masterlist - part one
Tumblr media
I tried my best to tag as many people!
The long awaited part two! I'm so sorry if this doesn't live up to your guys expectations! I really felt like so much people were waiting for a part two and I've been so busy, but hopefully you all enjoy!
Tumblr media
You were like a shot of espresso, a ray of sunlight and one would be so lucky just to even be in your presence.
That's how he saw it at least. The gummy smile that was glued on your face as you listened to Megumi's silly stories he'd make up just to entertain you.
Wherever you stepped foot, the mood would lighten drastically.
He knew that because if you were here with him right now, Megumi wouldn't be crying his heart out begging his dad to call you. Toji wouldn't be struggling to fall asleep as he looked at your side of the bed imagining you there. He wouldn't be crossing his fingers hoping that every notification on his phone would be you.
"The princess and prince got married and lived happily ever after." You smiled as Megumi watched you close the book in awe. His cheeks were painted with a light pink, "You and Daddy?" You couldn't help but giggle at cute sleepy Megumi.
"No..." You whispered, noticing his eyes getting heavy.
Toji's eyes shifted towards you and his baby boy on the shared bed, Megumi of course having one of his fits and you never being able to say no to him. His heart felt heavy, hearing the cold truth slip from your mouth.
"You've been out of it Fushiguro..."
There he was back to reality in his cold—big office. Standing in front of him was Shiu, his best and his closest employee. "Zenin." Toji corrected which caught Shiu by surprise. Toji was proud to have his wife's last name, yet here he is using his last name.
No wedding ring? Shiu thought to himself, looking at Toji’s empty fingers. But in fact his fingers were not empty, because there sat the dark purple promise ring you had gotten him for your third year anniversary. Shiu smiled to himself, he was moving on—for the better.
“You and Y/n are doing better, I guess?” He sighs, taking a couple steps towards his boss’s desk and plopping himself on the chair in front of him. His smile fading hearing the vague no, coming from his boss.
“She left actually, but it’s better this way.”
“Is it?”
“No, it’s not.” You smiled as the soft yellow light from the candle illuminated onto your face. How Toji’s heart melted when he saw that little sparkle in your eyes. “I actually love kids.” Your eyes shifted to the little stroller after Toji mentioned how stupid it was to try to go on dates as he had a whole baby.
“It’s been rough ever since my wife passed.”
He remembers that look on your face when he told you how recently his wife had passed. It was the first date, he brought his son and mentioned his dead wife. There was no way he would ever see you again after that. But he was wrong because you always found your way back.
“Daddy—gumi hungry!” The little boy pouted as Toji noticed the burning smell of the food. It had been way too much now, spacing out every chance he had just to think about you.
Where are you?
Are you okay?
He wonders if you’re doing better now that you left him.
Probably, right?
Wrong.
“You need to clean this place up, it’s a mess y/n.” Your mom says entering your small apartment. The tiny cans of energy drinks scattered around the place, tissues and a pile of blankets on the couch.
She sighed watching your frail body sit up from the couch, her arm wrapped around your body and she placed small kisses on your forehead.
“It’s gonna take a while to get back on his feet. When your father passed away, it took years for me to officially realize that he was gone y/n.”
That’s what hurt the most, how long was Toji willing to take to realize? What if he forgets about you?
“Go back to your daily life, my baby he will call you when he’s ready. I see the love in his eyes.” She smiled once more before bringing you closer in her embrace.
This is what you needed.
The embrace of someone else’s while your life was slowly changing.
His thumb hovered over your contact. His hands shaking as the tears swell in his eyes. It’s been well over six months since the break up.
Toji was more than ready.
He was just afraid now, afraid of the fact that the women he had a past with moved on and would reject his return.
His thumb firmly pressing the dial button as he brings his phone up towards his ear. He could feel his throat closing and his stomach churning.
“Hello?”

Dean Winchester x Reader
When you and Dean get hit with a powder on a hunt you're not sure what's gonna happen until you get stuck in an elevator
It's smut yall
It all happened so fast. One minute you, Sam and Dean were chasing a witch through an old warehouse the next she'd turned, throwing an orange, fruity scented powder all over you and Dean just as Sam got the kill shot.
Your eyes met Dean's as both of you were struck with the realization something was wrong. You could hear your own heartbeat, every inch of your body felt like it was on fire and you were acutely aware of the green eyed hunter clenching his jaw tightly against his own pain to ask if you were ok.
“What the hell is this Sam?” You asked, turning to look at the younger Winchester who'd smartly stood a few feet away from the two of you. “I have no idea” the fire that had been contained on your skin chose that moment to rip through your stomach, nearly making you double over. Dean rushed to your side but the moment his hand touched your back it only made the fire worsen, a groan escaping his lips as well.
“You two go back to the hotel. I'll call Rowena in and we'll figure it out” you glanced over at Dean who nodded “Yeah, ok Sammy. Just watch your back until red gets here”
Tumblr media
Every bump the impala hit shot straight through you. Every nerve ending was on fire and the heat between your thighs was getting worse with every passing moment. It took everything you had to concentrate on anything besides the movements of Dean's fingers on the steering wheel. The thought of those fingers on you, his hands splayed across your body, those damn lips of his tasting your skin. What the hell was going on with you?
You'd always been attracted to Dean, you had eyes. He was a gorgeous man, sweet, caring and no matter how he saw himself a truly good person at his core. You had feelings for him beyond friendship but had never once considered acting on them yet now the only thought you had was what would he feel like inside of you?
—-----------------
Dean was trying to concentrate on the road, clenching every muscle in his jaw hard enough there was a chance he'd cracked a tooth. The fruity scent of that powder still clung to the air but under it he could smell you. The shampoo you preferred, the scented lotion you loved. Every damn bump he hit a low moan would slip from you and his cock would twitch at the sound.
You were a beautiful woman, an amazing hunter and one of the most important people to him. He'd always wanted you, wanted more but wouldn't risk it yet now all he could imagine was having you underneath him.
Tumblr media
You followed Dean into the hotel about the time a loud crack of thunder went through the sky and what seemed like hell itself unleashed. “Fucking tsunami” Dean muttered, heading for the elevator.
You stepped in behind him, shaking slightly. Your legs felt like they were made of jello at that point. Your heart rate was higher than it normally was on hunts and you were certain the slick from your core was dripping down your legs at that point. You fell back against the wall, taking deep breaths and trying to ignore Dean's breathing.
You closed your eyes when the elevator began to move but it only went six floors then screeched to a halt. Your eyes flew open “Dean?” He shrugged “I'm trying sweetheart, I'm trying” he was hitting the emergency call button repeatedly.
You slid down to the floor, sitting with your knees drawn up to your chest in hopes to soothe the ache throbbing through you. You vaguely heard Dean curse something about a rolling blackout but couldn't care less. The fire, the heat, everything was starting to hurt. You had to get a release “Dean?”
You knew you sounded wrecked but you didn't care you needed it, you needed him. He knelt in front of you and one look in his eyes told you he was barely hanging on himself “I want you” you whispered and he groaned “Sweetheart, baby please don't say that”
You looked up at him and he swallowed hard “I'm barely hanging on here” you leaned forward “Then let go” the moment his lips crashed into yours the heat roared back to life.
Everything in you was screaming that this was Dean, your best friend, your best friend who had never shown interest in you but it didn't matter because if you didn't do something for relief you'd die here in this elevator.
—-----------------
Dean grabbed your ankle and gave a tug, pulling you down onto your back where he could move to be between your legs. Hovering over you he took a few deep breath “Sweetheart” you shook your head “Shut up”
—-----------
When you pulled him back into another kiss, hooking your legs around his waist Dean felt what resolve he had crumple. Whatever was happening it demanded you. It craved you and he was powerless to fight it.  His hands went to the hem of your shirt and you broke the kiss long enough to snatch it off and throw it. His lips went from yours, down your neck then he started to kiss down your chest “I need more Dean, fuck it hurts and I need more”
He knew what you meant. He was hurting. His cock was harder than it'd ever been and the fire, fuck the fire nipping through his body. He had to help you first, had to get you somewhat level headed. He nodded then lowered his lips to your stomach.
He used one hand to unsnap your jeans and then slipped it inside, he moaned into your skin at the feeling of the warm moisture he found seeping from your pussy. You were soaked and responsive to the point that a barely there flicker of his fingers made your back arch off the floor. “Please”
He freed your body of your boots and jeans faster than he'd ever undressed himself even. He took a moment to sit back on his heels and look at you. A brief moment of clarity telling him to stop this, he could handle the pain but what if you regretted him when this was over? “Dean it hurts please help me” you begged and that was all it took. He licked into you in one fluid motion and your fingers tangled in his hair “Yes, fuck Dean”
—------------
Dean began to work you towards an orgasm, flicking his tongue against your clit while he added a finger, curling it up to hit that spot inside of you. The pleasure began to push back against the pain and you found yourself unashamed as you ground your hips down against Dean's face. Your moans urged him on and when he shifted just slightly that blinding heat gave way to pleasure. He worked you through the orgasm and you could feel the pain roll back a bit.
When you became too sensitive you weakly shoved at his head. He pulled away and smiled up at you “Feeling better?” You nodded “Wanna take those jeans off?” His smile slipped into a grin “Yes ma'am”
—--------------
Dean slipped his jeans, shirt and boots off before tucking his shirt under your head as a makeshift pillow. Even if this was something pushing you two to do this he was going to make you as comfortable as possible. His hand shook slightly and he wasn't sure of the cause of it but you underneath him, all spread out and begging made that heat roar to life.
He held your eyes as he slipped into you, both of you groaning at the feeling. Once he was fully inside of you he stilled, his muscles shaking with the urge to take you hard and fast. He could fight this enough to be gentle, to make it amazing for you. It was the only hope he had for you to not hate him when you were both clear headed.
Your eyes focused on him and you smiled “Fuck me Dean, please” he caught your lips in a hungry kiss “Oh sweetheart you're gonna be the death of me”
—----------------
Dean buried his face in your neck as his thrusts got harder and deeper. You were so close to that edge you just needed a little more. Without you having to say anything Dean slipped a hand between your bodies, rubbing tight circles on your clit. Your back arched, pressing your breasts up into his chest as you came with a loud moan of his name.
Once your vision cleared a bit you could feel Dean holding back. He needed to come, he needed that release from the heat, the pain. “Come for me Dean. Please” you begged, tightening your grip on his shoulders and spreading your legs further to give him deeper access.
You could feel his thrusts get harder and knew he was close. He pulled his face up to catch his lips in a kiss. You poured everything you'd always felt into the kiss, trying to tell him you'd wanted this for years that it wasn't just magical shit forcing the two of you to do this. You wanted Dean, you wanted to feel him come inside of you, you wanted to be his.
He groaned into your mouth as he slammed into you one final time and you felt him come filling you up.
—---------
You lay there for a few moments, Dean's now softening cock still inside of you as you both worked to get your breathing back to normal. Both of your heads were cleared now, the effects having worn off.
“Dean I..” your words were cut off by Dean's phone ringing. He pulled out of you gently before retrieving his phone. You could only hear his end which consisted of “Yeah we figured that out….just what it sounds like Sam…..what?...That's not..yeah ok…. I know….I know”
He hung up then looked at you where you were now slowly slipping back into your clothes. He did the same but when you started to tie your boots he knelt down and tied them for you. Neither of you had spoken the last few minutes.
When he stood up he reached for your hand and you gave it to him. He pulled you into his chest, wrapping both arms around you “Sweetheart” yet again the two of you were interrupted by the elevator choosing that moment to start working again.
Tumblr media
You stayed in Dean's arms until you reached the tenth floor. You stepped off first and he watched you carefully. What was going through his head? What was going through yours? You'd figured out it was sex pollen. A few hunters had run across different variants but the cure was always to fuck it out your system. It was never meant to kill but would if you didn't give in.
You stepped off the elevator first and Dean walked off behind you. You headed for the conjoined rooms you, him and Sam had gotten. You could feel the heat from him at your back but this time it was a very human feeling.
—----------
You unlocked the door to your room and was about to step inside when Dean's hand grabbed your arm. You looked at him and he took a deep breath “That was..” “Sex pollen, I know. I know that's why that happened”
He shook his head “No, sweetheart you don't. The pollen may have caused it but it wasn't just the pollen”
“What are you saying Dean?” You asked pulling your arm away from him to cross it over your other arm. “I'm saying I tried to hold off as long as I could because of how much I care about you, how long I've wanted to do that. I just, I hope you don't hate me now”
You shook your head “I couldn't hate you for us saving both our lives. I couldn't hate you for anything, I care about you way too much”  he half smiled “Care about me like you care about Sam or?” You cut him off by pressing a quick kiss to his lips.
You stepped back and shrugged “Care about you like if you want to try this between us for real I wouldn't be opposed to it” a grin slipped onto his face “I want you for a lot longer than a day or two” you returned his grin “Good cause it's gonna take a long time for me to get sick of you”
Before you could say anything else Dean stepped closer and picked you up, his hands bracing under your thighs. You gasped lightly and he grinned “Sometimes witches aren't too bad I guess, if they got me you”  you laughed "Oh shut up and take me inside"

Toji Fushiguro x Fem!Reader
Warnings: NSFT, MDNI, Cheating (remember cheating isn't cool guys <3), Drinking, Size kink, P in V, Nipple Play
Mentions: Lingerie, Failing marriage
An: Hey babes <3 welcome to the Valentine's collection. I'll be posting a series of spicy and romantic fics this week. I intend to make this a tradition of doing different characters each year.
----
You couldn't believe this! It was Valentine's day and your husband hasn't acknowledged it. He kissed you this morning before he left for work and that was it.
There's no way he forgot because you said it just yesterday, even agreed on plans. But, here it is, almost 7pm and he was still at work according to his text. You couldn't help but sigh as you sat alone in the apartment.
You can't say you didn't see this coming, your relationship has been a little rough. Mostly due to his absence but that's besides the point.
You brush down your carefully picked outfit you'd put on. Feels like it's going to waste now. You get up and step outside of your apartment, maybe you would just go do something on your own. Just for the sake of getting fresh air is what you tell yourself.
Then a stroke of luck, your apartment neighbor walks back from checking his mail. Toji and you were friendly. He was a single man and nice enough, plus you appreciated his honesty sometimes. He also likes the way you make cookies and jello shots, neither your husband appreciated.
"That color looks good on you" Toji chimes in as he notices you, that cocky smirk on his lips. You can't help but smile a little "Well, thanks Toji. I'm glad someone can appreciate it." You scoff, yeah, maybe you were a little bitter.
"Oh? Is he not home yet?" He asks, in reference to your husband "Oh it's worse! He's not here and he's barely acknowledged me all day. Would it kill him to at least send flowers or something?" You pout as you brush a hand over your hair.
Toji scoffed "What a piece of work" he smirks as he looks at you "Why don't you come in for a drink? I'd hate to let such a pretty thing waste away all night on a man who can't appreciate it" he suggested, and you were more than happy to oblige.
Toji let you in, his apartment was cleaner than you thought. He fixed you both a shot while giving you something to chase it with.
You sigh as you down the shot and sip on your chaser to soothe the burn.
Toji downs his shot with ease as he looks over at you "Oh come on, princess. Don't be down...you get to spend the evening with me" he smirks and you can't help but chuckle at how cocky he is. Although, he has every right to be.
Toji is huge, he's tall with muscles for days. He has a dominating aura, he was overwhelming. You liked it, maybe a little more than you should for someone who's married.
You haven't bothered to check your phone. Toji had you laughing, drinking, and forgetting about the shitty day you were having. His hand on your thigh as he rubbed it with his thumb. The simple action had you feeling a pulse in your panties.
"You know, I don't know why you don't have a date tonight" you chuckle "Oh? You think I'm that charming?" He teases "If not charming, then at least a girl would come home to get some action" you add softly.
Toji can't help but let out a deep chuckle "That's fair, princess. But I can't see why your loser husband would miss out on you".
"Why? Would you do different?" You smile as you lean in a bit closer to him. It was probably the alcohol making you this confident.
Toji smirked as he moved his hand to wrap around your waist. "Of course I would, princess. I wouldn't miss the chance to spend time with you...to kiss those pretty lips of yours...to push those pretty lacy panties aside" he says in a low tone, one that has you pressing your thighs together.
"Yeah?..." You respond breathlessly.
"I'm not gonna touch you, princess. I don't want you to hate me" he chuckles "I could never" you lean in close. "Are you drunk?" He asks "No, I promise" you say sternly.
Toji carefully cups your cheek with his strong and large hands. "Please, Toji..." You beg softly, looking up at him.
Toji groans "You're gonna get me in so much trouble, princess".
Toji leans in and kisses you gently, you don't hesitate to kiss him back. He moves his hands to your waist, his big hands practically covering your hips. You tangle your hands into his hair as you swipe your tongue along his bottom lip. Toji doesn't hesitate to let your tongue inside, he tastes the alcohol on your tongue and it's addicting.
He picks you up and pulls you into his lap, trying not to break the kiss. He sets you down, right against his cock. You moan into his mouth as you feel his cock press against you through your clothes.
Toji pulls away from the kiss, saliva connecting your lips.
"You're so pretty..." he rasps as his hands slide up under your shirt. You arch into his chest at the feeling of his hands on your skin.
"Thank you, Toji" you speak softly as you feel his hands undo your bra. "Of course, princess." He tossed your bra to the side as his hands cup your breasts, fondling them, and teasing your nipples.
"Mm- Toji~" you moan as he fondles you. "You've got such nice tits, princess. Your nipples get hard so easy...or is that because it's just me?" He teased with a small chuckle.
"Yeah, it feels so good" you moan as you begin to grind your hips into his hard cock. Between the bit of alcohol and lustful haze, you weren't really sure your words made any sense. You just know you wanted Toji to keep touching you.
Toji didn't waste much time, the next moments almost felt like a blur to you. His hands are prying off your clothing as you do the same to him. He lets out unrestrained moans and groans as he stuffs you full of his cock.
"Tojiii~ So...fuckin big" you moan as you're scratching into his back. He grunts in response "You feel so good, princess. You're man is really missing out..." He chuckles breathlessly "I'm so glad that the pretty lingerie you bought didn't go to waste~" he rasps, not missing the lacy set you were wearing when he tugged off your clothes.
It doesn't take long before Toji has you toppling over the edge. His hands leaving marks on your hips as he let you cum all over his cock. Sinful moans and lewd noises filling the room.
As much as he wanted to fill you up, leave his cum dripping out of you when you left to go back to your husband, he settled for pulling out and cumming on your stomach. You whine, you almost sounded disappointed.
Toji chuckled as he leaned in and kissed you "What is it, princess?". You kiss him back but slowly pull away as you look up at him. "You could have finished inside...I'm on the pill" you say softly "Well, I didn't know you wanted to prove such a point to your shitty husband" he chuckled.
You flipped yourself over on the couch, your tits pressing into the sofa with your ass up and soaked pussy on display. "You wanna do it again?" You ask sweetly, looking back at Toji. Toji groaned as he felt his cock immediately get hard again. "You're such a dirty little princess, aren't you?" He smirked.
His hand came up and rubbed along your folds before lightly slapping your pussy. You let out a whiny moan in response.
Toji doesn't hesitate to stuff you full of him again. His cock always hits the deepest and most sensitive parts of you, the ones that have you pulsing around his cock within minutes.
He holds your hands behind your back, his figure easily towering over you. It only takes one of his hands to keep both of yours pinned behind you. You can't help but moan out for him into the apartment, absolutely sure someone must hear this.
"You're so pretty like this...bent over, taking my cock, drooling into the cushions. Nobody has ever fucked you this good, hm?" He teased as he lightly slapped your ass, earning him another needy moan.
"No no, nobody has ever fucked me so good~" you stutter out as you press your hips back into Toji when he slaps your ass.
"Awe, poor thing. Don't worry, you can always come over when you need it" he says lowly, his voice having you tightening around his cock.
"Toji- I'm close" you whine out as you grind back into him. Toji moves his hands so they're both firmly holding your hips. He starts thrusting more roughly into you, pounding against your poor cervix.
The action leaving you a moaning and whiny mess beneath him as you babbled his name into the cushions. Then you practically screamed as you came- no, squirted on his cock. Toji relished the sight of you as he thrust into you a few more times before pressing right against your sweet spot and cumming inside you.
After a few beats, Toji slowly pulls out of you. He flips you over, dragging you into his chest as both of you try to catch your breath.
"Do you wanna take a shower?" He asks softly as he reaches over and cups your cheek, his thumb brushing over your cheekbone. "The night is still kind of young, we could get some shitty takeout and have a few more drinks..." He rasps and you can't help but blush a little. "I'd like that..." You smile in return...
The following morning, you return to your apartment with little guilt or shame, considering the fact your husband didn't text you all night.
Maybe you should be looking into divorce papers, Toji seemed like he never wanted you to leave. Maybe he'd welcome you into moving in?

