Awright, let’s get this over with.

Welp, PR Department’s been tellin’ me this would help boost the public’s opinion of the company, so might as well get this over with.

Name’s Clay, founder and CEO of the Driftveil Mining Company in Unova. Pronouns are he/him, since that’s gotta be put up there. Card is below.

The company’s PR Department has been sayin’ that makin’ an account on this Rotomblr thing would “make the company more open to input” and make me ‘n particular, as the head a’ said company, “more approachable.” No idea what that’s got to do with anythin’, but I ain’t one ta look a Mudsdale in the mouth. Won’t be postin’ a whole lot, maybe just big moments as they come along. I ain’t as big on this social media stuff as, say, Burgh or Elesa (no offense to either of ‘em, they’re just better at this than ‘n old-timer).

Welp, I asked and you guys answered. So here we are.

Mod's name is Lyra, age 29, She/they, and will be following from @batscrem since this is a side-blog. Anything that is out-of-character/OOC will be tagged as such and either under a cut or be in double parentheses ((like this)). In-character will be tagged “Here’s the Dirt” (get it, cuz Ground types, hahaha what am I doing).

Don't have anything big in particular planned for this guy so far, so I guess this is what some people would call a "low stakes" blog? There will be a lot of canon, but also some headcanons here and there to fill in spaces. The Pokemon lore has a lot of gaps after all, which makes it super flexible.

11.03.23 Update: Realized that some things need explaining.

Clay is the main muse of the blog, but there are two recurring OCs that pop up now and then. They came about organically and weren't planned from the start, hence why I didn't bring them up until now.

Mildred

Mildred is Clay's PR agent and the one who brought up the idea of a blog in the first place. She'll pop up now and then to give her two cents. Her posts will be under "Mildred from PR."

Sigmund

Sigmund is Clay's son, who's been out of Unova for twelve years. Why? It's complicated, but there were issues that spiraled out of control when he was 12 and he ran away. His posts will be under "Sig Erden."

And then there's a special third other who occasionally pops up under the tag "Mister Mayor." Who is he, well that one I think is more fun for people to find out on their own ;)

March 29 - 30, 2024 - I Don't Even Like This Character (Home on the Range 20th Anniversary):

Okay, well, that's not entirely true.

It's more that I don't like the person who voices her (who I won't name because I don't care).

That's pretty much I wanted to have my voice unchanged, with the exception being the fact that becoming a cow always leads me to put on a Southern accent.

I mean, I ain't complainin'. Maggie's original VA could barely do a Southern accent herself. I can easily pull it off, no sweat!

As for Maggie herself, I don't know too much about her. I'm postin' this before I watch Home on the Range in full (probably not gonna like it because I've heard it's really dumb and stupid).

I do really like her design, though, I look mighty fine!

Not sure about this pointy chest though, no idea what that's s'posed to be...

Now, I'm sure some of y'all have some questions about this, so let's just get 'em outta the way.

Q: Where is this located? A: On a farm, I booked a vacation to this farm a few weeks ago.

Q: Why'd ya do all this? A: Someone paid me to watch the movie. And besides, with that film, I'm probably not gonna have much fun reviewing it, so spending time on a farm as a cow is just what I need to actually have fun during my time here.

(Hey guys, IRL Davis here. For context, in this canon of mine, I have a Youtube channel with a slightly large following (only a few thousand subscribers). On the channel, I usually like to talk about whatever's on my mind (unless it involves politics, I don't like talking about politics). However, then there's my Patreon (again this isn't real), where people can pay me and request things for me to review)

(About a month for 2 before this TF sequence, someone patrons me to review Home on the Range for its 20th anniversary, and they want me to do something big (they don't specify). However, I, knowing how dull and boring the movie is considered by critics, need to think outside the box for this)

(So, I decide to ask the TF crew to book me a vacation at a farm, wanting to review the movie while there. I ask if I could spend my time there as a cow myself, and they suggest turning into one of the characters from the movie. I choose Maggie because even though I don't like her VA, her large size was something I could possibly get a kick out of. Of course, I ask for my voice to not be changed too much, which they understand)

(Why the vacation? Well, like I said, with how dull the movie is, I have to think of other methods in order to fulfill the patron's request. Plus, the farm we book is very nice. I have a nice place to sleep and everything. Unfortunately, none of the other animals seem to like me)

Q: Why'd ya make Maggie's hair longer in the front? A: Personal preference.

Q: Why the 'erect teats'? A: Personal preference.

Q: If ya don't like Maggie's VA, why'd ya wanna change into her. A: I like being large, that's all.

