The Pinch House (!!!): Part 2

Nicola's new friend Benjamin gifts her a computer, which she promptly sells and uses the money to build a tiny house(!!!). Well, more like a room. It has a door and a roof above her head, which is all she needs. The only furniture she can afford to buy are a small bookshelf (so she can start skilling for a promotion), a crate for a table and a candle to bring light. Despite now having a roof over her head, she still uses the tent to sleep outside. That, however, will have to change once winter comes around.

To thank Benjamin, Nicola asks him out for a date. They head to this small, cute restaurant that... I forgot to place the restaurant podium in, so they don't even get to have dinner. She even had the money to treat him! Oh well, instead they head out to her usual hang out spot in the park, and Nicola cooks them hot dogs. It's not a dream date, exactly, but it could have gone worse. At the end of the date Benjamin says he'd like to meet again and they share a little kiss.

After the date, first snow falls in Oddity.

julian actually loves reality shows! he's just not one for dating shows because he always feels bad for the people who just wanted to find love but got sent packing. his favorite reality shows are the ones where he gets to see people working on their passion craft. cooking, special effects makeup, tattoos, fashion, drag, and recently woodworking... he loves all of it.

julian is big on adventure (a new trait of his!) and is always willing to try new things out at least twice, because everything and everyone deserves a second chance.

anthony bourdain was his biggest inspiration in throwing his law degree to the wind and changing his entire career in his 30s.

It took me a week (mainly because of real life stuff happening) but I think I finally have the place to move my Lovelace family to. I almost gave up, accepting that maybe Chestnut Ridge wasn't going to be for this generation.

It's not totally done, I need to wait before moving them in and I need to figure out how to make the pond look less meh but it's done enough that I'm finally satisfied and maybe can fit some gameplay in this weekend. 😌

ughhhh nobody let me on this website until i make the changes i need to make to my resume and apply to some jobs

#i was gonna buckle down and work on my resume all day yesterday #but i had insomnia tuesday night THENNNN was woken up at 8am sharp by construction. which went on ALL DAY btw!!! #and i was too tired to go anywhere else bc this was my second night in a row of getting < 6 hours of sleep #i spent a solid 8 hours or so playing sims while watching veep. i was completely useless all day and it was kinda awesome lol #my resume isn't *bad* obviously because i've gotten a few interviews but i think i can make it better #i think i need to change how i describe the stuff i did in grad school bc i think people don't see it as experience in data science #they see my resume and THINK i only have 1.5 years of experience but everything i did those 4 years of grad school was data science!!! #i came up with research questions and trained machine learning models and performed hypothesis testing etc.!!! #it was just in a different domain!!! so i need to reword that section of my resume and then i think i'll be good. #...... ok i'm gonna stop stalling and get to work now lmao #m.txt