"Are you not worried about that?"
"Worried about what?" Everything seemed to be going fine today, you're not sure what your cousin was getting at. Your eyes lingered on him briefly before refocusing on the food in front of you. This food stall wasn't going to run itself after all.
Malachi shot you an incredulous look while gesturing at you, "That! The whole-ass man on your back!"
"Oh, that's just Luffy. He's excited to see me after being gone for awhile, that's all." You suppose the prolonged piggyback ride was a little odd to see. Not that it bothered you much, Luffy was surprisingly light.
"Why are you talking about my ass? That's dumb. Of course I have a whole ass," Luffy's head lifted from your shoulder and you could see him sticking his tongue out at your cousin from the corner of your eye.
"It's just an expression, Luffy," his attention is quickly drawn back to you when you held up a skewer of expertly roasted meat. "Here, the marinade is a new recipe. What do you think?"
You barely get the chance to finish the sentence before his head snaps forward and inhales the meat like a starving man, even though he last ate approximately seven minutes ago when he decimated the previous batch. His teeth grazed your fingers and you withdrew your hand, "Easy! How am I supposed to make your food if you eat my fingers?"
Luffy swallows the mouthful, including half the stick much to your cousin's horror, and grins at you, "Sorry!" His hand juts forward and grabs two more skewers off the grill, "These are really good, (Y/N)!"
"Are you really just gonna let him eat all the food?" Malachi huffed.
You slapped his arm, "Be nice! He's the whole reason you can even come over to visit now. If it weren't for him, those marines would still be taxing us all to hell and barring other people from stopping by and seeing how bad everything was."
Those bastards kept everyone poor while also draining the island of its natural resources. After they left, it was honestly shocking to see how much food your home had to offer when it wasn't being ravaged. Before Luffy's help, you would only be able to operate the food stall for a couple of hours a day because of how little food you were allotted. Now you could run it from sun up to sun down if you so pleased.
Malachi rolled his eyes, "I guess that's true. Don't get why he's only bothering you, though. There are several places to get food around here."
Luffy answered for you, "Because their food is the best here!" The compliment came from him so naturally, as if it were the most obvious thing in the world. You couldn't help the genuine smile that pulled at your lips.
His rubbery limbs squeezed you a little tighter, "I wanna eat this every day! You should join my crew!"
All you did was chuckle, this wasn't the first time he made the proposition. You took a brief break from rotating skewers to pat the arm wrapped around your chest, "I can't do that. I need to help my family run this place, remember?"
The pirate slumped against you and whined dramatically, "Come on, please?! Can't that guy help them instead?"
While Malachi was certainly helpful, he was only ever here temporarily. His parents lived on a different island and he didn't like to leave them alone for long.
You shook your head, "No, Luffy. He has his own family to help out, he's going home in a couple of days."
This wasn't enough to deter him, he pressed further, "Why can't they hire someone else? I want you on my crew!"
"It's a family business, and my parents want to keep it that way. Besides, I'm sure Sanji can make these just as well as I can." If not better.
"It's different when you make it! Plus I want you on my crew because I like you, not just for the food!" His neck stretched so he could look you in the eye while making the most pitiful face you've ever seen.
Malachi slammed a hand down onto the counter, "They said no, drop it already!"
That definitely caught both of your attentions, as well as drawing the eyes of some passersby. "Hush! It's fine, he doesn't mean anything by it, you need to calm down," you scolded him.
He looked like he wanted to say more, but his irritated expression went cold. His eyes widened and he abruptly took a few steps back while staring at Luffy.
You look down to try and figure out what's got him acting like that, but find no answers. Luffy had already gone back to staring at you with an innocent look on his face as if he was just as confused, "Machete is weird."
"Yeah, he is," you conceded while snorting at the incorrect name. It seems like Luffy hasn't gotten any better with names since the last time you saw him.
"It's Malachi, and I think I'm the most normal person here." He untied his apron and hurried out of the stall, "We're almost out of meat, I'm going to go get more."
"Alright, thank you!" You called after him. Your family home was just up the hill, he wouldn't be gone long.
Luffy's head settled back on your shoulder as you readjusted him, and he sighed. With all the food eaten, both of his arms were securely wrapped around your torso again. His fingers toyed with your shirt collar, "Please join my crew?" His voice was uncharacteristically quiet.
He sounded so morose that it tugged at your heart strings. It was flattering that he was so dead set on keeping you around, but it wasn't easy to just up and leave your whole life behind. Still, you couldn't bring yourself to turn him down outright again, "I'll think about it, okay?"
He shot up instantly, "Really?!" You were crushed against him in the tightest hug of your life while he nuzzled his head into yours. The second he was done, he let go and finally got off your back, "Awesome! I'll go tell Franky to make a bed for you!"
"I just said I'd think about it, I didn't say yes!" Your attempt to backpedal did nothing, Luffy had already taken off and was sprinting to the docks. You doubt he heard you.
"Oh boy," you heaved out a sigh as you dumped some more skewers into water to soak. "I hope that doesn't come back to bite me."

It had been a regular day at Abbott Elementary; a lovely blend of chaos, humour, and heartwarming moments. You had gotten to school an hour early that day, which left you with the much-needed time to prep your classroom for your students, and most importantly, brew a cup of coffee.
Upon entering the breakroom, you noticed that you weren't the only one who arrived early–Melissa's gaze turned away from the news on the television and focused on you. "Ey, Good Morning early bird. How's it going?" she greeted.
"It will be much better when I wake up with some caffeine. How about you?" you replied.
"Ah, you know Tesoro, I'm feeling quite good but maybe it's the anticipation of seeing you."
You blushed profusely–Melissa never failed to make you blush. The attraction you had for her was so strong, she was always on your mind. Contrary to your belief, but obvious to every single teacher at Abbott, Melissa felt the same about you. She loved to make you blush every chance she got. However, Mel had no idea you felt the same way about her, so she just playfully flirted with you; she didn't push any further since she didn't want to ruin your existing friendship.
"Mel, you're such a sweetheart. I hate to cut this short, but I need to head back to my class and prepare for my students. I'll catch you later at lunch," you said, as you left the room with the biggest smile and your cheeks still pink and warm.
Tumblr media
As the weekend approached, anticipation buzzed through the halls of Abbott Elementary–the excitement for PECSA weekend was immense. The annual Pennsylvania Educational Conference for the Southeast Area was a time for teachers to come together to discuss their teaching, but truly, veteran teachers Barbara and Melissa were looking forward to the Math-a-ritas.
However, this year was different. Barbara knew you and Melissa were both whipped out of your minds for each other, and this predicament was quite frankly getting on her nerves. She knew she needed to intervene since the two of you would not get your heads out of your asses.
In the breakroom, the three of you were sitting in your usual places for lunch; Barb beside Mel, and you next to Mel, naturally.
"Well, is everyone excited for PECSA weekend?" Barb asks, humming in excitement.
"Of course," you state with a smile.
Barbara directed her attention towards you, "Which got me thinking... Maybe you should join us? It would be a shame to miss out on all the fun together."
"Oh, uh, I don't know..." you glance toward Melissa, a hint of uncertainty in your expression.
"I'd love to have you join us, Piccola. It'll be fun," Melissa adds.
"As long as I wouldn't be intruding," you reply hesitantly.
"Oh, trust me, you wouldn't be intruding at all! We'd be thrilled to have you join us. It's gonna be a blast, and the more, the merrier, right?" Barbara reassures you, "Plus, I've got a feeling Melissa would be thrilled to have you there."
As Barbara finished her sentence, Melissa shot her a playful scowl, her cheeks flushing slightly.
You couldn't help but grin at Melissa's reaction, feeling a flutter of excitement in your chest at the thought of spending more time with her outside of school. "Well, if Melissa insists, who am I to refuse?" you say with a playful wink.
Melissa rolled her eyes, though the smile tugging at her lips betrayed her true feelings.
Barbara knowingly chuckles at the exchange, pleased with herself for putting the beginning stages of her plan in motion. "Great! It's settled then. PECSA weekend, here we come!"
Tumblr media
The weekend has commenced and you found yourself packed and ready to go, excitement bubbling in your chest. When you heard a knock at your front door indicating Melissa's arrival to pick you up, you couldn't shake the nervous anticipation that swirled within you. The prospect of spending the weekend with Melissa was both exhilarating and nerve-wracking.
When you opened the door, your breath caught in your throat, "Hey Mel." It was a reflex; whenever you saw her, her mere presence always left you momentarily speechless.
"Ya ready to hit the road?" she asked, her smile infectious.
"Absolutely, thanks for picking me up," you state gratefully.
After you put your bag in the trunk and crawled into the back seat of the car, your voyage to PECSA commenced. The atmosphere was relaxed as Melissa took the wheel, with Barb in the passenger seat beside her. Without much time at all, the two of them fell into their all too recognizable banter.
Sensing the opportunity, Barbara leaned back in her seat with a glint in her eye. "You know," she began, her voice laced with humour, "I suggest that you all drop your vices and take a hit of my drug of choice — J.E.S.U.S. Street name: Christ" she exclaims.
Melissa raised an eyebrow, feigning offence. "Uh, you've been known to demolish those little bottles of Chardonnay."
"And you snort that liquid marijuana." Barbara countered.
Their teasing sent you into a choke of laughter. Although amusing, their witty remarks settled a familiar ambiance you all appreciated.
As you sank deeper into the back seat, you found yourself stealing glances at Mel in the rearview mirror, unable to resist admiring her effortless beauty. It is unfair that one could look as good as Mel, while simply operating a motor vehicle.
Once you reached the hotel and the car was parked, you and Melissa unloaded the luggage, while Barbara went to the front desk to get your room keys.
When you walk into the hotel, you are met with a concerned-looking Barb, "It seems there's been a mix-up regarding the number of rooms booked, and unfortunately, there are only two rooms available."
In reality, this mix-up was not an accident–it was part of Barb's master plan to push you and Mel beyond the boundary of friendship. "Apologies for the mix-up, everyone. Now, how should we-"
"We can share," Melissa cuts her off while linking arms with you.
You felt your cheeks flush with heat as you exchanged a nervous glance with Melissa. "Yeah, of course."
"Perfect, it's settled then," Barbara handed you the room key and winked knowingly at the two of you before heading off to her room, leaving you and Melissa standing awkwardly in the hallway.
Taking a deep breath, you turned to Melissa with a hesitant smile. "So, I guess we're roommates for the weekend."
Melissa returned your smile, her expression softening. "Yeah, looks like it. Should be interesting."
As your shoulders lightly brushed against each other, you both navigated the hallway, tracing the numbered signs until your room came into view.
As you both stepped into the hotel room, a peculiar realization dawned upon you–there was only one bed. Your heart quickened as your gaze involuntarily shifted towards Melissa.
"So, uh, any preferences on who gets the bed?" you asked, attempting to ease the tension that hung in the air.
Melissa responded with a nonchalant shrug, "Well, there's only one, so I guess we'll have to share. No one wants to sleep on the floor, right?"
Your heart skipped a beat at her words, but you tried to play it cool. "Right, makes sense."
You were doomed.
Melissa broke the silence with a suggestion, "How about we head down to the pool and grab some drinks?"
"I'm in," you replied without hesitation. You knew a drink would be necessary to steady your nerves, especially with the prospect of sharing a bed with the woman you were in love with.
As you descended to the poolside, Barb was already there, greeting you both with a playful smirk adorning her lips. "Well, well, well, look who finally decided to join the party," she teased, raising an eyebrow at the two of you.
After taking a seat beside Barbara, a server approached with a tray of drinks. Melissa swiftly snagged a couple of Math-a-ritas, passing one to you with a wink.
"Here's to PECSA weekend," she declared, raising her glass in a toast.
You clinked your drink against hers, a grin spreading across your face. "To PECSA weekend."
After a couple of drinks in your system, tearing your eyes away from Melissa became an increasingly grueling task. Bathed in the golden hue of the sun, she seemed to exude an otherworldly allure, her features accentuated by the gentle light.
It was as if every glance only served to deepen the spell she unknowingly cast upon you. From the delicate way she brushed a stray lock of hair behind her ear, to the infectious sound of her laughter, each moment spent in her presence seemed to send you further into the depths of your emotions. Melissa was more than just attractive; she was captivating, a force that left you unable to break free from the mesmerizing hold she had over you.
"Hey, you okay?" Mel asked, shaking you out of your trance with a hint of concern in her voice as she noticed your distant expression. She had caught you staring.
"Yeah, sorry about that," you replied, offering her a sheepish smile. "Just lost in thought for a moment."
Melissa grinned, her eyes laced with amusement. "Must have been some pretty deep thoughts," she teased, giving you a playful nudge.
You chuckled, as you felt a flush of embarrassment creep onto your cheeks. "Just admiring the view," you said, gesturing vaguely to the poolside surroundings.
Her laughter rang out, a melodic sound that filled the air. "Well, I can't say I blame you."
The rest of the evening passed in a blur of laughter and conversation between the three of you, but eventually, the time came for you and Melissa to retire to your shared room for the evening.
After preparing for bed, you found yourselves lying side by side under the covers, a palpable tension hanging in the air. Despite the deepening connection between you, there was an unspoken understanding that crossing certain boundaries could jeopardize the precious bond you shared.
Something unbeknownst to you, however, beneath Melissa's tough exterior lay a secret longing for intimacy–a desire to break down the barriers between you and bask in the comfort of your embrace.
To your surprise, as you lay there, you felt Melissa's arm snake around your waist. This caused you to immediately tense up, your heart pounding in your ears as conflicting emotions engulfed you. On one hand, you've always wanted this—longed for the closeness and affection that Melissa's touch promised. But on the other hand, her unexpected move left you feeling confused and uncertain.
As Melissa's warmth seeped into your skin, you couldn't help but wonder about the implications of her actions. Was Mel attracted to you? Or was this simply a gesture of platonic affection? The questions floated in your mind, but before you could voice your thoughts, Melissa shifted closer, her breath ghosting over your ear as she whispered softly, "Is this okay?"
Her words send a shiver down your spine, the tenderness in her voice melted away your doubts and fears. With a hesitant nod and a whispered "yes," you surrendered to her embrace, gently placing your hand atop hers, allowing the warmth and intimacy of the moment to envelop you.
As the night wore on, neither of you could sleep, your feelings occupying your minds and you couldn't take it anymore, in a moment of recklessness, you turned towards Mel so your chests were pressed against each other and your eyes locked. Your breath hitched as you lowered your gaze to her lips, savouring the sight of their softness, their allure drawing you in. When your eyes flick back to meet hers, you're met with dilated pupils, a silent invitation that ignited a firestorm of desire within you.
With a trembling hand, you slowly tangled your fingers into her fiery red hair, relishing the silky texture beneath your touch. Your heart pounded in your ears, the anticipation reaching a peak as you guided your mouths together with a hunger that bordered on desperation.
Melissa tensed at the suddenness of your action, and for a split second, you feared you'd made a mistake.
"Mel, I-I'm so sorry, I didn't mean-" But before you could apologize, she surprised you by pulling you back to her lips with an urgency that matched your own. The kiss was warm and passionate. And as you lost yourself in the intoxicating taste of her lips, you realized that this is where you were always meant to be—wrapped in her arms.
"I've been wanting to do that for so long," Melissa confessed after you broke apart, her voice barely above a whisper.
You couldn't help but smile, the weight of her words lifting a burden from your shoulders. "Me too," you admitted, your heart overflowing with emotion.
And as you lay together, wrapped in each other's embrace, you knew that this was just the beginning of a love that would last a lifetime.
Tumblr media
The morning light filtered delicately through the curtains, casting a soft glow upon the tangled sheets where you and Melissa lay intertwined. With a contented sigh, you shifted closer to her, savouring the rhythmic rise and fall of her chest against yours. As if stirred by your movement, her eyes fluttered open.
"Good morning," you whispered softly, brushing a stray strand of auburn hair behind her ear.
"Morning," Mel murmured, her voice husky with sleep as she tightened her embrace around you.
For a fleeting moment, you lay there basking in the intimacy of the morning, the outside world fading into insignificance.
"I could stay like this forever," Mel confessed softly, her breath warm against your neck.
Your heart fluttered at her words, a blush rising to your cheeks as you pressed a gentle kiss to her temple.
"I mean... I wouldn't mind that" you admitted shyly, your lips grazing against her skin. "But we should probably get up soon," you chuckled, the reality of the day's plans creeping back into your consciousness. "Barb will likely be waiting to have breakfast before we head home."
"Yeah, I know," Mel sighed, reluctantly releasing you from her hold.
"But can we stay like this just a little while longer?" she groaned, her voice laden with desire, before drawing you into a kiss that ignited with a slow ecstasy. Your lips traced a path to Mel's neck, planting a series of tender kisses that culminated in a gentle bite, eliciting a whimper from her.
As she trailed kisses down your neck in response, a soft moan escaped your lips prompting her to shift her focus. She captured your mouth with hers, her tongue delving deep into your mouth. Your hand instinctively slid up her back beneath her shirt, caressing and exploring the warmth of her skin. It took every ounce of willpower to pull away from her at that moment. You stare at her, both of your breaths coming ragged as you met Mel's gaze, both of you wide-eyed and flushed with desire.
"Mel... it's time to go to brunch," you managed, your voice strained with longing. "I can guarantee you, there will be more of this later," you added with a suggestive nod toward the tousled sheets.
"Fine," Melissa huffs, playfully rolling her eyes, but a smile still plastered on her lips.
But before she could get out of bed, you grabbed her arm, "I'm glad this happened you know," you confessed, your voice barely above a whisper. "I've seriously had my eyes on you since I started working at Abbott. I was losing it seeing you come into work every day looking so good and I had to pretend as if I didn't notice."
"Is that so... well, I'll be sure to give you something to notice next time we're at work," Mel smirks at you and smacks your ass as she untangles herself from you in favour of getting dressed.
Tumblr media
Later, at brunch, Barbara's eyes widened in surprise as she took in the scene before her. Her gaze flicked between you and Melissa, her lips curling into a mischievous smile as she noticed the telltale marks scattered across both of your necks.
"Looks like someone had a good night," she teased, her tone laced with amusement.
Confusion gave way to recognition as you noticed the purple bruises scattered across Mel's neck, and her eyes widened as she noticed similar marks on yours.
A silent understanding passed between the two of you as Melissa chuckled softly, leaning in closer to you as she reached for her coffee. "We may have gotten a little carried away," she admits with a wink.
Barbara laughed, shaking her head in amusement. "Well, I'm glad to see you two are finally getting your act together," she says, her tone affectionate. "It's about time."

Luis Sera Headcanon [Collab] SFW/NSFW
Tumblr media
Author note: hi everyone. I know it has been Ages but im back with a little gift for all of you and i collab with @sattiene my beloved <3 thank you so much for her input and help because it really helped me out get back in the mix of things. i really missed writing HC for characters soooooo ! My ask are now open! YEY!
anyways i'll let you enjoy this Hc!:
SFW HC:
Meeting you for the first time in the events of the Las Plagas incident, the first thing he says to you is:
"I just have one important question. Do you have a smoke?"
-
Manipulation through his puppy eyes.
“Oye, Senorita. Mind a smoke?” *insta puppy eyes*
-
Probably ‘almost’ fluent in French and would brag about it to you only (hmmm wonder why)
-
Grows every so fond of you when you laugh off his flirting towards you.
But what made him fall in love even more was when you suddenly started to flirt back.
He stutters, is flustered but quickly come back with another flirt (it's a war now)
One time, he was playing around with his lighter while walking, to which you added a remark:
“Hm.. Does this skill also apply in the bedroom?” You smirked.
The man was shooken (idk this isn't a word) and closed his lighter shut.
He shook his head and chuckled,
“There is only one way to find out, ay?” He said looking back at you.
Oh boy…
-
He tries to lighten up the mood as Leon isn’t much of a jokester.
And when you laugh at his jokes and Leon doesn't, he points it out:
“Ay, see Y/N likes my jokes.”
-
If you are imprisoned, you bet your ass Luis is gonna be your knight in shining armor.
You’ll scream to whoever, to get you out when it’s Luis that peaks his head and saves you his only comment will be:
“Oh so that's what you sound like, hm?”
Alternatively : You are captured and tied up unconscious. He is at your rescue once more and sees you tied up. He would whistle and look away for a minute, putting his fist close to his mouth before snapping out of it and helping you out.
When you wake you bet your ass he will hit you with the oldest pick up line to this day like:
"Oh chica. I've been told I look heavenly, but you're not in heaven yet."
-
Is it raining? No problem Luis is to the rescue:
“Where are my manners?” He says as he takes off his jacket and hovers it on top of your head.
-
Oh shit! A flight hatchet coming your way! But don't worry, again, Luis is at the  rescue,
Hugging you as he pushes both of you away and falls down.
Well now it's an awkward situation as you are now on top of him. You lift yourself to meet with Luis’ face closer than expected.
Of course he shots a flirtatious grin accompanied with his eyebrows raising up.
What he would do to get your attention or to be close to you i swear…
He is down bad for you that's for sure.
-
It's impressive when you see Leon in action, a break at the shooting range is always a great pause for everyone, which helps make Luis and you grow closer.
But the music made your feet tap to the beat and that, Luis noticed.
He gently grabbed your hand, waiting a few seconds to know if he was denied and when you didn’t reject his advance, dragged you to dance.
You giggled, you weren’t much of a dancer but the beat was so good and the moment was so right, it made you become one.
That was when you were charmed by him.
-
When you get separated, Luis will call you on the radio any chance he gets.
“Hola. Aaah I'm glad you picked up princesa. I’m at the ballroom, come over. We can continue our little dance. Don’t be late to the party!”
When you are a bit more separate from Leon and Ashley, you call Luis and you guys chat
“How's your search? Are you okay so far?” you asked. “Always so worried for me, lindura~” “I miss you too don’t worry” He adds.
-
He would scare you by hugging you from behind
Which ultimately ends in you pointing your gun at him
"Whoa whoa, cariño. chill. it's just me, your loverboy."
-
Would take pictures of you on his flip phone but the pictures are some of the worst moments of you looking surprised, zoning out, or sweaty with dirt on your face cause you were almost killed by a villager.
You ask him to delete it but nah this man puts it as his wallpaper and keeps it forever.
-
If you are infected with las Plagas, he becomes serious
Will still be flirtatious to calm his own anxiety
At the operation table, will hold your hand while killing the plaga
Would turn his head away as it is agony for him to hear you scream in pain
"I know, I know bebe. I'm here. shhh, shh,"
Let a tear fall and wipes it after the operation finish
Man, he thought he lost you!
-
But enough heart breaks!
The man is clingy! He loves you so much he always want you close
For example; you want to make breakfast for the both of you in the morning but no no no you are not escaping with his arms wrapped around your waist
"Nooooo, mi amor, stay," He whines in his morning voice.
Will be hugging you from behind while you cook breakfast.
You can feel his stubble tickling your neck
Everything is perfect.
-
The embodiment of chivalry
Opens doors for you, pushes your seat for you allllll the time.
NSFW HC
He is loud and not scared to be
Moan, groans, whimpers, yeah you are getting the whole service.
-
Service top/ dom
Mutters some Spanish when he is really really into it.
-
His foreplay is insane the man is a teaser;
Hand on your thigh just slowly but surely making his way through your core as he kisses your neck and tells you sweet nothing. (how could it not melt to that!)
-
You are always his top priority
Can go on for hour for your pleasure only (pls don’t make him pass out i beg you)
Cracks jokes if you are anxious, just to see you smile and relax, that’s already a win for him.
-
Mf does the petal of roses on the bed thingy on the special occasion (with scented candles ofc!)
Nice dinners and dancing before a night of love.
-
Sex isn't a shameful topic to him and will tease about it.
If you tease him back about his  performance he will backfire at you, its constant banter!
-
Weakness for lace in lingerie: He would fall weak if he slowly discovered you are wearing a set of lingerie while he takes off your clothes
“You wore this for me cariño.” and also will have his puppy eyes activated.
-
Would brag about you all the time and show that you are his girl as he marks you
He loves when you mark him, telling him you are his and that he is yours.
Covered with your lipstick is so hot to him, shows how much you love him.
Takes pictures of all the above
-
His biggest turn on? When you ride him.
Holy fuck does he love it so much, just digging his hands on your thighs and trusting at the same beat as your riding makes him melt.
You taste heavenly to him and he loves to eat you out
Face riding? Yes please!
Makes him so horny you bet that shit makes him precum.
-
Type of guy to continue slowly thrusting in when done cause God Damn you feel good, he doesn’t want it to end!
-
Not into the harcord stuff like BDSM and such but would be willing to try for you
“So you’re into that stuff ay..”
-
His favorite positions are any where he can see your beautiful face
-
He will never call you names like ‘slut’ and stuff “that's not a gentlemen’s ways”
-
You tried your best to please him first but Luis can’t hear any of that: “Ladies first” kinda treatment
“Why don’t we switch it up tonight, let me start with you~” you said as you pressed your fingertips on his pecks, going ever so slowly down.
He shook his head as he chuckled. “You know my policy mi amor” He takes your hand to wrap in around his neck as he positions you on your back while kissing you
I mean, you can’t resist him.
-
First time he makes you squirt, the man will be so proud of himself
Will use that fact against you in arguments: “didn’t you gush all over me last night?? yeah that’s what i thought.”
With a smug ofc
-
Tell you how beautiful you are especially while making you cum
-
Best aftercare, hugs, kisses, shower, and caresses.
The man Orders you to stay put when he cleans up, its “his mess not yours”

