SYNOPSIS: it's just one of those days that don't go your way and soon enough you find yourself crying. yoon quickly comes to your rescue with her love and ice cream, i mean... who could ask for more?

"hey, is everything alright?" you hear a soft voice ask. looking up slowly from your crouched position in the floor, you soon match the voice to the face.

eyes meeting, your bottom lip begins to tremble as you try to keep your tears from falling even further but they move on their own accord.

yoon quickly comes to your aid, sitting down on the cold tile floor, wrapping her arms around your hunched frame tightly. "what happened, y/n?" she asked, keeping her tone soft. you shrug, head leaning on her shoulder.

your last efforts to keep your tears from freeing being completely forgotten as she lays her head upon yours, as she rubs your back comfortingly, whispering words of encouragement and acknowledgment.

after slowly but surely calming down, all that was heard were your sniffles and as you pulled away from yoon, she asks if you're okay again and if you wanted to talk about it.

you open your mouth but close it again, not sure what to say. she rubs your shoulders in an attempt to ease the words out of you.

"just... life is hard, i guess?" you mutter but she still manages to hear catch it. she nods, soft smile gracing her face. "life is definitely hard. one thing's for sure though, is how proud i am of you, y/n." she says sincerely, lightly fixing your messy hair.

she giggles softly, "you're doing your best and that's all that matters to me!" she whisper-shouts "thank you." starting to stand up, you finally muster up the courage to look at her.

she shoves her hands out to you, looking at her quizzically. "let's go get something sweet?" she asks herself, index finger on her chin as if she was contemplating where to go. "ice cream!" she says happily, placing her hands in yours as she lifts you up and pulls you through the empty school halls.

"hey, you're gonna break my arm off!" you shout at her, all she does is laugh and comment on how dramatic you are.

she quickly pulls you into the store, jokingly clutching your arm as if it were badly injured. "awe, stop being such a silly and pick a flavor!" she says teasingly, pointing at the glass case full of colorful flavors.

she asks what you're getting and you settle on the regular ol' strawberry ice cream. smiling and nodding at your response, she walks over to the register and orders two strawberry ice cream cones.

pulling out some cash, you're stopped by yoon who hands you both cones, giving the cashier the money, "it's on me!" she says, smiling before grabbing her ice cream from your hand.

you walk outside of the shop, sitting on the bench outside, basking in the warm afternoon sun. a few minutes pass of you both eating in silence before she speaks up.

"you know, you don't need to tell me how you're feeling or what's going on but i just want you to know that i'm always here for you and that i love you a lot!" she speaks truthfully as she takes your free hand, squeezing it lightly.

a soft smile finds it's way to your face as you squeeze her hand back, a silent way of saying that you love her too and she quickly gets the memo. "you're too good to me! i think... dare i say it...? i love you more than ice cream!" you joke, dramatically placing your hand on your heart.

she laughs at your current state, waving her hand, "you're so corny!" she says between gasping laughs.

you both break into a fit of giggles, clutching your stomach in an attempt to calm yourself. soon, both your laughs died down, nothing but peace and warmth surrounding the two of you.

in that exact moment, you knew that life could never beat the love you two have for each other, no matter how hard it tried.