Q: With the teats and the sweat, I have to ask. Were ya sweaty or horny durin' this sequence? A: Both; surprised you didn't get that from the teats, which are CLEARLY looking hardened as if they're small d***s. Since I'm a female, and therefore don't have a certain male appendage, having my teats become erect when I'm horny makes up for it; and it feels just as glorious... *giggle*

Q: What else are you doing on the farm besides watching the movie? A: I'm prolly gon look at some other things related to Home on the Range, like that one video game they made. Not gon play 'em myself, of course 'cause... Y'know, no thumbs.

Q: Were you told to use a new name when you became a cow? Some farms do that to people. A: Yes, that's true. For some reason, they tried to name me themselves. Tried namin' me 'Bessie', which is dumb because...

That name's too obvious. I feel like I hear people use that darn name for cows way too often.

This cow body is based on a pre-existing character, and she already has a name of her own.

Q: Are you typing this post yourself? A: No, I literally just told ya that I don't have thumbs. A human is doin' it for me.

What do you think of the growing leaks culture that's becoming more prevalent in our fandom? Tbh I read leaks (via this user named Shinrako) and up to today, I still see people that get extremely mad when others interact with leaks. I mean there's no way to stop leaks anw it's bound to happen someday so seeing majority of the fandom denying leaks, especially on Reddit where you'll get banned, that's kinda surprising.

Yo. Ah, finally someone decides to ask my thoughts on the increasing engagement in leaks heh.

And..... Shinrako? Woah been a while since i last saw that name. So he has decided to translate leaks now huh.

Anyway, personally, I'm neutral (is neutral even the right word here lol) about leaks although I won't encourage anybody to start indulging in leaks. For me, I sometimes see them but I don't make it a point to religiously read them every single time the raws are leaked. If I feel like seeing some panels or read the whole chapter on leaks day, I would. But if I don't feel like it, then I wont. And most of the time, I don't anymore. But rest assured even if I might spoil my followers, I'd just mention ONE thing & i prefer to make it vague or just give a hint but thats it I dont spoil people w leaked panels or mention major spoilers. (If I had done so before I'm deeply sorry!)

However, MOST IMPORTANTLY! I would never go as far as to encourage others to read leaks. Leaks will have a significant negative impact on any manga series, in fact anything. If our fandom starts to increasingly read only leaks & dont bother reading the official translations when it's out on MangaPlus, it will affect SakaDays ratings (cuz they have Top 10 Manga list in app so less number of reads, cumulatively, WILL impact any series there). Dont forget the excitement & everythin around it; they will just dampen on the official release day if people who read leaks have alr discussed them & hype it up on leaks day. I want SAKAMOTO DAYS to gain more attention, become widely talked about, become everybody's "one of my favorite manga", get an anime adaptation, and I want people to recognise Suzuki-sensei's phenomenal art & wonderful storytelling. Leaks might just take those chances away...

I don't mind if you read leaks AND the official release when it's out. Cuz that's what I do before and that way you still help Suzuki-sensei. Fck, I even buy the Japanese volumes to support! But dear anon, I hope you arent that kind of person who encourage others to read leaks or help spread the leaks around & eventually not supportin Suzuki-sensei directly via reading it officially. I do not condone that.

And for Reddit, I think that's a good move banning someone for postin leaks. Sure leaks can never cease to exist but for the sake of keeping the SakaDays sub healthy & not promote a leaks-friendly community, particularly before it gets super famous like the JJK sub did, I think what the mods are doing is for the best for everyone there. I'm happy to know there are people who are against having leaks in the SakaDays subreddit btw. Simply put, one can read leaks all they want but don't try to drag or force everyone else to do the same, yknow?

Oky, I know I don't normally do text post things on my blog, I much prefer to just follow people, chat, and look at cool/cute pics from my feed. But yea, I'm chill with postin' my own stuff from time to time.

Anyway, I just wanna do a lil' coming out thing, on multiple fronts.

Firstly, I'm pansexual. For those of you that don't know what this means, it means that I'm liable to fall in love/be in a relationship with anybody, regardless of anything. And while this does fall under an umbrella term of bisexual, please don't call me that. I'm coming out as pan, which means that's what I'd like to be referred to as.

Secondly, I'm a therian, specifically wolfkin. I emotionally relate to wolves. Please don't try to tell me that I'm wrong, or I'm lying, or that I'm faking. I'm not. Unless you can tell me what goes on in my head, unless you can walk in my shoes, then you have no right to tell me that I'm wrong.