That's how it's done (Sam Kerr x Reader)
A/n requested
Tumblr media
The moment she strikes it, you know it's going in. The curl, the technique, the fact it was struck with such confidence despite being 30 metres out.
It curls perfectly, firing far past Cata Coll's outstretched glove, the net rippling with the full force of Sam's power shot.
1-0 to Australia. And just twenty minutes left of regulation time.
They'd been waiting months to see this, and you had to agree. Of course, it was never an expectation, only a hope and complete and utter faith in Sam and her teammates to take the world cup by storm.
Your screams and cheers are drowned out by the crowd around, the seventy-five thousand or so other people cheering just as loud for the star forward of the Matildas.
You were heartbroken for her when you found out about her calf. She'd called you the night before, tearfully whispering into the phone.
"I'm not gonna get to play for the first two games."
"What, why? What happened?"
"My calf, I got careless, and I tweaked it."
Your heart broke at not being able to be with her, to not be able to comfort her in person.
She held it together well for the others, but you knew it was killing her not being out there on the pitch.
So when she made her comeback, you were elated and more than happy to watch your girl run around on the pitch, free as ever and doing the work she loves the most.
The moment the goal is in, she's off in a run, slamming fist to her chest over the crest. Her teammates follow and when she spots you in the crowd, she takes off quickly towards you.
Her arms wrap around you, and without even questioning it, her lips meet yours hard.
Sam's grinning wide, her eyes shining with unshed tears as she pulls away from you.
"That's how it's fucking done, baby!" You yell out to her as she backs up.
The crowd around you are losing their minds. You hadn't been out to the world yet. It was something you'd both discussed but ultimately left it to finish with the World Cup first, not wanting to deal with the media behind it and any pressure it may add to your relationship.
You watch as she quickly returns to the lineup, but not without one last glance in your direction, a cheeky wink and salute, and one final wave to the crowd.
Of course, it got a little painful to watch her get her legs taken out from under every other minute. You winced every time she hit the turf, and as the ninety-minute mark crept, she had a harder and harder time getting up.
It's in the dying minutes of stoppage time that Spain gets their last and only chance to score. One corner is all it could take. You wait, tensing in your spot on the edge of your seat. The ball is sent in, and as expected, Mackenzie catches it, quickly running and sending a high and far lobbed ball to just end the game with.
What you don't expect is how far. It goes more astray than the Spanish were expecting, and Cata Coll, having moved into the opposing penalty box in hopes of scoring, is too far from her line to defend.
It flys far over the heads of the Spanish. And ricochets into the spanish net?
The looks of disbelief in the Australians' eyes are hysterical, and the celebrations are enormous as they all jump on their equally disbelieving keeper.
Mackenzie Arnold, first keeper to score in a World Cup final.
First ever goal from near the baseline of the opposing team. Your family around you are losing their minds, the crowd can hardly believe it themselves.
The whistle blows, not seconds after the game is reset. The Australians drop to their knees, some jumping up and down, sprinting to the group of their teammates now flooding the field.
They did it. They actually fucking did it. They won it all. At home. They won the fucking World Cup in Australia.
Your shoulders are shaken by several hands as you jump up and down beside Sam's siblings and her nephews.
You watch as Sam just collapses to her knees on the pitch, arms up, hands behind her head in what you assume to be utter relief and elation.
With the weight of the whole country behind them, you don't blame her.
You've seen how hard she works, you know how far she aims, you've been there on the tearful nights, the screaming and crying and release of bottled up emotion and tension from the pressure of the world on her shoulders.
So when she lets go of it all, tears stream down her face as the others scream and yell and cheer and bounce around in excitement, you expect it.
You're thankful she finally can let go of it all.
The stress, the tears, the expectation. It's all done.
The roar of the crowd around is insane. The sound drowning out any remnants of the outside world.
You watch as Sam gets dogpiled on, her teammates landing on her, screaming into her ears after the winning shot she scored. Cheering and yelling for their captain. Mackenzie is eventually yanked into her own pile.
The moment of pride you feel, one you've always felt in the past with Sam, is one of astronomical amounts now. Having the Kerr name splayed across your back, one day, splayed across the line of your marriage certificate and every other important document. Attached to your social media, attached to your name coming from people's mouths.
The green and gold jersey you're wearing has never felt more at home on you than now.
You've never been more proud of your girl for the comeback, the return, the firing up, the moment she achieved what she's been aiming for since she first kicked a soccer ball.
For completing a lifelong dream. Winning a World Cup. You were just along for the ride. And you'd never been happier to do so.
The players finally pull off her, standing up and separating to go about their own celebrations, a few moving to comfort the Spanish players, to which your hearts does break for quire a few of them.
You'd worked as a physio in Barcelona for four years for the FC Barca femini. You knew many of the girls well and as happy as you were for your country and your girlfriend. You were upset for the girls of La Roja too.
Seeing one of your best friends, Alexia, in tears, crouched with her head hung towards the ground, stung quite a bit. You were proud of them for coming this far, for doing it in spite of the asshole on the side of the pitch.
As much as your heart was torn between the two, your girl will forever have your heart first.
You'd met after her stint in Camp Nou for the champions league, and a few times after that when they versed each other. You eventually started dating after a Barca v Chelsea game in England.
Two years passed, and you made the move to London, taking up a position in a physiotherapy office, which you coincidentally came to find was the one her national teammate worked in while she was in London. Caitlin Foord.
You became fast friends, and now watching your other best friend win her first ever medal at a World Cup was just as ecstatic and elating.
As the celebrations continue, you spot Sam jogging over to the family and friends section. You step aside to let her nephews see her, but she isn't going for them. She strides right up to you instead.
"Baby, I'm so fucking proud of-"
You're cut off with a small squeak.
Her hands grip the collar of the jersey around you and pull you nearly over the barrier and into her. With one final questioning look in her eyes and a nod from you, your lips meet, of course she asks this time.
You can't stop yourself from grinning into the kiss, and it seems neither can she.
With all of the emotions flying, it doesn't surprise you that she's chosen now to reveal you to the world as hers. She's always been fiercly protective of you, not to mention a little possessive despite her usually laid back, playful nature.
So, presenting your relationship to the world was something she'd been thinking about doing for a while, but it was never the right time and she didn't want to add on to the stress of the looming World Cup, but now here you were, and here she was. World Cup winner.
And right now, in this moment, with the love she's pouring into the kiss, which you return with equal fervour, you're content with whatever outcome may happen after this.
When you break for air, she lets you relax a little the uncomfortable feeling of a barrier between the two of you getting to be a little much on your hips, which are protesting at the concrete constricting against them by now.
Your arms wrap around her, pulling her close to you, burying your nose into her neck as tears start to fall again.
You hold her for just a minute, and you feel the tension leaving her, her muscles relax as she just breathes you in.
She whispers in your ear, her breath hot on your neck and her voice a little shaky but otherwise makes you shiver slightly.
"You know, I don't think I tell you enough how much I enjoy seeing my last name between your shoulder blades."
You go to reply, but you're broken apart by her very insistent but adorable nephews, nearly climbing the barrier to get their favourite aunt.
Her sister gives you both a slightly apologetic look, but you instantly wave her off, happy to let the boys give the girl some love, too.
She steps away from the barrier, lifting them both up in her arms and walking back onto the pitch with them.
"Damn, they might actually steal my girl from me."
You joke, her sister chuckling and her older brother, Daniel, wrapping his arm around your shoulders.
"Yeah, don't worry, they steal Natasha from me when they visit too. They're too adorable for their own good."
"I'd be blissfully happy to let them have her honestly, she's so good with them."
Your heart races at the thought of your own kids in her arms someday.
Her sister Maddi nudges you softly.
"Watch those ovaries, they might burst."
You chuckle softly and give her a little nudge back.
"Yeah, they did that months ago. I love the way she is with them. Or just with kids in general, she's always so good to them."
"Thinking of some of your own some day?"
"I am. That's for certain. It's up to her, though. She's the one with an elusive career. I don't think we're ready right now, but maybe someday. If we do, I think I'd like them to see her get to hang up her cleats at the very least, witness their Mama's achievements."
Her sister just smiles down at you, a knowing look on her face.
"Think you'll marry her soon?"
You laugh a little at that.
"I hope so. She's got the ring buried in her gym bag. She's not as slick as she likes to think she is. But I'm happy to wait as long as it takes her to do it. Though, then again, I might propose myself in the meantime. I don't think my ovaries can take any more."
You gesture to Sam, throwing one of the boys in the air, making them laugh and squeal slightly before moving to kick a ball around with them.
"Honestly, if you don't, I think half the women in Australia would do it for you."
"Ha, make that half the women on planet earth. Have you seen some of the stuff they've tagged her in?"
"Yeeeah, I try not to. People thirsting over my sister is funny as hell but also gross. No thanks."
You throw your head back in a laugh.
"As expected."
Levi, Sam's other brother, pops his head in between you with a confused look on his.
"People do what over Sam?"
You give him a slightly incredulous look.
"Thirsting. Thirst over her? Really? You don't know?"
He shakes his head, a little weirded out.
"Your sister has been like, a few million gay womens' awakenings, did you not know that?"
"Uh, no, it's not exactly on the forefront of my mind."
You giggle and pat his cheek.
"You poor sweet innocent thing, don't ever change, whatever you do, don't look her up on tiktok. Or any social media for that matter. She made the mistake of doing it once. The look in her eye when I told her I used to be the one to browse that stuff too was freaking hilarious."
Maddi raises a brow at you.
"As far as I'm aware, you still do it, so you don't have a leg to stand on here."
You cackle at that.
"Hey, I'm not the one that makes them. I'm otherwise very happy to see slow-motion videos of my girlfriend's shirtless celebrations and backflips from the 2022 season."
Levi scrunches his nose.
"Gross."
You simply pat his shoulder and turn back to watch Sam and the award ceremony, watch as they all receive their medals, and as the confetti drops from the ceiling and out through the confetti cannons.
The screams of celebration and the shower of champagne afterwards are enormous. At that, you see the staff who are minding the two little toddlers take a few steps back with thema nd you chuckle softly.
She does eventually return the two boys to their mother, medal proudly splayed over her neck, and gives you one final kiss and hug, and you give her your congratulations before you all have to leave to head back to your hotels.
--------------------
The afterparty is enormous, and you'd forgone showering and changing in favour of getting to see Sam quicker.
The music is blasting through your eardrums, and you have to take a few shots to try and numb it down a bit and by the time the team arrives, it looks like they've already had a few drinks themselves.
Sam is one of the last through the door, walking in to cheers from the crowd of friends, family and other invited guests.
Your breath hitches when you spot her. The suit jacket and untucked button down paired with black slacks and her air force 1s make her usual 10, though now increased with the levels of tequila you just downed, turn into much higher attraction levels.
A few minutes of watching her as she makes her way around the room, accepting congratulations, hugs, and chances to have a drink with friends, she finds you.
You give her a small wink and cheer your cup mid-air at her as she makes eye contact with you, still enveloped in conversation with one of the managers from Football Australia. She, to your astonishment, knowing how bad some of the higher ups get, manages to excuse herself and slip past the incessant suits to move to you, leaning against the bar.
Her grip quickly finds your hips, wasting no time to have her hands on you once again.
"Hi, my champion."
"Hey, Gorgeous." The tone of her voice is definitely slightly slurred, and you know they hit it hard in the locker room so it's a little more obvious to you.
"How are you feeling?"
Her expression changes to giddy smile.
"Amazing, like I'm walking on air here."
You down the last of the vodka soda you have beside you.
"Good, because you're coming with me."
You drag her by the hand onto the half packed dance floor, slipping in between an already drunk Alanna and Macca and a hyped up Kyra and Charlie.
The music swirls around you as you quickly join the dancing people around you. Sam stands behind you, hands landing on your waist and moving with you. Her hips meet yours in a shameless grind, and your arm comes up to pull her head down into your neck, her lips tracing the muscle on their own accord.
Exhilaration of the win settles in your chests amongst the dancing bodies of the Matildas teammates, and the thumping vibrations of the beat rattle your ears.
Her breath is hot on your neck, murmuring words of encouragement as you rock back against her.
The rest of the night turns to a blur as you party with the team into the early hours of the morning.
It's just a few hours later when Sam's hand grabs your wrist, tugging you away from the rest of the girls. You'd moved to dance with Caitlin just ten minutes previously, sharing several bottles of champagne between the two of you, the alcohol only piling onto your own intoxication.
The girl was all too happy to drink the night away with her best friend.
You whine softly when Sam pulls you away from said best friend, Caitlin mildly protesting as well, but seeing the look in her captain's eyes, just raises her hands in defeat.
Though she does wiggle her brows suggestively at you when she sees the rest of Sam's expression, which is locked on you. You giggle and give her a joking salute as you're walked away from the dance floor.
You're dragged out of the party and around the corner to an alley, your back pressed into the brickwork.
The kiss following has your head spinning, and your girlfriends hands waist no time slipping under the front of your her jersey.
"Fuck, I can't get you in that jersey out of my head baby."
A mischievous smirk crosses your lips as she pulls back enough to mouth at your throat.
"Yeah? The thought of me with your last name on my back, huh? Like it when I'm labelled yours?"
A growl rumbles in the back of her throat.
"You have no idea."
You chuckle and tug her back up to your mouth again.
"Take me back the hotel and show me?"
--------------------
The beeping of an alarm the next morning makes your head throb, and you bury your face into the pillow below you with a groan.
The noise is quickly cut off, however, and a similar groan to your own joins the air of the hotel room.
Your eyes barely crack open, the spinning in your head setting in as you look around at the all too bright white walls mixed with the familiar bottle green of your girlfriend's national team uniform.
"Fucking christ babe, why the alarm at this hour?"
Sam barely responds from her spot buried beneath the covers beside you, her grumbling into her own pillow.
You shuffle across the mattress, moving to stand, but a hand on your wrist pulls you back. A soft whine from the forwards mouth makes you turn back to her.
"Stay, I don't have to be up til eight."
Knowing better, you check your phone on the bedside.
You curse suddenly, the night before a smatter of memories and ecstasies. As far as you could guess, you'd say it's only been about three hours since the two of would have hit the sack finally.
"Babe, it's 8:10. You definitely have to get up."
She's silent for a second, knowing you'd caught her bullshitting but doesn't move. You sigh softly and move closer to her.
"Alright, five more minutes, but we have to get up, we really don't want your teammates coming knocking again."
She hums and moves, so you're tucked into her chest, arm draped over your waist once again.
The warmth soothes your head a bit, and the nausea settles for now as you wrap yourself up in her.
You're happy to stay in the loving embrace for now. Lord knows she deserves the rest.
--------------------
Sorry guys, they're kinda getting worse, I am trying to keep them simple without rambling too long like I tend to do 😅
I'm taking my time with them though.
Hope y'all enjoyed.

Tumblr media
Your fingers strum to the beat of happy music in your head along his defined jawline. It's even stronger due to the smile on his face, so big it makes his cheeks hurt. The one of yours is even bigger though, if that's even possible, "How did I even manage to bag you," He thinks out loud, pressing a sweet kiss to your warming cheek.
"Dunno, I ask myself the same thing, Joey," you tease, earning an eye roll and scoff in response. Joe pinches your exposed hip at your cheap shot. "You were supposed to say something along the lines of, "Oh, Joe! You're so handsome and sexy. How ever could you ask that?!" He attempts his best impression of you, going as far as to flutter his lashes in your direction.
Now you're scoffing and landing a tiny punch on his shoulder, "I don't sound like that and who even talks like that?" This time, instead of responding to you, he kisses the crease from your eyebrows, "You don't and no one, just love getting a rise out of you, sweet girl."
Hiding your hot face in his bare chest, doing your best to shield yourself from anymore praise. If you here one more thing like that, it's definitely possible that you explode right here, right now. "Nooo, I wanna see your pretty face," he murmurs holding you face in his hands, making you look up at him, and pressing a long, slow kiss to your lips.
Joe loves seeing how easily he can fluster you, one of his favorite activities. It's completely his fault when you excuse yourself at event or team dinners because he just wont stop whispering the sweetest or nastiest things to you, just to see you flush or watch your breath hitch.
As he pull away every so slightly, putting just enough room for his breath to fan over your face as he whispers, "There's my girl, the prettiest ever." God, is it like a thousand degrees in here? It was difficult to come up with a response to that, especially when your mind goes numb and empty when he says the littlest of compliments.
"I'm gonna tell your mom you've just said that," you retort, "Go right ahead, I tell her and dad how gorgeous my girl is any chance I get."

