greatest strengths is its use of original characters and avoidance of existing ones. like i may be wrong but i'm pretty sure the only character in fallen order that we knew Before fallen order was darth vader and i think that works really well! you go the whole game encountering new villains and allies and planets and stories and then suddenly it's like Oh Holy Shit That's Darth Fucking Vader. it's scary!! it's shocking!!! it's exciting and satisfying!!!! i just love that game so much sorry. cal kestis is my baby and i'm amped about jedi: survivor but i'm also so scared they will ruin him somehow. everybody please pray for my boy.

i'm gonna stop now but i think a lot of my opinions just kinda boil down to like. star wars should not be the mcu. i'm not against spinoffs entirely, i Adore the mandalorian and jedi: fallen order even more than i like the original trilogy, but things really don't need to overlap so much! using cgi carrie fisher for a single scene in rogue one made sense. using cgi luke skywalker for multiple episodes in the mandalorian is just dumb. the way they literally resolved the main plotline of the mandalorian in the boba fett show is ridiculous. star wars is fun and exciting and inspiring and disney sucks and i just hope that the mcu model becomes financially detrimental to them somehow and they pull it back soon.

I like Rey Nobody. You already had a character with the Skywalker blood/the lineage. Kylo Ren. Rey and Kylo/Ben had a connection. That was the story. Rey Nobody doesn't abandon any of the family space soap opera story. It's just a typical knight saves a princess story with the genders flipped. They just chickened out in really telling that story and having a happy ending because of some very specific fan backlash.

Look I get it. Adam Driver is kinda ugly and an awkward actor who doesn't have the charm of Harrison and Carrie. He was also too old for the role, it should have been cast much closer to Daisy/Rey's age to match the emotional maturity. And maybe he shouldn't have been made the villain since people wanted the Skywalker heir to be a hero not a character who would have been more at home in a Space Balls reboot playing Dark Helmet's son.

But I'm an OG fan and saw Star Wars in the theater. (when it was only called Star Wars and not A New Hope) and I thought it was super obvious that they were going to have a romantic connection. I always figured she'd become part of the Skywalker family through Kylo/Ben.

Favorite character: This one is actually hard for me because I love SO many of them but it definitely has to be Anakin Skywalker. Just his entire arc, like it is tragic and just done so WELL. Who is more iconic than Vader/Anakin? No one.

Least Favorite character: I wouldn't say I have a least favorite-- more like, why did you bring PALPATINE BACK JJ ABRAMS WHY? So-- Palpatine. Pls just let the old sith plot device die.

5 Favorite ships (canon or non-canon): Stormpilot, finnrey, reylo, huxrose (a passing interest in the Aesthetic), Rebelcaptain and I do on occassion have a soft spot for Obiwan x a LOT OF FOLKS.

Character I find most attractive: UM Ewan as Obiwan. Anakin. Rey. Leia. Din, Cassian, Jyn... too many to pick from.

Character I would marry: I think Obiwan seems like good husband material. Marry him or Din.

Character I would be best friends with: Rey I hope ;-;

a random thought: If "neutral" force users who turned from the "Jedi" path exist, there should be imo force users who turned from the staunch "Sith" path. I like exploring that idea of an inquistor type like Reva leaving and forging their own path.

Star Wars: The Force Awakens Rewatch Part 3

Harrison Ford looks like he's genuinely having fun running around with Chewie and shooting things.

While it's hilarious that Finn's first instinct is to run, it's great that once it's understood that Rey is in trouble he actually goes not only into battle to directly into the First Order HQ. It's a great friendship especially with those iconic Rey's! Sad that's it's kind of mocked for being simpish.

Reylo - heart eyes - him appearing out the forest like a dark prince and freezing her. The bridal carry at the torn down castle. It's just a hint at what's to come but it's enough that you understand something is different about them. Fairytale vibes for real.

Finn "He took her did you see that. He took her, she's gone."

Han "Yeah, yeah, I know."

Finn stares after him stunned. haha

Finn he's a little preoccupied right now. He just saw his son with a girl, he's about his meet his wifey again after how long. Rey is like 5th on this list right now, while she's your #1

Han and Leia finally back together 1 hour 20 minutes in. Someone was mad.

Poe/Finn is a great bromance.

Leia and Han scene about their son going bad is a great scene and you see the history and the love between them.

It might sound odd that with an interrogation scene Reylos said we're never letting this go - but yes, that's how it is. So many things are fascinating about this scene. How long has he sat there and observed her? He's kneeling as opposed to standing over her. He refers to her as his guest. He doesn't like her friends, but tells her he doesn't know where they are.

Kylo Ren "You still want to kill me"

Ren "That's what happens when you're being hunted by a creature in a mask."

It's also canon in this scene that their force bond is made her and they both feel it. Read the books. Honestly, the chemistry here really is great between them and the dialogue. Daisy Ridley is a great actress having to act while strapped to a table. She just doesn't get the credit.

Poe Dameron is the kind of fighter you want. Brace, fearless and rowdy.

Han "Ok, how do we blow it up. There's always a way to do that." Love Han! You need people like this around in the midst of crisis.

I wasn't an OG fan and I didn't grow up with Star Wars so I don't have the attachment to the OG3 but this was a touching scene.

Adam Driver and Harrison Ford had a lot of ground to cover in this scene since this was literally their only scene. You had to not only believe in their history but care about it.

Whatever good will this movie built up it just squandered it for the OG fans. Not only killing Han but not putting Luke, Leia and Han in a scene together. Yeah, it's down hill from here for these fans.

Yes, it's stupid that Rey beat Kylo Ren. If she fought more streetwise which is something she was used to then that would have made more sense. I don't care that he was wounded, spiritually fucked up and already fought Finn. Scratch him? Yes. Outright beat him? No.

For the star wars anon (I'm not a big star wars fan but I come from a family of geeks and nerds so I've watched them all multiple times) I don't think knowing who Darth Vader is takes any fun from watching it! Quite the opposite for me, it makes the 2nd trilogy even more tragic bc you know what's gonna happen but you don't want it to happen

As the watching order either chronological (trilogy from early 2000s - I think rogue one would be here - og with carrie and mark hamill and harrison ford - latest movies) or watching in the order they were released is fine (but if you go with this one you won't have the palate cleanser of the og in the middle and you'll suffer from jar jar to reylo with nothing in the middle which I wouldn't do personally but I'm a bit of a hater so ajklsb)

I’m so glad you’re against what a lot of reylos are suggesting! How that person was harassed by so called ‘anti antis’ is disgusting and why I’m against the whole idea. God the energy around here is so so far off from how it was in the time of TFA. It’s so nice. I don’t even feel a little bit stressed about anything, I'm just coasting along, lurking, seeing some newer fans asking about all the gates, seeing those newer fans getting so excited and being able to enjoy reylo and SW so much more freely without much of the shit we’d been put through in the past. There’s so much more positivity. TFA era fandom was sucha dark fucking place, god... we loved it but sometimes it just made you miserable and the only reason most anyone stuck around is because you: 1) weren’t suffering alone. 2) were incredibly stubborn and 3) did it out of spite. XD But the fandom vibe right now? I feel so at peace, y’all. I haven’t seen anyone have to call themselves trash or have to justify themselves as a means of self preservation in a long while...
