SSI has failed me again. Because I havent done rent in my aunts home (because she said i didnt have to and could use it for a storage unit to keep my stuff safe) SSI is now cutting my income in half which is news to me and I've never heard of such a thing. Thanks SSI for screwing me up again.

So now I can't pay for my cats appointment to get fixed when shes spraying and constantly in heat and needs to see a vet on the first of next month. 250 dollars.

Why Penelope only has eyes for Colin

Or, why the people who ship her with Debling as an alternative frustrate me.

Disclaimer: this is not about people who ship crack couples for fun. This is why I personally don't like shipping Debling with Pen. Do what you want. I just want to rant for a minute.

The idea that Pen requires male attention to feel confident in herself doesn't sit right with me at all, whether that attention be from Debling or Colin. For me, the whole point of Pen coming into her own and finding her confidence is realizing that she is a brilliant writer, and does not need a husband or a suitor to know that she is Lady Whistledown and she is amazing. She spent years putting on a facade around Colin because she wanted him to fall in love with her, and now that facade is gone and she is truly herself around him. She is Lady Whistledown, and that is what makes Colin fall in love with her, not her dresses or her beauty or her body or her hair or her anything. The moment he breaks is the moment he realizes she is Lady Whistledown, and he finally knows all of her and he is entranced and amazed and in awe and ravishes her in a carriage.

Can Debling ever know all that?

Or is he simply serving as a substitute Colin, with all of his traits, but he never said "I would never court Penelope Featherington"?

We know next to nothing about Debling, and yet people want to hate Colin so much that they started to pair him with Penelope immediately, wanting him to court her, to get engaged to her.

Would Colin ever let it get that far? Truly?

Colin needs something to push him in the right direction, sure. Pen can have a few dances and promenades with Debling. But do we really need to see Debling and Pen go farther than that? Pen doesn't even want that. She is only out for a husband this season. She wants security.

My favorite part about Colin and Pen is that they are only about each other. They are each other's biggest support. The idea that Colin needs to suffer through watching a Pebling engagement doesn't make sense to me. He doesn't need to repent for the sin of telling a group of gentlemen that he would not court Pen when he was not considering courting any woman at that moment. He is going to feel incredibly guilty and apologize, give Pen flirting lessons and see the real Penelope now that she is not trying to be this girl she thinks he wants, and the moment his ass is kicked into gear by the mere suggestion of Pen marrying someone else, he's going to win her back.

Penelope never needed anyone's attention but Colin's, anyway.

IDK what the point of this was, other than to get my thoughts out into one place and try to give words to this irritation I feel when I see another post about how Colin doesn't deserve Penelope, or saying that Debling seems like such a nice guy, or wanting Colin to go through hell before he can 'win' Penelope's affection.

It's just not how I see their dynamic. It feels too toxic when their love is based on mutual respect and friendship and support. They trust one another enough to show their full selves, even when they have been overlooked their whole lives.

But I know other people have different life experiences that inform how they see Polin. This isn't meant as a chastisement of people who do want Pen to eagerly receive attention from Debling (or anyone other than Colin, for that matter). It's just me trying to gather my thoughts about the whole situation. Ship who you want or whatever, just maybe think about why you want to see Colin make herculean efforts to 'earn the right' to Pen's love.

Ok, listen, I just finished episode 4 of Heartbreak high, and I know I still have half of the show to go and maybe I’m still missing a lot of information, BUT HOLY SHIT, FUCK HARPER. (Again, I can only imagine what really happened to her, and it was probably really bad, and I’m not saying she doesn’t deserve simpathy for whatever went down.) Honestly, even after knowing what really happened to her, if I was Amerie, I would NEVER forgive her. First Dusty, then Malakai, and with the letting her take all the blame on the map, and then not telling her what happened so she feels fucking guilty without knowing the full truth (ok, this one maybe not so much, cause she’s allowed to not be ready to talk about things). Dude. For real. Harper is a shitty person, from the one sided perspective that I have of her so far. I’m so fucking angry. Cause I would not go after Malakai in that situation either, the boy was clearly in a state and he screamed on her face, I would’ve run the other way man. And then, stupid grungy couple take him home, just to get him high and fuck him? Are yo fucking serious? Malakai needed help, needed to be taken to his own home, needed to talk about what happened, maybe cry a little on a friend’s shoulder, not a goddam  drug induced threesome. Like, Dusty is clearly an idiot, we got that, I’m not surprised by him thinking it was a great time to fuck his friend who was having a crises, but Harper??????? Dude. Fuck this girl. 

Sorry, the end of this episode made me so fucking mad I had to rant somewhere to get those feelings out of my body.

I took a big step tonight. I talked with my mom about how I think I'm on the autism spectrum.

She was like 'oh yeah basically everyone already thought that a decade and a half ago we just didn't tell you and none of your childhood doctors would do an assessment' and I got so mad. Like, why would yall keep that for me for so long?? Like you just didn't think I should know this thing about myself that directly effected the way I live? Effected the support structures I need and have been denied?

I am fucking livid that the people who allegedly care about me the most left me out to flounder around and fail for so long and have largely done nothing to try to help me.