There are two universal truths in life.
The first is that the coffee shop you frequent on your way to work will and will always have the best cold brew you’ve ever tasted. The second is that Jamie Tartt will and will always be a massive fucking prick, and you’ll never see him again for as long as you live.
These are two things you live by, and while they may seem rather mundane or petty in the grand scheme of things, they are the only truths you can count on these days. Especially when everything else is so up in the air.
However, the universe doesn’t seem to believe in these things as blindly as you do, and this becomes evident the moment that you step into the shop on a gloomy Wednesday morning. Because these two truths (well, they’re fucking bald-faced lies now aren’t they, huh?) are broken within approximately two minutes of each other with seven words.
It began when you greeted Natalia, the barista who was here every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday before your shift at the clinic with a wide smile. As soon as she saw your face, her expression turned apologetic, albeit a bit dazed.
“You’re gonna hate me,” she says, putting her hands on either side of the register. Your brows shot up at her words. “We just ran out of cold brew.”
Your face falls. “You’re kidding.”
“We were low on it this morning,” she starts to explain, “our stupid night-shifters didn’t prep enough last night. And it’s been selling like crazy today.”
“Seriously?” you nearly whine. “I might cry.”
“I’m sorry, Doc,” she apologizes, but she doesn’t sound too apologetic. Natalia’s eyes keep shifting to your left, the dazed look in her eye never faltering. Then, she says the fated seven words. “But he took the last of it.”
You turn your head in the direction she’s been looking, and your blood runs completely cold. You think you could drop dead and go to hell at this very moment, and it’d be a better existence than what awaits you in the next five minutes. And while this all may sound dramatic, you don’t care.
You don’t care because Jamie fucking Tartt is standing across from you, newly long hair peeking out from beneath his hood. He’s engrossed in whatever’s on his phone, fingers flying back and forth like he’s texting.
You think you could run. You’re pretty sure you could successfully make a break for it and leave Natalia high and dry without him seeing you. It’d be an easy exit, and you’d never have to see him again.
But then, as if he can feel your eyes on him, he looks up. And the second he meets your gaze, his face falls in what you can imagine was a similar fashion to yours.
Fuck.
Luckily, Natalia is none the wiser. She barely notices your expression, and with Jamie by the pick-up area, she can’t see the way he’s looking at you. So, instead of questioning you, she straight-up giggles.
“I know,” she practically squeals. “I was totally going to save you the last of it, but he asked for it. And I mean, c’mon. It’s Jamie Tartt. I couldn’t possibly say no to him.”
You tragically know that feeling all too well. Knowing you probably would have had a snappier, more cutting response to that if you weren’t in the most debilitating phase of shock, you settle for a quiet, “It’s okay.” You nod at her, brushing it off in an attempt to be casual. “I can settle for an espresso today.”
Natalia nods, tapping it into her register. “Same size as usual?”
“Yeah,” you say, not completely sure what you’re agreeing to. You glance over again at Jamie and find that he’s still standing there, staring at you, and you immediately blink away. “That’s fine.”
The rest of the transaction feels as though it takes a millennium and three seconds all at once. You’re still caught off guard by the time Natalia gives you your receipt with a dazed look in your eye that now matches hers.
However, yours isn’t because you just saw your favorite Richmond player or your favorite reality show villain. It’s because you’ve just seen your ex-boyfriend and you’re about to walk over and stand next to him for a prolonged period of time.
Nothing about this scenario feels real. You hadn’t seen him in four years. Not since things ended as ugly as they had, with him leaving you sobbing outside of a club at three in the morning, letting you know that things were over between you two. And he hadn’t even given you a reason. It was just that he wasn’t ‘feeling’ it anymore.
You saw in a tabloid about three months later that he was now seeing Keeley Jones (yeah, having to compete with that did not sit well with you at all) and had drawn your assumptions from there. Whether or not he’d been seeing her behind your back or had broken up with you to be with her, you didn’t know. You didn’t care. You were in your anger stage of the break-up and only knew one thing.
Jamie Tartt was a massive fucking prick, and you’d sooner walk on a bed of nails before you saw him again.
But now here he was. And there were no nails to be found.
You avoid eye contact as you pass him to wait for your coffee. There’s a piece of you that wants to say hi and play it cool, just to put on a show for him about how unaffected you were by everything that had happened. The other piece of you hopes that not a word is said for your entire time here.
Unfortunately, neither of those happen.
Jamie slides over to be near you, awkwardly rocking back and forth on his heels. His hands are stuffed in his sweatshirt pocket, and you wait for him to say something. Anything. But he doesn’t.
Instead, you can feel the ‘play it cool’ part of you rise up to the surface. You could do this. You could feign indifference. Fuck him, you could be cool.
You glance over at him and see that he’s pressing his lips together, eyes shifting around the coffee shop. It’s crazy how familiar you still are with his tells to know he’s desperately looking for a way to say something.
You say it for him. “Hi,” you say simply. Cool and unaffected.
It’s as if the one word alone makes him flinch. He clearly wasn’t expecting you to say anything. “Hi—” He clears his throat after his greeting comes out cracked, and he stuffs his hands further in his pockets. “Hey.”
The awkwardness of this moment is killing you, and it’s taking everything in you to pretend like it's not. As you search for something else to say, you land on, “You took my cold brew.”
You can see his brows shoot up out of the corner of your eye. “Oh, fuck, did I?”
You nod slowly. “Yeah,” you tell him. “I come in here every morning. Friends with the barista. Said she was going to save me the last of it, but…” You trail off and finally look at him. “She couldn’t say no to Jamie Tartt, apparently.”
You want to jump up and down about how well you’re doing right now. Maybe you are over him. Maybe you’ve finally moved past this shit, and seeing him once more is all you needed to solidify that. Maybe—
The second he chuckles softly with an apologetic smile, your confidence in those things shoots down. “I’m sorry,” he says.
“Since when do you drink cold brew, anyway?” you ask, frustrated with the fact that he’s fucking laughing in front of you. “You were always a like, caramel macchiato or frappuccino asshole.”
The names make him laugh harder, shaking his head. “Don’t like those anymore,” he responds. “Sugar hurts me teeth. Tryin’ somethin’ new.”
“Yeah,” you mutter. “My fucking coffee.”
That chuckle continues with a shrug. “I’m sorry.” he says again. Then he pauses. “But it’s not like your name was on it, or anythin’.”
Your face draws blank, and immediately, Jamie can tell he’s made a misstep. And it’s not that you’re angry about the joke, it’s just the… everything. Him. The situation. Everything you can remember that you wonder if he bothers to remember too.
Before you can walk away, you feel his hand on your arm. “I’m sorry, I’m sorry,” he repeats for a third time, turning you so that you’ll look at him. Your pissed-off expression meets his easy smile and it only fuels your anger more. “I was jokin’. I’m sorry I took your coffee. We can get ‘em to put your name on it if you want.”
“Whatever,” you mutter. It’s not the most mature thing you could have said, but frankly, you don’t care. You just want to get your consolation espresso and get the hell out of here. “What are you even doing over here anyway?”
You’re not sure why you ask it. You don’t know why you keep the conversation going. Jamie looks just as surprised as you are. “I moved over here a couple weeks ago,” he answers. “Got sick of the old place.”
“Can’t imagine why,” you reply. By the way that Jamie snorts, you know he recalls just how much you hated his apartment when you knew him. It screamed twenty-two-year-old AFC-money shithead and you would tease him about it constantly. “Was the empty beer bottle sculpture finally giving you mold poisoning?”
He chuckles again. “That came down shortly after we stopped talking.”
“Oh, so I was just lucky enough to see it in its final days?”
“Oi,” he says, pointing at you. “That thing was fuckin’ impressive and you know it.”
“Impressive in a dorm,” you shoot back. “Not a seven million pound flat.”
He bows his head in a guilty manner. “You remember that, huh?”
“Hard not to,” you answer. “You never stopped talking about it.”
He at least has the decency to wince at that one. “I know,” he says earnestly. It makes you look at him. He shrugs once more. “I wanted to impress ya.”
He did impress you. But not with things like that. He’d impress you when you watched him play, he’d impress you when he made you laugh, and he’d impress you on the rare occasion that he’d just be himself in front of you. Not some asshole footballer. Just him.
But you don’t say that. You say, “That wasn’t the way.”
“Yeah,” he chuckles mirthlessly. “Got that now.” He rocks back on his heels again, like he’s not sure if he should say whatever he wants to. “I was a proper fucking dick to you, wasn’t I?”
That almost makes you fall over. Did he just say that? Did he actually just admit that? Out loud, here, for everyone to hear? Accountability? Unprompted? From Jamie Tartt?
You want to glance around to see if Rod Sterling’s going to emerge from the bathroom to narrate the next couple of minutes of your life, but are too shocked to do so.
Your surprise must show in your eyes, because Jamie laughs to himself. “Yeah. Wild, innit?” He shakes his head. “On a bit of an apology tour this year. Trying to build back some bridges, or whatever.”
The nod you give him is slow, still reeling from all of this. “Right,” you say lamely. “Building bridges.”
“I’m serious,” he tells you and for a brief moment, you think he may just mean it. The sincerity in his eyes is clear. “I was terrible to you. And I’m sorry.”
Whatever you were expecting when you stepped into this coffee shop on this rainy Wednesday, it certainly wasn’t this. And you certainly weren’t expecting your first time reuniting with him to go this way— with him apologizing to you. The actual words ‘I’m sorry’ just left his mouth.
You genuinely don’t know who this is. Because it’s certainly not the Jamie you knew.
You saw flashes of this guy. Quiet moments during your short-lived relationship, typically when it was just the two of you. It’s the type of guy you always knew he could be if he tried. The type of guy you pushed him to be.
(Your friends always taunted you about having the ever-horrendous I-can-fix-him gene, and they never quite let go of it. But it’s not like it wasn’t true.)
Those flashes are why you held out for as long as you did. If it were anyone else, any other asshole who treated you the way he did, you would have dropped them in a second. But he wasn’t like that. Not always, at least.
It was terrible to think like that. You’d been in a low spot when you’d met him and had taken even lower when he left you. You’d recovered tenfold from that and now knew your worth.
But as he stands in front of you, apologizing, genuinely apologizing, and looking at you like that, you start to question it.
No! the logical part of your brain practically screams. Don’t you fucking dare.
You’re keen to listen to that for the time being. It hardens you. And all you can do is nod at him again. “Well, uh—” Your voice comes out hoarse. You cough awkwardly. “Yeah. You were. Terrible to me. And, uh… thank you. For saying that.”
So much for playing it cool. You want to slam your head up against the wall but hold yourself back from doing so.
He nods at you, opening his mouth to say something else before he’s interrupted by one of the baristas calling your name. His cold brew’s sitting on the counter too, something the two of you clearly missed in the middle of your conversation.
When you reach for your drink, he grabs his too. He’s still staring at you, biting the inside of his cheek like he wants to say something. When you go to move around him, he stops you.
“Look, I just—” You look up at him expectantly, and his shoulders deflate. “I know you probably want nothin' to do with me. But, I just… I want to talk to you.”
Your espresso is hot in your hands. “Well, that sounds like a you problem.”
That’s when he says your name. Your actual name. Not the nickname that everyone calls you, not a pet name that he used to use, he says your name. And it makes you stop in your tracks.
It’s so stupid. It’s so fucking dumb that your fucking name can send you back to the day you first met him and were completely taken with him. You hate it. And you hate the way it makes your walls come crumbling down.
“Please,” he begs. “Can we… Can I at least give you my number? It’s a new one, but I-I think I’ve still got yours. You don’t have to use it if you don’t want to. But just so you can… I don’t know? Think about it?”
You wouldn’t know if he still had your number. You blocked him ages ago. But you doubt it.
However, the more you think about it, the more you consider it. It’s the product of your resolve falling and well, everything else about him now. You think about it.
If you allowed him to give you his number, the ball would be in your court. You could do what you wanted with it. You could text him, you could tell him to fuck off, you could ignore him. It was up to you.
And you don’t know if that’s worse or better.
You decide on better. The second you sigh, Jamie knows he’s got you. A wide grin breaks out on his face as you hand him your phone. “I’ll think about it,” you mutter.
That’s good enough for him. He gives your phone back to you, new number inserted and new contact created. You’re glad he didn’t search for his old one. That one just says ASSHOLE in big capital letters with about a million gun emojis.
(That was done by your previous roommates in an effort to get you to move on from him. You thought it was a bit overdramatic. You were never one for emojis.)
He’s smiling when he holds his coffee out for you. You stare at him blankly, thinking he’s attempting to cheers you. Instead, he shakes his head and says, “Take it.”
You blink at him. “What?”
“Trade with me,” he clarifies and your expression turns to one of shock. “C’mon. You said it’s yours anyway, right?” When you don’t move he rolls his eyes. “Offer’s only good for another second. Me arm’s getting tired.”
At that, you sigh rather dramatically and grumble to yourself, trying not to act pleased by the gesture. You hand him your coffee and he gives you his. “Thanks,” you say. It was kind of him.
His grin returns and he nods at you. “Alright,” he says. After a slightly awkward beat, he steps back from you. “It was good to see you, Doc. Really.” You’re taken back by how genuine his voice sounds and say nothing in return. “I’ll talk to you later?”
He says it as a question, hopeful and well-meaning. “Yeah,” you tell him noncommittally. “Maybe.”
That too, is good enough for him. Because he sends you one more smile, then walks out of the coffee shop with your espresso in hand.
You’re still reeling from the interaction when you glance down at his your cold brew and see Natalia’s handwriting. She’s made it just as you like it, down to the milk and everything.
But below it is a small drawing. It’s a tiny shark fin with a #9 written inside, with little lettering circling around it.
Doo-doo-do-doo-do-do-doo.
You’re fucked.
Tumblr media
“Are you out of your fucking mind?” is the question that your best friend and former roommate Leah screams at you over drinks at a busy rooftop bar. So busy, in fact, that barely anyone looks over at the two of you.
You’d made the mistake of telling Leah that not only had you run into Jamie on Wednesday, but you’d let him give you his number.
And you’d texted him after hours of deliberation.
It was something innocent, something you’d thought way too much about, but innocent still. You weren’t sure if you were ready to actually talk to him, but there was something about texting him that wasn’t so scary. Your guard was clearly still up, evident by how dry you were in your messages, and you were keeping your distance. You never texted back too quickly, didn’t ask many questions, and often left him on read.
(Yeah, you’d turned your read receipts on for him. What about it?)
Your first text was a simple enough question, something that you’d been genuinely wondering about since you saw him. It was open enough for a conversation but not too forward. how’d you know my coffee order?
His response came in minutes later. Is that yours? Good taste. It was shortly followed up with, That espresso you drink was fucking disgusting though.
And that was that. That was how you started texting your ex again. That’s how you reconnected yourself with Jamie Tartt. That’s how you knew it was over for you.
And that’s how you’re pretty sure you’re about to kill your best friend.
Leah’s eyes were wild, somehow angry yet still disbelieving yet intrigued. But the intrigue was very minimal. Very minimal. It was hidden well by how pissed off she was at you.
She had every right to be pissed at you. She was the one who always warned you about him. She’d straight-up nursed you back to health when you broke up. She was the one who had to hear about him 24 hours a day until you were finally over him.
Leah had had a year of peace. And now you were killing her for good.
“You’re kidding, right?” she follows up with. Her grip on your arm is tight. “Please tell me your kidding.”
“Leah…” Your voice is weak.
It tells her everything she needs to know. “Oh, my God! Oh, my. God.” She puts her face in her hands. “You’re insane. You’re fucking losing it and we need to have you checked out right now.”
“I’m completely sentient and in control of my own body.”
“Are you sure?”
You sip at your cocktail. “I reset a knee today. I’m pretty sure.”
“I think you might need to reconsider,” she says. “Because you just told me that not only are you talking to Jamie Tartt again, but you were the one who instigated it!”
You deserve this verbal beatdown and you know it. But all you can do is shrug. “Technically, he gave me his number. He’s the one who instigated it.”
“I’m gonna throw my fucking drink in your face,” Leah threatens, gripping her glass in warning.
You roll your eyes at her. “Nothing’s gonna happen,” you say, even though you know you’re probably lying. Leah knows this too. “We’ve just been texting a little. It’s nothing serious.”
“Yeah, sure,” she deadpans. “Right. And even if I did believe you, what happens if it does? What happens if you get back in your weird, scary Jamie phase and he kills you again? I can’t deal with that.”
“That’s not going to happen,” you assure her, and this time it’s more confident. Because you know you won’t. Not this time. Not if anything happens.
You’d met Jamie when you were twenty-two. You were in your first year of your Masters program, slightly lost as in your move to London to finish your journey to become a physical therapist. Or a physio, as they called it here. Whatever. You couldn’t keep up with the names.
You were shadowing a physio at the clinic you now worked at, assisting him as a part of your internship at one of the football tournaments the clinic worked at. It was a ton of big-wig footballers, some names you recognized, others you didn’t. But it didn’t matter. They were precious fucking cargo and you were so paranoid about screwing up that you barely registered who they were when you worked on them.
That was, until a twenty-two-year-old Jamie Tartt sprained his ankle and plopped himself down on your doctor’s bench. He looked at you, you assisted him, and you were wrapped up in what you were doing that you didn’t even notice he was flirting with you.
You didn’t realize until he asked you out. And the rest was history, for better or for worse.
You were surprised he went for you. You knew who Jamie was, what type of girls he liked to be seen with. They were singers and models and actresses. They weren’t you.
(Perhaps that’s one of the reasons you liked him so much. Because he chose you. You didn’t like to think about that phase of your life.)
But after six months of seeing him, he ended things out of nowhere. Right when you’d settled on the idea that despite it all, you might be in love with him. And that was that.
You hadn’t seen him since. Not until this week.
“Not gonna happen my ass,” Leah scoffs, bringing you back into the conversation at hand.
A sigh of frustration leaves your lips. “Listen, I know it’s a bad idea;” you tell her. “I know it is. But, I don’t know. There was something different about him, Leah. He was just… like not someone I recognized.”
“Maybe because his hair is fucking long and stupid now.” She brings her glass to her lips. “His highlights look horrendous.”
“I actually like his hair like this,” you admit, earning yet another eye roll. “Listen. I’m not saying he’s changed. He probably hasn’t. But I…” You trail off with a shrug. “I don’t know. What if he has?”
Leah’s looking at you like you’re the dumbest person she’s ever met in her life. “Are you hearing yourself right now?” she asks incredulously. “Babe, he was a prick to you. Like, category-five, prestige-level twat. Like, worst boyfriend you’ve ever had.”
“I know,” you repeat. “And I said nothing’s going to happen. But if it does, and it goes south, I give you full permission to say I-told-you-so for the rest of my life, alright?”
Leah bites the inside of her cheek, shaking her head. “Whatever,” she says. After a moment, she glances over at you. “I’m just looking out for you, y’know. I don’t want to see you hurt again. And I definitely don’t want him to be the reason for that hurt again.”
You grab her hand. “I know,” you say once more. “And I love you for it. But if I’m gonna be stupid, I’m fully aware of when I’m gonna do it. And it’s gonna be my own fault.”
There’s a moment of silence between the two of you before Leah nods. “Okay,” she finally says. “Okay. Fine. Your fucking funeral.”
“I’ll let you give the eulogy and allow you to call me a dumb bitch for ten minutes straight.”
“Sold,” Leah says, pointing at you. That slight intrigue you previously saw in her eye returns. “Okay, now that I’ve yelled at you, you need to tell me everything.”
And so you do. You tell her how he took your coffee, how you nearly threw up the second you saw him, how you played it cool until you didn’t. How he apologized to you. Joked around with you. Apologized some more. And then he gave you his coffee.
You despise how excited you sound about it. Again, you’re trying to play it cool, but the people that know you the best can always see right through you. You’re excited about it. Excited about him.
It’s a bad idea to be excited about him.
It’s a bad idea to look down at your phone after you and Leah order another drink. Your heart stops when you see he’s texted you.
It’s a bad idea to open the message when Leah excuses herself to go to the bathroom. What are you up to tonight?
It’s past midnight on a Saturday and he’s texting you. It’s still preseason for him, so he might be drunk, he may not be. You’re three drinks deep and aren’t sure if you are.
It’s a bad idea to respond to him. getting drinks with a friend. You keep it dry.
It’s a bad idea to not look down at your phone until you finish the drinks you ordered. Because now, you’re definitely drunk and looking at it all with new eyes.
Would you want to hang out tonight? No pressure.
It’s a bad idea to consider it.
But it’s a worse idea to agree.
text me your new address. i can be there by 1:30.

