I'm not in 100 years reading wind, so what's the nightstar stuff as well as the harelight execution scene?

The Nightstar Stuff is that they're constantly making it clear they KNOW that cats can lie about getting the 9 lives, they KNOW that a murderer can receive the lives, and they KNOW that StarClan has never rejected an evil cat before... but then they handwave it away because they don't wanna do anything.

Nightstar/Nightpelt gets namedropped six times and vaguely alluded to a dozen more, but it means nothing to the story. You could have just forgotten him entirely and the plot would happen the same way.

Most of this book is the leaders finding excuses to sit on their butts, but I really only need to share one exchange to demonstrate just HOW stupid this is,

god i wish they hadn't retconned maul's death. i get wanting to explore more of his character because he was, objectively, one of the coolest star wars characters to ever hit the big screen and didn't get much screentime prior to his death, but also his role was fulfilled perfectly within those constraints so i wasn't too upset by it.

but by retconning it and making it so he never died it's like. okay. what now? the whole point (well, to me, ymmv of course) of the theed generator fight was that it was the first ever fight between the jedi and the sith in thousands of years, and that in the end even though the jedi (obi-wan) won the fight, a jedi (qui-gon) and a sith (maul) still died. a master and an apprentice dying together to herald the start of a new age/the return of the sith. perfectly paralleling the way in rotj a master (palps) and an apprentice (anakin/vader) died together to herald the return of the jedi. in both instances, a father figure (qui-gon/vader) dies in the arms of their son (obi-wan/luke) as a sith (palps/maul) is cast down into the abyss to their deaths. (palps being alive in the ST and retconning his death in rotj is also annoying for this reason)

i mean i like maul. don't get me wrong. he's an incredibly compelling character and i enjoy seeing more of him... but there's always the thought hovering in my mind like "he should be dead though. he should 100% be dead. this wouldn't be happening if he was dead, but i honestly would rather it not if it meant that maul was dead."

like the tpm fight just doesn't hit the same knowing that canonically he's just. going to become a robot octopus at some point. (shoutout to palps becoming sith glados in the ST) it cheapens the moment for me. it was supposed to be a moment of triumph marred by the deep and soul-crushing loss of a loved one and it's just... not, anymore. or at least not to the same extent. AUGH i'm just. frustrated. wish star wars as a whole wasn't constantly reframing/retconning what's been established. just puts a bad taste in my mouth.

With the end of 3.07: Tempest directly saying that Weepe isn't who he says he is, I've been wondering... does Imelda actually know? And has she known this entire time?

Bear in mind I'm on the public release schedule, so I don't know what happens or is learned in 3.09: Baron, which I suspect is a Weepe and Kozma episode given the icon and title.

It isn't the first time that Weepe is suggested not to really be "Moc Weepe". The appendices for 1.12: Coda (the episode where he kills Atticus) has a prescription for the use of Weepe's medical kit addressed to a redacted name.

Imelda knows more than she should about Weepe's Fold condition and what his daily treatment is. There's plenty of ways she could have known it—especially under the consideration that the Trust has a rather strict panopticon vibe going on—but it occurs to me that one of those ways is if she... somehow read his full unredacted medical file. The Mothers maintain a strict Mother-patient confidentiality (2.12: Lazaretto), but I don't know how secure the lazaretto actually is or how difficult it actually would be to illicitly acquire a file.

I also think about how often it's brought up in 2.13: Inside that Imelda doesn't know who or what she's dealing with here, how she knows something that she shouldn't, and how certain she is about what are absolutely unknowns to Spahr, who is working with direct observation.

There are a bunch of other suspicious comments, but I don't really have anything to contextualize them with in the moment, they've just got a Suspicious Vibe that I can't really articulate what's wrong, so I'm going to have to hold off on talking about those for now. But I'm looking at all of this stuff from Inside and just thinking about how OFTEN it is said that Imelda doesn't know who she's dealing with and, now, it makes me ask.... what if she does? What if she knows EXACTLY who she's dealing with here?

I hate to write some random rant, but I really wish players would start boycotting The Sims 4.

Each new patch/DLC brings more and more glitches and bugs which developers refuse to fix or accidentally(?) create more bugs to fix some. Like for example right now there is a missing moodlets bug that corrupts some saves and because of this these must be deleted.

DLCs (mainly kits) are bland, almost empty, poor quality and expensive junk while modders create huge CC packs and mods that are high quality and most importantly free and also they fix the bugs that EA made.

Still, I feel sorry for console players who don't have the option to fix/improve the game unlike PC players and it makes the game unplayable due to broken patches.

Then players are reporting to EA who gives empty promises that they will fix it and later next DLC drop and it's same crap. It goes on and on in a never-stopping cycle.

And what's the worst, what annoys me the most? That some players want more content into game and EA wants TS4 to continue on even after Project Rene (The Sims 5) is released. It's a huge red flag since what a horrible state the game is in right now.

If you have TS4 as your comfort game and it helps improve your mood, please try to play either previous The Sims games like The Sims 2 and The Sims 3 or a completely different game. The possibilities are endless.

I'm saying this (even I'm just screaming into void) bcs I just don't understand when everyone says EA is one of the worst AAA video game companies, people still buy their games and DLCs which are unfinished and buggy.
