That awful sound he never wanted to hear ever again. Chink, chink, chink... The rattling of chains echoing down the halls of Tartarus made Shuichi’s blood run cold.

Obi-Wan is only able to talk about Anakin once he's fully accepted that he is dead and that breaks my heart. Any other time in the series that Anakin's name is mentioned, Obi-Wan immediately shuts down, panics, or has some major negative response, but at the end, he tells Leia about him (and Padmé). He talks about Anakin with such warmth and love, without a trace of that painful guilt he had carried before. He's still grieving him, clearly, but now that he knows he's truly gone, Obi-Wan is able to let go of the unhealthy part of that attachment and simply remember his friend.

He has shed enough tears. Now, looking at Leia and Luke, he doesn't see the past, but the future. He does not feel the old pain when he looks into their eyes.

He feels a new hope.

sheila felt like she needed to compensate for something, so she came on strong. it was her way of making sure she was remembered. but as she started getting less and less jobs, she realized she needed to make a change. so she founded At the Ballet, a musical theater and ballet company which works with kids with shitty home lives who use theater as an escape. every year she holds a huge gala that's free to attend, and throughout the year she holds plays, musicals, intensives, internships, scholarships, classes, workshops, and more. when she started, she was worried that she would go bankrupt because she wanted it to be affordable, but maggie and bebe stand by her and help her, and soon they find that an anonymous donor has begun sending them yearly donations of millions of dollars. as they gain traction, they begin helping young artists around the country achieve their dreams, and behind the scenes, zack continues to write those checks, keeping silent and watching his girls make a difference.

The Rickey Williams trade is such an underappreciated historical event. It lays bare male cisheterosexuality, even moreso for the white American man.

Like just. Look at this. LOOK at it. Where to even start. Williams didn't ask for this. He was quite literally drafted by Ditka (and the New Orleans Saints) with the team receiving the right to sign him to an NFL contract. And framing that as a marriage? As a husband taking possession of a wife? Incredible. There is of course, the emasculation of Williams as a black man while simultaneously framing his body in a dress that shows off his massive frame & arm tattoos. It isn't even symbolism really, as Ditka made his role as the groom his condition for going through with this photoshoot:

I and every other trans woman on earth has encountered the brittle heterosexuality of men like this. Men who see straightness not in who they have sex with but in the dominance of their sexuality; they will fuck trans women whom they see as men so long as their self image is not threatened, and will go as far as murderous violence otherwise. In a parable rivalled only by the Herschel Walker trade, both New Orleans and Washington (to whom they had traded their picks in exchange for drafting Williams) saw no success from this transaction. Williams was hurt and underperformed before being shipped to Miami (where he finally met expectations by the way) and Washington was unable to capitalize on the influx of draft capital. It was a public display of power, greed, and single mindedness that ultimately saw no beneficiaries.