Before you know what you’re doing, you’re knocking on Jamie’s door, intertwining your fingers together when you realize you’re shaking.
The second you do it, you regret it. You’re no longer feeling the effects of your drinks. It wore off on the Uber ride over here. And everything seems like a terrible idea now.
God, what were you doing? He treated you like that and the second you see him again, you go running back? He was an asshole. He’d made you question everything about yourself, he’d made you cry, he’d made you experience every fucking emotion in the book and all it took is one text for you to be back on his doorstep?
Your roommate was right. This was a horrendous idea and you were an idiot.
However, none of that matters. It doesn’t matter because Jamie Tartt’s opening his door and he’s got a stupid fucking smile on his face. And the second you see it, you know there’s no turning back.
“Hey,” he says as he opens the door. “You alright, love?”
You clench your jaw at the name, at his smile, about how casual he’s being, about everything. “Hey,” you say, avoiding his eyes to look around his flat.
It’s a complete 180 from what he had when he first joined Richmond and what he had when you knew him. It’s a bit less mojo-dojo-casa-house-looking and something more mature. While you can still tell that a twenty-something guy definitely lives here, it’s decorated well, it’s put together, and it’s clean. No beer bottle sculptures in sight. He’s even got a fucking candle burning on his counter. Who the fuck is this and what did he do with the guy you knew?
Jamie follows you as you enter, wiping his hands on his sweatpants. “You find the place okay?”
His question snaps you out of your flat-induced haze. “Yeah,” you reply. You clear your throat. “This is nice.”
That same, stupid smile returns, but it looks a bit nervous. “Yeah. I told you it was a bit different, huh?” he chuckles. He walks toward his island, rounding it as he speaks. “Needed a fresh start or whatever. The old one was gettin’... old.” He watches you as you nod, continuing to look around. “You still in the same place with the same people?”
“Uh, no. Different place. No people,” you answer. You’ve stayed on your side of the counter, actively keeping your distance. “Willa moved to New York last year and Leah moved with her boyfriend. We live in the same building, though, which is nice.”
The small talk is fucking killing you. You’re not even sure if he cared to remember your previous roommates' names, so this all could be pointless. You can’t believe you’re here. You can’t believe you’re actually standing here, talking to him about the past.
But as you finish speaking, he nods like he’s listening. Maybe he is listening. Maybe he does remember.
“I’ll have to see that sometime,” he ends up saying, and the implication of it makes your head spin. He wants to see you again. Or he just learned small talk common courtesy. Whatever it is, it’s driving you insane. You have so many questions for him, so many things to say, and as he wipes his hands on his pants again and nods over to his kitchen, he asks, “Can I get you something to drink? I’ve got—”
“Why did you invite me here, Jamie?” The question comes spilling out of you, rushed as if it were waiting on the tip of your tongue and simply couldn’t stand to stay in any longer. Jamie stops in his tracks to blink at you. The look on his face encourages you to go on. “I mean, I know I texted you first. But why… why did you text me tonight? Why’d you—” You grimace, trying to find the right words. “Why’d you give me your number?”
He’s silent for a moment. Thinking. Evaluating. But his eyes haven’t left you. “Because I wanted you here,” he finally says. You cross your arms over your chest as he takes a step toward you. “Because I haven’t stopped thinking about you since I saw you.”
You want to say that you’ve been driven crazy all week because you feel same, but decide against it. Instead, you look away from him and scoff. “Right.”
“I’m serious,” he tells you, and your heart stops with every step he takes. “I felt like I was goin’ insane. I didn’t…” For a flash of a second, he looks shy. “I didn’t think I’d see you again. And I didn’t think you’d actually text me. I mean, I hoped you would, but…”
He’s right in front of you, but you still refuse to look at him. Your gaze has shifted to the floor. “I shouldn’t have,” you mutter.
The asshole has the nerve to chuckle, but it’s nervous. Your stomach churns. You’re not sure if you’ve ever heard him nervous. “No, you probably shouldn’t have,” he agrees. “I don’t deserve it.” He pauses and your throat starts to tighten. “I didn’t deserve you.”
That makes you look at him. Either he’s actually apologetic about everything, or he’s gotten really good at knowing everything you want to hear. “No. You didn’t.”
His fingers tentatively brush your arm and you allow him to take your hand. “I know,” he says. “I was a fucking prick. I get that now. I should never have… done that shit to ya.” You’re close enough to him now that if you moved an inch, his forehead would be up against yours. He brings your hand up to his mouth, pressing a feather-light kiss to the back of it. The action makes your throat tighten. “And I can’t fix it. But I…” He trails off again and looks you dead in the eye once he has the words. “I want to make it up to you.”
Your resolve is getting weaker and you hate yourself for it. You lean back against the counter, like that will put space between you two. “Jamie…”
“Please,” he whispers. His forehead finally meets yours. You can feel his breath on your lips. You don’t pull away. “Let me make it up to you.”
The last front you have standing weakly presents itself. “If you think,” you begin, breath shuddering as his hand meets your neck, “that one 2 AM hookup is going to make up for what you did, I—”
“I know it won’t,” he says, and it sounds like he does know. “But I want it to be a start.” The fingers on your neck are now tracing your jaw. And they tighten when he says, “Let me show you just how sorry I am, yeah? Let me make it fucking good for you.”
Jesus fucking Christ. That last front dissolves the second he says that, and your logic flips on itself. You came over here for a reason. You knew what this was. At least you got an overdue apology. Whether or not he meant it, is still up in the air, but if he’s promising things like that, then you might as well get something out of it.
You struggle to get a word out, so you nod against his hand. “O-Okay,” you finally stammer out. The way he’s looking at you gives you enough confidence to say, “Fine. Make it up to me.”
Jamie’s lips curl into a smirk and say, “As you wish,” before they’re on yours.
He’s softer than you remember. His lips aren’t chapped, he isn’t as aggressive with it, and he isn’t as rushed. Everything about him feels more mature and you struggle to understand how fast he could have changed in four years. But you’re not complaining. Not when he’s kissing you like this, with more practice and passion than you can ever recall.
His hand unlocks from yours to slide it up your sweatshirt, and it’s surprisingly warm against your back. Still, you shiver from the contact and you can feel him smirk once more against your lips.
The action alone prompts you to fork a hand in his hair and tug at it slightly, reveling in the soft sound that escapes him. Everything about him comes back to you at once, and you’ve never been happier to know that the same things still get him. If he wants to play it like that, you can keep up.
His hands drop to grab your thighs and lift you onto the counter, breaking the kiss momentarily. Your chest is heaving up and down, lips swollen and wet. Jamie appears to be in the same boat. “Fuck,” he whispers, sounding even more out of breath than you. He dips his head to press a kiss to your neck, nose rubbing against it as he makes his way down. “You look fucking gorgeous, by the way. Meant to tell you that at the shop.”
You’re too caught up in it all to play it cool, especially as he works at that one spot on your neck. “You look— fuck, you look good too. The long hair suits you.”
You feel him grin against your neck. “Yeah?”
“Yeah,” you agree breathily. “Looked like a prick with the old cut.”
You feel his teeth dig into your skin at that one, and you hiss. “You liked that prick,” he reminds you.
You were in love with that prick, but you ignore that thought. “I liked a lot of things about him,” you respond. While it’s honest, the accidental double meaning of it isn’t lost on you.
It’s certainly not lost on Jamie. “Yeah?” he asks again. He lifts his head to look at you, hand creeping up your leg. “What’d you like?” You grip his arm as it rises beneath your sweatshirt once more. “C’mon love. Tell me what you want.”
You hate the way your breath hitches the second his fingers meet your back. You know what you want. You want to see what he’s learned since you last had him. What he’s like four years later. What’s changed, what’s stayed the same. But you’re too embarrassed and much too proud to ask.
Instead, you decide to say, much too shyly for your liking, “You know what I want.”
He hums in agreement, other hand creeping dangerously close to the inside of your thigh. “I do, don’t I?” he murmurs. “Bet I know everything ya want. But I wanna hear you say it.”
“Oh my, God,” you say under your breath, frustration creeping into your voice. The asshole fucking laughs at you. “I want you to make good on your promise. This seems far from it.”
“Right, right, I’m sorry,” he tells you. He doesn’t sound sorry at all. “Just making sure we’re still, y’know. On the same page.” He glances at you. “Right?”
You blink at him. You’re not sure you could have been clearer about what page you’re on. But that’s not what surprises you. What surprises you is the seriousness in his eyes. How he’s searching for assurance in yours. And you know that if, for whatever godly reason, you wanted to stop, he’d pull away immediately, despite how worked up he clearly is.
It's the bare fucking minimum, but it's more than you’re used to getting.
So, you nod. “Yeah,” you say. “Definitely on the same page.”
The grin he breaks out to is nothing short of breathtaking. “Good.”
“But—” you suddenly say, stopping him from leaning in once more. He freezes beneath your touch, brows furrowing. “This is… This is a one-time thing. You’re…” You trail off to find the word. “You’re apologizing to me. That’s all this is.”
His smile falters, dropping momentarily before returning with a bit less radiance. It’s his turn to nod. “Okay,” he says, fingers now toying with the edge of your sweatshirt. “Gotta make it count, then.”
And with that, Jamie presses his lips back to yours, grabbing you securely and pulling you off the counter. Your legs wrap around his waist, grabbing the sides of his face, like that’ll stable you against him.
This time, it’s more desperate. It’s more tongues and teeth, more force and intention behind each movement. He’s setting the pace, but you’re keeping up tenfold. While it’d been four years, you’re not sure if he’d ever kissed you like this. He’s passionate instead of aggressive. While he knows what he wants, he’s definitely not just going to take it. He may be leading but he’s listening to you. And that stirs something inside you that you haven’t felt in a long time.
That much is clear, because you unconsciously let out a quiet sound against his lips. You can feel him smiling once more as he walks you slowly to wherever the hell his bedroom is. You’re caught up in him. And by the way he’s gripping you, you can tell he’s just as caught up in you.
So much so, that he completely loses track of where he’s going and accidentally slams you into his doorframe. You yelp, more because of shock than pain, and pull away to glare at him.
Jamie’s already apologizing. “Sorry, sorry,” he says. “Still gettin’ used to this place.”
“Well, figure out how to navigate better,” you respond, verging on a pout as you rub the back of your head.
“I’m sorry!” he repeats. He’s still got you against the doorframe. “It’s hard to see with your big head in me face. And I can’t kiss ya with, like, my eyes open. It’d be freaky.”
“I’ll give you a pass for that one,” you reply dryly. “Be weird instead of giving me a concussion.”
He’s walking you toward the bed when he mutters, “I’ll give you something, alright.”
Your back meets the mattress and you try to ignore the way he held his hand behind your head when he laid you down. You have under a second to adjust before he’s on top of you. The desperation returns and it almost takes your breath away.
He’s essentially straddling you, tugging at the waist of your leggings before he leaves one last kiss on your lips. He finally gets to pull your sweatshirt off, something he’d clearly been dying to rid you of since he first kissed you. You lift your arms up to help him, finding that you quickly start to do the same to him. You hear him chuckle as you attempt to get it up his back.
“I got it, love, hold on,” he says softly, tossing your hoodie to the side to take off his own. Your eyes immediately go to his chest and stomach and you refrain from reaching out to touch him. When you look up at him, you expect him to be smirking. However, he’s doing the exact opposite.
Jamie’s looking down at you like he can’t fucking believe you’re real. It’s jarring, seeing him like this, but you figure he’s in the same headspace as you and is still struggling to process that this is happening. It doesn’t matter, because before you can question it, he’s moving to press a kiss to your collarbone.
Your hand falls into his hair as he works his way down, mouthing the area of your chest. He pauses before he gets to the bra you’re wearing. His eyes flick up to yours. “Can I—”
You’re nodding before he can even get the words out, shifting to make it easier for him. He discards it to the floor with the rest. When he looks back at you, he releases a shaky breath and just stares.
He stares so intently that you begin to get self-conscious. “What?” you ask.
The question takes Jamie out of his trance. He shakes his head. “Nothing,” he says. “I just— I… Fuck. I forgot how beautiful you were.”
That spreads a warmth through you, one that pulls at your core. As you feel your face heat, you realize you have nothing to say to that. Luckily, he’s already moving on.
Jamie’s different. Really different. And you don’t realize how different he is until you start looking at him like you are right now. You were trying to convince yourself when you told Leah that he’d changed, you’ll admit that. But right now, you think you may have been telling the truth.
He grabs the waist of your leggings once more, lifting your legs to pull them off. You can’t help the laugh that leaves your lips as he struggles to do so. He shakes his head with a soft smile. “Missed that.”
“What?” you ask again.
“Your laugh,” he replies. “Missed that more than you know.”
The sweet words hit you like a bullet. The vulnerability in his voice is what gets you. Goddammit, when did he get so fucking nice? It drives you insane. But it also makes you quietly admit, “I think I’ve got an idea.”
With your leggings now gone, Jamie’s smile turns fonder. Gentler. He presses a kiss to your leg but says nothing in response. He simply places your legs down, eyes flicking down. He lifts his hand to trace down your stomach, stopping at the edge of your panties. The feeling makes you flinch.
He hooks a finger in the band, and your hips buck up to encourage him. His other hand spreads across your hip in a poor effort to keep you still. “Easy,” he murmurs.
You huff out a breath. “You can—” Your breath hitches as two of his fingers push into your underwear. “Fuck, you can take them off.”
His lips quirk up. “Well, thank you for the permission,” he says. “But not yet. I wanna take it slow with ya.”
Your mouth parts. “Why?”
“Because it’s been years since I’ve seen you,” he answers, moving up to kiss you softly. He speaks against your lips as he says, “And I’ve apparently only got one shot to do this right. So I’m gonna make this last.”
You roll your eyes at his terribly disguised jab. “You’re a dick,” you mutter against him.
“And you’re—” He cuts himself off and a gasp escapes your lips as he cups your core and rubs his palm against it. “Fuck, love. You’re really fucking wet.” He’s positioned on you so that you can feel him getting harder against you thigh. “This all for me, yeah?”
His voice is cocky, while still sounding awestruck. The remaining dignity you have left makes you roll your eyes, albeit a bit embarrassed. “It’s for whoever doesn’t take their fucking time to give me what I want,” you bite.
Jamie draws back from you with a full smirk on his face. “That so?” he asks. The hand against you starts creeping up to the band of your panties. “And what is it that you want? You still haven’t told me.”
You scoff. “I told you.”
He pulls your underwear down your legs and the air around you suddenly makes you realize just how exposed you are. You told yourself you’d never give him the satisfaction of seeing you like this again. But here you were.
His fingers brush against the inside of your thigh, and you shiver once more. “No,” he tells you gently. “You didn’t. You just said you wanted me to keep my promise. You didn’t tell me what you wanted.”
He’s moving closer and closer to the place you want him and you don’t know if you can take it anymore. You shift uncomfortably, as if that will cease the ache. But you know only one thing will.
So, you give him the answer he’s been waiting for this entire time. “You.” His gaze meets yours. “I want you, Jamie. Please.”
That breathtaking grin returns. “Just because you asked so nicely.”
And then he puts his mouth on you without warning.
You spasm at the contact, crying out as he uses both arms to hold you still. The second you calm down, one hand leaves your thigh and you feel him work two fingers into you. Fuck. He didn’t know that before.
And it’s not like he was ever bad in bed when you two were together. You’re not sure you would have stayed with him if that were the case. It’s just… he’s better now. He’s hitting everything nearly perfectly, not stumbling like he used to. He’s more confident. More assured. He knows what he’s doing.
And it’s fucking hot.
The sounds that fill his room are downright obscene. He’s gripping one side of you to keep you in place, splitting you open on his knuckles with the other. His mouth zeroes in on your clit, alternating between licking and sucking in a way that honestly has you close already.
“F-fuck,” you breathe. “Fuck, Jamie. Don’t st— shit. Don’t stop. Please.”
Of course, the fucking shit he is, stops. He grins up at you, but continues to slowly pump his fingers in and out. “You sound so fucking pretty begging like that,” he tells you. He’s just as out of breath as you are. He feels you clench around his fingers at the praise and it only eggs him on further. “Look so pretty too. Fucking gorgeous.”
“Jamie,” you whine again. He’s going too slow. Teasing. It’s not fucking fair. He’s supposed to be the one apologizing to you. “I need— Ngh. I need—”
“What do you need?” he asks. “Tell me.”
You think you’d kill him if you weren’t completely incapacitated. “More,” you manage to get out, wincing as he continues at his slow pace. You’re close. Embarrassingly close. “Just fucking more. Please. I’m—” You interrupt yourself with a moan as he shoves his fingers deeper into you.
“I know,” he nearly coos. “I’ve got you.”
And got you he does. Because not only does he pick up the pace, he stretches you with a third finger. The sting of it is momentary, and it subsides as soon as he bends down and swipes your clit with his tongue.
Your back arches. “Jesus fucking— Jamie. Oh, my God.”
He’s good. Of course, he’s fucking good. He’s Jamie Tartt. You’re not sure he’s ever been bad at anything physical in his life. Emotionally was another story. But that story didn’t matter right now. Not when he’s got you like this, and you’re teetering over the edge.
He pulls away from you, breath tickling your core as he speaks. “C’mon,” he chides. “I can feel it. You’re right there, aren’t you, love?” He takes your breathy silence as confirmation and nods to himself. “Yeah. You just need—”
He removes one finger and crooks the rest a certain way, deeper than before. Your heart may stop beating. He’s done something he did to you time and time again, something that he was actually really fucking good at, something he knew you liked years ago. When he looks up at you, he searches your eyes. And by the way they roll back, he knows he’s struck gold.
The smirk returns and he continues to work his fingers into you, smirk growing each time he hears you say his name. “Yeah,” he whispers. “That’s it. That’s still it.”
You could finish at any moment. The telltale heat is rising in your stomach, and you’re just waiting for the cord to snap. And then, as if your muscle memory takes over, you reach out for his arm.
But instead of letting you do it like before, he does something completely different. He intertwines his free hand with the back of yours and guides it to your stomach. And then he presses on your hand.
The pressure builds. You’re barely able to make any noise. And then—
“C’mon,” Jamie repeats. “Come for me, angel. I wanna see it.”
The cord snaps, and you do as you’re told. You come. Hard.
Jamie talks you through it, fingers still moving to coax your climax out of you. You’re sure you look pathetic, crying out and thrashing around in his bed, but you don’t care. You can barely fucking see right now.
It’s been a while for you. Or at least been a while since you’ve had anything that good. And it completely strips away any sort of attitude or frustration you had before.
When you finally come back down, you laugh softly, shaking your head and throwing your arm over your face. “Fuck,” you say through a chuckle.
You feel him shift, moving up the bed to hover over you once more. When he removes your arm from your eyes, you see that he’s smiling. “Nobody’s ever laughed after I’ve done that,” he tells you, a faux pout pulling at his lips. He bends down to press them to yours and you can taste yourself. “It better be a good fuckin’ sign.”
You laugh again, reaching up to cup his cheek and pull him into another kiss. “Very good sign,” you assure him. It’s muffled against him, but you think he gets the point.
It’s then that you catch him by surprise and flip the two of you over, straddling him in a way that makes him release a breathy sound that you’d missed dearly. But, something feels off.
Your glance down at him, expecting to feel or see fabric once you reach his leg. But there’s not much. Only what feels like boxer shorts. It catches you off guard. When did he take off his—
It doesn’t matter. It’s easier for you now. Especially as your fingers move across his abdomen, biting back a grin at the way he shudders. He looks up at you from his pillow.
“What are you doing?” he asks leadingly.
You shrug innocently, fingers toying with the band hanging low on his hips. “Returning the favor,” you reply.
Jamie makes a noise of disapproval, placing a hand on your thigh like that’ll stop you. “I’m supposed to be the one making it up to you,” he states, but his voice gets less firm as you cup him through the fabric. “Fuck. Y-You don’t owe me anythin’. No favors.”
You shake your head, pulling at his boxers so that he springs free from inside. Your eyes travel back to his as you reach out and gently grab his cock, staring down at him with a smirk dancing on your lips. “You sure?”
He looks pained. You don’t know why. You’re offering a way to take him out of his misery. But still, he shakes his head and moves his arm from your leg to your back.
He takes his turn to flip you over next. He swears under his breath as he does so, shaking his head when you land on your back.
“I told you,” he says, taking his boxers all the way off now. “It’s about you. Not me.” He shakes his head again, but this time it’s a bit more frustrated. When he speaks, it’s mostly to himself. “Can’t believe I just fuckin’ said no to that.”
A snort escapes you. “You’re a changed man, Jamie Tartt,” you joke.
He shrugs before placing his arms on either side of you. His voice teeters on teasing and earnest. “I’ve been trying to tell ya that.”
You’re not sure if it’s him, or the situation, or the sex, but you think you believe him. It makes your chest heavy. But you can’t admit that. You won’t let yourself. So, you keep that feeling tucked away, way in the back of your mind for safekeeping. You know it’s better like that. For your emotional sake, at least.
You allow yourself to prop yourself up on your elbow and kiss him instead of responding to that, bringing him in closer. You can feel the length of him press against your stomach, and his groan vibrates against your lips.
He pulls away, grinding into you. The heat of your body is making him go wild. “Can I—”
You know what he wants. And you want it too. “Please,” you say.
He nods, moving to angle himself against you. You glance down to watch him, heat flooding your face as he strokes himself before glancing up at you. You nod in return, giving him the confirmation he needs. Jamie grins.
He slides in you slowly. The stretch is mild but grows as he hovers over you once more. It’s easy to adjust, having been warmed up moments before. But for Jamie, it’s not as easy.
He bottoms out almost immediately, tensing over you. His head bows, chin falling to his chest. “Fuck,” he curses. It’s quiet but straight-up sinful. “God, fucking— you’re so—” You grip onto his bicep as he steadies himself. “I’m sorry. It’s just— i-it’s been a minute. And you’re f-fucking tight. Jesus.”
You don’t mind. He feels good like this, despite the fact he’s not moving. Your hand travels from his arm to his hair, tucking a piece of it behind his ear before settling on his jaw. “It’s alright,” you tell him. “We’ve got time.”
Jamie’s eyes snap open at that, but he’s not looking at you like you thought he would. You were expecting a cheeky sort of smile, a smirk, something in that realm. But he’s not. He’s looking at you like…
It’s something you can’t define. Something you’ve never seen before. It churns your stomach yet makes your heart race. Neither of you says a word.
He just dips down to kiss you again and slowly begins to move inside you. Your lips part in a gasp, and he slides his tongue in your mouth. Your back arches into him.
Before you know it, he's breaking from you and is breathing heavy against your neck. “Shit,” he groans. “You’re just— fuck. You…” He trails off, mouth hovering over your collarbone. “You drive me f-fucking mad. God, everything about you. Y-you don’t even know, do you?”
The pace picks up. He’s thrusting into you harder now and your nails dig into his back. You hear him hiss at the contact, but neither of you seem to care. “Fuck.” It’s all you can say. “Fuck, Jamie.”
He’s clearly not done talking. “How’d I-I fuck this up? Huh?” You can’t tell if he’s talking to you or himself. His mouth is on your chest now and the feeling runs through you like fire. “Fucking idiot. Didn’t know what I had. Can’t believe I let you go.”
You clench around him and it throws him off kilter. You watch his jaw clench, hand beside you gripping the pillow you’re on. “You w-were an idiot.” Your agreement is much less effective when it’s closed out by a high-pitched moan.
“I know. Fuck, I know,” he says. “I’m sorry. Deserved better.” He continues to slam into you. “I wanna gi—” A strangled sound erupts from his lips. “Give you better. You’re so—” When he shakes his head, he looks wrecked. “I can’t believe you’re here.”
Something about that sends a shock to your system. It makes you cry out and you can feel it. Your legs tremble around him. You’re close again. You’re really fucking close.
He kisses you once more, deeper than before. It’s more frantic. Everything about him is more erratic. You can tell he’s getting there too. “Couldn’t stop,” he manages to get out, hot against your lips. “Couldn’t s-stop thinking about you. I missed you.”
You clench around him again, the admission inching you closer. “Shit,” you say. “Fuck, Jamie, keep going.”
And keep going he does. His hand moves down your stomach, fingers finding your clit. He rubs circles into it and that sends you into a fucking tailspin. He swallows the sound you make.
“Missed you,” he says again, but it’s more helpless. Jamie fucking whimpers. “God, I f-fucking missed you, angel. Missed you so fucking much, I—”
You don’t hear the rest of what he says because you come the second he makes that sound. It’s white-hot. Blinding. Your legs twitch around him and you claw at him as he continues to rub your clit. You’re loud, but you don’t give a shit. It seems to spur him on.
He’s not far behind you. He spills into you with a groan, stomach flexing as he heaves over you, twitching inside of you. You’re still recovering from your own high as you open your eyes to watch him. You catch his expression for a moment before he’s collapsing into you.
You release a soft ‘oof’ at the sudden weight of him. He doesn’t say anything for a moment and neither do you. You just breathe together. But after a moment you allow yourself to put a hand in his hair.
“You’re fucking heavy,” you tell him, but there’s not much bite in it.
You feel him chuckle. “Give me second,” he says. “Not as fuckin’ agile as I used to be. Took a lot out of me, alright?”
You roll your eyes but continue to run your fingers through his hair. “You’re twenty-six and like, the face of the AFC,” you tell him. “Richmond might have to shorten your contract if you’re dying after that.”
He presses a kiss to your shoulder. “Take that up with me Chairwoman then.”
You can’t help but laugh as you push him off of you, wincing as you feel him slip out. He lands with the same noise you did. “If she heard you complaining like that, she’d be on my side.”
Jamie grins at you, joining in on your laughter. He shifts toward you, grabbing your hand to play with your fingers. “You’re probably right. Shouldn’t be complainin’,” he says. He lifts your hand to his lips. “Not when you’re here.”
They’re sweet words. The casualty of them makes your heart swell. But that anxiety about him returns. One time thing, you tell yourself. Apology. One time. That’s all.
You pull your hand back softly and he glances over at you. There’s a hint of worry in his eyes, like that one movement set off alarm bells in his head. You give him an uneasy smile.
Before you can move to get up or say anything or do something, he’s talking. And you have to refrain from wincing.
“I know…” He looks away from you. Shy. “I know you said one time,” he says, as if he can read your fucking mind. “And that’s… That’s okay. I get that, yeah? But I—” Jamie wipes a hand down his face, staring at the ceiling. “I meant what I said. I missed ya. Really.”
You missed him too. But your walls have been rising back up since he started talking again. “I don’t know what you want me to do with that,” you tell him, only partially lying.
You feel like an asshole when he winces. Maybe you were being an asshole. Maybe it was finally your turn to do so.
“Just…” He finally looks at you. “If you ever… don’t want this to be just a one-time thing.” He waves it off in an attempt to look casual. You know he’s anything but. “You’ve got my number. Or whatever.”
The timidness in his voice makes your resolve soften. Even if you don’t see him again, you suppose you can let him down easy. He’s been kind enough tonight to deserve that. You nod at him as you sit up. “Okay,” you say. “I’ll let you know.”
It’s only slightly awkward as you get out of his bed and search for your clothes. He asks if he can call you an Uber home and you reject it, letting him know that you’ve got one on the way.
You can feel his eyes on you as you dress, ignoring the way they burn into you. You can tell he’s searching for something to say, or something to talk to you about but doesn’t know what.
You’re half-dressed before he can shoot himself in the foot and say something stupid. “Hey,” he finally says. You glance over your shoulder at him after you slip your sweatshirt on. “I’m really glad you texted me.”
The nice streak you’re riding on continues and you offer a small but genuine smile in return. “Me too,” you admit, ignoring the way that his own soft smile pulls at your heartstrings.
Before you leave his room, you offer one more admission. You stop in the doorframe he hit you against, lips curling further upward. “It was really good to see you, Jamie.”
He props himself up on his elbow, smile growing. “Good,” he says, nodding. Then, like a prick, he winks at you. “Glad we’re on the same page.”
You physically cannot stop yourself from rolling your eyes and you hear him laugh to himself as you walkdown his hall. “Goodbye, asshole.”
He shouts a tired-sounding ‘bye!’ when you slip your shoes on, shaking your head as you look around his apartment once more. The candle on his counter is still burning, smelling of amber moss and palo santo.
You blow it out before you leave, knowing he’ll forget.
And as you do so, you feel yourself regress. Or grow. You’re not quite sure which one.
But it makes you curse under your breath and leave his flat immediately.
Tumblr media
There is one more universal truth you forgot to mention.
And that’s that the second you think you’re over Jamie Tartt, he comes back into your life and flips everything on its head. And it’s the only truth that’s been confirmed to you all week.
Because the second you arrive home and see that you have a text waiting for you, your heart picks up. You hate the way you get excited to see it.
I had a really good time tonight.
And the second he comes back into your life, you’re reminded that you’re not over him. Not even in the slightest. And it’s fucking debilitating.
me too.
And you know your friends are going to kill you the second you follow up with.
i’m free friday if you want to grab a drink.

New Message
Pairings: JJ x fem!bestfriend!xreader
Warnings: MDNI, unsolicited dick pic, sexting, mention of masterbation, making out, etc.
Summary: JJ woke Y/N up at early hours of the morning because he needed her help.
Authors Note: Enjoy! Let me know if I should write a part 2!
Tumblr media
I woke up to the sound of my phone going off. I looked at the clock that sat next to my bed. It read 1:36am.
*1 New Message from Jayj <3*
JJ: Hey are you awake?
I groaned. What could my best friend possibly need at this time? Was he in trouble? Was he hurt? I had no idea.
Y/N: I am now. What's up are you okay??
I wasn't expecting an immediate response but that's what I got.
JJ: No I need your help
Y/N: What's wrong?? Do I need to come get you?
JJ: No but if you came over I wouldn't mind 😉
That is not the kind of response that you use when your friend thinks you are dying, well unless you are JJ Maybank.
Y/N: Okay then what do you need?? Why did you wake me up???
JJ: I'm hornyyyyy
A sudden redness shot to my cheeks. JJ definitely play flirted with his friends, including me but this takes the cake. Yes he was hot, yes I had a little crush on him, no I did not expect this.
Y/N: Uhm- why are you telling me this JJ?
JJ: Bc you're my best friend, and I've noticed the way you've been looking at me. You undress me with your eyes every time you see me
Somehow I was blushing even harder than before. How did he know? Before I could respond I heard my phone ding again.
JJ: I know you wanna see what I'm packing, you're at least a lil curious.
(Authors Note: MDNI!!! This is a RANDOM dick pic I found online. Please proceed at your own risk.)
I gasped. I wasn't entirely ready to see that, but I'm not gonna lie I did like it.
Y/N: JJ. You're my best friend, and don't you have a line of girls ready for you at all times?
JJ: I mean I guess, but none of them are you.
JJ WANTED ME?!?! OF ALL PEOPLE, MY BEST FRIEND WHO I HAVE HAD A CRUSH ON FOR A YEAR, WANTS ME?!?!
Y/N: What do you need from me JJ?
JJ: I need you to talk dirty to me please. I'll do anything.
I gave in so quickly. This could be the one chance I have with him.
Y/N: Are you touching yourself baby?
This was my first time talking like this so I had no idea what I was doing.
JJ: Just for you princess.
The thought of JJ touching himself to me and calling me princess got me extremely excited.
I couldn't stop my hand from creeping into my pants as I texted JJ back with my non-dominant hand.
Y/N: Mmm Jayj I can't stop thinking about your huge cock.
JJ: Oh fuck, please tell me you are touching yourself too.
I wasn't sure if I should lie or not.
Y/N: Of course I am after seeing you.
JJ: Good girl.
Fuck. Me. That is so hot, especially coming from him of all people.
Y/N: JJ I need you. I can't just do this by myself. I'm no good at dirty talk.
JJ: *Read 2:04 AM*
Oh no. He hates me now. He knew I wasn't experienced but he was always nice about that. This will be awkward to bring up at a later time.
About 10 minutes went by and I heard a *tink* on my window. I look over and see JJ sitting on my roof waving back at me. I eagerly opened my window and welcomed him in. Before I could get any words to leave my mouth his hands found my hips and his lips had found mine. He walked me backwards until my legs hit the edge of my bed. He laid me down and continued our deep kiss.
"Fuck you're so hot." He whispered in my ear after sucking on my soft spot. There would definitely be a mark on my neck for a little while. I blushed when I heard him call me that. No one has ever called me that. Then I started to get self conscious. "JJ...before we continue I want to know your intentions." "Y/N. I have been in love with you since the day we met. I was waiting for you for years. I realized you probably would never want me, so I started acting like a slut. But my intentions are to please you tonight and hopefully every night for the rest of our lives. Ya know if you let me ask you out." I couldn't stop the redness forming in my cheeks. I tried to put up a wall of confidence really fast. "Is that your way of asking Maybank? Or just what you say to all of your random hookups?" My eyebrow lifted as I stared into his gorgeous blue eyes. "Maybe it is, and I've never said that to anyone else, I cross my heart and hope to die." His eyes never left mine as he made the hand motions to go with his phrase. I trusted him. I trusted this man with my whole heart. I didn't say anything, I just attached my lips to his once again. This was going to be a long night and a good life.
(Authors Note: Let me know if you'd like a part two! I was going to write a whole sex scene but I thought this was already long enough.)

Transcript: "You Know The Face" Episode 47 - Blaise Gigson
Disclaimer: This is a work of fiction and resemblance to any real life persons is completely intentional, lol, but to spare the virgin eyes of the search algorithm I changed the name.
Tumblr media
[Theme tune plays]
Arsenio: Hey there listeners, welcome back to "You Know The Face," the best podcast out there devoted to discussing the great changes that The Great Shift brought about.
Arsenio: As always, I'm your host Arsenio Braxton, still here and still me, and for this episode I'm by a very special guest- you might know the face, Blaise Gigson is here in the studio! Hi Blaise, welcome to the pod.
Blaise: Hey Arsenio! Thanks having me, I'm a huge fan of the show. This podcast is like, the soundtrack to my morning runs.
Arsenio: Oh my god, dude, I'm blushing! You've been one of our most requested guests for a while now so it's such a pleasure to finally have you here in the studio with us. And I want to let the listeners at home know, this guy is even bigger in person.
Blaise: Okay, now you're making me blush. I'll admit it, I always do fifty pushups before getting on camera just to make sure I look my best- does that make me sound weird?
Arsenio: I mean, it's healthier than my pre-show ritual, which is just a Red Bull and a shot of vodka. Now I'm gonna be calling you Blaise, but that wasn't the name you were born with, right?
Blaise: Yup, just like most people I was shifted into this body.
Arsenio: BUT, unlike most people, after the shift you decided to adopt the name of the original owner of that body. What inspired you to make that choice?
Blaise: Well I flipped a coin and- nah, I'm just joking. How do I explain this... the shift changed everything, you know? Not just our bodies, but the whole world. I don't really think that any of us are who we used to be, even the people who didn't shift, so taking on a new name just felt natural. Plus I think I'm kind of a special case since I swapped into a celebrity- I get recognized all the time, every day people come up to me on the street and call me "Blaise," so I figured I might as well just embrace that.
Tumblr media
Arsenio: Oh that's true, I never thought of it like that. See, that's what I love about doing this show- getting all of these different perspectives. A lot of the people I talk to on this pod mention that they try stay connected to who they were before the shift, but it sounds like you're just full steam ahead. You very famously don't like to talk about who you were before at all, is that right?
Blaise: Nah, not really. A lot of people think that means I was a criminal or something and I'd like to say for the record that I was not, but I don't like to sweat the small things like who I used to be. I'm just focused on who I am today! And I think I make a pretty good Blaise Gigson, don't you?
Arsenio: Absolutely, man, you're crushing it. But I gotta ask, has the real Blaise Gigson tried to get in contact with you?"
Blaise: Try, like, eight Blaise Gigsons. That's the thing about swapping with a celebrity- there's a lot of creeps out there who were obsessed with you that think about this as their chance to get in on the action. Since it was impossible to figure out who was telling the truth, I had to just block all of them. For safety reasons.
Arsenio: Oh, so you don't talk to any of them? But aren't you worried you might be shutting out the real Blaise?
Blaise: Well, wherever he is he can rest easy knowing that I'm taking good care of his body. If you're out there watching Blaise, this one's for you!
Tumblr media
Arsenio: Oh, and there it is! The famous bicep. Would you mind doing it again, just for me?
Blaise: Mind? I'd love to, these things are awesome.
Arsenio: No arguments here... actually, let's pivot and talk about that for a second. Now, we all knew that Blaise Gigson was a hottie with a body, but you've sexed up his image a lot since assuming the reigns. I'm sure most of our listeners have probably seen a certain viral video-
Blaise: The workout stream, yeah.
Arsenio: Dude. you broke the internet with that one! Seeing you all hot and sweaty, flexing all those muscles on the floor... pretty iconic if you ask me. Can one of the producers insert the clip here?
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Arsenio: Damn daddy! Sorry, I shouldn't be thirsting over you while you're right here in front of me, they're gonna have to edit this part out or else before get cancelled haha.
Blaise: Nah, don't sweat it man. Trust me, no one gets it more than I do- you think looking at this body is great? Try living in it. Like, I'll admit it, I get turned on watching those clips too. I look fucking hot there.
Arsenio: So I think it's safe to say the "himboification" of the Blaise Gigson brand was a conscious decision on your part?
Blaise: Honestly? A little bit yes, a little bit no. I mean, it wasn't something I planned on when I first got this body, it just kind of happened. Like one day I just woke up and I was a famous hunk... of course I was gonna get a little wild, right? I couldn't resist showing off a bit. At first I was worried that I was going a bit overboard but people have really been responding to it.
Arsenio: Yeah I'm sure there are a lot of people out there who "responded" to that video, if you catch my drift.
Blaise: I hope so! I mean, think about it. When I was just a nobody sitting at home I would have killed to see my celebrity crushes take their clothes off and just, I don't know, start slutting it up. And so now that I am one of those guys I used to dream about, I wanna make that fantasy a reality for everybody else.
Blaise: Like, come on, don't the people deserve to see all of this?
Tumblr media
Arsenio: I completely agree. Actually, could we see a little bit more, for the camera? Or even just for me?
Blaise: Haha, maybe later.
Arsenio: Alright, I'm gonna hold you to that. But we should probably get moving or else this episode is gonna wind up being four hours, haha. As the listeners know, I started this podcast because I was one of the few people not affected by The Great Shift, so I'm always fascinated by the stories of people who were. Let's get yours Blaise- can you walk us through your shift experience? What was it like for you that first morning?
Blaise: The thing I'll always remember about waking up was the weight. Being in a body like this one that's built like a tank, that's a lot of muscle, and muscle is one of the heaviest things in the body. I knew something was different before I even opened my eyes because I could feel how much space I was occupying. And that kinda freaked me out!
Blaise: But all of that weight is actually strength, and the second I started moving I knew that whatever had happened to me was a good thing.
Blaise: I'll never forget this- the first thing I saw when I opened my eyes and looked down was this giant chest blocking my view. I was so confused I tried like, wipe them off because I thought they were something stuck to me, but nope! I just had massive pecs all of the sudden. And then I got distracted just, like, squeezing them.
Tumblr media
Arsenio: That's so funny- I hear that exact same story all the time, but from shifted women. I think you're the first guy to have the classic "boob grab" experience, haha!
Blaise: Hey, it's a classic for a reason! I say when you've got tits like these, you give 'em a squeeze. But I realized pretty quickly that there was a whole body underneath my chest, and that... woof. I was actually confused at first because I'd never touched a six-pack before so I was like "what the fuck is going on with my stomach" when I first felt it- I wasn't used to my body being so hard.
Blaise: The new core strength was incredible too- like, just sitting up felt better than it ever had before. And when I sat up and the blankets slid off of me and I saw my new body for the first time, I was shocked. I'd never seen someone with that many muscles in my life, and suddenly I had the best seat in the house. And by "best seat," I mean I had a dump truck ass.
Arsenio: Sounds like you were in bed for a minute then.
Blaise: A minute? Try two hours. I was alone with the body of my dreams and I could do anything with it, so I- well, you can probably guess what I did next.
Tumblr media
Arsenio: I bet I can and I would love to hear about it, maybe even see a demonstration, but I think we should move on before we get demonetized. When you finally got out of bed, did you recognize yourself when you looked in the mirror?
Blaise: Recognize myself? Dude, I basically creamed myself. Blaise was one of my biggest celebrity crushes and seeing that face staring back at me from the mirror... just, words can't even describe it. Having all of this body and the face to match? The beard? This jawline? These lips? I'm handsome as fuck.
Arsenio: Dude, I'm so jealous right now you have no idea. So you weren't scared that you'd woken up in a completely new body?
Blaise: I mean, I was confused, but I thought it was just me, you know? I thought it was some kind of Freaky Friday situation and I'd just been zapped into this body so like, he could learn a lesson about the meaning of Christmas or something. I didn't learn about the shift until later.
Arsenio: And then did you freak?
Blaise: Nah. I feel selfish when I say that because I know how scared so many people are, and I feel for them I really do, but I was excited. I wasn't really thinking about anybody else, I was just excited to be Blaise.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Arsenio: And so we're heading on over a year since the shift- how are you settling in to your new body? It's quite an impressive physique and you've maintained it well.
Blaise: Thanks- keeping up with the gym routine was definitely one of my top priorities. Letting a body like this go to waste would have been a tragedy.
Blaise: But to answer your question, I'm still not entirely used to this body yet, and honestly, I hope I never am. It's fun always feeling surprised, you know? I'll just be going about my day and then I'll catch a glimpse of myself in the mirror and remember that holy shit, I'm a fucking stud, and I get excited all over again. It hits me at the strangest times.
Tumblr media
Blaise: Muscles are cool because they're like... they're always there, you know? I get a little show every time I look down. And the thing about it is- I'm not bragging, this is just a fact -I'm so ripped now that a bit of bulging is inescapable. People are always saying that I'm a tease but half the time I don't even realize that I'm doing it, it's just a side effect of existing while being this hot.
Arsenio: Damn, and here I thought you were doing this especially for me. Well, it's nice to see that fame hasn't gone to your head!
Blaise: Haha, I mean, when the head looks this good, I can afford it!
Arsenio: I can't argue with that, that is one big beautiful head you've got there. Blaise really is just a stunning man.
Blaise: Aren't I? It's great. I was kinda nervous when I started being active on Blaise's accounts because at first I felt like I was impostor or something like that, but I knew I had to keep posting because people deserved to see this face. I get a lot of hate comments from people saying "you shouldn't be doing this" and stuff like that, but I block them out and focus on the positive ones. There's a lot more of those anyways.
Tumblr media
Blaise: It sounds shallow but like, as a hot guy, I hold a lot of power. I've been on the other side of the screen, looking through it at those gorgeous faces, so I'm very aware what an important escape a bit of thirst content can be. Now that I have this face, this body, I can make so many people happy just by taking some clothes off and posting a picture. Why wouldn't I want to do that?
Blaise: That's why the content shifted. Less comedy videos, more thirst, workout videos, photoshoots- the stuff people really wanted to see all along. I love sharing the gift of this body with the world.
Blaise: I don't take anything for granted anymore, I live my life to the fullest, and I want to invite all of my followers into that. Especially after everything the world has been through since the shift, I want people to be able to open up their phone, see this sexy smile, and know that it's possible to still be happy. That there's still beauty in the world.
Arsenio: Oh my god, Blaise, I didn't expect us to be getting so deep on this episode.
Blaise: Hey, I'm more than just a pretty face... I've got a great ass too.
Arsenio: That you do, Blaise, that you do. So, Blaise, let's lighten the mood a bit and jump to one of our listener's favorite sections- and if you've listened to the show before you know what I'm going to ask you next. What's your favorite part of being in your new body?
Blaise: My favorite part? I'll give you two guesses.
Tumblr media
Blaise: I love being a walking, talking gun show. Like I look down and I just think wow, I get to own these arms.
Arsenio: Yeah those are some killer pipes man.
Blaise: Dude you have no idea, I'm so fucking strong now. I'm still not over how like... round they are? It's like someone shoved a football under my skin, they tear my shirts if I'm not careful. I'm never gonna get tired of watching them flex.
Blaise: Every part of this body is great actually but I wanna give a special shoutout to my thighs actually- I'm thicker than a bowl of oatmeal. I just love having some meat on these bones, you know? I never skip a leg day.
Arsenio: Oh trust me, I can tell. And Blaise, you know I gotta ask because it's the question everyone's dying to know the answer to... how big is it?
Blaise: I'm gonna have to plead the fifth on that one actually- I'm currently in talks with a few different studios that have some ideas about how we can unveil that particular part of my new brand. But... let's just say that Blaise was a big boy, and he didn't disappoint. It's hard for me to make it through the day without fondling myself all the time, pun very much intended.
Blaise: This is so embarrassing but I actually had trouble pissing when I first got this body because every time I whipped my dick out to piss I'd get a boner from the sight of it- it's a grower, I'll tell you that much.
Arsenio: Damn, well, there you have it listeners! An exclusive!
Blaise: Oh god, I can just hear my publicist in my head screaming at me right now. Can you edit that out?
Arsenio: No, no, we are definitely leaving that in! This is the kind of content the people want to hear.
Blaise: Haha, well, I'm always happy to give the people what they want. But yeah, if you're really curious about what little Blaise looks like, keep an eye on my socials. Big things on the horizon... very big.
Arsenio: We'll be sure to put links to your accounts in the episode description. Moving on, I feel like I know the answer but here's one that we ask everybody: if you could switch back to your old body, would you?
Blaise: ...Sorry, what? I got distracted for a second.
Tumblr media
Arsenio: Yeah, that's what I thought. Anyways, Blaise, you know what's more exciting than waking up to find yourself in the body of a famous hunk? Today's sponsor, Squarespace...

One Piece Men Driving (you around)
monster trio
A/N: I don't know a lot about Kid but I thought I'd give a shot anyway :I I'm really sorry if he's OOC
LAW
Tumblr media
Would make a great get away driver honestly, like he genuinely has a great understanding of driving/the road and hardly ever gets lost and he knows you think that's hot
He drives SO FAST like WHERE ARE YOU GOING??? This man actively considers the speed limit a challenge
For that reason he's either always early or on time to pick you up...but somehow suspiciously late getting you home 😉
8/10 times he's in charge of the music, it depends on your taste and his mood honestly. If you don't have the same music taste, he'll grin and bear it because he loves you, really you're torturing this man
Yeah he drives really fast but never in a school zone or neighborhood, he takes that really seriously
Acts like it's a big pain to drive you around but secretly loves it and always claims he was headed that way even if he wasn't
Loves late night drives with you that end in some empty parking lot to talk for hours or make out or both
The two of your are menaces to late night convenience store clerks
Loves holding your hand or keeping a hand on your thigh while driving
Keeps his car pretty clean except for all the coffee cups and energy drink cans on the floor in the backseat that he thinks you don't notice
KID
Tumblr media
His car > you sorry not sorry
Drives a loud, obnoxious hot rod
Drives like a MANIAC and LOVES IT. Fuck it we ball, if y'all die then y'all die. This man is not afraid to take a risk and you know that
That being said he'd probably never put you in real danger
"Oh look, y/n there's some kids riding their bikes. LET'S HIT 'EM!!" does not actually hit the kids but definitely keeps a point score in his head as if he did. "You know I just missed 40 points for you, tricycles are worth more."
Doesn't let you drive it but thinks you look totally hot behind the wheel
Gets there when he gets there, babe, but wherever you're going you're going in style
Genuinely loves blasting the music when he's near you so you know he's on the way
The best part of driving with him is being obnoxiously loud and wild and free together
Acts like he's gonna crash just to mess with you a little
Drag races for sure
Secretly prefers your company over everyone else's while tinkering with the car y'all have definitely fucked on top of it like he just likes having you in presence while he works, it kind of puts him at peace
There's definitely some kind of detail that's an homage to you and any sort of decoration you buy that he can put in his car he will
ACE
Tumblr media
I'm so serious DO NOT distract this man
It takes every last brain cell he has not to fuck up
Like when he's alone he's fine, but as soon as another person's in the car with him he gets so distracted especially with you
He can't help it he's just so happy to see you and talk to you and look at you and whoops! There was the exit he was supposed to take
He's either picking you up a half an hour early or twenty minutes late there's no in between
Y'all share the music but he can listen to just about anything just don't put on anything boring
You already know the deal, if y'all end up going out to eat you're driving home because he's absolutely asleep
Definitely prefers back roads and intentionally takes the "long way" so he can spend more time with you
Of course there's a 50/50 chance y'all are gonna get real lost anyway so either way he's spending more time with you
Gets really embarrassed anytime he fucks up so don't backseat drive because it'll only make it worse
King of Normalize Hitting the Curb™️
Loves a good snack run

Tom Kaulitz x Thick Reader
Tumblr media
The literal definition of "crush my head between your thighs"
Hand on your thigh
AT ALL TIMES
never matters when, where, how
He don't give a shit
Lots of pictures of him with a smirk on his face as you look ready to slap him
Wanna know why?
He's copping a feel of your boob, his hand is just holding the side of it all proud in the pictures
He will take any chance to touch you
A proud boyfriend per se
Does not care who the hell sees him
Will gladly have a fucking make out session
If you're in the band, he probably will grab your ass on stage if your cool with that
Type of asshole to smack your ass a bit when you bend down
Tell him to stop and he will
But if you don't?
Be ready
He would love any body type you have
His head is gonna be buried in your boobs most of the time anyway
Or when your laying down on your stomach his head is probably on your ass
Or if you're laying on your side his head is on your hip
Will bite your stomach at any given time
If you wear crop tops, bikinis, short skirts, tight shirts or any tight clothing
Bitch turns almost into a full on dog in love
It's stupidly funny
Arms around your waist almost in every picture anyone has of y'all
Mostly has his hand in your back also or around the shoulder
Like Bill if you give gifts randomly, he will feel a bit guilty
But he will be happy and feel a little spoiled
He'll get you a gift in return as soon as possible
Physical touch is obviously a given
So if you hug him, touch him, kiss him or anything, he is in heaven
A literal goddess from above has blessed him
He ain't holding back mf
You ever feel insecure?
Boy feels offended FOR YOU
Doesn't let you talk bad about yourself
"Huh? The fuck do you mean?! Uh- you're complaining that you look fucking hot?!"
Bro is gobsmacked
Once he froze because you touched him and he didn't know it was you
Almost died but was happy when he turned to see you
When he first saw you he had to do a double take
"I want that one."
Followed you around like a puppy trying to get his shot
It was so funny seeing pictures of it after
Sit on his lap to make him happy
Will be insulted if you don't put your full weight onto him
Will hug you around your waist so you have no choice but too
Is in heaven smiling with his head over your shoulder
Bro is in MY version of heaven

Courting Disaster
Pairing: Loki x reader
Warnings: secret relationship, mild smut (nothing graphic yet), jealousy, disastrous blind dates, swearing, mentions of "escort"....
Summary: You are the cousin of THE Tony stark, so when you enter a relationship with the God of Mischief himself you are determined to keep it low-key much to his chagrin. But your lovers meddling brother has other plans......
***this story is in collaboration with the lovely @xorpsbane , we both had so much fun with The Auction we have decided to come together for another!!! We're looking at a minimum 4 parts, maybe 5. Hold on tight, it's gonna be a wild ride!!! 😏💚🤣
Part one-
Tumblr media
"Brother, for the last time I am not interested!" You heard as you walked into the common area, seeing Loki in his chair by the window and Thor on the couch. You walked to the kitchen grabbing a cup of coffee as the argument continued "Come now Loki it will be good for you. When was the last time your "royal staff" was polished?" Thor asked air quoting making you spit our your coffee. "Lady Stark, are you alright?" Thor asked while you choked on your coffee.
"Yes, yes I'm fine. What are you two talking about?" You asked sitting on the other couch. "Well, I was simply telling Loki he needs to get out, go on a few dates." He smiled "and I told my oaf of a brother I am not interested in dating." Loki scowled. "Loki, there are many women and men here on Midgard who would jump at the chance to be with you, I don't see the problem......unless.." Thor leaned forward eyeing him "unless what?" You asked looking between them "unless he is seeing someone I am unaware of...are you Loki?" He asked.
You saw Loki's eyes shift to you before settling back onto his brother. He had in fact been seeing YOU for the past six months but you told him you didn't want anyone to know, insisted upon it. Every few weeks he would come to you telling you he was tired of hiding his affections, he wanted to show everyone how much he cared for you, and as much as you hated it you had to deny him. You wanted to shout from the roof how much you loved him, but being related to Tony, and with their past history you knew he'd lose his shit and you couldn't let him send him away, you needed to protect him.
You heard Loki clear his throat "what does my personal life have to do with you Thor?" Loki asked glaring at him "you are aren't you!?" Thor shouted making you jump "who is she brother, do I know her?" He asked excitedly, he reminded you of a huge puppy. "I..." he trailed off, glancing at you again you heard him sigh "I am not courting anyone Thor." He said emotionless, you heart stung a little at the words. "Well then I'll make you a deal. If you go on four dates of my choosing and none of them work out, you shall never hear of this again." Thor smiled leaning back.
You looked at Loki expectantly, hoping he would make some excuse to not go when you saw a smile spread across his face "Alright brother, you have a deal." Loki said smugly crossing his arms. "Marvelous, I have just the lady for you Loki, ill tell her to meet you at 8 tonight." He smiled bouncing away. You turned back looking at Loki as he picked his book back up. "Umm what?" You snapped watching him turn the page "Yes darling?" He asked not looking up. "You can't be serious! We are.." you started when he snapped his book closed "we are what? Hiding, sneaking around?" He snapped back "if I refuse my brothers deal we could be exposed, he is rather relentless." He said standing up. "Now if you'll excuse me, I have a date to prepare for." He nodded leaving the room.
You sat in silence staring at your coffee, you wanted to go after him, tell him to call it off, tell everyone in ear shot that your were madly in love with Loki Laufeyson. But you didn't know what Tony would do, what any of them would do and you couldn't lose him, it would destroy you, but the thought of him meeting a woman more appealing then you devastated you. You got up tossing your remaining coffee in the sink when Tony came in "Hey kid, how are things?" He asked smiling "oh fuck off Tony." You said pushing past him. You just wanted to climb back in bed and pretend today never happened.
Tumblr media
Loki showed up at the restaurant to meet....Tina he believed her name was, in all honesty he couldn't really remember. He only agreed to these stupid dates to teach y/n a lesson, and hopefully push her to agree to make their relationship public. He was tired of hiding and hoped a little jealousy might nudge her in the right direction. So he donned his black suit, styled his hair and plastered on his best smile as he left the tower. He walked in recognizing the woman from the photo Thor showed him and walked over.
"Oh heeey, you must be Luke." She smiled "Loki actually. And you are?" He asked holding out his hand "Tina, but my friends call me TaTa." She winked adjusting her breasts "riiight...shall we?" He asked motioning to a table. He pulled out her chair "ooooh your such a gentleman, I hope not in the bedroom though." She said smirking as he sat down. He cleared his throat opening the menu "so, Luke..." She started "its Loki." He interrupted "right, Loki, how long you lived in New york?" She asked blowing a bubble with her gum, he'd only been here five minutes and he wanted to throttle her.
"I have lived here for a few years now, how about you?" He asked trying to be cordial "Oh, I've been here all my life, never wanted to go anywhere else." She said smiling. He looked her up and down, blonde hair, she has so much makeup on she looked like a circus clown, and her top was tight enough he's surprised her breasts didn't fall out. She made a loud pop with her gum bringing him back to reality "so, Thor is what...your brother?" She asked sliding her fingers up and down the stem of her wine glass "yes...adopted." he said matter of factly. "Oh, see I thought he was the one coming..." She said still smiling "sorry to disappoint you." He said setting his menu down.
"Oh, no Luke it's fine. A lay is a lay am I right?" She laughed grabbing his arm "Loki..and I beg your pardon?" He asked pulling his arm back "Well i mean dinner is ok first, as long as we get to the good stuff next." She winked. He sat staring at her "do..do you expect me to sleep with you?" He whispered making her laugh "Well duh, I mean your not really my type but you'll do." She said pressing her breasts up again. "Wait....are you a.." he motioned in the air with his hands "you got it sugar." She winked again as he rubbed his temples. "So, where you wanna do this at? Your place...my place...we could go to a hotel." She smiled as she kicked her heel off, stretching her leg under the table, her foot meeting his member.
Loki bolted up setting his napkin down "I'm sorry madam, but I must be leaving...urgent business you see." He smiled pulling his wallet out "I'll pay for dinner and your cab home." He said setting some money on the table pushing his chair in "Hey, let your brother know if he needs me again.." She said winking again "I shall relay the message, have a nice evening." He said nodding walking as fast as he could out of the restaurant.
Tumblr media
Thor was kicked back on the couch watching a movie when Loki stormed into his room "You buffoon, where did you find that woman!?" Loki huffed slamming the door. "I believe it's called the web, not the one the spiderling has, the one on my phone, Barnes helped me. Did your date not go well?" Thor asked watching him pace "not go well!? Thor, she was a...." Loki yelled waving his hands around "a what brother?" Thor asked confused. Sighing Loki rubbed his temples "how do i explain this so your small brain comprehends......ok, you know the pleasure maidens on Asgard?" Loki asked watching as the reality set into Thor's face "she's a..." Thor started "yes, she was. So I kindly took my leave." Loki said pacing again.
"My apologies Loki, I had no idea. I will try again." He smiled "three more Thor and that's it! I will not be made a fool of!" Loki yelled storming from the room slamming the door. "Big oaf, he's lucky he's my brother." Loki said to himself heading to the kitchen, tea was definately needed. "Hey Loki, how did it go?" He heard, turning his head seeing you sitting on the table. He cleared his throat fixing his tie "Oh it went marvelous, she was quite lovely." He smiled setting the kettle on.
"Loki, i..." you trailed off "Yes darling?" He asked watching you. "Nevermind, when's your next date?" You asked looking down. "I am not sure, when Thor sets it up I suppose." He said. "You know, I don't have to go if..." he started "Loki, you know we can't." You interrupted sighing. You were both silent as Loki finished his tea "Well I've had a long night, if you will excuse me I'm going to turn in." He said heading for his room "did you maybe...wanna come to my room?" You asked watching him. "Maybe tomorrow night, goodnight darling." He nodded heading to his room.
Loki made it to his room, using his siedr he changed into a dark green shirt and sweatpants. He laid down in bed staring at the ceiling, the whole night had been a nightmare. Remembering the look on your face when he returned he was sure "I can't wait to see the look on that oaf's face when she tells everyone." He said to himself smiling, closing his eyes he was confident that tomorrow you would put an end to this charade.

A clear reminder of how it began
Find the series masterlist
Domestic fluff and sass. You try to sneak something into the house, and Simon catches you at it.
This series is a loose fit series, meaning these are not in any particular order. All the same couple, though. Also meaning I'm dropping y'all straight into an established relationship.
Warnings: Swearing and sass, a little suggestive language at the end.
Word count: 494
Tumblr media
“Need help with the groceries?”
The question shouldn't have startled you. Simon asked every time you did the shopping without him. But you still blinked guiltily, shifting your weight, one hand behind your back. “No, it's okay, I'm just gonna put my puree down and grab the rest.”
Not entirely a lie. There were only two more bags, you'd easily grab them on the next trip.
But it was more that you were trying to sneak past him, a little bit.
You almost managed it, too. Except he turned to look at you. And instantly clocked the awkward way one hand was behind your back.
“Don't tell me.” Caught somewhere between dismay and amusement, Simon raised one eyebrow at you.
“Alright. I won't tell you.” Your own lips twitched in response, though you tried to maintain a neutral expression.
Simon sighed, more for show than out of real emotion, and stood, stalking over to you. You finally pulled the plant from behind your back to avoid squishing it.
“I thought we agreed no more.”
“They were trying to kill it!” You defended, pouting at him. “Look at this.” You held out the plastic holder to him, white-lined leaves rattling a little.
Simon humored you, taking the plant. His eyebrows both shot up as he realized the same thing you had. The poor plant was bone dry, entirely too light for its size.
His sigh was his surrender.
“Don't have space for it,” he grumbled, even as he stepped back and handed the plant back to you.
“I'll find a space.” Bolder now, you left it on the kitchen counter with the rest of the groceries, intending to go back and grab the last two bags.
“Didn't agree to live in a nursery,” he grumbled, amusement clear in his tone.
“Sure you did,” you teased right back without missing a beat. “When you married me.”
“Is that what I agreed to?”
“Yup. It was right in there with the love and cherish bit.”
Simon snorted, and when you came back in he was busy putting away the perishables. “Shoulda warned me sooner.”
“Nah, much more fun to let you find out on your own.” The front door closed gently behind you.
His teeth flashed in a brief, predatory grin. Your heart stilled and then thumped hard. You knew that expression. “I can think of things I'd rather find out.”
You swallowed, eyeing the distance between the two of you. You were closer to the bedroom than he was. You had half a chance of making it. “And what exactly do you have in mind?”
The only warning you had was the brief sight of those teeth again before he swiped at you, big hand just missing grabbing the front of your shirt. You yelped and bolted, groceries forgotten in your dash to the bedroom.
After all, the point wasn't to get away. The point was to get somewhere you wouldn't end up with rug burn.

“This is the fourth time this week everyone has left before you,” Luke said as he walked past your desk, stopping to one side. He had his bag slung over his shoulder and a hoodie pulled on over his button-up. He looked so comfy and cozy but you hadn’t even turned back to look at him so you didn’t get a chance to admire his casual state.
“I’m behind on paperwork,” You dismissed before you flicked through the files. You looked over what you had written, relatively satisfied with the work that you had done for now. There was still a million other cases that needed reports written up but you tried not to think too hard about it.
Instead, you then nudged back in your chair to get up and grab a coffee. The coffee was the only thing that was power you through the days at the moment. Between the insomnia, the fear of sleeping and the desperate attempts to distract yourself with work, you didn’t really get as much sleep as you probably should have been getting.
“Oh, come on,” He said, “You sure that’s the reason?” You rolled your eyes and got out of your chair, heading towards the kitchenette. But before you could even take a step, Luke grabbed a hold of your wrist. He pulled you back slightly, forcing you into his personal space.
“Yes, that’s the reason.” You didn’t want to deal with this right now. Luke was lovely but if he kept digging, he was gonna find shit he didn’t like and you didn’t want him to find. But his grip on your arm didn’t let up despite your words.
“So paperwork is why you’ve been so snappy this week?” He asked curiously. He cocked an eyebrow and your head shot back. The surprise was written across your features and that made him smirk. He knew that something was wrong but everyone else seemed convinced that everything was okay. But he knew you. He knew that something was up.
He chuckled and tugged you towards him slightly, letting go of your wrist, “Yeah, I noticed. So, what’s going on?” You didn’t know what to say and so, simply shrugged. You and Luke were friends and you were definitely attracted to him - it was hard not to be considering he was built like a Greek fucking god - but you didn’t want him to know. You hadn’t told Emily, JJ or Spencer so you weren’t going to spill your guts to the (not so) new guy.
“Just had a bad week. Now can I get coffee?” You had attempted to soften your voice but you knew that the annoyance was still coating every single word that came out of your mouth. It wasn’t directed at him, more at his unrelenting stubborn nature. It was good sometimes but not right now. Not when you wanted to be distracted.
“What about a drink?” He asked. You shook your head. You then turned to walk to the coffee machine again but Luke’s voice made you stop.
“I get it,” He said. Your eyebrows pulled together, “Not wanting to talk about it, avoiding it, throwing yourself in the deep end just to stop yourself from thinking about it. If you don’t wanna talk about it, that’s fine. But this ain’t gonna make it any better.” You let out a ragged sigh. Was it really that obvious? Were you that obvious? You lifted your hand up to your face, rubbing your eyes. The tears were threatening to spill but you couldn’t do that. Not here and not in front of him.
“I don’t kn-” You began, trying anything to get him off your back but he interrupted you before you had the chance to finish;
“You’re on a team of profilers,” He explained simply. You ran your tongue across your teeth before you squeezed your eyes shut. You were really glad that your back was too him because you weren’t sure you could have kept up your composure if he was looking at you.
“Like I said, it’s just been a bad week,” You decided, glancing back at him for just a second. Luke narrowed his eyes but didn’t bother to push it. You were clamming up the more he insisted and so he took a step back. He put his hands up. “Alright. Just get some rest tonight, okay?” Those were his parting words and you didn’t know what to say. So, you simply nodded and walked over to the coffee machine. You probably wouldn’t get much sleep but you hadn’t been getting much anyway.
So, it honestly wouldn’t change a single thing. Luke didn’t need to know you were sleep-deprived and nobody else seemed to have noticed your shift in mood which meant that you were home-free. You could keep going and everything would be fine.
If you were at work, you didn’t have to think about the anxiety dreams or the worry you felt for your mom or how much you missed your dad. If you just sat at the desk, you didn’t have to worry about anything but making sure your reports were as accurate as your memory.
-
As much as you tried to hide it, Luke noticed that your bad week quickly turned into a bad month. But he didn’t want to push it. He had a pretty good idea of what you were going through even if you hadn’t admitted it to him and he knew that you would talk when you wanted to. He knew that questioning you made you clam up and he wanted you to be better. He didn’t want to make it worse so he kept an eye on you.
You continued to stay late and he let himself stay just a little later too to make sure that you were okay. He glanced over at you when nobody was looking to make sure that you weren’t spiralling. You seemed okay most of the time. You laughed, smiled and joked like nothing had changed but he knew that something wasn’t right. You were distracting yourself and he wanted to help but he didn’t know how.
So, he simply did the little things. Sometimes he’d come in early and find your coffee mugs still on the desk with bits of coffee leftover from your late night paperwork filing. He’d take the dirty dishes and wash them up before setting up his own desk for the day. He didn’t know how to approach you and so his gestures went unspoken between the two of you. Nobody else seemed to notice your sudden change in behaviour.
Apparently, you, Tara, Emily, JJ and Penelope had gone on a girl’s night and you had been fine. Though, you had been the designated driver so none of the girls had really been in a state to judge your character. But there was a faux fondness to how you spoke about the night yet Luke could see through it. You knew that he could.
You noticed what he was doing for you, he cleaned up your desk before you got in, he made you cups of coffee, he brought you lunch when you forgot it. He was talking to the girls about you and you appreciated it but you also hated it.
It wasn’t because it was him. In fact, some part of you loved that he cared enough about you. The part of you that had been crushing on him from the moment he joined the Unit was singing and dancing at the fact that he was paying this much attention but you didn’t want it. You didn’t want him to worry, you didn’t want him to think about you. You didn’t want him to know that you were depressed but he knew.
Thankfully, the cases kept coming in and you’d get a few hours on the jet and you’d stay up working the cases until they were done. Knowing Luke knew that something was wrong just added another thing to worry about so the more cases you went on as the month drew past, the later you’d stay. The more determined you’d be to finish the case.
Like right now, you were determined to get this case done once and for all. You’d been down in New Orleans for the past few days working on a string of home invasion homicides. You were working on the assumption that the guy was a family annihilator but you were stumped. The entire team was stumped.
There were no connections between the families. The guy crossed race lines which was considered unusual in cases like this. There didn’t seem to be any rhyme or reason to what he was doing and it was driving the whole team up the wall. Everyone had taken off already to go get some sleep in the hotel room but you hadn’t yet. You were still mulling over the case file with a warm cup of coffee in your hand.
The PD station coffee was frankly awful but it had enough caffeine to keep you buzzed for hours. It made it easier to focus on the case, not think about what would happen when you fell asleep. It also meant that you could still talk to your dad even if he was across the country.
You flicked through the case files with your free hand as you took a sip of the coffee. It had been going on for months and nobody was close to finding a lead.
There were multiple days between his kills and realistically, he could have been holding the families but that just didn’t seem plausible to you or the rest of the team. His cool-down hadn’t decreased even with the news that the FBI was in town which meant that the team had time to work the case without the body count getting too high. It was a relief but you were all still trying so hard to understand this guy, profile him and find whoever it was.
But it wasn’t exactly going well.
You had placed your coffee down to flick through some crime scene photos but when you went to pick up the mug again, it was gone. Your eyebrows furrowed. Surely you weren’t that tired already. You glanced around the table before you looked up to see Luke stood in the doorway of the conference room with your mug in his hand.
“Didn’t you go back to the hotel?” You asked.
You knew why he was here but if you played innocent, you could get out of this alive. It would be fine and there would be no questions about how you were, why you weren’t sleeping. You’d just be free to work this case and present what you had theorised to everyone in the morning.
“Yeah, you see, I did but then JJ said that you were still here. So, I’m cutting you off,” He said simply, placing the cup of coffee on the table on the outside of the conference room. You stared at him, blinking slowly.
With a shake of your head, you returned to the case files. You flicked through more photos and grabbed the list of offenders that the office had given over. Reid had already read through all the files and nothing seemed to stand out but you were hoping you’d notice something that boygenius didn’t. You wouldn’t but you could hope.
Luke pulled up a chair next to you. He glanced over what you were looking at, trying to decipher what your mess of documents meant. He wasn’t about to admit it but he had been watching you for the past five or so minutes before he snatched up your mug. You kept huffing and sighing and scribbling and flicking photos around.
He knew you and he knew that those rapid movements meant that you were figuring something out and he wanted to know what.
“So, what’s your angle?” He asked curiously. You sighed and pulled your jacket off, discarding it on the chair beside you. With Luke here, you just knew that it was going to be a long night. Whether you talked about your mental state or not was to be seen but for now, you wanted to focus on the case. Not him, not you. Just the Unsub.
“Are we really doing this?” You retorted, “Don’t you need to get some sleep?”
“Tell me what you got,” He reiterated. You glanced at him and then the files again before you gave in. It really was going to be a long night.
“So, we’re working on the assumption he’s a family annihilator which yeah, that works. But what if the rest of the family are just collateral?” Luke hummed, urging you to go on. You flipped through the crime scene photos you had been looking at and spread them out in front of the two of you. You began to talk him through your new angle;
“He had a few days between cool-downs even with our presence which means he’s a lot calmer than we would expect from an annihilator. Mission-orientated, probably. Not even the FBI presence is gonna sway him away from his goal. There’s no sign of speeding up until he gets to his endgame. He isn’t driven by media coverage or anything seemingly egotistical. It’s the mission. His mission. But he’s crossing race lines. If he’s going after families because of, let’s say, his trauma. An abusive parent, parents, siblings or somehow he was wronged by his family. Then, why would he cross race-lines? None of these families really have much in common. They’re all cookie-cutter suburban families but they all look different.” Luke nodded along to your assumptions, flicking through the photos that you had been looking at.
“Maybe that’s his problem,” Luke posed. You let out a ‘mhm’ and flicked through the crime scene photos that you were both looking at.
“But we already ran through that scenario and it just doesn’t make sense. In family annihilator cases, it’s usually the father that’s killed last. I know that’s not always the case but that’s the precedent. Fathers have the the most power so our unsubs usually want to see them broken down by witnessing every single member of their family die. But in this case, the ME said that it was the mother who was killed last. The father was killed first, then the kids and then the mother, hours later,” You continued but Luke was quick to interject;
“We assumed that he was letting the mother bleed out hence the difference in time of death.” You tapped your finger against the pictures of the beds where all the mothers were found. The sheets were drenched in blood, marks splattered everywhere..
“And I still think that’s right but I think it’s more than that. I don’t think he just let them bleed out. I think he either sat and watched them bleed out or he tortured them for the hours before finally letting them bleed out.” Luke nodded.
“But that doesn’t explain why he crossed race-lines. If he was going after a particular woman, he would stick to a type,” Luke challenged. You nodded and went to reach for your coffee, forgetting that Luke had taken it away. He gave you a look that you decided to ignore, flicking back to the information that Penelope had sent you over on the tablet.
“Garcia sent these over before she headed home for the night. Dating profiles for all the women that were killed,” You flicked through them, giving Luke a moment to take them all in. Garcia had sent them over just as everyone else had gone to the hotel but you had decided to go through them since you knew that you weren’t gonna sleep. Part of you also hoped that it would lead to a breakthrough, a suspect of some sort. You weren’t so lucky but, “All of these women were cheating on their husbands. Garcia found some encrypted chat logs and the night that their families were killed coincided with a night where these women cheated.” Luke fell back in his chair, looking at you.
“So, whoever they were with is our guy?” He suggested. You shook your head.
“No, I don’t think so. Garcia said they all met with different men but someone who knows what these women are up to, didn’t like it. Enough to kill them and their families.” You finished. Luke nodded his head and he shuffled forward, sliding the tablet towards him so he could flick through the text and call logs that Garcia had managed to uncover, “See why I was still here?” The case wasn’t really why you were still here but you hoped that you had managed to convince him.
“We need to work this angle. This is a whole new set of parameters,” He stated. You nodded, glad that he seemed to have forgotten the reason that he came here at all.

The jet was quiet and everyone else had fallen asleep except you and Emily. You were flicking aimlessly through your tablet at the table with Emily sat across from you. Garcia had sent over some comic book pages for you to read since you had been desperate for something to distract your sleep-deprived mind. But you didn’t get much further than the first set of strips before Emily spoke up;
“You did good work today,” She said. You looked up and sent her a tired smile. It was clear that you were exhausted. All of you were exhausted but considering you had spent most of the previous night awake with Luke, it was hitting you hard.
“Thanks,” You said softly. Emily smiled, reaching out to squeeze your hand. The touch was comforting and you felt your shoulders sag a little.
“I know you’re tired, you should get some rest,” She insisted. You shrugged and glanced back down at your tablet. You knew, logically, that you should sleep but the thought of it just made you feel anxious. You knew that it was ridiculous, sleep was good but you had been getting weird, anxiety fuelled dreams all month. You really didn’t want anymore.
“I’ll be okay ‘till we get home,” You retorted. Emily sighed and she glanced around the jet before looking back at you again.
“We don’t have to talk about whatever it is that’s bothering you but I need to know that you’re okay. You’re one of the best members of this team and I need you to be feeling up to this,” Emily said. Her tone had softened significantly and her hand was still rested over yours. You glanced towards Luke who was asleep on the seat across from the table. You frowned.
“I’m up to this, I’m just tired,” You responded. Part of you wanted to spill your guts out to Emily. It was Emily, after all. You had known her for years and when you had first joined the BAU, you had became fast-friends. But something was stopping you from telling her. You didn’t know what it was but you just couldn’t bring yourself to say it.
“Well, if you ever want to talk about what’s going on, you know I’m here,” Emily said. You nodded and she retracted her hand from you. The brunette then shuffled backwards so that her head was rested against the side of the plane. It seemed that she was just as exhausted as the rest of the team.
-
When you had agreed to go out with JJ to the bar for a few (probably too many) drinks after another in the latest line of incredibly demoralising case, you hadn’t expected for most of the team to have joined the pair of you. Usually, when you went out, it was just the girls. Tara only sometimes joined and Spencer and Alvez rarely did. Spencer preferred his own apartment and Luke liked to get some sleep in so he could get Roxy early the next morning. That was usually the case.
But not tonight.
When you walked into the bar after having changed at your apartment, you faltered at the sight of everyone at the table. Well, you faltered at the sight of Luke with his back to you and a bottle of beer in front of him.
There was nothing wrong with Luke being here, obviously there wasn’t but you got touchy when you were drunk. You knew that while your sober self didn’t cross the bounds of friendship with Luke, your drunk self would completely obliterate that line if they had the chance.
You took a moment to assess the situation from the door. Garcia had her usual fruity cocktail that was always a dangerous choice of drink, Emily was nursing a whiskey on the rocks, Spencer and JJ both seemed to have vodka-cokes. Alvez had a half-finished beer in front of him and Tara had a glass of wine.
Nobody seemed to have drunk too much yet which meant that you weren’t about to walk into a battle zone. You hesitantly stood at the door but before you spiralled any further, JJ spotted you. Her face lit up and she waved you over with a grin.
“What took you so long?” JJ asked as she patted the seat between her and Luke. It was clear that it had been saved for you. If you had a choice, you would have not chosen to be so close to Luke. The drunker you got, the more touchy you would get and you didn’t want to risk Luke being at the end of that.
But you didn’t want to make a fuss so you simply accepted your fate. You just prayed that your drunken self would have some self-restraint for once in their goddamn life. But that was really unlikely considering.
“Needed to pick the right outfit,” You shrugged with a wry smile sent her way. You had decided on a short black skirt and a long-sleeved cream bodysuit that showed your cleavage off. Realistically, you had been dressing up for the girls and you always dressed better when you expected it to just be the girls. But now everyone had a view of it, so you had to own the look even if your confidence was wavering a little.
“It was Luke’s round,” Tara said, “So, go get the girl a drink.” Tara had a smile on her face before she took a sip of wine. Luke rolled his eyes and then looked to you, for your order. You were suddenly paralysed by the choice.
“I’ll go look what they have,” You said quickly. Luke nodded and as you got up so did he, “What are you doing?” You asked after a beat, confusing lacing your tone.
“It’s my round,” He stated as if you were being stupid which quite frankly you were. Of course Luke would come with you but part of you was worried about being alone with him. He could always see right through you so would he call you out? Would he notice how jittery you felt? A familiar pit of dread was forming in your stomach at the thought.
JJ and Emily exchanged knowing glances before you nodded, sucking up your pride. You and Luke headed up to the bar and you leant against it, checking out the spread of alcohol. You didn’t even consider that it was pushing your cleavage up and you didn’t notice how Luke quickly averted his gaze away from you.
You ran your tongue across your teeth, pursing your lips as you contemplated your drink choice. Realistically, you knew that you shouldn’t get too drunk but you also needed to. Alcohol made the pit of anxiety practically disappear and it meant that you could act more like a normal human being. So, you needed something strong and something that would get you drunk quickly. Especially if you were going to be sat next to Luke for most of the night.
You glanced back at the group as Penelope took a sip of her fruity cocktail. You were pretty sure it was a sex on the beach and you realised that maybe a cocktail was the way to go.
They were dangerous little things and you weren’t entirely sure what it was but a cocktail always got you drunk the fastest out of every drink you’d tried. You glanced over at the menu, written on the blackboard on the other side of the bar, searching the menu before you decided. A Woo Woo was probably the best way to go.
“You, uh, look nice,” Luke said after a beat of silence. You hadn’t even realised he had spoken at first before your brain seemed to slowly catch up. You sent him an awkward smile.
“Thanks.” You didn’t know what else to say. Luke was never really one to compliment anyone and you couldn’t help the way your stomach flipped. It wasn’t uncommon for Luke’s attention to make you feel squirmy but you were really trying not to think about it.
After another moment of contemplate, you gave Luke your order and the two of you waited in awkward silence before the cocktail was placed in front of you. You smiled at the bartender and the two of you headed back to your seat. The rest of the group were chatting as you two sat down. Garcia stopped mid-conversation with Spencer when she spotted your cocktail.
“You’ve joined me!” She exclaimed excitedly. You chuckled and nodded your head.
“They’re dangerous but I think it’d be worth it.” The wry smile on your face seemed to grow and even under the watchful eye of Luke, you managed to keep the anxiety at bay for now. It was hard to ignore the growing anxiety in your gut but the second that the alcohol touch your lips, you began to calm down.
But you would quickly learn by the end of the night that cocktails truly were dangerous. As the night crawled to a finish, you were just a little bit gone. Not so gone that you blacked out but you were pretty gone.
The alcohol had killed your anxiety and the good company of your friends reminded you that some friends were worth your time and effort. The lingering dark cloud had let up and you had spent so much of the night talking about comics or sharing facts with Spencer or (jokingly) flirting with JJ. The filter between your mouth and your brain had completely eroded and whatever you were thinking was spilling out. Your usual overthinking had been killed off completely
The alcohol also meant that when Emily and JJ had asked you to get on the dance floor, you had actually done it. It took not even a second of convincing before you said ‘fuck it’ and joined them. Then one of your favorite songs came on and you danced and sang with the pair. All your inhibitions and anxieties floating away as you belted out the lyrics. Eventually, Garcia joined the three of you, cocktail in hand and a grin on her face. Then, after a little convincing from you and Garcia, Luke joined you too.
You had gotten a lot more touchy with Luke throughout the night and although some part of you was still sober enough not to completely let your guard down, you weren’t being as defensive as you had been recently with him.
You held his hand to drag him around the dance floor, you sang at him with a grin on your face and he even held onto your waist when you went up to the bar. Though, you both pretended it was under the pretense of protecting you from any creeps who tried to hit on you,
But eventually, after the group had tired with dancing, you returned to the table where you scooched closer to Luke than your sober self would have. But your drunk self used the excuse that he was warm and his laugh was cute and you liked holding his arm and resting against him as the drunkenness turned into sleepiness.
Your sober self felt a little guilty about how touchy you were the next day but your drunken self really didn’t care. Usually, JJ or Emily became victim to your touchiness and your bursts of affection but Luke had fallen victim tonight.
He had only had a beer or two by the end of the night so while you were gone, he was basically completely sober and fully aware of how care-free and touchy you had become. Usually, you could get away with it more because JJ and Emily would both be drunk too. But not tonight and your drunken self hadn’t even considered that.
The only reason he chose to keep basically sober was to make sure that everyone got home safe and while in your drunken state, you thought it was incredibly adorable, your hungover self hated him for it.
When the night drew to a close, the bartender called for last orders and everyone slowly began to filter out of the bar. Everyone was at different stages of drunk but Spencer got a cab with Emily and JJ to make sure they got home safe since he hadn’t drunk too much. Tara and Garcia grabbed one together since Garcia was a lot more gone than Tara was.
But that left you with Luke whose car was in the garage a few blocks over. He was also completely sober by this point.
You had hugged everyone as they went out - even Spencer - and by the time they were all gone, the sadness had settled back into your chest. It was only made worse by the alcohol that heightened the emotions you were already having
“Come on, let me take you home,” Luke said as he pulled his jacket on. You looked up at him, tears brimming your eyes before you nodded. He frowned but you didn’t give him a chance to ask what was wrong before you were walking out of the bar.
It was colder than it had been when you headed out and you were shivering as you sped ahead of Luke. You wanted to get to his car as soon as possible, you didn’t want to have to think about him or how lonely you were or about how sad you were and the quicker you got home, the easier that would be.
“Hey!” Luke called from behind you, “You’re going the wrong way.” You paused in your steps, frowning deeper. Your plan had been thwarted by fate and you looked around, slightly confused. Then you turned around and he practically ran into you.
“Watch it,” You muttered. You waited for him to indicate which direction to walk but instead, he looked down at you, silently observing you, “What are you looking at?” You almost snapped. You weren’t angry with him but the frustration was building in your chest. You wanted to go home and you were cold. Your shoulders were hunched, the cold air seeping into your skin. You really didn’t dress for this weather and it was fucking freezing. And the more he stood and gawked at you, the colder it was gonna get.
“You cold?” He asked. You nodded, staring at the pavement as you waited for him to move. You didn’t have the energy for this anymore, “Don’t argue.” You lifted your head and stared at the jacket he was holding out to you. You scrutinized him for a moment. “I said don’t,” He reminded as you opened your mouth to rebuke his offer.
With a huff you took the jacket, “Thanks,” You muttered. He nodded and once you had it on, he gestured for you to follow him.
The two of you walked in silence down the block.
Your mind was full of too many thoughts to make anything coherent but the more you walked, the more tears began to build in your eyes. All you could think about was your dad being on the other side of the country and that your mom hated when he was away and that your friends had been off with you all month but you didn’t know why. You missed your dad and you wanted your best friend to just come and see you and hug you but you weren’t that lucky. Instead, she dodged your texts and avoided any plans to meet up with you. Of course you respected that but it didn’t make it hurt any less.
And then you were crying.
“Woah, hey, hey,” Luke quickly stopped the two of you. You swiped the tears away from your face, giving him a teary smile and hoping that he wouldn’t question you. He didn’t need to know about this. You couldn’t tell him but also you knew that if he asked you would spill your guts, “What’s up? You’ve been off all month. You gonna tell me what’s going on or are we just gonna ignore it again?” You stared down at your feet, kicking the pavement, “Please.”
“I wish I could ignore it,” You mumbled bitterly. Those words just seemed to make it worse and before you even knew it, tears were slipping down your face again. When you glanced up, Luke was frowning which only seemed to break you more, “I’m really fucking lonely, Luke. My best friend from home, she just doesn’t seem to want to be my friend anymore and I don’t know what to do about it. What am I supposed to do? I just want to see her and hug her and I want her to tell me that she does still care about me but that just doesn’t seem to be the case. And like, logically, I know that she’s busy and she’s got this new boyfriend which seems to be really serious but it’s so fucking lonely. And, and I’m just so tired all the time but I can’t sleep because if I sleep-” Your voice cracked at that, tears spilling down your face, “then then I get these horrible like dreams and I know that they’re just anxiety dreams. I know that none of it’s true but it’s so hard. I don’t- I don’t know what I’m supposed to do and I just wanna talk to my dad but I can’t and my mom’s health is just getting worse and my dad is in fucking Olympia looking after his parents and I’m like fucking 30 so it shouldn’t be this hard but it is and everything is just making it so hard to sleep. Like why would I wanna sleep if I’m just getting pseudo nightmares but I need to sleep. But I frankly sleep like shit anyway and I’m tossing and turns for hours and-”
You abruptly cut yourself off with a sob, “I’m so tired,” You choked out. Your hand moved to cover your mouth as your shoulders shook and the tears raced down your cheeks. Your vision was blurry and when you looked up at Luke, he was just a splodgy figure. You felt like you couldn’t breathe and it was all too much.
Luke grabbed your shoulders and pulled you into his chest and something about his warm comfort made it worse.
You completely broke and sobbed even harder. Your whole body shook with every ugly sound that fell from your lips as you gripped onto the back of Luke’s shirt. You didn’t understand why you were so upset and you knew that you would regret the alcohol in the morning. And the thought of having to deal with this in the morning just made you sob harder.
“I’m sorry,” You managed between sobs. Luke hushed you softly, running his hand down your back in soothing circles, “It never gets easier-” You got out, “I thought it would get easier.” Luke frowned, “Why isn’t it easier?” You continued to blubber as you sobbed against his chest. He hushed you again, resting his head against yours.
“It’s okay,” He insisted softly. You shook your head against him, gripping onto him tighter. You felt ridiculous, you knew you were ridiculous but you couldn’t stop yourself. None of this was okay and the second that thought came to your head you sobbed even harder.
“It’s not okay,” You blubbered, “I’m sorry, I don’t know what’s wrong, I just want to be okay, I’m sorry,” Luke kept a hold of you, holding you through your blubbers of apologies as you sobbed and shook against his chest. He didn’t know what else to do other than hold you. Snot was dripping from your nose and you were breathing raggedly, barely able to get oxygen in between the sobs. But he didn’t care, he just held you.
It took a few minutes but between his soothing words and soft hushes, you managed to calm down. The tears began to dry up and you squeezed your eyes shut, taking a few more deep breaths to calm down your system.
You let out a mumble of apologies but he shook his head, “Come on, let’s get you home, it’s not safe out here.” His voice had softened significantly and you nodded, trying to control the sobs as you slowly pulled away from him. He lifted his hand up to wipe the tears from your cheek and he gave you a soft smile. His skin against yours soothed you and the way he was looking at you made your stomach flip in that funny way.
Part of you wanted to kiss him right in that moment but you couldn’t even if your faces were only inches apart. You weren’t going to do that to him. That would be weird and made going to work tomorrow even more awkward than it was going to be.
He stepped back from you and the two of you then walked up to where his car was parked and he opened the passenger side door for you. You slipped inside and settled into the seat. It wasn’t until that moment that you realized you were surrounded by the smell of him. It seemed to keep the tears at bay for now.
The jacket smelt like him, the car smelt like him and the quiet as Luke strapped himself - and you - in gave you time to think. Too much time and you began to think about how nice Luke was being and how nice he smelt but that you could never find someone like him. That you were going to be alone forever and the tears began to fall again.
You tried to keep it in but it was hard. Luke noticed almost instantly, a frown spreading across his face. He leant over the center console to try and get you to look at him but you turned away. You used your fingers to wipe away the tears and he moved back into the driver’s seat.
Part of him wanted to get you to talk about it but you were drunk, vulnerable and not in the right mindset. So, he asked if you could give him directions to your place and you nodded, face still turned away. Once the car started, you quietly directed him through the streets and he parked up in front of your apartment building. You both got out of the car and he watched as you typed in the code for your building.
“You don’t have to walk me to my apartment door,” You muttered. The crying had sobered you up a little and the guilt was creeping in. You wanted him to walk you to your apartment, you wanted him to stay with you but you didn’t want him to feel like he had to.
“I’d feel better walking you” He retorted. You nodded and the two of you walked into the building together. Your arms wrapped around yourself. His jacket kept you warm and you used it to cover your front, already feeling too emotionally exposed.
You gave the security guard a smile and a nod of your head as you walked to the elevator. Luke kept close to you, glancing around but neither of you said anything as you got into the elevator. The tears had dried up on the drive again but everything was just too much. As you stood in the elevator, your thoughts were left to wonder again. You let out a sudden sob, shoulders shaking as you tightened your arms around torso. Luke’s head snapped to you and within a second, he had pulled you into him again. The guilt, anxiety and sadness swirled in your gut and you blubbered out apologies.
But the tears kept coming and the sadness turned into frustration with yourself. You rested your forehead against his chest as you sobbed and tried to control your breathing but it was impossible, “Why do I keep crying?” You sobbed, frustrated and sad. He couldn’t help the soft laugh that escaped his lips.
“You’ve drunk too much,” He said simply. You rolled your eyes, tears spilling down your cheeks before you let out another choked sob-chuckle. Luke was so comforting and he held you, keeping an eye on the floor that you were on.
“I just miss my dad y’know,” You mumbled against his chest, holding back the sob. He nodded and rubbed your back softly.
You took a shaky breath. You couldn’t sob again. You needed to keep it together and so, as the floors ticked by, you kept taking deep breaths. You kept trying to make yourself better. By the time the elevator doors opened for your floor, you felt a little better.
You led Luke towards your apartment door, “I can’t believe I’m fucking crying over my dad at 30. It’s pathetic,” You mumbled softly. Luke shook his head and watched as you tried to open the door. Despite the fact that the sobs had stopped, your vision was still blurry and the drinks were making it hard to get the key in the door. Your hands just wouldn’t stop shaking no matter how much you tried to get them to stop.
“Let me,” He offered, holding his hand out for the key. You passed them over to him without even a second of thought and stepped back, wrapping your arms around yourself again, “Do you need me to come in or are you okay?” He asked once he had managed to get the door open. You stared at him for a moment before looking at your apartment. You then stared at your feet.
Luke could see the thoughts running through your head, “You don’t have to let me in.” You knew that. You knew that he wouldn’t be offended. But it was whether you wanted to be alone that was really playing on your mind. You hated being left alone with your thoughts but you still felt guilty for ruining the end of his night.
“You don’t have to but I don’t wanna be alone yet. So, could you come in?” You requested. He nodded and then gestured for you to head inside. He walked in behind you, closing the door and putting the keys on the side. Your apartment was probably the cleanest it had been in a while. Ever since you started implementing random boxes that you could put stuff in to sort out at a later date, everything was much cleaner. But you weren’t really thinking about that when you walked in. You didn’t even think about the fact that Luke had never seen your apartment before.
“Want a glass of water?” He asked. You nodded, brushing your tears away with the edge of your thumbs. You felt so silly.
“I’m just gonna go change,” You mumbled. He nodded as he wandered over to your kitchen. He then began to search the cupboards for a glass while you stripped out of your clothes in the bedroom. You hung Luke’s jacket on the back of your door before adding the jeans and bodysuit to your dirty washing basket. You hadn’t even thought that you should probably give his jacket, your mind too distracted with everything else that was swirling in a dangerous tsunami through your brain.
You grabbed a pair of pajama pants from the clean basket and pulled them on before you grabbed the Metallica shirt that you liked to wear to bed. It used to be your dad’s and he had given it to your years ago while you were in college. You had kept it ever since and wore it whenever you missed him. Like tonight.
You headed back out of the bedroom to see that Luke had a glass of water ready for you. He placed it down on the counter just as you reappeared. He took in your appearance and he seemed to pause for a moment. Though you didn’t think much about it, more concerned with getting to the glass of water. Your throat was dry and the crying had started to give you a headache.
“You into Metallica?” He asked. You shrugged and picked up the glass of water.
“My dad is more of a fan than me but I’ll listen occasionally,” You responded with a small smile on your face. When you were younger, your car rides were filled with Metallica, Iron Maiden, AC/DC, all the classics. Your dad loved listening to them and you had grown to love them just the same. Not so much now that you were older, but still.
“A man of good taste,” Luke said as he watched you fiddle with the glass. You then took a long sip of water before downing the entire glass. You clearly needed it and you were quick to refill the glass before Luke could get the chance to offer.
So, he took the opportunity to glance around your apartment. He noticed the boxes of random stuff but didn’t say anything. He wasn’t sure if much of the team had seen your apartment but it was neat. It smelt just like you and it was like someone had taken your personality and thrown it at an apartment. All of it screamed: you.
There were bookshelves of books, CDs, collectable vinyls and comics. Each shelf was decorated with trinkets that you had collected over the years. Pop figures, figurines from when you were younger, silly little things that your mum bought you for Christmas. It was so you.
He would say that your apartment was worse than Penelope’s but nothing could beat the well-loved clutter of Penelope Garcia’s life. You were more modest in your love but plants, posters and paintings still hung in every part of your apartment.
“Do you paint?” He asked after a moment. You glanced away from the fridge that you had opened in search of snacks.
“Uhm, sometimes. They’re mostly crap and I do it when I’m depressed more than anything. My sister’s better at it than me, I just, do it for fun,” You explained as you turned back to the fridge. The water had made you feel a little better and though the guilt still lingered in your stomach, you felt soothed by Luke’s presence more than anything.
You grabbed some red grapes from your fridge and quickly began to pick them off the stalk and eat them as you continued to debate what to eat before you went to bed. The grapes didn’t taste as good as they had before you left for the case but they were still good.
Luke had gone quiet as he walked out of the kitchen to admire your paintings through the gloom of the apartment. Neither of you had bothered to switch the lights on, you hated the big lights and there was enough light that you could both move around without an issue.
You placed the grapes back in the fridge and began to search through your boxes of leftovers before you spotted your leftover pizza from a few days ago. You let out an excited squeal as you placed the box of leftovers on the side and grabbed a plate.
“Leftover pizza, my beloved,” You mumbled as you opened up the container. All the slices were perfectly intact and you could have kissed your past self for saving you the delicious goodness for tonight. You did the mental math to make sure that the pizza was still good and as far as you remembered, it would still be good.
So, you transferred the slices to a plate, Luke watched with a suspicious eye as you went to put the plate in the microwave but he quickly said;
“Woah, woah, what are you doing?” He rushed back to the kitchen. You were still holding the plate of pizza slices before you turned back to look at him. His face was half-lit by the moon and you tilted your head to the side.
“Heating up my pizza,” You responded. Your eyebrows were slightly furrowed as you looked at him like he was a dumbass. In reality, he often was a fucking idiot but not with this.
“That is a crime against pizza. Give it here. Where’s your frying pan?” He asked as he walked over, holding his hand out for the plate. You practically glared at him - not happy with him depriving you of your midnight snack - before you passed him the plate, reluctantly. Microwaved pizza was always good to you but you would let him make the stupid pizza how he wanted to.
“That cupboard,” You gestured over. Luke nodded and you watched as he grabbed the frying pan, turned your stove on. He then glanced back at you and sent you a smile.
“Go lie down. I’ll bring it over when it’s done,” He said. You frowned but reluctantly gave in and trudged to the couch. You dropped down onto it and curled up, grabbing the remote. You flicked on Netflix and curled your head into the pillow as you put on your comfort show. You could hear Luke clattering about in the kitchen and he flicked the under the cupboard lights on while you sat in relative darkness.
Time passed like molasses and yet, it clearly wasn’t as slow as you thought because suddenly Luke had your reheated pizza on a plate waiting for you. He warned you that it was hot as you reached out for a slice. He was right and you had to drop it back to the plate, pouting. But the pizza was crispy and you could already tell from just looking at it.
“You’ll never go back,” He insisted with a small smile. You rolled your eyes and picked up the slice again, blowing on it before taking a bite. The cheese was definitely still a bit too hot but he was right. It was better than you could have expected. The crunch on the crust was to die for and the meltiness of the cheese was better than when you had first cooked it. You could have died right there. You stared at Luke, baffled by how good it was.
“I would drop to my knees and do unspeakable things to you right now,” You stated, not even thinking before the words had tumbled out of your mouth. It quickly became clear to you that even though you had sobered up, the filter between your brain and your mouth was still very much gone. The two of you just stared at each other.
His eyes widened slightly at your confession and he blinked slowly at you. It was very clear to him that your filter had been obliterated. He had been expecting it after the stories. But not like this. That was. He didn’t know what to say.
But he managed to compose himself, clearing his throat and saying; “But you’re drunk so you’re just gonna eat the pizza,” He said. You nodded, quickly turning away from him and you returned back to the pizza, munching on it as you focused on the episode. Luke couldn’t help the smile that spread across your face. He was happy that you were and he sat with you as you ate the pizza.
It only took the two of you a few minutes until you had settled back into that comfortable feeling and you shuffled up to him. You offered him a slice and he happily ate it as he indulged you. Your head rested against him as you wrapped an arm around his, keeping it hostage for yourself.
The two of you watched a few episodes of the show before the pizza was finished and you eventually fell asleep snuggled up to Luke’s side. It was probably the fastest you’d fallen asleep in months and he was just glad that you were asleep.
Once he was sure you were knocked out for good, he picked you up from the sofa and carried you into your bedroom. He tucked you into bed and then closed the door. He washed up the plate and the frying pan as quietly as he could before writing a note on a sticky note he found on your coffee table. He then quietly left your apartment, the door clicking shut behind him.
He didn’t want to risk waking you up so he was as silent as he could be.
